Woo hoo first in!!!!!
mel I wanted to be first in.... thought I was going to be lucky
Well of to lunch today with my pg cousin, her mum and sis and Kaetlynbit of a girls lunch I think!!
I am busy painting picutres for Kaeltyns room..... lets just say.... i might stick to sewing!!!!
Mmmmmm do you know what I feel like. In SA they have chocolate covered snakes - DIVINE is not s strong enough word to describe this delicacy!! I think they only do them in SA as the company is SA owned and they dont go interstate. It is the same company that makes fruchocs and for those of you who have tasted fruchocs YUM is all I can say. But back to the choc covered snakes - how good do they sound!!!
Ur funny Jem, your a choc-o-holic
Sara, hope you have a good lunch.
Howdy chick's!!!
We arrived back today, I am pooped beyong words! But it was a brilliant holiday, will attempt to catch up soon.....
Welcome back Tracey, I'm sure you had a great time away. Can't wait to hear about it.
Hey has anyone ever had a naming ceremony? What actually happens? And do you still nominate god parents?
Hi girls, thought I would stop being naughty and lurking and actually pop in to say hello! Hope everyone is doing well, will do my best to keep up with you all, but you are all such good posters it is hard to keep up!
Welcome back Tracey - cant wait to hear about your holiday.
Hi Relle - we miss you in here. How did the move go and how is Angus going?
Sara - hope your enjoyed your girls lunch.
Tears of joy - OMG at the earthquake. Have you had any more??
Mel - we had a ceremony in a church for Oliver when he was about 7 months old. Basically it was a birth celebration rahter than a christening as we dont reguarly attend church but still wanted to do something for him. My parents attend church so we had it at their church. We didnt have to have godparents as part of the ceremony but I guess if we had wanted to we could have. The Minister said some stuff re welcoming Oliver into the world and the church and we had to say a few words saying we would do the best for him etc etc. I have been to slack to do another one for Jesse and now Charlotte - mental note must get onto that!
Aaawwwww I am so sorry Jem! I have been bad, I just get so buggered that writing long posts doesn't happen anymore, and I have only just got back online properly in the last few days.
Yeah we are all settled now and thankfully my DH is back at work after his surgery. I have been flat out to trying to get my Doula work going full speed again and writing uni apps for next year.
Angus is great thankyou, he is goign through the 12 week change atm and for the first time is quite fussy when feeding, but this is when I gave up feeding Campbell cause I wasn't confident enough, so this time I am going to perservere as I know it is a phase and we will get through it.
Other than that he is truly a blessing and I am so very thankful everyday that he came along!
How is Charlotte going? How are the boys going with her? Do they love her?
Mel, How is Jack's reflux going babe?
Tracey - so glad to hear you had a great holiday, I can not begin to imagine how exhausting that trip must have been with 3 kids!
Hey Relle, Hope your well. How did the move go, all settled in now? I bet you don't know yourself, with all the extra room.
Jem, I still have to get myself done. Both my sisters are christened, my parents just never got around to getting me done, probably what I'm the evil child, he he he. We don't attend church either, but I would like to have a naming ceremony or christening for the two kids and me. Just don't know what it is all about. And the thought of ringing a church or naming celebrate to very overwhelming. But I guess I will have to do, like you, mental note!!!!
Both kids are down at the moment, that doesn't happen all that often, so I'm trying to relax. Just finished the washing, and now enjoying a cup of tea and talking to ya all. Anyway must be off, BBL.
Snap Relle, since Jack went on Losec he has been a wonderful very happy little boy. Love him so much. It was wierd, the chemist I get it from, stuffed up our order (long story), so he had to go off it for a day, until the filled it, and he has been waking up again at 2am with tummy pains, so I wonder if this is the cause. But he is back on it for 2 days now, so fingers crossed the 2am wakes will disappear again.
Great to hear Angus is going really well. How are Cooper and Campbell? I bet they love him very much. It must be so cute having 3 boys. They will be the best of friends, if they aren't already. I hope our two grow up well together. Only 2 more weeks until we move, can't wait to get in there. Jack will have his own room. He has been out in the lounge room since he was about 1 month old. At least he is good with noise I guess, probably won't sleep when he is in his own room.
Hey Ladies,
Just played with the photosite, what do you think?
Awww Mel - it looks fantastic! I am so unco with all of that stuff! Wow soon Jack will be nearly as big as Charli!
How exciting about your move! You will not know yourselves! It is fantastic to have so much extra space.Goodluck with the move hun, will you get removalists or do it yourself?
I have a client appt tonight, so it will be a late one for me - I am so not good with late nights! lol
Hi,
Sacha, Welcome to belly belly! I just asked basically the same question about having kids close together if you go back to thread number 5 and read from page 8.
Tracey, welcome back looking forward to hearing all about your holiday!
Mel & Jem, thanks for the info at the moment I think we will wait but I don't know how long we will wait for.
Mel, the site looks great!
hi everyone i just have a quick question....
relle what do you mean by the 12w change? My little boy has been fighting sleep the past 4 days and is being weird with his feeds....is this normal? is he just going through a faze?
any input would be fantastic
xox
Hi Nay,
Yes hun most babies typically go through a period of being unsettled as they adjust to changes in their sleeping patterns and feeding. Usually this occurs around the 6 week mark and the 12 week mark.
Their little bodies are changing so the main things affected are sleeping and eating. Their sleep cycles actually change in length, so that along with them being alot more alert and aware when you are not there means they have to learn to settle, and when waking in between sleep cycles how to resettle.
Your milk also undergos quite a change as bubs needs more milk and so they often fuss when feeding as well.
Angus is screaming so I had better go, but hope that helps! Hang in there - it will pass!
Mel - love the photo site - both Charlize and Jack are adorable. You breed them well LOL!!!
