It's raining! Thank goodness it's a bit of relief from the hot weather, so Autumn's heat rash is completely gone - yey. She even has socks on which she hasn't worn for ages - she thinks they're new toys to be sucked off her feet - oh for the flexibility...
Em - I wouldn't mind Autumn becoming attached to anything - dummy, blankie, whatever - if it helped her settle easier and stop scratching. I'll deal with the separation problem later! Unfortunately, we had to stop putting her in long sleeves weeks ago due to the weather so we also had to give up the built in mittens at the same timeThey are great though, if it's still cool enough for you down there. I especially liked the thinner, not-necessarily-wondersuits, that you can buy as I found the material not so rough on her face when she rubbed.

August -at the made up songs. I do that too, and occasionally I catch DH giving it a go when he thinks I'm not paying attention...
Mel - You brought back childhood memories when you spoke of the kids in the bath togetherWhat a great way to lessen your load too!
Jan - You didn't mention what kind of skin problems Liam has, but Autumn has had dry patches, plus redness in her creases (and there are a lot of those!) since birth. I happened upon a site from a chemist down your way who makes a lavender balm that's gentle enough that they can even get it in their eyes and mouth without harm so I thought 'what the hell' and ordered some. That was at about 8wks and I've been using ever since - it has really been helpful. The guy's name is David Hosking if you want to google it. Sorry I didn't keep the web address. Pawpaw ointment is also good in case you haven't heard of it.
Leah - I have to feed Autumn to almost sleep and even then I don't get good day sleeps out of her - usually 30-40min max.
Megan - I would agree with Rebecca and try to get him used to just one or two people to start with without hanging around. They have to build up a bit of trust to feel comfortable and some babies are definitely more sensitive to 'strangers' than others. Good luck, and it's really just a sign he loves you so much.
I know it's bad, but I get irrationally defensive if MIL wants to buy something for Autumn, but if it's my own mum, it's fine. Not sure what that's all about.
Does anyone else's baby do that little whimper cry in their sleep? Breaks my heart to think she might be having bad dreams
Ciao for now
