Hiya girls - I have been busy all this past weekend at my hypnobirthing classes with Esther. DH and I had a lovely time (as did Flynnie, who spent the weekend with his doting grandparents!) and I am really looking forward to the birth. I dealt with a lot of stuff I didn't know was there and am so much more positive about life. I will try to do a proper post in my pg journal later today because it is such an important part of my pg that I think Little One should know about how I feel.
Only bummer about Flynn spending time with my mum over the weekend was she let him completely wreck his new pair of Tip Toey Joeys!!! I am so mad - they let him wear them while he was scurrying around on the concrete steps and now there is a hole in the toe!! At $40 a pair I kinda hoped he would wear them for WALKING not crawling. Mum said she would buy him a new pair and I think I am going to push for that. Grrr - he has only worn them 4 or 5 times......
-
Just quickly reading, but couldn't help replying!
Rory - the woman has a knack, doesn't she? She did the same with us, well, me - stuff I didn't realise was impeding the full enjoyment of what was to come, and it came out and that's when I truly felt 'zen'! I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad you had an ace time with Esther, it's making me teary :) Good one :applause:
Bugger about those shoes, grrrr! I got some shoes in a bigger size for Oscar the other week - some soft sole toggle style shoes and a pair of bowler shoes...can't wait for them to fit...
gotta shower with the kid now and start our day - might post later for a vent, or the Boo Hoo room...depends on how public I feel like being!
-
Good afternoon girls :) FIL leaving tomorrow... he is outside playing with Wade ATM, he's been great :)
Oh no Rory!!! I meant to warn you about letting them crawl outside with the Tip Toey's or any good pair of shoes for that matter! I only let Niall wear old hand me down outside here for that reason. When they start walking they are a bit easier on shoes... but not much! I agree, let them buy him a new pair :) Also cheapie canvas shoes can be good for outside and they wash up well.
Awww Maya I hope things are ok now... I'll check out the BooHoo room...
Mel: yep, watched about half of both grandfinals... pretty pleased that Melbourne Storm won the NRL too although my Dad will be bitter as he is a Manley fan.
Wade threatening to wake a sleeping Niall...

Hi all, had a quiet day today as I am not feeling the best. I think i have been overdoing it the past few weeks and my body is finally starting to protest. Luckily I am on holidays and have the opportunity to rest.
We have had no hot water since Sat night as our Solahart sprang a leak during the night, got into the roof, leaked through a light socket and all over my dining room table. Luckily I hadnt left my laptop on charge on the table like I usually do as it would almost definatley have gotten water all over it. Because it is a long weekend, cant get anyone out till tomorow to fix it as I am sure the whole tank needs replacing. Sigh no hot shower for me today!
I cant believe my av is still not up :( I hope it wont be long now!
-
Oh Ali! No hot water?! That's the worst! Hope you manage to get it fixed tomorrow! Also I *think* Kat does the avs every second tuesday... but it's been a long time hey? It's the first thing I look for whenever I log on! LOL
-
Oh Ali that sucks about the Solarhart - is there much damage to the plaster?
Good news on the shoes - mum is buying him another pair! She said, don't worry, I'll keep buying him shoes when he needs them - yay!!
Better go - gotta get to bed early tonight to practice my relaxation techniques :)
-
HI Ladies
Ali - bugger about the hot water system - hope it's fixed today so you can have a shower!
Rory - good on mum buying Flynn the new shoes. Glad your hypnobirthing classes went so well - sounds really good.
Bath - sounds like it's been nice to have FIL over but i bet it will be nice to have your place back to your self.
Mel - didn't watch any finals - still don't have a clue what goes off in AFL - need to find an idiots guide to it as it's the main game here in Perth. Used to keep up with the Rugby when we were in Townsville as we used to enjoy watching the cowboys but haven't really watched anything since. Glad you like the 1000 thread count target sheets - we got some last year in a sale there and they are so comfy.
Jess - ouch on the price of going to the show! It's Perth show this w/e as we had a long w/e but have skipped it this year - maybe next.
Had quite a nice weekend and bank holiday although Will has been quite mis with his molar's - he slept most of yesterday and had a temp up to 39.1 at one point. We then had an interesting evening spent at Princess Margaret Children's hospital with Oscar as he slipped in the shower and fell backwards smacking his head into the tiled little wall thingy. James was in the bathroom with him when it happened but didn't see it as he had his back turned putting toothpaste on brushes. I heard osc screaming and james brought him out and said we would have to go to hossy and no i couldn't look (he know's how squemish i am and i would be useless if i saw) so we quickly packed them both up in the car and off we drove. they were very good in there and we didn't have to wait very long at all. The doctor ended up glueing it and poor mite was soooooo brave - he didn't even cry (which i think they were abit amazed at) and hasn't said it is sore today even though it still looks a mess. went to walking group this morning and they didn't mind going to a different playground which didn't have sand in it so we could keep Osc's head clean so it was a nice change.
House looks like a bomb site and i really ought to get of the pute and tidy but just can't be ar$ed right now!
Hope all well with everyone
Julie x
-
Julie - poor Oscar! What a brave little man. We have put those non slip sticker things on the floor of the shower as we've had a few near misses with Chelsea (and me a few times!), the shower is a dangerous place for little legs. Glad he is coping well with it. Prob helps that he can't see the wound too. How do you get a look at Will's molars? I have been trying to check Marleys for ages but can't get my fingers in there to look (without the risk of getting them chomped on!) and even when I lay her down and get her to laugh, I still can't see. Funny, I find Rugby very hard to understand, but AFL is pretty straight forward. I usually only watch grand final and some Friday night games if I have nothing better to do.
Ali - have you got hot water yet????? Cold showers are not fun.
Rory - just read your journal about hypnobirthing class. Sounds like it was just what you needed. I'm really pleased for you as I know you were a bit hesitant about it in the beginning. Are you nice and chilled out today? Good call getting your mum to get Flynn new shoes, thats such a shame the others are ruined. You'll know for next time. We have outside shoes and good shoes (DH always gets them mixed up lol!). Thankfully he's not a girl otherwise your mum could be buying him a new pair every week LOL!!!
Maya - congrats on winning the September photo comp! It was such a gorgeous photo. Do you win a prize? I was up your way yesterday in Kallista, was going to call you but I left there too late and needed to get home. Next time I go up, I will call.
Bath - is it all quiet without FIL today? The weekends footy wasn't that exciting due to them both winning by so much but I noticed that the NRL prematch entertainment was heaps better than the AFL.
My little munchkin has just started to give kisses!!! It melts my heart when she does it and it has taken me ages to get her to do it. And she almost goes crosseyed trying to look into my eyes, very funny! We went to a GF's for lunch yesterday and she has 2 gorgeous golden retriever dogs. Marley loved them and was very gentle patting them. I can't wait to get another dog, hopefully before Christmas. Chelsea loved playing in the sand pit, now DH and I are debating over building one in our backyard. Will my house be covered in sand???
At work today. Had a yummy lunch outside and its so beautiful. Sun shining, breeze blowing. Wish I had of hung my washing out before I left.
Hope everyone is having a great day :)
-
Hiya Mel :) yes my flannel nappies are flapping in the wind! Just about to bring them in actually. FIL left this morning. He had a lovely stay with lots of good chats. Poor fellow worries a lot about us all... and all he wants to do is talk to me about dying and seeing "his girl" again (his wife) who passed away a few years ago. I think he likes to talk about this with me because he says he finds it hard to with most people... i was quite flattered by that. He told me all his funeral plans etc It's all arranged and paid for. He has a weak heart... just quietly i don't think he has much time left on this earth :( DH feels this way too. I guess at least he says he feels ready to go.... that's all anyone could wish for I suppose.
cuppa time...
-
Mel you asked if you will get sand all over the house. YES YES YES you will and in your bed and anywhere they can put it. my kids had a sand pit in the last house we had ( in Darwin ) and we found that when is rained it turned to slop, and then if you dont cover it you have all the neighbourhood cats using it as a toilet. But that said they did love it.
julie - how oscar's head that glue is great! it amazise me how the dont even seem to have a sore head the next day, I know I would.
Bath - how wonderful that you FIL feel like he can talk to you I think when I get to that stage in life I would love to know that there would be someone willing to listen to what I want and need to say even it is about moving on, as alot of people just tell them to stop talking like that.
dont you just love baby kiss's wish you could keep them forever, Kai has been giving kiss for a while now and when she does I always say "love you" so now when she gives me a kiss she will say something ( baby talk ) so I like to believe it "love you", today I went around to a friends house and the whole time I was there kai was eaither crying or giving me kiss's to stop me talking. like I have said before she is a very jelious( sorry cant spell to save my self ) little girl. I think she too maybe getting teeth not that I can get a look in as I am also too scared to get my fingers too close.
Well DH is home tommorrow and as we are still on school holidays DS has got lots of thing he want to do with him. he really does miss his dad alot.:(
one for DH's work mate is going to give him a number for a job that fly in and out of melb when he gets back to work so fingers crossed.

OK, more procrastination on my part!
Julie- wow, what a scare! I admit to feeling ill reading about your Oscar's capers, so you did very well!
Mel - I never even thought about that side effect of sandpits! And thanks, Tali, for the tip about covering it...wouldn't have thought of that, either - DP will be building one for Oscar soon.
Bath - your FIL sounds like a sweetheart :)
Ali - hot water yet?
I never ended up posting in the Boo Hoo room, sorry! I just couldn't be bothered rehashing the issue. It's my mum again. My sister reckons she's close to an apology, I am insisting now that she is to bring it up and ask to speak with DP and I about it. My sis reckons I'm being stubborn, but I'm just asking to hear it from the horse's mouth (my sister is being a conduit, so I only hear it from her that my mum is conciliatory). I've given so much slack for so long, especially after Oscar was born, that it's time she sucked it up, if patching things up with my family means anything to her. If I give her an inch, the ball will be back in her court and I thus give her permission to treat me like crap again. DP is adamant that she instigate this 'talk' she wants to have. I reckon he's right, too - though I hate to admit it, and I'm hating that I have to take this hard line with her. That's the SHORT version! We're still talking, though with the atmosphere of tension, because she will then sabotage conversation with unnecessary and mean jibes (she really lets fly, too!).
Ok, gotta clean a kitchen and get back to an assignment - the boys are in bed and the dogs need kicking out...
-
Bath - it must be so sad when you lose a spouse, esp one you have spent many, many years with. He sounds like a very dignified man and how great that he can talk to you about those things, must be a weight off his mind.
Tali - I think I am coming to terms with having sand in the house!!! I am a bit of a neat freak inside and I will just have to have a dustbuster handy to suck it all up. My GF has a great sand pit with a cover her DH made. Will definately make sure it has a cover - don't want any cat poo in it lol!!! Kai sounds so funny and what a good way to get your attention, keep kissing mum! How nice to have DH back for a while and hope the kids get to do some fun things with him. Good luck to him with the possibility of a new job.
Maya - wish I could give you some words of wisdom but I am definately not the person to be asking mother advice. I have no relationship with my mum and haven't for nearly 10 years (and don't intend to either!), but you sound like you have a plan worked out and you should stick to it. Why do they make things so hard, life is meant to be easy isn't it? I hope you stick to your guns and things work out. How is the course going, are you still enjoying it?
Had to do all my washing tonight and its windy outside, so took my clothes horse out there and hopefully will be dry by the morning. Got food shopping to do tomorrow so don't want to spend my day washing!
Night girls :)
-
Morning All,
Still no hot water I am so over it (I had a vent in the boohoo room), I just want to have a nice hot shower in my own house.
Not been up to much, and I can feel my holidays slipping away and all of my jobs and things to do not getting done. Mum and I are going shopping on Friday to get some mroe stuff so I can get the Nursery and Tori's room finished off.
Tori said her first whole sentence this morning (shame it was 5 am) she said "me up now", we ignored her and she went back to sleep, but both DH and I heard it. So cute.
Anyway Tori is sleeping in YAY, so I am going to going to get on with a few, I will be back later.
-
Sorry I haven't been posting but for the last week I've torn a muscle bed in my elbow playing with Kailen, Cody has been sick and now the computer has crashed 3 times in two days, so I'm on my trusty old slow one.
Julie I hope Oscar's head is better, Lockie had his head glue a few months back and it works well.
Ali sorry to hear about the solarhart, hopefully the retail therapy will help a little.
Hi Bath, Maya, Rory, Mel and Tali.
-
Hi girls :) it's Wade's 4th birthday today and we have been in the city all morning, not long home. We visited Melbourne Aquarium and he kept asking me "Is there glass!?" (about 50 times!) because he was scared of most of the creatures and he was worried the glass was just going to vanish like on Harry Potter and the snake scene. Eventually he relaxed and enjoyed it... luckily we saw the sharks last! After that we went to his beloved Melbourne Central and played with the Thomas tracks and saw the bird clock etc. I secretly managed to buy some Chrissy gifts too. Might go in again on Friday if anyone wants to meet up.
Our neighbours are coming over for afternoon tea and some birthday cake... couldn't afford a big party like we had for him last year but I think he had a memorable day.
I'll get back in after some lunch...
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WADE
sounds like you have had a great day. how funny thinking the glass would vanish, you dont realise how much they take in when watching movies.
Amanda- hope you are feeling better soon must be hard as you use your arms so much I know I would be a big baby
Ali- Cant believe you still have no hot water it would be like living back in the dark age's when do you think you will get it fixed hope the weather warms up so that you dont all get sick having to have cold showers or are you using someone elses
Well DH is home today, so we took the kids bowling for the first time they loved it. DS was really quite good, was even getting better scores than me. not that it was hard as I was hopeless and sadly we even had the bumpers on. DH told me if I got a strike then we could move to melbourne lol he so new that wouldn't happen. Its just a shame that it is so expencive we didnt realised that it would cost that much. but the kids had fun and thats all that matters, even though DD got huge blisters on both her feet and now thinks she cant walk shame it didnt affect her mouth maybe then I would get some peace lol.
anyway better go told DS that we would make his volcano

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WADE!!!! Big hugs and kisses from us. Sounds like a fantastic day and a lovely way to spend a birthday. It wouldn't be a real birthday if he didn't visit Thomas at Melb Central LOL!! Got lunch with a GF on Friday (in Frankston!) so can't join you unfortunately.
ALi - that really sucks still having no hot water. It reminds me of the gas crisis Melb had many years ago, no hot water for weeks. Got any friends who you can use their shower? You need a nice hot shower. Did you go shopping? What did you buy? Tori is so clever, wish my little munchkin would start saying something other than grunting!
Amanda - you poor thing! Things happen in threes, so you bad luck should be up.
Tali - bowling is such fun. MIL plays competition and has taken Chelsea quite a few times and she is pretty good. I am pretty hopeless. Bugger you didn't get your strike. Have fun making the volcano.
Just did my shopping today and my washing did dry outside last night. Doing corned beef for dinner tonight, better go put my vegies on. BBL
-
Happy Birthday Wade!!! - I hope you had a great day doing fun things and visiting some of your favourite places!!!
-
Very busy ATM but i just had to say Welcome back Jaspen!!!!!
-
Happy Birthday Wade- I hope you had a lovely day at the Aquariam.
We have hot water.......................YAY, I had a lovely long (tut tut) hot shower this arvo and then I went and had a nap and I feel like I am in much better spirits this arvo, I do have an ear ache but even that is not enough to dappen my spirit.
Mel- No shopping spree untill Fri, Mum is buying us a cot quilt set for the baby, and I am going to look for some curtain material or curtains to go in there too.
Anyway I had beter go and catch up on some of the jobs I have been putting off with the excuse that there is no hot water LOL, DH is home and he and Tori are outside enjoying the sunshine.
-
Hi Ladies and HAPPY BIRTHDAY WADE
Ali - yay your hot water being back - that first shower must have been fab. enjoy your shopping trip. Bless Tori saying her first sentence, Will says words but nothing sentence like yet.
Bath - sounds like you had a great day - i loved the aquarium in Melbourne it's so good - can understand why Wade might be a bit scared though especially where you walk underneath those big manta rays - eveything looks so close.
Tali - sounds like you had a great time bowling - i enjoy bowling the once in a blue moon i get round to it - when the boys are older i guess, didn't used to be too bad at it when i was at school but last time i went i was useless although i'm hoping that was to do with the number of pints of beer we were drinking at the time (long time ago!!!).
Amanda - i agree the glue is great! The back of Oscar's head now matches the front where he had it glues when he was about 10 months old! Hope your arm gets better quick and bugger about your computer.
Hi to Mel. Maya, Rory Jaspen, Nic and everyone else i have missed, missing (coolaba) Dee's posts where has she gone? hope all's well
Oscar's head seems to be doing fine and he doesn't seem to notice it which is great. We had a nice morning in Kings Park where i met a friend from walking group and her two sprogs who are both a few months younger than my two and they all had a great time together. Coffee and cake isn't cheap anymore now they have a gingerbread man each! (and gutsy William even ate some of the other little boys' as he didn't want it - such a piggy!). They both had a sleep for 2 hours this arvo and i was so tired i joined them! Off to Tomato Lakes tomorrow with my friend who has the Junie triplets and older girl who Osc is good friends with so that should be nice although hard work as keeping an eye on 6 kids between the two of us is damn near impossible!
Off to do abit more surfing then will watch House with a beer! Hope you all have a ncie day tomorrow
Julie x

It could NOT have been that long ago that you were planning Wade's 3rd Birthday, Bath! Happy belated birthday to the young man!
Hi everyone else - can't stick around, I have an overdue assignment weighing on my mind (it's about 6 hours overdue and counting...). Dee is probably diligently getting her assignments done and handed in on time while her DH is around (would he have gone back to work yet? Has it been 6 weeks??)...cos she's a proper student and I never seem to break out of my bad study habits!
Ouchies for Oscar's head, Julie!
Hi Jaspen :)
Mel - how mild was it last night? I loved it! I only know because I was the bunny who took the rubbish out after DP fell asleep putting Oscar to sleep (he hadn't meant to fall asleep...).
I spent this morning playing with Oscar outside and packing my first Tupperware delivery into their respective boxes, then Oscar fell asleep, I got my study stuff together and when MIL came for him, I did a couple more things before taking off for the neighbour's house. Man, I LOVE her study! My sister visited me there and thought it was weird that my neighbours let me into their house (I call it lovingly generous!) before leaving me again (and taking my adorabubble niece...how rude!). By then I was on a caffeine high (I'd had a V drink and she brought over coffee), so I was flying with inspiration about, oh, everything, for a good few hours thereafter. Back home for dinner then brigade meeting. Just got back and need to get back into it. If Oscar was sleeping through, I'd head back over to the neighbour's and pull an all-nighter in her study. But alas, he will wake fully if he wants booby and it's not there. And tomorrow's my sister's last day, so I'm thinking Friday is when this assignment will be in. Oh, well.
Oh, and I have officially paid off my SuperStart Kit for Tupperware...all profits from parties are now my very own! Just as well, cos I've ordered a self-inking stamp (not cheap!) and some clipboards to be more professional (for when I have done my last exam, of course ;) ) Then I'll be back on BB with a vengeance, with proper personals instead of all this 'me, me me' crap.
I also just realised today that my GF is due around my exam time - how will I concentrate??
Night girls! Have a good day at work, Mel. Have a good recovery day, Bath. Happy showering, Ali. Bugger, I can't think of anything else - gotta clean the kitchen!
-
Happy Birthday Wade! (for yesterday)
sorry i havent been in much lately.
just wanted to brag that officially i am full term today! and feeling every bit of it! i look huge, i feel huge i put on neally 2kgs in the last week and holding a heap of fluid atm, my legs are tight and fat and sore you guys know what it's like!

Jules- poor Oscar, glad he is not really bothered by it though!
-
Howdy girls!
Wow Bath, like Maya I was thinking "surely Wade's last birthday wasn't a year ago!!" No wonder he is so "grown up" LOL!!
Gotta run girls - am at work today and my boss is back from leave on monday - and I still haven't finished the lease I promised - eeeek!!
-
I have officially got a client!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Plus am doing a Short notice PASH party tomorrow night for which, because it was short notice, 100% commission!!!!!!!
I am soooo proud of myself
-
Congratulations Jess - well done :) :)
-
Yay Jess! Things are certainly looking up for you! All the effort of hard work paying off :)
Speaking of hard work: did you get your lease done Rory?
-
Hmmm, most of it LOL! I have made all the marked up changes we agreed to - now I just have to redraft about a third of it. And its only about 40 pages long (sigh)!
My next appot at the Mercy is next Wednesday - are you up for a visit? Hopefully Flynn won't be so cranky this time!
-
A very Happy Belated Birthday Wade, so sorry I missed it.
Nic yay on making it to full term, you must be so happy even with all the joyous stuff that comes with it.
Congratulations Jess, you are doing wonderfully now, it must feel good to have you head above water and seeing a great future for yourself and your family.
Maya all I can say is big huge *hugs* for you.
Well it's Lockie's birthday on Sunday and we are having some friends over tomorrow, so I'm making him a racecar cake, so hopefully it will turn out. My elbow is heaps better and only gets sore if I over do things. Found out yesterday that our house is on the market and I have a feeling that it will sell, so might be moving in the near future. Ahh well better get back to making the cakes for tomorrow.
Hello to Mel, Ali and Tali.
hugs xoxo
-
well hello to all
it has been a while - so much so there'd be a few of you who don't know who I am even but I travelled the belly buddy road with a few of the girls and spent a lot more time on here during those days.
Since we got back from our great trip to Canada at Christmas I have been without a computer until recently and way busier than I was when there was only me and DS#1.
it will take me a while to catch up I'm sure but I will certainly be making an attempt to join in again cause I've been doing a lot of reading just not much replying.
I am, however, flat out this weekend so it might be next week before i get really involved.
Nic - I started to reply in your journal the other day but my computer locked and that was it. Congratulations on reaching full term is it now we start encouraging PowPow to make an appearance anytime he likes??? Hey did you give up tupperware completely or just taking a "maternity" break??
Amanda - TTC #5!! All the best with that and I'll be thinking pink vibes for you.
Maya - don't let the study get to you!!!! hope you get your assignment handed in real soon!!
Gotta run - will bbl later for more personals hopefully
Hi to Bath, Rory, Ali, Mel, Julie, Jess and Tali
-
Good morning girls :) Just had a rental inspection but Verity chipped in and we tidied up the house pretty fast and the agent knows we are good tenants so she basically just breezed in, said "wonderful, as usual" and checked all the repairs we have done on the place, said she would get an electrician in to fix some lights and left :) So now i plan to have a nice loooong BB session... and work on my sister's avatar.
Amanda: Oooh a cake! I'm sure it will look wonderful! Don't forget to take a piccy! I was watching Spicks & Specks this week and they were saying that the word "racecar" is a palindrome (spelt the same backwards)... so there you go... some trivia for your older boys!
Rory: you're always welcome, cranky Flynn or not!
Jaspen: Great to see you again... yeah just pick up where you left off... Mel, Tali and Julie (PlonkeeMumma) are new since you were pregnant and they are all lovely girls :) I'll be in and out of here all day...
-
No Jaspen i love doing the tupperware too much i am just taking a break! im actually getting orders together to put through an order this month i can't help myself lol! but glad ive stopped the parties, physically just getting too much for me.
Nixon is sick again..... he screamed the house down last night like he has never done before. neither of us could calm him down he was throwing arms/legs you name it and literally screaming.
at 11, 11.30, 1.30, 2.30 and end up sleeping the rest in ebd with us. DH and i woke thismorning both pushed to either side of the king bed while Nixon was sprwled across ways!
i just want to get him better before bub arrives, he is such hard work at the moment physically. he is trowing tantrums all the time, dropping to the ground when i go to pick him up which makes it very difficult for me, he hasnt eaten properly for 3weeks and lost close to 1kg now.
took him to the docs thismorning and he wants me to bring him back in the morning.
even going to the shops yesterday he cried and carried on the whole time, i know its partially cause he's not well but its just getting very difficult!
Its dh bday today and we were going to go to dinner and SIL mind nixon over night, but thats not happening now, so making him a nice dinner at home. Its called imperial beef and its delicious! gotta go marinate the meat now.
Jaspen how are your boys going anyway?
Jess yay congrats on your first order thats great!!
amanda i look forward to seeing a piccy of Lacuhlans cake! i hope the party goes well.
lots of Oct buddies are having their babies, wondering when will be my turn! ha i'll prob end up with a November baby lol! Nixon was eager to come and he his temprament has always been pretty impatient, so seings this bub is happy to wait i hope his is a calm placid little boy!
i cant wait to see what he looks like and cant imagine that im going to have a big bubby!
there is a link to a guessing comp for those who havent seen, Maya i fixed up your previous guesses LOL!
-
the boys are doing great Nic - thanks. Samuel's walking everywhere (including up the stairs agh!!)and saying a few words - has a temper on him like nothing I've seen in a while and screeches like a banshee. I've always really disliked when babies squeal and screech and now I've been blessed with one of my own LOL!!! serves me right. currently he is just sitting here drinking out of his cup using no hands and being pretty proud of himself. lets just say he's nothing like Benjamin and I'm struggling to make sure Ben consequently isn't always the one in trouble when they fight which they are starting to do alot:rolleyes:
Benjamin is almost 4 now and has grown up so much in the last year. His tolerant nature has meant that he gets treated pretty badly by Samuel who likes to be the boss so I'm trying to work on that at the moment.
-
Nic: I've just entered your guessing competition! What a great idea! LOL I put that you would have PowPow on the 19th just to counterbalance my comment that you would go overdue!
Jaspen: your two boys sound just like mine... starting to fight... usually over food! Niall will just walk up to Wade and steal his sandwich then run away with it! Cheeky little bugger, and feisty too! Very different temperaments. Would love to see some piccys of Samuel :)
-
yeh snatching is my greatest problem too Bath - the first thing I know about the problem is the high pitched squeal combined with "MUMMMMMMM!!!!" Although they are brothers in arms - if Benjamin is sent to sit on his own for a "time out" so to speak Samuel goes straight over and sits down beside him and looks straight at me with a grin on his face as if to say - "I'll stick by him mum - how dare you get cross at him". How come they do some really cute things when you are trying to discipline!!!
Have ten tonne of photos on the camera at the moment (what happens when you have a 1Gb card)I haven't downloaded and have been promising every man and his dog some updates so will try and get to that and get some online at the same time. Remind if you don't see some soon.
added my guess in too Nic - had to go with Benjamins details (and hopefully PowPow has a similar temperement too - ate 4 hrly ,slept all night until he was 18mths, played happily on his own for ages at a time - so not what I was expecting as a first time mum - Samuels making up for it thought LOL!!)

Ali - yay on having a nice long, hot shower (you're allowed to have a long one as you missed a few!!! Hope your shopping trip is fun and you get what you want. Let us know what you got.
Rory - how do you concentrate on 40 pages? Being pregnant my mind turned to mush!!!
Julie - how was the trip to Tomato Lakes (funny name!!) with all the kids?
Maya - it was mild the other night, it was 19 at 6am! Bring on this warmer weather. Well done on paying off your starter kit, thats fantastic! I'm sure you look very professional with your clipboard. Did you hand in your assignment?
Nic - congrats on reaching full term! He'll prob be overdue just to make you wait a bit longer. Did dr say what he thought was wrong with Nixon? Hope he gets better soon and you get your bed to yourself tonight. Your dinner for DH sounds delicious, hope he enjoys it and has a great b'day.
Amanda - you are a wizz at cakes, I bet this one will be fantastic. Bugger about the house, hope you don't have to move out too soon.
Bath - your house is very well looked after, I am suprised they still hassle you for inspections. Can't wait to see your sisters av.
Jaspen - welcome back! Your story was like reading mine. Marley is a screacher too. I'm struggling to make sure Ben consequently isn't always the one in trouble when they fight which they are starting to do alot - exactly my problem! Often it isn't Chelsea doing anything wrong, its just Marley screaming for the sake of it!!! Chelsea is very placid and Marley the rough one, she wacked Chelsea on the head with the remote control earlier this week - I was growling at her but she just stared blankly at me. Is it nice to back? What date was Samuel's b'day?
Was supposed to go to a GF for lunch today but cancelled. I was chatting to my other GF in Brisbane for over 3 hours and this morning I woke up with a very sore throat and thought I might have been getting a cold - its fine now, think it might have been all that talking LOL!!! Chelsea was a bit sniffly too so thought we might have a day at home. Great washing day for us Melb girls, windy but warmish outside.
Time for a cuppa and my naughty sticky cinnamon scroll :)

oh yes Mel - I so understand - Samuel doesn't even stare blankly though he down right laughs the little bugger :) Sam's birthday was 06/06/06 and is well and truly living up to it!!!!!
Cinnamon scroll - yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PML Jaspen - my biggest fear was giving birth on that day!!! I had really awful dreams leading up to that date and everyone kept bugging me about it. I didn't sleep a wink that night freaking out about it and any twinge I would panic!!! Stupid really. Scroll was yummy :)

Jaspen I'm so sorry I forgot to say hello and welcome back in my last post, sounds like the boys are going well. All my boys fight and then are friends in the next breath too.
Nic I notice as I'm nearly at the end of my pregnancies that the boys misbehave more as they know that you can't do to much, so hopefully he will get over his illness and once you have powpow he will be back to some sort of normalisy (sp).
Bath hope your enjoying you leisurly browse thru BB.
hugs xoxo

and to think Mel mine was an elective c/section (was suffering pneumonia and progressivel getting worse) and that was the only day in that week they could fit me in!!!!! :)
No worries Amanda :) Yes I can see my two ganging up on me in the not to distant future - it is so the case of we can fight with each other but don't you dare come down on either of us or we'll stand against you together LOL!!!
