Babies Born July - September 2005 #2

Hey there, Indah is getting better, but I now have the flu starting... Maddy couldnt get in to DR yesterday so she's going in after school today!
Had mad's parent teacher meeting & he said she has spounk, character & is cheeky, a beautiful reader, speller & loves writing, she enjoys & gets involved in all the sport actrivities & also enjoys basketball, she is doing really well & academically is a high achiever & has a contagious personality!

I was happy, but I asked her to tone down the cheekiness, as i read that as sometimes a bit of a smart a$$, which I did tell the teacher she gets it from me!!

But glad her school work isnt suffering from her smarty pants ness!!!

Sorry I have a throbbing haed so forgot what else was written!!!

Trace thats great Maddy is doing well.

Cass enjoy your red wine tonight wont you. The roaches would definately put me off too. Grrr at the daycare. I would be mad too. Hopefully she wont get a rash again.

Brooke so sorry to hear that you are having a rough time of it. I havent had the misfortune of roids but I so sympathise..those last few weeks of pregnancy can be so draining.

Jo - Hope Sammy has fun at music. You're one busy mum! As for me being away today - I at least get out of the house twice with the kids (early morning walk to supermarket, late morning to park and then try for an arvo one but don't alkways get there!)

Cass - Grrrrr at the nappy rash. I'd be a bit suss too on the nappy changes, and really that's not good enough if they don't do it very often. Do they supply the nappies? Maybe they try and cut costs by changing very little?

Trace - Glad Indah is better and hope you get better soon.

Soph you are so good with your outtings. Daycare does provide the nappies ..mmm I dont think it is good enough either.She seems happy there but I am still just not sure. Yesterday I arrived and saw her staring in through the glass door where the room is. There was a teacher in there ..who wouldnt let her in (fair enough) but didnt even know she was there! And I picked her up and left and none of the teachers outside even saw me do it . So tell me ..how the hell do they know where she is WTF??????. I know I need to speak to someone , she just seems so relaxed there and I know the level of care is not the same. But still...what happens if someone was to jump a fence and sneak in and grab one of the kids? I know it woul dbe hard ..but these sort of people case places and do that stuff. Long shot I know. What if she falls or gets biten by something ( other then the children which has been happening anyway!. Just wondering if such a big play area is a good idea.

Thnaks chickies, I got into the shower all alone & broke down & blo ody couldnt stop (sorry farmers I couldnt get outta the shower!) Then I went in & kissed Maddy goodnight & just talked to her for a bit about school & stuff.... I am so glad she isnt at all concerned, little miss niave! hee hee
I got into bed & Dh was watching Tv I just felt so exhausted... Then when he come to bed I burst into tears again telling him how scared I am for it being something bad!!!
He told me she is fine dont worry, you dont need to stress let me worry about it & held me while I sobbed into his chest!!! I fell asleep but have been awake thinking & stirring & my mind going nuts since 3.30am... I got my m/w appt today & that hossy is on the back of my referral so gonna see if they can do a scan! But my appt is at 9am, when maddy should be at school & the time the scan office opens... I guess I will ask her & see if she wants to come or go to school, then it can be up to her!!! To try not make it seem so panicky & Urgent & scary... Coz I think if I say "we are going to day she'll wonder why i am stressing etc" So i will see what she wants to do...... She LOVES school... I also asked mum to come with me to the scan coz I am gonna be a mess on the day!!!

Oh Trace ...thinking of you . I think it is a great idea to try and get it looked at straight away just so you know all is ok ..as I just know it will be . It is great that Maddy is so unaware of it all as the mind is such a powerful thing and you want it to be sending all these good vibes through her body!.

Hope Sammy enjoys his misic today Jo! No waving bye bye to everybody! Yep, Ursula is a member her, also my close friend, since she put Zac to bed that day he's been quite easy, had a lovely long sleep yesterday too! Last night he went to sleep on his floor behind the door though, I woke him up when I tried to move him, took a while to re settle but ahhhhhh he is still asleep now, poor mite must still be recovering from the week without much sleep!

Mmmm, Cass I'd be a bit worried too! Even if it does seem like a long shot, you do have the right to question them, did they even ring you at all to ask if you came to pick her up? Can you take you're own nappies & tell them you would prefer her to only wear them?

Hi Soph, wow you do get out a bit huh? I try, but to go anywhere here I have to drive, it's hard putting 2 little ones in the car, I always stress about which one to do first.

Trace Im so hoping that its nothing at all sinister with Maddy. Hope the appointment goes well. We are all here for you hon ok.

Storm its nice to have friends help out. I had to laugh at little Zac falling asleep behind the door..he must have been tired! Sometimes our little ones just dont know their own limitations! Sammy went well at music yesterday..there was no waving goodbye until the end hehe!!!

Cass if daycare provide the nappies can you ask to provide your own? Maybe they have a nappy policy or something...id be angry though and want my baby changed regularly!!!!

We had toddler gym today. Darren and I both went and then we all went swimming later at the pool. Sammy thought it was great fun. He wears his little arm floaties and then walks around by himself. I swear he thinks hes soooo much older than he is!!! Oh picked up a few bargains at the shops..im starting to panic about winter clothes for him as he really has outgrown most of last winters clothes and knowing how it works if I dont start buying them now they will all be gone by the time it starts cooling down!

Hi girls,

I thought I should finally show my ugly mug in here and say thankyou to those that expressed good wishes to me when I had my miscarriage. It has sure knocked me for a 6 this time.....and this alone has surprised me as unfortunately, this is my 7th m/c. But because my last pg was a success (Pup), I just figured that my body knew what it was supposed to do and from now on, everything would be ok. Not so.

But I'm getting by. Getting better every day. Although, I have recently had a spate of migraines and spent some time in hospital with one. And DH has done a disc in his back and is almost immovable. We are a sorry household over here, I can tell you!!! LOL

I am not even going to attempt to catch up on what is going on - except I will go and read your Boo Hoo Trace. But suffice to say, hi to all the new girls I haven't met, g'day to all my "old" friends that weren't in July group, and hi to all my dear July g/friends!

I'll be more vigilant about posting.....well, I'll try anyways!

I haven't been here for such a long time. I'm sorry. Brooke is 19 months in a couple days and she is my whole world. I'm so lucky to have her. We are still ttc # 2 and I'm still a SAHM, nothing much has changed.
We are all boooked to go back and do IUI again though in April-May cycle :fertilise: if nothing has happened in the next couple of cycles. :dance: getting excited.

Hayseed - I'm so sorry on your loss. ((Hugs))

Jo - those arm floaties sound very cute. Brooke loves the pool also and thinks she is much older then she is.

Brooke - is that you now B456?

Brooke has just gone down for a nap. She woke up very cranky this morning. She needs a huge sleep tonight. I look forward to her DAY naps, gives me time to check ebay, no more purchasing though, postage sometimes is not worth it, also I love coming here and another babysite I post on, its american though and really want to join an aussie board properly for once.
OH I purchased this HUGE jup jup puppet last week off ebay though for $5.00. Excellent condition and I got a bargain. We are having a HI-5 party for her 2nd b'day and I'm gonna make her a big Pink Hi-5 hand and just have mum and dad up here and then we are off to Dreamworld for the day, she will love Wiggle world etc. So tight budget, lots to do soon. THANKGOD ofr medicare as iui is covered alot there.

First day back at uni today. Sammy had the whole day without me for the first time ever and was brilliant. It was so lovely coming home and seeing the girls and Darren and Sammy both with their 3/4 matching cargoes and no shirt....awww. Tomorrow my friend has him and I hope it goes equally as well.

Well DH was at home studying today, and whilst Maria loves her Daddy time, she doesn't want to have any sleep time when he is here, so we went out today and found some little shelves to convert into a little stove/kitchen for her. I picked up so toy vegies and fruit that have velcro that you can "cut" with the little knife on the little chopping board. When we got home we put a little metal pie dish on the shelves and she got the banging thing from the music box and started stiring her little pot, very cute.

Oh Louise those little velcro fruit and vegies are just the best arent they!! Glad shes enjoying her little stove!

Sorry girls no time for personals....just ducking in to say will be away till Sunday. DH suddenly has to go to Yamba for a conference so the family is all going for a little mid term holiday! Lots to do and taking Lucie to playgroup for first time today..........

Louise that is such a great idea!. I must say I was just this morning thinking of getting Kaitlyn one of those mini kitchens so when I am in the kitchen cooking she can pretend to be doing the same...and perhaps keep her a little further away from the oven and what I am up to so it is safer. I like your idea though! :-)

Lisa sounds like a lovely Bday is planned! Good Luck TTC naturally ..we were just about to start IUI the month that we fell pregnant with Kaitlyn. Although I think IUI sounds so much easier then IVF so if we need it next time I dont mind to much...but obviously would prefer not to . So fingers and toes crossed for you !

Oh Kate big hugs to you ! I hope Rylee starts getting a little more sleep , I cant imagine how hard it must be to get through the day with a energetic toddler a gorgeous bubba and no sleep! Hats off to you .Kaitlyn is also a HUGE fan of swimming , when you dunk her under she says "morreee Morreee" so cute!.

We had a great weekend, Kaitlyn sings 'Row , Row , Row " for row row row your boat. She also mimicked me Saying"ah ah ahhhh " and shaking her head as that is what I do when she is doing something she shouldnt heheheh. Plus she is dancing heaps now which is just so darned adorable!. I am just amazed at how much she changes everyday ...what a wonderful time in their lives this is! She also learnt "bubbles" and "grapes" over the weekend. Man so quick!.

Ok better get back to the grind. Hope you are all having a nice day !

Hi everybody I have missed!!

I had both the little ones needles today :cry: but they did well, Zaccie was more cranky coz he wanted to pull off the little circle band aid then the pain from the needle. Poor little Angel just screamed & screamed!! She's had a feed & has been asleep sine 1pm, don't have the heart to wake her just yet. Other than that, all is well, a part from me, I have the bone spur back on my foot :angry: X2, last time I was told I would have to have the OP to remove it, so I didn't tell the doc today, how am I supposed to look after 5 kids on crutches in agony? I hope it just goes away like the last times no way am I having the op, I'll just limp around till it goes.
Floss just woke so I'll catch up later, have a nice relaxing night.

Storm poor little Angel crying. How horrible for you and your poor foot!!! Im not sure what a bone spur is but it doesnt sound very nice. I hope it fixes itself and you dont need an op on it. It would be very hard on crutches! Yep started uni full time.

Awww Cass Kaitlyn's singing is precious!!! Its gorgeous how they pick things up so quickly. I reckon this age they are learning new words at such an amazing rate..it never ceases to amaze me.

My big boy went great today. Im so proud of him..he even fell asleep when my friend took him for a walk in the pram!! Im so happy that hes not missing us too much!! Makes it so much easier knowing hes happy.

Plus I have had my hair done and I will start the full body fake tan ( the body glow or whatever the slow growing one is ..hehee) ...the dress is very Booby showing so I need to add a bit of colour to my cleavage that is FOR SURE!.

Took Kaitlyn and the furbaby for a walk yesterday and it was so cute as Kaitlyn wanted to hold his lead ...sooo cute!.

Aww Brooke..i so hope you are having a better day today. Its hard at the end..no comfort and an emotional mess..your little one will be in your arms soon enough...as for names..weve never had a certainty..we wanted to look at our new baby first so I bet you will do that and feel his/her name.

Well DH is still at work ..blah. I am about to watch the RPA show as there is something in Endo apparently so I would like to see it.

A little ( understatement) upset with my DH as he has invited his unemployed 19yr old brother to stay with us ( even though he lives at home!) . He has not job , no money and no licence!. He is used to living at Bondi right on transport and he is going to come and stay here in Baulkham hills...helloooooo ....man oh man !. Anyway not the most happy lady in the world as it is going to be a big hassle for me to have to care for him...especially because as you all know DH works such long hours it will fall on my shoulders. Anyway ..guess it is his brother...but I better put a time limit on it as I dont want this to be a long term thing!

Kaitlyn is a little out of sorts today ..fell asleep on me tonight at 615pm!!! and is a little warm ...so I know she is coming down with something as that is the only time she falls asleep on me these days :-). Plus she was up from 12-2am this morning so something is not right. I hope it is nothing to yukky for her !.

Sorry AGAIN.... LOL... Um at the 12wk scan the guy said maybe a boy, but I was not & am not convinced... Storm, I honestly will be so happy no matter what the gender, I am pretty sure we will have 1 more soon so 4 girls or a mixture is fine so long as they are all happy & healthy!!!

So yeah the guy said he thought a boy, but at 12 wks I dint know how much you can see, so on sat I guess we should be able to see a bit more!??? Either way they have names picked & will be totally loved!!!! hee hee

STORM big shocker here as well. Brooke has been asking for "cot-cot" and lying down at 8pm and FALLING asleep .. I'm like checking her whole body and thinking :doh: IS THIS my child??? I'm here right now because she is still snroing .. i hope your foot is okay.

Just got back from Yamba, loads of unpacking to do :rolleyes: Ned is finally asleep and DH has taken Lucie to the beach. She had a ball when we were away, lots of beach, parks, walks and coffee (or milkshakes I should say!) with mum ;)
