Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a little while! I hope you are all well!!

Jacob has just recently learnt how to give kisses - adorable!! It's so lovely....it just makes you want to melt!!! Cuddles and kisses from my boy are just the best thing in the whole wide world!!! Today he gave his Nanny a kiss and I think she nearly melted too! LOL

Bon - good luck with TTC. I agree - being a Mummy is definitely not highly valued in society. IMO it's the most important job in the world, yet the most underpaid one LOL. You also don't get any training. But having said that, you'll never find a job more rewarding either! I too find that people tend to look down their nose a bit when I say I'm a SAHM, particularly those who know that I used to work etc. A family member recently said to me "have you got a job yet" and I was so incredibly offended by that statement it's not funny! I couldn't believe they would be so bold as to stick their nose into our business like that. I was fairly quick off the mark and replied with "what, a job beyond the one that I already have? The job that I have that keeps me occupied 24/7 - no, being a Mummy is the most important job I can have". Still thinking about that comment gets me angry GRRR!!! *end of vent* LOL

Well Lily had her 12mth needles today. Bit late, but better late than never! She was so brave though, the nurse was really amazed to see she wasn't protesting very much. She's really grumpy now though, poor thing.

Melinda - How cute Jacob learning to kiss! Lily sorta does fish lips when i kiss her, it's cute.

Ok here it goes....

Firstly, apologies to all for my slackness in posting here, I have contemplated it for a few days but always think I wont have the time to respond to everyone and because I have missed so much, it makes me thinks PHWOAR i will never get through it all lol bit daunting! haha

In no particular order ...

Snowy - Sorry to hear about Wolf being not well, and for so long! :( poor lil man and like I just said, dont worry im very crap at keeping up with this forum and posting!

Melinda - How cute that Jacob is giving kisses, Jaykob does it with a big open mouth but makes the MWAH noise lol Hes been melting everyone too lol

Michelle - Woohoo on your new office! Hows it all looking, did you paint? Mine is so full of junk (no garage built yet) that I just have room to come in and sit down lol How was your anniversary? Did you end up staying out ?

Bon - Congrats on TTC #3, I like the relaxed approach you are taking, I hope it all goes well for you... :)

Jessica, WTG for Aidan walking!!! Jaykob is still a little off that yet but a confident stander iykwim How is your new job going? LOL @ lethal weapon ride and I had never heard about that ride theory! Im glad Aidan had a good time at the Zoo, I cant wait to take Jay!

Dach - How awesome that your bub is nearly here!!! How exciting for you! And lol @ your cheeky monkey - Jaykob is a climber too, he loves coffee tables! I have to admit, Im glad he cant open doors yet though 8-[ (our handles are too high)

Tegan - Good Luck with your upcoming move. Lol at your Xmas Tree still being up, I was so sick of ours that I got DP to take it down Jan 2nd, i was sick of the pine needles and Jaykob trying to eat them haha I had a quick look @ Lilys Site, She is just ADORABLE! and sooo cheeky :p

Jo - Glad to hear Kaleb is being an angel for you, I definitly know what you mean about them mood switching! Heres hoping the angel hangs around a lil longer ;)

Well Jaykob has been pretty good lately, Hes walking assisted by whatever he can find and standing very well by himself.. We still havent had his 12 month needles yet, theres a day on Wednesday but we are going away for 5 days that afternoon so I dont think the timing would be very good :/ see what happens... Hes completely past the chickenpox now, he has got at least two lil scars on his face from it though but you can hardly see them.

He has been saying 'ta" for a couple of weeks now and has started saying it when you hand him things which has been so cute.. No signs of any new teeth, still just the 8 in there... umm what else...

Hes been a little clingy at times but hes also been going to Nanas for a few hours on Friday nights, which while I miss him to bits, has been nice for DP and I to get to know each other all over again iykwim

Well best I be getting to bed, I have tonsilitis and am really very much OVER IT! lol i just want to be able to swallow my drink without pain! :(

Sorry to anyone I missed and I will try my hardest to keep up in future, at least I will get alerts now....

melinda- I used to work ft too, and I thought that being a SAHM would be a piece of cake esp since i already had 2 kids by thsat time, but it wasn't easy at all and I also found I was frustrated at being on this cleaning loop where all I seemed to do all day was clean. It is hard to listen to insensitive people, esp when they say what they said.

Tegan- I lol at Lily and the bed, she is so funny esp since she isn't walking but climbing like she is.

Jo- I don't know how they survive to tell you the truth, they just do!

Snowy- so good to hear things are ok with your pg and hope you can finally knock the broncitiis on the head.

Colleen- glad to see you back, I was wondering about you the other day. Glad things are going well with Jaykob.
Office is nowhere near being used as it is full of garage sale stuff. The date is yet to be set for the garage sale! So won't be for awhile.

Jess- how many lessons/hrs a week are you working? When are you starting to ttc!

We drove around for about 4 hrs looking for a place to stay friday night so Arron was pretty ****ed off to say the least. AND a woman walked out in front of us (just after I told arron to not drive stupidly in case someone stepped out on the road.) IT was so close too, he locked up the wheels and she had her hand on the bonnet so it was def her lucky day. We had a nice nightout though, and did some shopping the next day bf we came home. I have had Jemma up to the drs today, to check out her glands in her neck, which have been up for ages. We had to take her for a blood test and she was far from happy about that I can tell you. Results should be on tomorrow so I am ringing on Weds.

Hello everyone! Well, I posted a big post the other day, but for some reason it did post. How annoying!

Melinda – I am fuming now after reading that insensitive comment about how you haven’t got a ‘job’. Did you smack them out? I would have. Or I would have at least never spoken to that person again! And so cute about the kisses. I could never wait until the stage where Charlie gave me kisses and cuddles all the time. He’s so funny about it now – whenever I feel sick, he can tell and he gives me a cuddle. The funniest time is when I’m actually throwing up in the toilet (sorry, TMI!) and he comes behind me and gives me a cuddle because he knows I feel bad. It’s very sweet.

Tegan – don’t worry – Charlie hasn’t had his 12 month needles yet either. I have real issues about immunisations, as we know of one baby who died and one who is permanently brain damaged as a result of things going wrong with immunisations. I know I have to get it done, but I think I’ll space them out rather than getting them done in one hit. Wow at Lily climbing so much! I bet she will go straight to running and skip the walking stage – she sounds so clever!

Mitch – glad to see that you ended up enjoying yourselves on the weekend despite the mishaps. Sorry that Jess is feeling a bit crook. I hope that the test results tell you that it’s something minor that will clear up quickly.

Jessica – mother’s group sounds nice. Until now I had been put off the idea of going to one, but it might be a nice thing to do. One of the ladies from my pregnancy forum is moving to Bris, and she has a little girl a bit older than Charlie and she’s due the same time as me too, so I might meet up with her and see what happens.

Bon – congratulations on your decision. That’s really exciting! It will be lovely to have them all so close together too. You’ve got the rest of your life to “work” – enjoy the kids while you can, because one day they won’t want to hang out with us as much!

Jo – Re: Kaleb’s heart stopping moments… I have started taking a leaf out of Mitch’s book… she said once that sometimes you just have to close your eyes and not look! I suppose one way to look at it is that if they hurt themselves enough times they’ll learn not to do it (whatever it is – running into walls, etc.) again!

Anyway, not much to tell. Charlie and I have been forced to stay indoors recently due to me being sick again (I thought that phase was over!), the rain, and then the heat. Getting a bit stir crazy now. I was going to talk him for a walk to the park this morning, but it’s 31 degrees here and his heat rash will go crazy, so inside with the airconditioning it is. Not that I like it too much, but at least he will watch a couple of things on tv sometimes – Spot, Play School, Wiggles, Humphrey – so that he’s being entertained while we’re in confinement! I always said I wouldn’t be one to let him watch tv, but there you go. At least I sit there with him and talk him through everything, so I don’t feel like I’m using it as a “babysitter”, know what I mean? Can’t wait to be able to go outside again! Anyway, I think he’s getting sick of the computer room (AGAIN) so I’d better go. Hope you’re all well.

Hey Kellee- sorry to hear you are feeling unwell again, that is a bugger! Wow at being 22 weeks already, boy that has really flown (well for me anyway). Don't feel bad about tv, there are some really terrific programs esp on ABC tv, and I think they learn alot from them. Jemma knows her numbers up to 10 and she got it to begin with from TV, she is almost 3 so I was impressed (at 2 she knew the no. 6 and I didn't tell her). Sometimes you need a break and there isn't anything wrong with using the tv for that. I find that I let mine watch the shows that are ok for them in the morning and then klick them off the tv and they go to their rooms to play or outside.

Nothing to report here, just a bit lazy today. Hung out some washing, still more to hang though. It is cool today and very windy, only 7 sleeps till school goes back. I actually haven't been desperate for the kids to go back to school, they have been good, a few fights but not too bad.

sorry i haven't been posting in here, been hanging out in the ttc threads just to make my obsession more real lol - we took the whole ttc quite relaxed but after 7mths and time a ticking away (or a least my biological clock ticking) it has become a bit of an obsession.

i have been reading everyones news and it sounds like all the bubs are doing really well. i am going to make this thread the first thread i come into each day and then i can do daily personals, so i can keep up.

lani is going really well and omg at how much she talks (so much like me lol) jay has taught her a heaps of things especially animal noises lol - she says moo, miaw, woof, hehehe (monkey), tweet tweet, rar (tiger) and sssss (snake) she is so eager to learn and i find her copying everything i say - i reckon she would have at least 30 - 40 recognisable words - her favourite at the moment is dinner, up, unch (lunch), beky (breakfast), tic toc (favourite biscuits) and she says ello mummy to everyone except me lmao.

michelle - jay tells me each day how many more sleeps until school starts - i think he may be just a little excited lmao, it is so good he is cool about starting school, i am not tho lol, it dawned on me the other day that he will be out in that big playground at lunch time with around 700 or so kids at the school that is quite alot of new things to experience and then i thought holy **** what if he decides nah he has had enough of school for the day and walked out through the gate and tried to make his way home, i started getting heart palpitations thinking about it lol - i am guessing this would not happen tho - just another mummy worry thing i have happening.

well speaking of school i have a stack of iron on labels to put on the uniform, and all sorts of things to label and books to cover so i may do that today, before all the hot weather comes again and i can't be stuffed doing anything.

i vow to keep up in this thread.

MIchelle I can imagine Jay's excitement, it wouldn't hurt to just makeit clear to him that he can't leave the school grounds or go out of the gate unless you are there. I know when I taught preps some kids did need to be told things like that. At least then you will be sue that he does know. I am sure he will be fine it is us parents who seem to suffer the most LOL. I am an old hand now that I have 2 in school, but I am dreading Jemma and Jessica going to school I can tell you. It means I have to return to work but worst of all it means they are all grown up BOO HOO !!!

Have fun preparing all the uniform, I haven't even been to the shops yet, and Jemma is the only one with a lunchbox (she is going to 3 yo kinder, starts on the 2nd Feb)
gREat news abut Lani's vocab, Jemma and Jordan were the same as that, Jessica does actually know lots of words. I may sit down and work out how many, she did repeat after me "Let's get brekky!" came out as "ets et ekky", very cute and a surprise, her word for today was dangerous!!!!

haha Lily was just up to some mischeif and Jacob goes 'Lily what are you doing!' and she came crawling back out at lightning speed lol so funny.

Lily's 8th tooth is now coming up. Can see it but not feel it yet. Also think the 9th tooth is coming up somewhere because she keeps chewing on things on the other side.

Poor Lily's legs have bruises from the needles yesterday :( she keeps bumbing them and crying.

Tegan- I am sure Lily does understand, even if she doesn't say anything! Poor little bubba with her legs, she'll be better by tomorrow! No more now till 18mths, are they giving chicken poxs at 18 mths up there? I guess you won't be there then though, when is moving day? DOn't you hate computer crashes? I am on Mum's laptop, save that happening. I found out to get my pics off the computer and Onto memory sticks I can buy a cable (worth $12.95) and simply connect the laptop to my computer and transfer data. If I had of known that then the puter would be much easier to use, cos now I can get the pics off. I couldn't load a burner or a memory stick cos the memory was all taken up. We are hoping to organise our rental of the new laptop very soon, I was going to do it this weeek but thought I'd leave it till the kids go back to school now.

sorry i dont have time for personals
just a quick update on us - eliana & i are moving this weekend to the sunshine coast - im renting a great granny flat/cabin on 25 acres (my brothers boss lives in the main house & they have a little girl 10 days older than eliana) so im sooooooooo looking forward to living there plus there is a pool - so im busy packing everything we need & will still try & work things out with DP but both agreed we need our space
eliana is on the verge of walking - has taken a few tentative steps so will see how she goes having a yard to play in - her third molar has come through so hopefully her next teeth wont be too bad - i was just washing up & eliana was playing happily for her little kitchen when i came out she was sitting in the hugest pile of poo!!! she had it everywhere & had even painted herself with it - luckily she only had a nappy on but it has taken me ages to clean it all up - just what i need but luckily it is the first one!

Mel- good luck witht the move, it is nice to hear you seem excited, I hope things work out down the track the best way possible. Sounds like alot of space around you, 25 acres. Where do your parents live? It will be nice for Eliana to have a playmate too. Urgh at the nappy, kids are really gross aren't they? 2 of mine ate their poo once, won't name them, don't want to incriminate them LOL

Colleen- bf they added chicken pox to the schedule of free vaccines you could pay for it. Bff I had a chance to take my kids they all got chicken pox (while I was pg with Jess) so saved me money and means Jess is the only one who needs it. How did Jaykob go with the scratching when he had them? Hope he goes ok with the needles, how many is he having?

Tegan- don't you hate packing? I guess it is a good thing if you are moving and want to move though. It is sort of exciting for you all. Are you getting a removal van or are you doing something else? JEss also has 1 molar out up the top and 1 on it's way out she is almost 17mths. She skipped the eye teeth, just like joshua did. So she has 9 out and 1 on the way. THere are no set rules on when and which order teeth come.

Well better move along and check out what else is happening

Hi every, I hope you're all well and your babies too.
Yasin is walking down stairs now just as long as I hold his hand. The climbing mania continues - he has figured out how to use the cat's scratchy pole as a step onto the back of a longue and then throws himself down into the chair and enjoys the tumble :shock: . I'm beginning to worry about how I will cope with him and a baby. When we decided to TTC he was so much easier to keep an eye on than he is now. Luckily he seems to like babies although I'm geussing that living with one will be a little differant than visiting.

Mel, I hope that you and Eliana settle into your new home OK. The sunshine coast is one of my favorite parts of Australia. Eeeww at the nappy - babies are so gross sometimes. Every time I change a nappy Yasin tries to grab his bum which isn't so bad if its not a pooey nappy but totally gross when it is.

Michelle, How are your school preparations coming on? I'm sure I will be having palpitations when its time for Yasin to start and sooking after I drop him off. Lani's vocab is quite impressive. Yasin still has the same 4 words but sometimes I think he's trying to say more.

Colleen, I hope Jaykob's needles don't hurt him too much. The only needles Yasin had any reaction to were his 12 month ones.

Tegan, I hope poor little Lily is feeling better today. Ugh at having to move - DH and I have promised ourselves that from now on we will use removalists rather than moving ourselves. Its just too much stress.

Michelle, don't you hate computer crashes. No matter how many times it happens I still never learn my lesson about backing up - I'm just too lazy.

Snowy, poor little Wolf. I hope his bronchitis clears up soon. London can't be too good for it - anywhere that gives you black snot has to be bad for your lungs. Maybe the time in Germany when you have your next baby will help. I can't believe how close you are now!!!

Melinda, aaww how wonderful to get kisses. I get hugs and sometimes I get an attempt at a kiss but so far no proper kisses. I can't wait!!

Jay is a little grumpy today, but hes been pretty good :)

Dach - It will be a challenge looking after two, but we are clever humans, actually make that clever females, with tremendous juggling skills lol :)

Michelle - re the chickenpox, Jaykob did really well, he learnt to rub the ones near his eyes but apart from that it was lots of baths. Jaykob had the 3 needles today, & he did very well :)

Colleen so glad the needles went well and double Yay for Jaykob! Jess will be happy once her last is done I am sure!

Dasch- don't stress about the watching 2 thing, you'll be fine, remember that little bubbas feed and sleep mainly and when no.2 is down you will be able to catch up with Yasin. You just need to restrain him while you are feeding so you know what he's doing, either in the highchair or if you have a baby rocker or a play pen or portacot he can't climb out of. Jemma was 19 mths when Jess was born and I had no probs with making sure she was safe LOL The couch thing reminds me of Jess we have our 3 seater and 2 single seaters in a row along one wall and Jess would climb on the chair and crawl fro,m chair to couch to other chair at full speed from about 12mths, just great for the heart in the mouth as she almost jumped from one to the other I can tell you.

Jemma's BT results are all clear, no nasties so we are very relieved.

Hey mooshie! IKWYM about the ttc threads. I really hope it happens soon – it’s easy to get obsessed about it. Sending lots of babydust your way. Wow at Lani knowing forty words! Charlie still only says Mum, Dad and Bub, but he makes attempts at car and bath now. A lot of the boys in my family were late talkers, so maybe that’s what he’ll be. I bet when the new baby comes he’ll start talking heaps and influence No. 2, who will probably never shut up! I don’t envy you being worried about Jay – I’m sure he’ll be fine and it’s good that he doesn’t seem to have too man problems with starting. And don’t worry about not keeping up with the threads. At the moment I can only really check twice a week if I’m lucky, and I still manage somehow… most of the time!

Poor little Lily with her sore legs, Tegan. I hate needles too, so I can’t imagine how much bubs must hate them. Glad to see that it went well otherwise though.

Mel – sorry to hear about you having to move, but I’m sure it’s what’s best for you guys atm. Hope you work things out. Excellent news that your new place has a pool! Eliana will love it. I have been warned about those painting poos – luckily we haven’t had one yet, but I won’t speak too soon!

Hi dach! I know what you mean about worrying about having two so close. Do you have family close by to help you out for the first little while? I reckon the first sex months will be pretty tough, but once bub is sleeping through it will probably get easier. I can hear the laughs of the mothers of multiple children now… the probably think I’m so naïve in saying that! Anyway, here’s hoping. LOL at Yasin climbing too. Cheeky little monkey.

Sorry if there’s anyone I missed. I think I got everyone today!

Have had a lovely couple of days. DH had Wednesday off as well as Australia Day, so we had some nice relaxing family time at home. We went to visit his parents, who are going to India for 2 months on Saturday, to get the lowdown on what we need to do while they’re gone. He has a schizophrenic brother (29) and an epileptic/brain damaged brother (31) who both live at home, so we’ll have to keep an eye on them, even though he has another brother (24) who lives at home too, rent free, with his fiancé. I don’t know why they can’t do it, but that’s a whole different, issue filled story. I don’t mind taking responsibilities that are ours, but his parents wanted him to actually stay there overnight one night a week while they’re gone, even though the other brother is there, and DH has a pregnant wife and child to look after. Gggrrr. Anyway, I will look at it as an opportunity to get to know his brothers better and try to look at things positively. Other than that, I cooked a fabulous seven hour lamb roast for Australia Day, watched DVDs and actually went to bed at the same time as DH! That doesn’t happen very often, so it was nice. Charlie loved his dad being home too – he’s such a boy!

Dach - when I fall PG again (fingers crossed) Jacob will be over 2 by the time he/she is born and I still worry about having 2 that close together also, and how I will cope etc etc (and how Jacob will cope!) but I think how nice it will be to have them grow up together. Yasin sounds like such a little character. Things that I read remind me so much of Jacob that I'm sure the pair of them would be up to endless amounts of mischief if they were ever together LOL!!!

Michelle - great news about Jemma's BT results! *phew*!!

Colleen - how old was Jaykob when he got the CP? Jacob is due to have his CP needle in a few weeks time.

Mel - LOL @ Eliana wadding in all that poo! Yuckyyy!!! Ouch at the molar too. Jacob had 16 teeth by the time he was 14.5 months old, so I'm a bit worried that his final 4 molars will come earlier than 2!!!

Tegan - wow, you're moving really soon!!! I hope you get the packing done and that Lily doesn't decide to try and climb up any boxes! LOL

Kellee - sounds like you had a really nice couple of days!! OOeeer @ the 7 hour roast too! Fancy coming to my house to cook one too!? LOL

Not much news from us ATM. Jacob is getting better and better with using his spoon (although it's still heaps of fun to play with it and to flick food everywhere as opposed to actually eating with it). Last night it was pretty mild outside after dinner so I went out the front to water the front garden and he came outside for a bit of a run around before bath/bed. He LOVED the hose and being sprayed on his feet with it and was squealing with delight! So cute!! And he was running everywhere that I would flick the hose so that he could run under it!!!!

It's been awhile since I've posted, I've been busy training the mini Thorpedo's and trying to survive this hot summer without air-con.

Aidan is walking so much, and he stayed at his Nana and Grandad's last night and it honestly seems like he has grown since then!

I too worry about coping with a 2yr old when #2 comes along, but I try not to worry about it otherwise I think it could have the potential to put me off forever! Having said that I think we just adapt and no-one else in the world could do a better job than us Mummy's!

Melinda, I know what you mean about the spoon. I let Aidan hold it in his hand but keep putting off actually letting him at the food with it, I'd imagine almost all the food will fall/be thrown on the floor.

Kellee, sounds like you are in for a busy few months. I think it is great you are looking on the positive side and your DH is lucky to have you!

Michelle, that is awesome news about the BT results.

Colleen, I hope Jay is over his yucky needle day. It's a shame they dont understand that it is good for them! I wonder if Jay should still get the chicken pox one even though he has had chicken pox? They say it's a myth that you can only get it once. Have no idea but it could be worth checking out?

Melbee, I hope the space helps you and DP sort everything out.

Hi to everyone else.

Aidan is giving us lots of cuddles lately, and he loves kissing anyone if I ask him too, sooo adorable. I usually need to ask for kisses and cuddles but tonight after DH and I changed him for bed he reached out and cuddled DH then leaned in for big sloppy kiss then he came over to me. It is so funny, if he gives one cuddle or kiss he has to give one to everyone in the room. DH also plays 'noggin' with him (from 'Finding Nemo') where they bump heads. So if you say 'noggin' he leans in for a head bump. It just amazes me how much they understand at this age..

look after your gorgeous little ones - they are the most precious things in the world

Jess - yep, I think I need to invest in some kind of apron for myself! Jacob flicks food all over the shop and thinks it's the best fun out and every meal time I'm getting covered in muck LOL! Awww @ Aidan knowing how to bump heads! LOL

Mel - don't worry about lack of personals. It can get pretty hectic and hard to do....we understand! Try not to stress too much about the move - I hope it goes smoothly for you!

Hi Melinda. Good on you for letting Jacob use the spoon a lot. I’m too nervous because I don’t like the mess! It will be great for him in the long run though, I’m sure.

Jessica – that noggin game sounds so cute! It’s funny the little things they pick up. Charlie gives everyone “five” – once he starts with one person, everyone has to do it. My silly dad taught him that one. Yay on the cuddles too! Lap them up, because one day they won’t want to give them to us anymore!

Hey mel – don’t stress about not being able to get in here! You’ve got enough on the go atm without having to worry about that. You just take care of yourself and your precious little angel and let us know how you’re going when you can.

Feel like a bloated cow at the moment. For some reason these crazy chocolate cravings have kicked in (the first real cravings in the whole pregnancy). Why do we always crave unhealthy things? It would be much better for my health, and my figure, if I craved apples instead. Oh well. Not much else to write – just enjoying some time off with my boys before the weekend is over.

Now Kellee what would be the fun in craving apples LOL? I think the extra resp being passed to you guys is a little unfair too, but I guess your IL's are not sure they can rely on the other brother. It must be hard to leave your kids when they need assistance like they do. I hope the IL's get to enjoy there trip.

I had big gaps (5 yrs then 3 and a half yrs) bt my first 3 kids. Then there is 19mths bt Jem and Jess. I can tell you girls it is natural to worry about coping but you will, exactly the way you do with one. Just remember you had never had a bub bf and somehow you got to this stage and you have healthy and happy kids and have done a marvellous job. People in their infinite wisdom like to say stupid things like "how do you think you'll cope? and Will you be ok with 2 close together" Even my MIL asked questions like that, which really ****ed me off, I had 3 kids all doing different things as if I wouldn't be able to look after one more LOL You have pressure no matter how far bt kids. Just bc Jordan was 5 when I had Josh didn't mean it was super easy, she was in Kinder and needed things too. Blocvk out the negative comments and rejoice in the fact that you are going to have another miracle in your life.

Mel- hope the move is going smoothly, it is stressful moving and making changes in your life, try to take some time for yourself when you can and we will wait to hear how things are going.

Hi Melinda and Dasch and Jess and Jo and anyone I missed.

We are spending sunday doing not much. Arron is running around helping a mate with a pergola and so I am single parenting atm LOL. Just put the sooky jess back to bed, screaming, and told the kids not to go in. I should be cleaning up but can't be bothered , it is still pretty sticky here. I have done the back to school shopping and the kids have only 2 more sleeps, i think they are excited to go back, which is good. Little aths started back yesterday and we have 2 wedding s to go to in the next 6 weeks so we are are little busy. Plus we also have Jemma's bday on the 21st and BIL's engagament party just bf that. You'd think we actually had a social life by the sound of that. LOL Unfortunately we will be back to our normal boring selves in April LOL. Unless something else comes up.

Bored bored bored. DH gave me a sleep in today, that was nice. He’s gone off to borrow the IL’s lawn mower – we rent from Mum and Dad and Dad has this big issue about the lawns not being done. He goes red in the face and spits when he talks if they get too long. Our mower is broken, so now my car will probably smell like petrol from DH moving the other one over in the boot of the stationwagon. * sigh * Bloody parents.

Anyway, have a rad day, y’all.

Kellee- bugger about the mower and the lawns LOL. At least when you rent from someone else they really can't MAKE you mow if you don't want to LOL Of course there are other benefits of renting from Parents i can imagine !!!! What is it about some people and mowing, Arron is totally anal about it too, would mow 3 times a week if he could. It does make the place look neater but... not necessary once a week in my book.

Thankyou for not telling me to shut up too! Sometimes I get carried away with things LOL. I was so ****ed off with Arrons auntie and cousin when I had Jess, the cousin had 2 kids close (2 yrs exact) and then one in the May bf I had Jess (but her other 2 were in school then) and she questioned MIL about whether I could handle Jem being only 19mths and a NB. I worked ft witha child in kinder and a 13 week old baby, why couldn't I cope with a 19 mth gap, what was the major difference bt that and having one in school and a 2 yr old and a shift working DH, which meant I would work Ft, come home to kids on my own and Dh would be home at midnight. And what was the diff bt having a 3 and a half yr old and a nb, 3 yr olds are still full on and Josh was a boy (not very indelpendent LOL). I admit that it wasn't easy when Jess came along, Josh was in kinder and Jem was 19 mths, but I am still alive LOL Maybe a little less sane though (just kidding) Life always has to have something going on or we would be bored.

Anyway Kellee, hope the mowing gets done to your Dad's satisfaction and that the car doesn't smell too badly of petrol. And that you have a relaxing day too.

Kellee - LOL I don't have much of a choice WRT to letting Jacob use a spoon/fook for feeding himself (or attempting to). If he doesn't have his own spoon/fork when we need to feed him something then he just won't eat usually and cracks it big time!!!

We try to give him finger foods where possible or just let him go hell for leather but some things still need a spoon! You can imagine him up to his armpits in casserole when he does it by himself! He tips the bowl upside down and empties it all onto the tray and then picks it all up that way and eats it LOL. *sigh* The downside with letting him have his own fork/spoon is that it means he flicks food absolutely everywhere (on himself, on the floor and on DH or myself!). Oh well, he'll get the hang of it eventually.... perhaps one day he'll be a bit more interested in putting the food in his mouth rather than putting it in the food, scooping some out of the bowl and then tipping the spoon and it's contents onto the tray LOL. Too funny!!!

PMSL Melinda, Jacob sounds like Jessica's twin (actually she was going to be Jacob if a boy) She eats nothing that we feed her and until recently when she had had enough of eating what we gave her she would piff it on the floor incl bowls of milk and cereal, sultanas, fruit, toast (always landing peanut butter down of course). SHe is getting better and I think she is eating more lately bc she is getting better at feeding herself IYKWIM.

I am going to take her to be weighed tomorrow, would be interesting to see how big she is. i am thinking she has grown taller, but weight wise not sure. She hopefully will make 9.5kgs. She is 17 mths on Thursday and still wearing sz 0 clothes.

PMSL Michelle! Don't you hate how the toast always lands buttered side down. Every time. LOL

Last time we weighed/measured Jacob, he was 11.5kg and 84 cm tall and that was at 15 months LOL!!! I hope Jemma has some weight gain for you....is she tall and skinny or just small all over? Are your other children the same kind of build too?

Jacob's really not an enthusiastic eater....never has been so it's always tricky to get him to eat much. He needs size 1 clothes length-wise, but they're too big around the waist and fall down LOL.

I'm so gald to see how many eeny weeny bubbas we have. Some times I get a bit of a complex about what a midgetty little person Yasin is - but he makes up for it in personality LOL. He's still in size 0 and he even has a couple of 00's that still fit him :shock: . I've been getting a bit uptight about the amount he eats lately but I'm trying to relax about it (and the throwing food overboard)
The poor little guy has had a bit of an ear infection but we've got him on ABs now so hopefully that will clear it up.

Mel, I hope the move goes smoothly for you - how lovely to have a pool. Yasin was very helpful when we moved and helped me pack my phone so well that its never been found #-o

Yes Michelle, thank you for your info, it is lovely to hear the perspective of a person actually in the situation rather than random people tutting at me or trying to scare me about the fact that I'll have 2 under 2. I figure that millions of women have done it or are doing it, and they cope, so I can't see why I won't.

I think it's time for Kaleb to go from 2 naps to 1. He still sleeps well in the morning but will barely sleep in the arvo, but is ratty by bedtime, so I will try and set the morning nap back bit by bit and drop the arvo one. It will be an exciting change to our routine. All baby activities/playgroups seem to be at 9/9:30am, which is his morning nap time, so we will be able to venture out into the big wide world and see what it has to offer!

Hi everyone! Glad you are all well, so many posts to catch up on!

No news here really. Grace had her 12 mth needles nearly 2 weeks ago now and the other day got a high temp and a red measles like rash which is apparently a reaction to her immunization. She is fine though and the rash has gone away, but she has been very grizzly!

Grace is still in size O stuff too, and some size 1 dresses - size 1 pants are too long for her. I haven't had her weighed since she turned 1 and she was 9.6 kg then.

Anyway gotta go baby girl has woken up cranky!

here i am, i'm back so watch out for the chatterbox and the long posts lol. i will be posting mainly in here now (and i might nick into the vic thread to and say hi) since we are no longer ttc af arrived for me again today and after 7mths (i know that is not a long time) i have had enough of it all - the temping, the checking, the opk's yadda yadda yadda - i also said if i was not prg and given birth b4 turning 38 then that will be it - i will be 38 in october so there you go - time to get on with it all and enjoy my kiddies and not obsess all things prg and babies like i have been over the past few months.

jessica - swimming teacher how cool - where do you teach?? my ds goes to paul sadler they are brilliant. how cute on all the cuddles and little head bangs you are getting

kellee - gosh so not long to go for you now how time flies, oh and congrats on a brother for charlie (sorry i know you mentioned it a while back - did you oh i hope you did arhh i am so not sure if it was you or not that said you were having another boy) hope you had a nice relaxing w/end with your boys

melbee - take care hun, how lucky the sunshine coast - i love it, i try and get up their at least once a year. my parents did live at mooloolaba for 13yrs then they came back down to melb to live. my brother, sil and neice are in buderim, so nice to go up and visit, i would live up there if the humidity wasn't so bad. glad to hear eliana is doing well.

melinda - how is your ttc journey going??? and how is jacob and his messy eating lol. i must admit lani is quite good with not throwing food around anymore (quite often she sneaks it under her bottom tho) so when i get her out of the highchair food falls off her butt lol.

dachlostar - good to see you in here. yasin sounds like a cheeky little monkey - oh and i must admit i did have a chuckle at the shoe saga (ummm i hate to admit it but lani has around 12 pairs of shoes and they are all pre-walkers lol) i don't put them on her all the time, i prefer her to walk around with bare feet - but outside i always put them on her here, our grass has bees and we have a fair amount of concrete and stones so a bit rough on her feet, but when we go out i like to match her outfit with her shoes (and her hair ties) lmao. you see jessica hated being dressed all girly i started when she was around 2yrs old so i thought bugger it, whilst i have control lani will be dressed all pretty until she says enough pmsl.

tegan - i will catch up in here with you more i guess. hope your ttc journey ends with a bfp very soon. lily sounds like she is going great guns

michelle - how are you matey, i have missed our chats but like i said i am back bigger than ever lol, kids go back tommorrow yay for you. jay starts on wednesday, i am feeling okay about it, some minutes of the day i think gosh can't wait till he starts school but other times i think oh no he is my little boy can't be going to school yet. but he has developed attitude big time, omg he just argues - eg he is outside patting our cat (after being told by allergy dr that he is highly allergic to cats) i said jay don't touch the cat - go and wash your hands with soap and water, he says mum i know more than you i can do what i want - yup 3hrs later, runny eyes itchy nose, grizzly boy mummmy i need clarantyne - arhhhh the bloody cat, see he knows more than his mum hmmmmm i guess it is just the start of things to come lol. is jemma going to kindy to wow jessica is going to miss them all

jo - i don't think i have said hi to you before so hi - kaleb sounds just like lani did when she was going from 2 to 1 sleeps - takes a few weeks, and i found some days she would need 2 sleeps others just 1, she is now 16mths old and sleeps from around 12-30ish to around 3pm - so a nice little breather for me lol.

okay this post is long enough and i truly hope i haven't missed anyone, if i have i sincerely apologise it is getting late and af is giving me a rough time.

quicky update on lani - well nothing really new, she is attempting to climb WHAT SHE IS NOT ALLOWED pmsl none of the other 2 did, lucky i have jay going through a "dobbing" stage so he always tells her off for climbing on the table etc then comes and tells me lol. she is okay has a runny nose like a tap and it looks like the top two eye teeth will be threw this week, so that means just the bottom eye teeth and the last 4 molars and the teeth are done YAY - she was crying after i put her down tonight, so i went in and said what is wrong are you sore and she put her finger on her tooth and said sooooooooorrrrr so gave her bonjela, teething relief and pandol that should last her till morning HOPEFULLY.

oh and one other thing she has the cutest saying ever - there it/he/she is eg i ask her "where's your brother" and she says "te he is" oh gosh it sounds so cute and she is also shaking the head as well as saying no she sort of says a cross between nup and no and can nod and say es for yes so thats good yes and no are good and not confused omg i remember jay used to nod for no and shake head for yes made it very confusing pmsl.

just popping in quickly to say we survived the move & eliana is thriving - she is loving the space plus having a little girl to play with (she is 10days older) & her favourite thing is going out to feed the chickens - im managing well on my own though have had family visit every day - just a bit lonely at night but i'll get there - having major internet withdrawals but all in all it's good
mooshie - your family is only about 5 mins away from me!

Mitch – MILs never cease to amaze me. I’m lucky with mine (most of the time) but some other ones I hear about sound like Marie from Everybody Loves Raymond! Poor you. Tell her where to stick it. What an idiot. J

Melinda – well, you inspired me, so I got Charlie a little plastic fork and he’s been going great with it! Thanks for telling me about it. He’s only tipped stuff on the floor once (so far), so hopefully it continues like that.

Dach – sorry about poor little Yasin and his ear infection. I hope it clears up soon. Charlie is small too… maybe there’s something in the water this time of year? J

Hooray for one nap, Jo! That’s very exciting. Really frees up your day – although that will change in a couple of months, huh?! I bet Kaleb will love getting out and about in the morning… hopefully it will wear him out for the afternoon sleep and he’ll sleep for ages so you get one too!

Hey mooshie. Sorry to hear about af. I know that it must be hard for you to make that decision. Lani sounds like she’s doing so well. All that talking must be gorgeous! IKWYM about the climbing thing… I don’t mind if Charlie climbs as long as he doesn’t STAND on the couch. I have had to put him in the hallway (like SuperNanny) a few times because of it and he has done it less, so hopefully it works! He doesn’t bite now because we did the hallway thing, so hopefully we have the same success.

Hooray for the move, Mel! I’m so glad that it went ok. I know that nights must be hard, but hurry up and get internet so we can all keep you company! It must be so lovely for Eliana to have someone to play with. Keep us up to date, huh?

My little man has been very good today. It usually takes about 50 minutes to check this forum and the Belly Buddies forum (as I only get to do it once or twice a week) and he has been happily playing down here the whole time. I suppose it helps that I actually tidied up a bit down here so it’s not so much of an obstacle course so he has more room to run around like a silly chook. Just trying to take it easy this week and stay near home – been feeling really tired lately and too many social outing wear me out. Trying to get some housework done – it feels like it never ends! Charlie tries to help me by sweeping, but usually he just messes up all the dust I have swept, so I’ve given up. DH can do it when he gets home!

Anyway, that’s about it. Hope you’re all well and hi to anyone I missed.

mel - glad to hear you and eliana are coping, bummer about the lack of internet tho. i tell you if you live 5mins away from my family then you are in a very beautiful part of the country - i would be up there in a heartbeat if it wasn't for my dh's great job down here, my circle of friends and also the lack of the humidity - its nice i can go up once a year to visit tho.

kellee - busy cleaning hey - nesting bug lol, hope you are going well. yes it is very hard on the no longer ttc decision but you really have to look at the big picture i guess and we just can't keep on saying okay lets try again 1 more month etc etc - i am busy focussing on my kids now and not ttc - much better.

well big day here today - my baby my darling ds started school today - omg i said to dh i think i am getting the flu but realised later that it was just all nerves, butterflies, achey legs etc. ds was fine had a ball, can't remember anything in class but can remember all about recess and playing cricket with an 8yr old that lives down the road, he plays with lol. he didn't know that he had to go back to class when the bell rang, luckily the boy he was playing with told him and he managed to find his class and get there just as all the kids were going in - his teacher looks sooooooo young, she is new to the school and i am guessing she is new at teaching, she seems nice and jay likes them young lol. he is looking forward to doing it all again tommorrow lol.

lani definately cutting those eye teeth, i reckon by weekend they will be here and she is starting to protest at going to bed i have to run after her and pick her up and she just kicks yelling no no no - lol, i put her to bed and she stands up and protests but i just say goodnight, love you, she carrys on a bit but she settles after a couple of minutes, just testing the waters that one lol - i tell you she will be confined to a cot until she is at least 3 lol, this lani has got spunk she is such a cheeky devil. all day today she was walking around the house looking for her brother, she kept going into his room calling ja ja ja - too cute, as soon as he got home they were wrestling on the floor and fighting :rolleyes:

well i am going to read a few other threads - wont go into the ttc thread, truthfully it does hurt a bit to go there, so i won't. then i need to get to bed and set the alarm so i can get up at 7am to get ready to get organised for school

Melinda- Jess is in proportion for her height and weight (small) unfortunately it appears she may have my short genes. My others were way bigger at her age, they were all in sz 1's at age 1 and Jess is 17mths tomorrow and still in mainly sz 0. Sad for her but then again I have nothing against being short.

Michelle- I am so glad to see you here and in the vic thread, wishe it wasn't cos you are not ttc though. i can see what you mean though, it is draining to be waiting and stressing ea month, you never know it may accidnetly happen. I too have AF atm and am not liking that much. Sounds like Jay had a ball, hope his teacher is nice. I had preps my 2nd year out and I loved them. They are so full of wonder and eager to please, it's lovely. Did you get lots of pics? Jemma is at 3yo kinder but only Thursdays 9 to 12. SHe doesn't want me to leave her there though, but it will be great for her to make friends.

Mel- glad the move is done and you are both ok. Bummer about the internet, I reckon that's a priority, we can too keep you sane at night. I am home atm alone, so I get unlimited time on here!LOL

Kellee- don't you love cleaning helpers? Jessica and Jemma both like to help, Jemma is great at unpacking the dishwasher and of course Jess wants to help. I must admit she does a good job.

Jessica's molars are pushing again, we have had a few really awful nappies and she is very sooky. AND she has become a parrot, she repeats absolutely everything anybody says, including calling me MICHELLE! But my favourite is goodnight and Ilove you when I tuck her in! I best start writing what she is saying cos all of a sudden she has had a language explosion.

Dasch- no point feeling bad about the eating really, I went through a pretty stressful time, esp when teething was happening and I felt awful but my mCHN has never questioned me and Yasin is physically fit and healthy (driving you batty LOL) so you know he's ok. Hope the Ear infection clears up son.

Jess- Usually what seems to happen is they have a big sleep rather than 2 smaller ones so fingers crossed that happens for you. It does make it easier for you to be able to get out and about. Jessica goes down bt 11 and 1 and sleep times vary. SOmetimes she would sleep 3 hrs, but school hols the kids would manage to wake her after 1 hr, drove me crazy. Esp since if they had left her and not got her up, she may have gone back to sleep.

Anyway Arron has just got home from fishing and I am ready to knock off here and go to bed.
