Rebecca I love my baths.
My 'loss' has pretty much been gone for a bit over a week. Only very very very light. Although I am not enjoying going to the loo. I wont go into details!
Been out and about all day. We got a 4 hour stint of sleep last night I was so proud of my little boy!
Heres hoping tonight can be the same!
Well I'm stuffed. Waiting for lach to wake for a feed, adn then im going to bed.
have a good night all
Good evening everyone! Hope you're all having a good weekend (admittedly though, every day feels the same to me at the moment). Today has been a good day...Alessia decided that she didn't want to fall asleep this afternoon unless I held her...but once she was dead to the world, I popped her in the cot and she didn't wake for almost 5 hours! I had to stir her for her next feed!
Feeding is going as well as it can be I guess...I'm slightly concerned that the number of feeds has decreased quite a bit (9-11 feeds for the first few days to now 6) but she's still pooping and weeing and not screaming for more, so I guess that's just what Alessia wants for now.
Now for a Q...might be a little bit too much TMI, but I had an episiotomy and consequently some lovely stitches which have made my poor nether regions quite tender...when does this stop? It has been getting slightly less tender as the days pass, but I'd love to be able to go to the loo a little more comfortably! *lol*
Anyways, time to feed myself - my appetite has decreased something shocking so I've got David cooking up an omelette for me
Hi everyone.
Well we had our first big social outing today- A wedding!!! it was a casual affair, but was the first time I had to feed in public, no dramas- i just went inside the house and fed on the lounge (everyone else was outside).
It was nice- there were anther newborn - he was 6 weeks old, but 5 weeks premmie, so technically was a week old if you know what I mean!!! The mother and I got chatting, and we will get together in a week or so, as we both dont know much about being mummas, so should be good.
I am buggered. just waiting for Kaetlyn to fall asleep in the cot then its off to bed for me. Aaron is already there- Its a sat night and he was in bed at 9!!
Fran- I know what you mean about the appetite- I only ever seem to be hungry at 2am- its got something to do with the sleep deprivation, when you are tired, you dont want to eat.
Re stittches- I cant see from your ticker as they arnt working how old Alessia is, but my stitches were quite tender for a while. I found wearing pads helped- like coushining sort off- although some people find it makes it worse. I am now 4 weeks post partum, and they have healed really well, so will be able to DTD pretty soon. Sorry for the details.
Well the princess is asleep now, so will hed to bed myself!!!
Night night
Fran - I love your photos. Alessia is gorgeous! Lol - she is nearly as big at birth as Diana is at two months! Re episiotomy - I also had one and found that although the pain went down dramatically after the first week, it took another 2-3 before I was properly comfortable. Even after that I would occassionally get a twinge if I did something such as get out of the car in a weird way. Sorry, that's probably not what you wanted to hear...
Star - congratulations on Amelie's weight gain. It's so exciting to see out bubs grow, isn't it? Diana has gone up a size in clothes last week (0000 to 000) as well as going from newborn to infant nappies.
I've had a pretty crappy week - Diana is doing really well, but the sleep deprivation seems to have really hit me. I am so tired. On Thursday evening I nearly fell asleep in my lecture. To top it all off, I lost my keys this afternoon. Diana and I went to the shops and halfway there I realised my keys weren't my my bag. I re-traced my steps about 3 times, but couldn't find them. I rang my sister to let me into my apartment (se had a spare key), hoping that I had simply locked myself out, but no, my keys are gone. I had my car key and work key on the keyring too, so am really annoyed. I hope it's not too much trouble to replace them all.
On a more positive note, I had a friend over for coffee today and she brought her two year old son with her. She was most impressed seeing Diana wee in the potty as apparently her toddler is not much interested in getting out of nappies.
