Gotta go get Wade from Kinder soon... but Mel: I've just sent through your avatar... I think the pony tail needs to be longer... anyhow let me know what adjustments you would like

Mel: I've just sent a reply to your email. Hope to see your temporary avvy up soon!

Just taking a naughty break from assignment writing...
Melbourne Junies - as of next Monday night, I'm going to be a Tupperware Demonstrator...so if any of you know of anyone who needs or wants a party (provided Nic isn't going to be in Melbourne for some reason, I don't want to cut your lunch!!), let me know! I'm so nervous about this on a few levels - time, travel, networking...argh!
Ok, will do personals later...just thought I'd get in with that...

Hi girls just poking myhead in quickly. Tori is really sick with croup and we were up most of the night with her. She has had a dose of oral steroids but is still quite unwell. I am crossing my fingers that she will recover quickly becase it is not a nice thing for any little baby to go through, I didnt realise quite how distressing to listen to untill she started coughing yesterday afternoon and couldnt catch her breath.
I will be back in soon to let you know how she is going.

Oh Ali! I was just talking to another mum at Kinder today about her little boy's croup... it sounded shocking! *touch wood* my children have never had it. Apparently when they cough they sound like seals? poor little mites Keep an eye on her lips... at the first sign of blueness go straight to the hospital or call an ambo. If her lips are rosey then she's fine. Don't want to worry you though :hugs: but it's like asthma: the oxygen deprivation can creep up slowly. She will be fine if you keep an eye on her, poor darling, it's almost as bad for the parents when they are sick!

Hiya Katnap and Maya I'm surrounded by mess and filth... need a whip here too! LOL

Rory - should be right to catch up next Wed if I get my finger out early enough!!! Glucose test, yuk!!!

Bath - got your email, thanks so much. They were having trouble locating my payment, hopefully they can find it and I can become official!

Kat - I am with bigpond too but need to get a better plan. I might have to stick it out with them until my contract expires next year but I can up my plan to a better one.

Maya - congratulations! You will be a fantastic demonstrator. I will definately let you know if anyone wants a party.

Ali - poor Tori, must be awful having her so sick. Like Bath, both my girls have never had it and I hope they never do. Get well soon Tori.

Just been out in the garden again today, its actually not too bad outside. Marley just loves being outside. She has been going up to the back door and banging on it but when I say no, she chucks a bit tanty!!! We have a toy in the backyard that you fill with water (when there was no restrictions!) and it has boats etc in it. It has some water in it from the rain and Marley decided to play with that, she got so wet and dirty but she had a ball. I just left her wet and dirty and she wandered around the yard following Chelsea. Its so sweet to see them getting along well. She is having a snooze now, I think the outdoors wear her out lol! Chelsea chilling out watching Bindi the Jungle Girl on ABC Kids. Might be my cue to have a cuppa and start dinner.

Good spot, Jess! Kat, so sorry No wonder you feel like crap, honey (I was wondering what you meant by 'it' being over, I assumed there was bad weather in Perth that you were waiting out - my brain is split 6 ways ATM and I would have missed a post elsewhere here about it cos I'm sticking to Junies till I'm done). BB is the best place for you to hang out for support and many shoulders to cry on - but don't forget to get out and feel the air, hear the birds, touch some plants and get in tune with yourself when you're ready

I have to second that on the weather Kat, it is a great day to feel miserable! Sorry to hear about your, loss, make sure you take care of you.

Thanks for all your care and concern guys, I think Tori is on the mend and the steroids have done their job (she vomitted the first lot up, all over herself and me!) because her cough has lost that terrible bark, and she has stopped struggling to catch her breath between coughing fits. I have hired a steam vapouriser to put in her room tonight to see if that makes a difference, because I think last night all up she had about 5 hours sleep (as did DH & I).
I have to say though I have honestly never seen someone get so sick so quickly before or been ite so frightened listening to anyone else cough, but luckily for me the Dr. surgery I go to is brilliant and saw me straight away so that we could get started on some treatment.

DH & I were supposed to be staying in a hotel on Saturday night and Tori was going to have her first sleep over at mum and dad's but I am very reluctant to go, even though it is a fair way off, I would rathe know she was really well before I left her over night for the first time.

    Love your avatar mel

saturday is still a while away ali, see how tori goes. antibiotics do wonders.

just had to go take Annika to the drs, she has really really bad conjunctivitis. So bad that her eyes are bloodshot, and when she cries, the tears are redstained. She has antibiotic drops, and they are working pretty well, thank goodness. Yesterday her eyes were just crusty, and i was washing them like i normally do, with salt water. But just didnt seem to do anything this time! But she's on the mend... I really didnt feel like leaving the house, but DP's at work until 8pm (wont get home till nearly 9) adn she needed to see the dr... luckily we got in. Around here its generally a 3 week wait...

Kat - I didn't notice either, so sorry about your loss. Look after yourself. Having a sick bubba probably doesn't help things either. Hope Annika's eyes clear up soon, poor thing!

Bath - you are so clever, I love the avatar!!! Thank you again for doing such a good job.

Maya - thanks babe, wish I had those boobs and hips LOL!!! Very slinky!!!!

Ali - you must feel so relieved that Tori is getting better. So good that the dr could see you so quickly. See how she is by Saturday before you decide, it would be a shame for you and DH to miss you night away, you deserve it.

Amanda - I find that Marley is much happier when Chelsea is around (even if Chelsea gets annoyed with her "ruining" her games etc), so I can imagine it would be triple the fun at your place!

Better go and get the work day production line going - both kids bags to pack, clothes to be ironed and my bag packed! Catch you all tomorrow.
