Em, I think if you stayed away just for a drippy nose you'd end up never going! LOL As long as it's not green and nasty, I'd keep it up. Maybe the water is just giving him a good clear out? Eewww....

Hi everyone,
SOrry for being a stranger, this pregnanch has been harder on me than my pregnancy with Lachie, if that's possible. LOL
I was admitted again Thursday afternoon and put on 3 drips... fun fun fun.
Hope everyone's well. I really haven't had a chance to read anything yet *slaps back of hand*, but I will get around to it.
:comfort: Nicky, hope the hospital trip did the trick and you get a peaceful third trimester.
Nicky - a trip to hospital is a pretty good reason for not keeping up with things in here, plus you've got a toddler. So give the back of your hand a kiss & maybe a special bandaid to make it feel better :) I wish there was something that we could do to help you feel better, it's such a shame that you're not able to really enjoy being pregnant. At least you make beautiful babies so it's kind of worth it.
I can't do any more personals, cos I came to this last page without reading through the previous page, so I've no idea where we're all up to. And if I go back to read then I'll lose what I've typed. How's that for an excuse :) Technically could open another window I suppose...
Went shopping for BM dresses today. Had fun with the girls, but no luck with the dresses. Think that this could be the hardest part of the experience, cos they have such different body shapes. I want them to wear dresses that make them feel good on the day, I might start looking for dressmakers so that we can pick a fabric then make to fit. So many decisions! I'm still struggling with flowers, thought I'd picked the type of flowers, but can't find any bouquet examples that come close to what is in my head, so am thinking I might have to adjust. So I'm going to have to do a suck-up job to the florist that I want to use, and see if I can meet with her again, although next time I'll leave Liam at home I think.
ANyway, that's it for me for the time being. Have a happy rest of the weekend everyone.
Hey Jan, did you know that if you scroll down on the reply page, it shows the last 20 or so posts...;) no more excuses! LOL
The different shaped bridesmaids problem was the same for me. We ended up getting them made too. I chose the fabric and they chose their own pattern. Have you looked at flower magazines for a picture? Or on the internet? You might find what you're after there? And, btw, I don't think I'm the only one waiting on some more details...:whip:
wow Sacha, I've never seen that before. I always do the quick reply, type it in, then do preview if I want to check it out before I type, but haven't ever scrolled down any further than the submit button. So handy to know.
I'll send some details through probably tomorrow, my bed is calling me....
Hi ladies :D
Boy have i been missing bb! Sorry its been soooo long since i have posted. Things have been so hectic around here but for the first time in ages i have both children asleep together for how long though i dont know.
Ethan has finally got more teeth  in the last 2 weeks he cut 4 bringing him to a total of 10! lol i thought he was never going to get more, it does explain the extra tantrums and sad moments, poor boy. He has a never ending supply of energy, but you all probably have the same with your kids too. Had a huge scare 2 days ago, when ethan fell off of his ride on dump truck and hit his head on the tiles around the fire place and split his head open, he is fine though no concussion or stitches they just cut and shaved a bit of hair off and popped a bandage thing on it, so a bald patch, lots of bruising but thankfully was not worse than that. The amount of blood though was terrifying i dont know how i did it but managed to stay calm until i got him home from the hospital then i started shaking like a leaf:redface: i got a bit sad when they cut his hair as im really loving his curls and he has not had a hair cut yet and i wanted to keep his hair when he did, lucky for me the nurse thought and wrapped some locks up for me too take home. How is everyone going with day sleeps? i put ethan into bed each day but wether he will sleep or not he decides, if he doesn't sleep i leave him there and he plays or reads and has a quiet time in there for a bit, if he does sleep its usually an hour maybe more if he is really tired, i dont try until 2 to put him to bed unless he is real tired otherwise he definately wont sleep. Ethan is great with noah now and tries to help me with him, he gives him his dummy when he gets upset and rocks the bassinette when im trying to put him to sleep, he also tries to burp him but gets a little rough at times, the scariest thing is he now tries to pick him up!! I had noah laying in the rocker the other day and ethan was playing while i hung up some washing and when i walked in ethan was sitting down and noah was on his lap :jawdrop: I said ethan you mustn't pick noah up with out mummy's help and he replied 'noah crying mum' with emphasis on the mum lol very cute though, so all in all they get on well noah smiles at ethan all the time even when ethans watching the wiggles and ethan says shut up noah! I tell to say please be quiet noah and he says please shut up noah
As for noah he is 11 weeks now, which has just gone so fast, still exclusively breastfeed, which i am so happy about as it was very trying for awhile there. Sleep, well, it is just not happening right now, and im struggling through on 1.5 to 2hrs a night but i sometimes manage a snooze during the day if i can get them to sleep at the same time. He is smiley though when he is happy, he is a very demanding boy though. Still i love my little men more than anything.
I just got my hair done yesterday, and it looks snd feels great, was just lovely sitting in the peace and quiet at the hair dressers reading a mag and having a cuppacino then sitting in the lovely massage chair while i had my hair washed:D beautiful. Was a gift from my mum for valentines day.
Well i have run out of bb time! I should type quicker! okay ladies i will try very hard to pop back tonight for some personals, its been long enough since i last did them.
Hope your all well. BBL
Jess - Hello sweetie! I was just thinking about you this morning and was going to pm you to see how you were going! Noah sounds gorgeous and Ethan's "Noah crying Mum" made me laugh. What a great helper ;). Poor little thing about his head though - I guess we have to expect with our cheeky boys. Tom is forever getting bumps and scrapes, although *touch wood* no hospital visits just yet. Tom is still having a day sleep - he goes down at about 12.30 and sleeps 2-3 hours, so I dread the day he stops. It is good that Ethan will have some form of rest though.
So glad you enjoyed your haircut - I love them too. You'll be looking great I bet. How nice of your mum to give you a Valentines gift! It was lovely to hear from you
Good to hear from you Jess, glad to hear you have settled in well with Noah. Ethan sounds so scute wanting to pick him up all the time. I know Charlize would love it if we had a baby ATM, but not gonna happen, thats for sure.
Just quickly girls I was just getting on to update you on my sister.
As some of you might know she had a little girl, 11days past her EDD. They called her Darcee Lea. She is HUGE, 10lb 2pds, 53cm long, 37cm head circumference, 8cm feet, and 6cm hands. My mum said she looks like a 3 month old easy. But she is so cute. And looks alot like Charlize did when she was little apart from being almost double her size ;).
Anyway, I promise to BBL, I have a busy afternoon ahead.
Good morning ladies :)
Well Noah has had his best night so far he went to bed at 9.30pm woke at 2am was back asleep by 3am and is awake feeding now, he is usually every 2hrs (max) overnight! Unfortunately poor ethan has been coughing all night again, he has had a cough for 9 months now and it just wont go, i have had him to the drs about it and the last one said he thought ethan had asthma so i used ventolin for awhile and as it made no difference stopped using it, it wouldnt worry me so much except it disturbs his sleep. He also cut another tooth, after taking so long to come through they are now popping out one after the other! i am pleased though as now he can start eating a bigger variety of food and be able to chew it properly:D
Hi mel, Congrats to your sister! What a healthy baby girl, and a gorgeous name too! Ethan really is enjoying noah now and its great to see him try to play and sing to him, the current one is this little piggy, although he gets frustrated when noah wiggles too much. I bet charlize would love to have a bubba around! My niece is 2 and is so infatuated with noah:lol: she gets sad when i say she cant take him home, when he was 1 day old my sister was leaving after visiting us at the hossy and she had a tanty because my sister told her that the baby wasnt hers and had to stay with me! How is jack going?
Em, thanks for thinking of us. Yes, our boys are going to more than likely get a lot more injuries in there years of growing up! and i bet we freak everytime lol It was lovely of my mum, things between dh and i have been a bit rough lately and mum said she thought i could do with some love :D she added that i looked like i never brushed my hair lol honestly in the early weeks im sure i didnt ;) Im glad tom is still sleeping for you, ethan had a small one yesterday and im really hoping he might today, but if not the quiet time will do, luckily ethan enjoys his quiet time aswell, he loves reading!
Jan- Wow! Your wedding plans sound wonderful, you must be so busy! and excited, i am excited for you lol i love weddings. Hows liam going? Oh and is everything ok with your brother?
Sacha hi! Hows the gorgeous autie? Is dan still working away? Dh lost his job due to the financial crisis, which is a real pain in the butt, he is working again now though locally but occasionally still works out of town.
Nicky- sorry to hear you have been so sick and in hospital again. Hopefully it will go soon so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Is lachlan understanding about the baby yet? Ethan used to kiss my belly and stuff but i really doont think he understood as he was shocked when noah came home! Once he realised noah wasnt going anywhere though he has adjusted well.
Jas- Wow your pregnancy has gone fast! Maybe not to you though:D How exciting! Hope all goes smoothly for you and you have a wonderful birth. I have a little bub myself and cant understand how i still get so gooey and clucky when it comes to pregnancy and babies lol
Raels- How is FDC going? is oliver settling in a bit more now? Hopefully he is for his and your sake. Hope your inspection went well, i bet your glad that its all over!
Okay well now i have done some personals i dont feel as guilty for not contributing anymore  and i could probably keep babbling as im tired and i babble when im lacking sleep lol but noah has other ideas! A bad smelling nappy and a belly full of wind, and ethan will be awake soon and ready for breakfast. So i must go, hope you all have a lovely day. BBL.
Hi girls,
Just a quick one from me tonight. We are having major sleep issues here atm so I probably should be sleeping while I can. Oliver will not sleep in his cot anymore. He goes to sleep on his little fold out couch in the lounge room and then I transfer him into the cot but within an hour he is awake again. I resettle him, out of the bed, but still in his bedroom, but he wakes soon after putting him back in. I repeat this process about 3 times but give up after that and just put him in bed with us or most nights (I'm embarassed to admit I have only woken up next to Brian one or two nights out of the last few weeks  ) we usually end up on a mattress either in Oliver's room or in the lounge room. Some would say I have dug this hole for myself by feeding to sleep when he was a baby but it worked and it made us all happy and I could never go down the controlled crying path. I do know it will pass though but I think we will be getting him into a bed very soon. He tends to sleep sideways and he is the lightest sleeper in the world so when his feet or hands or head touches the side of his cot, bam, he's awake!
Anyway, big hello's to everyone. I will try and get back soon for personals and less of a "me" post.
Raels. xo
Raels - big  to you, the sleeping stuff is the most exhausting aspect of parenting I think. FWIW, I still feed to sleep almost every night too, and some nights are brilliant, some nights are okay, and then other nights are diabolical. And there's no way to predict what we're going to get. And Liam won't co-sleep, he's happy to grab a feed, but as soon as that's done then he either wants back in his own bed (the best option), or he wants to get up & play, which ends in tears cos not an option at 3.30am. I have gone as far as to buy Elizabeth Pantleys Sleeping book for Toddlers, but haven't had the time/energy to read it yet, so can't even tell you hints from her. She's got a whole chapter dedicated to nursing mums, which I'm hoping will have something in it that works for us. And I've got nothing from myself, except that I like to think that "this too, will pass" as a mantra.
Jess - it's always lovely to hear how you're going. You're doing well to even get on here, let alone worry about doing personals. It's great to hear that Noah is starting to give you some longer sleeps overnight, hope that they continue. Ethan sounds like he's being a gorgeous big brother. They will be great mates as they get older. Liam doesn't sleep in his cot for me during the day at all. He'll sleep at day care, he'll sleep in his cot for my mum, but for me, unless he's in the pram, or in the car, or being fed then nothing. Not even a resting time, if I put him into his cot during the day he just screams in anger. So charming.
Well, I've got chucky McSpew back in the house again. Got to within 2 minutes of work yesterday when I got a call to come & pick him up as he'd vomited his breakfast up at daycare. He wasn't sick again for me, although had a couple of quite long sleeps during the day. Thought we were on the all clear tonight, but he climbed up on my lap after dinner, had a bit of a snuggle, then bleeerrrrggh, everywhere. And then happy as larry afterwards. I'm starting to think that it might be yoghurt that's setting him off, as this is the only food that has commonly preceded each "event". So going to give him a break from it for a week or so, see if things settle down. Bit of a bummer though, as he won't eat cereal with milk, so it will probably have to be toast & vegemite for breakfast, which means I'll have to come up with something other than vegemite sandwich for lunch, cos I don't like doing too much vegemite in any one day.
Anyway, have to get off here & do a touch of house cleaning. My mum is coming over tomorrow to look after Liam so that I can go to work & make up for not being there on Tuesday.
Hi guys, I've been a little lurky lately - sorry. I'm actually doing the cloth nappy hunt (scavenger type hunt) and I've been coming across some really great sites that I've never seen before with awesome products. I'm spending all my online time window shopping! LOL
Jess, it's great to hear from you. Ethan sounds a lot more advanced than Autie with his speech. We don't even have two words together yet, let alone three! Go Ethan! It's nice that he wants to help you and feels sympathy when Noah cries. What a sweet boy. And how thoughtful of your mum to give you a treat - sorry to hear things are a little rough at home  It probably doesn't help that your DH lost his job, stress is such a mood killer. I think he worked in the mines? My DH is lucky in that he works on oil/gas rigs and, as there is always a need for fuels, we should probably be ok. It's such a hard time for many people right now. Don't worry about spending ages doing personals - it's good just to know how things are going with you.:)
Mel, Autie was 10lb 2oz! Was it your sister's first baby? (sorry if you already mentioned) How did she go with getting her out? LOL That sounds a bit funny. I was 10days overdue when Autie was induced but now I wish I'd just waited til she was ready. Maybe I wouldn't have had to have the CS. But man, carrying that much baby around - I just was completely over it!
 Raels. Don't feel bad that you went the gentle route with sleeping for goodness sake! Like you said, the bad times will pass - and I hope they pass soon! Autie sleeps crossways too, on top of her pillow  I'm trying to change things now that it's a smidge cooler by putting her under a comforter when she goes down but she always ends up squished up the other end. I guess eventually we'll have normal children LOL How's the PMT treatment going?
Jan, how's Liam doing with his chuckies? If he doesn't like cereal with milk, could it maybe be a slight intolerance to all dairy? You know how they say kids are better at listening to their bodies than us. I knew someone once who ate cereal with juice - not appealing to me at all, but each to their own. :) Better than beer I guess.
Hi Nicky, hope your not-posting is not due to the sickies still.
Autie's going through a bit of a testing-the-limits stage atm, plus teething. Everything is cause for a wailing tantrum. She's learnt how to say 'sore' and is constantly bringing me non-existent hurts to kiss better. She does have a real scrape on her knee though which she kisses better herself whenever she notices it.
Hmm, don't have much else really so I'll get back to my browsing...
OMG what's happening in Melbourne, an earthquake now????? What's up with the world ATM???? Freaky????
I'm so proud of Jack, would you believe he counted to 16 tonight ( well alternatively with my dad, dad said 1 jack said 2, dad 3, jack 4) how cool is that. I'm so proud of him. He is such a sweety.
Just a quick one tonight ladies, not feeling the best. So sad, I know, boo hoo. But I feel like crap, I need a cuddle so going to get one. But of course just quickly.......................
Jan what about Oats cooked with water. Then add a little sugar and butter for taste. My kids love it. Sorry just wanted to give my suggestion, lolx
Sacha, Autie sounds so cute, sorry I know how fustrating it can be, but it is cute, lol. They are just lucky we love to give out kisses. Yeah Darcee was her first. Mt Isa should be shot for the way they treated her through labour. Let me just say, that she was 10cm dilated at 1am thursdsay morning, after starting regular contractions at 6pm wednesday night, and she didn't have her until 6pm thursday night, after 2 shots of pethadine, an epidural, an episonamy (sp?) and a vac extraction. Unbeliveable, she suffered why the midwives argued if she was 8cm or 10cm dilated, so they have her the shots while they discussed it, unbelievebale. Sorry, vent needed, lol. My poor sister is all I can say, she is still sore from the cut. They expected a big baby as her husband was over 13lb born. Funny though they Darcee and Autie were so similiar. :)
Raels, oh I hope his sleeping has improved, maybe a bed would work better for him. It would give him extra room to move about. Both my kids, toss and turn, flip around, but they don't fall out. But they do have novelty beds with slighty raised sides so might be the reason. Anyway I hope he improves soon for both your sakes.
Jess, so glad you and your boys are well. Have been thinking about you lately, hope YOU are doing fine, please remember you can PM or SMS me if you just want to chat or get things off your chest to someone who doesn't "know you and your family" and of course will never judge any of you either. Sounds like your doing a wonderful job and your boys are thriveing from it. Take care beautiful lady xx
O.K gonna go get my cuddle, hope you all are well.
Hi ladies
Hope you and your babies are all well.
Mel-
Unbelievable isn't it! Its all been a bit scary lately.:
OMG what's happening in Melbourne, an earthquake now????? What's up with the world ATM???? Freaky????
How are you feeling today hun? Did you get your cuddle? hope you feel better.
Thanks for the offer to PM or SMS mel and your lovely words :D you always make me feel better and make me smile again  Hows your angels?
Sacha- Ethan and Autie would get on well together atm lol! Her 'sore' needing a kiss is gorgeous! Ethan just pushes me away lol independant little man he is. Not a cuddly boy really so when i do get one i try to make it last as long as possible lol
Jan- Poor liam, i hope he is feeling better. Ethan has not been resting either the last few days! He has also learnt 'No way' from his cousin so when i say C'mon ethan its time for a sleep he says No Way and runs away lol
Raels- Hope oliver is sleeping better for you.
Well we are doing ok. Noah is not sleeping and rather grumpy, but i think he is having a growth spurt and his smiles make up for it  when he is happy he never stops smiling but when hes grumpy he really grumpy lol Other than 20+ tanty's a day ethan is great, teething still. He is eating so so well, only occasionaly throwing his food away. And still being my little helper:D
Ok must go for now BBL.
Hi again:D
Just thought i would pop in and let you all know i have finally posted noah's birth story! 3 months later
Hope you have all had a great saturday.
My mum has just had her first lot of surgery and it great to have her back home, i gave her a HUGE bouquet of flowers when she got here! They have removed some of the cancer and we will find out soon hopefully if they got it all and how advanced the other tumor is, then they will attempt to move that also. Very happy she recovered well and is remaining so positive.
What is everyone's bubba's favorite tv show? ethan is still a wiggles fan but for a few weeks has been watching larry the lawn mower every weekday morning and today he was at the tv sayin "Larry, Oh where's Larry" lol i had to tell him not today and read to him instead!!
Hi Everyone! :grouphug:
I'm another one that has been MIA for ages! Finally moved into a house big enough to have the computer set up! lol.
I know I must have missed so much! More births and babies on the way and lots of other exciting news to catch up on I'm sure.
I see there is a few name changes too but I recognise everyone from their beautiful bubs, you will probably notice I've shortened my username too, I'd been wanting to do that for ages!
My only news for the minute is that Lucas has a broken clavicle (collarbone) and as he is only 19 months old I'm feeling like such a bad mummy ATM.
I'm still not married yet, but only about 8 weeks to go so getting very excited.
Looking forward to catching up with you all. xxx
Wow August, it's been soooooo long! How nice to hear from you again :D
What a busy, exciting time for you. Jan is getting married soon too. We love hearing about wedding things so feel free to share.
I'm so sorry to hear poor Lucas has been in the wars. The collarbone breaks so easily, don't feel bad. What did he do?
Jess, I must have missed the post about your mum originally. Or it could totally be my memory  My mum recently had a tumour cut out of her neck and has just finished six weeks of radiation. We are all feeling positive about the long term as they are pretty sure they got it all in the surgery. Best wishes to your mum, it's great that she feels positive about it.
 at Ethan's Larry obsession! That's so cute. Autie still loves Hi-5 the best, but she recently discovered Teletubbies and is fascinated by the baby in the sun. Also, for some reason, Mash really holds her attention...:dunno:
Mel, how clever is Jack with his counting?! Autie counts one, two over and over. Or sometimes everything is just 'four'. Two is her favourite number though, and she love watching Count von Count on Sesame Street.
I have major RSI in my right arm from all the clicking and scrolling doing this damn nappy hunt. At first I though I might be getting a heart problem - you know how they say it starts with pain in the arm? Then I realised.....:wall: What a gumby.
Dan's back today, I should really go and make the house presentable.
