Sounds like everyone had a lovely christmas and the babies got spoilt (like they should!)
Full on 2 days for me, christmas lunch was great although they took a bit long. Marley did pretty well to last the distance. Didn't get home till about 9pm, kids were so tired. Out again today to my dads for boxing day bbq and got home about 10pm. Poor kids, I am so looking forward to having a day at home tomorrow so they can just rest (and me too!). Although I have nearly $300 in vouchers that I would love to spend at the boxing day sales, it will have to wait until the weekend.
Tali - I hope the kids manage to hang out and you enjoy your christmas celebrations with DH home.
Bath - bet your lunch was delicious and what a lovely secret santa gift.
Amanda - bet the boys loved the trampoline. Hope you got to have a relaxing night.
Ali - its great you got home in time for christmas. Glad to hear little Liam is such a good baby and Tori is enjoying being a big sister.
Nic - I have presents strewn around here too! Glad Nixon loved his balloons. Hope you had a tantrum free day today.
Rory - glad to hear Ollie is being such a good boy. I was so annoyed I forgot to tape ER tonight and it looked like a good one. I would probably end up in tears too. Kids are the greatest.
Better think about bed soon, what a hectic but wonderful few days.
-
Hi ladies
Glad you all had lovely Christmases. We enjoyed ours and joined my friend with the Junie triplets for Christmas lunch. It was very hectic but all the bubs were good but the oldies, oscar and isabella (4) were abit of a pain. Oscar really anjoyed opening his presents and we got him to put out a mince pie for santa and a carrott for Rudolph and he was so happy in the morning that most of the pie and carrot had gone. Didn't do much on boxing day as it was soooo hot here - 44.1degrees.
Then we had a truly awful night. At 3.50pm i heard a car loose control and knew it was coming for the house. it took out the structural columns on the veranda and 3 panels of fencing. To say we are gutted is the understatement. We've been in the house 12 days! I wont repeat most of the story here as have done a looong version of it in the punchingbag room. We are so sad that our lovely new home now looks like crap and will do for a while as the tradies are on holidays, but we know how lucky we were to get away with so little damage and us not getting injured or killed - they missed our bedroom (our head end) by less than 2 feet and were going so fast they were airbourne for a good 10 feet or so. ill shut up about it now. sorry for the me post and no personals but not really with it today as obviously we were up from then onwards and didn't get a sleep in the day. off to bed now - nighty night.

-
Oh Julie, thats terrible! I will go and check out the full story. It must have been so scary though and I am so glad to hear you are all OK. I hope it gets fixed up soon for you but I can totally understand how upset you must be.
44+ degrees, that must have been disgusting! Is it any cooler today? I heard on the news there was bushfires, hopefully not anywhere near you.
-
Hi Mel, doing better today thanks
44 was way to hot! thank god for air con! and yep the bush fires were only a few miles away from us - mmmm just out the back of the house where the driver of the car lives! We felt so sorry for the fireys - they started just before dinner on Christmas day then at the same time on boxing day so they would have had no time with their families just because of some horrible people lighting them on purpose.
lots cooler today - very pleasant - i think only around 30 even though 34 was forcast, lots of lovely cool wind though so nice.
love your new picky on your ticker, Marley is looking so grown up!
Julie x
-
Jules... just read your Big Boo Hoo! :o Could you paste your FaceBook link here? (it's allowable). Ta.
-
Julie, I just saw the photos - gosh it was so close to the house. You guys are very lucky (sorry to keep saying that!). Hope the little buggers learnt a very big lesson from it all.
-
Hi all, things here are great, it looks like I have been lucky enough to get a second baby that feeds well and sleeps well (touchwood).
I have finally gotten round to uploading some pics here
-
What huge feet he has, Ali!! I thought Oscar was the only one born a size 8 ;) He's beautiful and you all look radiant!
My keyboard is playing up - DP managed to spill stout over it and he can't remember doing it ( ) It's sticky as all get out.
Might have a visitor soon, not sure, she said she might not if it got too hot...and it's hot! So, I'm cutting up old apples to stew in the microwave (Tupperware stack cooker to the rescue!), whilst practicing my singing via the recording of my singing lessons with DP's cousin...good hot weather activity!
My sister and her family left yesterday :(
Gotta fly again, oscar's up to no good.
-
awww Ali he is gorgeous thanks for sharing te photos! Tori looks so intrigued by Liam in the pics!
i agree Mel Marley looks so grown up in your ticker photo. its a great pic btw!
-
Ali - oh he is so beautiful! What a serene, peaceful face he has. You guys look over the moon. Don't worry, I had 2 excellent sleepers and that still hasn't changed. Tori is looking very smitten with her new brother.
Maya - its a stinker out there! 3 loads of washing has dried so fast, its wonderful! Hope you manage to stay cool. Bit sad that your sister has gone already. How long till your trip?
Nic - thanks, I love it too! Its taken me that long to get a decent photo of the two of them. Marley will not keep still long enough for me to take a picture. whereas Chelsea will happily pose for ages.
Does anyone else have trouble taking pics of their bubs? I have so many photos of Chelsea, but everytime I get the camera out, she's off like a rocket. I've tried putting her in chairs, outside etc but it doesn't work. And as soon as Chelsea gets closer to her, she cracks it.
It is so hot outside and the wind is very hot. Its going to be 41 on NYE, yuk! My GF who came back from Japan rang yesterday to say her DS has chicken pox (he's 13 mths old) and she is so worried that he may have passed it on to Marley and his cousins. Chelsea has already had it so she is ok, but I have to keep an eye out for any spots.
Chelsea is having her 5th bday party next Friday and wants me to make the handbag cake from the Donna Hay kids edition. If anyone has seen it, it looks a bit tricky, but she really wants it. I might have to show her a few easier ones and try to persuade her.
Off to MIL's soon to take the girls for a swim, Marley is asleep so DH might just have to take Chelsea.
Hope everyone is keeping cool today. :)
-
Julie just seen the pics of yor house. omg i see what ou mean about how easily it could have been disasterous.
Mel- i havent seen that cake, do you have time to trial if before next friday to see a. how long it will take to do and b. if it infact doable!
Nixon was always easy to get ncie pic but he is a lot more difficult now. i thinkhave the digitalis agodsend though because i just snap away and then go through and delete all the bad ones.
-
Just to let you all know that Tali should nearly be in Melbourne now. We left her in Albury around 3pm after meeting her at Maccas. The kids had a ball in the covered playground at Maccas and I have a couple of photos of the kids and Tali and Darren.
-
Thanks Jess :)
At least she's getting here today and not tomorrow...what a hot one it's going to be!
Mel - I reckon you'll match the cake pic and better it! Yeah, got some washing done yesterday and just couldn't bring myself to put it out, so today has been the day for that, as well as just reading...for fun...for the first time in ages that hasn't involved the middle of the night!
I'm really savouring these days because soon we will be freezing our arses off and then it's almost straight back to school for me :(
I bought a new summer hat today when I went to the chemist (ran out of the mini-pill...two or three days ago...), where I got Oscar another hat - two of his have gone missing and he's not a hat boy. So, now, DP and I are wearing hats, I have a hemp one in the car and I will be exchanging my Akubra (chrissy present) for one the right size and there will be hats on Mummy and Daddy for all occasions...little bugger!
He did a poo on the table outside last night, which was funny. I got to clean the table and DP got to clean Oscar, who had done a bit of smearing. Today, he pooed on the deck, so I cleaned Oscar and DP did the deck. I think I got off light again, cos it was less poo on his bum than a nappy change...hee hee!
Speaking of poo (charming topic, no?), I've got a temporary and more expensive dog food that is having great results so far - less of it and less smelly. DP is still not convinced, but I think it's the new dog food for us. They need less of it and our money goes to a smaller company that is Australian. I'm a happy camper.
Reading a great book, called The Breastfeeding Cafe by Barbara Behrmann - it's brilliant, and but for some minor cultural differences, could be about BellyBelly members! US women share experiences and the author kind of mediates with her academic and personal background in breastfeeding etc. A great read, whether you BF or not, cos it's about mothering - some women talk about the transition to formula, use of other mothers' milk, challenges, cancer in the middle of pg. Wonderful book.
Anyway, gotta organise dinner!
Did Tali have our phone numbers?
PS Photos with Oscar - touch and go. I can usually get him in an action shot, or about to get up to no good. I choose my moments mostly, and can get some good shots. I get better ones now with the camera on my phone than I did with my camera!
-
Nic - hopefully I can do a practice on this week, luckily it doesn't require too many ingredients and decorations. What would we do without digital cameras. Waste a heap of money on developing crappy photos!!
Jess - thanks for the update. Great that you got to meet and the kids had fun.
Maya - aw, thanks for your vote of confidence :crossfingers: Glad you are getting time to do things for yourself after the hectic few months you've had, and reading is so relaxing esp if its a good one (sounds like your is very interesting). You and your poo stories, I just love them LOL!!!! Who has to clean the next one? Diet plays a huge part in the smelly dog poo, so if you find a good product, stick to it (and even better is Aussie). Marley is not a hat wearer either, stays on for a few minutes then its off. DH and Chelsea always wear them, I don't! Can never find one that I like, but still no excuse - gotta slip, slop, slap!
Not looking forward to the scorcher tomorrow. I am going to a friends house with Chelsea for a party. DH is working and Marley is going to stay at MIL overnight. Chelsea and I will sleep at my GF's, so I can have a few drinks. We are having a ****tail party and I am in charge of the champagne ****tail, which is sparkling white wine and some passionfruit sorbet, sounds delicious. Looking forward to letting my hair down a bit.
What is everyone else up to?
-
Hi girls - quick hello from me.
Guess what - I just realised today is our 13th wedding anniversary LOL!! Off to go and make DH feel guilty for forgetting (cue: evil chuckle!!)
-
PML Rory!!! Happy 13th wedding anniversay. Wonder if DH was waiting to see if you remembered?
You'll have to have a double celebration tomorrow.
-
Rory - happy wedding anniversary!
Ali - gorgeous pickies of Liam - such a sweety
Maya - eeewwww to the poo stories! at least they are outside
Mel - good luck with the cake - sounds tricky but ive seen your previous ones so i know you will make it great. Wow at Chelsea being 5 - what a little lady - how is the hair progressing, i bet if you didn't know you wouldn't be able to tell she'd done a bit of hairdressing herself. Is it going to be hot your way tomorrow the? i thinks its supposed to be 30 here tomorrow but then ramps up to 39 and 40 for Tues and Weds - phew! We are the opposite photowise - we get great ones of Will but very few of oscar, although saying that we've had a few nice ones this week.
we had a lovely day today. We went down to Mandurah for the first time and although it was busy it seemed really nice. We went to this miniture village and had fab chocky cake for morning tea. On the way back from Mandurah we called in to lots of different beaches for a sticky beak and they were all gorgeous. We found a great one by accident yesterday on Warnbro sound, so iddyllic and only a handful of people over a 10ishKm beach! i was mad i hadn't brought my swimming stuff but the kids had a ball in their t-shirts.
we had a little blip tonight when oscar ran off from james when he got him out of the bath before he'd been dried at all and as soon as his wet feet hit the tiles after the rug he fell flat on his face and put his tooth through his lip - ouch! Another big blood episode! I put some frozen peas in a ziplock bag and held it on there for a while and it seemed to do the trick bleeding and swelling wise and put him to bed with some panadol - he is such a plonkeeboy!
Hope you all have a nice day tomorrow, i think we've off to ikea which will probably be hell but we desperately need some storage for the office as we're using it as our junk room and theres no where to put anything!
Julie x
-
ouch Julie- poor oscar. I put my tooth thrue my lip when i was 5yr old. actually my brother did it to me which gave my 5 big fat stictches in my lip!
I love your ticker pic and bubs name beany hehe! I'm thinking a pink bregade for both you and Jaspen atm are u going to find out??
Rory- happy wedding annaversary lol!
dont you just love it when kids make you giggle even when they are not around! Nixon is forever hiding things, he posts his blocks, pegs whatever into all srts of crevases etc, we've worked out most of his hiding spots but still manages to find new ones!
DH & i had a cackle when he was in bed last night and i noticed his wooden (custom made) garage/ work shop he got from Nanny & poppy had some farm animals in it! He must have thought they needed a tune up as they were sitting on the hoist LOL
i hope all the Melbournites stay cool somehow today its going to be a doozy..... i remindes me of 2 NYE ago when it was like 48 degrees and never cooled down. we were pregnant, i had NYE party at my place and the house was like an oven even at 4am in he morning it was 30something degrees.
i hope it cools down tonight for you all.
no plans for us tonight unless something comes up within the next few hours.
-
I remember that night Nic. Gee it all goes fast doesn't it!
My Aunt broke her nose on Saturday night, she was walking up the back alleyway when she tripped on some rubbish that was there and fell flat on her face and knee, she has a black nose and a black knee, we are convincing her to go to the doctors today to get it checked out but she is refusing to go .My aunts are taking the older kids to the NYE celebrations in Euroa tonight, they are all congregating under the town clock and there is a town celebration. Myself, we are taking the three younger kids to the river and watching the fireworks come off John Foord Bridge, it's supposed to be a fantastic night and the night carnival is in town so we might walk through there as well.
Well, I had better get these kids dressed as we have to head around to mum's place to help DH fix his car( not much we can do, but he wants us to go around!)
I forgot to add, we came home yesterday, to find my beautiful bunny rabbit Smokey had died of heat stroke. Stupid me had him in the shade for the past three weeks, but decided to put him down on the ground so he could have some grass, and forgot to put him back up on the entertainment area.I feel so stupid.
See you next year ladies....
-
The countdown will soon begin! Hope everyone is having a good New Years Eve. I'm about to do some final cleaning jobs (have been productive this morning, washing curtains etc) then we are off into the city (Melb central) for a few hours to stay cool. DH had to pop into the office for a few hours too today... we'll all come home on the train (hopefully an aircon one) at about 4pm. If it's too hot we'll go out again.
Anyhow better hop to it. Ali and Rory I'm hoping to work on your avvy updates soon... haven't forgotten you!
-
Ali Liam is oh so cute.
Julie poor Oscar, I hope it heals quickly. Was it Oscar that put his tooth through his lip a while back.
Well we're going over to a friends house later on today, once DH has got home from work. I'll actually get to have a few NY's drinks this year as DH isn't going to drink, so that he can drive home. It's also DH 40th birthday on Saturday and we're having a party here for him, so I've got to make a cake for him and I have no idea what I'm going to be making.
We went for a swim on Saturday, it was wonderful, I haven't been swimming in ages so everyone had a wonderful time, especially the boys.
hugs xoxo
-
Oh Jess :( Same thing happend to my guinea pig years ago - I know how you feel :(
Julie what is it with your boys and their teeth
Bath - looking forward to the avvy :)
DH has almost finished tiling the downstairs bathroom - it looks ace - and over the past few days I have done big cleaning jobs like the upstairs shower, sorting Flynn's toys and so on. We are off to mates in Hurstbridge this arvo and then to Point Cook to our mates who have a pool for the evening - mmmm, water...!
Happy new years girls! I know I haven't been posting much - I have been a bit busy and distracted (!!) but I really love being part of our little group and look forward to spending another year with you all. Big hugs and kisses :)
-
Julie - poor Oscar! Hope his fat lip has gone down today. Hopefully he won't be doing anymore running on the tiles with wet feet. We have tiles too so I know what you mean. Chelsea's hair do is not bad. In this hot weather, I can't really put it up as its still uneven at the sides. I am getting used to it though. Its so hot outside, going to be a very hot and sweaty night. My cousins live in Mandurah, I have heard its very pretty. Well done on the beach find, those found accidentally are usually the best. You'll have to go back next time with your swimmers! Love Ikea, hope you find what you need.
Nic - I thought you were going to say you found them in the bed! I love how their little minds work. Have fun whatever you decide to do.
Jess - sorry to hear abour your bunny. Sounds like you will be having a fun night, I'm sure the kids will love the fireworks.
Bath - you might be staying at Melb Central for a while! Its going to stay hot all night. Keep cool.
Amanda - enjoy having a few drinks tonight. I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job of DH's bday cake.
Rory - what a perfect night to have, by the pool! I feel the same about this wonderful group, very well said.
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. I hope you all have fun tonight, whatever you are doing.
I've made my fruit salad. Did the 70's thing of hollowing out a watermelon. I've put it in the freezer so should keep the fruit nice and cold. I went out this morning to buy my supplies for tonight and it was so hot and that was at 10am. Just ducked out then and its disgusting! I think I might have to skip the makeup tonight, it will probably just slide off LOL!!!
You ladies are all wonderful and I am really glad that I am a part of such a caring group of women. I hope 2008 brings you lots of love, laughter and more babies!
-
Just Popping in to wish everyone a very Happy new year. I hope 2008 brings us lots more adventures to share. Thanks for another year of wonderful support!
-
:confetti:HAPPY NEW YEAR:confetti:
Hope you all had a lovely night. We just sat on the front veranda (looking the other way to the bent pole!!) and had a bottle of bubbles, well DH had most of it but i had a taste.
Wishing all my lovely Junie friends a great 2008 and looking forward to another year of chatting and sharing with my lovely online friends :grouphug:
Julie x
-
Happy New Year to all my junies!
Another year has come and gone and our babies are another year older.
Here's a toast to a new year and to mighty fine friends!
-
Girls, have a wonderful New Years Day!
Just to reiterate what everyone has said, I have felt privileged to have been a part of this group for another year :) It's an environment where we nurture and respect and we can more than just live with a difference of opinion, we welcome it!
-
ditto! You guys have bee such a bit part of m life for the last 2yrs!
Happy New Year to everyone.
we end up going to dh work (works at Mascot near airport)to watch the 9pm fireworks. His office has a balcony around the perimiter and off the boardroom was looking directly at the city! so we turned the telly on, opened the blinds and Nixon got to run around the boradroom nd balcony while we had a drink!
next Nye we might invite a few ppl and make more of a thing about it. was great to hae no crowds easy access to toilet and a fantastic view!
We left not long after it, got home got Nix to bed, fed tyron and then i fell asleep lol!
i had a few wines followed by this lucious slushy pina colada which tipped me over the edge! Dh woke me for the count down and i think i fell back to sleep within a min of the fireworks on tv.
anyway it was still a nice night.
-
We went over to Corowa to watch the fireworks on the bridge.. We got there at 9pm walked around the Christmas Carnival for a while ( saw the prices...don't know how they can charge $4 for a battered Sav!!!!!) then sat down on the grass about 3 metres from the river with the other 500 odd people to await the fireworks. We had music continously, bands and piped music, then the countdown began.. Midnight the fireworks lit up the sky and for 12 minutes everyone was oohing and aaahhhhing! It was a great night, and the fire that erupted after the fireworks finished was a great end to the night.
The only thing that ruined it a bit was the fact that the "teens/20's " crowd were drinking quite a bit and there was no police presence to keep it in check. Apparently there were a couple of brawls but thank god they kept it out of the main area.
The fire was a result of the fireworks but the fireys were on the scene anyway and it took them a couple of minutes to run across the 116 year old bridge.
-
Sounds like everyone had a fun night. And what a hot one in Melb, it was still 28 at 6am.
Well I had a rather big night! ****tail party was fantastic and I had way too much to drink, something I haven't done in many, many years. I am a very happy drunk and thankfully don't suffer hangovers. But I don't do well with no sleep. Got to bed at about 6.30am and was up at 8.30am! Not good. Chelsea had such a fun night, she didn't go to bed until 1am, she was dancing with some of the other kids and just didn't want to go to bed. Finally she decided it was time and just crashed even though the music was a bit loud. We danced, jumped on the trampoline (not such a good idea after drinking a few!!!), chatted, laughed. I had a ball. DH thankfully finished work on time and made it by 11pm. Very, very tired today though. Marley was excellent for MIL, slept through fireworks a few doors down and barking dogs.
Made the most delicious ****tail last night that you all have to try - passionfruit sorbet (store bought and you can use really any flavour) and sparkling white wine. Whizz it up in a blender with some ice and it tasted just like Passiona! Far to easy to drink on a hot night.
I am looking forward to a nice, long sleep tonight.
Hope everyone enjoyed the first day of 2008! :)
-
Ali: Just finished your avvy update and checked out your piccys of little Liam... I just love the one of you gazing into his face what looks like moments after his birth :) Such a universal experience that I remember sharing with my newborns... captured beautifully.... you look so blissed out. Ok... back to the drawing board... Rory's next!
ETA: Oh what a night Mel! Gotta do us a ****tail demo! sounds delish!
ETA: Rory, your avvy has been completed and sent off to AstroLady as well! Anyone else need an update before I work on mine? Julie: Do you want a preggy belly soon?
-
Ooooh!!! can't wait for the avvy Bath :) Hmmm - preggy belly might need to wait til August this year ;)
Our NYE was nice - we visited friends in Hurstbridge for dinner then drove to our mates in Point Cook for a midnight swim and a bit of "Sing Star" - finally a computer game that I am good at LOL!!
We drove home about 1.30am and Flynnie moaned from 2-4am. I tried sleeping with him downstairs from 3-4am but he started talking to me and making "woof" sounds (??) But all was not lost - we all slept in and DH let me sleep from 3pm to 5.30 on new years day which was lovely.
Anyone have any NY's resolutions? I normally don't do them but the new year conveniently coincides with my 6 week mark post-partum so I am using it as an opportunity to get fit. I now weigh 92.2kg - the same I was when full term with Flynn!! Given my mum was 136kg at five foot two and it took her gastric banding surgery to lose weight (she is currently 90kg - WTG Mum!) I think I am being reasonable when I feel now is the time to get down to business with regards to fitness!
-
Supposed to hit 39 here today so another hot one and not an end in sight anytime soon.Enjoy your cooler weather ladies!
-
I miss the hot weather - am I the only one??
NYD was a HUGE improvement on NYE (I posted in Boo Hoo Room) and I spent the best part of the day with my parents (yes! a good day with my parents!) at their house, either by or in their pool, or resting on the deck, in the hammock in the shade. The pool is unheated, so only really ever comes into its own on days over 35 degrees, otherwise you jump in, splash for a minute or two and get out, repeating every half hour or so, depending on how hot it is. The last few days we've been able to jump in and stay in for an hour - pretty much what you get out of a 'normal' pool. So, that was my day. Oscar is finally 'getting' cold water and actually had fun by the end of it, practicing his water skills because he was relaxed enough. He was so funny, sitting on the edge of the pool, next to my dad, feet in water, sharing lunch and pointing to my dad's nipples hopefully!
I'm savouring these times because not only will there be no parents' pool next summer or ever again, or house on side of the hill that remains relatively cool even in 40 degrees, but I won't be able to just visit them with Oscar at a whim after this year - it will be a decision that involves a 3 hour drive.
So, now that we are getting along (despite my dad coming off meds...eek!), it would just be the way that soon they will be far away. Some would say that maybe that's why we are getting along, but I don't think so - I think we're just starting to fall into a rhythm of 'parents and daughter who is now a mother', and we are relating in a changed way. My mum now regularly comments that she admires and respects me for my 'patience with Oscar' and that Oscar is lucky to have me as a mum, because I deal well with his personality. That may seem a strange thing to say to most people, and many people say kids choose their parents - my mum didn't deal well with me at all and says now that I wasn't 'bad' I was just active like Oscar is, and she wishes she knew that then. So, I dont' think it's the move that had improved the relationship, it's Oscar becoming a little boy who is free to be active and is gently dealt with when he gets a bit too carried away with himself. I'm just musing now.
-
i too dont usually make new years resolutions but im hitting the weight loss band wagon also.
i started WW yesterday, i did it 2yrs ago so have all the points guides books recipes etc but will start to go to meetings and weigh ins this week. I want to loose 10kg and there was no time like the present to start!
last yr in our april buddies we had a bunch off us wanting to loose weight so did a biggest looser club we would email out weight loss each week and just encourage each other on! it was great until i had to stop when i fell pg again.
hope you guys can find a way to stay cool today Jess.
Mel OMG you machine!! i dunno how i would have pulled up with 2hrs sleep lol!
-
Good morning Girls, still no time for significant personals but I just had to say OMG Rory! TTC in August! :o Did I read right? No one has picked up on it... but how exciting!!! You're so fortunate that your body does pregnancy and birth "well". I could handle more children but my poor old bod just wouldn't be up to it especially with my Hyperthyroidism. Speaking of which I would love to love the heat... but it's making me quite ill unfortunately :( Yesterday morning, after very little sleep, I basically couldn't shift myself off the bed... shortness of breath, feeling like I was over heating, taking my temp every half hour but it didn't get over 37.3 weird... felt like I was in a fever. But as soon as the cool change hit at about 3pm I was right! Got up, went outside, breathed deeply and logged onto BB! Hehe. Your pool time sounded lovely Maya... especially the COOL water aspect of it! :) How funny pointing at your dad's nipples (we call male nipples "Willisons" <-- a word from DH's childhood) Niall points at my boobies hopefully and I point at his Willisons hopefully LOL bit of a game we have. He just doesn't seem to associate his with "da" (drink). Kids want sustenance... better go...
-
Jess 39 degrees sucks!! And yes Maya you are the only freak who likes hot weather ;) I object to sweating LOL!
Nickers I am doing WW too - but I bought the books on Ebay and a mate is a Leader. The BF program rocks - I get 31 points a day!
Bath - yes you did read right ;) Oliver will be 9 months old in late August so if we are going to have another 18 month gap that is our TTC time. I am very lucky indeed to be a good breeder - I have many GFs who have suffered long term or permanent probs due to pg :(
Better go - little boy is grunting......
-
I cant wait to see the Avvy Bath- Thanks so much for doing it for me.
We had a very quiet NYE, I didnt quite have the energy to go anywhere so just went to bed.
Things here are very peaceful and relaxed with Liam settling into life in the Smith household really well, and Tori taking it all in her stride like the little trooper she is- I am so proud of how well she has adjusted to having Liam at home, and how besotted with him she seems to be. I have also been so lucky so far with Liam sleeping REALLY well for such a newborn, I am only having to get up to him once in the night and then again between 5-6 in the morning.
I have decided that shoulder slings are a really great invention, Liam settles really well in it and it allows me to do things, because I hav quickly discovered that life with 2 is much different than life with one and there is just not as much time to sit on the couch and cuddle.
I am also jumping on the weight loss band wagon, I am really pleased because I already weight less than I do when I got pg with Liam, so I am hoping to use that to keep me inspired to keep going. Once I have had my 6 week check up I am going to join the gym and start to see my dietician again, my aim is to have lost at least 20kgs by Christmas next year.
Anyway I had better go and be productive while Liam is asleep and Tori is busy with her afternoon snack.
-

Well, its down to 31 deg now and I'm really starting to hate being hot! We ended up spending a lot of time inside today although we did venture out a couple of times to mums and over to Corowa. Pat is still chewing on my boobies although I'm trying to wean him off...any tips guys?????
Jack is off to Yarrawonga tomorrow with the church, its the Altar Servers Picnic, he'll love it hopefully, but apparently they are going swimming and he hates getting wet.
My little baby rabbit is doing well, Dad made some sawdust so she has a beautiful bed of soft sawdust that she loves, she isn't as friendly as my other baby was, but I'm working on it. I'm bringing her out so she gets comfortable in my arms and also introducing her a lot to Bangers who she adores...I think it's because he looks like her mum.
I'm up loading some new pics in my gallery soon so if you want to check them out feel free.
