Wow I just cant keep up!!
Em- great news about Tom eating! Exciting and way to go Tom!!
Tracey and Mel - those boys of yours must be so adorable with their little (or maybe big) rolls! Chubby babys are so cute (well all babys are but ykwim).
Jessikah - enjoy your games night. Sounds like fun!
Raels - happy birthday to Lexxen for Sunday and your chocolate vodka sounds divine!
Bec - enjoy your weekend off with Xavier - you deserve the break you are a super mum working full time.
Tracey - great news about your work hours. How perfect. I am going back to work part time in April (5 days per fortnight) and some days I cant wait to get back and others I just cant think of anything worse. But in reality I think it will be a good thing as it will give me a bit of balance and I dont feel like i have that at the moment.
Dani - poor OScar with his poos. I hope he is feeling much better now. Poor babe having to have a Dr do that to him.
Happy 6 month Noah.
Sacha - I had another look at Auties photos and she is adorable. I just love her hair. Charlottes hair is starting to grow and I cant wait until it is a bit longer although I hope she hasnt inherited my curly hair). Its funny as both the boys were born with much more hair that her and at the same age had more as well.
Hello to everyone else and your beautiful babes!
Me - DH is away again but I say that nearly every time I am on here cuase he is never home. But I have felt that I have coped a bit better this time./ I have tried to just take it hour by hour rather than looking too far ahead - I have tried not to think OMG it is still 8 hours until the kids will be in bed for the night or OMG I am so tied and how am I going to face the day (which at times is rather overwhelming LOL) and I have tried to focus on the now and take each moment/hour as it comes and it seems to be helping. Dont get my wrong I still have my moments and I feel so guilty about them but things are OK.
We are trying to work out of we are going to get a nanny for when I am back at work (part time) but I am just not sure. There are pros and cons to having a nanny and pros and cons for childcare. I like the idea of being able to leave the house in the morning and not have to get everyone fed, dressed and into the car for childcare but at least at childcare it is an open environment as in you pretty much know what is going on - you dont in your own home. Does any one have any experience or ideas about nannys. Someone told me it is best to advertise yourself rather that through an agency but I dont know.
Well thats it from me for now - the couch is calling my name!!
Take care everyone
Jem
-
hey all!!
back from my first ocean scuba dive - YAY!! I still feel like I am floating on the ocean tho LOL Avaleigh refused food today.. not sure why, she ate the same mix yesterday but didnt want it today. Didnt bother me cause my last breastfeed was at 6pm!! She had one side and fell asleep.
gotta go.. dinner is here (STARVING) and gotta read over my book for the exam tomorrow
-
Yay on your open water dive V. My DH used to teach scuba diving in QLD (many years ago) and often tells me I should get into it but I just havent got around to doing anything about it yet.
BTW - thanks for the exercises.
-
Oh Jem, you are too kind - thank you. Her hair is actually causing problems now it is getting in her eyes and irritating her but i am loathe to cut it! I bought her two headbands today instead so now she looks like a 70s tennis player or Olivia Newton John in 'Let's Get Physical'. I'm glad you are coping ok with DH being away, I sympathise, even though I don't have the workload you do! I think Autie is just beginning to be affected by her dad's coming and going - she sure has been a ratbag lately. LOL As someone who has worked in childcare for 15 years, I would have to go for a nanny! Not that you don't get great Early Childhood teachers but you just can't get the same one on one attention. Sure, the social interaction is great, but you can get that at a playgroup. I would probably go through an agency if I didn't know someone personally, just because you know they have been properly checked out, and I would also have them come a few times while still there to see if you get a good vibe from them and how your kids respond will give you clues too, if you stay in the background a bit. If you're paranoid (and I probably would be! LOL) you can get those little cameras hidden in things to keep an eye on what's going on for a while. Let us know what you decide.
-
Sacha - I bet Autie looks adorable with her headband on - you will have to take a photo.
Thanks heaps for your advice on nannys/childcare. I am leaning towards going through an agency as well for the reasons you mentioned and thought we could have the person start before I go back to work so I can be at home with everyone to see how she/he fits in with the kids. Nanny SA has just sent me a heaps of info so I am reading through that and will have to make a decision really soon. Worse case scenario if I am not organised in time or we dont find someone by the time I go back to work I know Charlotte will be able to get into childcare (same place as the boys) which we can use as a short term thing until the nanny is sorted. Thanks again
-
Jem when are you going back to work?
V, the dive today sounds just devine. Good luck with your exam tomorrow.
Sara, glad you had a nice little getaway.
Thanks everyone for Charlizes get well wishes. She is still sick, but thankfully she hasn't thrown up for 24 hours now.
-
Mel I am going back to work at the start of April -only 5 days per fortnight - Monday and Tuesday one week and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the floowing week. Are you planning on going back in the near future? I am going back in the hope it gives me a bit of balance in life iykwim.
Oooohhh Survivor has just started - have to run!!
-
Jem - who got voted out in Survivor? I was watching the tennis!
-
On an ad break atm. ABout to go to tribal council. Everyone is saying james is going home but I dont think that is going to happen - will let you know shortly.
I am back - James went - he had no idea and he still had the two immunity idols - he should have used one!
-
Oh what a dope! I knew that would happen - every week i'm like James use the idol!!
If you guys want a laugh, go to the Punching Bag room forum and read the one by Divvy titled "how to embarass your mother". It is the funniest thing i have ever read.
-
Em, just had a look at that post, it's a classic. I would have died if it were me !!!
Jem, I can't believe what an idot that James is. What a tool not using one of the idols, I bet he would be kicking himself now. I have thought about going back to work for the same reasons, but I doubt my work would allow be to go back like that. I guess I won't know until I talk to them about it. I rang last week to talk to them about applying for an extension on my maternity leave, and I still haven't heard back. I guess asking if I could come back a couple of days a week, can't do any harm.
Well, it's just be and the boy tonight. Charlize is staying at my parents tonight as her cousin is up from the country and they adore each other. And DH is on night shift, so my narchos are in the oven, baking away nicely and I'm able to sit down for more than a couple of minutes as Jack is in his jumper, squeeling away merrily.
Hope everyone has a great night. It's our anniversay tomorrow, and I'm being sent shopping to choose a present while DH stays home and helps to install our t.v and speakers. I'm thinking a new watch as my old one, has a cracked face, or maybe a nice ring or a pair of ear-rings, or maybe I could go all three, just jokin I would be divorced before the day in out ;). But looking forward to tomorrow nights dinner at the casino, it's wonderful food, and I can't wait to have a couple of drinks with DH like the good old times.
BTW, how much EBM does everyones bubs drink from a bottle in one hit? Just want to make sure I have enough expressed before our outing. Thanks
Take care all.
-
Ohhh I miss Survivor. We don't get normal channels atm, only austar :(
Em, thanks for the giggle. I personally, would have been mortified - don't think I couldve handled it so calmly. LOL
Cute ticker Mel. How are the studies going? BTW I would go for the jewellery - you can justify a new watch any old time :) Sorry can't help with the EBM, I don't have a life so she never has it! I'm jealous of your dinner, we haven't been out since Autie was born. Maybe it's time to hit up nani and gramps...
Happy 6months Kaetlyn. How'd the solids go?
Has anyone ever been on a good beachy type holiday where babies are welcome and it's really inexpensive? We're thinking of a short 3 day break somewhere so we don't want to pay a lot for airfares or accommodation just for that length of time.
Hope everyone else is doing well, haven't heard from so many people lately.
-
Hey Sacha, it has been quiet in here lately. I remember when we were a pregnancy group, and if you were out for a day, you would have about 3 pages to catch up on, lol. We are going away for 2 nights up the sunshine coast in march at a family resort. Best of all, it only cost us $50. Have you heard of TrendWest before? It's now called Whyndam or something like that. Anyway, they make you sit through some, big selling siminar trying to convience you to buy into it all, but at the end you just say 'no thanks' and you get to choose from a group of free gifts, one being a holiday. All it costs in $50 for admin fees. There is a few conditions but if your pretty flexible with when you can go, it's great. PM if you want their number to ring to attend one of the siminars :).
Thanks about the nice comment about the pic, I love that shot.

Hi all,
Raels, happy Birthday lexxen, wow 9 I bet it seemed so far away when he was born. now he's on the downhill run to teenager!!
Glad to hear things are improving for you at home.
Tracey wow at Zyon, Xavier is about 7.8kg's now. Have you turned his car seat around yet??
Em, Yay tom is eating!! I know what you mean when you just have to share with someone.
Happy 6 months Kaetlyn, how does she like facing forward? Xavier has een trying to sit up in his car seat for a while now. Once they are over the 8kg's is that a good indication they are ok facing forward?
jemima, I haven't got a clue about nanny's but we are enjoying childcare. I guess the good thing is that if Xavier sleeps in I can leave him in his pjs and they will change him for me if I ask, but bit harder to do that with older kids.
Mel, Xavier will happily drink anywhere from 125ml to 200ml. 200 is usually his max and more often he does this at night. at cc I supply them with about 150ml per bottle.
Ah, well there is another weekend gone. We tried Avocado mixed in with the farex this weekend and he seems to be enjoying it, didn't complain anyway. He is gassy though, but I think that's because he is all snotty still and swollowing more air. We will do just the farex mixed with avocado for a few more days then we might try some fruit mixed in with it. Well gotta cut this short, lots to do before I go to bed. This is the worst thing about returning to work that You are constantly organising things. You can't really let anything go until the next day because you get stuck so far behind and you end up busiting your a$$ the next day.
See ya's
-
Thanks Mel. I actually have a friend who used to work for trendwest so i know the deal, but i didn't think of it. we'd actually like to go a bit further afield if we can but i will definitely keep that in mind for sure. you didn't say how your study was going...
-
Just a quick one
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for tomorrow Mel! Enjoy your shopping spree - I am jealous (in a good way LOL)!! Also enjoy your night out - it sounds like it will be wonderful, just what you and Luke need! Sorry cant help with the EBM question - Charlotte hasnt had milk in a bottle yet (I have just been too slack to try) - but I must try her soon JIC she needs some time to get used to it beofre I go back to work. I reckon it is a great idea to see what your work say about going back part time., cant hurt to ask. Would there be anyone you could job share with - that sometimes makes it easier for bosses to say yes to part time and if not it just means you get to spend more time at home with your wonderful babies! Hope the nachos were good - yumbo now I am craving some even though it is bed time.
OMG Sacha - no Survivor that is terrible! I love survivor so I can only imagine the withdrawls you are having LOL!!
Blueflower - how did Kaetlyn go with her solids?
Em - OMG I read that post in the punching bag and boo hoo room. Embarrassing isnt a strong enough word to use for that poor girl!
Hi everyone else.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
take care Jem
-
Hi Ladies.
All this talk of going back to work :(
Aaron and I have decided to scrimp and let me stay off on unpaid leave till july, when my mat leave has to end. I think it will be good for us tobe on a tight budget. We did the grocieries for the next week, going to the shops with a meal plan and everything! Stupid interest rate rises as well :wall: someone should blow banks up!!! LOL at my reference to Kingswood Country, if anyone gets it!!!!
Well we have all the family for dinner tonight, and IL's gave Kaetlyn her high chair as a 1/2 birthday present!! We then sang at 8.29 happy 1/2 b'day to you!!! It was funny.
Her solids went okay. The facial expressions were interesting, I gave her about three tsp's full of rice cereal with some EBM. She was sucking on Aarons hand to help get them down, as I am not sure that she knew what to do with what was in her mouth!! Anything besides a booby that has gone in before has always come straight back out. She looked confused, thinking 'normally thay take things out of my mouth"
Well am off to play with my new photo pragram. Love this new computer!!!
-
Sorry Sacha, the study is going well. A little slow since christmas, but I have just started to pick things back up. I meet with my first client once school holidays are over as she has a couple in school and would prefer to meet kids free. Really looking forward to that. Fingers crossed me get along really really well, she sounds lovely. Where abouts were you looking at going?
Jem, the nachos were devine although I do now feel a little ill. Probably a good thing, so I don't want to finish the rest of the doritos off tomorrow. lol !! I agree as well, I think tomorrow night is definately what we need. I have been meaning to ask you, how is Jesse going with his talking? Charlize is still only saying single words. She has just started over the last couple of weeks to say alot more, but still not really attempting sentences (well english anyway). She can say the f and the s word well lol ;)
Sara, glad the solids seem to be going o.k.
-
Bec,
I am turning his car seat around today!
I start (AGAIN) back at work today! LOL
It's gonna be cruisy, so Im looking forward to it!
Mel, a feed of EBM for Zyon is about 200ml!
If that helps!?
got heaps to do today..... Yes Bec ya gotta be a day ahead when back at work!
-
Hi all,
Just a quick one today as I am in New Zealand. Olivia was an angel on the plane, we had to stop over in Auckland so it was a long day, she only cried about 7:30pm on the plane after her bottle but I got her to sleep ok. NZ is 2 hours ahead so yesterday she was still feeding and sleeping on Melbourne time but now she is on NZ time so that is better for us! She has been an angel, sleeping all through the night and at her day sleeps even though she is in a different place and a different cot! Such a good baby.
Hope you are all great! Must run, Livvie just woke and we are going to the shops before Nan comes to visit!
Luv Lis and Livvie xx
-
Jem, I added a photo of little baby McEnroe as suggested - LOL
-
OMG Sacha - Autie is adorable with her headband! I love it!!
-
Thanks Jem :)
LOL at Charlize's vocabulary Mel! And Happy Anniversary! Hope you get yourself something shiny :) Would like to hear how it goes with your client and how things work - I don't know much about having a doula. We are looking at up around the reef for a holiday or maybe even o/s somewhere if there's a mega bargain and it's not a long plane flight. We really just want to test the waters with travelling with Autie as we did a lot before we had her and would like to continue. Just want to build up the tips and tricks you need to know when you travel with kids IYKWIM.
Have a great time in NZ Lis. Glad to hear Livvie is being so good for you!
Sounds like the solids went quite well for the first time Sara. She might like to suck on the spoon with some on? It's nice that you can stay home a bit longer - what a reward for your scrimping :)
Hope work goes well for you today Tracey.
Today I'm grumpy with a burning back, probably hormones. That's my grizzle. Autie is clawing/belly flopping her way forward instead of backward now and DH is unexpectedly home due to the floods - those are my smilies. Have a happy day everyone.
-
Hey everyone!
Just a quick hello from me. I am now a qualified scuba diver!! The dives yesterday were amazing. We went through caves and under ledges and saw heaps of fish. I also saw a stingray and a huge octopus! I've got these in my tanks at home but it was good to see out in the water :)
Anyway, goitta go to the gym. BBL to read over
-
Hi girls - this is going to be quick while Tom is down on the floor trying to kill his rattle. He has an absolute case of the crazy's today. This morning he refused to drink any more than 20mls of his bottle but woke last night for a feed which he hasnt done in ages. We are having a few sleep problems at the moment in that all he wants to do is roll over and it is super hard to re-settle him for his sleeps. I am thinking about getting one of those Safe T wraps because i tried a sleep positioner and he didnt even last 2 minutes in it! Little bugger..
Sorry no time for personals - Crazy is calling! BBL to do personals xx
-
Back again! T is back down for a sleep - i managed to wedge him into his anti-roll thing and tuck the sheets over super tight. I thought it was exciting when he started to roll - now its a bit of pain in the behind :D.
Happy Anniversary Mel! I was having a look at your photos site the other day and besides having gorgeous kids, your DH is so good looking! Lucky you - enjoy your night! You made me laugh about Charlize's 'special' words - i can bet that they will be part of Tom's vocabualry as well. DH is a builder and is used to saying them at work so he says them at home. I keep saying he will have to stop soon before little ears pick up on them..
Veronica - glad the scuba went well. You are the only person i know that would spend the day out scuba diving and STILL go to the gym the next day! I would be like 'oh well, thats my exercise for the year!'
Sara - we sound very similar at the moment. I have to decided to be super careful with the $$ so i can stay off work a little bit longer. DOnt get me started on interest rates - everytime i watch the news its 'Australians have spent 1billion dollars over xmas so we are going to wack up the interest rates'. I read about a site in the newspaper the other day called savingmum which has lots of little tips for saving money etc. I printed out a weekly meal planner and a shopping list thing so will have to try to stick to it. I am a terrible impulse buyer.. DH was laughing at me because we recently had a ALDI's open up here and i have gone from 'I'll stick to Coles thanks' to 'i might just pop down and see how cheap it is..'.
Becc - are you enjoying work - as hard as it would be to be away from Xavier? I hear you about being organised - i find it hard enough now to think that i will leave something until tomorrow and then actually have to find the time to do it. Hope everything is going well.
We turned Tom's car seat around about a week ago. He is just under the weight but over xmas he just developed a hatred of the car seat - i think because he was in and out of it all the time. My final straw was when he screamed the whole way to Geelong and then same again on the way back. It was really horrible scream until i vomit and choke, so a bit scarey while driving! He seems to really like being turned around - he has a good sticky beak out the window and so far no crying. DH finds it a little off putting because he says Tom stares at him while he is trying to drive - paranoid just a bit??
ok better go - i have a chicken and vegie pie cooking in the oven so better go check it!
-
Em, DH said to say thanks lol :). He is also big on the naughty words, but I guess she will just have to learn that adults can say them, just not kiddies. Glad Tom is behaving much better in the car, now that he is turned around. Is he starting to try and crawl? I found when Charlize did this, she became unsettled in alot of things like sleeping, feeding etc.
I bought a lovely ring today. And even better, it was 1/2 price. I love it. And I also weighed Jack, he is now 9.28kg. PORKER!!!! That's less than 800gm lighter than his bid sister. But she is very petite.
V, congrats on successfully passes the course. I bet it was beautiful under there. Didn't see any sharks? I would love to see one doing its thing, just not too close ;)
Flossie, have a lovely time abroad. Glad Olivia went well on the flight.
Sacha, if you don't mind me asking, what does your DH do? Is he in the airline industry? Just sounds similiar to my DH work wise. I will let you know how my first visit goes with my client. She really seems lovely and I can't wait to meet her and her family. I just hope she likes me.
Can't wait until dinner tonight, I even bought a new top today to wear. Won't show DH until I'm dressed so he has a little wow moment.
Take care all.
-
Hey girls,
I hear that quite a few people are turning their babies seats around. I too, did this a few weeks ago. Avaleigh isnt close to the weight to turn it around but she had been holding and supporting herself for a while now and was always trying to sit up in her seat, so I thought why not!! She loved it but I found a thread on here that recommends not to do it until the baby is a lot older.. I will try and find it again. Pretty much it was a link to a youtubes (or something like that) video that showed what happens to babies in forward facing seats if you have an accident, and its not nice! So I pretty much went out and turned the seat back around...............
Heres a link to the thread... Car seat positioning.... when?
The link to the video in is post 12 i think...
-
I have turned Jack around since we got back from Sydney, since I had to adjust the straps anyhow. He is over the 9kg mark now, but after watching that video I'm thinking about turning him back. Although he might not agree ;). I'm not too worried though, as his seat is still reclined as far back as in the rearward facing mode. It's a turn a tot and can be reclined either way. So he is still laying down, just facing forward. Although, it still definately won't be as safe as rearward facing. Might see what DH says.
-
Avaleigh seat reclines back as well but I still thought it would b e best to have it the other way around. The way I see it, is I am a safe driver but there are a lot of d!ckhe@ds out there (we nearly got hit a few months back) so jason and I thought it would be better to have it back the way it was. Avaleigh didnt seem to mind too much as she was only forward facing for the most, 2 weeks..
I've just spent the afternoon clearing out the spare room that is full of Avaleigh's toys and swing and stuff she doesnt need anymore, so I can put in my dive gear. Now I have got the brave the heat and get it in to the shed. LOL You cant even move in the shed its so full of stuff. Jason's not going to be happy!
Avaleigh's been asleep for 2 hours this afternoon!! That is unheard of at this time of day
-
OK i don't have much time but i am very keen to check out Mel's DH...where's the pic? he he
-
OK found it! Georgeous family all round i say! Have a great night out Mel!!
Em - so glad Tom is eating!!
Sorry, busy busy will pop in tomorrow!!
-
I just witnessed Avaleigh sit up all by herself!! It looked really funny and really awkward. She did it for the first time on Sunday and Jason was looking after her. So UH OH now we've got trouble!!
-
Congratulations on your dive certificate V. And thanks for the heads-up about the carseat video - certainly makes you think twice.
Em can I come to your place for dinner? I love chicken and vege pie! Maybe I should get off my a$$ and make one...or buy one, more like it LOL IMO Aldi has some really really cheap stuff, but I have tried several times to do my grocery shop there and have come away without half the things I wanted. I think it would be good for a once a month stock up but I have too many 'favourites' to do it weekly. Of course, if I was serious about saving money I wouldn't be so fussy.
Jack wow! What was his birth weight Mel? I love that photo of him at 11weeks with the blue towel. And since we're all discussing your DH, he reminds me of mine, though they don't really look alike. DH is a driller on inland oil and gas rigs and the one he is working atm is right in the qld flood zone. He too has a very colourful vocab and it would be an exercise in futility to try and change that so we will just make them a no-go for children thing, same as you. So funny watching him struggle to find alternative words around my mum! LOL Good decision on the ring - what's it like?
I have had a different baby today! After days of 20min, go-down-screaming, wake up screaming naps, today she has had nearly 3 hours all up and was in bed asleep by 6.10! And been so much happier in between! I think the whole crawling thing really does affect them for a bit. Fingers crossed it's all over now! I'm going to start putting soft lumps in her solids over the next week and see how she goes. So far she has never spit even one mouthful out and even sucks it back in if some falls out! LOL
Gotta go, DH has made dinner - I'm so spoilt when he's at home :)
-
LOL at everyone checking out mels hubby!!!
I am now scared about Kaetlyns car seat, as she is not near the weight, but she was just so damn unhappy looking at the roof at sky. She is a happy little traveller now. I dont think I will check out the video, as like all things with babies, I will become paraniod!
Kaetlyn just did her first big baby poop, and man did it stink!! I saved it especially to show it to aaron! He was pleased, and laughed and said, and that was only after afout 5 teasponns of rice cereal! Not looking forward to the veges!!
I have two questions if anyone can answer them
1. I am using MCN and was wondering what do I do with the poo's now, cause I clearly can't just put them in the washing machine
and
2. What do people do for babys baths now? Kaetlyn is way too big for baby bath, has outgrown her bath seat as she just sits and roll out of it. Aaron went in the bath with her tonight, lol but with the two of them it was a bit squishy (especially in him Ahm regions- and we still need them for another couple of years!). Any suggegstions would be great.
THanks everyone and have a good night
-
Sara, how about a very shallow normal bath that she can lie down in until she is sitting easily without help? You'd have to watch if she turned on her tummy of course. We have a molded very large bath bath that Autie can both lie back in or sit up in the other end which should be good for quite some time yet but I guess you don't want to outlay for another baby bath! Isn't there bath seats that are completely enclosed with a ring? Someone else might know...
-
Hi all,
Sara, sounds like your solids are off to a good start. I can imagine the funny faces. How cute on the happy half birthday song. I think if I sing that at 2.50 on Xaviers half birthday my co-workers will look at me a bit strange lol. eing tight now means that when you do go back to work it will make it easier to save for the next bub.
Xavier sometimes has a bath where i just support his shoulders, but this i hard on my back. most of the time it is a bath or shower with one of us. showers are easy just have everything ready before hand.
Flos, it's great liv adjusted to the time difference so quickly. I heard about a bub recently that normally wakes every morning at 4am, and they went to singapore and the bub was waking at 2am which was the equivalent to sydney's 4am, and that bub was ready and rearing for the day!!
sacha, autum is one very cute little girl, love the head band.
Em, I find the Aldi nappies to be very good for little boys. and they are a great price. the wipes are also good as they aren't as thick as huggies. We like to buy their dog food too as it's pretty good quality for the price they charge about half the price of Pal. Yep I am enjoying work. I guess I do miss xavier but I don't think about it much. But i do leave a few miniutes early every day and I don't like Nathan to pick him up without me.
 xavier isn't turned around yet and already stares at nathan. He can only just see him!
mel, we have a turn a tot too, fantstic aren't they. i thought you had to have it in the upright position once you turned them around, I didn't think you were allowed to have it reclined in front facing. I lso thought that the reason behind waiting until they were older was for size/weight reasons as the bub will move differently in an accident if they are heavy rather than light?? But that really is just an assumption of mine.
I think that we will wait untill xav is closer to the 9kg wgich is what the turn a tot is rated for. i think we are also going to be starting the teething rollercoaster xavier has been gnawing in things like he has a purpose and getting anry when he does, like it hurts.
-
Hi girls,
blueflower - I'm not watching the video about the car seat either! I turned Oliver's around the other day as I had to swap cars with DF and wanted to see how he would go. He is much happier and I like being able to see him, although I must stop looking so much! When Lexxen was little I bought a bath seat that had like a t-bar type thing and suction caps to attach it to the bath. It was great and he used it for ages! I'm going out next week to look for one for Oliver. I'm sure they will be even better now.
Rebecca - we do the shower thing too, although Oliver doesn't seem to like it as much as he did when he was smaller.
Mel - hope you are enjoying your night and Happy Anniversary! OMG what a big boy you have! Is he still breastfed?
Veronica - Oliver started sitting by himself yesterday! And I found it a bit awkward too! It just looked so strange after seeing him on his back or tummy all these months. It's really great though, he is loving being up like that.
Well I had Oliver immunised today. We were a bit late as he was sick when he was due and with the move everything was a bit hectic. I wasn't going to get the rotavirus one but DF talked me into it. Within an hour of the needles he was really restless and grizzly. He's in bed sleeping soundly though so hopefully he will be ok.
Ok, does anyone else's partner do this? Tonight DF asked me if I knew where a particular pair of work shorts were. I told him I had washed them today and that they were on the line with a whole heap of other things. Well he goes out to the clothesline and comes back in with just the shorts!!! WTF, I hate that! Why couldn't he get everything else off as well? When I asked him this he just looked at me like I was mad! Oh well, maybe I should just take off mine and the kids stuff and leave his on there next time. lol
We had some new furniture delivered today, I'm so excited! I got a new dining table, outdoor table, new desk chair, a really beautiful bedroom setting and Lexxen got a new bed and mattress.
Anyways, I'm so tired and I really should go and get these clothes of the line before it rains! Hope you are all well!
