Kate - Thanks for asking about Coleman. :) The physio thinks Cole is progressing really well, and we've done heaps of blood & urine tests to rule out anything neurological so its definitely just a muscular problem resulting from his torticollis at birth (pulle dmuscle in his neck basically). It means he has weakened muscle tone in his upper body, so his arms & chest, so he didnt roll over properly til he was 7months old! Since then has made heaps of improvements, and is crawling around though not on all fours just yet - should be over the next few weeks though by the looks of things.
We are working on him gaining control of his balance and making his pelvis more stable now, so do different exercises during the day for that. DH is doing his physio at home when its just the two of them since I'm on teaching rounds and Lucy's in kinder a few days a week, so he can really concentrate on him which is great.
Cole's paed. says boys are usually a month or so behind girls developmentally anyway, and since Lucy was a late bloomer that I shouldnt worry too much until he is more than 2 months behind her - so since she didnt walk til about 15months I wont worry too much until he is past 17months.
Brooke - finger foods we do include pasta, muffins, saladas, cheese sticks, fruit sticks, carrots, oven chips, - pretty much anything actually cos he's a massive pig and insists on feeding himself:) Hope you can find something for Maya soon.

Hi girls,
not much going on here today - I have a headache (shouldn't be on here really) so have slept when pup has today. It helped somewhat. i'm off to see the fertility specialist tomorrow and we are staying down in Melb at my aunties.
Brooke, Pup loves mini muffins. I make up a big batch of them and freeze them and then just pop 1 in the microwave for about 15 secs when he wants one. He has also just discovered cruskits which he LOVES. But I also struggle with coming up with different snack foods for him, so that list of suggestions from everyone was really helpful! Thanks!
Deb, loving that new av of yours.
Bec, I reckon I have the cake book that the whale cake you made is in. Man, that candle on the other cake is a WHOPPER! LOL
Kate, the pic in your ticker just blows me away. You'll be a #2 mum in no time!
Ugh, I gotta go. This headache is just not shifting. Time for the big guns (big drugs!)
Hi to Gemma (hey, where is the photo of Amy's cakes?), Caz, Heather...sorry brain gone...can't think anymore!
-
Hay-PMSL at the candle. That was at my mum's house and she didn't have any proper candles, hehehehehe. Good luck with the fertility specialist, sorry you even have to go there :(

Hi all,
just quickly dropping in to catch up on the gossip. Been really busy with making leotards/costumes for Viv's skating competition which is this weekend. Also had to make her a pair of tracky pants with zips all the way up the sides so she can put them on and take them off whilst wearing her rollerskates. I think she thinks everything is available, just ask mum and I'll make them. What a spoilt girl, cause i usually do. I had to do the pants though cause the venue is sooooo cold that you need to wear them and it's so annoying to have to take your skates off all the time just to get changed or to prepare for warm up/competing when you've already got your costume on. Anyway!
Blake's doing really well. Had a bit of a cold with a runny nose and a bit of a cough at night which has had him unsettled. Brooke, I'm thinking of doing CC with him cause he's still not sleeping through - only done it 3 times ever! I think I deserve a break! You've inspired me to bite the bullet and do it although I'll wait until after the weekend cause we've got so much on and DH's been sick as well as Blake and I so I'll wait until we're all a bit better and able to cope with the extended 'up' time at night.
Blake's been really cute playing peek a boo around the corner of doorways etc. He doesn't use a lot of words still, but "Boo" is high on his list right now. It's very cute.
His walking is back to normal now after his big gastro bout. He's loving it! I found a pair of Viv's old little gumboots and put them on him last night and he LOVED them. He felt extra special and stomped around and kept looking at his feet. How cute!
Blake's just come to use the mouse so I guess that's time for me to get off the pc. He's a funny boy, when he thinks I should come and play (not that I'm online that much!) he comes to steal the mouse as if to say "times up mum!"
Take care all.

Hi girls. Meeting with FS went ok. I am starting Clomid from next cycle so we'll see what happens. Still got headache, but it is going thankfully.
Rach, I had no idea that roller skating was such a big thing (competition wise). Lucky you are handy with the sewing machine!!!
Where is everyone??
-
I'm briefly here. We went to Gemma's house today for lunch with Kate, Vanita (and Chris), Bec, Sammi-J and Lara (Iris). I think that's everyone. OMG, I'm sorry if I forgot anyone. We had a lovely lunch and the kids were so good. Gemma and her DH have a lovely house that they've moved to in Pakenham, and Amy's a little cutie who shared her toys beautifully.
Just about to bath my two. Will catch up with you later girls.
Hay, skating is and isn't such a big thing. If you're involved it's quite a full on sport, although nowhere near the league of stuff like tennis, cricket, footy etc. There are state level, national, oceana (sp? sorry it's late) and world championships every year. Viv's only competing for the first time this year, and this is her 3rd comp. She's been skating for just under 2 years.
bath time!

BTW Brooke, since I've been thinking about CC, Blake's slept pretty well the last two nights. He's stirred a couple of time before we go to bed, but between midnight and 6am the last two nights he's slept through. I've been giving him teething medicine both nights at bedtime and also Dimetapp for his nose. I'm wondering if the teeth medicine has helped. Will CC if I need to though. Perhaps its the threat of it happening that's making him sleep! LOL

Yep we had a good time today, with 5 1 yr olds, crawling and walking around!!!!
Hope the clomid works for you Hay. fingers crossed
Hi Brooke
Hi all, sorry I have been MIA, love to you all, gotta go Dion is screaming
-
Hi and just an update for now,
Ohso jealous that a few of you got together today.
We are having our mothers group here today, raining outside,so I have been cleaning like a demon all morning. Made the triple choc brownies, they taste good again! and a cheesecake..yum.
I have been feeling very nauseous and off the past few days, DH and I are at each others throats as well, which doesn't help. He is working like crazy and I am so exhausted all the time, so when we finally get to see each other I tend to vent, and it is causing problems :help: But Al is going well and walking more and more.

Who asked about what is Clomid? Well it is a drug that helps regulate ovulation. I'm not 100% sure that that is the reason i am on it. I think dr wants me to stimulate more eggs to be released because of my age (36) and the likelihood that my eggs are getting on the lower quality side. Hence, the more there are, the better chance of a goodie being amongst them. I guess there is a risk of multiple pg, especially in women who do O anyway, but I'll have to wait and see.
We're not even sure that this is the answer for me anyway.
But it looks like I'll have to give BFing away 100% as I read the pamphlet last night in the tab box and it said not to take clomid if you are pg or breastfeeding. Oh well.....as I said in another thread, I am 95% ready to give it up anyway, mainly because Pup is biting at almost every feed now. Little bugger!
We have just come inside after getting some cows and calves. Pup was in his BabyBjorn carrier and sat on the bike (4 wheeler) with me. He loves it! I had to jump off, chase a claf and grab it so it wouldn't run away - no mean feat with a 9kg baby strapped to your front. DH thought it looked so cute and neither of us had a camera. It looked like Pup was holding the calf himself!!
-
OK littlies in bed, time to try catch up
Hay, Sorry you have to give up bf to go on the clomid, but you made it the longest out of us all...... Ooooh multiples, need a hand ????? LOL at chasing the calf, got a very vivid picture, and am giggling over it. Wow you are about the same age as me ( old tart) LOL
Brooke, sorry Maya had a bad arvo, hopefully tonight is better, gosh you are a young chicky arent you.... LOL Try not to feel to guilty about the demazin, Dion has had it more nights than he hasnt.:crying: it seems to assist his chest, so has been an ongoing "drugging" of the baby i must admit I try not to give him anything else, but when very distressed I do panadol. We have more luck getting Dion to go to sleep in his own cot, than in bed with us, as it seems he recognises it as sleep place,
Kate great to see you, you are looking really good, and despite everything you are looking "blooming" and wonderful. How is Kelseys poo's going?? is the pedialyte/ gastrolite helping?? We used to give 1 yakuit a day when the yucky poo's went on for an extended time ( the twins are lactose intolerant)
Rachel, hope you enjoyed your day with your mum and dad ( and the 100yr old house ) and the running around wasnt too stressful. Wish Viv luck for tomorrow.
Bec, loved the whale cake, and laughed at the big white black out candle, very cute. Loove Jonah's hair wish Dion would get on with growing some.
Caz, good to hear that the physio is helping, he'll be up and about before you sneeze, it must be hard work doing exercises on top of everything else.
We use our own version of CC. It used to worry me, but with the twins, sometimes you just had no choice but to have one cry, and same with Rianna and Dion, Its just not humanly possible to get there to them all the time KWIM> I just have reminded myself that a babies cry is its way of speaking, and you dont always need to talk straight away back........
Dion wore a little shirt with stripes and writing on it and the jeans with the faded patches and a pair of sneakers today the his nana's bday lunhc, and looked sooo cute and grown up, I think it is now my fav outfit LOL
-
I know, I know...I'm an old fart!!! I think I'm the oldest in here????????
-
Not by much ( I will be 35 in Feb)
-
omg 36 in april! Do I win something? Or is it still u Hay?
-
just quickly, I haven't been getting the emails to say that there are responses in this thread again, so I'm just going to try and read up now, I'll be back shortly with some responses....
Hope you are all well xxoo
-
Nup, I think I'm the winner on the age stakes. I am 36 NOW. I'll be 37 at the end of Feb next year. Gulp!
-
OK you win. And have to say I'm impressed, how cool you can catch a cow with a baby attached...that is the best.
-
Ok Hay, you win, I bow to you wonder god of ageism.........
Well Dion threw up last night after his bath a few times, but then seemed to settle. We checked on him at 11 and he was OK. he woke this morning, I went to get him, and he was covered in vomit, the whole bed, the floor, some of it dried ( ewww) I let him have some cordial in a bottle and a piece of dry toast, which he threw straight back up, so we've just had a shower together, god Rachel i hope it doesnt go on as long as it did with Blake, that must have been terrible, Im upset enough now, and its only been 12 hrs, ohhh .
Have a good day all ( I have a feeling mines not going to be fabulous, LOL)
-
Ohhhh poor Dion. I was ill last week and felt like death. And I wasn't vomiting. Hope he gets better ASAP.
-
Oh no, poor Dion and poor you for having to clean up. I hope he feels better soon Vanita.
