LOL IK :) I'm only a 'dark horse' because before discovering BB I was used to being judged heavily for nearly every thing I thought or did! LOL I am the only person in my entire extended family to have had children outside of wedlock which has been kinda tricky... I'm also the first to have received a uni degree (mum got into nursing the old fashioned way... more akin to an apprenticeship), lived in Victoria, married a banker (this was the worst act of treachery I swear! LOL) the first and only to have a tattoo and the list could go on! So I reveal stuff slooooowly and cautiously out of habit ;)
Gotta shower Wade... he's had an accident :(
-
Can I join the anarchist group - DH and I have been married for 13 years come this December (yes, I was a child bride at 20) but we only got married for the Austudy LOL!!!!
-
Lol Bath yor scarlet woman, lol.
Lol You girls are so funny, who cares, lol, maried not married, it doesn't matter,SIL and BIL have been together for 21 years and they aren't married. I have an exfriend who had a $40ooo wedding and divorced 6 months in. My sis and her DP have been together nearly 9 years, not married. Lol, Bath if you move to Dubai you'll have to get married, either that or get thrown in jail and deported.  So glad we live in Australia.
Dig you Amanda, a BBQ at the park twice in one week, I'm looking forward to Thursday.
I'm off the the Baby expo on Friday with a few of the Gold Coast girls, think I have a free ticket, yay.
Nickers How was the Wiggles? I just bought my tickets for Dec shows, I got 4 hot potato seats in S42A row E they are excellent seats just above stage level, quite close.
We went last year it was good but we were sat right back up the top so it was better to watch the screen. Grrr for having to buy Nathan a seat, he'll sit in my lap anyway. Oh well it'll be great.
-
Dee I will add to your list of marriage craziness - I worked with a woman who was still paying off her daughter's wedding - 5 years after the daughter got divorced!!!
-
Ha! You didn't even reveal the tatt, I found it! Oooh, that could sound dodgy...but I assure everyone, it's not...
I have to go soon and collect a carseat from a GF, for my sister to borrow while she's here - she arrives tonight.
Have a good day, all :)
-
Rory - what a busy weekend! It would have been so nice to climb into your own bed!
Amanda - sounds like a good weekend. Have fun at your bbq. Definately not bbq in Melb at the moment, so chilly!
IK - how exciting that your sister is coming, you must be very excited. Her baby must be so big now! How long is she hear for? Enjoy it. Hope Oscar is feeling better, poor little man.
Bath - LOL about the "dark horse" comment! I definately don't think that when I see you! I was shocked about the tatoo though lol! I am far too much of a wuss to get one.
7th - $40 grand on a wedding! Thats madness and esp now they are divorced!
Tali - I know Ferny Creek too, I used to work up at Kalorama before kids. Also pretty familiar with the other areas you mentioned to. Hopefully you get to come down at Xmas and we get to meet you.
Well I am starting to get my clothes ready for my first day back at work tomorrow! Thankfully DH is still on holidays so I only have to get myself ready. He will look after Marley and take Chelsea to kinder. I am sort of nervous but looking forward to it at the same time. It will be nice to get dressed up and not have any food hanging off me!!!! It is going to be a big shock to my system having to get up early (6.30ish). I also need to get dinner sorted for tomorrow night too as I won't get home till 6ish and kids will be hungry and DH is a really bad cook lol!
I have uploaded the photos to my website under the sub folder of Junies 29 June 07. For those new ones, you just click my username, and select my homepage. Wish I had of taken more of them.
-
Well DH and I had Kailen and Lockie out of wedlock and Wyatt was conceived out of wedlock, we married when I was 5mths pg with him. I also have 3 tattoos and wish to get more, when I have the money.
Dee yep looking forward to Thursday as well, my friend that I went to the BBQ with today told me she had two free tickets for the Baby expo as well, so we decided that we would go as well, so I might bump into you there.
Mel sounds like you've got everything planned for tomorrow, will go and look at the pics after I've finished my post. How many days are you working a week?
IK sorry to hear that Oscar isn't feeling to well after his shots, how long will your sister be here?
Ok off to look at piccys and then make lasagne for dinner.
hugs xoxo

Amanda we will be leaving for HVB on friday and drive to Mackay stay the night then go on to HVB on sat we hope to be there until thurs or friday then drive back again kid and i are really looking forward to going down shame it will be cold we are just hoping there will be a few days of no rain as we are staying at a caravan park in a cabin and it will be very hard to entertain 3 kids in such a small room.
Talk about a child bride I was only 18 and had only just turned 18 but we have been married now for 10 happy year so to all the people who thought we were to young or wouldn't make it ( people were putting bets on ) HAHA.
One of the resons we got married was because at the time it was easier as when in the navy they want prof and lots of it that you a cohabitating before they would give you a house, and as we didn't have any we thought we would just marry as we were going to anyway so why wait. So glad we did as I know now that once you wait you never seem to have the money or the time or the kids get sick and the list goes on. I didn't think anyone cared anymore I guess I was wrong, But I did feel like everyone was looking down on me when I was preg with my first as I was only 20, people on the sydney trains nerver stood up for me, even when I put on over 25kg and had high blood presure and had no feet just big fat things at the end of my legs and couldn't fit my ring on to save myself. I had one old lady same "you did this to yourself so deal with it." so I can kinda get where you are coming from when you say you dont tell people if you are married or not because by the end of my pregnancy I wish I had " I'M MARRIED " tattooed on my head.
well that was a bit of a rant sorry but as you can tell I have never quite gotten over it, and now that I have three people will openly say " you mast have started early "
Ik- What a idiot am I if I had just used my eyes would have seen that we were almost in the same town. I use to go to dandy all the time and have a sunday lunch by the hot fire in winter as its to cold for anything else I do miss it up there with the mist in the morning or all day really but just dont know if could move back as I hate the cold but my husband still think he would like to give it another go in a few years if we dont settle down in HVB as we tried for about 9mth two year ago but we were in mount martha and the wind there is horrid.

Mel: Checked out the piccys :) It all looks too calm ROFL Thanks for putting them up. Oooh how exciting returning to work!!! I'd feel the same way... tad envious actually... I remember clearly returning to work when Verity was about 3yo... oh the serenity! I was a receptionist in a very quiet office... *sigh*
IK: How's Oscar? feeling better?
Just received a package from my sister... stuff strewn everywhere... better put it away and tidy up too.
-
Bath, at work you get serenity and Krispy Kreme doughnuts - I just ate 2 (work bought 5 boxes to celebrate one of the girls' 10th anniversary of working here.....)
My good news - DH passed the first stage of testing to join the Metropolitan Fire Brigade - YAY!!
Only 3 stages to go
-
Mel - great photos! I was uploading some the other night when DP went and turned my puter off...mid-upload, so nothing went on in the end. I had 19 photos, and after spending an eternity choosing and labelling them, I wasn't in the mood yesterday to try again. Maybe later tonight.
Very exciting about returning to work! if you happen to come across my results, ahem, feel free to text me...!
Re: work, just now in the village I met up with a former colleague and it turns out she recently moved to my town. Anyway, she says it's a good move not to go back, so I feel better about that. I'll have to write a resignation letter this week, I guess!
My sister is over for the whole holidays, I'm pretty sure - arriving in about 15 minutes and I don't think my parents will be there on time! Their own fault. I offered to collect her and I would have left ages ago, but they said they would go, too. I said it was overkill and that only one car should go. They insisted that she could come back in my car but that they would be at the airport, too. Talk about carbon-emissions! What a waste of carbon! It's not like she's a relative we haven't seen for years who we all want to greet at the bloody airport, she's my sister who was here in March! So, I let them go and now they're going to be stuck in traffic. They left late. Oh, well, with any luck the flight has been delayed.
eBay man - yeah, too nice to virgin eBay man! My dad couldn't find this extra piece tonight but will look again. He had better find it! Otherwise I've lost money and I'm going to have to write to this guy and tell him how the transaction SHOULD have gone. As you can tell, I am NO business person!
Tali - he he, I'm impressed that you got married before having your babies...that's not what the Twistie trend is LOL! Sorry, couldn't help myself ;) A girl in my mothers group went there and she fell pg at 16 to a fella from St Jo's. They are still together and now have 3 children, with the youngest turning one on Friday. Her mum was a teacher there and taught her sex-ed...but obviously missed the mark with her curriculum! She reckons she's the one who started the teen pregnancy trend there and she's in a good place now, too, and she's saying 'Ha Ha', too!
My SIL had similar experiences, Tali - pregnant at 16 and negative comments flew freely, as if it's going to change anything. And, really, how does it affect someone else's life if you do things a bit sooner than they would have? It doesn't so people should keep their traps firmly shut.
Oscar seems to be better this arvo, so he might be able to come and play with his cousin tonight without infecting her. We are pretty sure it's from the shots, so not sure if that makes him contagious and didn't want to take chances. But if he's getting better, then it should be ok. Plus, my mum is cooking tortillas tonight and DP is partial to them, especially as my sister will be there to act as a buffer between my parents and us.
Sorry, Tali and Rory, you both got married, so you can't be in the Renegade Club ;) But Amanda can, cos her roots are in anarchism!

Hi All!
Im new to BellyBelly so i thought I'd drop a line and say hi! :hello:I have a 1yr old and only know one other friend that has a bub the same age & a friend of mine said all you girls on here are great to talk to, get advice etc. So here i am!
Chloe turned One on june 25th, same day as her dad! She is a really happy little girl and makes motherhood an absolute joy.
Does anyone live aroound the Penrith area?? Also can anyone suggest a good place for swimming lessons for her??
-
OMG I officially have a ONE yr old now too....well since the 24th LOL bit late getting back on here in this post.
We had a whirlwind day especially with a big brother who is almost 3....practically his party really with all the other almost 3 yr olds running around ARGGGGG
It was a Winnie the Pooh theme and we also requested everyone to bring something for a time capsule to be opened on her 18th birthday. it was great the kind of things people came up with.
Time for another baby I think.....haha.....this is no baby anymore, she is officially a big girl and trying so hard to stand and walk now.
Hope everyone is having fun with their one yr olds. God soon they will be TWO!!
-
Tali, Rory it's okay we'll start our own group, lol We don't need them, lol.......We be child brides together, lol.
OMG Mumzy just noticed the BFP Congratulations
Welcome to BB Mandy.
Ik Yay for your sister being here, have fun catching up.
Edit OKay I've reviewed the list of ...ocracy's and isms and I have narrowed it down, Tali does your house own you, lol, do yo own your house. I know rory and I do if you do we can be Timocratics, if we get a few more members we can be Ochlocratics then we just have to get angry, hmm I like the first one better. lol
-
Welcome Mandy! I'm curious - who referred you??? Is she on BB, too? You came to the right place! Happy Birthday to Chloe, and I'm so glad you've also had a great year with her :) This past year has been my favourite.
Mumzy - glad you had a good day!
Just been to see my sister and niece - my niece is so adorable! She's grown into it over the last few months since I saw her last. It's weird to hold a baby who doesn't want to just wriggle off and cause destruction (Mel - Oscar's bottle thing started in his room, where we keep our cases...they are all over the room and I'm forever putting them back...), so I might just make the most of her while she's here and wish Oscar were like her! Oscar was in his bunny suit tonight and he doesn't get more scrumptious than when he's wearing it. I forgot to bring my camera, but I'll get him in it again and take pics - just like Peter Rabbit (without the jacket), cos he's the naughtiest rabbit around. He was climbing onto chairs tonight and using them to climb onto the table. Maybe he'll be a rock climber...
OK, better get this sleeping possum into bed and then follow him in...and hope we don't have a repeat of last night...
ETA: Heaven, you're gonna just have to be the 'marrieds' club, cos we're anarchists who own our home, and I don't think you want to have members with feet in both camps in your club :P Ok, so Mandy is going to question the wisdom of joining us here!
-
LOL IK... Looking forward to seeing bunny suit piccys... reminds me: Niall now knows the "skin-a-rabbit" phrase... remember that classic discussion??? LOL Infact now I simply have to say to Niall: "rabbit" and he raises his arms in the air waiting for me to pull his top over his head. hehe.
Welcome Mandy :) I'm curious too... and yeah we're a lovely lot, kind, helpful and a just a little bit odd at times... well, speaking for myself that is :P
I really better think about hitting the hay... Niall put himself to sleep for THE FIRST TIME in his cot without patting tonight and here I am wasting it! Oh well... no playgroup tomorrow... just another cold indoorsy day... I'll be thinking of you Mel! Hope you find time to fill us in on your day!
nighty nite!
-
Lol, Ik you got me there, damn I knew there would be a flaw in my ultimate plan, mwaahahaaa...oh lol yeah, don't mind our silly shanatagans, we are really quite placid and stable and I don't know the full moon is pulling away and has affected me, lol. It's good to be silly from time to time.
Night girls
Dee

Bath, I most certainly do remember 'skin a rabbit'...I'm teaching it to Oscar! I say "arms up, skin a rabbit" and up go the arms (well, mostly - if he's not too busy wriggling all over the change table...). See? It's not so bad that you are ancient, you imparted something to us, despite the confusion you caused when no-one knew what you were talking about at the time ;)
