hi everyone
thought i would also post to get the thread a moving again lol
here is my lame attempt at personals
kelly - how are you?? how is charlie now in the big boys bed
jessica - hooray for ttc #2 i hope for your sanity it doesn't take as long as us (so far 10 cycles down) sigh the clock is ticking loudly over here lol. i haven't put lani into swimming lessons, there is no way i am going into the pool with my jelly belly lol, i will wait till she is 3 and can go in the pool by herself, she is very good at blowing bubbles, does them in the bath everynight copying her big brother  i only do gymnastics atm with lani, personally i wouldn't bother getting into a whole lot of stuff with aiyden, playgroup is great for him to socialise, check out the playgrouping vic website. believe me as they get older the more activities they want to do and you will be forever forking money out left right and centre for term fees, uniforms equipment etc etc. my ds is nearly 6 and he does swimming and will continue for as long as he wants, but i don't want him to stop until he can at least swim the proper strokes confidently. he is also into his 2nd year of auskick and just loves it, he will also be doing milo cricket in the summer and being such the sporty kid he is  wants to do running (little athletics), basketball, hockey, golf and goodness knows what else he thinks of - where am i going to find the time and money lol
well girls i think lani is officially a tom boy - boohoo, no matter how much i do her all pretty she does prefer to play with her brothers toy cars rather than her dolls (although she does take dolly's pram around the house but squeals in delight at crashing it into the wall) and at auskick on saturday she took great delight in splashing around in her gumboots in the muddy puddles and yup you guessed it she fell right in the mud pmsl, you know the sort the football oval mud that is filthy and stinks ewwwwwwwwww, i made as good attempt as i could get at cleaning her up and she was jumping in it again, i have never heard her laugh so much it was cute. and today at school pickup here she is dancing in the rain, standing under the gutter catching the drips into her mouth and jumping in all the puddles, she was actually seeking out the puddles whilst holding my hand, she was pulling me towards them - oh she is cute and adorable tho.
anyway enough about my little family a big hello to all of you - and i promise (yeah right) to try and do a little catch up each day.
right i am off to bd - we are getting close to that time again lol

Yasin had his first owie with blood yesterday. He fell over and split his lip and there was blood everywhere. I was on the phone to my sister and I swore and hung up on her - its funny how all your manners go out the window when you think your bub is hurt. I felt a bit silly later because it wasn't really serious but I've never seen Yasin bleed before so it freaked me out. When the drama died down I took a photo of his blood stained shirt for his memory box - I'm so lame  .
We got a new kitty for Yasin and Imran. He is a Tonkinese and he is the exact same colour as my carpet (beige). We called him Mr Bigglesworth or Biggles for short.
Jessica, I agree with Michelle, I think playgroup would be great. I'm dying to take Yasin but with my no car (DH bought me one but we're still waiting for it to arrive), no licence, living miles from public transport situation its a bit difficult to get there. I can't wait until I get my transport under control. I'm such a homebody at the moment and I'm getting a bit sick of it. Do you know where to find a copy of the Melbourne's Child magazine. I've got heaps of ideas from Sydney's Child in the last couple of years. There are always ads for lots of differant activities as well as the articles.
Kellee, how is Charlie going in his new bed? We're thinking of buying a bunk at the moment. DH ends up in Yasin's bed quite often so if we get one of those ones with a double at the bottom he would be more comfy and in a few years Yasin could move to the top bunk and Imran could have the bottom one. I always wanted a bunk when I was a kid so I'm getting the boys one. They're lucky I never had an unfullfilled desire for a barbie LOL.
Michelle, LOL at Lani in the puddles. Yasin likes crashing his stuff too. It drives me nuts because no matter how many times I tell him it wakes the baby he just keeps doing it. Mum used to get the taped books for long car journeys. I forgot all about them until you mentioned them.
Imran is asleep on my lap but I should put him down and have a shower while I have the chance (yes - I'm still in my PJ's  )

Hi there!
Tegan: like Mitch said: some start early, some later... Wolf has very little teeth on the other hand... hey and Lily can catch a ball which is awesome! It's so funny how differently they develop. Talked to friends on the weekend and their 2 year old wasn't walking until 18 months but has a dozen or so teeth...
and re. picking up / teaching words... say a swear word accidentally and I bet she will suddenly repeat it :D
Dachlostar: that's so cute about Yasin kissing the pink girl in the book. Wolf definitely likes girls... especially older ones!
sorry to hear about your cat. siamese can be schizo. my aunt breeds them and she has one that is absolutely nuts and I am actually afraid of him, he will *****slap you in the face!! no claws - but it's such a shock when he does it.
Michelle (mitch): well... we got the Phil & Ted's and then flew to Switzerland where it broke on the flight, just 3 days old! It was broken again on the return flight 2 days later and now is totally wrecked. I am beyond pi$$ed off, especially as they are hard to get hold of here in the UK (4-6 week wait unless you are lucky and find someone who has them on stock)
PPH is post partum haemmorage (sp?).
very true re. men not being able to stop...
It's so nice to see so many pregnant again or TTC. I am definitely having a break for a while though I do think we will go back for no. 3
Hi Kellee. Well re. prams... my P&T experience has not been so great and I don't like where / how the baby lies in it. I think it's a great pram from 6 months when the second one can sit upright. And definitely don't fly with it. I have heard many stories now from people whose axel and/or frame broke on the flight. Don't worry about the comments (I know, easier said than done, I got so many as well... it can be annoying). Funny enough they will stop once no. 2 is there.
Arrrg, sciatica, I had that too. 4 weeks to go... not long now! Just remember that!!! You're on the homestretch.
Oh and back to the pram topic: another option (if you are in the city especially) is the McLaren twin traveller. It takes newborns and toddlers and it is an umbrella stroller but the seat can be fully reclined for a newborn. The P&T can be bought at Baby Bunting in Oz I've been told for AUD 550. I think the McLaren is cheaper than that. I have heard lots of positive comments about the P&T but after buying it am not so impressed with it .. .maybe my expectations were too high after all the raving I had heard.
Jo, I had the exact same thing "Oh, it's definitely a boy, you are all out the front"... well Zara is definitely a girl... (I didn't know the gender)... I think people just feel like they need to comment... and sometimes the comments can be rather stupid. Try to take it as a positive and appreciate that people are taking an interest (I know it's hard to stay positive sometimes...)
Well, I can say that so far having 2 close together has been wonderful. Sure, it's exhausting and your second one will often have to cry while the first born pulls you somewhere or chucks a tanty which is so much harder to ignore than a little newborn's cries... but when I see Wolf bringing her toys or cuddling her and kissing her, I think it's wonderful that he has a little sibling and I can't wait for Zara to be old enough to play with her big brother.
Well, what can I report from here... Wolf has a cold... arrrrg.. I can't wait for summer. I hate the cold and flu season! But he is quite happy.
We are having a funny eating stage at the moment which can be frustrating. He used to eat really well but recently it can be so tricky to get him to eat something aside from vegemite toast... *sigh*
Snowy

Good going Snowy I thoink you did an excellent post by the way.
Bugger that pram, I would be ****ty too. Nice to hear you thinking about no.3 down the track. Hope Wolf is better soon.
Just a quick post have work to do and should be doing it LOL
HI to everybody hope you are enjoying the rain, that's ifyou're getting it!
best wishes Michelle

Jessica – glad that you had a chat to DH. It would be scary if you fell pg and then he decided he wasn’t sure. Sounds like Aidan is having fun in the pool! I keep meaning to take Charlie to swimming – maybe when the baby comes it will be a nice thing to do just the two of us.
Mooshie – sounds like your little family is doing very well. LOL at Lani playing in the mud. Sometimes there’s just no point in cleaning them if they’re just going to get dirty again right away! Good luck with the BD – I suppose the practicing part must be fun anyway! Bet DH is having a ball! I will be thinking of you and hoping that this month is your month.
Dach – poor Yasin! Blood just makes it all seem worse, doesn’t it? I’m sure your sister understands! Hope he’s ok now. LOL at still being in your pj’s – I remember what that’s like! That’s my one resolution to myself when the baby comes, that I WILL have a shower every morning. Otherwise I feel even more tired all day – there’s something about having a shower that wakes you up. Hope you’re enjoying your little ones.
Snowgirl – I ended up buying the P and T yesterday and I know what you mean about the newborn position. We couldn’t figure it all out. Seems like you have to buy ANOTHER accessory for it, on top of the extra toddler seat. All up, with the seat and shadecover it cost about $650, so I’m hoping it’s all worth it! We’ll have another fiddle around with it and see how we go. What a pain about the flying and your pram! Have you got something to use in the meantime? Thanks for writing that you’re enjoying having the two so close – gives the rest of us hope! Sometimes I wonder how I’m going to do it all.
Hi Mitch! Hope you’re getting some ‘me time’ in amongst all that working too.
Not much to report. Feeling really tired – have been out the last three afternoons so I haven’t been able to have my regular sleep when Charlie does. He’s been at Mum’s the last two arvos, and was home with DH on Sunday. He doesn’t have a bed at Mum’s but he kept getting out of bed during his arvo sleep on Sunday and DH ended up putting him in the cot. Not today though – I don’t care how many times I have to go in there, he is sleeping in that bed! It’s not like there are any toys in there to distract him or anything. So I may be back later if he keeps getting out – I can post on here while I’m getting annoyed! I hope he sleeps though because I really need one too. And I want him to be used to the bed during the day before No. 2 comes. He’s great at night though, so that’s something.
Anyway, someone is demanding that I read him “Cat In The Hat†so I’d better go! Have a lovely day, everyone.
-
Hello lovely ladies, I haven't been on for a while, so I will quickly try and catch up with what's happening!
Kellee, not long to go now, not suprised you're feeling tired, I'm feeling it and I've got a few weeks on you! How is Charlie & his bed going? Hope he is getting the hang of his day sleeps in there. Glad to hear that you got the pram sorted, another job done!
Snowy, thank you so much for your positive report on having 2 close together...that is exactly what I needed to hear at the moment, when the rest of the world seems to want to scare me instead of reassure me! Anyway, that is a real bummer about the P&T, I would be pretty angry!! I hear you on the fussy eating...it is so frustrating, when Kaleb used to eat anything & everything, I can see his fussiness developing day by day, especially with vegies and meat.
Dach, ouch at poor Yasin's injury, I would have been freaking out. Kaleb got his first 'egg' a couple of nights ago...he's got one of those pop-up tents, but instead of sitting in it he likes to crawl around the floor in it, like a hamster ball. He walked right into the side of his wardrobe, and a lump swelled right up. I was a bit panicky, but he was fine, cried for about 10 seconds then he was off again. DH keeps telling me that there'll be plenty more where that came from, so I'll have to toughen up. Anyway, hope Biggles is settling into his new home!
Mooshie, LOL at your little tomboy, she sounds adorable! And what a sporty little dude you have, sounds like Lani is taking after her big brother!
Jess, sounds like you are being very sensible about TTC, and letting DH decide for himself. Hope that he has come to a positive conclusion! Glad to hear that Aidan is enjoying swimming lessons.
Mitch, hope you're well and keeping busy, no doubt!
Not much else to report here, have just been busy selling my old car and doing paperwork, yukko. So much to do before the baby gets here, and although I'm getting stuff done, there is always so much more still to do!
-
Well we had a busy day today. Had a picnic/bbq at the park for lunch. Lily met a new friend, a little girl about 2, also named Lily! They looked so cute together playing with a ball, but then my Lily got a bit shy and run away to daddy, lol.
Went to a friends place last night and Lily went wild. She was so hypo and kept stamping her feet, was so funny.
Snowy - glad your 2 littlies are going well. Im so scared at how Lily will react when this one is born. She hugs her dolls and stuff but also hit them and bashes them around, im scared she might think bub is a doll lol.
Jo - i hate the comment people give like that and think they know better. I mean if it was ebcause your belly is way out there then its cr@p because i was massive with Liyl and she is definatly a girl and i read that if you a on the shorter side then you tend to stick out more because bub has no room to grow upwards, which makes more sence. I'm feeling huge already. I look over 20 weeks but im only 17 weeks, eek!
Kellee - im pram hunting too and i just can't find anything i like. I need one that has 2 seats, one behind the other. There are not many around and they're expensive.
Sorry to those ive missed. I hope you're allwell!
-
Jo – wow, sounds like you’re busy atm! So have you actually sold the car or just put it on the market? And are you getting another one?
Tegan – how cute about Lily finding a little friend! And I love it when they put on a show for friends – especially if they’re childless friends. They never quite know what to think! I hope you have some luck finding a pram – it’s such an important purchase because if you get the wrong one you’ll regret it for ages. What kind of thing do you need it for? I particularly needed a jogging pram but if you don’t need a jogger the Babylove Tribute seemed to be pretty good. It’s a bit on the heavy side but it folded up well and looked comfortable for the baby. I’ll let you know how the P and T goes. I reckon it’s pretty cool atm, but I just need to see how the newborn fits into it before I give it the thumbs up.
Nothing much to report here either, I’m afraid. All we really did today was grocery shopping. Felt good actually – I’ve been too tired to a) write a proper menu plan and grocery list, or b) actually do the shopping at all so we’ve been eating like crap recently. I usually eat pretty well and my body can tell the difference. So I organised myself well today and have everything planned and bought for until the next pay, which feels good. Sad that that was the highlight of my day, isn’t it? Good news on the bed front too – Charlie has slept well in his bed in the daytime for the past two days. Yesterday I had to get up to him once to put him back, but not at all today. I was really proud of him. I’m so glad we’ve got that sorted. I really thought we wouldn’t get it done in time. There’s still so much to do though – I have to get our mattresses and lounge steamcleaned, set up the bassinet, properly clear out the baby’s room (it’s nearly done), pack my hospital bag… I don’t think it’s really sunk in that I don’t have much time left. I’d better get cracking!
Anyway, off to watch Lost. Hello to everyone I’ve missed, and have a lovely night.
-
hi girls - im back again!
spent a few days in bris doing my car handover etc - ive never sold a car before always just traded them in so it was kind of sad to get rid of my bmw as it was my single girl car but too hard with only two doors so now i have a big holden! we have just come back from a week at broadbeach which was great & eliana had fun seeing so much of her dad though im glad to be back home just the two of us - eliana loved seaworld (they had 1/2 price yearly passes so we will be able to go back a few more times) mum's looking after eliana tomorrow so i get to go scrapbooking & have some time to myself (probably only about the 20th time since she was born that ive gone out by myself)
i will try & catch up on some personals tomorrow - eliana is still awake & seems to not like her cot tonight (think it's cause she slept on the floor on a mattress while away)
hope everyone has a great weekend
-
Hey Mel! Good to have you back. Sounds like you've been busy! LOL at having a 'family' car now... I bet it makes a big change from the sporty single chick car. Don't worry, our car is a very 'family' car too - I call it the Big Red Car because it's a red stationwagon. Glad you had a nice time away - it's great that you're still on good terms with Eliana's dad. Hope you have a lovely time scrapbooking.
Bit worried about my boy - he's his normal happy self, but over the last few days I've been noticing some dark circles under his eyes. I get them too, but usually only when I'm really tired. It's hereditary on both sides of his family but it makes me wonder if there's something more sinister going on. Might have to take him to the doctor when I go for my checkup next week... anyone else experienced this?
Anyway, home day today. I have a gig tonight so I'm just going to hang out here and do a bit of housework and RELAX. Hope you all have a rad Friday.
-
kellee - never heard of toddlers with dark circles under his eyes but if it runs in the family hopefully it isnt anything to worry about - is charlie sleeping well at night? how is he going in his big bed? im tempted to move eliana into hers (i got a disney princess toddler bed that uses her cot mattress) as when we were away she slept on the floor & didnt wander too much & isnt liking her cot atm
-
Kellee - Lily also has a dark patch under her eyes, kinda looks like a panda at times. I think it is just because she is tired, it's not there all the time.
-
Thanks guys for saying that about your bubs’ eyes. I have to admit that I was worried. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does it almost looks like someone has punched him!
Mel – Charlie is being a trooper about his big bed. We had a few interrupted days where we weren’t at our house during his sleep time (we were at Mum’s and she has only got a cot) but as soon as we got back into it at home he’s been great. It was a bit of a process, but he’s slept in there for four days straight now. I’m very proud of him! When are you thinking of trying it with Eliana?
Not much going on here. Had another ‘home day’ today. I got a burst of inspiration this morning and DH was laughing at me. He reckoned I was running around and talking like someone who had Tourettes’s Syndrome – a bit manic and high energy. I wish I could do more ‘cleaning’ stuff – you know, like sweeping and mopping, but it aggravates my sciatica so I have to be content with simple tidying. At least the baby’s room is all sorted now (except for the cot which DH needs to unscrew, take out of Charlie’s room and reassemble in the baby’s room). I’m starting to think that I won’t use a bassinet after all. Little ones don’t move around much, and I intend to have the baby in his own room from the beginning this time (otherwise I don’t get any sleep) so I might just put him straight in the cot.
I have my pseudo baby shower tomorrow. It’s not really a baby shower because I don’t want to do the whole presents thing, but I needed an excuse to go out for a fancy afternoon tea! I’m really looking forward to it. It will be nice to spend some time with some ladies – I’m a bit outnumbered around here, and I’m about to be more outnumbered! We still haven’t got a name and I’m a bit worried. Although I did a Google search for William and Robert combined with our last names to see who has the same name… I came up with football players, senators and, surprisingly enough, jazz musicians for both! Isn’t that cool? And I looked up Charlie’s too – there was a Charlie who was a jazz musician as well, and one who served in the same battalion as my Poppa in Korea! Weird, huh? You guys should do it and see what comes up – I was laughing the whole time.
Anyway, time to eat some chocolate and see what’s on TV. I meant to get out “The Producers” tonight but I forgot. Might have to settle for the footy. Bah. Have a lovely night, everyone.
-
I just typed Lily's in and it came up with someone in the census and someone in the Ulverstone District Births, whatever that is!
-
Kellee, Charlie has the same name as my brother. I noticed when I looked at your www.
-
just a quick one re.the Phil & Teds: you need a cocoon for the baby... yes. another item to buy...... i wonder if it's not too hot for oz.... but i guess you can leave it unzipped...
-
hi girls
thought i would post as i have been playing around on here, and i must say i really do like this new style
anyway i will catch up in a few days, i am a bit buggered, had a family birthday for ds today he turned 6 years old had a great day, all up about 30 people (adults and kiddies) mostly dh's family but hey it was a great day. can't believe my boy is 6 :( gosh they grow up sooooooooooo quickly.
sorry for the colors, i was playing around this is so cool. anyway i am off to bed.

Hi all,
This place looks great!
I know its been a long time for me but I thought I might just say G'Day!
Wow! snowgirl, a littla girl! Hope it all went well?
My troops are all doing what kids do best, growing too fast!
Levi is keeping us all amused with his funny little anticks, tonight my DH was cooking tea as I havent been well and Levi thought it was taking too long so he made his way onto the kitchen table , found some left-overs from his sisters afternoon tea and sat up quite happy with himself.
My reaction says alot about my state of mind and Levi being #6.
I grabbed the camera and took a photo then casually took him off the table.
I have to say that my first four would never have climbed on the table, #5 well we cant keep her still for 2 seconds!
Hope you dont mind me saying hi when I get the time?
It's really nice to see some familiar names.

Hi everyone,
Kellee, I know one of the babies in Mothers Group had circles under her eyes and the doctor said it was related to hayfever/sinus stuff. HTH?
Well I had a 'Learning Ladder' party this morning. It went really well and I get $100 worth of free stuff for Aidan. If you haven't heard of it, they sell educational toys and books. Really great stuff. I have a lot of cleaning to do as some of the babies are completely let loose in other peoples homes (makes me so mad) but I expected it anyway.
I think I had a mild dose of hand, foot and mouth disease again (no, I am not a mad cow!) as I have blisters all over my tounge. I am not happy about it and praying that it doesn't get worse like last time when I couldn't eat, drink or talk for 3 days. Has anyone had it themselves (supposedly it is rare in adults???!!) and do you suggest any relief methods? I made sure I kept well away from all the kids, even my own, although I think I am getting over it now.
We missed the TTC#2 boat this month as I have been unwell and DH had a stomach bug so here's hoping for a more pro-active May!
Hope everyone is well.
-
just thought id pop in & say hi & hope everyone is having a good week
we went to australia zoo today (it's only 15mins down the road & have yearly passes) eliana loved it - she is so into animals at the moment & does impersonations of heaps of animals - she was fascinated by the elephants after feeding one, just about pulled a koala out of a tree (i have never moved so fast to rebalance the poor thing) thought standing on a kangaroos tail was fun (another fast movement by me to remove her) & she was finally gentle with a goat that was trying to eat the toy attached to her pram!
i am having heaps of problems getting eliana to go to bed at night since we were away - she just screams & cries & even if i go & lie down with her she throws herself around - even boobie won't calm her down - she is quite happy to be out here with me till i go to bed around 11pm & then she sleeps in till 10am! i dont know what else to try to get her back to her normal time (when we were away she was going to be at her normal time) so have no idea why she has turned into a night owl
-
Dach – your brother must be incredibly cool if he shares Charlie’s name! What a legend!
Snowgirl – I had a feeling I might need to buy a cocoon. V. annoyed. The lady in the shop said nothing about it. I’ll see when he gets here if I can make do without one.
Mooshie – Happy Birthday to Josh! Wow, they grow up so fast! I hope you had a lovely time.
Hi TDBear! I don’t think I’ve chatted to you before. We’d love to have you pop in when you can. I can’t believe you’ve done this SIX TIMES! What a trooper you are! Gives me hope!
Jessica – thanks for the tip. I hadn’t thought of the hayfever thing. I get really bad allergies so maybe that’s it. I’ll ask the GP. I love those Learning Ladder parties, but it’s a shame that your guests didn’t watch their kids better. I have a friend who is a bit like that. I just don’t have them over because I can’t stand it! Sorry to hear that ttc didn’t work out this month – hope May is it for you!
Not much to say, I’m afraid. Charlie is being lots of fun atm – I’m enjoying the time with him before there’s four of us instead of three. He’s being a bit cheeky though – when he’s doing something he’s not supposed to (depending on what it is) we often use a version of the ‘naughty corner’. It’s spot in the hallway and he usually responds really well. For example, when we got our new TV cabinet he kept playing with the doors but after a few times ‘down the hallway’ he learned and he hasn’t done it since. But he keeps playing with his bedroom door and it’s the bane of my life! He’s been ‘down the hallway’ so many times and he’s not learning. Not sure what to do. I can’t find a doorstop the right size and it’s so annoying! Any ideas?
Anyway, House is on so I’m off. Hope you’re all well.
-
Sorry Mel, we must have posted at the same time! Glad you enjoyed your day out - I've been meaning to take Charlie there. Hope Eliana goes back to her 'normal' bedtime routine soon - sometimes it can take them a bit to adjust after a trip away. Good luck!
-
Hi all!
Jessica-IKWYM about parents who dont keep an eye on their kids in your home. Have to admit im not as fussed by it as much as i used to be. I just enjoy having visitors! But i try and make an effort when im out, so i dont hesitate to let the child know whats acceptable in our home and i say it in front of their mum!
As for HF&M, try teething gel, its great for any mouth issues. I hope it clears soon.
Mel-Dont you just love to see kids interacting with animals? we have quite a menagerie (mainly due to animal loving me!)and one of our many pets is our Blue touge, 'Lizzy'. Our 3&1/2yo just loves giving her a cuddle every day(when she's not in hibernation that is!). Would just be fantastic to take the kids to Australia Zoo. Wow, you do live in a great place!
Isnt it anoying when you think their routine is just where you want it and then something throws them out! Have you tried bed-time stories in bed or something of that nature? It really is that age though where they are testing the limits but are also still little bubbies! Im sure youll work it out in good time.
Kellee-KWYM with the door thing! Two of our boys have been door boys at around the same age! GO the time out spot! In this case you may want to try destracting him with some toy that has a door or give him something else he can open and close. Maybe an engineer in the making!LOL. Wont be long till he's 10 & 1/2 and using his drum sticks on the furniture! (We fixed that problem with a drum kit in the shed! VG investment!)
OK time to go! All the best!

Hio girls I missed heaps witht the cahnges and still aren't really caught up
ASo this is a general Hi to youall.
I got my new fridge/freezer and Arron is pulling apart the house. We had to adapt the old pantry and lose some of our wardrobe to fit the fridge and move all the food into the linen cupboard and all the linen into boxes lOL Our whole wardrobe had tpo be emptied and all the stuff is piled around our room, it looks like an old lady hoarders house pmsl piles of clothes and boxes of books etc. we almost had to sleep in the lounge the other night cos everything was piled on the bed. The fridge is in and going, and he is at this moment working on the pantry, but he can't use the compressor cos it's too late, so will have to wait till tomorrow now. Thank goodness
hugs to you all
Mcihelle

HI girls
just a flying visit trying to make sure that I am registered to rec notifications from the threads I want to chat in
Hope you all have a good day
Michelle
-
Hi girls, sorry I've been absent for so long, been pretty busy, and am still learning to manouevre around these new forums!
Michelle, woohoo for the new fridge/freezer, I am jealous! Hope your house is back in order for you now though.
TDBear, lovely to hear from you, your words of wisdom and experience are very welcome!
Kellee, Kaleb is obsessed with doors too, if he finds one that he can open (I have them all pinned back) he is in heaven. Glad that you are having lots of fun with Charlie ATM...not long to go now!
Jess, good luck with the TTC next month, hope you nail it quickly!
Hey Mel, must have been a good day for the zoo on Wed, as we went to Alma Park Zoo! I had an adults at kids prices voucher I wanted to use before the baby gets here. It was pretty good, Kaleb enjoyed it. Of all the exotic animals there, his favourite was the pigs...he was laughing hysterically, I don't think anything has ever made him laugh like that before. Some animals he wasn't really interested in, much to DH's disgust - he expects far too much of Kaleb sometimes - but there was a few school excursions going on and lots of kids running around which Kaleb was distracted by. Anyway, sorry to hear about Eliana's bedtime dramas, I hope for your sake it's just a phase. Kaleb is not the perfect sleeper he once was, some nights it takes him ages to go off (he doesn't cry, he just kicks the wall and whinges a bit) and I've found this happens more if we've had a lazy afternoon. If I keep him really active after his daytime nap he tends to go off better at night, but not always, so who knows?
Got a bit of a cold at the moment, so I'm feeling pretty lazy. Got so much to do before the baby gets here, but DH is on holidays next week, so I'm looking forward to having his help!

Jo - sorry you're not feeling well. That sucks. And it's hard been crook while you're pg too because you can't take anything for it. What a pain. Glad you had fun at the zoo too. I think it's high time my little boy went too.
Mitch - hope your house is back together now! I hate when everything gets pulled apart like that but provided it gets put back properly it's ok. How's the business going? Do you have any time to yourself? I bet you don't!
Had MIL and mum over today to help DH do some odd jobs around the place. It was manic! I quickly grabbed Charlie and went to do some grocery shopping - I didn't want to be here for that! It was just too many domineering women in one house at one time and I didn't need to contribute to that! At least lots of stuff is getting done. Of course, we chose this particular evening (after we'll be tired from cleaning and stuff) to have three friends over for dinner. We are IDIOTS. I'm cooking a seven hour lamb roast with garlic and oregano, and rhubarb pudding cake for dessert. Mmm. I hope it works out ok. Pity I can't get drunk with them tonight! Oh well, not long now... one girl from my Belly Buddies thread has already had her bub and two are in labour as I write. There are only about 5 of us 'regulars' left, so that's a bit scary. Makes it all a bit more real. I still haven't packed my bag yet! I'm still in denial a little bit - you would have thought I'd be used to the idea after 9 months. I wonder how Charlie will cope? He's become a bit cheeky of late (in a naughty way) so things could be interesting. We'll see.
Anyway, should go and clean up the mess all these people have made in my house! Hope you're all well.

Hi girls
Kellee pmsl at the 2 mums halping DH do jobs, I owuld have left too if I was you. I can't believe you are at the end of your pg that went so fast. Not long now and you can have a drink, although if you breastfeed well that will be a setback lol
I am working hard, getting better at it, making hardly no errors now which is good for the pocket cos mistakes cost money lol Had nothing to do weds morning and 6 orders by the end of the day so its good
Kids are well, I am off to dinner tonight with a friend and her dad, and arron will be here with the ids, he is in the ****s, been storming round the house cos he reckons its not clean enough, but he is yet to finoish all the cupboards and stuff. Why his main priority is having a spotless house is beyond me, esp when he is not a tidy person himself, I am trying to get him to understand how shallow that is, but he says if people come imagine what they will think. Point is I really don't give a **** if someone thinks I don't keep a clean enough house, because those people aren't people I want to be around IYKWIM!
Hello to everybody else hope all your bubs are well and sleeping

For those TTC, hang in there! I'm thinking of you!
DH has all but the bub with him down the street as i type!
I so love Mothers Day!
Have a great weekend,
Love TDBear.
-
Happy Mothers day right back at ya TDBear! Hope you hve a great day.
I know there are not much in the way of pressies this year, not much cash and all LOL, but I have a new fridge so not too worried. My gf got a plasma screen!!! Lucky her LOL
Happy mothers day to all!
cheers Michelle
-
Woah, Michelle, a plasma screen! I don't even think I'll get flowers or anything. I remember that DH thought I didn't make a big enough deal out of it when he gave me flowers the day after Charlie was born. Well EXCUSE ME if I've just been through 17 hours of labour and I'm a bit tired! Silly men. A fridge is pretty cool though (sorry, bad joke!) so you've done pretty well.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I hope that you are all spoiled rotten and that you have a lovely day.
-
i hope everyone has a great day too & at least a little time to themselves for a relax
i was quite surprised that ex DP bought me an huge george foreman grill - so now i can cook without worrying about the gas catching fire here!
i am going with my family down to mooloolaba spit so the kids can play in the park & also at the beach & we get to have a yummy seafood picnic :)
-
What a nice thing for ex DP to do! Hope Eliana behaves for you (as I hope Charlie behaves for me!) and that you have a great time at the beach. That picnic sounds yummy!
-
hi girls
happy mothers day
melbee - i love it down at mooloolaba spit - have fun btw that was nice of ex to buy you a pressie
kellee - you still around lol, lol at not getting excited about flowers after 17hrs labour
michelle - hope you are have a nice day
tdbear - i like that idea of having all the kids off your hands, have a nice day
hi to everyone else and hope you are having a lovely day.
i have had a nice day jay didn't get up till 8am and lani 8.30am which was great (she is knackered as we went to a party yesterday) anyway i got my slippers i wanted and also jay got me a pot and gardening gloves and bits and pieces from the mothers day stall, very cute however i don't garden, i think he got them more for him pmsl.
i didn't get brekky in bed cause had mum and dad come over and dh and dad cooked breakfast we had bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes done on the bbq with hollandaise sauce and couisants and champagne followed my cappacino's twas very yummy.
i think dh and ds are cooking dinner for me, i am spending most of my day trying to get the washing done and dry i would leave it usually but it is dh work gear and ds school uniform that needs to be done - why oh why does our school have a white uniform the cuffs are black not to mention the stains left by mud from playing footy on the oval - spraying with stain remover then 3 days of soaking in napisan oxy then washing twice still has not got them clean - arrhhhhhhhh think i will did the sleeves into bleech lol.
have a great day
chat soon

i was quite suprised by the grill - he has made more effort this year than last! he even went out this morning (he is up here staying so he gets to see eliana as i know he wouldn't cope with her by himself) & got he papers & yummy things from the bakery, got me nice card that he traced eliana's hand into & actually helped out alot with her - he went back to bris to see his mum & eliana & i had a great time - she loves playing with her cousins & the park was good - eliana loved the beach & squealed at the water even when it knocked her over - i should take advantage of living so close to the beach more often i just take it for granted
michelle - sounds like you have had a great day - lol at jay getting you gardening things! hope your dinner was yum - im too buggered to cook & eliana has been asleep since 3:30pm!
-
Mooshie - what an awesome Mother's Day! The brekky sounds yummy and yay for your sleep in! Hope you had a nice dinner too. Good luck with ttc this month - how do you think you went?
Mel - sounds like you had a great day too. LOL at ex DP not being able to cope on his own! Men...
Hope that everyone had a lovely Mother's Day. Ours was ok, I suppose. Until the kids are older I think the emphasis will still be on my mum and MIL, but I'm looking forward to the day I get breakfast in bed! But I hope it happens more than once a year...
Off to see if any other May ladies have gone into labour and then an early night. Have a lovely Monday, everyone.
-
hey kellee, gotta watch my son lol, he wanted to give me nutri grain for breakfast in bed with his milk (soya milk blerrgh) lol, luckily i had to get up cause my parents were coming around.
dinner was lovely, pretty plain just chicken schniztels with vegies but hey it was soooooooo cool i didn't even go into the kitchen i just laid down in front of the fire and read the paper BLISS
btw ttc = arhh who knows, i think every month maybe my month - thought i was in for a chance but ff took away my coverline, just guess i will wait and see what happens, tho if af arrives she better come before 26th may - thats when i am going for my annual girls weekend away = full on spa treatments etc etc, so bad to do that if i have af - arhhh.
anyway hope you all had a lovely day and i will update with personals soon.
-
Sounds like Mothers day went well for most, that is so good!
Hi Michelle, I have missed you! Sounds like a lovely day, gotta love kids making brekky.
Mel- lucky you and good on ex dp for being a good man!
Kellee- you're right about Mothers day getting better when the kids get older.
I got up at 8am cos IO wanted to embroider towels and facewashers for MIL and my mum for Mothers day and hadn't had a chance yesterday cos we went out. Bf I could start though I had to dew out 7 designs so I could work out what I wanted. That took over an hr. And I finally finished everything at about 2pm, and I didn't even stop for lunch. The I had to drive all over town to find mothers day cards for both of them cos I was slack and didn't get them earlier. That'll teach me for being slack. I got a Xyron sticker machine (I brought that for myself), Jordan got me from the mothers day stall, a glass bowl with a glass bird next to it, a glass paperweigth with a unicorn imprint inside, a little angel (glass again, a worry angel), Josh got me a hairbrush and nail kit and some makeup brushes, Jemma made me a bookmark at kinder. Arron gave me a card which said You got a fridge for Mothers Day and I was really a bit upset. I know mothers day isn't about money but the kids spent $16 at the mothers day stall and the other thing cost me $30. Now I always spend enough to get arron some really cool stuff and I had said that if he didn't have the money I was happy for him to make a voucher so I can go shopping cos I need clothes, and he didn't. So I had a sook about it. Seems shallow I guess but he made NO effort. Not even with his own mothers pres, I told him this morning when he went out to get her a plant and he didn't, meaning I had to, plus I had the towel and facewasher. So if I hadn't done that he would have had nothing for her. He is going to give me the $200 for shopping later when we have it but it's not the point, I felt like he really didn't give a **** cos he put no thought into it, although he did get cards this year that said Happy mothers day instead of Merry Xmas or Happy bday.
Only got home from mums at 10.20pm, MIL dropped in here about 5pm and we went to mums and had tea.
Anyway I hope the rest of you had a lovely day
hugs Michelle

mitch - sorry arron wasnt more thoughtful - it doesnt take alot of effort (im still suprised by richards effort) even if he got you something little to go with the fridge plus he gets to use the fridge too!! at least the kids got you some cute things - the towels you are doing sound great - will have to keep them in mind as i hadnt thought of it for anyone cept kids!
kellee - i too am looking forward to when eliana is older & can get something herself for me - im pretty sentimental so things like that will mean alot - not too more many days left till you are a family of 4!!!!!
mooshie - hearing about jay still makes me smile, his little gardening set & breakie with his milk lol - dinner where i dont have to go into the kitchen would be bliss
not having an overly exciting day - just putting away washing & need to sort through eliana's clothes & paak away the more summery ones that might fit next summer & then need to get my a**e into gear & list the rest on ebay - we were out with the horse before & the chickens get into their paddock & eliana chases them - well she chased a chicken towards a horse & dont think ive seen a horse move out of the way faster (he's 14 so not real fast) its my dad's bday today so will be going over to my parents after school time with eliana's cousins
hope everyone is having a great day

Michelle - silly men. See, the thing is that they don't realise that thoughtful (not necessarily expensive, either) presents and housework is the best foreplay that they could probably ever provide us, so it's their loss, really! My DH didn't get me anything either, but he did spend 2 days making the downstairs area clean, organised and baby-proof (it looked like a bomb had hit it and I just couldn't deal with it), so I suppose that's something nice. I hope that Aaron has learned his lesson. IKWYM about MIL though - Tom wouldn't have thought to get his Mum anything if it weren't for me. *sigh* At least your kids got you some lovely stuff. How cute! Hope you're having a better day today.
Mel - had to laugh at the horse! I can understand his fear, as Eliana looks like such a scary girl! Not! That would be so cute to see. Good girl organising her clothes though - that's such a big job. I hope you have some luck on eBay. I just remembered how much I love eBay - I have 2 DVDs that I'm bidding for atm (so far I'm winning) for Charlie, and they're so much cheaper than new, AND I don't have to go out looking for them!
Had a big day today (for 9 month pregnant me, anyway). Went shopping to buy Charlie a present (a Thomas train) for when the baby comes. He's going to 'give' the baby his teddy bear that he used to love (he has two other ones now that he likes better) and the baby will 'give' him the train. I got all teary at the shops thinking about what that will be like! Tried to find some new teats (apparently Avent have some good ones) and the breast pads I used to use, but they are hard to find! Will have a look on my own when DH has a day off on Wednesday. Dr appt tomorrow, then getting the mattresses and lounges steamcleaned, then packing my hospital bag on Wednesday (I'm in denial!) and then No. 2 can come whenever he wants. Can't believe it's so close! BTW, can't remember if I told you about DH having trouble getting leave even though he put in for it in JANUARY... well, he found out today that he can't get any until 3rd JULY. Can you believe it? That means that the baby could be anything between 4 and 6 weeks old before DH gets some time off. I HATE his work. I am so angry about it, but I suppose we will just have to deal with it. Thank god my mum is a legend and is close by or I think I would probably go mental. If any of you who have two kids have any advice about what to do in the first few weeks, and how to cope, I would love to hear it!
Anyway, to top off my busy day I have to go and do a recording now... I'm so tired, but we need the money so I can't complain. Hope you're all having a lovely day.
