Hey gals.

I have major pains in my tummy and knew I would then spend quite of bit of time on the loo.

Something has upset me and I am not sure what.

I had a museli bar for brekky, a toasted sandwich for morning tea with a decaff coffee, and then spaghetti on toast for lunch.

I am sure it something I ate as I do have a sensitive gut.

Do you think if I am feeling horrible from whatever it was, that this would go thru my breast milk. I sooo don't want Riley feeling this way. I feel awful!

Hi Ladies,
I'm a newbie to Baby Buddies and thought I'd introduce myself. I've just come over from July 16th-30th BellyBuddies Group.
I was due with my first on July 28th but Connor David decided to arrive early on July 10th at 6:08 in an emergency c-section (stubborn boy was breech). Weighed in at 7lbs 14oz (3570g) and was 49cm. He was in the special care nursery for the first 24 hours as he has fluid on his lungs and hypothermia.
Have had a little trouble breastfeeding as I have a fast flow and he drowns in it so attaching is difficult. I'm expressing at least 3 times a day for him and he's taken to the bottles of breast milk better than the breast.
Sleeping in his own room in a bassinett and is waking through the night at 10-11pm, 2-4am and 7-9am which we're very happy with. Sleeps fantastically at night but not very well during the day. But at least its not the other way around I guess :D
Anyway, looking forward to discussing the many ups and downs of motherhood with you all.

Sheree - I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that kind of thing will not transfer through your milk. Hope you are feeling better.

Hope you're all going well with your little ones?

okay, most exciting thing for a lot of you who know me already - BONDY HAS A NEW JOB!!!! For those of you who don't know me, Bondy has been in the (stoopid) army for 6 years and after being messed around for a while now, he's managed to get out!

He got a call the other night - he's now got a job working on the coal mines down Emerald way (South east Qld - just out of Rockhampton!). He's at his medical at the moment and we've just got a couple of things that need sorting out before we have start dates etc. I'm so excited. Hopefully it will be a fly in fly out position at the moment but we'll consider moving down to Emerald / Rockhampton in a few months if he goes well and is enjoying it!

Tan032 - how's the whole pooing situation going? have you tried the sugar & water yet? I swear by it - Jess has had a few times where she is soooo blocked up and is grunting and carrying on. I give her 1/2 tsp raw sugar (apparently brown sugar works too) that has been dissolved in 60ml hot water (cooled down of course!) and within an hour, things are moving. BE WARNED: it's a real mess when it goes through, but the look of relief on Jess's face makes it worth it!!!

Jess is still all smiles and is as beautiful as ever. She's got a brilliant appetite on her - sometimes she will drink 125ml of milk (formula) and then some days she's got a growing spurt or something and will then cry because she's still hungry, and has been known to polish off another 125ml straight up! Wow.

She's now booked into day care for a couple of hours a week... gets her used to being around other people, and gives me a chance to do a bit more work which is good too!

Sheree - I would definately suspect the decaf... What on earth were you thinking drinking unleaded? LOL (I am a naughty mummy who drinks short blacks and wonders why Bella will not sleep) - Fingers crossed you are feeling better soon honey it is not nice feeling off when you have 2 little ones to deal with.

Bella is actually sleeping pretty well at the moment, but the naughty little miss has worked out that bottles are much less effort than boobie juice.
Unfortunately I worked a night shift last Sunday and she had to have a formula feed and since she really mucks about when she is on the breast because I am sure that she knows that I will lose patience and give her a bottle if she keeps it up.

Thankfully my supply is still 100% and she gets covered in BM if she doesn't suck because it just keeps flowing once it has started.

Oh and her tear duct looks like it has cleared up HOORAY! No gunk for 2 days now!!

And yes, baby buddies is quieter than Belly Buddies.... must be because our hands are now full and our bellies are empty.

Taz - Congrats on Bondy's new MINING job! Yipee for you!
Fingers crossed for the FIFO - good money and quality time when he is home would be awesome. I wish Darren could get out, but we have until Sep 09 before he is free to choose if he will stay or go another 4yrs. Urgh....

Just a quick post, super busy atm with paperwork from our business (our Newsagency)....

but just came into brag..... SORRY gals but.....

My boy slept thru till 5am this morning.

My routine last night was 5pm Bath, 6.30pm Feed, 7.30pm Asleep, 10pm Dreamfeed, and then he slept till 5am. Whahoo.....

We heard him start to cry at 2am, and I said to Wade, ohhh 2am seems to be his time to wake!! And then Wade said just let him go for a minute and we will see if we have to go and get him. Sure enuf it was only a few little cries and then we never heard him again until 5am.

Gosh I can't believe it. Sleeping thru at 7 weeks old. Well we will see, 2nite is different night!

Feels promising though, you never know!

Hi Gals,

Bella had her 4wk check yesterday. My lovely family doctor was amazed by her progress.

Bella now weighs 4.5kgs, is 55cms long and has a HC of 39cms.

At birth she was 3.19kgs, 49.5cms and had a HC of 36.5 so she is definately growing well.

Her weight shocked me a little....fat little piggy she is at the moment. 3 rolls on one thigh and 4 rolls on the other.

Oh and she has decided that she can roll from her back to her side and almost makes it onto her belly. Not impressed, I am sure they are not meant to be rolling anywhere at 4wks of age.

Taz: Lochie has finally gone, we had tried the sugar thing twice and it didnt budge, so back to coloxyl drops and bang yeseterday he went with a vegence, the poor mite screamed and screamed and then it was like relief and a nappy to knock your socks off.
He isreally unsettled today, just had some infants friend, did a big burp and several bottom rumblers and has fallen asleep in my arms, problem is he will wake as soon as i put him down.

Congrats on Bondys new job.

So, we still haven't heard any more about Bondy's job but hey, this week should bring a heap of good news!

Tan - glad that Lachie finally went! WOO HOO! I know what you mean about the nappies though - when Jess finally went it was a horrid one... never thought I would be so happy to have a pooey nappy!

Naomi - that's great that Bella is growing so well. Fingers crossed that when Darren has done his stint he gets out too. Not sure about you, but I could see the army sucking all life and enthusiasm out of Bondy!

Sheree - yep, will definately drop in for a visit if we end up down that way!

Jules - dream feeding is what I got told when I was pregnant to encourage the baby to do. But, I couldn't do it (apart from the fact that Jess wouldn't attach anyway!)... the baby sleeps in bed with you and is permanately attached to you so whenever bub is hungry it doesn't have to cry or anything...just suck.

Jess is going great guns. She's full of smiles and coos which I'm still loving. She is great at chucking temper tanties when things aren't going her way (which is usually revolved around me not having the bottle ready NOW when she decides she's hungry!). Bondy's twisted around her little finger. She spun us out on Friday by rolling from her tummy to her back. She did it once, and Bondy saw it and I told him that a baby of not-even-6-weeks shouldn't be able to do that, so I put her on her tummy again and saw it for myself! I'm so proud!

I went out last night with a girlfriend of mine for dinner, drinking and dancing (this bottle feeding has another advantage - I can drink again! LOL) and Bondy stayed home and looked after Jess. They apparently watched Rambo 4 which I think was far more exciting for Bondy than it was for Jess! Bondy has informed me that next time I go out they're going to watch ALL of the Rambo movies - oh, what fun!

Anyway, gotta head off and get stuff done around the house. Hope you're all having a great weekend.

I am at work and I get calls telling me what he and the children have just purchased and I roll my eyes toward the heavens and pray to whatever god is out there listening that his credit card will explode into a gazillion pieces so that he can not buy any more crap for a house that has no room left.

Just a quick post inbetween housework and Kindy pick ups.
Lachlan is going great guns, Stewart is working stupid hours at work and is never home . which is driving me insane as i am having to do everything on my own.

Lachlan is starting to get into a habit of feeding around 8pm then going down till 5 in the morning, although he does try and sneak in extra feeds during the day to make up for it. Yesterday i left him at home with Stewart for a few hours, he had a bottle of ebm and gulped it down. But i think he was still hungry and missed his catch up feed so last night he woke at 2 am for a feed. ah well we will get there. He is growing like crazy though .

well take care all i am going to use the peice and quiet to get a few things one while Lachlan is asleep

Hope everyone is going well and bubs are sleeping well.

Poor Reaghan and I have both had the flue, she still is not sleeping well and still wont sleep in her bassinet, it worked for a week and that was it. Day times are getting hard as to get her to sleep I have to bounce her in the bouncer and when I stop she wakes up so cant leave her. Going to try some tuff love soon as trying the peacefull ways are not working.

She is getting better today and we are having or 6 week checkup on Thursday will be interesting to see what she weighs and how much she has grown.

Just a quick post before Riley wants his bottle (so know what you mean about the temper tantie when the bottle isn't delivered promptly Taznbondy!!) The little man is going so well, full of smiles. I dont know about everyone else but I could sit there all day pulling silly faces just to see those beautiful smiles!
Went for our check up with the community nurse, told her that Riley seems to be getting alot of wind and she told me that all the signs of wind can also be signs of being over tired and that he needs to be sleeping more. Problem is he sleeps for a little while then wakes up crying and pulling his little legs up, im pretty sure thats wind!!! Anyway i have put him on infacol drops and it seems to be helping, he is now sleeping a lot better and getting into a better feed play sleep routine during the day which is always nice!
Tan, glad Lochie is feeling better, its so horrible to see them in pain and not be able to do anything for them.
Sweetpea, think im getting the flu too so I know how you feel, just hope i dont pass it onto bubby. Hope your little one starts sleeping better for you.

Argh - I have been awake since 4am thanks to Darrens alarm clock and Bella's grunting!
At 4am on the dot Darren's alarm started bleeping away only to be turned to snooze, not once, not twice, not even three times, but four! By the second round of beeps I was awake and so was Bella, but our favourite man was still stubbornly avoiding conciousness.

Sure I feel for him. I mean he has to get up early - and no one in their right mind actually enjoys being up before the sparrow has even considered farting... but really!
I did the night feeds. It is meant to be an unspoken law that when your breastfeeding partner and baby are in bed beside you, you make every effort to get your @rse out of bed like a shot to ensure that they can slumber for 5 minutes longer!

But NO. I was the silly one who was up cooking him breakfast this morning before the frost had even settled on the grass.

Bella has since decided that she doesn't want to go back to sleep. Porsha is due to be up in not very long at all, and I have the most horrendous cough post head cold that I can remember.........Oh and did I mention that I just needed to vent?

Jules - what sort of news are you reading at 2am? Unless you are fluent in Russian I can not imagine that anything exciting is happening at that time of the day!

i feel for u naomi!!! i dont know what id do if i couldnt sleep thru DH alarm and the constant snooze and alarm going off but i do and so does alyssa. however a few times now alyssa has woken around alarm time for a feed so its good timing i suppose! (but still nothing like 4am!)

weve had some sleepless days here.. alyssa likes to fall asleep while feeding and sleep in my arms, if i put her down she wakes up. so id spent all last week doing that up till after the midday feed and then go shopping for 4-6hrs straight(id walk down the street and back, BUT i swear its rained for 2 weeks straight and forecast is another week of rain! ARGH!!!!!!!), as she likes to sleep in the pram if its moving... ah least the baby bonus is put to good use! ROFL!

I feel like she is feeding ever hour or two for 5-30mins and sleeping for 20-30mins in my arms or 10-15mins if i put her down. (its just sooo damn confusing!!)

yesterday i tried waking her every time she fell asleep while feeding, made sure she burped to kingdom come and then put her down in the bassinette for the pram (which was on the floor in front of me) it worked better, up till DH came home and dinner time.. dinner time up till 9-10pm is her big unsettled time. Once she goes down tho its nice when she wakes for a 3am feed and then again at 7am! cant complain about that!! :D Shes fine thru the night, but a grump thru the day!

the cat or kitten is in heat again too.. (im the one who wants it desexed) and theres now a tom in the area and he gets under our house and calls ALL FREAKING DAY!!!! id love a word or 2 with whoever owns him, as its driving me bonkers.. im glad it doesnt wake/keep me awake.. much to exhausted i guess! (theres only 1 place where he can get in under the house, but i blocked it up last time and then heard him under there and had to unblock it.. so maybe its even sleeping down there now?!!)

Just had to share this gem. Bella and I had a bath together last night and she was so happy that she wanted to gurgle the whole time. This is the first time that we have been quick enough with the camera to almost catch a real smile......but true to form Bella stuck her tongue out just at the moment that the flash went off.

Jules I am currently trying a homeopathic drop, but was told yesterday that if you use Infacol and Infants Friend together it works wonders - apparently. Something about one releasing the entrapment better and the wind.

As for the diet, I haven't changed mine, but they say windy foods are sugary foods, so if you are going to have sugary foods - do this in the morning as apposed to the afternoon. Even foods like corn and peas are apparently sugary, so try to avoid these vegies at night time meals.

Jules - Bella has not been very windy, but Porsha was always suffering from wind. I found that green vegetables in my diet seemed to make her wind worse? Or maybe it was my imagination.....or maybe I was looking for a way out of eating my greens.

I did find that Infacol worked on her when combined with Infants friend as Sheree suggested. I also learnt to get really good at rubbing it out of her. Loads of squishing baby seemed to calm Porsha's wind more than any drops ever could have.

Either way it is a painful time for both Sam and you - so I send you some calming vibes to try and take the edge off watching your little man squirm.

Lachlan had a rough day yesterday. in the morning he did a poo after 6 days again and it was everywere.
I had a great time trying to clean it up. Only way was a quick bath in the kitchen sink. After this he did not settle all day and just seemed to want to feed all day. I ended up giving him some formula so i could just get a break. He drank 140mls and feel asleep. I felt so bad after though but managed to express a feed for him and once again when he slept i got another bottle of EBM so i know i have the milk. At least now though i can give him a bottle of breastmilk if he has another hungry day.
I cant believe he is 6 weeks already.

hi ladies.

Well, things are going pretty well here. I went to the dr this morning for my 6 wk check up - all good - and they also weighed & measured Jess. She's now 4.4 kg (was 3.42 when born) and 56cm long (50.5 cm when born) so all is going well. Oh, her HC is now 37cm.

She's full of smiles and coos which is awesome. She's discovered her tongue and keeps poking that out, and is finding her hands at the moment too so is grabbing everything she can reach!

I could honestly spend HOURS just sitting and watching her every day. Bondy plays "Peek-a-boo" with her and she loves it. I'm so glad he's getting lots of smiles as well as me!

I had Jess in the bath with me (if you would call it a bath - such a poor excuse and so tiny!) the other night for the first time. It was great. Still no excellent photos of her smiling yet. She seems to go serious as soon as I pull out the camera!

Well, the latest on Bondy's job is that it's pretty much full steam ahead. He's getting a letter written up today so he can hand it in to the stinking army. they want him to start out at the mines on the 22nd Sept. Kind of a good thing, but then he wants to spend the first 3 weeks down there instead of coming up on his first 7 days off. I can understand that - gives him time to suss things out down there, get his bearings, find different things (like a place to live!) and then he will come up after his 2nd 7 day shift!

but, we've done lots of talking and it looks like I'll be moving down there with Jess in as little as 8 weeks (think I may have already mentioned that in a previous post?) which is pretty much confirmed now! ARGH! Hopefully we will be able to get a relocation through the army - Bondy's entitled to one - which saves me having to pack the entire house, as well as looking after Jess by myself, sorting out redirection of mail, etc etc etc.

I can honestly say that I'm pretty nervous about such a big move with a little baby. I know it's not THAT far from Townsville to Emerald but it's to a place I don't know (anyone know of good medical centres / suburbs to rent in / places to work / child care centres???) where I won't be working straight away so don't have that outlet to meet more adults.

It's an adventure though, so I should be okay in the long run... I'm sure I'll be able to find a play group or something like that!

Gotta go - Jess is starting to whinge again and her bottle isn't ready (what a terrible mother I am!!!)

Taz, we have friends that live in Emerald and they have young children. Their names are Dean and Kristy Matheson. Dean was born and raised there and Kristy grew up there I think. Anyway, both are really great friendly people and worth getting to know. Kristy should be able to help you out with the doctors and childcare situations etc. If you want their number PM me. Dean knows everyone!!

Flynn is going great! He weighs 5.9 kg (not bad for a month early!), 59cm long and hc of 41cm. So yes he's a big boy!! A big chubby bubby!!

Still only wakes once a night for a feed and its usually a quick one 'cause he's not fully awake. Then he doesn't wake til about 7-7.30. So we are getting great sleep atm.

Well must go and pick the other two up.

hi all,

I hope everyone is haveing a better time of it than I am at the moment, bub still has the flu, she is all snuffly and is not sleeping well and to top it off she only slept from midnight to 7 this morning and in that time woke twice for a feed and has not slept well today. DH has been called into work tonight so wont be home till about 8am tommorrow, hopeing bub is more settled tonight.

We have our 6 week check tommorrow so will find out how much she has put on since she was 11 days old lol.

Reaghan had her 6 week check on Thursday (6w 6d) she is now 5.350kg, 55cm length, 39cm head. All good. So she is doing well. However on the sleep front and a routine she does not have one and at night she is still feeding every 2-3hrs I think this is more from her still haveing a cold. In the day she either sleeps in her bouncer or swing and is more upright so she sleeps a bit longer.

Well, Bondy is away (he left this morning to head a couple of hours north for a buck's night tonight so won't be back til tomorrow!) and Jess is asleep, so I thought I would get on here quickly to say hi since the house is clean now!

Jess is going through a growth spurt at the moment - she's averaging close to 300ml of milk for her night feeds before going to bed. She then sleeps through from 9pm to 4.30am. Not bad really. During the day, she varies with her feeds from drinking 120 - 280 ml each time.....

Sweatpea - glad Reaghan's health check went well. Hope she's doing better soon with her cold.

Naomi - how are you feeling hun?

Hi everyone, hope you are all well!

Haven't had a chance to get on to the internet much The wind drops I use are just the ones from the supermarket and they seem to work well.

Grace is going well, she is very placid and still sleeps through the night, or if she sleeps at 7 or so she'll wake up at 2 or so for a feed.

Like most of you she struggles a bit with her poos, so I will be trying the sugar trick in the bottle, because some days she is in so much pain and I feel so bad for her. She grunts and groans and cries to no avail!

I have slowly been writing my thankyous, Grace has been so spoilt and just when I think she can't get anymore stuff another present arrives! Her wardrobe is so full I cannot squeeze another outfit in! I think I should have called her Imelda and not Grace as she has so many clothes!

Grace has just gone into the 00 size in the Bonds growsuits, oh she is growing so fast :( but has the tiniest feet!

I go back to work in a few weeks and am dreading it. Grace is being minded by a good friend and my sister but I can't imagine not being with her now.

Hi Ladies,

Well life has seemed to pass in a blur the last few weeks. Lachlan had his check up yesterday and is doing great guns. He is now 61 cms long so he has grown 11 cms since birth and he now weighs 5600grams so has put on 2450grams since birth. and his head circumference is now 38cm .

The gp was great , she is a new one for us and im so happy i changed to her. She has even given us a referal to take Lachlan to a plastic surgeon for a consult. Lachlans right ear seems to have no cartlidge in it, While it has improved since birth its still not perfect, this is just a cosmetic thing and we are just going to discuss it, His ear may fix itself as it is 10 times better then when he was born.
Basically he just had a flap of skin as an ear it had no shape to it at all, it has now started to curve over and form a lobe but only part of the ear.We think he must have lyed on that ear in the womb. Something minor of course but as his Mum i just want to make sure its all ok.

Hamish is now starting to feel a little left out and if someone comes up to us to look at Lachlan he will jump in front and demand their attention.

Lachlans poo issues have sorted he had a few weeks were it was only once a week and then this week we have had 6 dirty nappies so things are good that end.

I have been MIA lately as i have been getting into a 'routine' with the 3 boys, doing wedding stuff and trying to clean house! What a challenge..
Koen has been growing well, he is almost out of 000 growsuits, he has grown 3cms since birth, put on 1kg and HC 1.5cm. I actually think he is going through another spurt coz he has been sleeping alot lately. He normally has a feed around 9 then sleeps till 3 then till 7. It normally takes a bit for my boys to sleep through, i think Zhai was the fastest at 3 months, Jett was at 1 year!
Jett has been waking up and coming into us at night (as he is in a single bed) and goes back to sleep in our bed so i do the transfer... Only for him to come back at 5am! Grrr. We got up at 5am today so i think i will be having a nanna nap today (weather is great for it) catch up on some sleep.
My older two are feeling a little left out at times, as they are demanding alot of attention, Poor lil fellas. I hope things setle down soon.
Oh sorry to hear you are having trouble with your little ones with their pooping, Koen is having trouble breathing when he is feeding, he doesnt know how to get the suck/swallow/breathe thing yet.. He is getting better slowly.
Oh and i had a pure baby moment yesterday... I picked up the follow on formula for him instead of the starter, with my last $20 and i opened it.... Lucky H2B gets paid today!! What can i do with this tin now??? Any Suggestions??

I had an excellent night last night, Reaghan went to sleep in her car capsule when I was heading out at 720pm stayed asleep the whole time I was out, so when I got home left her in it thinking she would wake aroun 1030-11 for a feed nope so carried her in it into my room and she slept there till 5am this morn so I had a great 6 hr sleep and then she feed and went back to sleep so she slept for 12 hrs with one feed. I know it won't happen everynight but it is what I needed.

She is starting to get over her cold/flu so hoping that she will start to get into a routine soon.

OMG my child slept for 12 hours straight.... I AM STILL IN SHOCK!

Alyssa has been doing alright... feeding every 2 hrs during the day and then every 3-5hrs during the night.. feeling so tired. Alyssa hates sleeping in her cot, by herself.. her big sister being noisy in the hall or her bedroom doesnt help much either..

Alyssa still fits in her 0000, and the 000 are still small enough that she can kick her legs out of the legs bit. I weighed her at home and she is bout 4800g now, 1.1kgs in 5 weeks!!

Decided to drop the MCHN and go with our GP.. I didnt like that the MCHN blabbed on about her medical opinon when it came to alyssa's tongue tie.. so thankful we got it snipped as it has been a godsend for my nipples! Not to mention in the home visit she totally ignored tia, who then tried even harder to get her attention..

Havent used my breast pump in ages, i lost the darn white valve and just got a new pack of them so now i have spares.. i just dont know how i could find time or milk to pump seeing as im feeding every 2hrs from the start of each feed to the next..

Tia starts kidnder/preschool this week on thursday for a 5hr session. her first 5hr session away from home in aawhile. Im looking forward to it, just dont know how on earth we will be out the door and arive there on time at 9.15am (walking!!)

also i dont know what it is but alyssa is addicted to looking at our blinds (when shut).. not even i can get her attention for that long, yet she will quite happily lay on the change table for 10mins just looking at the blinds! thinking of moving her cot closer to them.. lol.

well I have been MIA since page one of the new tread - sorry about that - i have been reading but as soon as I get ready to write a reply Jackson seems to wake up and want to play or have a bottle!

He is doing so well, sleeping like an angel - he doesnt wake up until about 4.30 (we put im to bed at 10 - 10.30) and we have even had some 6.30 - 7.00 wake ups so cant complain on that front!!

He is now on the bottle full time. I had issues with no milk and then medication to bring it on more and then as soon as I went off the meds it went away... not to worry - now that I am over the fact that I cant feed him myself I feel a lot better about things, I think it was more worry about what other people would think/say than anything else though. there are still a lot of people out there who think bottle feeding is not good for bubs but hes doing fine so to hell with that!!

Glad to hear that everyone is enjoying their babies, Jacksons going up so fast - hes in 00 growsuits and not far out of 00 clothes. Hes 60cm long and weighs 5.36kg - very long and lean.

Well I will try and write more often, and do some personals next time.

O and about the step 2 formula - maybe you can give to a friend or neighbour?

Hi Ladies - Not sure if this will be coherent as i have had a grand total of 6.5 hrs sleep in the last 72hrs and even that was not in a solid block.

Unfortunately I have been covering some night shifts as a staff member is away on leave and I stupidly agreed to covering for her way back before Bella was even born.

For some reason Bella has decided that at 7wks of age she is too grown up to sleep during the day - therefore I can not sleep either. So finishing work at 2:30am and getting home by 3:30am to fall into bed only to get out of it again at 6am when both girls seem to wake up.

Bella seems to have grown one heck of a lot in this past week. We had 3 nights in a row last week where at 5pm (almost on the dot) the poor little thing started screaming for no apparent reason - and continued to scream for 3-4 hours straight each time. No gas, no explosive poop just inconsolable. And suddenly she seems bigger?! So could it have been growing pains?

Me - well not much to report. Darren is in the dog house and I am not yet sure how I am going to deal with him sans violence. LOL Really am not happy with the father of my 7week old offspring - but what can you do?

Very quiet in here so we must all be busy!

Hi ladies

Well, I have FINALLY managed to get onto the computer to drop in and say hi.

Things here are going pretty well. I'm working a few hours a week - just enough to pay for groceries etc - but I'm getting over it very quickly. I know that as a PA, it's meant to cover all sorts of jobs, but one that I have been putting off for a while now is weeding. I don't weed our garden at home (Bondy won't let me!) and don't see why they can't just get someone else (as in the lawn mowing man) to do their gardens.

Oh well, not long to go now til we move and then I won't have to worry about that sort of stuff.

Jess went to the dr today and had her first lot of needles. I got Bondy to come with me since I'm petrified of them and didn't want Jess to scream when it was just me there. She was pretty good. She cried a bit, but Bondy held her and gave her a bottle straight after so she was fine. She slept pretty much all afternoon from when we got back and she's still full of smiles now!

The midwife weighed and measured her - she's now 5.1kg (round down to 5kg as she was still dressed!!) and has grown over 8 cm - not bad considering she's only 8 weeks old! I really don't think there is any hope of her NOT taking after me and being tall ... shame really!!!

Jess is great. She's full of smiles, and we don't think it will be long til she starts laughing - she's got the noises happening!!

Naomi - like Bella, Jess has gone through a stage of just screaming for no apparent reason. We'd try and feed her and she would cry through the bottle too. Very weird. Hope things sort themselves out at home.

Hi All,

After much debate about spending more money on bub, I brought a second hand Amby baby hammock, it arrived this morning so I put it together and waited till Reaghan woke after being in bed with her Dad this morning before he headed to work. Well after she woke and feed, played and feed again, I put her in there awake and 15 minutes later she was asleep, she only winged a little bit no full on crying first time ever unless she was in a swing or the car. She has now been asleep for 30 min and stirred ones and put herself back to sleep.

All I can hope is that she keeps this up tonight too.

I hope everyone else is going well and that all the bubs are healthy and feeding well, and growing well.

Lachlan had his needles on Monday , he was so cute, he had a little cry but after that anytime the gp looked at him, he dropped his bottom lip.
He now weighs 5.9kg naked and is 61.5cm.

that s a gain of 300grams and half a centremetre in a week. Since his needles he has been very unsettled during the day. He also has very loose poos, Im trying to type one handed as he wont sleep if i put him down, thank god for the sling so i can get some stuff done. He is still managing to give big smiles and has a good old giggle.

Another update, Reaghan is doing excellent in her hammock today she went to slepp in less then 5 min when i put her in ther twice today. Last night she slept for 5 hours in it. I really should of done it earlier.

Hope you're all doing well with your little ones?

Things here are going pretty well. We've decided to move to a place called Emu Park which is on the coast between Rockhampton & Yepoon. The big move will be happening in around 8 weeks (2nd week in November) so it's a hectic time all round at the moment. Because the army is relocating us, we have to itemise EVERYTHING so they know how many boxes to get to us, and also for insurance purposes. It's all well and good but itemising everything is a PITA! They want to know the monetary value of all our belongings which in itself tests the memory! Oh well, the list is done and now I'm eager to start boxing up some of the stuff we're not using at the moment so I don't have an absolute fit in coming weeks when things still aren't done!

My parents come up this weekend for a visit which I'm looking forward to. Will be great for them to meet Jess.

Jess is going wonderfully. She's fighting sleep at the moment in the cot next to me, but she shouldn't be too far off as she's been awake since 5am! She's full of smiles and talks now which is awesome to listen to and see. I don't think she's going to be too far off laughing!

She had her needles last week and weighed 5.1 kg and has grown 8 cm in 8 weeks - WOW!!! If she keeps going like this she's going to be a monster!!!
