    Hi everyone

I am so happy to be sitting down for 5 minutes, its just been one of those never ending days today!

Jem- Poor little charlotte what a way to spend her birthday! And how are you feeling hun? It must have been an awful fright, very glad that she is at home with you all though. Did you get to spend much time with DH? How are your boys going?

Raels- Glad you had a wonderful day for olivers birthday.

Mel- Hi hun how are you all doing? Hows jacks hand coming along? Hope he is feeling much better.

Sacha- How cute is autumns shoe obsession!! lol I am having issues with what to put ethan in at night too! Im not worried that he will get cold as during this cooler weather i have his heater going so its never too cold in there, but the problem i have is that if i dont put him in a onesie/jumpsuit he will take his pants off and as he jumps around like a loony in the morning if he has pooed it results in a rather smelly mess to clean lol but he doesn't really like jumpsuits and HATES sleeping bags!

Tracey- Hi its great to hear from you! The year has gone fast hasn't it! Hows you 3 gorgeous children going?

Well i had to take ethan to the drs today, again as his thrush is horrendous it flared up super bad lastnight and he started bleeding from it today, so now he has to take oral drops and a cream, i am also waiting on some probiotic powder to come in at my chemist, and if it isn't looking better in a week i will need to get a steroid cream for it, which my dr is not to keen on as it may make it worse, i am hoping that ethan will be healthy again before his party in 10 days so he can have a good time. He seems to be on the mend with the lung infection though, which is great just has a bit of a chesty cough still.

Is anyone's bub teething at the moment? Ethan has been really dribbly and red cheecked for a few days and it looks like his eye teeth are on the way down, im hoping it wont make his rash worse. Anyway i best be off, im so tired and please forgive me if im not around much but the pregnant crampy hips have started at night again and im not sleeping the best, but as usual will be thinking of you all

    Goodnight Ladies.

Zy is also teething, 1 eye tooth is thru & the other is coming down now... After 10-mths of looking into the stomach issues & not being happy with just putting him on random meds (dr's, paeds etc) I took him to a naturopth & after 4 visits the boy is perfect... sleeps perfectly (5 days after initial visit & simply changing his diet)
He had to remove some foods from his diet to balance out his acid & now he can eat everything in moderation..... So I am thrilled that unlike what the medical professionals said in regards to allergies, needing meds etc he's on nothing & is a normal kid, except he's started walking & running within a week & has split lips etc... I think in my case boys are way more full on..... lol
He still breastfeeds up to 6 times some days, but I am happy with all we went through with his stomach issues & them telling me it was my milk.... pppppfffftttt to them....

    Happy 1st birthday babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all,

HAPPY BELATED 1st BIRTHDAT TO CHARLOTTE AND OLIVER!!!
    and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY TO YOU BEAUTIFUL MUMMYS!!!!

Jem - I hope little Char is feeling better! This thing that is going around is just terrible isn't it? One of the babies in Mum's group had it as bad as Char it sounds like, on her b'day to the poor thing, kisses xxxx

Sacha - How is Autie feeling after the peanut butter? I am so confused about the peanut butter. Olivia is not elergic to anything so DH reckons we can give it to her but I am too scared now.

Mel - How is Jack doing? I am sorry I missed your ordeal with him you poor thing. I hope everyone is feeling ok and Jack is sleeping better? I too like it when I get to cuddle Olivia at night but at the same time you know they are in pain - but they know when they need us so its nice.

Does anyone know anything about the 1 year shots causing autism? A friend of DH told me that is can cause it and she has now freaked me out. Also - when are you meant to get it done? Does it have to be straight after they turn 1?

Olivia has teething bad and is so upset during the day. At night she is ok, doesn't wake just has little 'pain' noises during the night that I hear sometimes. She woke the other morn at 5:30 and she wanted me so I took her in with us for the first time...and she slept on my pillow I LOVED it. Even though, I was squished to 1 corner of the pillow and had the cat at my feet it was nice to sleep with her and listen to her snore (a trait from DH although her snores aren't annoying like DH's LOL) She likes to bite my nose but today she went to fast and knocked her teeth on it and there were tears, oh so many tears!!!!

    Kisses and hugs to everyone!!!

    xxxxx

    Big Birthday Rainbows for Lucas!
Have a very happy day with your family Megan

Lis, I have heard the autism story and as far as I know it relates to the use of mercury (?!) in vaccines given in the USA. It isn't used in Australian vaccines I'm pretty sure, but I know there has been discussions on this site so maybe a bit of searching will find you more information on the pros and cons. It *is* a little scary that's for sure, but I think we are fairly safe here. Timewise, it's the same as for other vaccines I think - just somewhere close to the age they're supposed to have it, give or take a couple of weeks. The peanut butter issue is a little scary too, but I just thought 'i'll have to try her sometime' and I kept a close watch which is all you can do. Maybe better to find out now than when someone else beats you to it and gives her something without you knowing. The statistics these days are about 1 in 50 kids has a reaction of some kind.

Tracey, that's great you have Zy sorted out naturally. I think doctors need to start looking at health in a much more holistic way.

We had our first major tantrum this morning (first thing on waking!) when I took my phone off her. Never seen her so angry - slapping at me and pulling her hair. Mind you, she seems to be going through a change lately - anyone else noticed that?

My fingers are like ice in here. BBL. Have a great day everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS - have a great day!!!

Thanks Sacha, it is VERY scary all these things that people think and decide to tell you and you worry!! But I am glad that we are pretty safe here but will some more investigatin.

I am with you on the tantrums!! Its like she decided to play up now she has turned 1!!! She cracked it again when I tried to give her the bottle today but I put that down to her teeth. But when I took my hairbrush off her this morning she craked it, and I told her off for grabbing the cat and she just screamed and crawled away then turned and looked at me and cried again!!! What fun times we all have ahead!!!

    Happy First Birthday
    Charlotte
    Oliver
    Lucus

And Happy Birthing Day to the Mums!!
Hope you all had/have a great day.

Well it looks like today is the morning for our babies playing up! I've just had to deal with a sooky Avaleigh for the past 2 hours. The poor thing is putting up with everything these days - eye drops for the conjuctivitis, wiping of the runny nose and now a really flemmy cough. Poor thing is not happy! She has been waking a lot during the night coughing and works herself up so much her breathing is really fast, so I have had to cuddle her until she calms down. Jason had to bring her in to bed this morning when I left for the gym and just stroke her head for her to stay calm. We've just had a fight with her cereal and bottle this morning.. both didnt go down well and now she is fast asleep in bed.

Avaleigh spent 3 days with her grandma and auntie this week and I have been told that she went really well. I am so pleased that we dont need to pay for day care! And Avaleigh has been coming home so tired from all the playing that I have had her in bed by 7pm. AND I got paid last night and have money - YAY!! Most went on bills but I am oging to buy myself a new handbag today and then the last of it will probably be put on the credit card.

    Ok some personals...

Lis - Somethimes investigating things like that is a mistake!! I try not to read in to things too much, surely if there was such a risk like that the doctors would need to advise us of the possible risks but like Sacha said, I think we are pretty safe here..

Jessika - you seem to be having a prety bad run with the illnesses/sickness these days!! I hope that everything clears up and no one will be sick or have anything anymore

Jem - Oh no about Charlotte being so sick! Not a very good way to spend a birthday and I hope she is feeling better now.

Jan - YAY for the nights sleep!! Have you been getting more full night sleeps since then?

Sacha - Oh! Autie is illergic to peanut butter!! At least you know now and she can get tested for other things too. We tried peanut butter on Avaleigh a few months back and I was a bit worried but nothing happened to her, she loves the stuff now!!

Well better go.. today is cleaning day so I better attempt to do something cause it hasnt been done for a while cause of Avaleigh being sick..

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS

Hope you have a great day together Megan.

Quick update with Jack, the grafted skin has taken, yippee!!!! So if all continues to go well he should be dressing free by friday next week. So we should be down to just the splint and the pressure gloves once they get made. We were so happy when the took the dressings off, I must admit though, I thought I was going to vomit at a few stages of them cutting the excess grafted skin away and blotting the blood, I don't have a strong stomach...

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that a lot of our babies are sick ATM, I have another 2 to add to the list, they both have colds and Jack and I have the loo virus too Not fun.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm sure it's filled with lots of parties. Can't wait to hear about them all.

I'm going to try and upload some photos of our kids onto the BB gallery once, my normal computer is up and running again.

    Take care all.

Just quickly, here is the article about vaccines Lis. It discusses a court case in America in which the government has conceded a vaccine caused autism.

    Red face Newbie

    Hi ladies

*scuffs shoes bashfully* Is anyone welcome to join? My DS Elliott turns 1 on 17 July, same as Tom I think? I've been a forum lurker for a while, not just on BB but EB, M&B etc and really like the community style that BB has. Now that Elliott's turning 1 (OMG), I'd really like to jump into a group if that's ok?

This is more nerve-wracking than starting at a new school!!

Um, a bit about myself & my little family:
My name is Ami, and I'm 25. I've been with my DH Tim since I was 18 and he was 21, and we were married in October 2006. While on our honeymoon we discovered I was pregnant, due on 5 July 2007. On 17 July 2007 I still hadn't delivered and was induced and gave birth to my DS Elliott Trevor, weighing in at a very healthy 10lb 14oz. At this stage I should probably tell you that I'm very proud of the fact that I only had gas, and more than a couple of stitches! Elliott's been a champion breastfeeder, and is still on 3 BF's a day. For the first six months of his life he was a nightmare to get to sleep and eventually we went to Tresillian where we got some help getting him into a routine. He's a pretty good sleeper now, sleeping through from about 7pm - 7am, give or take. He has one sleep a day for about 2 hours after lunch. Not sure what else is relevant... But would really appreciate feedback or just a hi!

Looking forward to "meeting" you, if you'll have me!
