Rory congrats at your 200th post, and how do I cope with my boys, lol, take the ups with the downs and adapt to everyone's differences, lol.
Well AF turned up for me today, but on the upside DH had arranged for my hair to be done today (part of my chrissy present) and I must say I love my new hair and I will have to try and post my new do in the gallery. DH was great with the boys he dropped my at the hairdresser and took the boys to the park and then got them luch it was wonderful. I also have gotten my boobs fitted and I'm now a 18D and I was 18E, so I've gone down 2 sizes in about 6 weeks, now just to lose some around my belly.
Better go watch Bourne Ultimatium.
hugs xoxo
Hi girls - meet up with Tali and Maya was wonderful. It was so nice to meet Tali and her beautiful family, kids are gorgeous and so is she! Kids had an absolute ball chasing each other.
Maya - did you get some good pics? Send me some if you don't mind. I totally forgot to bring my camera. Hope you had fun with your guests today.
Julie - oh you poor love, m/s must suck big time! Hope it eases off soon.
Jaspen - oh you poor love too! Sorry but had to laugh at eating things that taste better coming up! Tali and her family have been loving the Melb weather although they found it a bit colder last night.
Nic - good luck with juggling the parties, but like you said, nothing better than being chucked in the deep end! Tyron is very clever rolling.
Rory - totally understand, petrol is ridiculous ATM. Missed you though and hopefully I get to have a big cuddle of Oliver soon.
Amanda - sorry to hear AF arrived. But how nice getting your hair done, that would have been a nice treat. DH sounds like he did a great job with the boys. Can't wait to see the new do! Good job on the breast reduction and it didn't cost you cent LOL!
Had my GF over for dinner tonight which was great. Perfect night for a bbq. Marley is now trying to join in the big kids play which is very funny to watch. Chelsea is not overly keen to let her join in but she keeps trying. I hope as she gets older Chelsea will let Marley play with her and her friends. Got heaps of trash mags to read, so best be off!
amanda- how lovely of your dh! would love to see a pic of your new hair do! bummer about AF though grrrr she is a meany!
glad you guys had a great catch up with Tali!
Nixon had a big day with dh yesterday. i did scrapbooking half day at mums and had Ty with me and then i did a tup party while mum minded him. DH took nix to swimming in the morning, then his mums, then in the arvo a friends place for a bbq! it was good for both of us to have some one on one time with our boys.
rory- IF (and its a big IF) have a 3rd and it was another boy i would not be trying for number 4. actually either way i think 3 will complete our family.
i came down to put the clothes on the line and fill the pool up for Nix, went back upstairs and he had found some toilet rolls and ripped them up all over the house! then found his blankie and dummy and went to sleep on the floor lol! leaving him there cause its much cooler in the loungeroom then his bedroom.
Girls I gotta say I love being part of our group - I love reading your posts :)
I am getting a bit emotional about re-starting work - I was talking to a friend and saying how I was worried that expressing might compromised my supply and she said even if I give him a bit of formula it won't make me a bad mum. I almost burst into tears. I am being defeatist because I haven't even STARTED work or expressing yet so worrying about supply is dumb. I guess the experience of finishing BF Flynn is still fresh in my mind, but even that is silly because I stopped BF Flynn when I got pg with Oliver so there were other reasons for the supply drop.
Other than that everything is fine - Ollie is a little marvel and Flynn is wetting the bed everynight.....BECAUSE HE PUTS HIS HANDS DOWN HIS NAPPY while he sleeps!!! Little doofus! We are going to hunt down some "all in one suits" to fix his little red wagon :)
typical boy there Flynnie!! LOL
Rory it is a great group isnt it! think now we've been chatting to each other for over 2 yrs! imagine if we were to look back at how many pages we have all sat here and typed to one another! not only that a lot of us have meet up, continue to meet up its great. Bummed that not many from here are in Syd or still chat on here i know CC was from Syd, Karen... wonder how they are going. hey i wonder how misskel is doing? last time she posts her and dh had split and she had DD and the twins on her own.
Try not to stress about your supply before you even start expressing cause you know that alone might have some impact on your supply. You will do what you can i know to give Ollie the best of both worlds, one day i hope Tyron realises the great lengths i have gone for him so he can have the best start in life. (yep still expressing my baby is 3months old today!)
i was up to Nixon last night too he woke up crying and couldnt re settle, took me over 10min to realise the reason, he had pooed in his sleep (unlike him & i couldnt smell it) and it had burnt him.
got out the big guns cream and caked it on his little red toosh, thismorning it is much better.
Rory lol at Flynn with his hand down his pants, Wyatt still does it, he was the same would fall asleep with his hand right down the front sometimes both, lol. Now he's in jocks, omg, he never leaves it alone, he's the only one that has played with it as much, hehe.
Not much going on here, will put my hair do pics up later and you can have a look at my goofy looking face. I still can't believe it's been over 2yrs since we've all started on this journey together, I think it's great that we've overcome alot together.
hugs xoxo
Hey All- things are still going really well here, both kids are starting to settle into life with at home with siblings.
Tori has learnt the cutest thing, whenever someone sneezes she says 'bless you'........so so cute.
Rory- Good luck with the expressing, if anything it should increase your supply shouldnt it? I have been expressing everyday because I have a crazy supply of milk, i managed to express 200ml of milk in one go today, so I am getting a good supply in the freezer.
Nic- Tori has done a poo in her sleep before, but it didnt wake her up to the next morning, and OMG did she have bad nappy rash, poor little thing she cried every time she did a wee that day because it stung her bottom.
Other than that not much is going on here, just getting used to be at home again and getting into a groove, I am looking forward to playgroup starting up and getting back into swimming lessons and things.
I hope everyone is well.
Pics are in the gallery now if you want to have a look.
hugs xoxo
I love this group too! As I newcomer (I've only been on since Oct 06), I felt so welcome very early on, hence why I am still here now. I think Bath said once that we will hopefully all be chatting when we are old and grey!
Nic - its so nice to spend some "one on one" time with each child and I bet DH enjoyed his day out with Nixon. I still haven't done my scrapbooking yet, its my thing to do this year. I have so many photos I just want to get into it. Hope Nixon has a much softer bum today.
Rory - don't stress! Take it one day at a time and see what happens. I bet it will go beautifully and you will look back and wonder why you stressed about it. Fancy a boy having his hands down his pants LOL!!!
Amanda - you sexy mumma!!!! Love the new do, you need to put a before and after photo. What was your hair like before? Looks great.
Ali - Bless you! How cute. 200ml in one day is fantastic, you should build up a nice little supply if you keep that up. Great to hear that your new life is falling into place, it doesn't take long but its so nice when it does.
Was out on Sunday to a GF place and had dinner, followed by a nice hot spa which was the best. Kids had a ripper of a time, chasing each other. Where to they get their energy from? Had lunch at a another GF's today and it was such a beautiful day. Kids played in the little pool, Marley really loved it then stayed nudie for most of the afternoon. My GF has a golden retriever who is so gentle and Marley just loves him. He followed her around everywhere, stopping when she stopped, sitting when she did. It was so cute to watch. A real lovely family pet. Both girls were so stuffed from a busy weekend they bothed crashed at 6.30pm!
Its my big girls bday tomorrow so I have made a cake for tomorrow night as IL's are coming and got her an ice-cream cake for creche tomorrow. I can't believe she is 5 already.
I too am blessed that I have you ladies as my internet friends.
I was just telling Dh about our "junie" boys with their hands down their nappies etc...DH laughed and said, 'well at least your boys wear their nappies.' Pat has figured out on how to take his nappy off now, and every morning before I get out of bed, he has taken his nappy and he stands at the side of our bed pulling at "it".
Amanda love your new hair do! the colour really suits you too.
Mel- ohhh what i woudlnt give for a spa right now!! kids seem to get extra energy bursts when they play with other kids don't they! even if they are tired they usually come alive again!
yum i love ice cream cake! but no thanks i better not i am on WW hehe!! i meant to tell you i lost 1.4kg in my first week whoo hoo!! 10 more kg's to go.
I am just stalking Bath, so I hope she see this, I tried to send you a PM but it said you were full. I hope you are feeling well.
Good afternoon girlies! :) Managed a peep in here while I was away as rosehannah is just as addicted as I am! It's taken me a while to catch up in all the reading I needed to do here in BB but I think I'm up to date now! Congrats Rory on your 2000th post and I agree with your comments about how valued all you Junies are! Yep, hopefully old and grey Mel LOL Good to hear some of you managed a meetup (tali, Mel, Maya) looking forward to anothery too! Maybe we could catch up with Rory in at Melb central one lunch hour? Don't stress too much about losing your BF supply matey! I was away nearly a week and am back to BFing even though i shouldn't be because I told my doctor I would wean but I can't. I got a bit full after the second day away but hand expressed out enough to be comfortable. Did that about twice a day in the showers I had and in bed into a thick towel. I was very worried I was going to get mastitis but didn't. If I get any kind of infection it could tip me into a thyroid storm (see thread in general health section) so I have to be very careful. Didn't get any cross-stitch done :( Because it was too hot and my palms were sticky with sweat (another symptom of my condition)... but one day! Good work Nickers on your weightloss! I've the opposite problem. Nearly down to 60kg (i am 169cm tall) and my sis's scales say my BMI is 21. Never been that low... it would be ok if it wasn't muscle mass that I'm losing at an alarming rate. Still i think I'll get over it eventually and probably pile it all back on. Hope you're keeping cool Jess, it's getting hot today, but maybe it's just me... not looking forward to Friday (apparently the hottest day of the week for Vic this week). Niall isn't overly aware of his "business" (penis) but Wade occasionally holds his at night too but thankfully he doesn't wake up screaming in pain when he needs to wee... cortisone fixed all that :) I hope those who have been feeling nauseous are feeling better. I sympathise as it doesn't take much to make me feel queasy either. It's one of the reasons I'm refusing anti-thyroid tablets, the frequency of nausea... for about 6 months too :( Ugh! Just imagine it, with 3 kids to look after! Hopefully my natural therapies will work.... i'm also thinking of having accupuncture (never had it done before... has anyone else? for anything?).
Sorry to those I've missed... will get back in here soon.... boys need feeding/saving from danger/need to check dinner in oven...
Sis! :) hahaha yep, my inbox got full again when I was away. I'm having a hard time keeping it clear these days... try again... sorry!
Good to see you back hun.
Its hot here again but not as hot as it has been.Apparently Rutherglen has been on the news as having the hottest days lately, but I haven't been watching it lately.
I just want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DARLING SON TIMOTHY ON HIS 7TH BIRTHDAY!
Kids are finally coming home ffrom their holidays on Thursday...they should have been home last week ,but I haven't had a car and no-one would let me borrow one for a couple of hours.
Happy 7th birthday Master Tim!! what did he get for his bday?
welcome back Bath!!
I don't know hun....He's not here! This is the first birthday he has had away from me!!! I am missing him so much today!
I have got a VR Tennis game ordered through Catch of the Day for him, so it should be here before Thursday.Mum still doesn't know what to get him so she is taking him shopping on the weekend.
Here's an interesting bit of information mum and I found out yesterday. For the past couple of months Mum has been suffering from hot flushes etc.... so she finally went to a Gyno yesterday and found out that she is going through menopause...AGAIN!!!!!!!! 7 years ago, mum went through the dreaded menopause and they put her on the HRT program. Well she "didn't finish" going through menopause and now she is going through it again...Has anyone else heard about this happening?
Jess that is rough for your mum - I've never heard of that happening. Hey just a thought - do you reckon by the time our generation go thru menopause there will be forums like this one for us to chat on LOL!! I figure menopause is really just an extension of what we are doing now - having and rearing babies! Thankfully it is a while off for me - my mum's mum was still getting her period when she was 60 (can you BELIEVE that!) and mum only went through menopause (or started, anyway) when she was mid-50s.
Oh Jess I will be up your way today - Ollie and I are going with two friends to the SPC factory! But we can't stop - the other two are working on a deadline to get back to Melbourne. I can't believe that finally I will be heading your way and then don't get to catch up!!
Bath I have had acupuncture for my back years ago and it is great - doesn't hurt at all. I am soooo keen on a Melb Central meet up - I am free any day next week cept Thursday.
Nickers that is great on the weight loss - I have lost around 3kg since Christmas but I think I have started resting on my laurels and stalled. Better ramp up the food watching this week.
Oh Mel, reading about your visit to your GF is like hearing about another world - I had forgotten how having a newbie ties you down! Not that I am complaining but you know what I mean.
Ali I read in our December thread that you had a tiring day - it is so much harder with more than one huh? :(
And Amanda it is great to finally see your face :)
Better go - washing to hang out before heading off - friends are picking Ollie and me up at 8am for our big drive to Shep....
Bath - welcome back, so great to have you back and I hope the week away was relaxing (even if you didn't get to do your cross stitching). Don't know of anyone having acupuncture, but I am sure some other BB girls will know more.
Nic - well done on the weight loss. Isn't is hard to budge the first few kilos and the last few? Keep up the great work (and maybe low fat icecream LOL!!)
Jess - Timothy and Chelsea share the same birthday. Chelsea was 5 yesterday. I hope Timothy had a lovely birthday. How awful having to go through menopause again, isn't it bad enough the first time!
Rory - love the SPC factory, hope you come home laden with tins! I haven't been in years but its always a good trip. We nearly couldn't fit all our purchases in the car. I totally get what you mean about having a newbie and not getting out.
Chelsea had a wonderful birthday yesterday. We had IL's for coffee and cake after dinner and she got some great presents. BIL bought her a world globe which she loves, she's been asking about all the countries today (better start checking my geography). Marley did her first orientation at creche today and had a ball. She sat with the other kids (at the big table!) and ate her mtea and lunch. Played outside on the swings and played musical instruments. I will do a few more before she starts and next week I will leave her for a few hours without me there. I think she will have a fabulous time. Finally getting all of Chelsea's school stuff ready, still need socks and lunch box. Only 2 weeks today till she starts school!
Hiya Mel :) Thanks matey, yep no more relaxing now... am well and truly back into the swing of things... boys running rings around me again! It sounds like Marley had a great time at orientation today... how cute joining in with all the kids! Niall is able to sit at the little tables they have at PlayGroup now, so i can just imagine her sitting up there having her morning tea :D I can't resist recommending Red Robin school socks for Chelsea LOL of all the ones Verity used to wear at that age they stayed nice the longest. Now she has to wear a particular brand, but Red Robin is still my fave. Also, I'm heading into Melb. Central again this Friday if anyone wants to join me for a cuppa at Borders. I need to visit the Swatch shop there too for my uncle to replace a watch band (too hard to do in the country) but it's going to be a hot one in Melbourne so the air conned shops will be a relief for me too. Rory? Maya?
Today Niall started calling Wade "Way". Previously he said "ay ay". How are all the other Junie babies going with their sibling's names? It's all a bit cute isn't it! LOL Something that is NOT cute is how Niall now says "why?" when we tell him that he can't do or have something! He has learnt that from Wade apparently! DH warned me soon after I arrived home on the weekend. Cheeky little monkey!
Oh and happy belated birthday Tim! :happybirthday: I hope your Tennis game has arrived or is delivered tomorrow!
Bath - they look like such big kids when they sit at the table! Thanks for the recommendation re the socks, will go hunting for them. Where did you get them from? Would love to join you Friday but have heaps of running around to do before DH goes back to work. Hopefully next time.
Marley tries very hard to say Chelsea but it comes out in sounds not words IYKWIM? You get "why" with Niall and I get "what" with Marley, everything she sees she points at and says "what". They are funny.
Pat says "Izzie,Bell,Mummy,Daddy,BangBang,Ack, Ate, Immy,Dee(my mum),Das(my dad)
Socks: I think Myer used to stock them but that was a few years ago now. I use to buy them from a shoe shop in Chadstone that sold both shoes and socks but you won't want to go there just for them. I don't know where else to recommend... DJ's would probably stock them but once again, out of your way. Let me know if you find some!
Amanda: off to check out your piccies now!
ETA: LOL Jess! who is BangBang?
ETA: Amanda: great hair cut! (I left a comment in your gallery) Looking forward to adjusting your avvy!!!
Thanks Bath, I was at Chaddy on Friday last week and I do get over there a bit and I know which shoe shop you mean. DJ's is at Glen Waverley so only 10 mins away. Will check out Myer too and let you know if I find any.
Hi girls! Happy Birthday to Chelsea and Tim :)
It's late, I'm just dashing in and out - sorry! I won't be travelling into town until I get back, chickies - there's too much to do around here before we go and leave this pig-stye to our house-sitting friend. Not to mention the clothes we need to wash so that we can pack them!
DP is still out after a house fire nearby. I got there at the tail end of proceedings, got back to the station to get some hose ready and went to get Oscar from my parents'. I be's very tired now...can't even look forward to sleeping on the plane...unless the Polaramine works, hee hee!!
Will be online from time to time whilst OS, so I'll hopefully check in then, if I can't in the interim.
take care all!
Amanda- Great hair do, I have shorter hair too, I find it much more manageable.
Maya- Enjoy your trip overseas, excuse my baby head but where are you going again is it Ireland?
Bath- Tori calls Liam Lilam, so cute, she loves to use names, the funniest thing is she calls Pete's dad Bwuce (his name is bruce and doesnt want to be called Pop or anything) is sounds so funny.
Rory- It is so much harder with more than one, although having said that I am coping alot better than I thought I would, and I am dealing with my tiredness better, I think simply because you just have to get on with it, there isnt a chance to just pop off for a nap unless both babies are sleeping at the same time.
Mel- It sounds like Marley will have a ball at Creche, I am going to start Tori at Playgroup this year, I am looking forward to it as much for me as for her. She is such a social creature and I think the hardest thing for her since I have had Liam is we ave hardly been out for her to play with other kids.
Well we are in for a scorcher in Perth today so I am not going anywhere. Not to mention Tori has been awake since 4am (teething AGAIN, I think this is the last one for a while:pray:), and Liam has been up since 5, but just gone back down again, so hopefully we will all get a decent nap today.
Hiya all quick one for now - can't make Friday but am happy to do any day next week cept thursday 24th
BBL

Jess - happy bielated birthday Tim
Maya - when do you go? have a great time! is the polaramine for Oscar or you??? hehehe
sorry for forgetting everyone else - memory like a sieve at teh mo.
Just had the insurance ring up and they have had all the quotes now and are instructing one of the companies today so hopefully it wont be too long before we get the house fixed - yay!
We told James' mum that we were expectign again as she was questioning why we wre so tired etc and all she said was 'are you trying to keep up with Helen?" (james' sister who is expecting #3 April) - grrrrrrrr i was so mad, we'd been trying for nearly a year and Helen had said no to us abot a third, no congratulations or anything grrrrr. Ill shut up now about them otherwise i would go on for days.
Anyway, better go get dressed - dont want my visitors turning up while im still in my jammies!
take care
Julie x
Time for a new thread found HERE ladies :D
