Have also sent it in for uploading so hopefully it might be uploaded this weekend. Will come back on Monday to do some proper replies... but until then goodluck Maya with your middy appointment and good work Mel being so organised... like they say: "if you want something done ask a busy person!!!"

Have a great weekend everyone... may all the Junie kids sleep in for you!

we all had a sleep in thismorning till 8.10am which was much needed!
tonight we went to a disco at Nixon's daycare which the boys had a blast at. the have both zonked for the night which i am glad because toward the end they become tired cranky and hard work!
tomorrow having a easter lunch with my family cause we are going away over easter!
DH has to work at Byron Bay on good Friday and Easter Monday but we are going to the gold coast for 5 days so hope to get some nice family time in between and maybe go to seaworld.
so excited cause its our first family trip! Ty's first plane trip. Nixon has been on plenty but not since he was 12months old!
I hope everyone is well.Maya how was your appointment? Is there any more Junies expecting that we dont yet know about?! (no not me!)

Bath - thanks, that is true!

Nic - their first disco!!! I loved the pics on FB, both boys looked very cool. I'm sure the boys will love Seaworld. We took Chelsea when she was 2 1/2 and she loved it. Our last family holiday was to Noosa when Marley was 9 months old. Might have to pester DH and start planning one. Problem is DH has to organise his holidays a year in advance which is really hard. Then he forgets when they are coming up and he told me last week that he has 2 weeks off from Easter Sunday. Bit late to be planning something now!

Maya - how did middie appointment go?

Wonder if Amanda's new avvy is done yet? Will have to check it out.

My best friend in Brisbane had her baby on 26/3, a healthy baby boy. She had a very complicated pregnancy with her DD (who is same age as Marley) which resulted in 7 weeks in hospital prior to her birth at 35 weeks. This one has complications too but thankfully she held out to 39 weeks. Poor thing has cracked and bleeding nipples. She didn't breastfeed her DD due to her small weight, she couldn't suck so she expressed for months. This time I think this one is a good sucker and she is finding it all very foreign. I wish I was up there to offer some support. I plan to go up in a few months, but I am sure things will have settled down for by then.

Went to the Melbourne Musuem today to see the Dinosaur exhibition. It was fabulous. I haven't been to the musuem in ages and they have some fantastic kids areas. And I can't believe how cheap it is, $8 for adults and kids free. Now just have to think of some other activities for the school holidays - any suggestions girls?

Back later... strong demands for afternoon tea from the boys all of a sudden... happens everytime Au Tro Trot is over... I should have waited! LOL

    Bath Amanda's avvy looks great....

so hows the school hols treating everyone ( those of us who have started already that is ) My winkies are driving me barny, I know its not there fault seeing as we are house bound, with this cold and wet weather, but if I have to clean up anymore pencil sharpings I think you will ALL hear me scream.... I am so over it... I keep telling them that I will take there pencils away, but they know that I want as then they will drive me more nuts without anything to do gotta love those catch 22's...

Well Zayden has had all the testing that he need for now, Now we just have to wait until his doctor is back from his easter break... ( 30th of April ) to work out what it all means... all I know so far is that they have ALL come back saying that he is below Average for his age in almost everything... but at least they are all saying the same thing I guess.... I am just over the wait and want to know whats in store for my boy.... Apart from knowing that he is in for a hard time of school life... I might have to have a better look into one of those Altueritive ( sp? ) schools... maybe he would do better in one of those than main stream... bet the doctor want think that though

Apart from that same old same old here, waiting for BHL to come home, its been a long two weeks this time, not helping that he isnt happy out there ATM as they have changed his crew... that and it takes him over 12 hrs to get home here in Melb while if we lived in Townsville he would have been home at 8.30 am instead of about 8.30 pm tonight if were lucky.... makes for one cranky BHL when we pick him up, the cold want help either...

kai has had a week of dry nappies this week she is doing really well but know if I take them off she will wet the bed... I will hold off and wait until she has a month of dry naps then I might give it ago again... She is finally starting to speak more and is comming out of her little shell a bit, which is great... she even said Mayleaka the other day but is refusing to say Zaydens name every time you try she will give you a check look and say " NO Doda" have no idea where Doda came from but for her thats Zayden...

Hope you are all doing well...

How's the hols going you ask tali? LOL well on Tuesday afternoon I wandered out the front of the house to watch Verity mucking around with some friends she had invited over (our house seems to have become the place to hang out... as all the parents of her friends work so they seem to be allowed to roam free)... I had 9 kids to supervise at one point: 7 teens, Wade and Niall. Required all my patience and vigilance... and ended up in yet another 000 call for an ambulance. One of the teen boys decided to climb a tree, and naturally fell down, breaking his arm. At least I saw it happen... I had a gut feel that something was going to go wrong... and I hurried out there telling the other kids to stop laughing and to find out if the kid was ok... sure enough he started moaning and saying that his arm was hurt... and bloody hell it certainly was! Think of the shape of a step... that was his forearm just above his wrist... amazing that the bones didn't break through the skin. So his mates stopped laughing and now it was time for me to pick up the pieces... the kid was actually very embarrassed and kept saying sorry to me over and over... i didn't lecture, he needed a bit of mothering... and the mate that threw the shoes up in the tree (which is why he went up there) was also very remorseful and sat down next to the kid saying "sorry mate" over and over again. These kids who were so full of bravado just minutes before were now sooo "small" and vulerable. Anyhow the ambo only took about 6-7 minutes to arrive again and off he went. Then I had to ring his parents... the father sounded stern but his mum was very grateful. He's fine now... came around yesterday and showed us his fully plastered arm (from shoulder to hand, alot bigger than I was expecting). And this morning I booked myself into a Red Cross first aid course!!! I've been meaning to do it for years. I'm reading the writing on the wall... thankfully the fee ($175) will be fully covered by our private health fund... so yay! a bit of free and no doubt very useful mental stimulation! It takes four nights... 15 hours. Looking forward to it!

    HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE.

Firstly Bath thanks sooo very much for the wonderful avvy yet again, your amazing woman. Secondly, OMGoodness that poor boy, but good on you for getting your first aid course under your belt, it sounds as though you will be needing it.

We've had a great easter, we went up to my parents in Hervey Bay on Friday and got home just before the easter bunny last night, kids were up early and seeing what that had in their easter baskets, but not too much chocolate was consumed and there will be a limits.

    Tali loving the name change

Maya how's that little bundle going?

    Better be off, night, night.

    hugs xoxo

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all had a great weekend.

Amanda - I'm loving your avvy too! Chocolate limts sound like a good idea, we have them in this house and for me too !!!

Bath - another ambulance call, you poor thing. What a comedy of errors. Bet there will be no more shoe throwing anymore. Glad the boy is ok, but what a fright he must have had. First aid course sounds like an excellent idea. I have done many over the years while working but I would probably forget what to do in a real emergency.

Tali - love the name change! School holidays have been ok so far, weather has been pretty kind to us so far and 27 tomorrow! We try to go to the park each day, wear them out a little or a trip to the shops for a babycino and see one of the free kids shows kills some time. I know what you mean about the pencils, but in this house its the markers (washable, of course!). Lids never go back on and I am forever telling Marley to put them back on. She knows what I mean, she just chooses to ignore me! Nice of the dr to keep you waiting so long, thats a bit unfair. I'm sure you just want to understand what it all means as I bet its very confusing. Good work on the dry nappies. Still not much progress here on that front.

We didn't go away this Easter, DH had to work most of it but at least had Sunday off. We went to Jells Park for the morning and feed the ducks and had a great picnic. The park was so busy with many families celebrating Easter. Both mine and DH's family don't really celebrate much which really annoys me. We did an Easter egg hunt in the backyard and Marley nearly spotted more than Chelsea. We have got the approval to build our new pool which DH and I are both so excited about. Construction will start in about 4 weeks and it should take 12 weeks to complete, so in plenty of time for next summer.

Marley has finally given up her dummy Its taken a while but its finally happened and she now tells everyone about it and that she is a big girl now and no dummy. If only her TT was as easy. We have tried undies quite a few times, but she just keeps wetting them and so far nothing on the toilet yet.

DH and I are going away for a kid free night away on Friday. Friends of ours (husband and wife) are both turning 40 so they have decided that instead of having a party, they would invite 7 couples to go and stay at a beautiful B&B in the Yarra Valley. They have booked out the 8 rooms it has and we are going up mid afternoon on Friday and come back on Saturday after lunch. DH and I have never both been away without the kids ever so this will be a real treat. My SIL is having Chelsea for the night and MIL having Marley. MIL wasn't keen on having both of them overnight - who knows why as both are excellent sleepers.

Well thats a long enough ramble for now LOL!!!

    Don't eat too much chocolate

Hey everyone, gotta be quick cause I am at work and a little busy!

All is well with us at the moment, Ollie is growing fast and trying to talk (and freaking out when we don't understand his grunts and wild gestures!) while Flynn is a talking dynamo who is into dinosaurs, planes and his fireman hat (like all little boys it seems!)

Mel that w'end away sounds great - it is exactly what DH and I plan to do for our 40th (can you PM me the details - I am scoping venues already, even though we have a while to go - gotta start saving now though!!)

Tali hope you enjoyed the sunny weather over easter - it was just for you hun!

    see you all soon

Thanks Rory it just what i needed I have been loving the weather at the moment....

Mel thats sound like a wonderful weekend you are very lucky... BHL and I have never been away without the kids either, I think its about time we make the time for ourselves..

Bath I hope you amobs stay away from you house for the time beening... I saw that you are having another flare up... you need to relax some more and have more time for yourself there is no point running yourself raggered, as believe me growing up with a sick mum is no fun so look after yourself ...

amanda we have been tossing around the idea of moving to HVB again, might have to get you to find out where the good and bad part are.... I think you did do this for me about 2 yrs ago but we might need it soon... I think I might be ready for a small town...

    hello to everyone else

well school hols havent been to bad yet as bHL has been home and having easter and DS's 9th b'day we have been doing things.... I cant believe my baby is 9 where is the time going... and been a mum to a 9 year old makes me feel old

BHL has just left for work... his only mate ther has just been given the boot, and seeing as BHL stays at this said mates house tonight I have a feeling that there will be a few beers being drunk... I hope BHL remembers he has to Fly out tomorrow!

But he has just been offerd a new job its week on week off so might mean we would have to move closer to site so that we dont waste so much money on flights and time on travel... but I dont know too much ATM will find out more tonight after he has a look at the net to scope it out and see if it would be worsth the move... The only down side is, its in Mackay dont know if I want to move there... I might suggest to BHL maybe we move to brisvagas or sunny coast so that we have the big town support for DS if he needs it... but that would still mean waisting money on flight... Ummmmm no point worring about it until I know I have to start to...

BHL and I are still TTC #4 but with no luck so far, its been about 4 mths so early days ... just wished it would happen quicker than it normally does, but I guess its not helping having BHL away so much

Bugger I hate it when I post again before anyone else has posted sence my last post feels like I am talking to myself...

well just a quick one to let you all know that we are moving again I know it was like only 4 post ago that I said we were staying put

But BHL has been offerd a better job as its the same pay we are on now but its 6 days on 6 days off so we will get to see him more ( might just help us TTC as well )... but for this too work we have to move... the job is out of Mackay... but we have decided that we are going to move to Brisbane... as this way if the job falls though we would have more jobs oppertuity there than Mackay with 1000 other miners....

So it looks like we will be moving sometime in June... so I will still be able to go to the Melbourne meet... Is anyone else going ? cant remember if I have seen your names or not...

Amanda I hope you have that kettle on as I will need a friendly face and I love a coffee and a chat...

Tali you will be more then welcome to visit anytime and don't worry about the winkies my tribe will love having new people to play with.

Julian has both his bottom two teeth now so very cute hopefully will be trying some food soon, but if he's anything like Cody won't want much for another few months. I've started my doula course and it's going great so far. Cody is throwing tanties all the time now (I forgot how frustrating this phase is, for them and me, lol) and the boys are copping the brunt of it, by getting a toy thrown at them ect. Lockie had his first sleep over last night, was nice for him but both DH and I both missed him, was funny because you get so use to having them there bugging each other, then one goes and your always looking for them, lol. He had a great time...was dropped off this morning.

    Hope everyone is well

Tali: I was just talking to Maya yesterday and tossing up the idea of a June meetup to celebrate our June babies turning 3... but now that I know you'll be going around then I'm happy to have one sooner... my place? Very flexible here... would be good to catchup while the weather is nice and we have the option of getting outside

Footy about to start... back later!

Yep, would love to have a meet up sooner so that we catch up, Tali! In fact, there are times I'm kind of near or passing through the Berwick area and I could come and visit then, too It's just a matter of organising myself a bit better (caught up with my old hairdresser cos I was in the area and I'm going to have to give her the heads up next time, so we can catch up properly!).
Things still mad around here and playing catch ups again at uni. Just can't concentrate
DP away for 4 days next week for work, so that will be interesting again.
Had our old neighbours come to Melbourne this week and caught up with them - was really great and we all went to Sky High for dinner (they missed Melb views, even though the dinner was ordinary!) and ended up at a local bar for drinkies (I had a weak beer and a chandy, a bit naughty, but it wasn't much...and it's not often at all!!). So, being that we probably will see them in July at the earliest, and they won't be able to see the evolution of the 'secret' belly, we told them about the pg.
Ok, probably run out of time to post, I can hear DP telling Oscar off near the shed...

    Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well. I have finally found 5 mins to sit down and catch up on everyone's news.

Nic- First of all I wanted to say a happy (althought slightly belated) Happy Birthday to Nixon- I hope you all had a wonderful day.

Maya- Congrats on your pg, how exciting- I am getting super clucky again. I hope uni isnt going to badly.

Mel- Im jealous, I would love a pool, but we are slightly lacking in space here - oh and it is a rental so kinda pointless. Tori also just gave up her dummy, the easter bunny took them away for his baby rabbits.

Rory- I hope you are settling in well at your new job. Sounds like your boys are doing wonderfully, Liam is also starting to talk, I think he figured he would have to get on with it otherwise he would never get a word in, as Tori talks all day.

Amanda- Today was the first time in I dont know how long that I was home with just Liam and I kept listening out for Tori, can't imagine how strange it felt to have one of your babies away for the whole night. Good luck with your Doula course- I am sure you will do a fantastic job at it.

Bath- Enjoy your first aid course, I actualley really enjoyed doing mine (although I do hope I never have to use it), I am actually due for a refresher soon. We are not required to have it as a teacher, but I feel much better knowing that I have some knoweldge if ever faced with an emergency situation in the classroom- or at home for that matter.

Tali- I hope the next move isnt too stressful- I am sure that if it means more time with DH at home it will be better. I hope the kids didnt try you too batty over the school holidays.

Things here have been going at warp speed. We were looking into building a house, we had an offer on a block of land, and plans drawn up and everything, but the site works on the block came back at $45,000 and just blew our budget, which meant the whole deal fell through. We were a little bit disapointed, but I was also a little relieved as well- it was alot of money to be borrowing, and the implications that it meant in regards to work etc just did my head in.
Tori is doing great- she is fully toilet trained and dry at night. We have had some big issues with poo, but finally after a couple trips to the dr's and 3weeks on parachoc she is now doing proper poos in the toilet instead of handing on to them for 3-4 days at a time. Both the kids are at daycare 1 day a week while I am working and really enjoying it. I think Tori will be more than ready to start Kindy next year.

DH and I are seriously talking about TTC #3, I thought after I had Liam that I was done, but I can't get rid of the the niggling urge to have more, and I dont want to let the materialistic things in life take away my chances of being a mum again (part of the reason I am glad the house building thing fell through) so we will probably start trying in Dec for a couple of months and if that doent work out then wait till august and try again (trying to fit it around work stuff). I am really excited, I just feel like I need to be a mum again.

Also a heads up for Melb girls, We are heading over for a holiday in April next year and I would love to try and catch up with you all while I am there, it would be really lovely to put some faces to names.

Anyway I had better go, will try and get back a bit more regularly.

    Where do I start!!!!!

Pat is growing up, can't get him to stop the walking into room at all hours, but I suppose its better than him screaming in his room.
I've been talking alot to Maya, so she has filled me in on a lot of things.

Things in our house are pretty busy these days, as I now have ANOTHER daughter!!!

Before you all say OMG, let me tell you that she is 15 yo and she is my foster daughter! Its a olong story, but the shortened version is, her family is very violent, her step mum hates her as much as she hates her step mum, her family are on drugs ( the illegal kind) and the police have given their approval for her to be in our care. DHS haven't contacted us in 4 weeks since the report from thje police went through, so have no idea on what is happening there, but expect a visit from us in the next couple of weeks, because apparently you need ID, to get ID, so we have to make a visit to Births, Deaths and Marriages!!!

So there it is short and sweet...if I've forgotten anything Maya let me know!!!

    Love to all the Junies

Wow, you girls have been chatting!!

Rory - I PMed you the details, you have to go there!

Tali - sorry, have to keep calling you that! Don't think of yourself as and old mum, think of yourself as a "hot" mum to a 9 year old! Sunny Brisbane - at least you can enjoy the sunshine! Glad DH managed to get another job, and I'm glad we can squeeze another get together before you go.

Amanda - how is the doula course going? I get the tanties too and really good ones. Sleep overs - how exciting. Chelsea has had a few but only with her cousins, and my best friend. They just love it.

Maya - food was bad at Sky High? Glad you told me, I've been wanting to check it out for ages. Was going to go their atea thing for my birthday in March so glad I didn't!

Ali - shame about the house, but maybe it wasn't meant to be - the world had other things in store for you (like maybe baby #3???). That is so great you got the poo thing sorted out - girls are notorious for having issues with their poo. Would love to meet you in April - at least we have plenty of time to plan.

Jess - hey stranger! Good on you for taking the girl in. At least she has somewhere safe and loving to stay.
