Hi Ladies,
I haven't been on for a little while now, I've had a few computer troubles and the pil have been over from NZ. Finally sorted out our new internet connection today but it looks like our laptop is having a few issues with recharging so looks like we will be using some of phil's tax return to buy a new computer! Which is kind of exciting!
I haven't read through all the posts yet but just wanted to say hi!
-
HI there all. How's it going.
Just a quick question
What are your feeding routines with solids for your bubs?
How much, how often and what do you feed them?
Lach has progressed, and is eating quite chunky food. I am just starting to get into a bit of a boring routine, and he's eating alot of the same things. ANy ideas from any other mums would be great:)
Cheers

Hi All
Havn't been on BB for a while, hope everyone is well.
Things have been crazy lately, have been really busy with my prac work, and on top of that have had to cope with my Pop passing away last weekend. Finding it really hard to believe that I will never see him again :(
On a nicer note Tayah's walking really well now, she has only crawled a few times in the last couple of days, usually when she is tryin to get somewhere really fast. She has also started playing peek a boo, where she ducks down next to the arm of the lounge and waits for me to say 'wheres Tayah' then she stands up and says 'arghhh', its pretty cute.
Anyway hopefully when I finish prac at the end of next week il get a chance to read back through everyones posts and do some personals.
Take care

Evening Ladys
How was your weekend???
Ours was good Bayleigh is walking sooooo much more hes so little to be walking we went to a friends lil boys 1st birthday party on saturday night and everyone there couldnt believe he was walking at 10 months... It seems that people (alot of the older people is grand parents) think they shouldnt be walkin at such an early age made me feel abit weird actually... they made me feel like i shouldnt be encourageing him to walk... Hate how some people can make you feel like that... Veroncia and Emma M have you had anyone make you feel like that about Avaleigh and Tayah walking?????
Well today bayleigh and i had a day at home after a busy weekend....Bayleigh was playing with his toys and watching ABC2 and i was folding washing and putting it away and mopping floors and so anway i sat down at the dining table to have a drink and bayleigh came over to me and he stunk like rotten feet and had this feral stuff around his mouth and i said to him what on earth have u eaten (used to him having something in his mouth) and i went to smell his mouth n i nearly dryreched it smelt dat bad so i walked over to the TV cabinet as that was where he was playing n i could smell the rotten feet smell again so i looked around his toys n found sum egg shell well i really started to worry now so i was frantically looking for more shell when i came across DD hardboiled egg she made at school in FIRST TERM this year (i asked her to throw it out just after easter in fear that it would make the house smell) anyway she obvousily hid it and bayleigh found it today and started to EAT it so i grabbed him freaking out grabbed the fone called my mum while i have bayleigh in da bathroom cleanign him up and brushing his teeth and wiping his mouth out with the face washer i had to change his clothes AGAIN as he had rotten egg all over him and he stunk i was nearly throwing up myself... mum picked up da fone n goes wats wrong n i told her wat happened n she goes oh he should be ok if he hasnt come out in a rash or anything yet he will b efine you mite just have to keep an eye on him if he starts to throw up..... He was fine for the day didnt throw up or anything but i had a very smelly house so i had to open the house up and it was freezing BUT thank god bayleigh was fine.....
Niadla- Bayleigh has one and a half weetbix with cows milk for breaky and for lunch he has either jelly, fruit, pasta or a sandwich and for tea he has either beef cassarole and vegies or pie meat and vegies or pasta and vegies in cheese sauce or rice with some sort of sauce....... i just give his vegies a quick mash so its a bit chunky .. I probably should do some other recipes too but he seems happy with his meat n veg
Well im gunna head to bed and watch Big Brother big mouth
have a good one

Hey Girls!! I hope you are all doing well.. I finished my paper run this afternoon and I did over 18,000 steps in 4 hours! And you can imagine that my legs and feet are sore.. but atleast it is over until the weekend!
Sarah - No one has really said anything bad about Avaleigh walking at 9 months, most people were surprised at how early she started!! But Jason walked at 10 months and a friend's girl walked at 10 months. I dont think that there would have been any way NOT to encourage our children walking at such a young age! All Avaleigh wanted to do was walk, and I dont think there would have been any way to stop her. I think it is great!! Dont worry about what those people said :hugs:
Nicky - Avaleigh's food is a bit boring too! She is not too keen on chunks so we are still pureeing. I am waiting until we get some more teeth before changing the texture. So she is having porridge and cows milk for breakfast, and then I sometimes give her a snack like yohgurt about an hour and a half before lunch. For lunch we have either, toast with peanut butter or jam or marmite or avocado, cheese toasties, jelly, yohgurt, fruit. and then we may have a snack a little before dinner and then for dinner its either vegies or meat and vegies with yohgurt or jelly. I breastfeed too, probably about every 2 - 3 hours, even if Avaleigh isnt showing signs of wanting boob I offer. I am afraid that I am going to loose my milk supply in my last 2 months of breastfeeding so I offer my boobs often!! I hope this helps some how..
Well I better go, just had my coffee break and now I need to get Avaleigh's dinner sorted and our dinner too! and then its put the washing away... Ahhhh the day never ends...

Hi ladies
Sarah- I havnt had any comments about Tayah walking at 9 months. My nephew walked at 8 months and my friend who had a bub 3 weeks before Tayah was born also walked at 9 months. I wouldnt worry too much about the comments, its not like you could have stopped it anyway, if they want to walk there gonna walk.
Nicky - Tayah has porridge or toast with avo or banana for braekfast, veges, fruit, and yoghurt for lunch and veges meat pasta rice friut or yoghurt for dinner. Some are mashed and some are finger foods depending on what it is, but like V im stuggling a little with the teeth issue as Tay still has no teeth.
V- If I walked 18000steps in 4hrs I wouldnt even be able to sit at the computer and type, you must be so fit. And wow at losing 30kg  , I put 13kg on while pregnant and have only managed to lose 8-9kg, whats your secret? Im hoping that chasing a walking bub around all day might help :)
Lis- Tayah will drink water but only if I give it to her out of a cup, if its in a sippy cup she's not interested. Think its just the novelty of drinking from a cup. I just offer it to her at each meal.

Hi all,
My weekend was crap, was throwing up all day Sunday couldn't keep any food down. Then yesterday I felt fine but had a sore throat and today I think all the stuff around my throat then going down to my tummy has made me feel queasy all day, its awful. I was meant to work yesterday for my mums friend for 5 hours so missed out on some $$ but going in there tomorrow for 5 hours so should be good.
Oh no poor Bayleigh!! Is he ok now? They will get into anything won't they?? My Mum and Dads house isn't quite Olivia proof, they have ordaments and stuff all over the floor. We are here now as DH is away and Mum is having Olivia tomorrow so was easy to come in.....she cried for 40 mins at bed time arrgghh!!!
I wish Olivia would have water like Bayleigh, that is excellent! Emma - Liv does the same thing, she will dink from a cup but thinks the sippy part is funny. Do you have to hold it for Tayah?
V - 18,000 steps, my goodness, I wouldn't be standing!!! I have lost 3kg in 3 days :( I would rather do it by 18,000 steps though! I can't beleive it, I am 11kg under my weight even before I had Olivia! Before I got pregnant I was 79-81kg and just couldn't lose it but since I had her, its weird its just stayed off and I eat so much **** (prob why I am sick - don't eat the right foods!!)
Niadla - Olivia has 1 weetbix with banana and cows milk in morning. Lunch she will have pasta or chicken and then fruit and dinner she will have meat of some sort that I make (bolanagse, stir fry, cassorole). Snacks I give her cruskits or rusks, or cheese stick in half. I get bored with the food thing also, can't wait to she can have all that I have and I just have to make 1 thing for lunch and dinner :)
Must go off to bed now. Have a good day tomorrow all!

Emma - I just go to the gym heaps!! Before my wedding in december I was going 7 times in 5 days - extreme I know but I had 20 kg to lose that I put on with the pregnancy! Now I am going to the gym about 4 or 5 times a week and I walk the dogs too (bit slack with that tho!) and I just try and eat right. The past few weeks have been bad tho cause I have been baking heaps - mmm I love baking!! But I am on a 6 wk diet now - so no more of that!
Lis - YAY for the great weight loss!! I am 10kg below my pre-pregnant weight and I love it. I still want to lose about 5kg but am more focusing of losing body fat percentage.. I have a heap of fat still around my mid section that I want to get rid of. How is Olivia going at bed time - still screaming the house down or you got it sussed? With the weetbix and banana for breakfast, do you mash the banana up and mix it in hey?? I've tried giving Avaleigh weetbix but she isnt a fan of the taste, I might try it with banana when I have a banana!
Oh my legs are aching!! I think a shower and bed time..
Hey, have you guys noticed that the Babies due in July pregnancy buddies are a talkative bunch!! They are already up to thread #25 and they still have a few months to go!! I think they will beat our thread amount
-
Hi all!
Thanks for you menus so far ladies;) Lach is eating the chunkier 10-15 months jars (when we are out) and only really coarsely mashed food, but he does have alot of teeth. He sounds like he's having about the same as everyone else which is good.
Anyway, DP, DS and I went to a place called Swan Hill for a spotaneous dinner tonight. Was great! Then DP took me to the river side and got down on one knee all over again and gave me my ring:) YAY!
So we are now OFFICIALLY engaged!!! No more DP, it;s DF now;)
anys, better head to bed, gotta be up early.
P.S JAN!!!! I got your mail today! Thank you SO SO SO much for that! You are a gem! Am going to go through it all tomorrow and will let you know how I go;)
You're a superstar:)
-
Hi Girls! *barely manages to wave* I am on day three of my diet and all I want to do is SLEEP! I dont have any energy... lucky that Avaleigh is happy playing by herself. I think I might have a nap when she goes down this morning.. And Avaleigh woke at 6am this morning, so I think that is adding to the tiredness!!
Nicky - congrats on the official engagement! how are all the wedding plans going?? Oh and I love your quote in your signature! The first time I read it, it made me laugh :)
We're going to a friends wedding in January, which is in Rarotonga (Cook Islands). They were meant to have it in October but their surprise baby is due 1 month before the due that!! They were planning to start trying for a baby after they were married but werent using an precautions to not get pregnant! I hope that we can still go, we have told them that we are coming so we need to go cause venue has all been booked. Its just going to be a bit expensive.. We're looking at around $5000 for the three of us! We could leave Avaleigh with mum during the time because Mum is on Christmas holidays, but I dont know if I would be able to leave Avaleigh for a week!!
ARGH - I gotta go and change a smelly nappy - NOT WHAT I WANT RIGHT NOW especially with all the layers Avaleigh has on!
Quick question - what is everyone dressing their babies in at night time?? Its been really cold lately, around 5 degress, during the night and I have got Avaleigh in layers.. like two romper suits, a body suit and singlet. And as you can imagine, all those buttons would be annoying to do up!! I was thinking of one of those grow bag/sleeping bag thingys but the few I saw were really thin and I thought that it wouldnt keep her warm! We are getting insulation put in in about 2 weeks time, so I am hoping that keeps our house a bit warmer..
-
Hi Ladies,
I too have been really busy lately so haven't had the chance to get on bb! Ethan and I are now over the flu and i am now taking medication for my m/s so hopefully things will get better!
Ethan has now got his 3rd tooth, 2 bottom and 1 top, he keeps rubbing his tongue over the top one, it must feel strange, he has only had it 2 days. Not walking yet, he seems to have lost a bit of interest there, but he has learnt to speed crawl lol! He is now nicknamed The vacuum cleaner as he is constantly picking stuff up and putting it in his mouth, nothing gross yet thank god! Still waking 2-3 times a night but i dream feed him before i get into bed so i know i will get a few hours sleep. Okay with this atm but hope he is sleeping through when bub #2 arrives.
As for the pgncy, having a few issues with Folic acid being dangerously low, but taking strong supplements to try resolve it, and just keeping fingers crossed that we will get it better and not cause any harm to bubs. Other than that and m/s everything else is going ok, and cant wait to have our first scan.
Well im too behind to catch up with personals but will pop in more reguarly now things have quietened down. Hope you all had a lovely mothers day. Bye for now BBL.:)
-
Whoo hoo just saw an ad for Sex and the City, 2 weeks to go CAN'T WAIT!!!
Ok, sorry got a little excited there :) I love SATC I have every ep on DVD and have watched them 20 times over!!!
Ok, calming down now.
Today I had a day in the office :) Working for my friends Mum doing data entry....5 hours of straight typing so my fingers and back are sore but it was a good day.
V - Olivia cried last night at Mums for 45 mins!! But tonight we didn't hear a beep from her, straight to sleep! Its strange, she is a funny little thing :) With the weetbix, I add milk and warm it up then add banana pieces and give it to her with a piece of banana, I think she likes it more as it sweetens it up so give that a try and see how she goes!! As for the sleeping suits, I have Olivia in a really warm fleecy suit, then a extra warm fleecy sleeping bag and she has 2 blankets. Its 6 degrees here tonight so I hope this will be ok, but she is a pretty hot baby.
Well I am going to go before my fingers fall off!
Night all

Lis- Hope your feeling better!!!!! by all the excitement over the SATC movie i'm saying you are LOL
I cant wait for it either it should be great......
Bayleigh is fine after he's lil egg eating thing the other day thank god it didnt have any effect on him apart from a really bad egg smelling nappy the next day But Thankfully he was fine
Nicky- Swan Hill is just up the road from me (well kind of LOL 2 hours) Its lovely there.....
Yay on the OFFICAL ENGAGEMENT BIG CONGRATES TO YOU DF AND LACH
V-What Diet are you one ? If you dont mind me asking? Im in the process of losing wieght (lost 7.1kg in 3 weeks) Doc has put me on some tablets (pretty full on ones too i wasnt going to take them but thought i would give them a go) to help me as i was Exercising (40km bike ride 2X a day and a 5km walk) and i was gaining weight and my heart was beating to fast so he wanted to get me to lose some weight fast and my heart is beating a lot slower now i have lost that lil bit of weight...
I have cut the size of my meals down from a dinner plate size to a side plate serve and im only eating steamed vegies and a tiny bit of meat done in the george grill and an apple everyday..... (im forcing myself to eat this ) and im riding 20km a day I still have another 20 or so KG'si want to lose as i want to have a breast reduction done at the end of the year.......
With dressing Bayleigh at night he has a Singlet, long sleeve body suit, socks, Jumpsuit and like you everywhere i looked i could only find thin sleeping bags but then i went to Target and they have really thick ones so i brought one (gunna go back and get a few more) so he also wears that and then he has a sheet and 3 blankets in his cot......
TOJ- Glad to hear things are mostly well with you... Ethan sounds like bayleigh with picking EVERYTHING up of the floor and putting it in his mouth... Hope ethan doesnt find a hard boil egg that has been hidden since easter like Bayleigh did LOL
Well im off to check out the big brother site and then head to bed...

Sarah - I have started this diet called 'healthpointe'. My sister got it last year from a personal trainer. They have a website if you want me to PM it to you? Pretty much for the first 3 days you ONLY eat protein. This is meant to 'jump start' the weight loss and eliminate carbs in your body so you start burning your fat and not the carbs. And then from days 4 - 28 you start adding fruit, grain, vegies. From days 29 - 42 you graduallly start increasing your servings. And every Monday is protein only days. You are meant to take an 'energy pack' with it too, which is pretty much a pile of vitamins. I havent gotten this yet cause the pack is expensive, but I am taking some multi vitamins bought from the health store. I've lost 1.8kg and 1.3% body fat in 3 days.
I think the key with losing weight is to cut out carbs, cause that is what the body burns first. Good on you for cutting down your plate size. I eat huge dinners and it was such a shock to the system the first night cause all I had was 100g of chicken :o I also have found a website that has recipes for low carb high protein meals, if you are interested in that I will PM you the address..
Lis - haha! I bet you cant wait until sex and the city is in the movies - You'll probbaly be camping out or have you already bought tickets?!
Jess - Good to hear from you and I am sure you are going to have one healthy baby and I hope Ethan starts to sleep through the night for you soon!
-
V, could you PM me the details for the diet. Since I have started to take some anti anxiety tablets I have put on 4kg, and I want them off. I was feeling really good and healthy, but I'm starting to feel yuk again. I'm still only now my pre pregnancy weight, but I would love to loose another 5kg.
Jack, is going down at night, in a long sleeve body suit, flany pj's and going into a thick sleeping bag. But it's still not dropping below 10 at night here I don't think. Well he seems to be o.k. any how. I bought him a long sleeve sleeping bag for him yesterday, so will probably progress into that one soon.
I have my little girls 2nd birthday next week, and her party this weekend. My little girl, is getting so big. Makes me sad, but she is growing into such a beautiful and adorable little girl. Her personality is wonderful. Anyway, I have been reading up on everyone.

Hi girls! Hope everyone is well. Lots to catch up - there is lots of new posts which I like! We were a bit quiet there for a while.
Flossie - I am so so excited about SATC movie too! I have all the dvd's and just love them. I wanted to call Tom Aden because I love the name but DH wouldn't let me because it reminded him of Sex and the City. When Tom first came home from hopsital, i watched all of my dvd's again while he slept on my chest.. not much chance of that happening again .
Jess - hope you are feeling ok . I had horrible ms and it is just the worst thing so hope you are coping ok with it and Ethan as well! Let us know when your scan is - very excited for you!
Yay Nicky! Congratulations on your official engagement! What is your ring like? Regarding your question about food - Tom has 1 Weetbix with milk and pureed apple or some cinamon for breakfast and a piece of Vegemite toast - which he really just tears up and chucks all over the place! Lunch - he has half a tub of yoghurt with fruit mixed in, which I feed to him and then he has some finger food, normally a grilled cheese toast or biscuits etc. I brought some of those frozen fruit packs from the supermarket - mixed berries and a fruit salad one and I have mashed them up to add to his yoghurt. Dinner - he has some soup, then meat and vegies and finishes off with a little bit of custard. I normally put some saltanas and dried apple on a plate for him and leave it on the floor to have while he is playing but he rarely eats them - just mushes them into the carpet!
Emma - so sorry to hear about your pop. Hope you are doing ok. Tayah's little game sounds gorgeous - it is amazing what they learn to do. Tom's thing at the moment is his hair brush. He carries it everywhere and brushes peoples hair. DH is a bit worried ! Hope your prac work is goig ok - how much longer have you got to go?
Megan - how did the wedding go the other day? Did you find something to wear? How is Lucas going with his drinking? (that makes him sound like a alcoholic doesn't it..)
I like all the talk on what the babies are wearing to bed. We have had a few night wakings lately and couldn't figure out why because he wasn't hungry or wet. Have just realised it sounds like I am under dressing him and he is cold. Just went to Target - they have a sale on their sleep suits and sleeping bags. I just got a nice fleecy one for Tom and it was only $17. I will see how he goes tonight and then go get some more.
Well better be off. I know I am missing people, but it is a gorgeous day here so am going to go for a walk. All this excercise and diet talk is making me feel guilty!
Has anyone heard from Sacha lately? I noticed she hasn't been around.
-
Goodmorning Ladies,
It has been raining here heavy and non stop for hours! So its a stay inside day today, so i expect ethan may get grizzly later on as i usually take him out for a play in the afternoon, oh well :) I do have to take him to the Drs today though for the second half of his Fluvax Injection and this will be the first time i will have to hold him  and i really dont want to lol!
Mel- Hi how are you hun? I used to take anxiety meds and i put on weight too, i was also on lots of others to at that stage that "Increased appetite" & "Causes weight Gain" so i ended up putting on heaps of weight, once i stopped taking them it took 2 yrs to get back to what i was, but only because my parents thought i was to young to diet!!
Wow at charlize being 2 already, time flies! What do you have planned for her party? Hope she has a wonderful day!
V- Hows the diet going? Goodluck with it hun.
Sarah- Oh im glad bayleigh is okay after eating that egg! I hate the smell of rotten eggs!
Lis- Lol @ your SATC excitement!! Hope the 2 weeks doesn't go to slow. How are you feeling today re the sore back and fingers? hope your feeling better.
Em- Its great isnt it that we have had more posts again. Hope the sleepsuit helps tom to sleep better tonight. My first scan is on the 5th of June, cant wait! Enjoy your walk too!
Well im off for now, got to tidy up before ethan wakes and we go to the drs.
BYE Ladies BBL.
-
V- that would be great if u could Pm me that website for the diet......... thanks heaps for that

Hi Everyone
I have been just listening for a while, haven't felt so talkative but am keeping up I think.
I like hearing about the night dressing too - I also did the Target thing today Em, and came home with a blanket sleeper for Autie, though I had to get a blue one as there were no pink ones left. I don't care as long as it works for her, she hates blankets and sleeping bags so hopefully it will be the answer to these cold nights we're getting now.
Good luck to everyone with your weight loss efforts. I'm being most lazy and the best I can do is a walk most mornings, mostly just to get us out of the house for a bit. I keep thinking I should do something about getting fitter before we start TTC again but I always put it off cos I'm the master procrastinator.
I bought Autie her first pair of shoes today :) She has to have ones for 3-6m olds so I guess she's probably going to be on the shorter side like me. They are cute little brown suede ones with pink flowers and bugs - the pink volleys were tempting but I figure they're going spend a lot of time being dragged around in the crawling position and wouldn't be pink for long LOL
Mel, is everything ok? Hope you are not taking on too much for yourself study wise - take care of you. Get some Rescue Remedy - it will help, promise :)
Oops, there's the call - gotta go. Hope everyone is smiley.
-
EM - LOL we were going to call Olivia Adian if she was a boy!!! That is so funny. DH said that it reminding him of SATC but I swore to him that wasn't the reason I liked the name LOL - how cute was Aiden though?? And she goes for BIG argghhh!!!
Olivia is in a short sleeve jumpsuit under her PJ's tonight. She has warm PJ's on but not as warm as last night (5-6 here again tonight) so put her in the jumpsuit also. Straight to bed tonight again WHOO HOO!!
Sorry short one tonight, am working tomorrow and am SO tired.

HI ladies:)
Well ethan did super well with his needle yesterday, the nurse that did it was great, quick and gentle, he only cried for 2 seconds, then she had him smiling again! Oh and wuss that i am i couldnt hold him lol but lucky for me mum turned up just knowing that i couldnt do it so she did, mums are great aren't they :D
Nothing new happening here for ethan, but still a bit grizzly at being cooped up in doors all day, damn rain but im sure he will get used to it.
Lis- thats great that olivia is going to bed better, must make you feel better too!
Sacha- Great to hear from you! Is your DH still working away? Autie's shoes sound so cute, i haven't got ethan any yet but he has been given a few pairs that famliy got for him but they are all to big!
Well thats it from me for now, have to get my dessert ready and watch home and away! Then find stuff to do until Big brother comes on! Bye for now BBL.

Hi everyone,
been lurking around, just hadn't had much to say. Still don't really, although watch the amount of drivel that I still manage to pour out haha. But wanted to pop in properly to say hi.
Nicky - how's Lachlan going? Any luck with sleep school enquiries? We've instigated a dream feed at around 10.30, which works well, except when he wakes up before 10.30... But now that he's over his latest cold & doesn't appear to be teething, things have been a bit more settled. I think these things are more fluke than design though, I just wish there was a magic wand.
Lis - hopefully Olivia is still doing well with her nighttime routine. It's so exciting when you get a problem "fixed"
Sacha - yay for the new shoes. They look so grown up when they're wearing them, it's very cute.
Well, so much for proper personals, and so much for a 10.30 dream feed. Gotta go, someone's awake....
-
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! :wall: :wall:
I just want to SCREAM!!!
Avaleigh has been soooo unbareable the past few days!!! All she wants is to be held, when she is held she wants to be put down. She is crying at everything and nothing. She is biting my nipples, she is not eating/drinking properly!!! Oh man Oh man, I HATE these teething times!!! Well she better be teething cause I dont know what else to put all this down too. All the clinginess and all the sookiness - surely it would have to be teething!!
I've told Jason to go out and buy some baby nurofen - oh I hope it helps!
-
V, I just wanted to give you a hug, and I know what your going through. Jack has been the same, he has been up 4 times a night, just wanting to be hugged, and clingy and miserable all day long. I first put it down to him still overcoming the cold he had, but I think it might be his teeth again. How many teeth does Avaleigh have already? I think Jack might be cutting his top two front ones. Hope she settles soon for you. Thanks again for the diet info, I feel better just skimming through it. Can't wait to shake the kg's I've recently put back on.
-
Oh I will hug you too Mel and we will cry in each others arms!!! LOL It is soooooooooooo hard and soo frustrating. Jason just came in with th nurofen (I was at mums house all day and he has been at a friends when I got home) and he asked me if I was not in a very good mood!!! Of course I am not, I've had to deal with hell the past few days. He doesnt see it, cause whenever he sees Avaleigh she is happy to see him, but when she is with me - whinge whinge whinge!! Avaleigh's only got her two bottom teeth, so I am expecting the top two to come through - I hope they are out tomorrow!! I hope Jack settles for you soon too. No worries about the diet info and I am sure you will get those kilos off in no time!!
With the baby nurofen, can you give it to bubs even if you arent sure they are teething - it wouldnt hurt them hey??
-
Yeah definately, no probs. I was also told by the hospital you can ultinate between it and panadol every 3-4 hours as they have different active ingreadients. So if Avaleigh wakes up during the night, but not 8 hours from last nurophen, you can give her panadol. Just make sure the time between the same one is 6-8 hours. Hope that made sense.
Jack has only his bottom front two as well. Hopefully they are through for both of them over night.
Hey, how is the scuba diving going? Have you decided on a holiday place yet?
-
Oh I just want to cry with Avaleigh!! I just spoke to Jason to see when he is coming home and he said he has another 1 and a 1/2 hours to get what he is doing finished and I havent even got my dinner ready yet!!
Thanks for the info on the panadol and nurofen. Avaleigh doesnt really like the panadol one tho!!
HA! What scuba diving??!! I have been twice since getting my licence in January!! I knew it wasnt going to be easy to get out there and now that winter is setting in.. oh well - maybe the summer will be easier!!
We're going down to Margaret River in 2 weeks time - cant wait!! Its just for 2 nights, just to get out of Perth really. Should be good but will go soo qcuikly.
Avaleigh is semi OK now, goin to attempt to make dinner. nope spoke too soon, face planted in to the floor
-
Oh glad Avaleigh is a little better.
Margaret River sound devine. Are you a wine drinker? I loooovvvvveeee wine, having a red as we speak. Love doing the wine get aways. Luke and I got engaged at a windery in the Hunter Valley, was so romantic. Too bad it was the last romantic get away. But we were only talking the other day about a second honeymoon that we could enjoy, as I was 5 months pregnant on our 1st one. Oh dear, listen to me, poor mel. What a sook. Anyway, I hope you have a great time.
Sorry to hear about the scuba diving, at least in summer you can enjoy it more. Where is Jason? Luke is at work again tonight. Poor bloke has been on night shift 2 night in a row, with Charlize's 2nd party today, he must be soooo tired. I plan to stay out the morning tomorrow to let him sleep.
Hope your night goes well.

Hi all
I havent posted in ages so I wanted to say a quick hi. I dont really have time to say much at the moment - sick kids and a DH who is away!!
I just wanted to quickly say -
Veronica - could it be more than teething - maybe ears? Charlotte is on antibiotics for an ear infection at the moment and both she and Jesse have really subtle signs when they have infected ears - the signs could pass for teething and then when the Dr checks - their ears are infected. I dont mean to cause you more confusion or stress but if she has been off for a couple of days now it might be worth a trip to the Dr?? Just a thought.
Anyway I will BBL to say a proper hi.
Missing you all
Jem

Oh we have sonme peace and quiet!! 30 mins of no crying so looks like the nurofen has helped?? Plus I let her play with some of my cooking utensils while I cooked dinner and now she is happily mowing in to a rusk. Hopefully she will be quiet a little longer so I can clean up and feed all the animals. I can see Avaleigh waking up a few times during the night due to not eating much of her dinner...
No, I am not a wine drinker!! I've always wanted to go to wineries and try it out, maybe I will find a wine I like!! Each spring the Swan Valley do a Spring In The Valley thingy.. I'd like to go on that one day!! I got asked to go last spring but with the breastfeeding and all, was a little difficult.
You know, I would LOVE to have a honeymoon  We have a friend's wedding in the cooke islands in January. I am thinking of leaving Avaleigh with mum as she is on holidays and Jason and I spend that as our honeymoon. But I dont think I would be able to leave Avaleigh!! There will be another 6 month old there too, the couple are pregnant at the moment.. so I dont even think they will have much of a honeymoon!
Oh Happy 2nd birthday Charlize!!! Did she have a good day? What sort of party did she have?? Have you got any plans for Jack's 1st birthday?? Its not too far away!!
Jem - Hmmm you have got me thinking now!! How did Charlotte act?? I know that Avaleigh hasnt been herself since Thursday.. On Thursday she had a 3 hour sleep in the morning and then when we went out shopping she just wasnt her usual self. Gave her dinner when we got home and she was practically falling asleep on the chair. So put her to bed and she slept for an hour before going back to bed her usual time.. I know she has a bit of a rash at the moment over her tummy and face and gets redder on her face when she cries, so I was going to go to the docs about that..
-
V - a rash can sometimes be a sign of a viral infection. charlotte just cried a lot and wouldnt settle and she had some really high temps a few days before. The main indicator/thing was that she didnt like to lie flat - so she was a nightmare to settle which is very unlike her. It is so hard to know isnt it. Thats why I always err on the side of caution and take them to the Dr's. Good luck and I hope you get to the bottom of it soon for your sake and hers.
-
What can be done if the rash is a viral infection? Is it just something that needs to be road out?? I know thats what they said about the rash I got at the end of the pregnancy. We will see what its like in the morning.
-
I think it is just something that fades when the virus is out of their system - or on its way out. With my kids the rash has always gone away on its own when the Dr has said it has been viral. Not totally sure though.

Hey All!!
I hope all is well - I have cold feet! BRR I hate winter
Well Avaleigh has some teeth coming through :cheer: Its her top front two and it looks sooo painful so no wonder she has been so sooky lately! I got a good look at them yesterday and looks like they are cutting through - I hope its quick!! We put some bonjela on it and then I fed and cried to get her to sleep at 8pm, NOPE! Didnt go to sleep until around 10pm. She is a lot better today, asleep at the moment so I am going to make the most of this and have a shower and go outside and pull some weeds. Yes I know! Not really makng the most of it am I?
-
La La La ..... BOY is it quiet in here!!
Avaleigh is down for another sleep, has been asleep for 1 hour and I have nothing to do. I've wash all Avaleigh's clothes, vacuumed, cleaned around the house a little bit, pulled out some weeds, repainted my nails... LOL Now nothing to do except twiddle my fingers!
-
You are a busy worker bee V! I feel like I need to go clean the house now! Hope Avaleigh is ok today - at least there is a reason behind her fussiness.
I just wanted to ask everyone a quick question - how many milk feeds are you doing during the day. I assume everyone will be doing a morning and night, but how many during the day and at what time? I just can't seem to get it right with Tom..
Ok definiately off to do a quick clean and make dinner. The little fella is asleep - exhausted after we spent the afternoon at the park. I am a bit buggered too - all that swinging and climbing through the tunnels and down the slide. I really need to get fit :D
-
Em, Lach has 2-3 during the day, between brekky and bedtime.
Well, Lach's been a very grumpy little man the last few days, as teeth 7 and 8 are cutting. Poor little man.
I also got my first MCN yesterday, and looks like I might get hooked on them pretty quickly. Should save me a fair bit of cash in the long run, I don;t have to pay for water either. lol
On the wedding front, we have the Venue, celebrant, photographer, DJ, my dress, 1 BM dress, and Lach's tux organised. Caterer will be organised by friday, then its just the boys suits, one more BM dress, shoes, hair makeup decos and alcohol to organise and 4 months tomorrow till the big day.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
-
Em - Avaleigh has lots of feeds during the day!! Its anywhere between 5 - 7 feeds (including first up and last feeds) I feed when she first wakes up, and then again when she is going to go down for her first nap, usually around 9am - the comfort puts her to sleep. We will then give a quick feed when she wakes around 11am. and then another feed around 2pm before afternoon nap. And then maybe a feed before and after dinner before last feed at 7.30pm. She doesnt have much at the feeds during the day, atleast I dont think she does!! But I am exclusively breastfeeding and have a little fear of my milk drying up before 12 months and needing to get Avaleigh on to formula when she hates the stuff. So I give lots of feed so my boobs know milk is still needed!
-
Em - I do around 5-6 feeds per day. Usually one at around 3/4am, then 8am solids followed by milk, lunch at around 12ish, followed by milk at around 1.30/2, sometimes an afternoon "snack", dinner at around 5, then bedtime feed at 7, then either another bedtime feed if he wakes, or I do a rollover at around 10.30. I'm starting to think that he's so addicted to the stuff that I'll be bf when he's 15. And unlike V, I have no concerns about supply, I still leak at times.
V - Liam hates Panadol, but quite fancies Nurofen & Dymadon. The Dymadon is just paracetamol (like Panadol), but is orange flavoured. Nurofen is a particular fav - he looks so disappointed when it's finished, tries to keep sucking on the syringe to get it all out.
Nicky - you sound so organised with your wedding! Have you got used to wearing your engagement ring yet? woo hoo for the mcn.
Hey Jem - good to hear from you.
And bingo - 9.30 & someone's awake.
-
Jan - I wish I still leak!! Well actually I have on a few occassions, but thats at 6am when I am at the gym and my boobs are at the fullest.. hmm yes wasnt very good having a leaky patch while working out! My boobs feel empty during the day - nice and saggy! LOL I had my mum even comment on how saggy they are :(
