Hi everyone
I've had quite a hard week so haven't had much time to get on and post. Yesterday I made the fatal mistake of looking through the News and Current Affairs thread. Man its a horrible sick world we live in! Is it just me or does anyone else get really anxious and upset at the news these days? Especially at items about babies or children? Honestly, sometimes I think that I am going insane as everyday things on the news make me cry .
In other news, Diana slept through the night twice in the last week (well, 10:30 - 4:00), although last night she woke up for a feed twice, which she hasn't done for ages. Luckily she's big enough now that I can feed her in lying down in bed, so I don't have to wake up too much.
I have to say that I admire all you ladies who have your bubs sleeping in another room. I get paranoid enough in the daytime when Diana is in the bedroom and I am doing something in the kitchen. I really like sleeping next to her at night. She hasn't even slept in her cot yet, except for naps during the day...
Diana is starting to reach out for things. She sometimes grabs my hair or my necklace and she bats the toys hanging over her vibrating chair with her hand. She also sometimes reaches her little arms out as if asking for a hug. Its sooo cute.
Sorry for the lack of personals. Hope you're all doing well. I have looked at your photo albums and all the bubbas are so gorgeous. I never reaslied just how amazing little babies are.
Hopefully BBL. :)

Hi everyone
I had every intention of getting on here tonight and doing a proper post but I am just far 2 tired!! Well I survived the first two days of DH being back at work. YAY!! At least it is the weekend now and I will have him home for two days. That should give me time to get on here again!
I know exactly what you mean Zofia about worrying about all the bad things that are going on in the world. DH and I were only talking about this last night and he said you cant live you life worrying about these things or else you would never go anywhere. I know he is right but I still worry.
Happy four weeks Xavier and Rebecca!!
Hi to everyone else. I hope you and your bubbas are good.
Take care and have a great weekend.

Hey Everyone
I've had a busy couple of days and have been on reading but had no time to post. Its hard now with a baby that constantly wants to be cuddled!!
Things have been going well. Avaleigh is feeding every 3-4hrs, which is kinda a bummer cause we havent managed a full 7 hr night sleep since the other week! Her colic and reflux has really settled down, which is great. Its amazing having such a relaxed baby cause I had gotten used to her being tense with drawn up legs.
We did something really naughty yesterday and bought a plasma telly, tv cabinet and sound system - whoops!! But we thought, we may as well as we only live once!! I told my mum today what we bought and she said 'if you makes you happy, then dont feel guilty!' So thats my new moto.... I might use that moto tomorrow when we go and buy a new camera!
Anyways, better get a move on and give my house a tidy up. It is soo late and I would rather not do it but I get no time to do it during the day!
Toodles everyone
Oh I forgot to ask... has anyone gotten their period back yet??? I started bleeding a little bit today and think it might be the start of my period.... i didnt expect it to come so early tho!
-
Hi :)
I dont really have time for personals as dh is on his way back home from work, he wasnt due home until next week but there was a very unfortunate accident at the mine he worked at and a young man was killed yesterday morning who dh is great mates with and the workers have been sent home to be with there families. Its terrible.
Veronica its great that avaleigh's colic and reflux has settled down. I keep thinking that my periods are going to start as i keep getting pains and stuff, but so far nothing, i dont want them yet!! I think nicky mentioned that its back for her too.
Well i must go and make sure dh can come home to a tidy house and just relax.
hugs to everyone. BBL.

YAY Charlotte is in the middle of doing her first poop in 10 days. She is grunting and groaning like theres no tomorrow LOL. SHe has been averaging one poop per week and they are massive let alone a 10 day poop - yucky. I am not looking forward to changing this nappy.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi everyone,
Hope your all having lovely weekends today. It's a lovely day up here in qld, bright a sunny. We have the river fire on tonight. It's where the light up the city sky around the river with fireworks for about half an hour and have 2 F1-11 fighter jets fly over or more commonly known as the dump and burn. It's amazing. This will be our first year we haven't had front row seats in our until on the river. But we are still only and 2 minutes walk to the river, so still should be good.
Jack has improved so much since we have diagnosed his lactose intolerance. I have cut all dairy and sugar out of my diet and put him on some lactise drops. He is back to sleeping between 7-9 hours at night, so mummy and daddy are very happy with that. But it's just so good to see him better.
Poor little Charlize has some ezcema really bad on her legs and one of her arms. We got some cream today what was on Today Tonight about a month ago. So fingers crossed it clears up soon for her.
Re the peroid thing I still haven't stopped spotting since birth, yes that is 8 weeks ago nearly 9. So hopefully that will stop soon.
Anyway must be off.
Take care all.
-
Hey Mel
the fireworks sounds like great fun. Enjoy.
So happy to hear that Jack has improved since the lactose intolerance diagnosis. yay for the sleeping as well.
We have been trying to get the eczema cream that was on Today Tonight but it has sold out everywhere in Adelaide. They arent even sure when they will be getting stock in next. Let me know how Charlize goes with the cream. Both Oliver and jesse have it and I am struggling to keep iin under control with the cream I am using at the moment. Poor things.
Have a good weekend

Hey Jem, we were lucky enough to have a friend who's local chemist still had a few jars left. But if you go onto the today tonight website and search it or I will email you a link to their website and you can order some that way and get it delieverd. I have a bottle of order too, as I placed the order before our friends bought us a bottle. It's so nasty isn't it. Have you found it is diet related. I have decided to put Charlize on Soy milk as well, as I read that dairy foods can worsen the rash. Luckily she likes the taste. Anyway will send you the link via email now.
Take care.
-
HI there all!
Just a quick pop in to check how you are all going...
VERY VERY tired here... looks as if the little guys may be developing a bit of colic....
So we had a bad night.
Veronica, yes I beleive I have already had a period. Looks as if I o'd within 2 weeks of giving birth. SUcks
:(
Hope you all have a great first fathers day tomorrow! I can't wait to give Adam his first daddy pressie!!!
Enjoy everyone!!
HUGS

Hi everyone
Diana did a poo as well as a wee in the potty tonight! Woo hoo! I am so proud of her. She is such a clever baby. :D I think that the infant potty training is beginning to work. Yesterday I went to change her nappy and it was completely clean, so I held her over the potty and she did a wee.
I still haven't gotten my period (thankfully), although I did get some period like pain the other day... Hope it stays away for a while yet.
-
HI all,
Zofia, lots of things make me cry more now than they did before bubs. I hope it's homones, i'm not a fan of being emotional.
Veronica, great to hear avaleigh is doing so well, the ticker pic certainly looks like she is, what a gorgeous smile. You need to treat yourself to some nice things everynow and then, besides how could you tell avaleigh she couldn't get dad a plasma screen for fathers day  Hey you might be able to claim the camera as a business expence on tax next year ??? just a thought.
Period, what a nasty word that is. No I'm still spotting too, but it's only been 4 weeks for me. feels like an eternity!! at least it's not painful like my period.
Jessikah that's terrible news about the accident. I bet your glad hubby is on his wayback though.
Jemima yay for surviving, next week will be a breeze now!!
Mel great to hear about jacks improvement.
Nicki, I hope it's a one off and not colic. maybe he's just had a bad day??
As for us, Xavier has now gained 1kg, grown 3cm and head size increased by 2cm since birth. and no wonder his head is growing everyone keeps saying his perfect. I think people are either just biased or being nice though.
We took a trip to ballarat today to wish pa a happy fathers day, and xavier thought he would be a perfect angel all day, so we'll see how the night goes now.
Better go and do some things before he wakes again for another feed.
Happy Fathers day daddy's !!!
(I have to remember that I need to get up tomorrow morning instead of making Nathan)
-
Hi Rebecca,
Rebecca - well done on a trip to Ballarat. Hope your night was ok. I'm out and about tomorrow so will have to BF out, change nappies the whole thing so should be interesting.
Zofia - what an achievement to get Diana to wee and poo in potty. Your persistency has paid off.
For us, we had went out for lunch today for Fathers Day - just the 3 of us and all went well. Georgie slept in her pram the whole time so there was no oud crying interupting the restraurant. Out and about for the day so will be the first time of being out of the house for longer than 1-2 hours. Hopefully Georgie will be on her best behaviour. Meeting mum and dad for part of the day so mum will be more than happy to nurse her if required. I'm also seeing a paed. physio tomorrow who will hopefully help Georgie turn her head on both directions and allow her to sleep with her head facing either direction. At the moment she won't turn her head to the right and will only sleep with her head turned to the left which has resulted in a flat side of the head.
Hope everyone had a happy fathers day, quite in here today so I guess everyone is having a busy day.
-
MUMMY MEL, I just pm'd you.
We have just spent the day in at royal childrens with Zyon...
The thoughts are that he is lactose intolerant, I want to continue breastfeeding, but can you e-mail me about the results you've had & stuff?
thanks!
-
Hi everyone,
Hope you've all had a lovely Father's day - especially those who are celebrating it for the first time.
Zofia - I'm massively more emotional these days, it's really weird. And a bit more squeamish too for some reason - I used to be able to watch any medical show on TV without batting an eye, but these days my stomach turns really easily. And anything with kids in it just makes me want to bawl, so I tend to not even watch. Am hoping that I'll get over it at some stage.
Rebecca - sounds like Xavier is doing really really well. Hope your trip didn't upset him for the night, but it's nice to make the effort for his Pa.
Bridee - well done on being out for most of the day, that's something that I haven't been able to tackle yet (unless we're visiting family, which is a bit different), Liam just gets too unsettled. And I always have to follow "out" days with days at home, to reset him IYKWIM. And good luck with the paed tomorrow, interested to hear how it goes for Georgie.
Mel - it's great that Jack's improving, and I'm so impressed at your will power with food. I'm a walking disaster - if it's junky I'm just eating it, just haven't been able to find the discipline to stop the rot, although I did make a big pot of vegie soup today, so there might be some hope.
Nicky - how's Lachlan going?? Do you still think it's colic? Liam's been heaps more unsettled too, but I'm hoping that it's just the start of the 6 week issues, and that it will be over in a couple of weeks.
V - woo hoo for the plasma, just don't tell Pat!! He's a bit keen to get one too, but I'm sticking with the lines that we don't need to spend the money on it yet given that we've got a perfectly fine tv at the moment. And it's great to hear that Avaleigh is feeling happier.
Well, that's about it for me - I'm so exhausted at the moment, cos I think I'm looking after Liam's evil twin. Where I've had a pretty easy baby for the first 5 weeks, he's been pretty feral at times over the last week. He's become really fussy at feeding time, will be absolutely starving, but just fights me when I try to get him to latch on. It's amazing how strong he can be - it would be impressive, if it weren't accompanied by piercing shrieks. And he's decided to stop sleeping as much, even though he's really tired, which means that I spend considerably more time holding him, and not getting anything done (not that I was getting much done anyway, but it's been even less). All you girls who are getting more that 3 hours of sleep at a time are really really lucky! And, the most upsetting thing is that he smiles at Pat (not a lot, but he still does), but barely gives me any eye contact at all (at least this is what it feels like), so I'm starting to think he doesn't like me, except for the fact that I'm a food source. And he's smiled at my mum too, so it's not just Pat. Have had a few moments over the last day or so where it's been really hard, cos not sure what I'm doing wrong with him to make him so miserable with me. I'm sure it's just my imagination, but it still makes me feel a bit sad, cos I just want him to be happy & content.
Anyway, that sounds like a massive whinge, it’s probably not as bad as I think it is, & I’m sure it will improve.
And 6 weeks for me tomorrow - which means that finally I can drive again - woo hoo!! The end of being house bound and completely dependent on Pat to take me places.
-
Hi All,
I second the feeling of feeling very exhausted! The past 4 days have been pretty action packed and I am looking forward to starting a new week and hopefully it will be a quiet week!
We had dinner at mum and dad's tonight for fathers day. I must admit, I forgot to say happy father day to Jason this morning! HAHA I didnt get him anything so totally forgot...
Jan - oh hugs to you. I know how you feel about our bady's not smiling at us. Avaleigh is the same! She never smiles at me and I feel like I am just a food source at the moment as well. I hope Liam turns back in to the angel he was cause I know what it feels like to have an unsettled baby - I've had one for 5 weeks now!
Tracey - oh no about Zyon being lactose intolerant. What sort of signs does a lactose intolerant baby show?
Bridee - good luck with BF out in public tomorrow!! I havent really done it yet.. oh wait, I had to BF outside Harvey Norman in my car on Thursday night! Thats as public as I have gone..
Zofia - YAY for Diana doing a poo and wee in her potty!! That is truly amazing. I never would have thought of trying that with a newborn. Well done!
Hello to everyone else! Hope you are all well...
Avaleigh has her 6 wk check up on Thursday. Its going to be amazing to see how much she has grown as we have not had her weighed/measured since she was 5 days old. She has been a bit of a screamer the last few days because she is constantly getting pulled in and out of her car seat and taken everywhere and is so tired but just cant sleep for a long time during the day. At mum's I had to hold her and keep patting her bum to settle her! Maybe she is going through a growth spurt.. I hope it settles soon cause it is really exhausting me!! She is under her play gym at the moment and very quiet, :crossfingers: she's asleep!
Well I am going to go get an ice cream and settle down on the couch. I really shouldnt have an ice cream cause I had cake at mums and I am trying to lose weight.. .but I think I will feel better after an ice cream!
Doh - I just read about lactose intolerance and it makes me think maybe Avaleigh has this... why do I reed in to things??!!
-
Zyon pretty much has screamed after falling asleep on breast, til his next feed..
After discussing it with the paed, it seems that when I drank a lot of the Aktavite drink the next day or so it started & it seems that the overload of dairy has scarred/affected his gut, so every time I feed him & have had dairy in my diet it re affects that part of his gut, & it causes pain, plus these diahorrea type poo he has had.
But it's more likely the protein in the milk that is upsetting him, more so than the lactose..
It takes up to 2 wks for the dairy protein to be out of my system, so it's gonna be a long haul..
I have stopped any dairy in my diet (as of yesterday when we had the problem diagnosed!) so I am pumping & actually dumped over 800ml of my milk last night alone! Then I gave him alternate bottles of a lactose intolerant baby formula, I guess it's still early to see a change as such..
But as we go away to Bali soon, I want to get him more settled, but once the dairy is out of my system & he's gut heals as such, then I can exclusively breastfeed again & leave the dairy out, but once he is a bit older I can slowly introduce it again & see if he is over the intolerance which happens in babies under 2!?
A girlfriend had the same thing after her son got gastro from child Care as it scarred/affectyed his gut everytime he had dairy he would vomit & be sick.
But as Zyon wasnt vomiting I wasnt sure whay he was so terribly distraught! Whether we held him or not he screamed that ear piercing painful scream 24/7!!!
Some days were better & when i oook back now I can see I didnt have cheese or yoghurt the days near there!!!
-
Firstly, big hugs Tracey. You're doing so well with Zyon, it must be so hard to see him in pain, but we all know that you are a fantastic mum and you are doing everything to help him that you can. 800mL pumped is an awesome effort! I'm trying to build up a stash for when I have an MRI next week (I get injected with an agent that gets excreted in breast milk) and it's so hard for me to get 100mL!!
To everyone whose bubs are unsettled, also sending you out big hugs. We've had a few busy days here. Alessia has decided to (apart from cluster feed almost ALL day!) stay awake for long periods of time...she'll just lay in her cradle and watch the mobile...or lay in the port-a-cot and watch the TV out the corner of her eyes! She's such a cheeky bum! I can't complain though, she had an awesome sleep last night...went down at 11:30pm and woke up at 6:00am...it was great, but again I got a bit sad when David went off to work today...boy I'm a sook!
Breastfeeding wise, my right nipple is trashed...I've rested it for 2 days and just pumped from that boob, but it hasn't improved...I don't know what to do!
-
Fran, just keep pumping from that breast & leave it out of your bra to dry & heal, rub some expressed milk on it & just let it air dry...
It will get better, says me who is having a crap time & everyone's telling me it will get better!
If Alessia is feeding heaps more she is building up your supply, so I'd let her feed as often as she wants too, then you'll notice that when you pump you'll get heaps more.. I get about 150ml in about 3 mins of pumping 1 breast, but I know Zyon was cluster feeding last week..
Good Luck, breastfeeding my last baby is SUPER important to me ATM!
-
Tracey sorry to hear about little Zyon. But like I first thought with Jack at least now we can work on getting them better IYKWIM. It will be a week on wednesday since Jack results came back, so hopefully we will start to see some big improvements soon. Like you said somedays he is better than others. But I have now cut out all dairy from my diet and Jack in on lactise drops. Have they put Zyon on a lactise supplement?
So I guess if after two weeks with me off dairy and him on these drops if he is still now any better we might have to look at lactose free formula, but fingers crossed we won't have too. How is the supplement feeding going? that must be exhausting, how long will you have to do this for. My doctor didn't tell me to do this but Zyon sounds much worse than Jack is ATM (poor little guy). I will message you a little later:)
Jan, hugs babe. Sounds like your going through a tough trot ATM. I hope he goes back to his old ways soon. Just out of curiosity, is his mouth coated with a thick white substance like milk? Just thinking that the issues with feeding sounds similar to those a friend had when her little girl had thrush in her mouth. Just a thought though, I don't want to scare you or anything. I just know it wouldn't be you. I also know that when Jack goes through a growth spurt he is fussing on the boob. Hope things improve today though and you get lots and lots of smiles:)
Rebecca, yey on the big weight gain!! You must be doing a fine job there.
Zofia, little Diana sounds very talented on the potty, good on you for being persistant with it.
Veronica, it's because your a loving and caring mother why you think Avaleigh might be lactose intolerant. It's perfectly normal for you to want to make her better IYKWIM. As you know I always thought Jack had colic. It wasn't until I took Jack to my doc for his 2 month needles that she noticed his poos, and moaning and growning that she though it may have been this. But I was always told his poos were normal my MCHN. He would always have poos in his nappy real wet froffy ones that smelt really sweet. And he would always be unsettled after a feed with bad wind pains (which is why I thought it was colic). And then sometimes he would have big vomits as well. Which I now know the pain was caused by his bowels struggling to digest the lactose. Which pretty much would feel like when we get food posioning and then the runs. Poor little thing hey. The bad thing is though, that all this going on for nearly 8 weeks could have left him with bowel damage. Hopefully this isn't the case. Hopefully he will be completely normal in about a week and a bit. But if not I need to take him back to see her, so she can see if it's still under control that is causing the pain or wheather it is bowel damage that is causing the pain.
Bridee, fingers crossed you get some relief for Georgie from the physio today. Can't wait to hear how you go.
Anyway ladies, must be off. Jack is just waking.
Hi to everyone I didn't have time to say gid'day too. BBL
Take care.
-
Mel I was told by a GP & MCHN that his stools were fine too, but I never really believed them & I am angry, annoyed, upset at myself fore not trusting my instincts!
Having stopped all dairy does Jack seem better & what is the lactise (I'll google it!)
I was not told it can harm their bowel, infact the paed told me other than causing a tummy ache it wont harm him??
Can you let me know about the lactise & also what your doing to have calcium in your diet still???
Thanks heaps!
-
Hey Tracey - what sort of dairy stuff are you taking out of your diet? I might see if I can do the same and see if it helps settle Avaleigh a little better as I heard dairy can cause reflux.
Mel - Avaleigh used to have those frothy poos when she was about 2 weeks old but she doesnt have them anymore. I think I am going to ask my doctor for a referral to see a paed at our next appointment with him. Nothing has really improved since we went and saw him at 4 weeks so I would like a paed to have a look over Avaleigh and hopefully get her in to a much happier baby. Dont get me wrong, she is happy and the Brauers mixture is helping, but I know she can be much more better.
Well it is meant to be 27 degrees today so the plan is to have a shower, feed Avaleigh and take a walk to the beach. I think its going to be a pretty long walk so I will need to take water for the dogs and I might even need to feed Avaleigh somewhere along the way. I wonder if my pram will be able to go on the beach sand cause I know the dogs will want to have a swim in the water when we get there.
Well better go and have a shower while Avaleigh is occupied under her play gym and not crying!
-
Tracey, the lactise is the bacteria that breaks down lactose. That is what our little boys aren't producing enough of. The drops he is on is called Lacteze, I just picked them up without a prescription from my local chemist. The drops are made of glycerin and lactise. HTH. Re the calcium, I'm still taking the blackmores multi vit. but my chemist told me to take extra calcium tablets just incase. Jack is still in alot of discomfort but he has improved alot since I have stopped my dairy intake. So veronica, I'm now on soy products only and I have also cut down on my sugar intake. He is back to his 7 hours night sleeps just still very unsettled during the day. But definately a big difference already, just fingers crossed it continues this way.
-
hmmm I think I am definitely going to try and get rid of dairy in my diet.. I dont have much dairy I dont think.. I have milk with cereal and I would say that all... Oh and milk/butter in mash potatoes, the occassional ice cream... so I dont think I really have much dairy in my diet. the one thing that I am really sus on is the rash that Avaleigh has had for maybe 2 weeks now.. It started on her face and it now down on her neck and chest, has any one elses baby had it real bad?
Mel - how are you finding the taste of soy?
-
Sorry guys I'm stupid it's not lactise its called lactase, sorry.
V, soy's not too bad. The icecream is yummy
-
ok so lacteze you can get from chemist? i will have a look at these today too... he only sleeps for like 30 min periods in my arms...! the rest of the time he is screaming...
-
is this the one you add to expressed milk?
-
Hi all,
Bridee, good job on going out for lunch. How good does it feel now to go out especially when bubs is quite the whole time.
Tracey, oh no, poor little zyon, but at least now you know at least you can work on fixing th problem. I think there is a fresh soy milk now that is fortified with calcium too, just at the supermarket with other milk.
Jan, hopefully it is just a growth spurt and you will have your little angel back soon. at least until the teeth start coming in
Don't feel bad about not getting smiles. Neither of us get proper smiles. the only thing in our house that gets smiles is the aero plane mobile above the change table. And when I try to join in and play with him when he smiles, he gives me a look, like what are you doing, no one invited you to join in and play. There will come a day when all they want is mum, and then it will be dad, and then there will be a day when it's nan. but they will always come back to mum!!
Veronica, I hope avaleigh isn't lactose intolerant too, although it can't hurt to try changing your diet and seeing what happens. I too have read some of these posts, and yu can't help but wonder. 'cause Xaviers poos always smell a little sweet, but frothy I'm not sure, they are runny way tmi huh, but I have been told they are normal bf baby poo. The comforting thing for me though, and sorry ladies, we are not up all night screaming. So I strike that symptom off my list.
Fran, it sounds like you are doing well still, I'm with tracey, just hang in there, it will get better soon. Is your cream still working? and what tracey said about letting them air too, I have found I do much better if i can just let it all hang out, 'cause sometimes my nipples are too sensitive to wear a bra, 'cause it just makes them sore. I'm planning to head off and get a crop top style one soon to wear to bed, but I've never seen any that fit big boobs, so we'll see.
Mel, there is no stopping this kid from growing. People keep trying to tell us that he will be tall, but I'm afraid genetics is against him there. I think he's just a proper little man who has already set his priorities to boobs and food, and well they come in one neat little package right now.
I've been wondering what soy ice cream tasted like, as I eat far too much dairy, but I don't want to give it up. Plus I eat far too much ice cream, probably not good for the waste line, maybe I could ween myself off on soy ice cream.
Well I'm sorry to hear none of you have been sleeping very well. We had a lay in yesterday, it wasn't a sleep in but it sure helped out my headache. I never had headaches before I ended up overdue and my bp went up, so fingers crossed they aren't connected. I think what is really happening is that my body is having sugar withdrawals, because I too have been eating nothing but rot. I felt a lot better after my hungry jacks I had for lunch yesterday. But I'm not as strong as mel, I don't think I could cut the sugar.
Here's hoping things start getting better for you all.
Have a good day??
-
HI there everyone,
seems you have all been very very busy with bubs over the last few days. Lach had a great night on sat night, and a reasonable night last night.
I am giving him wind drops with his night feeds and he seems to be a bit better.
He isnt sleeping as well as everyone elses bubs... very jealous!
He seems to wake after about an hour during the day, but I just pop his dummy in and he drifts off(usually).
Jan - i hear you on all accounts!! Our boys sound as if they are doing the same things. I too get no more than 3 hours of sleep out of the littlie... hopefully this changes very very soon.
Rebecca- I was having headaches on and off every day until early last week. I saw my doc about it, who wanted me to keep an eye on things until my 6 week checkup. Hopefully they go for you. I found that not even panediene was working for me:(
Well, I have started the logistical nightmare of packing for Lach for our 4 day trip to Wagga on friday. Its a 4- 4.5 hour drive, so I am hoping only one feed no the way up if we time it right;)
I have written out a whole A4 page of things we will need. I hope Adam and I don't need much, or looks like we may be walking atound wagga starkers for a day or 2!!
Fathers day here was fantastic. I even got a couple of tears from Adam, after he read his card from Lach and I, and got his pressies! And we gave them to him at 1215am, as I couldn't wait any longer to give them to him!
We went to Adams parents for the day, which is an hour away. Lach met his great grandparents for the first time. Little guy was smothered with love all day. hehe
We went to the house we will be moving to in the next few weeks, and its almost ready to go. Just having a few floorboards replaced. I can't wait! It's such a huge house, I will lose Lach when he starts crawling!
Anywho, time for my hotdogs ( another who is eating junk! who has time to cook nutritional meals anymore? ).
Have a great day all.
Hugs
-
Nicki, I don't think my headaches have been that bad, I didn't even bother with the pain relief for them.
Xavier and I were up after midnight on sunday morning too, and Nathan got home from playing nerd games so he got his fathers day presents early too.
I hope you have a good trip to wagga and hope you don't have to walk around starkers. Well at least you won't know many people if you do ;)
-
Tracey, yes it is lacteeze. My doctor first said lactaid, but I can't find that one, I don't think they sell it in Australia anymore. It says to add it to ebm but my doc said to just put one drop or two on my nipple before each feed.
-
Ok so I will go find this lacteeze stuff, I figure it's all worth a try!??
I hope we get results before we leave for Bali!!!

Hi All,
Well went to the paed physio today about Georgie's not being able to turn her head to the right and her flatted sided head. I have so many exercises to do with her, most of which look really uncomfortable for her but it all about stretching her neck and back muscles. I have to start sleeping her on her side during the day, which makes me kind of nervous (since SIDS recommends back sleeping) but physio did reassure me it was ok. Have another appoint in 2 weeks, physio said we should be able to notice a difference by then. So all of Georgies awake time will be spent on these exercises, the plus side is I expect by the time we are done with the exercises she will be so tired she will go straight to sleep (well I can only hope).
Question: my milk suppy seems to have increased over the past couple of days, I was expecting around 6 weeks it would settle but if Georgie goes over 3 hours between feeds my bb are so hard. My bb are also increasing in size as a result - I use to be a b cup, now a d cup and I think I would just about to go up another size. Have others milk supply settled yet or still excessive?

Bridee- my BB last week were so full all the time- but she was draining them at each feed- I think she was going through a growth spurt, it seems to have settled down again now.
I am glad to hear that all the sick bubbas seem to be slowly sorting themselves out.
We are going great at the moment. We are getting heaps of little smiles and giggles already, which is soooo much fun. Everytime we put her in her rocker, she gives a couple of smiles and giggles. She even smiles at me at nappy chnage time!!!
Am using cloth nappies at the moment during the day when we are not goin anywhere! It certainly is different! I am having fun experienting with different folds, and inventing my own origami folds!
Well that about it, except our broadband is crap- it had died again- so am on dial-up unitl the new modem arives from a different carrier. so wont be on here much as it is just way to slow!!! hopefulyy will be back on line again in a couple of days.

Hey everyone
Avaleigh has had a good day! She has slept pretty much the whole day - YAY! I think she goes through a cycle where she will sleep during the day for a day or so and then will go to not sleeping during the day cause I remember last Monday she slept during the day. We didnt manage our walk today because she was sleeping, thought I would take hold of the rare moment and relax a little bit.
Bridee - I dont think my boobs have settled either. They are still getting really full and I remember last week I was filling up my breast pads like I was at the beginning! I think our boobs are jsut going to be going through cycles cause of the growth spurts.
Sara - Avaleigh gives me smiles an nappy change time too!! It is soooooooo cute. I must say that whenever Avaleigh smiles it brings tears to my eyes!! I love her so much.
