Major bummer about your sister not being able to look after the kids tomorrow and yes I do hear you on the chance of slowing down being about ZILCH!! We can live in hope LOL!!
Hi all,
Jan, I'm sneaking in as many kisses and cuddles as I can now before that aww mum stage starts although we already get looks, like what are you doing? especially when daddy kisses him. I hope your night sleeps get better.
Jemima, I'm just hoping he continues to sleep well at night, because he is driving me mental every afternoon. Yesterday was arsenic 4 hours I swear. But he went to bed no troubles at 8pm. only slept till 5 last night, but seeing as he managed to turn himself horizontal and above his blankets, I'm not surprised. Plus he went back to bed at 5.30 and stayed till 10am. Managed to get him in for a morning nap, fingers crossed he stays there for a while.
Mel, oh no about the phone. Charlize must have know you wanted a new one. Next time teach her to remove the sim card before flushing the phone
Well as I said above we had such an arsenic style afternoon. I couldn't work out what was wrong with him. Fingers crossed it's not the heat but it was 28degrees here yesterday, and he didn't have a temp but he felt very warm. I think my poor little dear doesn't like the heat like his dad and we are in for an arsenic summer. At 7pm last night I had him laying on the lounge room floor in just a nappy, where he slept contently for 30 mins while it cooled down, and I could re-dress him and feed him for bed.
Any one else have probs with heat?
Oh and Nathan wasn't helping much (he was home sick from work) getting frustrated with him, and saying stupid things like let him cry he will eventually wear himself out, and it was that really distressed cry. I was so angry with nathan.
Zy just had his 8wk needles, he was so so upset! I hated it!
gotta go Indah's wanting to play!
Hi All.
Mel- LOl at the phone, wish I could teach Kaetlyn to do that :D i would really like a new phone!
Bec- hope that today is better than yesterday. I hope the heat dosent effect hime to much, or Kaetlyn- i feel her getting really hot while I am feeding her on the hot days, so take her top off and feed her in just the singlet. I hate the hot weather- it effects me badly, hopefully she is okay though.
5 feeds a day- cant remeber who posteed this, but sometimes Kaetlyn only seems to want to feed for 5 times, but I always push 6- I am paranoid about losing my supply. I would prob say that I semi-demand feed as if she is going over time I will feed her a little bit to see what she wants. If shes not hungry she just dosnt latch on.
V- great work on the weight loss- hope the weight in goes well . Aaron and I are thinking of joining weight watchers. We are just a bit overweight- enough for people to say mmmm they are looking a little bit to porky! I guess have over indulged thinking it will be okay as I am BF- guess not.
Well news here..... My cousin had her son yesterday, they named him Ethan (it was on our list of boys names hehehe). She asked me this morning if i thought he was cute.... :boohoo: i said, 'my daughter is the cutest, I am not going against my own flesh and blood' silly billy. as if I would ever think that another child is cuter than my own
We have birds nest up in the roof- well were there but have decided to go in the cavity and get stuck there. FIL and Aaron are trying to ix it now. Last time aaron was in the roof it was at my mums house, and he put his foot through the roof, not realising you have to tread on the beams not the gyprock!!!
I am printing my thankyou cards out, it works out way sheaper to make them myself than get someone else to do it. I think it is more persnal.
I have finished the paintings in Kaetlyns room. I saw her looking at them this morning  she was ment to be asleep though! I also brought some cheap stocking butterflies so have put them up around her room! it looks cute!!
Well best be off, have heaps to do and I am so lethargic- have netball tonight- last week they made me go center... i was a bit upset- no-one else had had a baby 11 weeks ago!!! its a different team tonight so should be okay!
I went for a cat nap and aaron decided he needed to wake me (I had just got to sleep) to tell me he thinks Kaetlyn will be left handed as she was grabbing things with her left hand and not her right - i think he is a bit upset- sorry to all you left handed people- I dont mean to offend you! My brother is left handed and so is one of his sisters! will just have to wait and see!
BYE!!! :D
Hi all
we had some professional photographs of Charlotte taken today and at the end they showed us the shots and we had to choose which ones we wanted and they were SOOOOOO cute. She was smiling and playing up to the camera and made it very difficult to make a decision about what photos to get. I ended up spending a small fortune but I just couldnt help it!! This photographer took shots of the boys when they were babies so we had to get some taken of Charlotte. I wish I could show you but we dont get the negatives. I will have to take a photo of the photo when we get them back in 6 or so weeks!
Sara - you will have to take some photos of your paintings. You sound really crafty!
Tracey - hope Zy is doing OK after his needles
Rebecca - hope you didnt have an arsenic hour (or four hours) like yesterday. Jesse didnt like the heat when he was a baby and was definitely more whingey in the hot weather. Over summer our electricity bill was so high as we seemed to have the air conditioner on all the time but I guess with kids there isnt any way around it.
Hi to everyone else.
Not much else is new. Oliver and Jesse were in childcare today so it was a very quiet day and I even managed to have a mid morning sleep. Dh was such a gem (as he always is - well most of the time hehehe) and he cleaned the house and put all the clean clothes away. What a good boy.
I had best run as there is a packet of fruchocs with my name on it in the pantry.
Take care
Jem
Sara, I have stocking butterflys up all around Charlizes room too, they look so cute. Well done at playing C last week. I reckon I would die if I played a game ATM, that's if I didn't have this stupid foot. What are the painting off?
Jem, How is Jesse's teeth going? I can't wait to see the pic of the pic of Charlotte. I got one done the other day of both the kids together, can't wait to get it back, should be soon, I'll do the same so you can see it. We had some professional ones done of Charlize when she was 8 months so I will wait until then to get some of Jack on his own. IKEWYM about he price. I was lucky though to get a CD with the images I had purchased though, so I got some printed for the family. BTW, my mobile number is still the same.
Rebecca, Charlize was a really hot baby and Jack is too but I don't think as bad. Is Xavier still wrapped? I think that's what made it worse with Charlize, she was and would be drenched in sweat by morning, even in just a singlet suit and using a muslim wrap. Sounds as though your doing all you can to help him.
Relle, aka SUPERMUM, you must tell me about all the births you do (if that's allowed), I need a fix. I'm definately going to do it in a few years, I love it.
Tracey, how Zyon is feeling better.
Us, all is good. I'm going to start packing tomorrow, which will be interesting with the 2 kids here. Charlize is into being a huge helper ATM. She pulls everything apart to bring to you, so she can get a thank you or good girl, then she walks away with the proudest smile on her face, so cute!!! I think she'll be a big help.
Must be off, BBL ladies, take care!
Hi everyone
How did I live without a pram? Well, now that I have one - I don't know. It is so useful. I love it. I guess you don't miss what you don't have. A woman in my mother's group doesn't have a car or a mobile phone, so I guess you just make do with what you have...
I took Diana down to the waterfront this evening in her pram. We walked around, she had a feed, then I put her down on a blanket and we had a play. It was really fun and we had a good time. Hope to do it again soon.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about my ability to work, study and be a mum. It is good to hear encouragement as sometimes I feel that I am not balancing things all that well...
Jemima - I know what you mean about the professional photos. We got Diana's back a few weeks ago and they look great. We ended up spending way more than we planned, but they were so cute we couldn't resist.
Sorry for the selfish post. Off to write my essay. Hope you all have a great night. :)
hey everyone!! The only time I seem to be able to get a chance is after Avaleigh's last feed!! Its soo different now that there is a little one in the house
Mel - no honeymoon set :( We've decided not to go anywhere and I am not too upset about it. We just got too many animals and have put a lot of money in to our salt water tanks and dont have any friends that we trust enough!
Rebecca - I am not too sure how Avaleigh is handling the heat. She has been a little more unsettled the past few days cause its been a lot warmer and she is not sleeping in her cot much but I have put that down to being on the go heaps this week.
I'd like to get some professional photos done!! Must talk to Jason about that on. Maybe we will get some done after the wedding.
Someone was saying about slowing down??? I wish I could!! I just cant seem to be able to do it lately. I am up at 6am and then walking the dogs and then going to the gym, then cooking dinner, then back to the gym again!! I dont stop until 9pm hey, its crazy! And inbetween all that I am constantly thinking about the wedding and now I have taken over the paperwork for Jason's business I have to try and find time to do that! But the good thing is I have not been bored once since finishing work 4 months ago, we'll see if I get bored in the new year!!
Now that Avaleigh has sat up, that is ALL she wants to do!! Its crazy.. she's in her swing and she wants to sit up, she did it tonight when I wasnt looking and managed to hurt her head! If she is in the pram, she will sit up.. Pretty much she will try and sit up anywhere when she is leaning back against something. I've been trying to find her jolly jumper but cant remember where I put the thing, We are having a garage sale this weekend so hopefully I will find it. And I am planning on buying Avaleigh one of those walker thingys tomorrow. I have a feeling that my little girl is going to be an early walker like her daddy!!
Anyway, I best be going cause I can hardly keep my eyes open!
Hi all,
Sara, lol at your hubby waking you to give you such important news!! There is nothing wrong with being left handed. I have seen my sil tell her daughter to use the other hand. I know left handed can be harder but I thought you were just supposed to let the child decide.
Ok I have to finish this quick as I can hear sooking coming from the boys room,
Not wrapping xavier anymore haven't for weeks, lol he even climbs out from under his blankets. Nathan is a really hot person, and would be more than happy to not have the heater on all winter. Literally drips sweat from sitting in the shade in summer.
I'm trying to muster up the energy to get some professional photos taken. Planning to go back to our wedding photographer as she puts them all on disk, so it's money well spent. and cheap Christmas presents for grandparents. So I better get my bum into gear.
Bec- He called his sister straight after that to tell her- as if to say 'its all your fault' and the outcome of the phone conversations is that she will teach Kaetlyn to write as she knows how to write left handed!!!
I told him not to jump guns just yet and wait till her brain is more developed!
I still wrap kaetlyn as she has the major startle reflex still and actually hits herself in the head when she stirrs in her sleep. Also is she isnt wrapped, she rolls onto her side to sleep sucking her thumb (she does this during the day), which I am worried about as there was an article in the local paper about a 3month old that died in her sleep bacuse of this/SIDS. and of course i dont want that to happen.
Now you all have me worried about the left handed thing LOL!! Oliver is showing a very strong tenancy towards his left hand. I have just bought him a pair of left handed scissors which has made cutting much easier and he favours his left hand to draw, paste, dig etc etc so I am pretty sure he is going to be left handed. Occassionally he will use his right hand but more so the left. What is the worry if they are left handed??? I am adopted and I know my birth mother is left handed so I guess he inherited the left handed gene from her
On the wrapping I still wrap Charlotte although she has the odd day sleep unwrapped. Oliver was wrapped until he was about 6 months old and Jesse was about 4 months when he stopped wrapping him.
I have just returned from visiting a friend who has two boys the same age as Oliver and Jesse. The boys were able to play while we sat in the sun having a chat - very relaxing. She made the nicest lunch - vietnamese cold rolls - YUMMY!
All three children are asleep so I am going to go and have a rest. YAY
Jemima- I am not worried about the left handed thing- DH just seems to be for some reason.
When do you know to stop wrapping them?
Hehehehe I was starting to get worried about the left handed thing - I thought maybe there was something I was missing LOL!! Its all good!!
I am not really sure if there is a right and a wrong regarding when to stop wrapping. I guess when they have good head/neck control you would be safe to stop wrapping so if they do roll over in bed they can lift their head.
With Oliver (our first born) we wraped him for about 6 months as he was sleeping so well wrapped but we just decided one to day to try him unwrapped and it worked a dream. Same happened with Jesse at 4 months of age- we just decided one day to stop and he adapted really well - in fact his sleeping improved for the short term (he was a terrible sleeper for about the first year of his life - I must add he is now a great sleeper thank goodness).
lol I decided to stop wrapping xavier a) because he hates it, but b)one night I didn't want him to wake up while I wrapped him so just put him into bed. he slept for 8 hours un-interrupted, so I tried again, and he is still sleeping well. He isn't showing any signs of rolling yet, just wriggles up and out of his blankets so am now considering a sleeping bag.
HI girls,
Campbell is left handed as well and so in my mum and my sister and DH's mum, so there would have been a fair chance at it.
Angus is still sleeping wrapped, but I am considering when will be the best time to try him unwrapped, might try some day sleeps soon.
Mel - I have 5 births coming up over the next few months, so I can email you details ! lol Might not be that interesting though, some of them a pretty long!
Hi Relle - include me in your birth email as I need to get my pregnancy fix somehow!!
I feel inspired to try Charlotte sleeping unwrapped a bit more than what I have been - cant hurt to give it a go!!
About to have dinner - DH has cooked me prawn stirfry so yummy better go and eat it while it it hot
Hey ladies,
I have just listed all my old maternity clothes on EBAY :(.
Can't wait to get your emails Relle, I miss it all so much already.
Jem, yummy prawn stirfry how yummy does that sound. Your DH sound just wonderful, I think he should have a talking to mine ;)
Rebecca, I used a sleeping bag for Charlize over winter, it worked wonders. She is such a wriggly sleeper too, I loved it!!
Did anyone just see that show on T.V, about the little girl who had cancer. OMG I'm still crying, poor little thing, it's the worst thing in the world to imagine something as horrible as that happening to your own baby. I feel so fragile now.
BBL ladies, take care all.
LOL Jem and Mel! You girls crack me up, I must admit though, I am not as clucky this time round knowing that I will still be heavily involved in Pregnancy and Birth regardless of if I have another bub myself.
Your DH does sound wonderful Jem, mind you I do not envy you when he goes away.
Mel - You are so brave to have watched that show - I couldn't, anything with sick kids makes me really upset these days, even if it's just a fiction show, let alone a true story.
Relle - your doula work sounds wonderful, although hard work sometimes I'd expect.
Jem - yum for the prawn stirfry. I must admit, there's been a fair bit of talk about food on this page lately, curses to the girls who were talking about Gaytimes - they'd have to be pretty much my favourite icecream. Mind you, I think my body thinks that there's going to be a world-wide sugar shortage, I've been on the biggest sugar binge for the last week or so.
Well, I've finally got myself a bit organised and created a website for Liam. I've shoved on a couple of photos, if you want to check him out. The link should be at the bottom of my signature, along with the password.
Jan how are you babe?
Yeah it is hard work, but amazing all the same!
The last birth I was with her for 18 of her 25 hour labour and only left her 3 times for 20 min to express and I could not imagine having to leave her like the 3 shift changes we went through at the hospital had too.
Very very emotional too
Relle
IKWYM about emotional - I've always loved watching shows about births. Years ago, when I was in a house that had foxtel, there was a show that covered birth stories of women in the US, and I bawled my eyes out every time I watched it, it's just so amazing & kind of primal in a way. And this was before I became clucky myself. I'm an absolute basket case these days, but I kind of like it.
I'd better get off here - I've promised date & apple cupcakes for my nephew's birthday tomorrow, and the dates & apples have to be cut up to soak the night before & I haven't even started them. It's not as much palaver as it sounds, once the fruits been done, & they're delicious, so worth the effort.
Hi everyone
Re the left-handed discussion - I am mostly left-handed and was kind of hoping Diana would be too, but she already seems to be favouring her right hand (and her right foot). Left-handedness is a genetic thing, so if a child is left handed, they will be so for life. They can be taught to do things with their right hand, but it will always feel wronng and unnatural. I know as for a while my family tried to get me to write with my right hand, etc. I can still do it, but the left is so much easier. So don't worry Sara, Kaetlyn will be okay.
Jan - I'm like you. I couldn't watch that show either. Just the ads looked so sad.
Jemima - lucky you getting your DH to cook you a stir fry. (Does he clean up afterwards though? DF often cooks for me, but sometimes my enjoyment of the meal is lessened with the knowledge of the mess waiting for me in the kitchen.)
Re wrapping - I stopped wrapping Diana a few weeks ago (can't remember exactly when - around about 13-14 weeks maybe), as she started wriggling out of them. She still startels sometimes, but doesn't seem too concerned about whether she is wrapped up or not. She is almost too big for her wraps now anyway, so I have started putting her in a sleeping bag. It works great.
Morning all, Thought I would come in here as I was not allowed to go back to bed this morning lol.
Re watching any shows about kids, I used to watch from more of an abstract informative view, and now they make me all emotional. It's like they all make a whole lot more sense now.
I feel guilty most nights because I'm really tired, Nathan has been cooking heaps and he is getting better at cleaning up too
With the Wrapping and the startle reflex, xavier still startles himself too, but I figure he is better off learning how to settle himself after startling now than later. We are averaging 9 hours at night now so something is working for him. His poor little hands are soo cold in the mornings though (or should I say poor mummy's chest when little cold hands touch). ooo chilli I have to wrap his fist in my dressing gown sometimes
Hello everyone!
I have been trying to keep up with all the posts!! Well, I am still around and things are going well. This week Oscar has started sleeping a bit longer at night (fingers crossed it stays that way) so no more 3 hrly feeds during the night and also during the day he is going 4 hrs between feeds! YEY!
Hope everyone else is going well, I will try and attempt personals later today. Need to clean the house a bit and get ready for MG and be out of the house in just over an hour! EEK!
Good Morning all.....
I am having a day out in the sun doing some gardening so just ddropped maddy at school, playing on here going to get groceries & then outside, later this arvo I'm off getting a hairdo, so that will be fun, some me time!!!
Seems all is going well with all the bubba's in here which is awesome...
I cant do personals coz Indah's removing her clothes as we speak & it's taken me ages to get her dressed!!!!!!
Hi! Hope you don't mind if i pop in! I was in the preg after miscarriage bit before the birth of my baby boy and have been slack ever since!! It would be great to join in and hear how everyone else is going with their July babies!! I had Lucas on July 11 and we have had our ups and downs (hernia operation mainly!!) but he is going pretty well. I have only read a couple of pages and one thing i noticed was the "wrapping" thing....we went to a tweddle settling class and the nurse there said they should be out of thier wraps by four months, but whatever works i reckon!! Will try and keep up with everyone as soon as i can!!
Hi everyone...hope you're all going well. We've been travelling along pretty nicely - Alessia has settled into a semi-routine where she'll have her last feed around 8ish and wake up around 6ish. Gives mummy lots of sleep and time to catch up on some 'me' time :) She's growing so quickly cos I can definitely see some rolls in her thighs now and her cheeks are getting chubbier. Too cute!
We have our first mother's group meeting tomorrow so I am really looking forward to some regular contact with the outside world apart from our immediate families.
Tracey Yay for you time. Hope your hairdo comes out exactly how you want!
Danielle Yay for great sleeping from Oscar. Makes you feel so good when you can string together more than 2 hours of sleep in a row!
Rebecca I tried not wrapping Alessia during the day but nope, she won't have a bar of it! Her startle reflex is still too prominent. How cute for little cold hands in the morning. Alessia has 'scratchy' cold hands - ouch!
Zofia Yay for the pram purchase - they are definitely a great investment!!! As bulky as mine can be at times, sometimes it is preferable to using the sling :)
Jan Hope you and Liam enjoyed your nephew's birthday party today. I'm so pleased I can now place some faces to your names. What a gorgeous little bubba Liam is :)
Mel I can't ebay my maternity clothes (even though we're planning on giving Alessia some brothers/sisters) cos I've given them to my sister! She's 15weeks pregnant and I'm so glad Alessia will have a playmate close to her age. I took a look at your updated website and Mel, your babies are just too beautiful and cute!
Relle Wow for your efforts in being a Doula - 18 hours in a row??? Wow...it must be so rewarding to see the entire labour through - being that 1 consistent person is so important. I was so fortunate that I had Alessia within the one shift.
Jem WTG Jem's hubbie for cooking! David loves to cook but unfortunately he's been coming home from work buggered and can't be bothered cooking anything more complicated than toast! *lol*
Okies, that is all I can manage for now...little miss is stirring and she should be sleeping just a tad more before her next feed :) Talk soon and take care! *hugs*
PS its been so long since i have been on here can anyone remind me how to change my signature????
Don't worry i figured it out!
Very jealous of the long sleeps i am hearing about! Lucas goes through cycles and at the moment has a cold so is waking around 2am - not happy!!
Yeah fran on the mega sleep- wish Kaetlyn would change her hours!!! she sleeps from midnight till about 8.30. I want to try and retrain her to sleep rom about 8ish as well. Ahh well, cant look a gift horse in the mounth can I???
Just letting you know I have updated my gallery with pics of the paintings I did, the name plate on her door, and also the sad attempt at making a fitted nappy. Am yet to try it! not sure if I am game enough!
Will bbl for personals!
Oh and welcome megan. (when i posted this we had exactly the same nummber of posts - 229 hehehe)
Hello all
Welcome Megan glad to have you join the group - the more the merrier.
Ooooohhhh gotta run as Oliver and Jesse want to hop in the bath. So cute - Oliver is running down the hallway followed by Jesse and they are both nude and Oliver is saying "lets do a nudey run".
I had best run and go and supervise. Will BBL to say a proper hi.
Grrr at Dh wporking late is all I can say.
Jem
XXX
WOOHOO!! *does a little dance*
My wedding dress is nearly finished!! They are just putting the crystals on and then it is getting sent to the shop!!! Oh I cant wait to put it on!!!

V - that is so exciting about your wedding dress. We cant wait to see you in it!! I love weddings and would get married every weekend if I could (to DH of course)!!
Mel - how is the packing going? Thinking of you and wish I was closer as I would come and help as I know how full on moving is - espcially with Jack and Charlize "helping" you!.
Ngala ~ How exciting for you! When will you get to try your beautiful wedding dress on?
Jem and Mel ~ Jared left on Monday and will be back tomorrow. He goes away again next month so we are going to meet up for a weekend away. BTW Mel I missed the bit about what happened to your phone and will have to backtrack!
Blueflower ~ OMG The exact same thing is happening here!! Birds are nesting in the roof and one got through a skylight in our bedroom. We totally freaked as Lucas naps in there alot during the day and the owners won’t fix it!
Jan ~ Ha! Basket case and loving it! Funny! Are you are SAHM?
Tracey ~ I’m not looking forward to the next lot of needles, I hated it more than I thought I would too! How was Zy afterwards?
Star ~ What is it like studying and having the baby? I’m due to pick up my degree next semester after deferring for a year, don’t know how I’ll manage so thankfully uni doesn’t start until march and I’ve got a bit of time yet.
Megan ~ Welcome to you and Lucas, as you can see we picked the same name for our beautiful DS! I named mine after his Uncle Lucas, how did you pick the name?
Well I’ve been busy the last few days doing a few things I’ve been putting off, like cleaning out this office. Jared is an Indigenous Health Educator so he is forever bringing home leaflets and bits and pieces that pile up.
I’m trying to get organised as our real estate has been a royal PIA and we’d like to move. The thing with the birds has been the last straw with this place although we love it. I’m extra peeved because the owners live across the road and they know we have a new baby in here, but the agents themselves have been impossible too, so it’s time to move!
Lucas has been great this week and he only woke at 2am for a feed last night, which is a first! WooHoo to us!
Love to all
August xx
Hi everyone
Just a quick one from me. I've had the craziest afternoon and evening and am just starting to relax now at 10:30pm!
V - yay on your wedding dress being nearly finished! Stupid question, but are you going to express milk for your wedding day or are you going to wear something that you can feed in? My wedding dress doesn't allow me to breastfeed, so I have decided that I will have to get changed afterwards. We're not having a honeymoon at the moment either, but are saving up for a trip to Europe next year, which we have decided will be our honeymoon.
Sara - I love your paintings. Are they your own designs? You are so creative. I'm so jealous. I have been aiming to do some paintings for Diana too, but so far all I have is a partially painted background. :wall:
August Moon Mum - studying, working and taking care of a baby is quite a challenge. I am only doing one paper this semester, so its not too bad. I have a two hour lecture once a week and am expected to do assignments, readings, etc. I am finding the reading quite a struggle. I imagined that I would read while breastfeeding, but am finding it hard to concentrate. So for the moment I am skim reading books and articles and hoping that will be enough. Fingers crossed.
Jemima - how cute about your boys running nudie through the house. :)
Hi to everybody else. I will do my best to do some proper personals in the next day or two. Have a good night ladies! :)
starfish, thanks for the compliment! but i cheated and got the canvases with the pictures printed on them from the localreject shop/cheap shop for about5 dols each, I just had to paint between the line, which is actually harder than oit looks. they look good from a distance, but up close, not the best!!!!
well i am trying the unwrapping while sleeping thing tonight. not sure how it will go - more for my sake- as i think i might be a panic merchant esp when it comes to sids. i might wait until she has put herslef to sleep- which seems to be on her sides at the moment, and then go in and roll her on her back and wrap her while asleep.
Also, this 12 week change in doing my head in.... :wall: today she fed for like every 2 hours which is really unlike her. she is also really grumpy of late. I am pretty sure that it is not my milk, as even though my boobies are floppy after feeds, i can sstill hand express some milk (that is the other thing i am panick merchant about- my supply running to low).
Could she be teething yet? silly question but you never know?????
Zofia - I am planning to express milk for the whole weekend!! On the Friday night its my hen's party, Saturday me and my sis are going to a day spa and then sunday is the wedding. So I am not too sure what to do.. I was going to express and then freeze my milk and stock up that way and have it all ready for the day. But then I am going to need to pump my milk out any way... so anyways, to answer your question!! My dress is strapless so I am just going to need someone to undo my lace back and then pop my boob out!! or something like that LOL
I found Avaleigh's jolly jumper yesterday and she LOVES it!! HAHA We got lots of photos of her in it and I will put them up on her website (and facebook) so check them out!
RE this baby wrapping.. I stoped wrapping Avaleigh AGES ago.. I think at 6 weeks or something like that. She never really liked being wrapped up - always got out of it so I just gave up.
Sara - you never know, she could be teething. I think Avaleigh is teething and has been particularily (sp) bad this week... Really grumpy and dribbley and all she wants to do is put things in her mouth!! And she has felt a little warm to touch but have no temp.. I might look up the teething signs.
My names Jo and i'm kinda new to this whole forum thing
My michael was born 12/07/07 here in townsville sunny north qld and just curious how everyone else is going with there july babes
It appears michael is a little bit of an early bird with teething probs already over the last week - talk about little angel to little devil overnight - we had everything down pat - a bed time, sleeping through (even a sleep in every now and then for mummy), had weaned successfully from breast to bottle and reaching all our milestones - but now.......i was really spoilt.......it's like day 1 all over again.
Don't get me wrong - we are having a blast when he's happy and playful and learning everyday - i just wish i could do something to take his pain and misery away - some times his crys are so heartbreaking and i feel so helpless
If you haven't guessed i'm also new at the whole motherhood thing too......
If anyone has any ideas ....please.....
Jo ~Welcome to you & Michael to BB and the July 07 babes thread! I think a couple of the other babies are starting teething here so I hope you can find some good advise and check out the colic, relflux&teething thread.
Star ~ Thanks for the insight re studying. I think the difficult part for me would be finding the time to write essays.
Megan ~ Lucas had gastroschisis which is a herniation of the bowel and had to have an op too so there is another coincidence for you.
Jan ~ I checked out Liam's site, he is so adorable and has the most beautiful eyes!
Well Lucas only waking once for a feed last night must have been a once off as we were back to our usual 12.30am & 4am feeds tonight. Oh well! He has been wanting to go to bed alot earlier too lately and has been sound asleep by 5pm and I'm having to wake him for bedtime at 7pm so I wonder what it will be like when daylight savings starts on the 28th?
Well I'm going to leave Lucas with his Poppy and go shopping with mum for a couple of hours this morning. DP comes home this afternoon. I've also got a HUGE pile of laundry to do, I'm amazed at how much there is considering it's only been the two of us here all week! :dunno:
Have a great weekend all.
OMG ladies, I'm a walking zombie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the last two nights I have had probably 3 hours sleep total.:(
Charlize is very sick, and waking every 1hr crying and wanting to be held. And Jack has taken back up waking twice during the night. I don't know if it's another growth spurt, or maybe his teeth or maybe he just loves Mummy to cuddle up too. But either way, I'm paying for it big time. Mum is coming up today, so I will take Charlee to the quak then hopefully mum will be able to watch them while I attempt for some sleep. I'm surpossed to be packing, but have only managed 3 boxes. I just can't leave Charlee alone for more than 2 seconds without her wanting me to hold her, and Jack well he is still a little piggy and wanting to be fed every 2-3 hours still. So I think the whole packing thing will have to wait until DH mum arrives next Tuesday.
Sorry for the selfish post.
BBL for some personals, maybe!!!
Take care all.
