That's what I meant to do! I was going to recommend MooGoo for Marley as well! I"m going to take some over for my sister to see if it helps her. Hmm, that reminds me, should probably put in my order now so that I have some more ready to go for the New Year...
Great about the smoking, Simone! It has to be better to feel great for less money than to be out of pocket, feel crap, guilty and shave some years off your life span!
Rory - LOL about the 1.5 hours, I'd freak out about that, too! Tells ya what, karma is going to bite us in the arse next time round...if not, then what the hell did I do right in my previous life???
Just posted a big list of what I love at Aldi...
I have just started one of a thousand loads of washing I want to do before Friday, so that I can pick from clean clothes what I want to take to NZ...and that's just from Oscar's wardrobe!
Back to it, and to following up missing deliveries...
-
Mum said i was the angel baby, and then she had my sister, who was the feed every 2 hours, would scream until rocked to sleep etc type of baby... mum reckons if she had kellie first she would've stopped!! (I think she's a liar, after kellie she had 4 more!!)
Found the bach rescue, i just googled it!! Might have to give it a go... Some night Xanders staying up until midnight, he just wont settle. No wonder its puts them to sleep, look at the ingredients!! "Rock Rose, Star of Bethlehem, Impatiens, Cherry Plum, Clematis (27% Brandy Alcohol) - 10 ml" (thats for the small one!!) I might wait until you see what ages its good for, they do say its a homeopathic remedy.
What date do you leave for NZ IK?? And you list was so funny - only because it looks like you just sat at your cupboard!! I think you either love or hate aldi (except me, i can go either way. Some of their stuff i like, but i couldnt do a big shop there.)
-
Ha, Sim, yeah, it would have read like an inventory! I actually just visualised the aisles and what I pick from them! It seems disorganised to an Aldi virgin, but once you get comfy with the layout you are in and out with your shopping. It's very hard to forget something from your list, or if you leave it off your list, to forget it once you're there cos you'll pass it in the aisle and remember. People say there's not much choice in product, but what they do offer is so good that there's no point wanting a choice of 3 or 4 brands for the same thing.
Oscar is crawling in the kitchen and for the first time I don't mind...cos I was up till about 2am cleaning the floor, doors, white goods (so that they actually look white)...with my magic Powerforce cream cleanser! At least the kitchen will be clean when I get back from NZ...
Oh, yeah, leaving Saturday arvo for the airport. Getting back on the 6th.
It's so nice not to imagine all the germies crawling on his belly after a jaunt in the kitchen.
Funny story #1: last night DP came in to the kitchen to alert me to Oscar's second attempt at a bath. He had a shower with DP, but while I was cleaning and DP was supposed to be watching him, he crawled off to the bathroom...and crawled into the shower to play with the bottles on the floor (MooGoo too big for the shower caddy!)...he was saturated all along his belly, but do you think he cared? Lucky that MooGoo can be swallowed with no ill-effects!
Funny Story #2: happened just now. There was a laundry basket (empty) perched on a bucket and he brought it down over himself...so that he looked like a turtle. He didn't cry, just mumbled at it before eventually getting it off himself. Lucky I can see him from where I'm typing! Now he's been corralled by the two laundry baskets and is getting frustrated that he can go no further...starting to cry...why can't he just play with his maracas and bells here on the loungeroom rug??
-
you will find they never play with toys, just everything else, ESPECIALLY if its poisonous, sharp or at all dangerous...
-
just realised I have lost the dates on my ticker...must retrieve...
-
In about 15 mins check the punching bag, im so angry right now... And no its not DH for once...) Going to write my boohoo now... before i lose face and go have a smoke...
-
Hi all,
ive just browsed through the entire thread to catch up a bit, currently looking after Nixon and his cousin its my test at having twins lol! they are BOTH asleep at the moment whoo hoo.
Bath- i love your new Avater looks awesome! love the head band too doesnt look like a santa hat!
christmas cake- my mum traditionally makes chrissy cake and also pudding, yummo they are the best, so far i havent come across one i like more then mums!
****tails- someone mentioned ****tails so i just thought i would say last xmas at my friends place (cause we stayed in melb last yr and went tot hey day) they had this pina colada frozen thing, i could only have one as i was pg but it was very yummy. the other day i thought about it and rang her to ask where u get it, she said i would probably find it hard to find anywhere still has them cause they are so popular. so after a fair bit of internet googling etc i found a place not far from my sisters, rang them and they have it!
They also have strawberry daquri, magaretta ones. it comes in a tub is about $20 called "urban thrist" u add whatever (for pina colada its rum) and put it in the freezer, then u get this rimming sugar and put that around the glass, so looking forward to it!
waxing- i usually just get my eyebrows donw and had a xxx a few times but not religiously. before my wedding i had my lip waxed cause i was paranoid when a few ppl told me they could see the hair on my lip! (only blonde but shone in the sunlight!!) speaking of which i really need all area's attended to at the moment!
weather- looking forward to it only being 22 in sydney also! what a change its usually hot or windy or smokey or something unpleasant with a house full of people!
Happy 6 monnths Nathan, Oscar & Marley!
Nixon was 8 months on Sunday.
anyway Alyssa has just woken up so better go get her, hi to everyone else hope ur having a good day
-
Hey Nic, hope your enjoying your holiday :D
Happy 8 month to Nixon!!! He's getting so big... and i love your ticker - ttc again!! congrats and good luck for when you start trying, pregnancy is very diff the second time around...
-
"you will find they never play with toys, just everything else, ESPECIALLY if its poisonous, sharp or at all dangerous..." (Simone) Sooooo true!!!
IK: cleaning floors at 2am? I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do that! ;) Well done! Oscar is doing so well to be that mobile... I know you don't want to wish his babyhood away but that's all very impressive, loved the turtle scenario. I'm a boring old mum... Niall doesn't get much of a chance to explore... he has about 5 set places where I put him on a rotational basis: white cot/porta-cot/highchair/Wade's bed (has a safety guard-rail) and the lounge floor rug when Wade's in bed. I can't leave him on the floor when Wade's awake because he's just as likely to accidentlly step on him :( or get caught in the cross-fire betwwen Wade and Verity as they argue and/or run through the house. Enough "woe is me" for one day I think (me).
Nic: Thanks regarding my new av... I took your suggestion on board and added all my kids... if anyone wants their av updated let me know... I'm really starting to enjoy it! IK: I'm hanging out to do one for you! I can kinda visualise Oscar being worn in a back-pack style carrier... you've got one of those haven't you? And of course I'd have to add Odin and somehow find a horse (or design one myself) to add... giving Oscar a loving nuzzle... even if you don't end up joining I might do one for you anyhow and email out to everyone so we can think of that when we read your posts LOL tell me to stop being silly if you have to! LOL
Niall asleep... cuppa time...
Amanda: How's Cody? I sped-read the posts the other day... sorry if I missed the update... (this applies to everyone... if I missed anything I oughtn't have).
-
bath - anneliese spends alot of time in her portacot so the boys dont crush her... hshe can have tummy time or whatever she wants, and be left alone.
Alright, must go check on my cat, i think she's further along than first though, she's been really off today... nesting signs :omg:
-
hi all,
Baths - your new av is fantastic.. I do belive it is the best one on the whole site!!
simone - that is great news about your smoking... I used to take a really strong multi called USANA (it costs like $70 per month) and that helped me give up... it was the hardest thing I ever did. We are all very proud of you.. Keep it up honey.
IK - I love that photo of Oscar, he looks like a little lamb.
Rory - Hugs, sometimes our little ones can cause us a lot of greif.... but by the sounds of it from those with older kids, the worst is yet to come.. LOL
Moogoo: well, after me telling the whole world about it from you guys to my whole family and my other mothers group they have run out of stock!!! Darn.. I will have to wait till next year... it takes 3 months to make...
Still on holidays in Yamba, currently typing while looking at the water, in an hour or two the dolphins will swim by (they go by twice a day).. We watch them from the deck.. So unreal here! Ally has been a dream baby, she has a new routine where she sleeps for like 2 hours a day.. I don't know what to do with myslef - LOL...
well, must run, this PC is super slow and a tad annoying.. hope to chat soon...
Hi Nickers, Mel, Amanda.. and everyone else...
-
Oh CeeCee! What gorgeous imagery! Dolphins! *sigh* enjoy every second darl :) oh and golly gee *blush* ta 'bout my av LOL Where's yours? Didn't buy another year's membership or waiting for an update?
Oh and IK: loved the sentiments on your e-card LOL!!!!
MooGoo: Warning: careful ordering the cleansing oil: mine leaked in the mail... i could smell it as soon as I opened the mailbox!!!!! I've yet to email the guy about it (Craig, we almost have a pen pal relationship going... i've been giving my reports about all the products i've tried and now he's asking for advice regarding packaging!) ... oh and i got a complimentary sample size goat's milk soap which i felt VERY privileged about as I also read they have sold out of the full sized bars. Such a wonderful wonderful cottage industry!
-
en-liven is meant to cost about $60 per month... i might stay on 2tsp a day until i've completely quit though. Glad your enjoying your holiday - go do something while ally's asleep, like read a book lol!!
-
Sim: My batch only cost $53 this time because I got a %10 discount... and next order I will probably get %15 off... to a maximum of %20 I think... it's going to be delivered tomorrow... can't wait. Don't worry if you are having detox gas symptoms... it does eventually settle down.
Smoke's getting worse here! What's the latest on the fires... i need to catch some kind of news report... or visit the CFA site I think...
Mel: You inspired me recently with talk of bread and butter pudding.... had some sweet bread that i had made in the breadmaker left over (stale) but the flavour was still yum so turned it into pudding... it's still 'setting' in the 'fridge... I'll bake it tonight when it's cooler... meant to let the bread absorb the milk and cream overnight anyhow for best results... also i added a little bit of coconut milk that I had left over... bit of an experiment... but i like to sprinkle a bit of desicated coconut ontop anyway so this should just enhance that component of the overall flavour... I usually use Seville orange marmalade... used raspberry jam in this one... wish i had a blow torch to caramalise the top like the chef did where I worked... but i guess i could stick it under the grill if it doesn't brown nicely on top... dontcha just love that sweet sugary crust that forms on top? i also sprinkle on a bit of extra sugar ontop... LOL so much for me saying I've got my sugar cravings under control! ROFL
-
Baths - yeah, craig is super nice. Yes, they have sold out of the goats milk soap which is what I always order - luckily I always buy 6 bars at a time and re-order when I have one left, so I won't run out...
My BB membership, well I tried to re-join via the credit card however they said that unless I cancel my subscription they will take money out each year, I wanted to make that decion each year, as what if I forget about it and for the next 10 years they take money out and I don't realise.. I have had that happen to me before - I will no longer join anything that takes my money automatically each year, but then I could not figure out how to make a one off payment and then I read that there were no longer $36 payments so I thought it was all too hard... I LOVE BB and want to support it, however I need to figure out how I can without annual bills.
simone - I have a few books coming for Xmas, so need to wait till Xmas day... but Mum and Dad have Foxtel, so may go veg out in front of TV.. DH is picking up horse poo (they have a few horses here) then will fish off their jetty (he catches as least two fish a day, so we are eating a LOT of fish - he hee)... Mum grows her own vegies as well so we rarely need to go shopping for food.. it is all pretty different to my little unit in the city!
-
Become a lifetime member CC, it gets cheaper each year you have been a plat member (about $90 if you've been a plat mem for 1 yr) and you'll be a member for life!! (30 years anyway!!) I did that so i didnt have to worry about not having the money when renewal came up.
Bath - i've decided to buy 2 at a time, that way i will never run out, and i get the free shipping. Works out nicely :) I'm now officially taking 2tsp a day, its also helped me get rid of tonsillitis in 3 days without a/b's!!
-
YES!!! get life... great value at only $90 once you've been a Plat member for a year.
Ok... my least favourite time of the day is upon me... ughhhhh
ETA: woohoo DH rang to say I don't need to cook dinner (a proper meal) because he had a huge work lunch... yay! you can't beleive how much this takes the pressure off! The kids can just have eggs...
ETA: also I'm definatly going to try Bach's on the kids... I've tried it myself... worth a go.
-
Well I took the boys to the park today and met up with two ladies from BB and we let the kids run around playing on the equipment. Kailen and Lockie were playing on a jungle gym and some older boys came over and after a few minutes one of the older boys started to throw sand at both my boys so I went over and told Kailen and Lockie to go, then I had a few words with this boy. I asked why was he throwing sand at the boys as they were alot younger then him and he got so agro, I asked how old he was and he told me 13, so I told him to start acting his age, he started going off so I just walked away and we made sure none of the kids went near these boys. Bloody kids wish they were more respectful, and what are 13 yr olds doing at a play area aimed at younger kids grrr.
Bath he's still not 100% but he's getting there, he wasn't feeding properly last night and this morning and now for the last 2-3 feeds hes been fine, so who knows I'm just keeping an eye on him.
Simone I saw you posted in my thread about yoghurt, stewed fruit. You just chop up your apples or pears with skin off and put in a pot with some water and simmer until they are tender, then blend them up in the blender with a little of the water that you cooked them in.
Nic I hope your enjoying your holiday and happy 8 mths to Nixon.
Hello to IK, Rory, Mel and CeeCee.
hugs xoxo
-
I hope cody gets better soon amanda... thanks for the tips on the fruit, not that anneliese's is eating it or anything LOL I'm going to try again this weekend. Every second sat when the boys are in bed i give solids a go...
Havent sorted dinner out yet, dont know if i can be bothered!! If we do, it'll prolly be lamb chops and mash tato.
-
You girls chat so much during the day, so much to catch up on!
Went to work for xmas party and it was great catching up with old work mates and meeting some new ones. Lunch was nice, we all bought a plate of something sweet or savoury. I made Mars Bar slice - it was so good! Poor Marley looked so blotchy - her face was red on one side and she is still scratching. I was really hoping to avoid cortisone, but its not looking that way at the mo.
Bath - bread and butter pud tastes so good with fruit bread. I have also done it with croissants and bread sticks. Croissant was very nice. I sprinkle some nutmeg on the top too and special ing is vanilla bean. Love the crusty, crunchy bits. I have a bit of a sweet tooth - may explain why I haven't lost any more weight LOL!!!
IK - couldn't access Callista today, I no longer have a valid password!!! The other staff member who has access had already left - sorry! Sounds like you have it in hand though. PML about Oscar being a turtle!!!! Hope you got all your washing done, I haven't done any for 2 days and its piling up.
Rory - your second might not be a devil child. Chelsea was a good baby and I was expecting the demon, but Marley is just a good if not better than Chelsea as a baby. There is hope!!! Glad to hear he is almost over his illness, bummer about his restless night though - makes you thankful they are not like that all the time. Where are your pics from your dinner out?? All frocked up???
Simone - hope cat doesn't have her babies to soon, how is she today? We should start finding a date for our c0cktail party so we can book it in. Good on you with the battle of the ciggies!
CC - it sounds like a dream where you are! Dolphins, fishing, horses, growing vegies. Will make it hard to come back to city life. So glad to hear Ally is sleeping well for you. Enjoy the quiet "you" time that you get.
Amanda - I hate older kids playing on equipment designed for younger ones. When we were at McD's on Monday a school bus of kids arrived and all came out into the playground which is quiet small. They looked well over 12! My GF went straight inside and said "who is the teacher", this guy sheepishly put up his hand and she told him to "tell your students to get out of the playground, there are young kids in there!". They were going down the slide on trays, and being very rough with each other. They were all boys - the teacher came out and told them to get out! Glad you said something, but the respect issue with kids is such a problem.
MooGoo - is it good for ezcema? And what should I use from their range? The stuff I have started to use hasn't done that much good, but I have only been using it for a day!
-
Cee-Cee: If there is any Moo Goo products that you desperatly need I could probably get them for you and post it over, because it is made in WA there are quite a few chemists that stock the products (one at my locals shopping centre), and they have a fairly good range of the products......just let me know (that goes the same for anyone else that is in desperate need of Moogoo)
-
Anyone want to suggest a date for our c0cktail party?? maybe mid-end jan??
-
OK I've finally put the pics up of the boys with Santa and our chrissy tree, just go to my home page.
Ali I'll email you again after chrissy about Kailen, sorry I haven't got round to doing it yet and thanks for the help.
hugs xoxo
-
quick one from me - all this talk of Aldi made me visit a store - not bad!
in fact I went to our local shopping centre (Airport West) and flynn fell asleep as soon as I got there. so I cruised coles, safeway, bi-lo and aldi looking for discounted bargain items. LOL- Bath, thought of you crusing coles after a fight with your DH!
better go and make dinner - BBL
-
Amanda: Just checked out your Chrissy piccy of the boys and Santa :) They all look so relaxed! He must have been a very nice Santa. When I get around to scanning our piccy you'll see poor Wade was very uncomfortable... leaning away from the gentlest little old Santa I've ever seen! Also Cody's looking better :) A very healthy twinkle in his eye.
-
Love airport west - my local too!! Rory, hows that hippo from the op shop going?? For $5, inst it brilliant? :D
We didnt bother with santa pics this year (the formal shops one) the boys have seen about 3 diff santa's at xmas parties, we have gotten some good pics from there.
-
D'oh - I forgot the hippo!!! Better got here tomorrow and plead "sick child" - LOL!!
For you other Junies - Simone and a GF spotted a fisher price gobble and go hippo in my local opp shop for $5. I tried to buy it on Saturday but only had a $50 note, so I said I would get it on Monday. whoops!!
-
Its all good rory, better hope they havent sold it on... didnt they say they were closing wed until jan 8?? hope not :(
Its in great nic, we couldnt believe how cheap :D
-
hi gals..
$90 for a life member, I think I will do that.. thanks girls.
Baths - I know what you mean about not having to cook dinner on occasion - it is like getting an early mark from school or something LOL! The Bread & Butter pudding sounds amazing... tell us if it worked.
Amanda: hope Cody is 100% better soon - those older kids at the park sound like they need a good smack on the bum!
Mel - I don't think there is a cure or magic potion for any skin condition, even cortorsone (sp?) does not cure it, however some of the moogoo products can help manage the condition, have a look on the website for some ideas, perhaps the goats milk soap and the udder cream may help, but I think if Marley's skin is SUPER bad you may need something stronger, however when it calms down, then use MooGoo to keep it under control. She will probably still have flare ups when you need serious medication. (My best friends children suffer so I know a little bit about it).
Ali - awww... that is so sweet of you - thanks darl... I'm good right now as I always order in advance, I was just surprised to see it out of stock!
Amanda - going to check out your pics now... I have a great one of Ally, but when I tried to load it, my ticker failed and now I don't have any ticker photo... can't get it to load anything... darn... oh well, will have to wait till I return.
off to bed
thanks for the Xmas gretting IK, hope to chat before you leave, if not, have a great time.. and look forward to chatting next year.
-
Rory - gotta love an op shop bargain, hope you can go back and get it. Did you buy anything from Aldi. There are so many good things there and after reading the thread about it, I might try some other stuff that I have been reluctant to try.
Simone - I have Chelsea's party on 20 Jan and the following weekend is Aust Day, but we don't go away then so whatever weekend suits the majority. Can't wait.
CC - what medication did your friends kids have? The dr told me that cortisone is quiet strong and affects the way skin cells regenerate, so should only be used as a last resort and they may recommend 2 days on, 2 days off until its under control. She has been so ratty tonight, scratching like mad and then hurting herself. If it doesn't start improving soon, might have to go back to drs - feel so sorry for her as I know how annoying it is to be itchy. The heat doesn't help either and her skin feels quite hot. Was thinking of posting a thread about it and see what others have used. Should try the MooGoo, got nothing to lose but alot to gain if it helps.
Amanda - pics are beautiful! You have 4 very spunky little boys and chrissy tree looks fantastic!
-
Thanks girls they are good looking boys, if I do say so myself, lol.
Well I think I may have solved the problem with Cody, I think he may have been over fed, cause tonight he did another biiiggg spew, but was laughing straight after. What do you girls think? I've never had one of the boys do huge spews if they were over fed.
Going to bed now, nighty night.
hugs xoxo
-
Cortisone thins the skin if used for prolonged periods...i like pawpaw cream, that always works on Xander
Amanada - declan just used to keep feeding until he spewed, we used to have to stop and let it settle, then see if he was still hungry... GL
-
Good morning...yep, I had to apply cortisone to the tip of Wade's pen!s because the skin was too tight and ballooning every time he did a wee. Cortisone in this case thinned and loosened it but it still balloons a bit... I'll have to take him back to the paed and see if he might even need to be circumsized... not my prefered option but better than repeated infection and pain later in life.
I'm waiting for my In-Liven then going to do a little more grocery shopping... might need to hang around the shops if it hits the predicted 35'C.
IK: are you still around? You're leaving on the 23rd are you? I also wanted to wish you a safe and fun journey... we'll miss you! try to get online over there, even briefly.
kids fighting over the bananas... better go!
-
Kids fighting over fruit?? And people said this day would never come... just put the prices up $10 a kilo LOL (govt conspiracy :D)
I use cortisone on Xanders skin when i've tried everything else, there's a cream you can get over the counter, about $10 a tube, and its the step down fro aristocort (the cortisone cream) and its does the trick. Still use it sparingly, but its not as bad for their skin.
I dont know what im going to do today, DH told me to do washing, but i cant be bothered, its gonna be too hot... at least the kids are in aircon, they took them out or their outside play at 8am so they could stay inside when the kids would usually go for their outside play. Me, i should go shopping, but dont know... Meant to go for my ct scan, but cant get an appt into the fracture clinic on the same day so going to rescedule it. Dont want to do 2 runs!!
Oh and hows this for ridiculous?? DH borrowed 2 books from th library for Xander when we first got to melbourne, as we forgot to bring some with us and xander likes having a bedtime story read to him. So we borrowed 2. When we were moving around before we found a house, we couldnt find it anywhere, and told the library so. They just told us to keep them updated and to bring them in when we found them. We started getting letters "Overdue books" etc, and then got one "You owe us $181 due to you not returning these 2 books" WTF??!! The next one was $250... then they addad $160 solicitors fees onto it!! I found the books, and told them, and they said keep them, we just want the money... So i rang the solicitors this morning, and they said "if you just reutrn the books, we will wipe your slate, including fees." Why couldnt the library say that?? What if i had just paid it, as we got a notice to say we were going to court soon... We called their bluff. D1ckheads...
-
Morning girls - funny sort of morning, very smoky but not too bad. Wind is quiet nice. Chelsea's last day a kinder today, she looked so cute, she had on her Santa tshirt and her rudolf hair ties! DH has gone to shops to pick up our laybys. Glad its him and not me. I will be doing my run late tomorrow night!!!
Marleys skin is not much better today. I have gone back to the sorbolene and that has made the skin less red. The eczema cream seemed to make it worse! Will just keep slathering on the sorbolene and see what happens. It is so frustrating!
Amanda - never had a spewy baby either so I'm not much help LOL!!!
Bath - poor Wade, is it painful for him when it happens?
Simone - well done for calling their bluff! Bugger paying that much in fines
Getting ready to chat on messenger with the GF from America. It has been snowing very heavily and she sent me photos, it looks amazing! Very traditional white christmas for them!
Back later!
-
I'm still around, got back really late from brigade last night (ummm, this morning), cos we won't see anyone till the New Year. A normal club situation would have seen us just say "Merry Christmas" and be on our way, but these are people we see at least twice a week, every week of the year - me for near on 5 years and DP for 4, and we won't be around for the festive season for the first time in a long time. So, it was a late one.
Oscar has just woken and is playing with DP - must have woken in a good mood, again, I can hear chortlings.
Simone - how stupid about the books! I can see the solicitors' faces now, thinking "They're KIDS books, what a joke!". No-one is going to take that action seriously, when the books are going to be worth about $40 combined and you can provide medical certs to prove hardship and difficulty in getting the books back. Sheesh!
Bath - poor Wade! I hope that skin problem clears up soon. Thanks for your Chrissy wishes :) I will most likely have an opportunity to get online (I've only realised recently that my sister is not the funster I always thought she was - DP shakes his head and wonders where I ever got that illusion from!). Will bring laptop even though I don't have my battery from the computer shop yet (still waiting, still calling them to annoy them).
Ok, gotta feed an awake boy...
ETA: Nup, not hungry, just exploring the rug and what's on it again.
Just missed your post, Mel - like Simone suggested, have you tried paw paw cream to settle it down? DP was at Knox for the 24 hr trade last year and it was quiet enough, so it should be ok! Chaddy 24 hr trade is madness - there are people who go there instead of to clubs so that they can be seen!
And white Christmas...anyone who really wants one of these should head to Mt Buller on Monday...tipped to snow! That'll put a fire out, I'm tipping!
More washing to tend to...
-
Mel:Oh a white Christmas would be lovely! One day i want to spend Chrissy in Switzerland... Had a holiday in London one December but came back before Chrissy... but saw Harrods all decked out and I could imagine what it would be like... but it didn't snow... Chrissy in Scotland would also be lovely... especially in Edinborough... love that city!
Wade doesn't seem to be in pain when he wees but when it get's bigger later in life it'll be a problem... it'll be an issue to be sorted out next year when the dust settles.
ETA: Sorry Sim and IK... missed your posts... Wade's ratty already :( he's just wandering around the house whinging, tripping over his feet and crying etc... Verity has done a puppet show for him which he watched and enjoyed but now he's back miserable again.... he's not sick... just bored I think... wish this damn delivery would arrive so i can get out of here! Good on you Simone ringing the solicitor... they obviously saw sense. Mel: I think sorbolene will just moisturize, won't contribute to actual healing... the paw paw might have some active ingredient that might help... I've heard a lot of good things about it... also try visiting a good health food store rather than just a chemist... Manuka honey has excellent healing properties, have you heard of that?
I'm washing like you IK... make sure you fit in a rest today girly!
-
Tipped to snow when there's a bushfire raging?? havent heard of that one before... Typical bloody melbourne...
Well, im considering getting out and doing something, im bored sitting around the house with a cat thats swiping my legs everytime i try and walk anywhere (batty thing she is) SIL wants me to go to vic markets, but dont know if i can be bothered, its goig to be so hot... apparently only 32 now though (dh set up on my toolbar what th min and max are meant to be, and i get pop ups every 30 mins when BOM updates their system. Not bad!! Its 28 atm in Essendon.
-
Im off ladies, going to do something productive with my day off...
If im not on tomorrow, dont stress. DH has been a bit of an ass, and has told me he'll turn the internet off if i dont do some washing and tidy up (i refuse do do it because im sick of him dictating to me when and for how long i can go online, and how the house should be done. He doesnt ever help, and im struggling with mt wrist the way it is at the moment!! So angry at him right now... any one know how much for a quickie divorce??)
ETA might go somewhere swa nky for lunch... any suggestions??? :D
I get my pawpaw stuff from the chemist, about $13 a tub and i lather it on... try putting some natural rolled oats into a stocking (just one of your old pantyhose) and make sure its cant escape, and use that instead of soap. Apparently the "juice" it makes is good for the skin, thats what mum used to use to wash those of us with eczema. Just replace every few days. I use that and the pawpaw for xander (plus sorbolene in between - i also wash xander in sorbolene) Try all that and you may be able to avoid cortesone cream... ill keep trying to think of more natural remedies i use.

Bath - my GF was in Malaysia last year for xmas, so it was stinking hot and so humid. This year she has freezing temps and snow!!! Would be pretty wouldn't it. Never been OS, so love hearing other peoples travel stories, makes me want to go! At least those of us who have traditional xmas lunches can enjoy it. I might make some lentil, bacon and veg soup for entree if it is going to be as cold as they say. The Manuka honey I have heard of, can you buy that in an ointment form from health food shops?
Ik - definately can't see the hills today. Pretty smoky outside. Hope you get all your washing done and time to chill out! Its fun going out to the all night shopping, seeing who else is a crazy as me LOL!!
Simone - DH shouldn't be dictating when you clean and use the internet - that's a little too controlling  . You should be able to do what you want, when you want! Do a quick whizz around if you have to, but not because he told you to. It not very fair, but I know you know that. Go out for lunch and enjoy yourself. Housework will always be there when you get home LOL!!!
Thanks girls for the suggestions for Marley's eczema. I have heard of the paw paw cream and it's pretty greasy isn't it? I can't rub anything in too much as the friction of rubbing it in makes her skin too hot. Its so strange as no one in either side of our families has ever had eczema or any hayfever type allergies and it is usually hereditary. Chelsea never had skin problems! I hope it clears up soon as she looks terrible and I know its itchy her. Willing to try anything at the mo so keep any suggestions coming.
