Hey everyone. Thanks to tose of you who have congratulated me:) Very much appreaciated:)
I've been pretty busy of late, Lach's been a bit sick, and I have been aswell. Had a bad last few days, but at least he is sleeping better at night:)
teeth 7,8,9&10, had cut the gums, but went back down. Bloody teeth. LOL
Lachs been pulling himself to stand heaps of late, and I hope it's just a phase but we'll see:)
AMM yeah I did see your poast, thanks:) Gp finally referred us to a pead, so am looking forward to seeing what he says, and getting myself ready for a fight if he tries to fob us off. LOL
Sorry guys, I haven't the time to scroll back through the posts, but I promise I will:)
TOJ - Hows the little belly bubba going?? I am so jealous, I wish I was preggers again.... oh well, not long to wait now till we TTC. Yay!
ANys, must go.
much love to you all
xxoo
-
Nikki, thats terrible you had to wait so long for the refferal and it sounds like it took them to see it for themselves first, even though he has had such a sore bum. I tried Lucas on the coloxyl drops too, all it did really was make it worse as he'd make all the sounds and movements and be in pain but nothing would come out. Bummer there is a 6 week wait for the paed. :wall: Do you think they could give you advise over the phone on what the paed recommends for infant constipation? You could check first to see that his records have been sent over. Lucas had really bad constipation when he was 6 weeks+ and like I said the Duphalac that our paed recommended was the only things that stopped it. DF and I, and this is going to sound funny, but we agree that during the time he was constipated, was harder for us than when he was in NICU after major abdominal surgery(probably because we were alone and clueless on what to try next). So I definately understand what you guys are going through and I hope you get some answers soon.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi girls
Gee its been ages since i have been able to sit down n type something in here, i have been coming by and checking things out ......
Bayleigh has a really bad cold and therefor our sleeping is up the creek again GRRRRR He's even refusing to have day sleeps if he does sleep he will for only about half an hour and hes worse then wat he was before he went down...

He still has all the teething signs red dry cheeks dribbling heaps chewing everything, grumpy, really bad runny smelly POO that has been around for over a week.....
Good points He has taken a few more steps through out the week last night he didnt think we were watching him n he let go of the coffee table n very slowly took 3 steps n then i said waahoo bubba n he fell down LOL OOPS He has learnt how to blow kisses its very cute spit goes everywhere but very cute LOL he has also learnt to play indains (makes sounds n puts hand up top his month ntakes it away again ) and he claps thinks hes pretty clever also he waves at everyone been tryin to get him to do it for months but has decided he would do it in his own time...... He also thinks hes a big boy n doesnt like to sit in the high chair he wants to sit on the pinic table that DD and DstepS sit at so yesterday we let him sit there with his brother n sister to eat his lunch of lil hotdogs n he thoguht it was was fantastic n he sat there n ate all his lunch without moving so i sat him there again today for lunch n he did the same ( i thought he would have moved as it was only him there)

Hi ladies
Just popped in to catch up...again! Sorry i have not been around but im afraid to say the m/s has kicked in and really bad:( And its worse than when pg with ethan, although im not vomiting this time round, but its a constant all day and night nausea/queasiness which makes me shake, sometimes i wish i would just vomit and ease the nausea for at least 10mins lol gross i know. Any way enough about vomit lol :D
Ethan has no more teeth but still having teething symptoms though so hopefully soon. I was so so proud of him the other night as he slept for 13hrs!!! From 6.30pm till 7.30am! Pity i had a crap nights sleep though, but it definately made a difference from the 3-4 times a night where still having.
Well i am going to have to go, i apologize for no personals and will try later or tomorrow to come and do them, im off to have a lie down.
Hope you are all well and had a great start to the week:) BBL

Just popping my head up to say hi to everyone. We're just pottering along here, as you do. Liam's 4th tooth has finally put in an appearance, so I'm hoping for a couple of weeks of more sleep & better eating. He's also started crawling properly, although reverts to commando when he's tired, and he's pulling himself to standing on everything. Especially my legs. Which is pretty cute, although sometimes at the end of a long day I could do without the groping IYKWIM. And his new favourite toy is the upside-down washing basket. Typical kid - so many proper toys, and all he wants is the washing basket. Mental head, but pretty funny, he balances up against it and bashes it like a drum. And I think he has a new favourite book. We borrowed "where's spot" from the library and he seems really taken by it, which is great for me, cos I'm so over "where's the green sheep"! Although the love shown for Spot might make me have to go & get a permanent copy anyway. Apologies for no personals today, am just feeling a bit knackered, and to be honest, want to catch up with some TV time now that Liam is in bed.
-
Hi all!
Pretty buggered here too, and by the looks of the lack of posts it seems everyone's in the same boat! Lucas has had a shocking cold this week and has developed a cough today....his nose is a tap and he HATES me trying to wipe it!! He has been up a number of times a night all this week, cant complain though cos the poor kid cant breathe!! You can imagine what this has done to our already dismal milk drinking!! Not much else to report but i think we have sold our house again, fingers crossed!!
Hope everyone out there is doing ok!!
xx
-
Hi everyone! Sorry I havn't been in here for ages! But you know how life gets in the way!
Congrats to Tears of Joy and Niadla! Babies and Weddings my two favourite things:hooray:
I hope everyone else is doing great too!
Quick question- Link doesn't hold his bottle, we hold it for him! He can hold it but he just squirts milk everywhere or chucks it and doesn't drink it! Its frustrating!! Should he be drinking it by himself? Its hard to judge making him drink it himself and getting it into him! I just don't know, plus I like cuddling him and giving him his bottle :D
I'm so excited cos it looks like Link is up with all the other July babies:dance: He does all the things that you are all talking about! He crawls, has two teeth and eats finger food! He has started to hold onto furniture and take little steps sideways I'm so damn proud of him! My little STAR!!!
Well take care everyone, sorry about no personals but its hard to keep up with you all! lol
xox
-
Nay - Lucas doesn't hold his bottle either...too lazy! But he hardly drinks it when we hold it anyway!!
-
Nay ~ Link sounds like he is going great, you must be so proud of him. Do you often think back to his NICU days when you look at him? I do that with Lucas. We usually feed Lucas his milk bottles (ends up on the floor otherwise) but we try and encourage him to hold his own water or juice.
Janno ~ Yay  on Liam crawling and pulling himself up! Hope you had a nice rest too. ;)
Megan and Sarah ~ Hope the boys colds are getting better.
Nicky ~ I spelt your name wrong before sorry I have a good friend that spells it that way! How is Lachlan?
I'm admiring your decision to have a surprise wedding ATM too Nicky. My original plans of a tiny wedding with only the 3 of us in the south pacific has gone out the window. :o
Our parents wanted to come (couldnt say no) so we decided on a Lord Howe Island wedding to save everyone getting passports, then our brothers and sisters started talking about coming too so we decided to be done with it and have the wedding here with an island honeymoon. A far cry from our original no fuss plans.
BUT I have found the perfect spot for the ceremony and reception, it is a beautiful beach house on 28 acres and is exactly what I was looking for, for our now 50max guestlist. (If you want to have a look blissbeachhouse.com.au/photos.html).
Bye for now xox
-
hehe thanks AMM. Yeah lach's going well. The #2's still aren't fantastic but aere better than they were... just dont want to be relying on coloxyl drops, and have his bowel get lazy.
The wedding is coming along well. We have decided to tell parents, as this is the first family wedding and probably the only one for quite a few years, Adam and I are both the oldest.
ANys, Telling mum tonight. Can't wait:) No other family members know, and no other guests.
We have the venue and celebrant booked, my engagement ring adam found on the weekend, so will pikc that up next week all going well, my friend is making my dress, so going down for first fitting etc next weekend. It's starting to come together. I don;t care if noone but family turns up.... as Long as Adam and I get married, that's ll that matters to me:) Looking very forward to it though:)
We organise photographer next week.
Amm - That beach house is gorgeous!!! WOW!
Well Lach's teeth are giving him hell again.... 7th and 8thhave cut through again (albeit on some toys at another mums house... lol.... blood all over the toy). They are only just through, tiny little spikes, but enough to have him pretty cranky.
Oh and he stood on his own for a few sconds the other night! OH NO!!!!!! I don't want that yet! lol
anys, its freezing cold, and I have to get ready to go out. Have a good one all:)
-
Hi girls! Not sure if this post is going to work - I think my computer has a virus, it's running super super slow and is so frustrating!
Just wanted to say hi and hope everyone is well.
AMM - the house is seriously gorgeous! I love it and it looks like the perfect spot. I love all this wedding talk! Nicky - you sound nice and organised already - keep us updated. I love weddings!
How is all the day sleeping going for everyone? T seems to be cutting back to about 1 and a half hours in the morning and about 45mins to 1 hour in the afternoon. It seems to be working well though. Sleeping through again, thankgod! The only night he wakes is a Wednesday night when i have been at work that day, I think he needs to fill his cuddle quota!
The little muffin is awake so no time for any more personals. Everything is going pretty well here - crawling properly, standing, attempting to walk (boo hoo), eating pretty good, bottles going much better than they were. Sarah - Tom won't hold his, if we try to make him he just tips it upside down.
Jan - I know what you mean about getting sick of the same book. Tom is obsessed with It's Time for Bed. I brought him a great one from work called Ten Little Glow Worms that has flashing lights etc, but it is always straight over to the other one. His latest trick is when I say "what noise does a bird make', he says "Wack wack wack". DH is devastated - he keeps saying "He won't say Dad, but he will quack like a duck".
Well, better be off. Not sure when I will be back due to computer - it is driving me nutso so I hope everyone has a
 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
-
Well my poor little pumpkin has a chest infection...he sounds awful, with a shocking cough and raspy breathing. Strangely enough even though he was worse yesterday it was the first night in a week we didnt have to get up to him, he was coughing all night though. He is happy during the day though, just a bit clingy by the afternoon.
Em - Lucas does a morning and afternoon sleep of between an hour and an hour and a half usually. He survives on that and is in bed by 7pm each night! The "wack wack" is so cute!!
Nicky - sounds like the wedding plans are going great guns! Good luck with it all, its such a fun time!
I cant believe how many teeth Lach has!
August - the beach house looks ace, i hope it all works out how you want it to!
Just wondering what all the bubs are being fed these days? Not sure if i am moving on enough with Lucas and not sure what to give next, especially with finger food?? What are you guys giving for lunch these days? Also, Lucas still rarely stands on flat feet he is always on his toes, so he will never walk if that doesnt change, should i be worried??
Well i will be off i need to have a break in case we have a long night!!
-
Sarah - poor little Bayleigh, how's his cold going? Hopefully he's feeling better by now. And how's the walking going, any more steps??
Jess - any sign of those teeth yet? I hope Ethan's still giving you some long night sleeps. The MS just sucks though, at least you know that it does actually end...
Nay - it's great to hear that Link is doing so well, and learning so many things. Even with a full-termer, I still occasionally worry about the speed at which Liam is or isn't doing things, so it must be really gratifying to have Link doing the same thing as kids that should by rights have been a bit older than him. They're amazingly clever really.
August - what a gorgeous venue for your wedding. I am looking forward to hearing lots of your planning stories, weddings are so exciting.
Nicky - how did your Mum take the news?? You sound like you're super-organised. And how's the standing going (Lachlan's, not yours :) )
Em - the quacking would be adorable to hear, and very clever. It's funny how they get obsessed by one book. Although I think I've managed to break the green sheep hold - we borrowed "where's Spot" from the library, and have to say it's an absolute winner. Don't know what it is, but there's something about it that really engages him, and I'm quite sure that when we do the bedtime routine now he looks for it. I have so many books lined up that I'm dying to read to him, but which are just a bit too "wordy" for him at the moment. My latest favourite is a newish release one called "Cork on the Ocean" by Mark Somerset. It's a gorgeous story, and lovely metaphor for life really. Liam also loves one by William Bee called "and the Train goes..." It's lots of fun to read. Sorry, am obsessed with kids books at the moment...
Megan - any news on the house yet? We're still pretty slow with food. He gets Rafferty's garden cereal from the green packed mixed with apple for breakfast, although we have got the apricot/banana flavour to try. For lunch, I'm now doing a slice of wholegrain bread (sometimes toasted, sometimes not) half of which I spread with avocado, the other bit with vegemite. He prefers the avocado at the moment. I've also been giving him bits of cheese, just cut from a block of normal cheese, no fancy kid-cheese for us. So either tasty cheese, or the old-fashioned Kraft Cheddar in the blue box. He's not fussed about the cheese, but I'm working on the basis that one day he'll go yum... Lunch is a finger food experience. Then for dinner he gets my super vegie mix (sweet potato, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, corn, leek, cauliflower) mixed with either pumpkin/chicken or pumpkin/steak, and sometimes with a cube of potato as well. I usually mix through some cous-cous (cos it's sooo easy to prepare) or pasta or rice (if we've had rice for our dinner). Sometimes I melt cheddar cheese through this mix as well, but not always, cos I want him to eat plain vegies happily. Depending on what his appetite is like I'll sometimes offer an extra teaspoon or so of apple mixed with plain yogurt for dessert. I'm using the Jalna Bio-dynamic Natural yogurt, with a red lid, as it's not low fat and I think is a little creamier than the Paul's natural yogurt. I was initially sceptical that he'd eat the yogurt, but he's definitely coming around to the idea. If I taking him out and know that he might be stuck in his pram for a while, then I usually take some broken up pieces of rye cruskit, which he likes to chew on. However, having typed all of that, Liam's been really slow when it comes to being interested in food, so some of the others will probably have better experiences/ideas. Regarding his tippy toes, I wouldn't be worried exactly, but I'd probably be getting it checked out, and not just by a normal GP, I'd want a paed to have a look.
We've had a long day so far. Liam woke at 3.30 last night (hmm, and that's different because?? I hear you say ....) but he did this weird "I'm going to be sick" convulsion, but then didn't, but he did have a temp that I measured at 38.7, and was really pale & sad. And so that's been my day really, a couple of doses of Dymadon, a trip to the drs, and then more doses of Nurofen. He's sleeping now, and temp seems to have gone down, so fingers crossed he has a good nights sleep, poor little tacker.
And a bit of a "secret", mainly because it feels a bit weird to be writing it, but there is the possibility that there will be some shopping for bling tomorrow (health of child permitting), of the left ring finger style, so that it a bit exciting really. We're not telling anyone until we've got the ring sorted out, but everyone here knows that the "not telling" clause doesn't apply to BB buddies!!
Take care everyone, and hope that everyone's first live Mother's Day is really really special.
-
janno27- Bayleighs cold is heaps better now i just need to stop his runny nose.... Bayleigh like the washing basket too, Even better a full washing basket with nicely folded washing in it as he likes to empty it all out on to the floor then plays peek a boo by putting clothes over his head LOL
Megan76- Bayleigh eats 1 1/2 weetbix for breakfast and for lunnch he can have either a vegimite sandwich or fruit jelly or pasta but he prefers the sandwich as he can feed himself, Also bayleigh stood on his tippy toes when he first started standing but he soon learnt to stand flat footed
Em- Bayleigh is about the same as T for his day sleeps, Very clever on T making Wack Wack Wack sounds. Bet it sounds very cut3
Nicky- How did you mum take the wedding news? Is she excited? I bet she would be
OMG on the teeth... Wish bayleigh had that many
AMM- The beach house is gorgous
Nay23- Bayleigh has been holding his own bottle since he was about 5 months old.. We lay him on the flip out Couch and he just lays there and drinks his bottle Only really plays with it if he isnt thirsty or he is sick... If he is sick i cuddle him and feed him but he gets grumpy with that as he is LIL MR Independant
TOJ- Hows the M/S going? That is the worse thing about being pregnant i reackon.....
 YAY on Ethan sleeping 13 hours how awesome.. But its always the way they sleep well when you have a crap night...
Well as for us
:dance:WE HAVE A TOOTH
It came through yesterday i found it when he decided to chew on my fingers LOL i was sooo excited its only taken us 9 and a half months but we have gotten there
Bayleigh also took 5 steps on thursday it took him over a min to take the 5 steps as he steadyed himself up a couple of times
I have started to organise Bayleighs birthday LOL i know its still over 2 months away but i have a lot of family that live in melb actually all my family live in melb except my mum n 2 of my brothers and chris' aunts n cousins live in shepperton so i have to give them plenty of time to save and organise things.... really only reason im sending invites soon is so people cant use the excuse "We didnt have enuff notice" coz i know few of them will use it
I think i have found the cake i will make ( i have made everyone of my DD birthday cakes n 2 of DStepS cakes ) but i cant decide whether to do Thomas or a Car.....
Well better head off Children want food
Sorry if i missed any of u in the personals i know i did but there is just sooooo many of them LOL so once again im sorry if i missed you
Hope you all have a good weekend and hope you have a
FANTASTIC MOTHERS DAY Tomorrow

Computer seems to be temporarily behaving so jumping on quickly. Jan!! How exciting! Here's hoping Liam is ok and you can do the shopping!
And Jess - happy birthday for Friday (I think I have the right day). I knew it was your birthday but couldn't get computing working. Hope you had a great day xx
Happy Mother's day to everyone else
-
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!
Hope you've all had a great one:)
My mum is THRILLED to say the least! LOL Sh'e sbeen out everyday since, looking at cakes, and bridesmaid dresses. I am soooo glad I told her. She's going to be a great help.
JANNO - OOOOO yay!!!! How did the possible left ring finger shopping go??? That's very exciting! Hopefully, we can pick my ring up next week, and then we might decide to tell people... not sure as of yet.
Well not alot happening. Lach's going well... so many teeth about to poke through, I wish they would just hurry up an do it! They are drivng him, and in turn, me, MAD! Poor kid. But we'll get through it:)
Still pulling up and walking along everything. Whilst cute, wasn't in my plans at 9 months of age. LOL I just hope he decides that that is enough excitement for a while.
ooo We bought him a TUX yesterday!!! For the wedding! It's ADORABLE! Just have to wait to finalize the bridal party suits, and we'll get him a matching tie. It's a little too big at the moment, but I bought it with the thoughts that he would grow into it. He's got a bit over 4 months.
ANyway, hope you have all been spoilt rotten. Happy first ever mothers day to all of the gorgeous July 07 mummies:)
xxoo

I'm poking my head in to to say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
I will try and catch up too... things have settles down a little here so I "might" get more time to read!!
-
Hi everyone, hope you all had a fab mothers day! Thanks for the comments on the beach house for the wedding. I had already decided on a red/white/black theme (based on my wanting a red rose bouquet) so the venue ties in perfectly. The ceremony is going to be at 11am with a luncheon for a reception so the garden and lily pond setting is just perfect. For those married/getting married how did you find the perfect wedding dress? I'm finding it tough to decide on a style, and whether to buy a gown or just something white that I could wear again? There is so much to choose from, thank goodness I have a bit of time, but any advise would be great!
Lucas has been great, still no crawling, he seems more intent on rolling around everywhere and trying to pull himself up on things. He chatters non stop, has started saying nan, and last night when I said 'lets go change your bum-bum', he said bum-bum-bum-bum! Probably not the best word to teach him!
He was waking up during the night a fair bit last week. His bedtime was all over the place, I think because of daylight savings. He was going to bed early (5.30-6ish) but then waking back up so keeping him up for the extra hour and putting him in bed at 7pm has got us back on track, and also making sure that he has a full tummy as I think he was waking up hungry (going by the sound of his belly growling at 4am!)
I am moving this weekend and I wont be getting the internet on straight away so I'm :( to say that I wont be around for awhile as of next week, but I will still try and pop in when I can. I hate talking on the phone, its only connected for the internet which is dial up and so slow anyway so I'm not going to bother for awhile and save myself the extra bill!
Have a great day xox
-
Hi everyone,
Remember me, sorry it's been so long since I have posted in here, but I have had a very very busy last few weeks. I have had kids christening, my birthday, my sisters hucks day, my sisters wedding, my sisters marriage break-up, teeth in, sick babies, organising charlize birthday party. So it's just been mad.
Kids christening went really well. I got done too, which was a little wierd, but all good. Jack now has 2 teeth, which was totally unexpected. Unfortuately they both feel sick with a cold the day before my sisters wedding on saturday. But thankfully for panadol they were wonderful. It was a wonderful day. I will post some pics once, things have settled down some.
Charlize turns 2 at the end of the month, where has my baby gone, she even got her first hair cut yesterday, I wonder if that is a record, she didn't really need one, just tidyied up the back.
Jack is well, weighed him last week and he is now 10.7kg. So still going strong.
I will promise to read back and catch up on what's been happening. I see Jan got engaged, and Jess is having another baby. Congrats to you both. That's awesome news. Is there any other big news I should know about????
Anyway I will post again, once I have read back some. Hope your all well, talk to you soon
Mel.

HELLO!!!!
It must be a night of the MIA getting back into action! I have been so busy also with a bit of work from home, which sees me on the pc so much but not being able to get on here and read. But that is dying down and will be going into the office soon I think.
I hope everyone had a great mothers day and were spoilt by your DH and babies! We had a week in QLD last week as it was DH's 30th plus we had a 50th to go to. But I got a sleep in, brekkie and bed then DH and Olivia came in, Olivia carrying a pink teddy that said BEST MUM. DH also got me some Gold Class tickets. Olivia also said Mum on Thurs so that was the best pressie :)
Olivia is going well, can't beleive the 1st birthdays are coming up for us all!! She only has 2 teeth, but is crawling, pulling herself up on everything and very steady on her feet. She is the best little thing in the world and so not a worry for us.
Hope to get on here a bit more now and read about your bubbas.
Anyone pregnant yet???
Luv to all
Lis xx
-
P.S - Sorry to hear about your sisters marriage break-up, didn't she just have her wedding though? Hope she gets through this :hugs:
-
Bayleigh is walking He took 15 steps on sunday and then yesterday he just pretty much walked everywhere and he has pretty much done the same today still crawls to places he wants to get to fast but yeah my baby isnt a baby anymore hes a LIL BOY :(
Hope everyone had a great mothers day and were all spoilt rotten like we allllll deserve
Sarah
-
Hey Flossie, sounds like all is very well at your end. My oldest sister is going through the break up and my middle sister is the one that just got married on the weekend. So it's been hard for both.
P.S just saw your ticker. We were married on the 21st Jan 06.
-
Sarah - Well done to Bayleigh! So many smart bubbas here :)
Mel - I wish your sister the best, must be so hard and for you also, its awful when a loved one is going through a hard time. But the loved ones are what gets them through it! :hugs:
What are everyone's plans for 1st birthdays? We are having Olivia's on the 6th July at a Neighbourhood Centre as there is NO WAY I am having 18 kids through my house in winter...imagine if its muddy outside hehehe. We are having a butterfly them, so have the cake tin organised and some cookie cutters. I am trying to find a really lovely keepsake for her that has 1st birthday or something on it, does anyone have any ideas or website?
xxxx
-
Hello everyone,
Flossie - I was just coming on to see if anyone had any plans for 1st birthdays! We were planning a big party but not so sure anymore. Might just have a little one with my mother's group on the actual day of Oliver's birthday and then a family and close friends get together on that weekend. I wanted to invite all the people we know but DF thinks it's a bit silly to invite people who don't even know Oliver. I guess he is right......but only this once! lol. As for the keepsake what about getting something like a locket engraved and you could put a picture of the three of you at her party inside it. hmmmm I'm not much help! I am only used to buying presents for boys!
Sarah - for Bayleigh! And  to you, don't worry, we all go through this!
Mel - wow! I just realised how close together your kids are! You are a brave woman. How are the studies going?
AMM - I love the red/black/white theme for your wedding! I have no idea when mine will happen.....but my little sister is getting married early next year and has asked me to be a bridesmaid so I am SO happy about that!
Well things here have been a little up and down lately. A couple of months ago I started to see some funny spots out of the corner of my left eye. I let it go for a while, as us mums do, but finally got it checked when I woke up one morning and couldn't see properly out of the eye!! Very scary stuff. I went to an optometrist who referred me to a nuerologist - even scarier stuff - who sent me to have an MRI. I had to wait two weeks to get an appointment and meanwhile my GP is telling me that she thought I could have MS!!! But, all good, no MS and nothing else showed up in my brain but they still don't know what is wrong with my eye. I have to go back to the specialist soon so hopefully get some answers.
Anyways, Oliver is doing great! He has four teeth now, is standing and cruising along the furniture and claps and dances! He has a couple of favourite ads which he always stops what he is doing when they come on and will dance to the music! He is eating lots of different foods now, his favourite things are cheese, banana on toast and grapes. He is still breastfed too.
Speaking of Oliver, he just woke up so I'm off again! Will try and get back a bit more.
Hello to everyone else and your gorgeous babies.
Raels and Oliver. xo
-
Hey Everyone!!
I have been reading a bit these days but havent had any time to make a post. I sat down to start today, but Avaleigh woke up!! But she is happy at the moment so I may get in a quick post.
Avaleigh's walking is perfect here. She is trying to run now! But I think she has worked out that she cant get her legs to move quick enough. Because of all the walking (she is always walking around from one room to another, hardly sits still!) we are getting two sleeps per day from anywhere between 45mins - 2 hrs and we are sleeping through the night. But on the cold nights, she wakes a bit cause she has kicked her covers off! We are still breastfeeding here and solids are going good this week. Last week it was a bit of a mission cause she wasnt very well. I cant believe how quickly the time is going by!! I have no idea what to do about her first birthday. I dont think its going to be anything big as she wont remember it - well that is my thoughts at least...
Raels - I hope they find out what the problem is with your eye.
Lis - Hey there!! I was thinking about how you were going, was going to msg you on facebook but never got round to it..
Sarah - YAY on the walking!! Once they start something they cant stop.
Congrats to Jan on the engagement!
AMM - I went through the wedding dress shopping not long ago and the only thing I can suggest is try on any and every dress!! Even if the dress looks horrible on the hanger or not the style you want, try it on - you could be surprised!!! Good luck, its a lot of fun.
Not much happening in my world. I am booking a weekend getaway for the family in June - cant wait to get out of perth!! I've started doing a paper run, money is not so great, but its something and its MY money and I am getting paid to walk. Jason's work is slowing down a little so I am going to try and get some money out of centrelink... Hmmm I think thats all.
Well better go. We might go out for a walk to get some fresh air now that it has warmed up a bit..

DOH! Olivia just woke up just as I started reading so this will be quick - she is banging her dummy agains the cot LOL
Raels - that is great news that its not MS, that would have been SO scary. Do they know what could have cause the spots? We are having a lot of ppl at Olivia's party, I think we are inviting about 60 OMG! But each and every person are in her life and see her constantly (large family on DH side and lots of friends). But this will be the one and only party (until the 18th/21st etc) that we will have so many ppl, the next ones will just be children.
V - I can't wait to see Olivia walk, it must be great to watch - but tiring as well yeah? Running around after her? Is she hiding things yet or moving things so you can't find them?
Well must go and get the little one up, I think she is having some major teething, or will be going through it soon. She chowed down on a rusk before and she hasn't done that since No. 2 so hopefully tooth No.3 is not to far away!
Also - Olivia has always been so good with food, but lately she is starting to spit it all out, even past which she LOVES. I don't understand????

HELP!!
I don't know what to do, come bedtime Olivia screams the house down when we put her down. She is happy as larry to go to bed any other time by come 7:30 and she screams and screams. I go in there, she throws her dummy away and laughs, we let her cry for awhile to see if she will just settle but it gets worse and worse DH is in there now, she is quiet but we put her to bed at 7:30!!! This is just a pain, especially when we have ppl over for dinner I don't know what to do.
A lot of the time she still has wind, now this is after giving her her bottle 1 hour before bedtime and its only 50ml more then her 2 day bottles (200ml at night.
I am out of things to try...after about an hour or so she eventually drifts off. Tonight I have given her nurofen (as she is teething) but she is never this bad with teeth. Argghhh pulling my hair out!
-
Lis - is she possibly overtired by 7.30pm? I have read in heaps of stuff that 7pm is the magical time for bed for some reason! Sometimes Lucas is even in bed by 6.45pm and he still sleeps till after 7am. Just a thought!
Sorry girls, busy beaver this week...will be back to normal next week and will catch up!!

Lis - Yeh it is great to watch Avaleigh walk and YES she has moved things around and I cant find them!! Her favourite thing to do at the moment is, pick up something and walk around the house with it. Not good when its your keys or mobile phone! HAHA Its not so tiring for me, but is for Avaleigh - its great to have huge day sleep since we never got them when she was younger!! I am not sure what to do about the screaming at bedtime, maybe it is the teething or maybe it is something else. I know that Megan just said that maybe Olivia is overtired, but what is she isnt ready to go to bed and she wants to stay up and play some more (hense the throwing dummy and laughing)??? A while back I tried to get Avaleigh to bed by 7pm but it didnt happen!! I would get the same screaming or playing in bed or throwing dummy away to get me back in the room to play or I would be rocking/bouncing and it was just so exhausting so I decided to just stick to having bed time at 8pm because at this time she will either fall asleep on me while feeding or she will fall asleep by herself in the cot after a little bit of cuddles. Does she have a nap in the arvo??
-
Morning everyone!!
I hope you are all well. I am feeling reeeeeeeeeeeallly tired. I wish I could have a nap now cause Avaleigh is sleeping but I got all the house work to do, so going to have a coffee and then get stuck in to it! Luckily my house isnt too dirty..
I forgot Jason's birthday this morning!!! :o I am such a bad wife.. I told him I will make it up to him when he gets back from work!!
I am planning a weekend getaway in June - cant wait! Only prob is I keep changing where to stay.. I cant make up my mind!
-
Thanks girls for your ideas, have definately thought it was overtired or she is just not tired enough - its SO hard sometimes!! Olivia has 2 day sleeps, 1 hour in the morning and lately 3 hours in the afternoon, maybe the 3 hour sleep is just too much? I just put her down, so will get her up just after 4 and then try 7:30pm and see how she goes.
But she seems to have a lot of wind at night too? If she is crying I can tell her wind cry, I get her up and she either does 2 burps or I can feel her digest and I don't get it as she had her bottle over and hour ago!
I wish I could have breastfeed longer - then she I could get her to sleep on me after feeding :( Oh well, she is birlliant :)
She feel asleep just after 8:30 last night, woke up at 6:45 - so not too bad as she usually gets up at 7.
I got housework to do as well V but can't be bothered - watching Days of our Lives (I love it - sad as it is LOL) then I might get stuck in to something :)

Lis - WOW 3 hours sleep in the afternoon!! That is great amount of sleep. What time would that sleep normally be over by?? I would say she is not tired enough, but I am only saying that from my experience with Avaleigh. It could be wind too, maybe just spend that extra bit of time burping her. I do that with Avaleigh or I was giving her the Brauers Colic Releif, but we have finished the bottle so I am trying to see how we go without it - Avaleigh loves the stuff! Avaleigh used to give me burps an hour after a feed but we havent gotten that for a while.. Just play around with her bed time, so maybe try one night having her go to sleep a little bit later and see what happens. The extra play time surely will make her tired!!
Mmmm I am cooking a roast for dinner tonight - it smells YUM!! I am making up for forgetting Jason's birthday that morning.
-
Well tonight Olivia went down without a peep!!! She got up at 7am, so I planned to put her down at 7pm. She only had a bit under 2 hours sleep in the afternoon. V - when she has that 3 hours she goes from 2-5 so I do think it was too long and I think she wasn't ready for bed when we were trying to put her down. So will try this again tomorrow and see how we go, fingers crossed!
Yum a roast, you must be pretty organised! Jev is away tonight so I had lean cuisine lasagne and a mars bar LOL
Do all of your bubbas drink water? Olivia is SO fussy and I reckon I have every cup on the market. I even put a little bit of baby apple juice but still the same. I want to drop her day bottle but don't feel I can until she is drinking more water!!!
Have a good night all!

Lis- glad you had a better night! I think the late sleep would definately be the problem as if she's up at 5 by 7.30 she's only been up for 2.5 hours. Lucas is usually up by 3.30pm so he is definately ready by 7pm!!
V - very impressed by the roast! How are you finding it with a walker? Everyone keeps saying, oh you dont want him to walk but i really do!! I want to go to the park and stuff!!
Lucas still has a shocker of a cough and teeth numbers 4-8 are popping through at the moment but he is not to bothered by it yet, not like with the first top two!
I am in such a pickle now as we are going to a wedding tomorrow and its going to be 17 and rain, hows a girl supposed to dress for a wedding in that weather?? Its criminal! Nothing looks good, i am way too pasty white and am not looking forward to getting the body out there!! Need an overcoat. The worst thing is i am doing a reading and DH is the best man so i need to look somewhat presentable!!
-
Lis - great that Olivia went down without a peep!! Avaleigh is awake by 4pm with the afternoon sleep, but she is still not really for bed until 7.30 or 8 but that suits me fine as I go to the gym some nights during the week.
Megan - good luck with the dressing for the wedding!! Not very nice weather at all but hopefully you will find something nice
I went out to the shops tonight (baby free!) and there are soooooooooooo many nice clothes out there that I want to buy. I found this awesome jacket that I wish I could have bought!! Hmmm I need to find some money.. I think I am going to need lots of money to buy a new wardrobe as I have lost 30kg since the birth of Avaleigh...
-
Hey Hey, well it's only been just shy of a month since i was last here.
Well can't stay long, I'm home from wqork with a sick boy, I'll try and come back later if I can just get him to sleep.
He is currently screaming in his cot right now.
But we are all still alive. just no time to play on belly belly.

Gee sounds like most of the kiddies r sick ATM..... Bayleigh is slowly gettin over his cold that he has had for 3 weeks now.. Such a pain when you go to the doc and they say its a cold i cant give you anything for it take him home n give him paracitamol....
I have been sick too same with DP only one that hasnt been crook is DD......
V- i know what you mean bout tryin to find lots of money to buy a new wardrobe... Im currently in the process of losing weight (have lost 7.1kg in 3 weeks) and already some of my clothes are gettin big and i still have 20 or so KGs to lose..... DP gunna hate da credit card bill once i am at my goal weight...... How did the roast go? Did jason forgive u for forgetting his Birthday
Lis- Bayleigh drinks bout 2 sipper cups of water a day plus the water he drinks from my pump bottle.. i started him on water when he was bout 2 months old i think as he got a lil bit of thrush in his mouth and i needed to wash the milk from his mouth since then he has had either a bottle or cup of water pretty much everyday .....he loves it actually we all drink water in our house as we dont have softdrinks (they get drunk to fast ).. We do have cordial but DD is only allowed a small cup of cordial with tea...... How is Olivias sleeping going????? 3 hours in da arvo is a huge sleep i think that it mite be to much and olivia isnt a bit tired as she had a BIG sleep just 2.5 hrs before... Good luck with it anyway
Well Bayleigh and i have had a busy day today... This morning we went to DD school to watch her skip for jump rope for heart it was great to watch i got sum great action shots with my new DSLR...
