Tracey - hope you have a great time!!
Well I am exhausted after today - so is avaleigh!! We only went to 2 wedding dress shops and that was enough!! The first shop I must have tried on 20 dresses cause the lady just kept on bring them in to me, the second shop I only tried on two. But have decided on what one to get, its really nice and different and they are made to order so I am going to make a few little changes. I think it has just now hit home that I am getting married!! OMG I really didnt think Iw ould be getting married so quickly.. So I am really getting stuck in to losing some weight and working on my tan! I dont need to stress too much about my weight cause the dress I got isnt figure hugging, its gone some puffiness to it!! I really didnt think I would go with something puffy LOL
Avaleigh was great while we were out. Decided to do a big stinky poo but luckily we were going home!! LOL She is asleep in her bassinette at the moment. I am having a real hard time getting her to sleep in the cot... she goes down asleep but wakes up 5 mins later! Dont know what to do and cause I am so busy lately I only try her in there once a day and then I am home in the evening and she is in her bassinette.. need to try it at night soon.
I better go russle up some dinner.
Hey V - how totally exciting that you are shopping for wedding dresses. It is sooo much fun isnt it and how great to find one tht you love on your first outing. I cant wait to see some photos of this wedding in I think 92?? days time!!
I have tonsilitus (sp?) so I am sorry for no personals. I am feeling very very fragile although on a positive it is doing wonders for post baby weight loss as I am too sick to eat LOL!! Not the best way to lose weight I know.
Hope you are all well.
I will BBL and say hi properly.
Jem

Hi all,
Jesikah, you sound exhausted. I'm sorry to hear about the pnd, that was and I guess still is a fear of mine. Have you visited the PND threads, there are some very supportive ladies in there.
Have you got a sling or baby carrier of some sort, I find that helps Xavier get more than half hour of sleep when he's playing funny buggers
Tracey, have a great time, we expect pictures!!
Veronica, yay for the dress shopping, it's great fun huh? Have you tried putting avaleigh down to sleep in the cot for her biggest night sleep. That seems to be the least fussy time for xavier, he just knows its bedtime??
Jemima you poor thing tonsillitis!! no fn at all. Get well soon.
Hope you all have a good sleep tonight.
Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole day and none of you have posted in here.
I hope everyone is doing fine.
Xavier slept from 8.30pm till 5.20 am this morning. almost 9 hours. I actually woke at 4.20 and had to go and check on him. I ran back to bed once I realised he was fine.
I hope he keeps doing this.:pray:
Hi there girls.
Spoken to MCHN and lact consultant.... My milk is just too much for him to handle at the minute.
They said it seems to be coming out way too fast for him... and hitting the back of his throat. He does not like it at all... and now that it has been happening for a few weeks... he is expecting it. So, I am using nipple sheilds when he is fussy, expressing and making sure I have one bottle to go at all times in case he wont take with the sheild. But it seems as if he is getting better. I went and got some fast flow teats, and he is getting used to it. He has fed 4 times today just from my bare nipple... a little fussy, but nothing like he has been. We have also been getting longer sleeps out of him... and happy to report that we got 6 hours in between feeds last night.
I now realise that he is just a people person, so we will be co sleeping with him if he wont sleep in his cot.... just so we can get some sleep aswell.
He has been pretty good over the weekend.
Just thought I'd pop in and let you all know, that we are going ok now. Hopefully things start to get even better.
Thanks for help and concern:)
Cheers
Hi everyone
We've had a fairly busy weekend. I went shopping yesterday with Diana and my sister. It was lots of fun as its been ages since I've had a chance to do anything like that. It was going to be an expedition to get clothes for Diana (and she got lots - will post the pictures in the next day or so), but I ended up getting some new shoes for myself too. Yay. I also bought Diana a swimming costume and a hat, and also ordered her christening dress. (So have no money left until payday, lol.) My sister bought Diana a pretty dress that she can wear for my wedding later on this year (she's going to be flower girl - if she can hold a flower in her hand by then that is, lol). Diana didn't sleep much during the day or during the night last night either. I think she woke up for about two or three feeds.
Today the weather was really nice, so Stan and Diana and I went for a long walk around our neighbourhood. And this evening I got some good work done on my assignment. So I'm really tired now. (And I just realised that I have done no housework this weekend, other than the laundry. Oh well, never mind. :p)
Jemima - hope your tonsilitis gets better soon.
Veronica - yay on choosing a wedding dress! How exciting. I am getting married in November, but as its my second time, it's only going to be a very small affair. So hopefully I won't steal your thunder when you post all your exciting wedding preparation news here. :)
Jessikah - hugs :hugs: Hope things get better for you soon. It's great to hear that Ethan is smiling, isn't it? They're so cute when they start to do that. And I know what you mean about him being camera shy. Diana is like that too and always pulls funny little faces rather than giving big smiles.
Tracey - have fun on your trip.
Mel - glad to hear that Jack is better. :) Hope your open house went well.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you all had a great weekend.
Nicki, yay that feeding is going better now. I hope it continues to get better for you.
Have you got anyone that you can call when your having a stress day.
Let me know I'll give you my mob number if you want. Not that I can get anywhere with any sort of speed, not driving at all lol. Sometimes its just nice to know there is some one around.
Hi All,
No news here, except that the gown is going really well, but the overlocker broke the other day :(. not sure what happened one minute it was fine and the next, its not sewing:doh: will have a look at it when I am not so tired.
Am reading your news regularly, but nothing to report.
Except I have been having big let downs of late- I am not sure if they have got stronger or me just noticing them more.
Well off to bed, my grand plans of folding, ironing dusting and vaccuming didnt go to well today- all I got done was the folding:rolleyes:
Iam planing on getting up early tomorrow to get dusting and vaccuming done after Kaetlyns first feed cause she always goes back to her cot for another sleep:p. Watch now that I said that she will stay awake tomorrow morning, which is a bummer cause I have some friends from work coming over for morning tea.
I am really tired now so will get to bed- I seem to be addicted to smilies tonight - opps this morning
Goodnight all....will do some personals tomorrow sometime
Tears ~ How are you? Are you ok? :hugs: It must be so hard for you having DH working away it sounds like you are doing a great job. Being a new mum can be overwhelming at times and it would be hard not to have that back up when you need it. Good on you for discussing things at your checkup. How is Ethan, and how is he going with his feeds now?
Now that Alessia is down for the morning (hopefully!) I'll attempt some personals.
Sara That photo of Kaetlyn is so cute!!! I've mostly got Alessia dressed in Bonds suits so I'm looking forward to when she grows a little more so she can wear 'proper' clothes. Hope you enjoy your morning tea :)
Bridee I hope Georgie is going well with the brace. You sound like you're coping really well which is excellent *hugs*
Rebecca Just replying to your question about bathing babies - we generally try to give Alessia a bath everyday, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way! We were told every second day is fine by the hospital - I like to give Alessia her bath at night time to help calm her for her evening sleep. Well done for Xavier sleeping so well!
oops little one has woken - argh! Will be back later to finish
Well Kaetlyn managed to stay alseep which was great. I had vaccumed, done somewashing and majoirty of the ironing before I had to wake her for a feed:clap:
Morning tea was nice, altough when you are home all day by yourself, an hour visit just flys by and its upsetting when they leave- its like they just arrived. They brought more pressies, which was nice!
I washed all of Kaetlyns summer clothes this morning. I hadnt washed them as I wanted to make sure she would grow to fit it to them, and it seems that she will :D there are some really cute summer outfits that people have given us. i just want to but her a summer hat.
Rebecca- we only bath Kaetlyn every second day- mainly cause she dosent do anything all day ;) I top and tail her though if she is particully 'messy'. She has really dry skin, so paediatrician said bathing 2nd daily will help combat this.
Well I am off for a rest, it is sosoooo windy outside today. I was going to go to shops but I think i might get blown away. Might do that tomorrow as I dont have anything planned for then.
Oh and just a funny tid bit from me!!! Kaetlyns socks are so small I keep losing one so I dont have matching pairs :wall:. I think they fall through the holes in the washing baskets and the dogs get to them. Soon she will have no pairs to wear and they will all be odd socks!!!!
Hi all,
thanks for all the answers on bathing. it seems that we have progressed to showers as long as nathan is doing them lol. I hope that doesn't backfire later and he refuses baths.
sara I can't wait to see a pic of this gown. Hope the over locker is still working, maybe it's just got a small jam or something. Glad you finally got your hosework done.
We are planning to try and walk every day now. I've removed the ice cream and chocolate (so far) and now the exercise need to begin.
bye
Have put some pictures in the gallery- sorry bec none of the gown- will wait for the finished product!
Hello Ladies,
Well its a case of "now you see me, now you dont" LOL!! I just popped ethan into bed and thought i'd come on here and catch up with some personals again....but ethan must have known as he is awake again!!
BBL :)
Hi everyone,
Am so far behind with everything that's happening here, I seem to have almost no time to myself at the moment. So I thought I'd grab a quick moment before he wakes up to drop in & say a quick hi.
Not much happening from my end of things. Starting to be a little frustrated that Liam doesn't appear to be close to sleeping through the night, if I get close to 4 hours then I've done really really well. Plus he's developed feeding issues - he just fusses at the breast most of the time, likes to have about a minute, then screams to sit up, then wants to go back down again, then screams... we can do this for 20+ minutes on the first side alone. Then he'll often want to go to sleep without having the second side, but only sleeps for about 30 minutes (if I'm lucky), then wakes up yelling for more food. MEN!! It's playing havoc with my supply, especially overnight. Sometimes I wake up & feel like I'm exploding, or about to. And then, when I try to get some expressing done (in preparation for the wedding we have to go to in a couple of weeks time), he always seems to know & won't settle until he's drunk everything I was going to express. Oh, and whilst I'm on the whinging train, he has a couple of really dry patches of skin on his ankles, and on his hands & a bit on his face. It looks like eczema, but it doesn't appear to be irritating him, so I'm hoping it's not, but it worries me a bit. We don't use much on his skin (QV oil in the bath is about it & Dermaveen to try to fix the dry bits), so can't imagine it's anything that I've put on him, but it's perplexing. I wish these kids came with instruction manuals sometimes!
Anyway, for not having much going on that was a bit of a rant - apologies for the whinge, especially as in the scheme of things I'm having a pretty easy time compared to some. Although it doesn't always feel that easy!
Morning Everyone!!
I am going in to get measured for my wedding dress today. I will try and take a sneaky pic of it today so I can show you all!!
We had a successful night with Avaleigh in her cot!! She slept from 9pm to 4am as well!! What a great sleep hey! I went in and checked on her at 2am cause I hadnt heard anything in the baby monitor and she was fast asleep. I got a nice surprise this morning tho when I went in to get her for her next feed - some how she managed to get one of the velro tabs off on one side and did a huge poo and wee and managed to get it all over herself AND the mattress! ARGH! I knew I should have kept the protected side up cause then I would have just need to wipe it up, this has now gone through it :(
jan, you sound like u are having the exact same probs as i am with lachlan.
cept he wont sleep anywhere but in our bed at night.
i dont think he will ever feed properly.... always winges and fusses...:(
seeing MCHN today, so hopefully can get some help with it all.
hope everyone is well.
Hi all,
Veronica, yay on the wedding dress. It's so exciting isn't it. When I had mine altered I'm such a short a$$ that they had to cut more than 10cm off the bottom, and that was with stillettos on, lol
Jan that sort of fussing sounds like what xavier was doing a few weeks ago. I think, but am not sure, what happened is he became over tired, and was having short kips, but only in my arms, and then wanting to feed constantly. I found wearing him got him to sleep for longer than 30 mins, and after a 3 hour sleep during the day he would have a proper feed and then go back for another reasonable sleep (in the Hug a Bub) and so on. I did it for 2 days and it seemed to help his patterns. I have also noticed he now chooses what time he is starting his night sleep, but if I put him to bed when he chooses he does sleep for at leat 7 hours now, but if I try and change it to what I want, no way man.
Sara, what a little cutie, I love the froggy, and the spikes.
Hey lovely ladies,
Can't talk long, very tired tonight.
V, I hope you were able to take some photos, can't wait to see them if you did.
Jessikah, I'm so sorry to hear about the PND. I hope you feel better soon, and don't forget we are all hear for you if you need us.:)
Jane, I hope Liam doesn't have exzema, it's just terrible. Charlee had started out very similiar. She had it only on one elbow, and now it is all over hers legs, arms and some on her belly. I would get it looked at sooner rather than later. The MCHN always told me not to worry about it, but I just can't help but feel that I did worry sooner, it might not be this bad now. But maybe there is nothing more you could do than natural creams at the early stages, I'm not sure. I'll just have my fingers crossed for little Liam it isn't exzema or it doesn't get worse.
Zofia, yey on the shopping trip. When you say my wedding do you mean your wedding? I thought you were already married:doh:
Jem, I hope your feeling better soon.
Sara, I love the froggy too! Charlee used to have a cow that she loved, until we lost it in Hawaii:doh: I hope froggy lives a longer life;)
Rebecca, OMG on Xaviers big sleep. You must have felt like you could have run a marathon the next day, what a smart little man.
Hi to anyone I have missed.
We are much better. Mine and Jacks colds are still hanging about, but we are alot better and Charlee seems to be nearly all better, so that is good. You won't believe this but I have finally stopped spotting after giving birth:dance: Can be believe it 12 weeks of spotting, was driving me mad. After nearly 3 years without a period, I was utterly bumbed!! Hopefully they won't return now for another 3 years;) Anyway I'm off, I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo tired.
hey everyone
The wedding dress is getting made!! We took some photos, jsut gotta wait until my sis goes back to sydney to get them off her camera.
YAY!
Well, I'm half sane today.
had the best sleep we have had since we became parents. Although I still feel tired! lol
So co sleeping is def the go for us. Lach seems to be able to go at least 4.5 hours in between feeds at night, which is a big stretch from before.
He is also feeding a little better I think. He seems to not be so fussy, and completely emptying one breast, and not really wanting the other. I will continue to offer the second side and maybe he will take it.
I wore him for quite a few hours yesterday, and he loves it! Thankgoodness for the sling! It's a little back breaking at times.... but much easier to get things done!!
I wore him to y first time parents meeting yesterday and everyone loved the sling. A few headed out to get it afterwards. I thnk I was the only sling mumma in the group up until that point.
anyway, now that I have half a brain, I will attempt personals.
Veronica - YAY on the wedding dress. I must admit, every tme you mention you are getting married, I get a little jealous! hehehe Oh one day........ lmao A girl can dream.
I hope that all your plans are coming together and it is a spectacular day for you:)
Mel - Glad to hear you and Jack are feeling better! I am worried about getting sick here. I dont know how I would cope with a sick bubba! I guess its inevtable though. And eeek, spooting for that long!! Bugger. Hopefully you are now AF free for a while!! lol
Rebecca - Thanks heaps for your offer of help! I appreciate it. We will have to swap moby numbers and meet up one day. I hope that I can be of assistance to you in the future:)
I am very jealous of the amount of sleep xavier has!! hehe Hopefully Lach will grow into it soon. You really sound as if you have everything sorted.:)
Jan - I beleive our little men have conspired against us!! hehe I hope that Liam starts sleeping well for you soon. And hopefully the excema type stuff goes away.
hugs.
well, now that I am on a roll, lach has decided to crack the sads. Hopefully I can get back on later to finish personals.
Cheers all.
Morning everyone!!
Nicky - that is GREAT that you are finding the co-sleeping working! I loved co-sleep with Avaleigh but also love being back in my bed now that she is in her 'big bed' hehe!! ohhhh you will get married soon too and then you can talk about everything wedding!
Mel - thats great that everyone is getting better in your household. I am still spotting at 8 weeks, but it is not all the time. I miss a few days and then have a day of spotting - argh!!
Avaleigh had another great night last night!! I first fed her before 8pm but only for a few minutes cause she fell asleep at my boob. I held her for alittle bit but she woke up, so I changed her and offered her 30mls of EBM that I expressed after her 4pm meal hoping to get more but she emptied both boobs!! She was still hungry after that so I put her on the boob. She then slept from 10pm to 4.30am! I then fed her and then expressed my other side cause now that we are missing the midnight feed, I am sooo full!! She then let me sleep in until 7.30am but by the time I got in to bed after expressing I only had 2 hours of extra sleep. But its still great!
Well I am going to try and express some more milk out. I am trying to build up my supply cause now that I am at the gym I am worried my breast milk will disappear. Yesterday Avaleigh had 120mls while I was at my dresss fitting - couldnt believe it!!
oh the co sleeping is working a treat, but what do I do during the day?? He wont leave my side!!!
hehe
Its ok if Im up and about doing things, I put him in my sling. But what about when I wanna sit at the computer?? lol
he has just had a feed and a change, he is just whinging cos IM not holding him!! little mummys boy! hehe.
V - good job with going to the gym! I am starting up a netball team next week, as IM not really a gym fan. It's amazing how much the little ones drink isnt it? You have no idea until you have expressed it out. Lach consistently drinks 150-180ml after I have expressed, but has been known on more than one occasion to drink 210ml and still want more! pig! lol
Hi all,
Mel I'm pretty happy about the sleeping too!! but according to my mum I was a really good sleeper from a young age so hopefully he will be too. Yay on your spotting finally stopping. I hope you don't get it back again for a while also. I'm over 6 weeks now and nothing yet, so fingers crossed I get a small reprieve if not a long one.
Veronica, Can't wait to see the pics of the dress. Yay on getting more sleep now too.
Nicki, Yay for being half sane. How was your mums group. I am yet to even be told anything about them. I'm glad things are getting a little better. Xavier is not always sorted out like today he is being a right clingy little mammas boy. I've now got him in the HAB 'cause he falls asleep in my arms, and then I put him down and he crys - rekons his hungry after 30 mins, and then only drinks for a few mins before falling asleep in my arms again. Hopefully after spending a few hours in the HAB, he will actually be hungry at his next feed.
I'm up for a lunch or something one day. If we don't get around to it, are you going to the baby school reunion in oct?? I'll be dragging nathan along kicking and screaming no doubt.
Well hopefully everyone is having a good day, it;s rainig here, lovley rain though.
Has anyone heard from kristy, how is she going, very busy no doubt!!
Bye
hey rebecca, yeah we are going to the reunion... oct 25th a thurs night I think.
yeah Ive got lach in his sling, but its killing my neck!! lol
lunch sometime sounds good, if I dont scre u off in the meantime.... im pretty scary looking!! hehehe
LMAO NIcky and Rebecca- you both living in the same town!! Do you know each other before BB?
Well ysterday Kaetlyn and I were out for ages, had somerunning around to do, a HAB would have been great- it was popping in here and popping in there, so I didnt want to get the pram out everytime- i saved that for the shopping centre. I found the parents room. It was quite nice- with little cubicles for feeding with curtains- so yeah, no more running to the car and feeding there. The only problem being was that Kaetlyn loved the flouroesent lights and kept twisting her head to see them!! next time i will cover her up. Boy do those nappy bins stink. I gagged when I opened it!!! Not looking forward to those stinky ones!
I expressedd this morning after her 5am feed- and got 80mls!!!!yeah I was impressed- that was cause she only took one boobie she pretty much emptied the other one, and again the Boob wasnt empty- just couldnt be bothered to keep expressing as I was tired.
Aaron now has 5 days off work, so guess what? I am putting him on dummy duty each night so that I can get some early nights.
Yeah for those bubbs that are now sleeping more through the night. May you all get some much needed rest and I hope it keeps on continuing.:dance::dance:
no we didnt know each other, and rebeccas mum is my mums boss!! lol
strange to find someone in a smaller town on here... not that bendigo is THAT small.... let alone someone who was due within days of you.
Sara, sounds like things are going well at your end:)
Hi all...we've had a busy few days here - had a second visit at a breastfeeding day centre yesterday and tomorrow I have my 6 week checkup with the obstetrician and the paediatrician. Alessia's sleeping is all over the place so I'm feeling quite zombie-like. Hopefully this is just a phase. Take care everyone *hugs*
Hi,
Lol sara, as nicki said no we didn't know each other, and bendigo isn't that small. we are on about a par with ballarat we fight them out on a yearly basis for 3rd biggest city in Victoria. It is a crazy coincidence though that my mum is Nicki's mums boss, and for a week or 2 there nicki one of your many due dates was the same as mine.
At the moment if I do any expressing I try to do it in the evening. I know I'm pretty safe any time after 7pm, 'cause he has been sleeping so well at night, and I wait at least an hour (based on tracey's advice I think). I figure if he does want to be fed again and I've just expressed I will have to give him the EBM.
Nicki I noticed you have MSN, if you don't mind can I add you as a contact??
Fran, I'm sure it is just a phase. I remember feeling like that and then I just said to Nathan one day "I think I'm just going to have to go with it and stop trying so hard and see what happens" and low and behold I think 2 days later he had his first 8 hours. we've flipped back to n average of about 7 now.
I don't know if it helps at all but I now only put him in wonder suits at night, like those are his jamies, and I put anything else on him during the day.
Hi all
well I feel like I am back in the land of the living after feeling really really bad for a few days. My throat is so much better but I have grown a colony of coldsores on my face so I am still feeling a bit fragile but well and truly on the mend. I have kind of been trying to keep up with what has been going on but am still a bit in the dark so I will have to go and have a read of what everyone has been doing and pop back later to say a proper hi.
Hope everyone is doing OK. I will BBL for a proper post.
Take care
Jem
Yeah rebecca, add me! I love new msn buddies!!!!
lol
Fran - i can sympathse with you on being in a zombie state!!! Lach sleeping has been crazy and he was awke for 6 striaght hours today! but he did have a good sleep last night and I only woke up half an hour ago after another two hours.
Jemima - sorry to hear you have been so unwell!!! Thats no good at all. Hope everything gets better for you really soon!:)
Well about to have a bath/shower with lach, feed him and see if we can get some more quality sleep lke last night.
I don't know how in the world I am going to find time to pack. If he would sit happily in his bouncer, it wouldnt be so bad, but a the moment all he wants is to be held.
I don't blame him, I'm quite cuddly! hehehe
Sleep vibes to everyone tonight:)
I spoke too soon. Today I woke up feeling the worst I have felt with this cold. It seems to have spread to my chest, as I have a yucky chesty cough, Jack too. If it were just me it wouldn't be a problem, I just hate seeing him weezing and coughing and sneezing.
Sorry for the whinge, but I always feel better after I have a little sob session, just sorry you guys always have to hear it:rolleyes:
Jem, good to hear your starting to feel better. I just had another look at your site, and saw the latest photos of the boys and charlotte. Jesse is a handsome little man, we might have to hook him and charlize up  But seriously all your children are gorgeous, you and DH must have good jeans that mix well.:)
Rebecca and Nicki, hows that, what a small world. What a great story to tell your kids when they are older, how their mummies met ;)
Fran, hope you have a better night tonight.
Sara, glad to hear you had a good day out, and its sounds as though you have got outings all sorted out, well done.
Veronica, I hear about the fustration of spotting. Mine sounded the same as yours, not everyday, but most. But I haven't now for 2 days YEY YEY YEY.
What type of contraception is everyone using? We decided to get a mariena (sp?) inserted into my cervix. But thinking we are going to try something else. DH doesn't like it much, he says it pokes him and it hurts;) Says its just cause he had a big willy, men it's always about them and their big (well in their minds) willies. I guess I will talk to my GP about other long term options. Just curious to know what your all doing. All though, most of you who are wanting more kids wouldn't be looking at long term solutions, but still just curious.
Going to get my hair done tomorrow, can't wait. I always feel like a different lady when I walk out. Wanting to try a new colour, maybe a little darker, but I always chicken out at the last minute, I'm sure tomorrow will be no different.
Anyway ladies, I'm off. Have a good night.
Gosh!! I have been soo busy the past week with all things wedding. We met up with our celebrant tonight and got all the papers signed so its all systems go!! I cant beleive it is all happening! But I tell you what, I am looking forward to having a rest as my sis is going back tonight, not staying the three weeks.
Mel _ I have got any contraception yet, only had sex ONCE since having Avaleigh HAHAHA But I am planning to get the mini pill.. must remember to get the prescription filled tomorrow!
Well I am off.. planning to meet up with some of the perth mums tomorrow so that should be fun
Night!
Hi all
so much to catch up on!!
Mel - poor you - I hope you and Jack are feeling better today. A pamper session at the hairdressers should help. I was going to get a Mirena but I have heard a few funny things about it so I am not sure now. What do you think you will use for contraception instead? We were going to go straight for a vasectomy but when Dh saw the specialist he was asked if we would want another child if one was to die as morality rates in infants is high in the first 12 months of life (I know this sounds heavy) and after talking we said yes we would so we have decided to hold off for a year or two on the vasectomy (not that I think anything is going to happen to one of the children). Any news on the house? Hehehehe about charlize and Jesse - they would make such a cute little pair!!
V - have fun at the Perth meet up. SOunds like it is all go with the wedding plans!!
Fran - how did you ob and paed appointment go? I have my ob appointment today.
Sara - I hear you on the stinky nappy bins - some of them are revolting. There is a really really nice new parents room at a shopping centre near where I live - I love going there to feed/change Charlotte which sounds rather sad but it is so clean and modern. Have you been getting some early nights with Aaron home?
Rebecca - sounds like Xavier is sleeping like a dream - yay and thank goodness!! Sleep makes for a happier mummy and a happy mummy makes a happy DH and so on!!
Nicky - Thats so funny how you and Rebecca met - especially as your mums work together. it is such a small world isnt it!!
Well not much is new here. Charlotte is still sleeping and feeding really well and without sounding like I am going on about it I am just so thankful as I dont know how I would have managed with Oliver and Jesse if she was an unhappy baby. I have a wedding to go to in Sydney next weekend and I dont know what I am going to wear. I am almost back into my normal clothes but not quite so I dont know if I should go and get something new or just try and make do. I guess alot of the new styles are quite loose so if I get something new i should be able to wear it again hopefully. I just dont know where to start looking -I love going shopping but feel a bit out of touch with fashion at the moment!!
Charlotte has her immunisations today (we are a bit late in getting them done) so I had best go and get ready for that.
Take care everyone
Jem

hi all,
jemima and mel, sorry to hear about all the sickies. It's no fun being sick.
Mel, at the moment my only contraception is abstinence  but really we will only be sticking with natural with some condoms thrown in for good measure. we have been together for over 10 years with no accidents so hopefully that keeps working for us. Once I've decided that I've had enough I might look at a long term under skin implant or something, but that's years away.
Nicki, oh how long until you have to move if your starting to pack?
Veronica, you are not going to know your self at the end of your whirlwind of having a baby then getting married. your going to be buggered.
Well, sory ladies but we had a pretty good night last night. Xav went to bed at 8.30 after being grizzly and clingy most of the day stirred at 2.30 but went back to sleep without me having to even go in. then at 4.15 I woke up laying in a pool of milk with giant aching bazombas (he wasn't awake!!!). Well I wasn't waiting for him to wake up. So I went and picked him up, sat down and started feeding him. Imagine his surprise and happiness where he woke up  not a single complaint. changed his bum half way through, got him to drain one side, and put him back to bed at 4.45. He then slept till 7.30 and instead of doing an I'm hungry cry it was more of a hello, is any one there kinda call.
The only down side to it all was that at 4.45 this morning I was standing in a cold kitchen expressing the other very full boobie, and do you think I could get back to sleep? no.
Can't complain though, he's being pretty good today, so far.
