SW saw the crawling video and all i can say is - you and DH are in so much trouble!!!! My god, that is scary!
Mel LOL about too laid back to come out of the womb!!!
Tasia hope J was OK with his shots
Kel hope you had a better night last night
Feeb is Jacob teething? maybe that was why he was off his food.
Well, we are having serious nap issues. She still sleeps through the night (which is great don't get me wrong) but I'm at a loss to know what is going on with her naps. she only seems to fall asleep on the breast, in the car or in the stroller. Last night I battled with her for hours.... she was nearly asleep and then the Bear came home and we had to start all over again.... but yeah yesterday she had 2.5 hrs sleep between 7am and 10pm . I keep thinking I'm going to stop trying to put her to sleep and just let her crash where she falls... but then she falls asleep (ie feeding, in the car or the pram) and I try to put her in bed, she wakes up and cracks it, but I try to put her to sleep because I figure she must be tired anyway that's my whinge! Gave her farex yesterday afternoon (I wasn't going to but she saw me eating cereal yesterday morning and tried to steal it) and omg she loved it! I had to make more!

    Morning..

We have Jesses orientation day this morning so cant stay for long.

Pixie.. Keiras only really having 2 day sleeps now. One in the morning from about 8.30amish and the other from around lunch time. I just let her fall asleep where ever she is. I dont bother trying to get her to sleep as i figure she will just sleep when shes tired. Id leave her hun if shes falling asleep there ok. Keira during the day mostly sleeps in her rocker. If im holding her and she falls asleep then ill put her in bed but otherwise i just leave her. At night yeh ill transfer her but shes usually out like a light then. I figure that way at least shes getting use to falling asleep in different environments iykwim. So hopefully she'll then be able to sleep anywhere.

Sw.. oh wow thats pretty good! Have fun baby proofing!!

Tasia.. i would maybe try just cut back on the milk. Give him 200mls and see how he goes. Keiras only on 200mls doesnt always finish it and the tin says she should be having 250mls from 4 months. The tins are just a guide. So he could just be bringing back up what he doesnt need cos his tummys full.

Ok thats all i have time for have to run.
Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all

Anastasia - I agree with kel - I was going to suggest cutting down on the amount of milk too. DD only has around 180/160 ml each bottle, some days she will have 5 bottles, sometimes 6 bottles.

Pixie - must mean Beth is pretty laid back too yay with the solids - glad she likes them. DD is starting to look at our food when we are eating it, but not making out that she is annoyed that we are eating and she isn't. Think she will be fine on her bottles for a while yet.

Not much going on today. Thinking of taking the kids into work to show them off... if I can be bothered... lol

    Good morning everyone

Kel and Mel- Jonathan is having 3 bottles every 6 hrs 250mls but he doen't drink it all. He would leave 140mls behind. I have an app with health nurse 2d and i will also ask her as well.

Anastasia - yeah I think me and kel are trying to say that maybe if you pop an extra bottle in the mix (so four bottles) but reduce them to 200ml (reduces wastage anyway!)

I would still be giving him a bottle every 4 hours or so.

Milk is still their primary source of food until they are 1. So if he is chucking it up, he might be too full from the food, which is what they recommend to try to stay away from doing. If they drop down their milk consumption after starting solids, its usually recommended that you cut down on food.

    Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

SW - That video is gorgeous! Way to go your clever little girl. She's going greattttt!!!! We have the same issues with Bubbablue and the camera, he won't even smile for it anymore, he just either stares at it or chats to it. It's so frustratingggg. Good luck with the baby proofing. She'll be zooming around your place in the next few weeks.

Pixie - We're having issues still with the day sleeps. He hates them and gets really grumpy and fights it all the way. Good luck with them I hope whatever you try works for you. I wish I could help and suggest ideas, sorry. It's so tiring. You're doing a great job too!!!!
YAY! Beth for lovin' farex. That's awesome!

Kell - I hope you have a great time at Jesse's orientation. He'll have a balllllll.

Tasia - Good luck at the nurse today.

Mel - I reckon your DD will just skip all the rolling and sitting and be straight to walking and talking too. If you go show of your goregous kids, I hope they are little angels and show everyone how good they can be.

Missy - Have a safe trip!

    As for us.
I got my haircut yesterday, and then last night got DP to dye it for me. It feels really different. It was like half way down my back and now it's all layered and sits on my shoulders. So much lighterrrrrr, and now I don't feel like it's strangling me in my sleep. Lol. It's dyed a dark auburn colour.

Bubbablue is now having one proper meal a day, finally. It's at dinnertime, and he's been eating his vegies too. YAY!
We're still working on the mornings one, but he hasn't really had a bar of it yet. We can only hope and persist.
He's still on 5 bottles a day most days. I really want to cut one out.
I forget how you did it with Elijah, but he was a guts with food so I don't think we had much trouble.
He's also got awful heat rash. My poor little mite. It started to go away when it was cool over the last few days but it's going to be hot again now, ugh!

Tan, Feeb, Zee, Belle, Sweetpea, Mez and anyone I might have accidently missed.

    Have a fantastic day!
    xx

Well i took jonathan to his app with the health nurse today and all is good. We are changing his feeding around. He will now be having brekky in the morning when he gets up which is 6.30-7am so let's say he gets up at 7am he will have brekky then 7.30 he will have bottle 150mls. And lunch will be 12.30pm then bottle at 1pm 150mls, Then 5.30 dinner then bottle at 6pm 150mls, then last bottle at 10pm 150m ls. So i'm taking it from there and see how he goes, i did it before and he didn't chuck.

Ok here is Jonathan 6 months stats.
    Weight- 7.865g
    Height- 67.0

    Hi all,

Glad to see that all the bubs are doing well.

In regards to food, bub is still only on tastes and has 5 or more bf a day. She is not that keen and I am not going to push it.

Bub can crawl backwards now and is starting to try forward and she can sit all on her own.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Evening.

Jesse went really well today at his orientation, considering hes still not 100%. He had a couple of melt downs.. as you do when youre 2! But he played well and loved it. So we'll see how he goes come Thursday with me not there!

Tasia.. yep that sounds good. Yeh what Mel said.. i mean cut back like you are but stay at 4 bottles. Keiras on 4 bottles atm too. Only cut back to the 3 when hes not finishing the 4.

Tenny.. oh Jesse gets a heat rash all the time too! Not nice. Um.. i just cut Keira back to 4 bottles when she started her 2nd meal. She has them now one when she wakes around 7am.. she then has breaky around 8ish.. next bottle around 11-11.30am.. next bottle at 3.30pm-4ish.. dinner at 5.30-6pm and then last bottle at around 8.30pm.. then shes in bed after that. What are you giving him for breaky? Maybe hes not liking it? You can always try custard or something like that.

Well im so tired i thik im going to get an early night. Jess was up 3 times during the night last night with his cold.. damn thing. Hope tonights a better night as hes really worn out from today.

    Nite all..

    Missy: Have a great time!

SW: WOOHOO on Alyssa crawling! LOVE the video! We didn't (and still haven't) babyproofed the house oh other than plugs in the power points, other than that we have just taught Jayden not to go in my cupboards, he has a cupboard of his own with his plates/bowls/cups etc in it, he can go nuts in there.....Hopefully Ashlea is the same and not bother.

Pix: What routine are you doing with her at night (if any), hopefully she will start going to sleep for you again soon! That great Beth loves her Farex!

Feeb: How are you? Hope Jacob is eating soon, poor bub!

Kell: Hope Jesse is better soon, poor boy he gets hit hard when he gets sick doesn't he? Don't think you need a script for demazin. Hope you got an early night, I did last night.....10.30pm I couldn't keep my eyes open after I feed Ashlea so I forgot about everything I had to do and just slept! IL's are here tonight so probably won't be early.

Tas: Hope the new feeding routine works out, thats great he didn't chuck today! Great stats too!

Mel: LOL I think Mehkelti will walk and talk first too, Ash is developing pretty slow too but I love it that way haha and least Mehkelti is happy laying there! Ashlea is hating it now cause you can see she wants to move (probably to get away from Jayden LOL)

Tenny: Woohoo on getting your hair done, how good does it feel??! I need mine done soon but can't be bothered! Hope Elijah's heat rash stays away, not nice is it?

Sweetpea: Miss R sounds like she is doing great! When did she start solids and what is she having?
I was so by the book with Jayden (being the 1st I guess), not sure I'll be as strict when Ashlea starts hehe.

I went shopping with Jayden and Ashlea yesterday, I don't go often with the 2 unless someone comes with me as Jayden is such a handful! We got there at 8.15am, tried on shoes for J, went to the book shop, stopped for piklets and did the groceries with very little trouble! I think the key is not to have anyone else there for J to show off in front of LOL.

Chris is taking the car tomorrow so I'll have a quiet day at home hopefully!

    to anyone I missed

    Hi Tannis,

Reaghan started at 6 months and 3 days, though I would not say that she is really on solids as she has only had realy small bits, like not even half a teaspoon.

she has had, apple, corn, potato, avacado, tomato sauce, chicken, spring onion. to name a few. lol.

It has only been the last few days that she has showed more interest in it.

PMSL - going by the amount of "love" he gave her when we were there - I can understand!!! lol Won't it be cool in a couple of months time - we can catch up all the time then cos we'll only be an hour & a half's drive away from you guys! woohoo!!

Both kids are sick at the moment, so probably going to take them to the docs (on my own - arggh!) today. Both got temps this morning and really bad coughs. Got stuff all sleep last night cos Miss M was coughing and waking herself up so DH kept going into resettle her (yes I didn't get out of bed - lazy me - but I still woke up all the time)

Better go get ready for the day before DH leaves for work!

    Morning..

Well a better night here last night. Jesse slept through woot! He mustve been so warn out from yesterday. I have a dead arm... mustve slept on it.. dont ya hate that.

Tan.. he sure does! Probably making up for the first half of his life where he wasnt sick at all. Thanks hun. Yep you can get the 2+ demazin over the counter so got some of that. I went and lay on the couch after my post and fell asleep there until 10pm then went to bed. So did get alot of sleep.. still feel so tired.. maybe too much sleep? Oh thats great Jayden was so good at the shops for you. Makes it alot less stressful doesnt it.

Mel... oh hope theyre ok. Poor things. Jess has the cough now too.. not fun for them. Hope you can get something that will help. And hope you can get some sort of rest today.

Just a lazy home day today. We all need it. Jess is on the mend has a terrible cough though. Hope hes a bit better for pre-school tomorrow. Will be strange only having Keira all day tomorrow. Im going to miss him i think. Only time ive ever been away from him for that long was when i saw Bon Jovi and stayed at my gf's house over night.

Got some loads of washing to do.. and some house work.. when i can get motivated..

Mel - I hope the kids feel better and behave at the doctors for you.

Kell - I've started giving him that fruit gel stuff. We've found one he likes so that's good. He didn't like the first one we tried. lol. Yesterday we got down to 4 bottles so that's a start. Food twice and stuff. I'm proud.

Sorry at my lack of personals.

Well, had a great day today.... went on the Bay Walk with MG at 8am then we went to the toy library! Beth thought that was a great outing and we bought home a toy for the week.... you have to pay so it is more a hire than a library, but I thought it would be good for those big bulky toys that are great for a week then they lose interest and it's taking up real estate for the next five years... we don't have room for that! we nipped up to the shops to buy some fish for dinner and had a quick dip in the pool! She woke up at 3 so hopefully she will be nice and tired to go down at seven Wow it was hot here today, lucky we are on the water so we get the breeze - which is more like a force 10 gale right now!
Kel glad J slept last night for you again... what a bummer him being sick
    Tenny
Mel - for the kids being sick! you poor bugger
sweetpea I know what you mean I am just giving DD little bits.... kind of thrown caution to the wind a bit though... today she had a suck on my raisin toast and some of my drink after our walk - both were big hits!
Tan woohoo on the kids behaving at the shops!
    Tasia great stats
to SW, Belle, Zee, Missy, Mez and to those I missed!
Anyway hope everyone had a great day

    Hi everyone

Well i had a good day today. I went to my friends house in Delahey. There was also other 2 girls there with their babies (so cute). The first time i met her other friends. They r from mothers group they used to attend. I met my friend through my other friend at her 32nd b'day last year. She's so sweet, she invited me to her place today along with the other girls. They go to each other's houses ever wednesday, they take turn. So next wed this other girl i met 2d, she invited me to ur place. But i don't think i would be able to do this every wed.
I was trying to put Jonathan to sleep last night afgter one hour, my god. I'm like go to sleep already, usually he falls asleep on my lap when i give him his last bottle. But these last 2 nights no way. It's also the heat as well. So i rocked him in the bouncer and he fell asleep, then i put him in his cot. But he did wake up twice last night i gave him a bottle first time round and the 2nd time round i gave him water. He must've been really hot last night, poor bugga.

Melb girls- are we still on for next friday-williamstown?

Pixie- Glad u had a great day sweety.

Kel- That's great that Jess went great on his orientation. awwwwwwww sweety, yaaay for Jess starting pre-school 2m. You will be fine and so will Jess. I know i will be crying when Jonathan starts pre-school.

Mel- Oh sweety i hope ur kids get better soon.

Tan- He is going great sweety thank -u

I don't think i mentioned this before but i have booked Jonathan's christening for the July 12. I will be doing his 1st b'day and christening together. His 1st b'day is on the 11th July, the christening the day after. Can't wait
