hello all
well we had a great holiday both girls were great on the plane, Charlotte slept on the way up going to Queensland. We did so much while we were there we went to Australia zoo, underwater world, Noosa, go-karting, shopping and went to the beach a few times, Charlotte put her feet into the ocean, I already miss the Queensland weather, got back into melb and it was cold.
Cassie- i brought a baba sling while i was in QLD thanks anyway.
Em- i hope things are going well for you now.
Where is bubs?
Madison is 2 today she has grown so much.
I hope everyone is doing well.
-
happy birthday little madison kelly hope your daughter had a great day and it sounds like you had a wonderful hoilday
-
Gee it's so quiet in here. Hope everyone is well.
Not much happening with me. Struggling to get Cooper to sleep properly today – so that's frustrating me a bit. :boohoo:
Still waiting on him to roll over again. But we're getting lots and lots of laughs which is great. And he's still sleeping pretty well at night – waking anytime between 4-6am.
Chantal – How is Zac going with the Zantac? Hope you had a great birthday.
Kelly – Glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Queensland. It's lovely up here today – sunny and about 30 degrees!
Happy 2nd birthday to Madison!
-
hi all
fee- i wish i was back up there i love the warm weather and i love it that you can go to the beach at 9am and it is warm enough to go swimming.
Charlotte laughed for the first time today (its a bit late but oh well) it is so cute. She is such a happy baby.
well i must be off i am finally sitting down to eat my dinner as both girls are in bed.
-
the parenting expo was great - thought we would only be there for 2 hours - there for over 4 and we only left as zac started to get "funny" he did an explosive nappy (and i mean explosive) he wouldnt settle and saturday and sunday he slept! he only had a few five minute feeds but slept the rest of the time and if he was awake for more the 1/2 an hour he looked exhusted. he made up for it today. he feed from 2.30 til 4.30 the 7.30 till 8.00. and he has been feeding all afternoon. i feel so sore at the moment.
fee - not sure if the zantac is working yet - he is still sometimes crying when he puks but not as bad. he hates the taste of it but. had a great b'day - dh cooked aroast dinner.
went to the mental health team today - have been told i am suffering from depression i am not on medication but i am getting more help to look after zac and sister is coming tomorrow to help out

Hi everyone!!
Sorry I haven't been around for a few weeks. I've just been so busy lately that even sitting down for a few minutes is a luxury. I'm even missing out on my Mother's Groups which I'm not happy about. My Oma has meant to have gone into hospital on Tuesday for another skin cancer operation but they cancelled it as her leg is all swollen and the site where the cancer is is infected. So Mum and I have been running around for appointments here there and everywhere and she's still not it. She's now having it out on the 24th of November as that's the earliest they can get her in again. Talk about ****ty hospital system!!!
Danielle is doing really well. She's about the 7 kilo mark now. She's such a happy baby. Thank god otherwise I wouldn't been able to cope with her taking her everywhere. She's rolling over quite regularly from tummy to back and almost has back to tummy. She gets 3/4 of the way and rolls back onto her back. She just needs to flick her shoulders and she would do it. Her tummy time is excellent now. She used to hate it but now she loves it. She's so strong! She's also become a right little babble box. If someones talking to me or in a group she'll start talking to them by gooing and garring and arring. It's so cute. I have her on my lap at the hospital on Monday with her legs thru the side of the side and resting on the arm rest and she was sitting there talking to this man and on Saturday my aunty was talking to my uncle, Ken and me and she was sitting there talking to her. She's growing up so fast! I love her to death!
I've started the Tony Ferguson Program a week ago - I don't know if you have it over there - but I lost 2 kilos in the first week which is normal for me so I've almost lost 5 kilos in total. I can definately feel it and starting to have a bit of a spring in my step IYKWIM. I'm so proud of myself that I can actually run on the treadmill! I can do a 20 min cross trainer, 6 minute run and a 20 minute walk. Everytime my runs getting longer - started out only being a minute. I'm working up to a 20 minute run - every day it gets closer.
I found out on Saturday that my SIL is pregnant. I really shoudn't be saying anything but I can't help it!! I have to tell someone!! She's only 6 weeks along but I'm so happy for her. It's almost taken her a year since her MC. It's due on the 7/7 so Danielle will be just a year old which is fine when they grow up they can play together. So many babies!! There's me, one last August, 2 last September, 3 due in January and now July!!
I better run - lots to do this morning and we've got Mother's Group this afternoon which I'm determined to go to. I'll try and keep up again now which everyone. I hope everything is going well.
kmh - thanks for your message last night and I hope you had a really great holiday.
-
Well today is 1 year since I got my BFP!!! Wow it's gone so fast.
Cooper is doing pretty well. Still weird sometimes with his night sleeping. For a while he was sleeping through until around 5.00 am but for the past 3 nights he has woken at 1.00 am for a feed! Day sleeps are okay … there are good and bad days.
He still hasn't rolled again. He has only done it once (tummy to back). As for back to tummy – still only rolling to his side. He does that a lot though.
The other day he FINALLY discovered his feet and grabbed onto them! Wonder how long it will take for them to get into his mouth?!
And whenever he's under his play gym he's always grabbing properly and reaching for the toys. He's growing up so fast!
We weighed him the other day and he is 7.3 kgs and 64 cm long. Will have to ring the GP soon to book him in for his 4 month needles. Boohoo.
I have a video of Cooper laughing if you'd like to see it. It's in my Totsite and in the Journal section. I love it when he laughs.
Baiza – Happy birthday for the 7th!!!
kmh – How did Madison go at the GP about her ear infection? Hope she is okay.
Bubseykel – I just love that pic of Danielle in your ticker! How adorable! She looks very strong, raising her chest up like that. She sounds like she's going so well with rolling etc. A big girl now!
And great news about your SIL's pregnancy. Very exciting.
-
-
hay ladies!!
Baiza - Happy birthday for the other day - pfft you think 26 is old - try being 30!!!! hope Chloe is ok and Bailee's cold has cleared up
KMH - yaay for the super holdiay! hope Madisons ear infection is ok - is that what it was?
Bubs - Hello stranger!! great ticker picture - and YYEEEEEHHHAAARRRRRR on the weight loss - well done young lady!
Chantal - I hope you're doing well - fingers crossed that the Zantac is working for Zac
oh Fee that video is soooo funny I almost wet my pants, I"ve got tears in my eyes!!! he is so cute!! so weird to see a live Fee too! used to only seeing stills - you are real afterall!
Well Charlie has a photo shoot today - so naturally he has scratched the sh*t out of his face!! 16 week needles tomorrow - I am so tense already I HATE them - mum is going to take him in though whilst I shut my eyes and bang my ears with my fists......
Charlie is so close to rolling over it's scary, I don't think I want him to do it - because then he'll start rolling around the house. He's laughing heaps - he's such a happy baby he loves meeting new people and staring at them until they smile at him and then he smiles back, goes all coy and hides his face in my shoulder or chest! so funny
I'm feeling a bit better - have been taking all my vitamins plus my zinc so that has helped a bit with the depression - I think I've mastered it though, as long as I don't let myself get too tired, I drink lots of water and take my vitamins then I'm alright - if I forget one of those and I get teary before I go to bed then I know I have to get back onto it right away.
well must dash - have to find some new clothes for Charlie to wear to have his photo taken - yes that's right he did an explosive poo - hasn't done one like that for ages - just had to be toda and all over his good clothes..... little horror!
Em!
oh ps: Charlie is about 67cm long and weighs about 9 kilos now........ when will he stop???? surely he must plataeu soon???? right??????
-
Cooper just laughed all on his own! He's batting at toys on his play gym. Usually I have to make him laugh.
Fraser – Charlie is soooo big! People are always saying Cooper is a big boy (he is a fair bit bigger than some babies we know who are older) but compared to Charlie he is not that big!
I love when they do that coy thing and bury their head in your shoulder. It's so cute! Cooper often does it when I take him to the mirror and show him our reflections. He gets this big grin and then goes all coy.
Good luck with Charlie's needles!
Mads – Great to hear Freya is doing well with self-settling. Sounds wonderful for you!!! Cooper still has terrible moments with his day sleeping and then other times he's great. Go figure!
-
hey all
well charlotte did the most cute laugh today i was blowing bubbles for Madison and then i let her have a turn and the Madison would laugh so Charlotte would laughed heaps it was sooooooooo cute we got it on video too.
Bubs- you have been so busy i hope things heal up with your oma really soon, i miss my oma all the time.
em- wow charlie is so big, i think charlotte would way about 6 she is so little still i brought her some new clothes today and they are 0-3 months size she has only just gone into this size, she wore her first pair of geans today yeah.
fee- that is such a cute video of cooper.
Mads- yay for Freya self settling, Charlotte has been doing this as well, i still like giving her cuddles sometimes i know it is bad but i love it.
Madison did have an ear infection, but she is on meds now and she is getting better.
-
Cooper is very vocal these days! It's so much fun. His latest thing is squealing. Also he can laugh on his own now. I caught him the other day laughing under his play gym and laughing at himself in the mirror. It's also quite easy to make him laugh.
The past week he has still been waking for a feed at night around 1.00 am and then often 4-5 am. So I'm feeling a bit tired lately! I wish he would sleep through again.
kmh - How's Madison's ear infection? All cleared up?
Mads - That's great Freya got herself to sleep! We've been quite lucky with Cooper and he has self-settled from Day 1. Of course there have been occasions where he needs a cuddle or feed to get to sleep but 90% of the time he goes to sleep on his own. It's great isn't it? I hope it continues for you Mads.
-
hi all
mads- yay for freya for going to sleep by herself, what a cleaver girl. you are so lucky i wish charlotte would do that.
fee- i love it when they laugh charlotte has just discovered that she can laugh as well, i love it. madisons ear is clearing up. But today she does not want to go down to sleep, i don't know why when she is so tired.
not much to report on here Charlotte is going well, she is starting laugh more.
Hope everyone had a great weekend
-
hiya Dudettes!
Mads - I haven't tried cod liver oil - but I am taking Omega 3 fish oil - which is apparently supposed to help - although I have heard it gives baby bad wind - which could have been the reason Charlie was a bit colicy in the early days! Yaay for Freya self settling - there is a certain feeling of pride and satisfaction when your baby self settles - which disapears in a flash when they refuse to do it again!!
Fee - Charlie is squealing heaps too - he closes his eyes and screws his face up and squeals as loud as he can and then opens his eyes to see who was watching - and if you weren't watching he'll do it again until you do!
Kelly - cute ticker pic!! I hope Madisons ear infection has cleared up - poor little poppet!
Charlie had a little photo shoot the other day and ohmigod what a flirt!!! he turned it on for the photographer, she did some shots of me holding him and him looking over my shoulder - well - he cracked it when I picked him up he was so much more interested in the photographer lady who was paying him heaps of attention - didn't want to talk to boring old mummy!
He loves Simon - he just starts laughing at him as soon as he walks in the door of an evening - I think it might be giving poor Simon a complex though! He doesn't have to do anything just look at Charlie and he laughs his head off - very funny.
Anyway I am determined to clean the house up today - I have an Initmo party on Saturday so if I start cleaning today it might be done by Saturday arvo!
Hope everyone has a good week!
Em
-

Hi girls
Haven't been on for awhile been too busy. We are renovating a house in Sorrento and have just started this week and have been down twice already in the last week. Dylan has been pretty good but cracked on the way home from there on Sunday (one and a half hour drive) so I had to sit in the back with him the whole way home. Poor DH must have felt like a chauffeur.
Today has been terrible he has just cried and cried most of the day. I have been crying too. DH stayed hom from his one day of work a week to be with us and help which was good as I was not coping. I do not know what was wrong with him. This is how our day went:
3am Feed straight back to sleep
6.50am Feed straight back to sleep
8am Awake and comes into bed with us until 9am
9-9.10 Feed didn't want much
9.10 Read story, get dressed, change nappy, Play
9.30 Cry
9.45 Feed again and had a long feed
10.30 Tried to put to bed
11.45 Still up and crying tried wrapping, dummy, rubbing tummy, stroking head and forehead, picked up and rocked, patted bottom, put back down, picked up, etc
12pm DH takes over, changes nappy, offers bottle of formula takes 20ml, cries
1.30 Goes down after I wrap and rock in my arms.
1.50 Awake, crying
2pm I go out and leave him with DH so we can get some lunch
2.15 Back and DH giving him the rest of the formula takes about 180ml
2.30 Play, squealing, smiling, happy
2.45 Asleep and in bed after being rocked.
3.53 Still asleep.
Well that was my day so far and in between all that I have had a nervous breakdown and almost called my mum, Tweddle and Queen Eliz mother and baby centres as I think he has a sleep problem. DH thiks he may have a cold as his nose is snotty.
Anyway I feel a bit better now but feel like I could lose it again. Have big stresses with our cats as they hate each other and keep fighting (indoor cats, small two bedroom upstairs flat). Have to give one of them away one I have had for 6 and a half years and I contacted the RSPCA who told me that they get vet checked and if they don't pass they are put down within 48hours and if they pass they are put up for adoption and if not adopted by 28 days they are put down. So I just don't know what to do as no one I know wants her either. I feel so sad about it all.
Anyway that is all I have to say.
Will catch up on personals soon.
PS Fee Love the videos especially the one of Cooper laughing soooo cute I have tried doing that to Dylan buhe just smiles and looks at me.
-
After Cooper waking up at 1.00 am for a week or so he finally slept through again on Monday night – until 5.00 am. But last night (or should I say this morning) he woke at 3.00 am. Not too bad I guess. He is a surprise each night! I never know when he will wake.
Cooper also rolled over for the second time… it was 2 weeks since he first did it! I managed to get some cool photos as he did it so slowly.

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2/Fee78/DSCN4611.jpg
And after the event... http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2/Fee78/DSCN4612.jpg
I'm hoping Cooper will be good today. Yesterday he would not feed … breast refusal of some sort. I was starting to panic! I guess he won't fade away in a hurry though.
Cooper is very vocal these days with lots of high pitched squeals and giggles. So cute. He often laughs at me too – especially when I sing to him. He seems to like "Incy Wincy Spider"!
Fraser – Oh Charlie looks so cute in your ticker! He sounds like a fun little boy with all the squeals and laughter!
Mads – It's hot here too and it can get yucky Bfing. I have been putting the a/c on. Cooper doesn't have a lot of hair so I can't comment on the sweaty smell thing. Strange.
Hahaha so she's dribbling heaps?! Cooper isn't doing that yet. I remember his cousin was at the same age though. Maybe Cooper will never be a big dribbler. We do use a lot of bibs though because he is a messy eater!
So you've had issues with fussy feeding too? I also wondered if AF was on the way.
chantal25 – Sounds like Zac is doing well. I'm so happy to hear it!
Cassie – Sorry to hear you had such a bad day with Dylan. I hope he is better for you today. And how sad about your cats. I hope you can come up with a solution.
-
hi all
it is a yuk day here in melb, its been raining for ages, day to stay at home and do nothing.
Cassie- you poor thing i hope Dylan settles for you soon, i think they all have days like that, it makes me dought my self sometimes. I hope you settle out your cats soon.
Fee- i love the pics of cooper he is a big boy, Charlotte looks so tiny compaired to the rest of the group. I get both of my girls weighed next monday, i carn;t wait to see what they weigh.
Charlotte has been self settleing a fair bit this wek which is great, she is also staying up for about an hour and a half between sleeps, and she has also been sleeping for longer peroids of times during the day.
well i must be off, Madison wants to play.
-
It's been hailing here today! I heard Melbourne got hail too. Sounds cold down there. Apparently there's even snow around parts of Vic.
It's 30 here today and we just had a big storm.
-
oh i love summer storms, When we were up there Tim really wanted a storm, but we never got one, it only rained the day we were leaving, yes it is so cold in melb today i have the heater on and its been raining on and off all day and we have had hail too.
-
mads- wow freya is a cleaver girl Madison wasn't rolling from her back to her tummy till she was nearly 6 months, and Charlotte hasn't rolled yet, sometimes she looks like she will roll from her tummy to her back but dose not get there.
Well i have been so tired latley so i am off to the doctors to see whats wrong, I had a dream/thought i was pregnant (god i hope not). Will let you all know how i get on..
-
Mads - Wow Freya is a clever girl! I'm not sure when Cooper will roll from back to tummy. He can do back to side but that's it. As for the easier one of tummy to back - as I mentioned above he's only done it twice in 2 weeks!
kmh - Hope everything is okay and you get some answers from the doctor.
-
i just went to the doctors and have had some bloods taken to see why i am so tired, will find out on monday, hpefully it won't be nothing.
i am going christmas shopping today to get madison and Charlotte something, i have no idea.
-
Hey chicks!
yes ladies it snowed in Hobart the other day, well it was more like slushie stuff but it poured down - then today it was 22 degrees and super sunny - so nutso!!
I am very proud of myself - my mothers group wasn't clicking so well so instead of meeting in a park like we normally do I had them all around here for afternoon tea! they stayed for three and half hours and we talked heaps and heaps - I feel so much better about it all - I think we were all a bit nervous - If only I had known sooner all it would take was some cupcakes and badly made plunger coffee!!
Kelly - I hope everthing went ok at the Drs and your fine.
Mads - thats so cool about Freya! what a clever girl. Charlie can roll onto his side but he gets stuck on his shoulder - girls are so much smarter!
Chantal - I hope Zac is still going well on the Zantac - fingers crossed it's working a treat
Cassie - whoa what a big day! you poor thing, line up the vodka shots I say! Charlie had a couple of days like that this week - it could be the crazy weather (in my case it was the entire cake I ate on Sunday...... oops....)
Fee - could Cooper be any better looking? I don't think so! he's such a button - good on him for the rollovers!
Well I am feeling super at the moment - Charlie had been really good and when he hasn't been I have coped so much better than I used to - I think my hormones might have returned to normal or something I don't know - but each week I just get better and better!
Charlie has started to wrap his arm around my neck and kiss my face when I get him out of his cot now - well he opens his mouth and pushes it against my cheek - but there's no suction or tongue, which he normally does if you get too close when he's hungry (he didn't get that big by not taking advantage of every feeding oppurtunity!) so I have called them kisses! it's funny because sometimes he goes 'aaaahhhhh' in a soft way whilst he does it! so cute!
anyway must go - there is a block of snack chocolate with my name on it in the kitchen, seriously, I had to write my name on it to make sure DH didn't eat it......
have a good weekend!
ps: I have put some new photos of Charlie on my website if you want a gander!
Em
-
Fraser- Charli is sooooooooo cute, i love your pics he is a big boy My charlotte would look so small next to him. You make me laugh, with the chocolate. Glad to see that your mothers group is working out, we go to each others houses, and we have been going for nearly 2 years.
hope everyone is having a great weekend
-
Well it's funny I said the other day that I wasn't sure when Cooper would roll back to tummy… he has done it! Well I assume so. I didn't see it! I had put him to bed around lunch time yesterday and he was grizzling on and off. After a while I went to check on him and found him sideways in his cot and on his tummy!!! OMG! I was so excited … and also glad I checked on him as he appeared to be stuck!
I am thinking that he probably got a foot on the side of the cot bars which might have helped him flip over. Although he does look like he's getting the hang of it as yesterday morning when he was on his play mat he rolled to his side (like he has been doing for a while now) but his top leg was coming right over and nearly touching the ground.
I also found him in a funny position yesterday – he had done a 180 degree turn. He was completely facing the other end of his cot. I wonder if he can do a 360! He often does 90 degree turns.
kmh – I hope your test results come back fine tomorrow. Good luck.
Fraser – That's great you had the mother's group at your house and it went well. The mother's groups I go to are always at someone's house. I had at look at your website. I love the tummy time pic! Oh and the "coy" one! So cute. I've got to stop taking photos of Cooper. I took about 400 pics in October!!! Insane.

Hi girls
Dylan has been asleep for over two hours wow what a champ. We are off to our nephew's first birthday party this arvo which should be fun if Dylan wakes up that is. The other day with my unsettled baby just got worse it took us 3 hours to get him to sleep that night and the reason why was cos he was getting a cold just as I suspected poor little mite. Went to an open day yesterday at a beautiful Steiner school in the bush with my Dfriend and her DH and just loved it would love to send Dylan there but we live over an hour away and it will probably be too expensive for us, sigh! Have tried to get Dylan into sleep school but having trouble getting through to them, our MCHN suggested it. Dylan had his four month appointment on his four month birthday and he weighs in at 6kg, 63cm long and 42cm head. He is below average for wwight and average for height and head. But the maternal nurse is not that worried but has asked me to bring him back at 6 months to check. She also gave me heaps of info about starting solids and I can't wait til he is eating I think it will be a lot of fun and mess LOL.
Fee Love the photos of Cooper rolling I tried to take photos of Dylan rolling but just got the before and after shots he looks so surprised when he does it. Yay for Cooper rolling from back to front.
Fraser Also love your new photos of Charlie he is so cute.
Anyway can hear little man waking.
Have a great day all.
-
hi all
i have such a busy day today, Charlotte has a check up at the hospital at 1pm for her tounge to make sure it has healed, then i am going to mothers group then off to the health centre at 3:15 to have Madison and charlotte both weighed and the to the Doctors at 4:30 and then Charlotte has needles tonight at 6pm.
Fee- wow 400 pics, my camera is broken at the moment so we are going to go and get a new one sometime this week, i feel lost without it at the moment, so i have to get my video recorder out to film both girls.
Cassie- yay for Dylan sleeping lots yesterday, have you rang Queen Elizabeth, they are great i took Madison there to help with her sleeping.
I hope everyone had a great weekend
-
Just quickly i got Charlotte weighed yesterday and she now weighs in at 5.760 kg's and is 60cms long. Still so tiny but i can see her getting so big. I also got madison weighed and wow she weighs in at 13.850 kilos and 91.5cms she is my big girl.

Cooper has been acting strangely lately! On Sunday I went to a baby shower. Two of my friends came in the car too. Cooper screamed the whole car trip to the baby shower. I even had to pull over to check on him as I had never heard him scream like that. Once at the party he was a little grizzly – probably more than normal? I didn't expect him to sleep. It's always hard when we're out. But after a while I guess he just got so worn out. We moved inside to the couch and Cooper just fell asleep sitting up on my lap! After he woke I tried to feed him but he kept screaming. I think it was way too loud as there were about 10 women in the lounge room. I took him upstairs where it was quiet and he fed fine. On the car trip home he screamed again. I was wondering if it was because one of my friends was in the backseat with him?
Then yesterday we went to visit a friend and her baby. Cooper cried and screamed most of the time there! He wouldn't play on the play mat. And when I tried to feed him he kept screaming. I think because my friend's baby was squealing so much, it was scaring Cooper. In the end I just had to take him home. He napped in the car and once home he fed peacefully for 25 minutes! Then after that he had a 3 hour nap – very unlike him!
This morning he is being fussy and doing the whole breast refusal thing. I've tried to feed him at 7.00 am and 7.45 am and he would suck for 30 seconds or so and then cry and cry. So I've put him back to bed.
Sounds like all the bubbas are growing nicely. Cooper is going to have his 4 month needles and weigh in this Friday. I'm wondering if he's getting close to 8 kgs. He breaks my back!!!
We're going to our mother's group today. I hope Cooper behaves. I think he's going through some thing where he won't feed with other people in the room. He's becoming too aware of his surroundings.
Cassie – When are you going to start solids with Dylan?
kmh – How's Charlotte's tongue?
-
Hey girls
Still having sleep issues with Dylan the loast four nights it has taken me nearly 2 hours to settle each time.
KMH I have called Queen Elizabeth and they give you an appointment time to call you back which is next week. I have also called Oconnell which is in Canterbury. I have also been given the number of Simply Settled by my MIL but I am guessing they will cost $$$$ and they come to you which would mean I would have to clean my house LOL!
Fee I was planning to start him on solids at 6 months as the MCHN says that solids at the start don't make much different to their weight anyway. Is that why you are asking? When are you going to start Cooper?
Does anyone want an adult cat or know of anyone who wants an adult cat, she is 6 and a half desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and very friendly. We just can't keep her as our place is too small and she hates our other cat. I am happy to drop her over anywhere in Melbourne. Here is a pic or two:
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...7_01/Lily2.jpg
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...77_01/Lily.jpg
Anyway I have advertised her on two websites so far just don't want to have to take her to RSPCA as she may be put down. Poor Lily.
Byeee.
-
Fee - Charlie has been a bit the same - he cries if I talk too loudly when he's feeding - he bursts into tears when I answer the door holding him and the person at the door sayd hello to him!!! I think they are coming into that age where they start to get a little clingy of Mum and are alot more aware of their surroundings. We had a family lunch last week and my 4 nieces and nephews were in his face the whole time and he just didn't copr becuase he's not used to it. I guess we just have to keep practicing and eventually they will get used to it!
Cassie - sorry about your cat.
Kelly - how did you go at the Drs - did you find out why you are so tired?
Charlie is rolling over! well ok I still need to give his bottom a little push but he does the rest himself - he is so proud of himself when he flicks over onto his tummy - he looks around to see who was watching and then smiles at them!
mothers group today - we're at a park again - there's gale force winds here and I have visions of the pram floating away a la Mary Poppins... might have to weigh it down with something......Charlie will do.....
speak soon

Hi Gorgeous Girls!!!
Sorry that I have been off the air waves but we had to get a new pc…but I can see that I have missed out on heaps …Ive read a couple of pages and my oh my …how our July babies have grown!!!
Jensen is doing great! He is 4 months old today! And Ive just come back from having had his 4month immunization…poor little man!
Cass- just read your posts…what we did with Jensen was put him on a routine…as we had huge sleep issues too….theres a book called “save our sleep’ and I swear by it….as does 6 other Mums in my mothers group…This book and her outine gave us all back our sanity and gave us happy, sleeping babies! Its not easy to do in the beginning…buty it really does work! Hope it all gets a bit better for you and Dylan soon babe! Oh and Im starting Jensen on solids this weekend…in this book she suggests getting them started at 4months…to get them used to eating a little bit and discovering new tastes…plus its meant to help with sleeping! I cant wait to start as all the bubs in my mothers group apparently just love it!
Em- Wow! Charlie is sooooooooo cute! Love the new photos of him! Glad to hear that you’re a bit happier too…bad plunger coffee fixes everything! I hear soggy sangers are a hit too!
Fee- Im having the same noise issues with Jensen too! If he hears a really loud noise especially while hes feeding he will cry too and he dosent like it at all when people talk really loudly around him…like you said I think they are just becoming very aware of whats going on around them…Im sure they will get used to it eventually though.
Ok well Ive got lots of posts to catch up on!
Hugs to all!!!

Cooper was a little angel at the my mother's group yesterday! I was so surprised. How strange that he was all weird the day before and that was just visiting one friend and one baby. Yesterday there were 3 other babies and a toddler!
He slept until 3.00 am this morning so I fed him then. He then woke at 6.00 am but fed for 1 minute and then chucked a hissy fit. He is doing this a bit lately with that morning feed. So I just put him straight back to bed because he had been yawning since I got him up anyway. He slept until 8.30 am and then had a better feed. After that feed and play time he then had a long nap until midday. He is sleeping so well during the day at the moment.
Cassie – I was just asking about solids because a lot of people I know have started their babies on solids at 4 months. And just after reading your comments about the MCHN giving you brochures about it. I plan on waiting until Cooper is 6 months. Was just curious as to what you (and everyone else) will be doing.
Fraser – Yay for Charlie rolling over!!! Hope your mother's group was good.
Boisey – So you're starting Jensen on solids early? Let us know how you go! I wonder if it will help Jensen sleep better at night. Apparently sometimes it helps but not always! Anyway I'm sure it will be heaps of fun!

Hi girls
Fee I think the MCHN gave me the brochures because they don't see him again until 8 months and they should be on solids by then. I am waiting til 6 months also as I don't believe he needs solids until then.
Cyn Thanks for your words I will have to have a look for that book and give it a go. It will take me weeks if not months to get into sleep school so will have to try another remedy.
Em Yeah I am sorry about Lily too and in fact I feel so so sad about it but I am just going to be patient and I am sure someone will want her I refuse to 'surrender' her to the RSPCA only for her to be put down.
I had some other things to say but now too tired byeee.

ohmigod - it has almost been a year since I found out I was pg.... so strange.... I had a radox bath last night - something I did everynight when I was pg because of my aching back - I haven't used it since Charlie was born because I was worried it would make my nipples taste funny (der I know) - gosh it bought back memories - the smell and the hot bath - so nostalgic - seems so long ago and strangely I miss it!
Hiya Cyn - hope Jensen is ok after his needles - Charlie was fine after his but I was made to leave the room and put my head between my knees because I went all pale and dizzy!
Cassie - pets are hard now - I find it difficult to find time to walk the dog and I know she's sad I feel so guilty - DH sometimes runs her around the block at night - I think she's lonely - but I just forget about her - I feel so so mean
Mads - it's frustrating when all your good work gets chucked out the window because of something out of your control, like the heat or a cold. Luckily the pram didn't fly away - we walked into town to meet DH after work and the wind was blowing into the pram - Charlie hates the wind in his face - he shouts at it - same with the sun!
Fee - I'm finding with Charlie in the mornings he cracks it when I try to feed him on the right hand side but is fine with the left hand side..??!!??! I don't know if it's the way I hold him or he's sore or whatever but if it doesn't change soon I'm going to be permanently lopsided!
on my own tonight DH has work xmas drinks - free ones..... we wont see him before the 3am feed me thinks...... he's going to struggle getting Charlie up at 6.30am though.... oh well.... his problem......

Hi Girls,
Sorry I haven't been around much again. Things are quite hectic around here. Oma's in hospital today having her skin cancer cut out. Mum said she's in there now. I hope everything goes well. I won't be able to see her until Monday as we are so busy this weekend.
Dnaielle is rolling from her back to her tummy too. She's quite a wriggler. The other day I put her in her cot for a sleep and a few minutes later I heard her really screaming. I went in there and she had rolled onto her tummy but had her arm stuck under her and it was all blue. After I calmed her down I put her on her play mat and she was rolling again. But she only rolled onto her right arm. She also loved kicking things and pushing off things with her feet. I've found if I have a toy on the front of the pram where her feet are, she's so much happier when we go shopping. She does the spins in the cot too. She does 90 degree ones quite regularly with her legs hanging out the sides but if I don't hear her wake up she does 180's in there. So funny. She hates being still - she's always on the go - very much like her dad. She's such a good girl - goes to sleep all by herself and is always happy to play by herself for a while if I need to do something. I've also started her on solids as she wasn't taking her milk anymore. She loves her food - that she takes after me. At her 4 month checkup she was 7.2kg and 64cm long. Still in the 75th percentile. One big girl!
I've lost about 8 kilos since leaving hospital now. I'm down to 77.6 kilos now so we are getting there slowly. I've got 11.4 kilos to go until I've reached my first goal then we'll see if we'll go further. I make myself very busy during the days with cleaning the house constantly, mowing the lawns, blower vacing the outside, going to the gym, Christmas shopping (thank god I've only got 3 people left to shop for!!) and popping in to see Ken at work. He loves it when we see him during the day. He's such a good dad - he loves her to bits.
I better go - half way mowing the lawn, polished the car once - second coat now needed, load of washing almost finished and I need to clean the house. You ask why so much today? Well tomorrow I have softball in the middle of the day and in the evening I have my Christmas work doo with my work and on Sunday we are going for a picnic for a friend's birthday for lunch then we are dropping off Danielle so Ken and I can go to Chris Isaak! So I won't even have time to scratch myself over the weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
