WOW CONGRATS JESS!!! Have a wonderful Christmas, what a wonderful gift

Thanks Em and Jess for your bday wishes I had a great day, spent it with my angel, then family at night.

So ladies WHAT HAVE I MISSED!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?????????

Dec is so crazy busy for us!!!

Mel - is DH home??? Will he be home for xmas? I have been meaning to ask you on FB but just didn't get around to it!!! Ok I just read he is home in 5 days that is great!! And that is SO good that Jack can read colours, very advanced I think Olivia knows pink, bit hard not to considering EVERYTHING is pink, lukcy that is my fav colour to lol

Any more pg ladies??? I hope all of you that are are keeping well

Sarah - I hope you don't have to do xmas, that is not fair for you, it should taken in turns (saying that I haven't had my turn yet hehe but we have a small house). I love your santa story SO cute!!! When we see Santa I ask Olivia if she wants to see him and she looks scared and shakes her head lol

Raels - I am really sorry to read about what you have been going through. Sending lots of to you, I hope you have a really good someone to lean on during this time xxx

Hi to everyone else!!! Hope you and your bubbs are keeping well!!

I can't believe xmas is in 1 week!!! We have had a busy one welcomg babies into the world!!! A friend had her baby - wait for it - in the ambulance out the front of her house after only 30 odd mins of labour!!!!!! Both mum and bub are well. Then a friend of ours having twins (boy and girl) were scheduled for a c-sec on the 23rd of Dec (@ 36 weeks) but at 2:30 this morning went into labour!!! As she was walking down her stairs her water broke (and her lovely house has lovely everything including lovely carpet which now has lovely A Fluid all over it lol). She went into the hospital and she was SO advanced they had to get them out by c-sect quick smart!! They are both so healthy and can't wait to see them tomorrow!! THEN my step sister in law is having her baby tomorrow by c-sect!! No-one knows what they are having so can't wait for that!!!

We have also sold our house, just last week!! We have to be out by 4th March so after NY we are going to be house shopping can't wait!!! Bigger house, more room more storage space whoo hoo!!!

Olivia is doing well, a few tanties here and there but not bad. She keeps ripping things, flap books etc I have had to put SO Many things away. But her walking is going great, she walks on her tip toes often, so cute!! We have a really good night routine down pat now and she goes to sleep with no dramas - we didn't have much but she would kick up a fight some nights. She is starting to play with her dollies, she puts them in the stroller and walks around the house, covers them with blankets, gives the water and food and even tried to put a nappy on it

Well enough of me. Hope everyone is well.
I should be back before xmas but if the crazy season takes me over and swallows me whole I hope you all and your family have a lovely christmas!!!

    Lis xxx

Congrats again Jess, so so so so proud of you.

Wow Lis, babies galore for you. How exciting. Olivia sounds like a little darling princess, I love it when kids walk on their toes, very cute. My kids love to rip paper, our poor books look terrible. I have learnt to put good books up high, lol. Yes DH is home on Sunday, only 3 days to go now, can't wait.

I go for my morph scan in 12 days and hope to find out bubs gender, if he/she behaves.

Grrr, just wrote almost a whole post & then hit something, and gorn. So have to start again, which is frustrating cos was just trying to be quick, given that I'm really supposed to be working. Anyway, here goes again.

Jess - congratulations, well done on the safe arrival of Noah. Hope that he is settling in well for you.

Nicky - yay for hearing the heartbeat, it was one of my favourite sounds everytime I visited my OB.

Em - big for your first day of day care. It does get easier, but the first few times are pretty sad. I bawled my eyes out for the first couple of weeks, even when I made DF take him, I'm such a sook. Now it's fine cos I know that Liam loves it, but I still always look forward to picking him up, it's the highlight of my day.

Mel - just 2 sleeps to go, you've done so well managing on your own for all this time.

Lis - yay for selling your house, that must be a weight off your shoulders before Christmas. Liam doesn't rip books (yet), but does have a very irritating habit of bending the front cover back, no matter how cranky I get with him. Does my head in, cos I love my books & hate to see them being wrecked. Olivia sounds so cute & caring with her dolls.

Raels - hi out there to you, hope you're doing okay.

I'm still waiting to hear from work about whether they want me back next year, which is a little frustrating. I'm 90% sure that they will, but it's annoying how difficult it is for them to just come back to me with a yes/no. Fingers crossed they say yes, cos I'm kind of liking the money at this point. Anyway, speaking of work, must get back to it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Hi Ladies

CONGRATULATIONS JESS on the arrival of your little man.

It has been so so long since I have been in here. Things have been crazy busy for me with finishing uni for the year, extra work leading up to xmas and with finally beginning the process of building our house.
Havnt had time to read over any personals but wanted to get on here and quickly wish everyone a very merry christmas and exciting new year. Hopefully after the new year work will settle and I will have more time again for BB.

    XOXO

Hi guys. I've just put a very overtired toddy down to sleep (out like a light) after a big morning with four older cousins running her ragged so I thought I'd jump on while I have the chance.

Jess, hope everything is going smoothly at home and you are all coping well with adjusting to a bigger family

Hi Emma, nice to hear from you. Sounds like you have been busy. Hope you get some relaxation time soon.

Jan, did you hear back from your work yet? I hate that feeling of waiting on someone else's decision! Have you decided on a dress yet? What style are you leaning toward?

Em, how did it go??? I know for absolute sure I would be a total mess if I left Autie somewhere. I used to tear up just watching the mums of my new kids cry when they left. Are you happy with the centre and do they welcome lots of check-up phone calls during the day? I'm thinking of joining a gym that has child care and even that makes me nervous! LOL

Mel, I think DH is home now? Must be fantastic to see him after so long. Sounds like you have a busy Christmas ahead of you! How do the kids go with long car trips? Jack is very clever to know his colours already. How is his hand these days?

Nicky, it's such an exciting time for you. I hope you are feeling better and able to enjoy Christmas. Was it you who was using the Itti Bittis? I've been using the BBH and like them, but they are a little bulky under clothes. Thought I might give the IB a go if you recommend them?

Lis, wow at your friend's quick delivery! Lucky the ambulance was there at least! Autie has started pretend play with dolls too. And she is loving the pots and pans I just gave her (couldn't wait til Christmas) Always making me 'dinner' and bringing it to me with a spoon. My sister has bought her a cleaning trolley for Chrissy, so I can't wait to see that in action LOL My goal is to train her up early...

Sarah, maybe you should just give your in-laws a list of what you want them to bring! Like you just assume that they'll want to help out...LOL The outfits sound gorgeous for the kids. It's so much fun to dress them up huh?

Megan, have you had some nice days to make up for the horrid one? And how is Lucas doing? There have been so many bugs going around. Hope everything works out with work and day care.

    Raels, thinking of you.

Speaking of bugs, Autie bought me half a small black one yesterday...I made her say 'aah' and there was a cute little bug leg on her tongue. When I told her she ate a bug, she got a little upset and started trying to spit it out. LOL Still hasn't stopped her eating things off the floor though.
She has developed a christmas tree obsession - has to run up to every one she sees and stand staring at it for a while before clapping and doing a little ducky dance in front of it and running away saying 'chi! chi!' At least she doesn't try to touch or take decorations off. She has two bottom eye teeth cutting and has been a bit of a monster with tantrums. So frustrating trying to tell if it's pain or just being cranky.
Well, this week we have dinner christmas eve at my brothers, christmas morning breakfast at mum's, christmas afternoon bbq here, and boxing day party at my sister's with all my extended family. I think I will definitely need to join a gym...or at least get a Wii fitness. I would like to be about 10kgs lighter, especially as we are no longer taking any sort of precautions contraceptive-wise.

Have a really happy, positive, food-filled, exciting-present-filled Christmas everyone!

Hi girls! I am jumping on very quickly to say hope everyone has a FANTASTIC christmas and wonderful new year!! Don't think I'll get on over the next few days or so. I might attempt to come back tonight to proper personals as DH will be at his xmas breakup. I should be wrapping presents now.. I haven't done any!

Sacha - it went really well! He did start to cry when I left, but we were both very brave and I think he had a ball. I called during the day and they texted me a couple of times. He ate all his lunch which i didn't think he would, and had a sleep (amazing considering where he was!). He was running around laughing when i picked him up so that was a great sign. They initailly had him in the babies room but changed him to the next room up and he was so much happier in there. He was a bit scared of the crawling babies apparently! So I feel good that I didn't tramatise him too much - although not even sure if he'll need to go back as after xmas/n year is over I'll be back to doing just my lovely one day a week - yay!!
Regarding the itti's - I got mine the other day and I love them. They are definiately trimmer under clothes. As much as I love my BBH's they are so bulky. I think I'll use my itti's for awake time and BB for sleeps and longer trips etc. The itti site is closed down as of tomorrow until the 6th of Jan so either order quick or I can tell you another site I got some off which apparently isn't taking a xmas break. The itti site is good because they do a trial pack - itti's come in 'sewn in' or 'snap in' - so the trial pack is one of each to see which you prefer for $49.95 I think?

Hi everyone, hope you all had a happy and not-too-busy Christmas. Ours was a little too busy and affected Autie's sleep for a few days there ( I think the sugary treats she had here and there were to blame also) but last night she slept through which was great.

How did everyone's toddies go with the whole present thing this year? Autie was totally uninterested in hers, I had to open them all for her! LOL Even when I ripped them a bit to show her, she only cared about the ones she could see were balls. She does love her singing Upsy Daisy and umbrella too. So much for all the other stuff. I think the next present will be an enclosed trampoline as she had so much fun on her cousin's - no more junky little toys - what a waste!

Em, what a relief that it all went well at kindy! That's great news! And lovely of the staff to text you updates. Thanks for the IB info. I have ordered the trial pack but wasn't sure about sizes so I got one med and one large. What size is Tom in, and what is his weight? Do you have a preference for the snap-in or sewn-in? I actually really wanted just the normal AIOs but could only get the d'lish. I think I might give some that I saw on ebay a go too ( addiction anyone?) They are much cheaper and come in way cuter designs.

Has anyone else noticed a sudden 'growing-up' of your toddy? You know what I mean, more independent, noticing things, 'getting it' more? Not being especially clear am I? LOL Hope someone understands what I mean.

I'm after some healthy snack options that I might not have thought of, especially ones that aren't too messy - any ideas? I'm afraid I have the makings of a biscuit addict on my hands...

Well, that's all I've got. Hopefully you'll all jump back on soon so I don't have to talk about just us.

Hey, Merry Christmas everyone, well, merry Christmas for a couple of days ago - after all the build up, the day just goes so quickly.

Sasha - I'm afraid this post is all for you, you've given me lots to talk about. so here goes: I hear you on the sleeping. We spend Christmas & Boxing day at my grandmother's farm, the drive to get there takes about an hour & 1/2, which was great cos Liam slept the whole way, but once we got there, he just kept going & going, then had a rotten sleep on Christmas night. We stayed in a motel, so he was 3 feet away, so boxing day saw me walking the streets at 6.30am, cos someone wasn't going back to sleep, and his father was getting really cranky with him. We do big family stuff on Boxing day as well, which is great, but not with a 17mo, cos again, just kept going & going. Then, cos he's mental, even though he was totally exhausted, he didn't sleep in the way back in the car, so we were naughty parents, we decided that as he was still awake, we'd take him to see Christmas lights. Which he just loved. Spent the whole time going "gook, gook" (his word for look) & pointing at everything, so kind of fun.

Liam sounds like he was the same as Autie - presents, schmesents. Not particularly interested, except in the very cute, but girly doll pusher that my M&D gave to him, which he just loves, hasn't stopped pushing it for 3 days. And he was given a box set of miniature Night Garden books, which he likes to read. I think that we'll be doing the trampoline thing for his birthday, he loves the one at his cousins, I don't think I know any kids who don't enjoy them, for several years, which is a much better life than most Fisher Price stuff.

We've had an explosion of words here, which is so entertaining. Mostly "B" words, which I think is common, so we have ball, bird, bus, bubble, bye bye, but also hat, car, teddy & shoes. THere are others, I just can't rememberthem. It's so cute watching them work things out.

Snacks - I rely a lot on dates, & watermelon, which Liam loves, could eat either of these all day. And cheese slices, the Bega super slices are very popular. I'm not so good at snacks, rather unimaginative.

Well, I'm trying to get my pigsty of a house cleaned up, but struggling with motivation atm. I have been putting some of the old uninteresting toys into a box to pack away, but as soon as they go into the box someone decides that they are interesting....so I have toys from one end of the house to the other. My not too strenuous goal is to have it done by NYE, I like the symbolism of starting the year with a clean house.

Enough of my rambling, someone's waking up from his sleep, so I'd better go & do some motherly things I guess.

Argghh! I am stuffed! I have just cleaned the house - read that as, rearranged entire house to fit in new toys, and packed away the chrissy tree.

We had a full on couple of days - Tom was completely overwhealmed by the christmas experience. Too many people, too much noise, too many presents, too many lollies. We actually saved a lot of presents and opened them this morning and that was much better. He still didn't really understand why we were doing it but he was ripping open the boxes, saying "Wow wow". The best presents were swingset (DH cheated and set it up christmas eve morning so they spent the day on it), bike with a handle and a mini tool kit - just like his dad's. Everything else he pretty much couldn't give two hoots about. My favourite present was off BIL - complete boxed set of all the Thomas the Tank books. Very nice - but will possibly have to be put away for awhile (we have a book-ripper!).
Sleep wise - it went surprising well except Christmas day. He only had 40 minutes because we were at my in-laws and they are SO loud. We then stayed at my sister's until yesterday and he had about 2 and a half hours nap each day - super surprised because he was just in the porta-cot. He think he was exhausted from chasing their dog around though!

Sasha - Tom is about 10 or so kg's. Haven't weighed him for a while though. I'd say 10 or 11kg. He has suddenly gotten quite tall and thinned out. He is in large for the IB's. I got one of each (snap and sewn) and I much prefer the sewn in. It is basically a AIO with an extra bit (you'll see what I mean when they arrive!). The snap in - I just don't really get it . I have ordered a 6 pack of the sewn in - they fit very nicely under all his summer clothes.

Snacks.. I am a guilty biscuit giver too . I have vowed to be good now that christmas is over and try to offer a bit healthier options. DH brought me a muffin cookbook as one of my christmas presents and it's got some great options. I am also going to try to make up little fruit salads to leave out for him to pick at as he pleases.

BBL - friends have just turned up. Lucky the house is clean! Hope everyone had a great christmas xx

Sounds like we are all doing the post-Christmas toy blitz! I've just packed up all Autie's baby toys and sorted out all her others into a somewhat organised stack of boxes in her cupboard to make room for all her new stuff. I'm going to head off to Ikea at some stage and try to get some more permanent storage for inside her cupboard, probably something with tubs and drawers of various sizes. Actually, I find a weird joy in organising chaos so I'm quite looking forward to it.

Em, sounds like I will have to get the large too. Autie is about the same weight as Tom, though most of it is in her pot belly so maybe a medium will be ok. What kind of liners do you use? I have been using some Coles brand ones but they tend to end up being bum-munched if you know what I mean LOL I am thinking some cloth ones would be better. Muffins are a good idea, I just need to get off my butt and get busy in the kitchen. I like the idea of an eat-as-you-please fruit salad but I don't think it would be appealing for long in the weather we're having. Had a laugh at Tom's 'wow's. I said it to Autie when we first put the tree lights on and now whenever I turn them on, she looks at me and says 'wwwwwwow!' You are quick off the mark getting your tree down! Think ours might stay up another couple of weeks....or so....

Ooh Jan, I love a post that's all for me! LOL On the sleeping, we have had two nights of all night through! Whoo hoo! I keep telling myself not to get excited but secretly I'm hoping that it's a new routine here to stay. We're also getting 2-3hrs during the day.
New words are coming out here too, though we don't yet have 'gook' - how cute is that?! Mostly she gets the first syllable of words but strangely, we have 'shower' quite clearly - go figure. Autie got a stroller too, and like Liam, hasn't stopped pushing it for days! She was given a Baby Alive with it (from her nana) but that usually gets tossed out in favour of Upsy Daisy getting a ride. I think I will look into some cheese slices. Usually I give her grated cheese but that's way too messy for on-the-go. I think the Bega ones are quite good quality aren't they - not fake cheese?

I took advantage of Deals Direct's free shipping and bought Autie a potty - one of those ones that you can use as a step stool and toilet seat as well. I don't think she's quite ready yet (lucky, since I've just spent money on MCNs) but it's a little exciting to think about...

Well, I guess we are officially though with Dan taking a week off for Christmas, his roster now has him away for the all-important time of the month so I'm guessing it might take a while. Anyone else planning on baby-making this year?

Sacha - I had to take the tree down - I was sick of Tom coming into me with his cricket bat in one hand, and a smashed christmas decoration in the other hand, saying "Uh oh" .

How exciting on the TTC! No news here on that front. I'll let you do it first before I brave it again!

All these new toys and Tom is in here with the box of toys I have packed up for the garage, having so much fun..
