Simone - I hope your wrist feels better soon, must not feel to good if its swelling. Try and get some rest (yeah right!!) and let the painkillers do their job. Enjoy your pizza!

Simone - You poor thing, i dont know what its like to have plaster i have never had it (although i desperately wanted to break my arm when i was in primary school cause it was sooooo cool to write and draw things on it. I hope the pain eases up for you and the doc can give you something to help with the swelling. hang in there, 6 weeks will hopefully fly by!
Nickers - That premmie study sounds great! You will have to let us know what you find out. Lachlan isnt sitting or doing any of that stuff either, we arent really worried about our tree this year, next year will be the worry!
Bath - What a horrible dream, what is it with the dreams lately! oh well as long as thats all they are i suppose. The family trip to see santa sounds like fun. I think we are going to go on Tuesday to see santa, i hope lachlan doesnt get too scared of him!
Mel - Yay for Chelsea sitting on santas lap. it really helps when you get a good santa, i swear some of them have no idea about working with kids. My nephew wouldnt go anywhere near santa so he had to sit on a little train in front of him to have the photo taken.
Anyway, im off to have some desert, then a cup of tea and then bed hopefully!
Lachlan ate all his sweet potato tonight so im not expecting to hear from him until about 11pm (hopefully later)
haha dee about u want to break ur arm in primary school!! i was the same, thought it would be cool. until i jumped off a freinds balcony in yr 6 and broke my foot!
i missed out on my dance conert & had a plastered foot over a hot xmas.....i made out that i fell down some stairs (long story but basically hoddled back into the house sat ont he stairs and cried, when someone saw me i told them i fell!! it was a slumber party) my parents though this is what happened till about 2yrs ago i told them the real story, they were so shocked with me!
Simone- i hope u can get some good pain killers to help u tonight....
Simone - Hope the pain goes away! Now you're really going to need H's help (I'll go with your omission of the 'D'!) with the kids, food etc. I hope he can come through for you.
I ended up leaving Knox at about 5.15! I am pretty tired, cos today was not the more restful day it was supposed to be. However, I found a Christmas present for DP (well, part of it, Aldi next week has some pool/snooker things and I'd like to get him the balls and cue sticks for his pool table), in a headlamp. It wasn't the catalogue one at Aussie Disposals cos I decided he should have a slightly better one so that he can use it for hunting, too (whenever he decides to go back to that - I'd like a matching fox skin!), so he'll be pleased. He knows he needs one for Challenge (well, a torch), so I'll pretend that he has to pack my little mini mag, and give him the headlamp in NZ (it's small enough to pack, obviously!) and he can take the torch out of his pack when we get collected by his mum (remember, he goes on Challenge the day we fly back in). Got a pressie for my sister, too - just a crossover tee, cos I've sent over heaps of stuff this side of August! That leaves my BIL and my parents to take pressies for.
Anyway, it was great catching up with Mel and the girls - Chelsea is a doll, even if she wanders a bit far and doesn't eat all her ice-cream LOL! She DOES come when called, though!
So, Mel, I got Santa photos done! A lady told me they were doing them in Boronia for $10, but Knox had a nicer set up and it WAS for a charity :) I'll scan the photos and post them on Photobucket. I decided that I would frame one and that would be Oscar's Christmas present because it's something he can look at later on and say 'THAT was my first Christmas', instead of some toy that he'll lose interest in etc. OR I could get it put onto a t-shirt for him? The possibilities are endless! I got 4 wallets, too, so I can give them to grandparents... They were very impressed that he just grinned away at Santa, but both Marley and he are of a good age to smile away at anyone! Yes, he was a good Santa, but I suspect he was paying a bit too much attention to my cleavage...I DID decide not to wear a bra with my favourite summer dress (although the effect would have been similar...big bazoongas are big bazoongas no matter what they are in!). Right at the end, when he gave Oscar his glowy wand, he said "So, when you go to ConFest you can find your way back to your tent at night, just using the wand"...WTF? Is it really appropriate to chat with mummies about a hippie festival where clothing is optional??? I walked away feeling a little squirmy...but happy with my photos, nonetheless.
Nice, warm night tonight. Might start cleaning up this house, there is stuff everywhere.
I have been writing this on and off for over an hour, so I'll post it now and come back later!
remembered a couple more things:
Mel, I got the shopping jeep from my mum last Christmas and I'm pretty sure she got it from House. Whenever I take it to Knox I refuse plastic bags and I feel good when I get home that I don't have to squish plastic bags into my bags bag. Yeah, it gets checked at Target and Kmart, but that's ok, cos I have receipts for everything in there!
The other thing. Oscar had his first outdoor tumble when I got home. DP had him in the beach dome and DP was working on something behind it. Next thing (and this is why I was taken away from my previous post the first time) I hear a wail coming from the back. Deciding that it was louder than an "I would like your attention, Daddy" cry I raced outside. By that time DP was holding him...and his little romper was covered in dirt and leaves...uh-oh. Dare I ask? Well, all DP would say was "he rolled". Upon pushing the issue he said he rolled near the dome. Looking over I said "He rolled down the hill?", DP says yes, I say "All the way down???", DP says no, so I march over to the edge (being that the dome was placed right near the edge) and pointed at a sapling halfway down this little, steep hill, asking "Did THAT stop him?"...ummm, yes. Oscar had stopped crying by then, so we both concluded that he was shocked and not hurt, so I laughed - bad mummy? Well, what was worrying going to do when the event had occurred? And he was unhurt...but with a face full of dirt LOL! Needless to say, DP has learnt a lesson in play equipment placement...
Dee, things just seem to proceed on this very pleasant trajectory for you, that's unreal!
OK, something just happened now that almost had me giving DP his pressie early. The headlamp would come in VERY handy and I have to pretend that all we have is a crappy torch!
OK, I"ll be hanging around tonight, checking in :)
Dee - go Lachlan eating all his food! I hope Marley is that good when she starts her solids soon!
IK - so Santa was a perve!!!! Dirty old buggar LOL!!! Glad you got your photo done - and being for charity you don't mind paying. Can't wait to see the pic, wish I had a scanner to do mine. You wouldn't believe Chelsea came home and said "I'm really, really hungry"! Seeing as she chucked out nearly a full ice-cream, I told her she wasn't having anything else until dinner - she wasn't too impressed with that answer. Thanks for telling me where the jeep from - will have to investigate. Glad Oscar is OK after his rolly polly adventure. We need eyes in the back of our head now - at least he knows that dirt doesn't taste very nice. Did you get your new bras?
Well finally put up the christmas tree and it looks great, just need to add Chelsea's new decoration (she gets to choose one each year) and get one of the "baby's first christmas" ones from Myer (they are so cute). Chelsea was helping (if you'd call it that) and just throwing stuff wherever it would stay. She then asked "where are the presents", had to explain that Santa isn't coming for a while. Think I might buy one of the advent calendars where you open the window each day in December, she might catch on then. Starting to feel very festive! :) Taking Chelsea to dancing in the morning and DH is going to stay home with Marley - I get to enjoy a quiet breakfast!!! DH is working tomorrow night, I have a 2 year old party to go to, then a friend coming for dinner - we are making Garlic Prawns YUMMO!!!!! My friend is gay and he used to be a chef, so I can't wait, it's our signature dish! Will be stinking pretty bad by Sunday.
Nearly time for bed - it's cooled down heaps here and is now quite chilly outside!
well hi
Its very late just wanted to pop my head in - will try to post again tomorrow.
IK: one thing about lots of women in party planned events = instant catfights/and female dog behaviour! It only takes one to ruin it for the others. Had a bad expereince years ago with Undercover wear and Army wives!!
anyway night all!
It HAS cooled down, hasn't it? I bet tomorrow only offers more pretend rain, grrrr.
Yep, it's late - I've been in Oscar's room, rearranging furniture so that the portacot can go in there. It's a squeeze, but I got it in there. Now it shares a small space with a full size massage table, a chest of drawers, a toy chest, two antique chairs, a bookcase, a heater and an el cheapo box with shelves in it that I cover in a sheet and keep blankets in. 'Cosy' is how I would market it...
Mel, I got one bra and I've ordered a black one in my size so that when it comes in they will honour the 25% off. I was supposed to get 5% off the skin one I bought because there was a mark on it, but I think I chatted too much at the register (me? Never!) and she forgot (easily done, those registers are ancient and you have to do things in a certain order or you must start again!). Oh, well, it's 25% off alread and the mark will wash out. I LOVE those Lovable maternity bras. I now have a drawer with that style in 3 sizes - I have been fitted for them that many times and I have changed each time! Lucky I have not paid full price for any of them - just not my style to shop in that manner!
Sounds good to have brekky in peace...I have to curry favour with DP when he's home to get an entire breakfast in! Dinner sounds lovely, I LOVE garlic and we wouldn't notice it on anyone cos we're full of it ourselves :p
Hmmm, festive feelings, I should really pull out our decorations box and do up the post and the wood heater...and my magic wreath that I love (that DP hates cos it puts a hole in the front door, bah humbug!).
I have a couple of projects in my head that I want to knock over, here goes: make a neck support for Oscar for the car (saw them in Kmart and decided to give it a go), repaint a frame with a picture of teddy bears in it, do Oscar's hand and foot prints, finish my beading project, make MIL a cardigany wrap thing for Christmas, make me a summer feeding top. Ha! I'm dreaming...
Neeny - I don't know what it is, but you may be right. I've thus far had good experiences, but I've heard the stories! Another girl that this lady knew declined to hold a baby that was doing the rounds and she said "I actually don't like babies, it would have to be a really special baby for me to hold it". What a d!ck! She musn't know ANY kids or babies to make a comment like that. Babies are little people, not a type of rodent. Not only that, the mother was right there and this girl was oblivious to the inherent insult in what she said. Some people just don't get it - babies are what we all start out as and I swear some people really forget that. They seem to think babies are something that some women have because they obviously have no life, no aspirations, nothing better to do. Anyway, I turned up late to this party cos I thought I'd miss the spiel...I didn't, doh!
Well, better go, it's really time for bed. The nappies are in a neat pile, waiting to be folded...at some other juncture but not this one!
IK - eeeeewwww what a creepy Santa
Dee - Yay I am so excited for you. I am so glad things are gfoing better for you and you can now start to enjoy motherhood more.
Simone - thinking of you, hope things are ok with your wrist, how are you coping with having to pick up Anneleise?
CC - how did you cope with the heat yesterday? I ended up with a headache and poor Nathan was so unsettled. We don't have a/c so ran a cool bath which most of our family had a turn of.
Baths- is niall still chomping or grinding when feeding? Nathan is doing this, he hasn't got any teeth thru yet, but they must be coming. Gee it hurts, I take him straight off and won't let him feed for a while. 1st time he did it i went to smack him and thought "oh i can't he's only a baby."
Amanda - hope you are feeling better today, it can be a thankless job and it can seem so pointless when kids come along and undo all your work. I agree with the others - a bit of me time is needed.
Nic - pretty tree, just think in a few years it will be covered in decorations Nixon has created.
Gotta go and get Christmas decorations out. ds1 managed to erect the tree.
Hi to those I've missed.
Good morning :)
Well Verity put up our tree last night and decorated it while I relaxed with a martini and watched a program on SBS about Angels. She did a great job. I've tradtitionally been the one to do all that but it seems like I can safely hand over the task to her... I'll pack it all away though no doubt. I've also been reading Nativity stories to Wade so he knows the true meaning of Christmas and doesn't grow up thinking that it's just about getting presents.
IK: LOL I know I shouldn't laugh either but that post about The Sapling Saving The Day was very well written! Would have loved to have been a fly on the dome looking at your DP's expression as he scrambled down to save Oscar. That scenario would have resulted in a fight in 99% of couples I guess... but you are right: screaming at your DP wouldn't have achieved anything, would have just upset Oscar even more! And if you'd yelled at him he would just resent you (because it wasn't deliberate) and not think about future safety of his son as well... so a fight would be totally counter productive. I'm trying to teach my DH these concepts when it comes to dealing with accidents in this house. Good work :)
Nic: hahaha... another funny story about you wanting a cast... have you ever broken anything whilst skiing? I've got real dodgey knees (broke one during a dislocation) but would love to try skiing... but you hear of so many snow related leg breakages i'm too scared!
I'll have to come back later... DH and DD at Little Athletics... boys need my help...
good afternoon
Well, last night wasnt as good as i had hoped, Lachlan woke at 10pm, not hungry just cranky, i tried for an hour to re settle him but there was no way he was going back to sleep and it would have been close to bottle time anyway so i got him up and gave him the bottle, he slept until 3.30 then 5.30 then 6.30 so still not too bad but not as good as it has been, i really think his teeth are bothering him that, and he did a BIG poo this morning too and hes been a bit happier since.
its such a lazy day today, i have just finished putting up the christmas tree, DF wouldnt help, hes not getting off the lounge today hes told me. We just had an argument because his work called to see if he could go and do some over time today, he is also working his RDO on tuesday and i just never see him, i told him this and he got really angry at me and told me to go and get a job so we can make ends meet. I know times are tough at the moment but i also think that he has NO trouble going up the club last night spending $40 on beer and who knows how much he spends a week on Cigarettes so dont tell me that we are struggling, When he gives those up i might take notice!!!
IK - Poor oscar, i felt so bad for him when i read your post!! the poor little pumkin. but i guess that comes with childhood, they are all going to fall over, fall off their bikes, scratch their knees etc. We just have to be there to comfort them, its all we can do!
Hi Dee... I meant to add that Niall is still giving me the odd bite now and again... and I also accidentally pushed him off quite roughly once due to reflex... he didn't cry though, so musn't have hurt or scared him... poor little guy... I think the penny will drop soon... I recall Wade going through a similar phase that lasted a week or two before he cottoned-on.
Oh Bath, i cant say ive had the pleasure of a bite yet! i dont imagine it would be nice.
Gee its quiet in here today, everyone is probably out doing family stuff, hard to do in this house when the cricket is on!!!!
Ha! The cricket is always on in this house too... but ATM DH is in Wade's bedroom sitting cross legged on the floor playing "trains" with him... and I'm taking Chrissy piccys of Niall.
Hey ladies, im here...
bout to start digging out clothes to wear to the BB xmas dinner tonight. Not doing very well, my good arm is aching due to it having to take on all the weight when i carry something, and i didnt sleep last night... between allie and my wrist grrr... and its so hard to pick her up!! i cannot use my left arm for anything atm, because if where i broke it i cant even move my fingers without pain...
had some panadol 15's before, not doing anything for the pain (got rid of my headache though!!) so stopped taking them. i want to have a few drinks tonight, and dont want to mix meds and wine...
dont worry about me, just feeling pretty sad, sore and sorry for myself.
Awww Simone... ouchy! I hope that the BB dinner tonight goes well and takes your mind off your pain! Can I sign your cast next Friday?! I'll help you make it pretty.
Ok... I've been summoned to check out the new train track design... back later...
Oh and one of the new Chrissy piccys of Niall that I uploaded onto his site shows his 2 new bottom teeth... he got them exactly the same time as Wade did according to his calendar.
Been putting up Chrissy lights today all around the house. Will see the effect later tonight.
Got kicked out of the house for awhile before as my two eldest kids have gone and organized something for dinner tonight without me knowing.
Hopefully going to mums tomorrow for a birthday lunch and then we'll head home Monday afternoon(kids have a day off!)
Hope your wrist feels better soon Simone!
Finally back from the party - it was such fun. They had a clown who was hilarious and the kids loved him. It was a nice day outside, but a bit windy.
Bath - love Niall's new santa photo, so cute! Someone bought Chelsea "The Christmas Story" by **** Bruin (sp?) who writes Miffy. It tells the whole story of Mary & Joseph, beautiful book with very simple pictures. It's important that they understand Christmas isn't just about the presents.
Dee - poor little man, sounds like his teeth are bothering him, it's horrible as there really isn't that much you can do for it. My MCHN told me to get some ice cubes, rub your finger on the ice and then rub their gums (cools them down) or put a soft face washer in the fridge, then when cold, let them chew on it. Not a very fair comment by DH esp when he is buying beer & cigarettes. Might have just been a spur of the moment comment?
Simone - feel so sorry for you! I really hope you enjoy yourself tonight, you deserve it. Have a drink for me and Make sure you tell us all about it tomorrow.
IK - not enough hours in the day to get done what you want! You'll be up 24 hours a day LOL!!!! Glad you got your bras. When I was feeding, the Loveable bras were the most comfortable and at least gave you some shape. Breakfast was divine this morning, no children! I had eggs benedict with bacon and the hollandaise sauce was beautiful, plus their jumbo coffee. Chelsea enjoyed dancing, they are doing a dance to xmas songs, very cute as I get a demo when she gets home.
Looking forward to my garlic prawns tonight. One more party tomorrow - a 4 yo fairy party, so Chelsea is looking forward to wearing her fairy dress, wings, tiara, wand - the works!!! I wish I had of got a fairy dress for Marley too as I have seen babies ones - very cute.
Might not get a chance to pop back tonight, so everyone have a great night.
Hiya Jess, Happy Birthday for tomorrow! I see you have adjusted your ticker... enjoy your 30's... it's the best decade I reckon :)
Hiya Mel: OOhhh garlic prawns yummo!!! They are soooo quick and easy... the only reason i'm not going to be a copy cat is cos they are so expensive! Might have them as a treat New Year's Eve dinner!
whoops... gotta go again...
Bath it's not too bad when only cooking for 2, Chelsea will eat only one or two. The other bonus is my friend is buying them - I am doing dessert (bread & butter pudding, again - I love it!!). You are right - so quick and easy, yet so tasty!!! My mouth is watering now LOL!!!
Thankyou bath. I loved being 30...not looking forward to 31 though!
Mum actually gave me a tip for Telstra Prepaid Plus phones..atm they have a deal that if you recharge for $30 and nominate 5 fixed/mobile Telstra numbers, you can ring those numbers FREE for 30 days, so I went and had a check on the telstra site and promptly signed up. I honestly feel like I'm cheating the system, but this deal is great.( My b'day present to myself!)
Tim made me breakfast this morning, a lovely vegemite sandwich! A little bit more vege than I would like but yummy all the same!
Roast Lamb and Chicky sandwiches for tea tonite, plus a "surprise" birthday cake! I wangled the information out of my aunt! Apparently Kate is going to be a waitress and after she takes our "orders" she will come back out and say that sorry there will be no meal served tonite as the chef has thrown a wobbly!LOL
Just a quickie tonight, Cody is 6 mths today, were has the time gone.
Simone hope the swelling has gone down and that you are enjoying dinner tonight.
Jess Happy birthday, I hope that your special dinner turns out nice.
Everyone else hope all is well.
hugs xoxo
Quick one from me too - Happy 6 months Cody!
Hello to everyone else (wave!!) Been to GF's daughter's first b'day party today - she is such a little doll! Flynn was a lamb and slept from 12 till 2pm, then from about 4 to 6pm then from 7pm till now - slept through getting lugged in and out of the car! I think all the rolling on the grass and being handed around tired him out.
Tree was up yesterday - looks FANTASTIC!! DH was lovely and put the lights on for me and even complimented the final product - he is usually gruffly anti-chrissy deccos - but the tree just looks so great with all the baubles! will post a piccy - Nic, must check out your tree -it sounds lovely!
gotta go - DH's b'day on tueday so having mates over tomorrow - happy B'day Jess - a sagitarius like my DH - your DH is lucky to have someone like you!
Bath- Nope never broken any bones (touch wood) skiing/snowboarding. i see Nialls teeth too, when did they come through?
DH has had plenty of injuries (spent alot of time in Canada in his younger yrs.
Amanda- Happy 6 months Cody whoo hoo!

anyway just great walking up the rd to then be home!
Simone- hope the BB dinner was ncie and how s your wrist?
Jess - happy birthday, sounds like you got spoilt by your family - even it was only vegemite sandwiches! Hope your birthday cake was yummy!
Amanda - happy 6 months Cody
Rory - Flynn is such a good bubba! Glad DH is getting into the xmas spirit, I think it makes a difference when you have a family, no matter how young they are. Looking forward to seeing your tree, Nic's looks great. We could have a tree competition LOL!!!!
Nic - sounds like your night was fun! Nice to make new friends in your street. We don't have any youngies around here, all oldies! Glad you made it home up the street LOL!!
My dinner was delicious and my bread & butter pudding a winner again! It's just started raining here - it better keep going!
Hope everyone has had a good night and catch you all tomorrow.
hey ladies
BB dinner was grea, dranka whole bottle of wine... H was meantto come pick me up but snapped the car keys off in the door. so have to find the spares if i want to go to austprem chrissy party tomorrow... wrist is still sore, but a little more bearable. there was 20 of us ther, met Logan (gorgeous!!) and Cailins Seth, he was just a cutie :D Had a blast :D :D
Hi all,
Sounds like a good day was had by most yesterday!
I bought some more Christmas presents at the market yesterday and then went to watch the fire brigade demo comp. We left there late and headed to my GF's for dinner and got home and into bed by 11...and Oscar has only woken once (at my insistence, to alleviate the pressure in my leaky boob!). In 15 mins we are supposed to be at the fire station for a first aid refresher...
The rain is lovely - kind of glad I had to cancel on helping out with my riding club's Christmas gymkhana to attend the refresher, I mean indoors vs outdoors in rain and cold...pretty easy! I do miss riding in the gymkhana, though, as I haven't done that for 3 years running now :(
Must remember to get the decorations box out and decorate the house!
I"ll be back later, with personals, but I'll eat somethign and then get the boys up...
Just a quickie... about to get ready for our trip into the city for Myer Santa piccys... Simone: that's great! I'm so glad you enjoyed the BB dinner... they are usually great for catching up with people you've seen on here and having a good chat... Hiya Amanda: Happy 6 months Amanda for Cody! ...Rory: I was a bit like your DH, a bit anti-Santa etc before having my own kids, funny how you change... Nic: sounds like you had a great time at your street party, you're going to LOL at all your typo's darl! hehe... Jess: hope you have a lovely RELAXING day today :)
Well last night we had our neighbours over for drinks and dessert. It was just a last minute thing... I made a raspberry shortcake, very quick and easy (made the shortcake a few days ago)... we are having another set of neighbours over tonight! Not sure what I'll make for them yet...
Well better hop to it... want to get there nice and early so that we are at the start of that loooooooong queue!
Morning all, must share. DH is scrubbing the upstairs shower, unprompted (other than by the horrible state it was in). God I love him :)
ETA: Bath, have fun with Santa!!
Hey ladies, just dropped in to say hi... nickers and i are going to our austprem chriissy party out in sunbury today... just wanted to send a big hi and  out to everybody :D hehe be on later girlies, ahve a great day!!
Simone - sounds like you had a great night, glad you enjoyed it. Was the food good? Have a great day at the austprem xmas party with Nic.
Bath - hope the kids enjoy Santa and the queues aren't too long. Raspberry shortcakes sound yum, can you give the same thing to the other set of neighbours?
Rory - got to love a man that cleans a shower without having to be asked!
IK - hope you made it to your refresher in time. Its hard getting motivated so early on a Sunday morning!!!
Off to the 4 yo princess party at 3pm. Chelsea wants to wear glitter on her face too!!
Everyone enjoy your day. :)
OMG I think EVERY family had the same idea as us regarding Santa photos at Myer this morning... we got there at 5 past 10 and the queue was the longest I've ever seen it in all my four years of doing it! Melbourne Junies: it was down to the sales desk in the Christmas tree area of the decorations section! So we gave that a miss... decided to return to Melbourne Central, did a bit of shopping, then (because we had the car) drove up to the Diamond valley miniature train instead. The queue there wasn't as "bad" as usual (probably because everyone was in at Myer!!!!) so we got straight on a ride. Wade loved every minute of it! Now we are home and I'm preparing for our guests tonight... Mel: nah, we ate all the shortcake and raspberries last night so I'm just going to whip up a quick chocolate cake instead.
Rory: Standing ovation for your DH (they generally need recognition for that kinda stuff LOL)
hehehe just read my post from last night OOPS!!
luckily Nixon knew it was Sunday thismorning and slept till 10am! so, so did i.... the power was out for some unknown reason thismorning...
Just got back from Austprem chrissy party, was good to put faces to names, kiddies had fun, was good to see yah again Simone, met Ryan & got a cuddle of Anneliese!
Poor Declan was sick in the car when they were leaving, is he alright now?
Nixon was his usual smiley self. Simone u will be happy to know i got home DH has done the edges and lawns of the back & front yard, cleaned the garage and back paving area!
i took a pic of Nix in his chrissy gear to use as a xmas card, i will upload it on our ticker now if it works.
Mel hope the party is fun.
Yay for DH cleaning up as he was meant to...
Declan was sick again just as we pulled up in the drive way, is currently in bed (got his old cot mattress out and covered it in towels) i hope he's better now though, as i cant do any washing atm... Isnt cuddling anneliese like cuddling a ft newborn?!! Will try and get some photo's to you nic...
Hi everyone!
I started Christmas shopping yesterday and can't believe the amount of people around! It was a fair bit crammed at Kmart for the 20% off toys sale! I am going to give a Bratz doll to their wishing tree this year. My neice loves everything Bratz but she has just about all of their dolls and stuff! I got her a Bratz clock but I think she might already have one! Will have to check. Still gotta buy for 2 nephews and 2 unborns yet. Payday on Wednesday so will have to hang on until then.
Am going back on the pill today (microgyn) if anyone else is on IT or has been on it can you let me know? I would like to know if it makes you put on weight and the pharmacist reckons they're all the same - but I know they're not! If I do get weight gain will have to go back to barrier method as I still need to loose 13kgs!.
I bought a sippy cup for Aleise today and she's totally puzzled with it.. she tried sucking it like a bottle and water went all over her chest and tummy.. well its pretty hot so at least it cooled her down a bit. Do they eventually get the hang of sippy cups or what?? She will be 6 months too on Friday. Ohhh Happy 6 months CODY!
Must get the Xmas tree and cards organised.. Nothing else to report really.. will do personals next time as there's too much to catch up on.
Seeya!
Neeny, they do get the hang of them... There's tommy tippee one thats a cup, but the cpout is more like a teat... they are normally on the bottom shelf where the bottle and everything are hanging up in the kiddie section...
Happy 6m cody for yesterday... :D
Happy Birthday Jess! Hope your kiddies and DH are spoiling you...
I hope Declan is ok Simone, maybe he just ate to much do you think Kids always go crazy when it comes to chips/cakes etc.
Lots of posts for a weekend!
Refresher was good and Oscar was quite manageable. DP may be going away next week to do some firefighting...so I get to stay home holding the baby, so to speak. I'm stewing on a couple of issues to do with women in the fire services. I haven't formulated anything solid in my head, so I'm still just 'grrrring' at the moment. Men are such wet blankets when it comes to accommodating anyone other than male, adult humans.
Glad your dinner went well, Mel - bread and butter pudding sounds lovely!
Rory - nice of DH to take the initiative eventually! DP eventually cleans the toilet because ages ago I declared that I won't clean it. I have no objection other than that DP needs a token area to clean, as I keep the bathroom clean that we both use (not to mention other parts of the house...).
Pity about the queues, Bath! I remember doing the queue when I was a kid. I remember the rooftop carnival, too! My mum took us every year, without fail.
Well, I'm feeling a bit defeated at the moment and it's making me really quite tired (related to my stewings re:above). Might have a snooze while Oscar's also sleeping...got heaps to do around here, but I think I need a nap.
NIc - the funny thing is he barely ate anything, just half a sausage. HE threw up again about 10 mins again, just some water i gave him a little while ago, so everything that goes into his stomach bounces almost straight back up. He's dry reaching now, but wont drink or eat anything, its as if he knows that he will throw up again if he does... poor little man. something always has to be wrong in this household!! Just  its not gastro...
OMG Declan was having a cuddle with DH while i ate my dinner (he wont let anyone put him down) and he threw up ALL over DH twice, then when i went to put him in the shower, did it twice more... when i got him out, i put a nappy on him, then had to help xander with going to the toilet, and when i came out, declan had put himself to bed!! HE really must be sick... In for a long night, Dh has gone to work the Elton John concert, so its just me...
Where's everyone tonight?? Ill be lurking Mwahahaha
