Ali glad all is well with you ;)
Nickers they say you can stay on the BF amount of points till you start solids at 6 months, so I guess expressing twice a day would be like feeding a 5 month old? There is a thread on BF and WW which I started and Jodie has the WW quiz which works out your points which she offered to PM me - maybe you could PM her for it? I googled it a while ago.
Jess - I like the dog and belly pic LOL!
Just added a family pic to my gallery - Ollie is 1 day old in it - gotta upload some newer ones soon!
-
Rory - lovely pickie of the four of you and yay on ttc in August - the 18 months gap is great i think - we tried for that again this time but it wasn't to be, this one will be 26 months.
Mel - you party animal you - way to go! I am very envious, i wold love a ****tail party - though might have to wait a while now! Hope you've caught up on your sleep.
Maya - sorry to hear you NYE was abit of a disaster - what a rude woman!
good look with ww to Ali, Rory and nic!
was 37 here yesterday and due to be 40 today and of course one the Synergies gas generators has had a fire so they dont think they are going to cope with demand today and are asking everyone not to use their aircon. well im sorry but im using mine and i think they should be realistic and focus on other things more and suggest people dont use their washers/ dryers / other high energy consuming things today because im pretty sure no one that has aircon is not going to use it today... unless youve got a pool to lie in instead! (which we haven't - only a giant sandpit that wil one day become a garden!)
have a nice, cooler day ladies

Hi girls, have finally caught up on sleep and back in the land of the living!
Rory - Sing Star is the best! Its such good fun and something everyone can join in. Maybe we should organise a Junies Sing Star comp? WTG DH for letting you have a snooze on NYD, my DH was the greedy one that got to have a 4+hour sleep!! Love the family photo, although it was a bit hard to get a good look at Oliver.
Bath - I was thinking of you in the heat, you poor love! Glad to hear you are feeling better with the cooler weather. Not looking good the next few days, more hot ones to come.
Maya - I don't mind the hot weather if I can get cool. MIL pool is not heated either but on those stinking hot days its awesome to just jump in and let the water take your breath away, love that feeling. Its so nice to hear that you and your parents are getting along well and it doesn't really matter why its happening, just go with it. I read your boo hoo post, what a witch! You should have been very proud of yourself for how you handled it, dignified as always - well done.
Jess - great pics, you've got heaps on there. Glad the rabbit is settling in well. Hope its not too hot for you guys today. Nice in Melb today, warm but not too hot. 30 I think they said.
Julie - I totally agree, you should be allowed to run your air con, esp being pregnant and having small children. I would turn off other things before the air con. I like a cool house!
Ali - thats so great that Liam is being a dream baby for you. Tori sounds like she is handling everything very well. I think being younger, they don't get so put out by the changes in the house.
Ali, Nic and Rory - good luck on the WW journey. You can all be inspiration for each other.
Going to tackle Chelsea's bday cake either tonight or tomorrow morning. We visited the playcentre yesterday to confirm arrangements and all is set. After having her parties at home every year, its so much easier (and cheaper) doing it somewhere else! She is very excited.
Better go finish the last of my washing. Beautiful day outside, not too hot but getter hotter the next 2 days.
-
sitting on 31 at the moment Mel.
Ladies there are some quick pics taken at Maccas on Saturday of Tali and her beautiful family...she is heading back on the 17th so I'm meeting up with her again, will take some better photos then.
-
thats a great family pic rory. I didnt get all 4 of us in a pic until tyron was a few weeks old :( i got a real nice one of the 3 boys in hosp but each time we attempted all of us Nixon wasnt co-operating!
we got a nice xmas one too hough so happy bout that.
Jess- thanks for the pics of Tali & her family look great!
Julie- i heard that about air con and thought what a load of bollox. as if u wouldnt use your air con on such a hot day, esp with a family and being pregnant. Your right there are a heap of other things you could turn off and not use b4 the aircon.
im going to the WW meeting tonight so will find out about my points then, but think if ive done 3 days straight on 20points i should be able to stick to it throughout
-
pmsl Nic - i thought id be the only person round here to say bollox - only ever heard ex poms say it not Aussies! but you're definately right - what a load of!

LOL Julie, we're Anglophiles in this house... DD goes around the house saying "sod off" too.... I haven't decided whether to crack down on that yet.... it's a bit rude. DH has read the whole Secret Seven Series to her so she knows all these old fashioned British phrases and uses them too. Even my 4yo says "Oh bother!" when something goes wrong... he also says "I'm going to bovver those birds mum!" hehe
-
funny funny bath! would really laugh at a 4 year ol dsaying oh bother!
Julie x
-
what happened?? we got kicked off the first page! Thats probably never happened before!
Nixon is unsettled tonight, the hot weather i think is playing a role. we only have aircon in the liungeroom and the rest of the house is still pretty hot.
don't really have a whole heap more to say really just dropping in to catch up but there is nothing to catch up on!
Hope everyone is well
-
Well I think this must be the longest any of us haven't posted, nearly 3 days. Well DH's birthday yesterday went well had friends over for drinks and a bbq and the kids were having a wonderful time, it was really a nice day. The pic of the cake is in my gallery if you want a look, I think it turned out well. The rain stopped for the party as well, was quite warm most of the day to and then today it was stinking hot and then around 1:30pm it started to pour, I think we've had rain for about 14 days, our dams have been filling which is great news too.
Well my name change came through this morning, so now I feel better now as amanda3 isn't really who I am anymore. Well I better chuff off, I've been really tired for the last few days, naughty me going to bed late so willtry and get to bed early tonight.
I hope everyone is well and all those new bubbas are going nice and strong and that all our Junie bubbas are as well.
Bath you are in my thoughts and prayers as well.
hugs xoxo

Just checking in as well, had a pretty full on couple of days with visitors as it was my Birthday on Friday- we had friends for a bbq last night, and family for lunch yesterday- I have to say I was feeling a bit worn out by the time everyone left, it might have been a bit much for one day.
BIL's GF came to visit today as she hadnt met Liam yet, bu she told us her and BIL had broken up, which we are really sad about because she is lovely and they made a really nice couple, it was nice of her to still come and see us though, I know she had been really excited about Liam arriving.
Other than that things are still going well, Liam is still sleeping well at night, but Tori is getting disturbed by me getting up to feed and it is taking us hours to get her back to sleep, DH has slept with her for at least 3 nights since we bough Liam home. Unfortunatley as we have an open plan house, the only door I can close is hers, which I really and not happy to do- hopefully she will get used to it soon, otherwise I might have to start feeding in the bedroom and just try not to wake up DH as he starts back at work on Tues.
I hope everyone is well and coping with the heat etc, it is going to be 40 degrees here tomorrow........yuck
-
Ali - HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Friday! Sounds like you had a nice but exhausting day. Its hard to try and keep quiet when feeding. Chelsea's room is next door to Marley's and I was so worried that her crying would wake her up. She did wake a couple of times in the early days but she must have gotten used to it and then stopped waking. I hope you manage to find a solution, must be hard trying to get Tori back to sleep. Good luck. We had similiar situation when my brother split with his GF, we really liked her and it was very hard to explain to Chelsea why she wouldn't be visiting anymore. It was lovely of her to come and see you and Liam.
Amanda - cake looked fantastic, as always! We could use some of your rain here, hasn't rained since before xmas. Hope you got to bed early tonight.
Nic - the hot weather is awful at the moment. We have air con in 2 of our living areas but the kids rooms aren't and they get very hot. We have pedestal fans in the kids rooms and that helps. It has been very quiet in here. We all must be too hot and bothered LOL!!!
Jess - great pics of Tali, thanks for putting them up.
Boy has it been hot in Melb. Finally today a cooler one! Last night was awful, it was still so hot when I finally felt like I could go to bed at 1am! Had Chelsea's bday party on Friday night which went really well. We hired out the whole playcentre and had about 30 kids (combined party with one of Chelsea's best friends), who all had a ball. She got some lovely presents and was absolutely stuffed afterwards. The handbag cake worked really well, I was very pleased with my effort. Chelsea loved it and told me what a good job I have done! I have loaded a pic in the photo gallery.
Chelsea and I went on a girls shopping day on Saturday. I really love going out with her, when its just her and I. She wanted sushi rolls for lunch so we sat down at the shop and ate our lunch then went and laybyed her school shoes (Bath, thanks for your suggestion of the AirFlex, they are fantastic!). They were $100, thankfully my dad is buying them for her as part of her b'day present, thanks Dad!!. She had some money from a friend of mine so she bought a big love heart necklace that she chose from Diva. She also had a $30 Coles Myer voucher, so she chose a jigsaw puzzle and a watch. I love watching her little mind trying to decide what to buy. She still has $8.50 left to spend, she kept asking me how much she had left but I am sure she has no concept of what that actually means.
Today she had a friends party at the movies. They saw Bee Movie, which I stayed for and it wasn't a bad movie, not excellent, but OK. Then afterwards at the girls house for lunch. Very busy weekend but lots of fun.
Marley has had a really bad heat rash which only disappeared this afternoon, when it finally cooled down. She has been a bit on the grumpy side lately, very clingy with me. DH also shaved off his goatie, which didn't help as she was so freaked out by him she wouldn't go near him. I left her with DH today and thankfully she is getting over it and actually wanting to go to him.
Loaded some more pics on my homepage under xmas 2007.
Hope everyone stays cool tomorrow, looks like a hot one for Julie and Ali tomorrow then it hits Melb on Thursday.
-
happy birthday Ali!!
does sound pretty full on having everyone over.
Nixon woke a couple of times early on with Tyron but generally he sleeps through his cries now. Tyron is sleeping at night from 10-11pm till about 5.30-6am which helps.
Does Tori still get out of bed much at night? im buying nixon a bed this week and just thinking how exhausted i am going to be when he can climb out of bed.
Last night it took 1.5hrs for him to get to sleep and im sure if he was in a bed it would have been in and out 1000 times! im not looking forward to the big bed transistion but it needs to happen asap, wont be long now till Ty needs the cot.
Mel- sounds like a great party! and hiring out the whole place would have been great, i went to a bday party at a play centre recently but it was hard cause hepas of other ppl were there, it was kind just grab a table and there wasnt enough for the amount of adults we had.
do you think Marley didnt recognize dh? isnt that funny, my neice used to dislike males with facial hair, dunno if it was the look of it, feel or what but she used to always cry when they came near her!
ohh ali i just seen your avater is updated, looks great!
-
Nic- We seem to have stopped the getting out of bed problem at night, we were basically trying to put her to bed too early and once we moved her bed time back the climbing out stopped, and even when she doesnt go straight to sleep she doesnt get out of bed very often at all- so all the nights we sat in her room for hours waiting for her to fall asleep have worked.
When she wakes up in the middle of the night she gets up, but he wander straight down to our bedroom- the only problem is that once she is awake she is REALLY hard to get back to sleep.
Maybe with Nixon's new bed you can start him in it for day time sleeps, for a week or so and then moving into it at night once he is used to it. He might be like Tori and take to it straight away.
Not much going on here, Pete goes back to work tomorrow so I will get my first taste of being home alone, I am pretty scared actualley, but sure once I get into the swing of it I will be fine.
ETA- Thanks for the new Avatar Bath it looks fantatic.
-
Good afternoon girls :) Just letting you know that Verity and I are flying up to Tamworth tomorrow morning for a week. Will be back on the 14th Jan. Hopefully this little break will refresh both body and spirit. DH will be caring for the boys, maybe going over to Sale to visit his dad. I hope he will cope.... I'm sure he will... too easy to worry though hey? I'll be staying with all my relos that live up that way including my sis (rosehannah) and will be meeting her youngest daughter for the first time! (She hasn't met Niall yet). Also, my SIL has had a new bub (little girl) about a week ago (after IVF). So I'll be surrounded by bubbas but will have all care but no responsibility! I'm really going to enjoy staying with my Dad and step mum and my grandparents too where I will be able to sit and do some cross stitch without sticky grabby little hands! Until then I hope everyone stays cool and relaxes as much as possible before the holiday period ends. I'll miss you all! :grouphug:
-
All the best, Bath! You know I'll be thinking of you :) I'm envious that you will be able to partake in crafts without sticky little fingers annoying you...my niece's first birthday present is sitting in my new desktop easel...still...half painted...
Have a GREAT time! Verity might even enjoy the girly time without having to nurture babies, too. Big hugs for you!!
-
have a safe trip Bath and will be thinking of you!!
Have been reading but not replying ladies - glad to see most things are going well. Hopefully my m/s will come to and end soon and I'll be capable of more than a two line reply to anything.
ETA - love the new avs bath - yours is very pretty
-
Bath I hope that you have a wonderful relaxing time catching up with your family and enjoy been able to do things with out sticky fingers interupting you.
Ali, Rory and Bath I love all your new Av's, you've done a wonderful job again Bath.
hugs xoxo
-
Fantastic Av, Bath! You look ace!
-
*aww shucks* hehe ta girls... my background was meant to be transparent... but otherwise I am happy with it. I was too hot in my old clothes LOL needed a nice summery frock! Amanda: I hope i'll be updating your avvy with a preggy belly soon too! Hope your m/s eases soon too Jaspen!
ETA: Glad you found and are happy with the AirFlex shoes. Did they come with 2 inserts? That really helps to "refresh" the shoe after about 6 months of wear. Verity and i are going to have a battle agreeing on a new pair of school, shoes this year! She wants these horrid horrid ones that have absolutely NO support :( They are lined with cardboard! So hard and flat. I would rather spend extra $ on a pair of Doc Martins than what she wants. So I'm dreading that shopping trip when we return!
-
Can't I butt in ladies PLEASE
I just wanted to say WOW!!! your avatars look fantastic. I was hoping you could me out. I like the one that was done for me, but I wanted to make it a little more personal IYKWIM.
Could someone please tell me, which programme you use to make them up. I have been trying to find one, but had no luck. If you can't tell, I understand. Sorry again to butt in.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks Mel. :)
-
Mummy Mel: I use the Doll Palace and a few other similar sites but I also draw freehand in MS Paint. I drew my own dress for example. I've been doing avs for a few years so am getting the "knack". It can be a bit tricky to start off with. if you are familiar with Paint it's much easier. Sorry my InBox was full when you tired to send me a PM... I've deleted a few now so you can try again :)
ETA: Oh and I *think* i have done all the avvys in this Junies thread haven't I girls? MelS: I'll update yours too when i get back... Marely can toddle now etc PM me your other prefs.
-
Bath - have a wonderful trip! Your reputation as the avatar queen is far reaching LOL!! You are so good at them, I think you have done all the Junies and they are by far the best! I really love your new one, the dress you designed is so summery! And yes the airflex come with 2 inserts, what a brilliant idea.
Nic - yeah, I think Marley didn't recognise DH without his goatie. She is getting much better with him now - thank god! Good luck with the big bed transition. I was one of the very late starters, Chelsea had her bed when she was 2 1/2.
Ali - your new av looks wonderful. Everything will be fine when DH goes back to work. Sometimes I think it helps you get into a better routine when you are on your own. You'll do great.
Jaspen - sorry to hear the m/s is still giving you grief.
Maya - get back to painting!
What a beautiful Melb day today. DH is on holidays so we took the girls to Jells Park. Chelsea got a scooter for her b'day so she took that along. It was a great day, Marley really loved paddling along the edge of the lake, then decided to sit in the water! Had a nice lunch in their restaurant and then home.
I am back at work tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it! DH has the girls, so he'll be a busy boy tomorrow.
-
have a safe trip Bath! sounds like a great week ahead of you!
and love the green on you it suits you!!
yesterday i bought one of those leashes for Nixon, its a monkey one! so im teaching Nixon that its a "good boy" monkey and when he wears his special friend he is a very good boy and mummy holds onto his tail lol!
will report back when i actually use it for the first time
-
Bath enjoy your trip- a much deserved break for you!
Nic- I had one of those for Tori and she wouldnt wear it, she just wanted to carry it around as a teddy LOL. I have bought just a norma harness now but am yet to try it out.
-
I am loving the new avvys too!!!
A bit of a bummer for me because I just realised this morning that I have to go back to work 2 days a week next month for sure. I was planning on at least 1 day a week in Feb but I did a finances check and 2 days it will have to be. Working 2 days just covers our basic expenses for the month - I guess I better start expressing now.....
Ollie is being a great sleeper so far - last night he fed at 9.30pm and woke for a feed at 4am and then again at 6am. I hope he stays that way once I start working.
DANG! Flynn's up - better go. BBL!
-
Bummer about having to go back to work so soon Rory.
Today is my first day at home by myself with both the kids and so far so good (although Pete has only been gone just over an hour) but I managed to get myself up and organised and we have just been for a walk, Liam fell asleep in the pram so we stopped so Tori could have a play at the park. Now I am having some brekky and a shower while Liam is still asleep. I am also making Tori's lunch now so that if Liam wakes for a feed at her lunch time it will be all ready to go.
I am trying really hard to eat well and get some excercise as I have lost 12.5 kgs since I had Liam, and I reall dont want to put any back on- I only have 8 kgs to go and I will be what I was when I fell pg with Tori. I am very determined this year to get fit and healthy.
Anyway better go and have a shower while peace reigns in the Smith household ;)
-
great weight loss ali! ive been good on the healthy eating and sticking to my points but not the excercise part. I just dont find the time? i know i need to make the though.
Rory great Avater! i didnt really take much break from tupperware, although i havent done parties since Sept i continued to go to the meetins etc and from today started doing more manager stuff, realised we too need some more $$ if we are going to try and buy a house this year.
-
Hey girls - thought I would come and share my 2000th post with you all :)
Nickers I so hear you on how hard it is to exercise with two - there are so many things I took for granted with just one baby!! As for harnesses - DH bought a huge amount of webbing and is going to make one for Flynn - but it will be a full "jump" harness so DH can pick him up in it. Seriously, he is going to put a handle on the back so he can carry him when he is having a tanty in the shops LOL!!
Ali I have learnt the "make lunch ahead" trick too - 4-6pm is hectic around here. Last night I actually made dinner ahead too (tuna patties with salad) so we were all done and washed up by 6pm which was great.
Mel how did work go? I must say I am worried about leaving DH with the boys, which is silly because he is sooooo capable - and he is their DAD after all LOL! I can only imagine how apprehensive I would feel if I had to leave them in care. Though that said if DH gets into the fire brigade (YES we are STILL waiting on an interview time) he will be full time for 14 weeks so we will have to have someone look after the boys the days I work and I don't know if I even trust my mum IYKWIM?
Jaspen hope the m/s eases up :(
Amanda how do you cope with all your boys! And Jess too! I must say thinking of you two (and Coolabahdee) gives me strength when I think about how I will cope when #3 comes along. Yes - still clucky!!
Maya are you enjoying the break from uni?? One cool day soon I will have to make the trip up your way - I would love to see how Oscar is going and it will be exciting taking both boys on a long train trip.
Hope Bath is enjoyi9ng her family time and that Niall is doing ok. Hopefully he will forget BB while she is gone - optimistic I know :(
I am kinda looking forward to work now - I have my "mojo" back big time. I think I will spend today planning my goals and writing a few articles on cases just to get my brain into gear. I am so annoyed though, that I can't work full time AND be with my boys - talk about wanting the impossible, hey?
Better go - not much time before the feral wakes and I want to fold some nappies before he does. He LOVES undoing all my good work!
-
Congrats on your 2000th p[ost Rory.
I'm just trying to beat the heat here, its 10 o'clock in the morning and its 32 deg already... Need to go into town but as I haven't got a car( DH 's blew a head gasket and mine is at the Auto Elec's)...Mum just rang, she's going into town for me.(I try not to ask mum for help on hot days!) Well I better get these kids into their cm of water in their pool!
-
Nic and Ali - I used one of those "lead" things on Chelsea when she was about 2 -2.5 and she was pretty good. It was just one of the wrist straps and I think she thought it was pretty funny! Good luck with it, it can make life so much easier going to the shops etc and knowing they can't nick off! Oh and Ali, great job on the weight loss - you champion!
Rory - well done on 2000 posts! Work is fantastic, I really love going. I am still 2 days a week and from 5th Feb I go 3 days. Marley will go to creche Thurs and Fri and MIL will have her Tues. I so love our creche that I have absolutely no hesitation in sending her. The carers are just amazing and I know she will benefit alot from interacting with other kids and learning lots of new things. I get a bit worried when DH has both girls, but he usually surprises me and does great. They really love spending time with their dad. Can't believe DH is still waiting for an interview, they must love taking their time. Its great that you have your work "mojo" back. It will make going to work a whole lot easier. I find that when I am at work, Marley is a much happier toddler. I think me being with her all the time drives her nuts!!! I couldn't imagine trying to work full time, I like my days off and I think part time is a perfect balance. When I am home, we have dinner and baths done by 6pm. The kids prefer an early dinner and I like getting them off to bed early so DH and I can have some time together.
Jess - it was stinking hot here this morning too, thankfully now the cool change has hit and its a very pleasant 24. Sure beats 41!
Might be catching up with Tali tomorrow, so hopefully we can work out a good time. I am really looking forward to meeting her. Maya might join us too, if she is not too busy.
-
hi ladies
sorry ive been mia for a while - ive just been so tired and quesey this week, i have to have a sleep in the day when the bpys sleep so have lost my bb time! I had an awful day yesterday as i had a scan (which was good) at 8.30am so i ended up leaving the house without having had breakfast which was a huge mistake, i couldn't stop retching all day and everytime i fed or changed the kids! At least im not actually being sick so thats something i guess! Feeling much beeter today so being naughty and popping in while boys alseep. have a drs appt this arvo for blood test results which should be interesting as they rang my on Monday saying they wanted to discuss them with me - although cant be bad news about bub as i told them i wanted an earlier appt if it was and she said no it can wait till Friday.
Ali - well done at losing the 12.5kg already thats fab! I wouldn't worry too much about doing 'proper' exercise as i found my weight just fell off after having two as you just never sit down and are up and about most of the time anyway!
Rory - congrats on your 2000th post lol at working full time AND looking after kids.... if only!
Mel - Oscar has the airflex sandals - they are so ace! although i didn't get extra inserts with them - wish i did as they will be pongy before long! have a lovely meet with tali and say hi for me, hope she is enjoying her travels.
bath - hope you are enjoying your time away if you read this when you get back!
Sorry for not many personals, looking at the screen makes me feel queesey! Have a lovely weekend ladies
Julie x
-
oh Julie I hope the m/s takes it easy on you over the next few weeks - I am only now getting to the point where I can write more than a few lines or read a few threads. I'm sick almost daily and my eating is so hit and miss (although I now eat things that taste reasonable coming back up cause I know its going to happen)
hey Rory - your excitement for work is intoxicating!!! Oliver certainly sounds like he has settled in well.
mel - say hi to Tali if you catch up with her tomorrow and tell her she is so lucky she is not up here at the moment the humidity is ghastly
i found a website a few weeks ago that actually tells you what the temperature feels like rather than just what it is for eg up here for weeks the actual temp is 32 but generally feels like 37-39 due to winds and humidity. It makes me feel so much better to know that it really feels hotter than the 31 degrees it is I was thinking I was getting really woosy about the heat.
Ali - congrats on the weight loss - now if only I could restrict my weight gain to what you did with Liam I would be happy cause I'm starting at a ridicoulously high weight so I really don't want to put anything on.
Bath - hope you are having a great break and enjoying your time with your extended family.
Hi to everyone else, have to go sit under the fan again the heat is doing me in
-
Hi all,
sounds like everyone is well as can be! Feeling for all the preggy Junies - not wishing to be there again, but it could well be me next year if we decide to hold off for longer than Plan A!
I'm hoping to make it to meet Tali. I've got people coming round in the arvo and I don't want to get back too late so that DP and I are yelling at each other for having a messy house :( Things are weird enough as it is without the added strain of leaving a tidy up to the last minute!
Oscar has been high octane, as usual. Last Sunday he collected the biggest egg on his head yet after throwing himself off the deck ( :dunno: ) and later that hot day, he decided to try to ride the lawn mower...right after DP had finished using it. He now sports, under a twice-daily-changed waterproof dressing, a large burn on his bum cheek (luckily only one!), but it's higher up than the sitting part of his bum, so he can still do everything. He howled for a bit, then continued on his merry (haphazard) way. He's been in my parents' pool this week and hanging out heaps with my mum (my dad had a fall down their driveway and is worse for wear). When we go, she'll head back to the country for the school term, so she won't have the constant reminders of the summer she spent here with Oscar. The house here will go on the market in the next couple of weeks, so it will seal the deal on the last summer here in Melb with my parents, at their pool, in the house we lived in etc. It will be weird. I'll want to see my cousin more than ever, cos she'll be my closest relative, distance wise!
I'm rambling, sorry. Between hanging out on my parents' deck, hanging out in the backyard with Oscar and organising this OS trip virtually single-handedly, I've not had a chance to check in here - just been wandering to some other threads I was contributing to, to flex my brain a little (when my internet decides to stay connected...).
Jas - ooohh, I'd love one of those temperature thingies to take with me to Central America...25 degrees my arse!
Better go, need hydrating while Oscar sleeps (pretty much the only reason I got to type out something this long this side of midnight!)
-
just had a look Maya and this particular site will only give the "feels like" for local australian weather it does do overseas but only the more typical type forecast - I did have a detailed site I used for Canada last Christmas - I'll see if I can find that and let you know.
Oscar really is in the wars - ouch!!!!! I sympathise with him having to have dressings on his little bum!!! I fell out of a car once and had bandages on the sitting part of my bum forweeks they were such a pain to get on and off cause they always stuck (let alone the damage underneath that conseuqently didn't get a chance to heal cause any scabs kept coming off). Glad to hear it doesn't seem to be affecting him much though
ETA had a bit of a look and couldn't find it but I do find for overseas, wunderground gives a great range of detail for particular locations rather than just one or two towns in a state like some other sites do
-
Thanks for looking, Jas :) I might just have to make an educated guess for when I'm in Honduras in their winter again (humid as all get out!) and just deal with the fact that no matter what temp it is, my hair does not like 90% humidity...
What a doozy with the damage to your bum! At least you weren't naked at the time - imagine how much worse it could have been? LOL!
Hmmm, kid still asleep...when's he going to bed tonight?

true I wasn't naked - it tore my undies from my bum so it could have been way worse as you say LOL (I can laugh about it these days but as an 8 year old I didn't think it very funny having to show my bum toe every second person who had an idea of what was the best way to fix things LOL). I hope Oscars burns heal nicely and quickly and don't cause him any further pain

ouch to all the bum injuries!
Rory cograts on post 2000!
it was hot in sydney today about 33 where i am but no where near as hot as poor Melbourne. did u get the cool change this arvo that ou were meant to girls?
well my head is spinning atm my tupperware manager has a family emergency and has to drop everything and fly to endgland tomorrow. she's handed me all her parties etc (10 in the next 2 weeks) and couldnt come at a worse time DH is basically away for the next 3-4weeks its his busiest time of year at work.
seeing my mum and sister in the morning and hoping between them and maybe MIL and SIL i can get some babysitting so i can do some of the parties then ring arounf my team to palm some off....
anyway last week i was thinking how the heck am i going o get back in the swing of things, nothing like being thrown in the deep end lol!
Julie- oh yuk i dont envy you with the queeziness but hope its copeable most of the time and eases for you soon. Im sure your results are fine, most times even with good results docs want to see you rather then tell you over the phone. its another consiltation for them hence more $$!
Mel- hope you get to meet up with Tali, hope their trip has been fun.
Tyron rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time yesterday! he has done it a few times since clever boy! he is such a placid happy baby. Nixon wasnt a very happy boy at the same age, reflux etc hated being on his belly, back, alone all of the above.
anyway im pooped bed time i was up late last night, good night all

Wow nic - although unfortunate for your manager how fortunate for you although make sure you don't overdo it hey - 10 parties in 2 weeks !!!!! your team is going to think all their christmas' have come at once too!! :) That'll see you some nice commission on top of the sales for the month too!!

Nic I am so glad you got a placid one this time :) I am lucky in that Ollie is very placid generally but very much "hard to read" than Flynn was. I mean, he is a "real baby" in that he gets worked up now and then, needs to be calmed, fidgets at the breast, actually cries (shock horror LOL!!) and so on. I am so glad he is my second.
Jaspen HOW ON EARTH did you fall out of a car!! Gosh the things kids do!
Maya when are you off to CA?? How are things for you ATM?? Is it all ok?
Julie I have been meaning to ask - do you plan on stopping at three? Does the gender make a difference to your decision? I have been thinking if number 3 is a boy I would stop at that because I would enjoy the "tone" of a family with three boys, but if she is a girl we would try for another so as to maybe give her a sister? (not that I would be upset with #4 being a boy mind you). I know it is a long way off for me to be thinking like this but Ollie was only 2 days old and I was lamenting the possibility that my next baby could be by last!
Mel I would have loved to meet you at Knox but it is just too far to drive with petrol being the way it is ATM and I checked out the public transport there and it would be a bit hard with the 2 kids. AND Flynn was up last night from 12.30 to 3.30AM!! Little ratbag ;)
Jess I hope you got some respite from the heat - did you guys get the cool change too?
