Wow, you girls have been chatting!!

Rory - I PMed you the details, you have to go there!

Tali - sorry, have to keep calling you that! Don't think of yourself as and old mum, think of yourself as a "hot" mum to a 9 year old! Sunny Brisbane - at least you can enjoy the sunshine! Glad DH managed to get another job, and I'm glad we can squeeze another get together before you go.

Amanda - how is the doula course going? I get the tanties too and really good ones. Sleep overs - how exciting. Chelsea has had a few but only with her cousins, and my best friend. They just love it.

Maya - food was bad at Sky High? Glad you told me, I've been wanting to check it out for ages. Was going to go their atea thing for my birthday in March so glad I didn't!

Ali - shame about the house, but maybe it wasn't meant to be - the world had other things in store for you (like maybe baby #3???). That is so great you got the poo thing sorted out - girls are notorious for having issues with their poo. Would love to meet you in April - at least we have plenty of time to plan.

Jess - hey stranger! Good on you for taking the girl in. At least she has somewhere safe and loving to stay.

We had our first night away from both kids last week - it was HEAVEN!!!! We layed in bed the next morning (at 7am, couldn't sleep in) and just chatted. Something that usually never happens as DH is either at work or the kids want breakfast. I highly recommend it. One night was enough, I missed them and got the biggest bear hug from Marley when I got back, she nearly knocked me over.

Chelsea lost her front tooth on Friday. Its been loose for ages and hanging by a thread. Her and Marley were fighting over something and Marley hit her in the face and out came the tooth - poor Chelsea didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She got her $2 from the tooth fairy so she was happy. She looks so funny with the gap and now the other is loose too.

Marley is still not doing much on the TT front. She was in undies yesterday afternoon. Said she wanted to go, off to the loo, sits for a while, hops off and walks to her loungeroom and within 5 mins, weed on the floor! This happens all the time. I think the whole understanding is totally lost on her at the moment. Hopefully she might be one of these kids that just suddenly "gets it".

Took last week off, so its been 11 days since I last worked. It was great. Back today and it's been pretty good. Not too busy - I have a good group of students this year who can manage and read things on their own!

Would love a Junie meet in June.

wow almost 2 weeks between posts!

Thanks Ali for Nixon's birthday wishes, and tthose with bday wishes on FB, i guess he gets somewhat "forgotten" with the June babies being Apirl! Nixon had a good 3rd birthday mostly. He went to preschool the day of which he got loads of attention for his special day! i made little cupcakes in the faces of our dogs the boxer & husky. he did his first news story that day on his dogs!
whilst he was at school i was making the cake! i made a toy story one this yr, wasnt hard just time consuming, it was 3 tiers! turned out pretty well.
we had his party on the sat just up the road at a nice small cafe/playcentre. Then 10min before we were about to go dh went out the back and found our boxer unable to stand.... he rushed him to the vet knowing it wasnt good. i was stuck with 2 boys and a 3 teired cake to get up the rd! my parents swung by here and helped me.
it was hard to forget about marlu at Nixon's party and had a cry when ppl asked me where dh was.
he came to the party clearly upset and never took his sunnies off. Then i went up to the vet about 230pm they had just done an xray of his spine and he seen me straight away. He had a huge bone grown on his spine bigger than the vet had ever seen (it was about 2 inches long) by 4pm i held his head whilst he went to sleep, dh couldnt come in he stayed int he car. my parents and sister were at home witht he boys thankfully and we arrived home devistated. we both cried ourselves to sleep that night and nixon came into our bed (he knew we were upset) and told us that tahoe was sade and poor marlu.....
the following day we had my neices bday party still feeling shocked at what happened. sunday night my neice ended up in hospital with severe dehydration and gastro..... Monday we took the boys to the easter show and came home to them both throwing up. by wed dh had it and thursday i had it.
it was a sh##ty week to say the least!
this week dh came down with a cold and has been moping around and today i got a call from nixon's preschool to say he had a temp of 39.5 and needed to come get him.
i was an hour away minding my neices so dh came from work (he was 25min away) and i had to get my mum to come home from where she was so then i could come home. he is having a sleep now and temp gone down and waiting to see how he is when he wakes.

thats us in a nutshell lol!

Rory & Ali- very excting about ttc #3!! we have discussed it. i'd like to ttc from maybe sept this yr but i want to loose a good 10kgs first and cant seem to get my but motivated to loose it! i got to training 2-3 mornings a week but just not watching what i eat. (and i ate way to much chocolate over easter)
Mel- sounds fantastic to have a night away from the kids! we did that o valentines day and it was strange but welcomed hehe!
Tyron is 18months old now and such a funny character!

I was beginning to think everyone had left!!!

So sorry to hear about Marlu. A similiar thing happened to my brother a few weeks ago, but it was a tumour on his leg. Its so very sad to lose a pet. We have lost 2 dogs since DH and I have been married and each time it breaks your heart just as bad. We have two beautiful mahogeny boxes with their ashes on our bookshelf. I think you said you did the same? He can then be with you always. Glad Nixon had a good birthday, his pictures looked so cute. He really looks so grown up now. How is he feeling now, hope his temp has gone down. How is your neice? Poor thing, what a way to spend your birthday. Not nice that you guys got it too - yuk! Ty is 18 mths old, where has the time gone. He one cute little boy - a smile that will melt your heart.

Our pool is almost ready to start. Architect is just finishing the plans for us to approve, off the council then hopefully they will start digging in 3 weeks. We are now having to pick tile colours etc and its a bit daunting. We want to make sure we pick right.

Marley has been a bit of a brut at creche lately. Not sure what is going on. She has been pushing a bit and hit a poor kid on the head last week. She is so feisty, hates not getting her own way. Chelsea was the most placid of kids, so sweet and very rarely naughty. Marley is the total opposite, although she can be very sweet. Its quite embarrasing when they tell me what she has been up to, but they are so good about it. They just love her and think she has something special about her - she is always making them laugh. She has such a cheeky gleam in her eye. Life is never dull in this house lol!

Get back on soon girls - I want to catch up on any goss!

    Take care everyone - MWAH!!!!

ohh nice one a pool! we are starting stage 2 of our reno's, had a guy over last week and he is drawing up the plans to take to council.
we want to fence in part of the front yard, put in a new carport, rip out a wall put bi-folds onto a decking and nice yard for the kids which also means enclosing the porch, knocking out some more walls to re create the lounge room! we wont be doing it all at once but hope to get it all apporived and just do what we can as we can. first thing will prob be fencing in the yard.

end up taking Nix to hosp last night, over 48hrs of 39-40degree temp, vomitting and not a lot of urine output. we didnt get admitted but he hasnt been much better today. got the shakes thismorning, rugged him up, slept for 2hrs then woke up with a temp of 40 again....

Poor Nixon! Maybe you should take him back to the hospital? Hope he gets better soon, its awful when our babies are sick.

We have done alot to our house over the 14 years we have been here. Hope you get all your plans approved, they sound great. Councils can be a pain to deal with, I know ours is!

What a beautiful weekend in Melbourne! Sunshine all weekend. Quiet weekend for us, DH has been on nighshift all week and then goes away for 3 day starting tomorrow.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Goodafternoon Just a flying vist today... have cut waaay back on my internet usage ever since a BB thread inspired me to complete some cross-stitch and sewing projects. Tali especially inspired me with her amazing birth samplers!!! Check them out in her gallery! I need to do one for Niall and then all three of my kids will have their own. Mel: How exciting to have a pool going in!!! Nic: Awww I hope Nixon recovers soon... Niall has had swollen glands under his jaw for nearly three weeks now! He otherwise doesn't seem sick... I'm also on the verge of seeing a doctor with him.
Verity has gone on school camp today, for a week.... going to be quiet without her. And I start my Red Cross first aid course tonight Finally: Hiya Jess and Ali! Looking forward to maybe seeing some more missed members as more of our June Babies approach their 3rd birthdays!

Hi girls, it's been a while since I posted!
I have my work cut out for me with Oscar. He will only wear t-shirts. Problem - our washing machine broke and all the t-shirts he likes are under the house drying (cos we're doing laundromat runs once a week now!) and he wouldn't have a bar of anything with long sleeves...but I ended up wrestling him into a shirt and into the car to get to playgroup today! I promised him (and made good on) a trip to 'the shop' to get some more t-shirts. There's a Holeproof factory outlet in Nunawading, very near the playgroup, so we ducked in there and I even got myself a Bonds maternity bra...cos now it seems I fit into some DD cups - woo hoo! I've shrunk during pg!
Anyhoo, we had Saturday without him, saw him for a couple of hours on Sat night at my parents where we had dinner (and told them about the next baby) and then went out to Micawbers up here in the hills for music and drinks, leaving Oscar to stay overnight with my parents. All went well - the bugger sleeps through for grandparents! Then I didn't even see him the next morning cos I left early to hang out with a girlfriend (met her through my former neighbours, who moved to Newcastle, and we're becoming very good mates, just like my neighbours said we would!), who taught me some guitary things, we went to lunch at CERES and then went to see a friend of mine play before we had to go back and play mummies again. I think DP is at least pretending to understand that now is the time I need my time-out, and that after nearly 3 years of not wanting it, it's time to just let me have it
I'm hoping also to have a solo break to Brisbane to visit a friend, or else (if she's not going to be home at a good time - she's a flight attendant), then somewhere else. DP feels a bit left out on that one, but I really need to just get away for a good couple of days to recollect, recharge and gather myself for this next phase.
Oscar's doing well, health-wise - which is surprising cos he goes to childcare! But it's only 2 days, so maybe that's why he gets off light. He still feeds at night to go to sleep, and more in the morning upon waking. I have no idea how much longer we've got before he goes off it, and if he'll go back on! He might not - because of the age he is, this pregnancy might be the natural conclusion. Or not!
In between being a complete devil and tyrant, he has some very funny moments, or just moments of being a completely different person from either DP or I...I love that
He refuses to get his hair cut, so it's still long and wispy and sunbleached from last year.
Can't concentrate anymore, I have a few things I need to do and if I don't do them my mind will spiral out of control...!
Great to read from you all

hello everyone, it so nice to know that even though we might be slowing down with our chatter we still pop in every now and then to where ( for me at least ) it all started...

Mel what colour are you thinking for your pool? blue green or a bit of both... we had a pebble creat ( sp?) pool in cairns it ruins your togs ( swimmer / bather) just rips them to shreds with the help of clorine... are you going salt/clorine or just straight clorine, I found the salt mix nicer to your skin, plus dont have too many plants that lose there leaves near the pool its a pain in the butt getting them out... are you getting heating? ( the only way you would get me in a pool down here )

Nic I hope Nixon is feeling better now, not nice having a sick baba around...

Maya so you have told your family how they take the baby news excited! are you going to find out what your having ? I only ever found out with May, I like the surprise too much at the end... Love nothing more than at the end of all those long months and all that hard work birthing your child than to look down and see what you managed to make... having some time out sounds wonderful, I havent had any of that in 9 years can only see myself as a mum and wouldnt know what to do with myself now with out having at least one child around me... sad I know, but if you do what you are doing and not let it go on to far you will always know who you are...

Bath Thank you for the complaments, I have seen your work as well, which are wonderful... I too have been busy lately getting back into my crafts, I have now finished my crochet nanna blanket and have made both girls a patchworked blanket for their beds, now I really want to get into Kailaia's cross stitch I know I cant finish it in time for her 3rd birthday but would like it done by her 4th... MIL has made lovely huge cross stitches for Ds and DD plus both of Sils kids for their 3rd birthday, but I somehow dont think she is going to do that for Kai, as she sent her gift in the post already... Plus she doesnt like both May or Kai so never expect much from her when it come to the girls, I think thats why I want to do it for her so she doesnt think she was left out when she is older...

Hello to rory, jess Amanda, and Ali

AFM, I think it almost decided that we will be moving to Mackay and NOT Brissy like I wanted.. which is a big blow, but it will mean seeing BHL ALOT more been in Mackay and we wont have to waste any money on FIFO which is a good thing... we have never been to Mackay just stay the night on our way though so havent seem much apart from the hwy with all the motels... Havent even seen the beaches... but we are hoping that we will be happy there at least for the next few years and then we hope thing will be on the up and up with the GFC so that we can find a job that FIFO of where we want to settle ( which at this stage could be Cairns or Brisbane ) unless of couses we fall in love with Mackay, never say never is now the saying I am adopting, as when ever I say " Last move ever or Last baby " we alway end up changing our minds, so I will never say never again...

Kailaia is starting to talk sooooooo much now which I am very happy about, she can come out with the cutest things ( as they all do ) but she seems to be growing up so fast now, no longer a baby but a " Big Girl " as I am consternly told...
Bith May and Zayden have now had their birthdays so I am a mother to a 9 and 6 year old where have those years gone!!! if feels just like yesterdays I had babies...

Bath - how is the house without DD? Must be awfully quiet and I bet the boys are missing her.

Maya - so the Holeproof factory was good? I go past it alot and should pop in. Need to stock up on singlets/spencers for the girls. I am so happy that you got some well deserved "you" time. Even if it took 3 years for you to want it. I think there comes a time in all our lives when we need this..even a short break is enough. Make sure you make more time for yourself, refresh and recharge! Both my kids have been in childcare since they were 14 mths old and you know what - they have never caught gastro or anything else severe. Chelsea very rarely had a day off due to illness and neither has Marley. Both have had the odd cold here and there but nothing serious. Yet you here of some kids who are sick constantly who never go to childcare. I think both my kids have a great immune system (like me!), which I am thankful for every day!! Oscar will probably be one of those kids too. And if the childcare centre is nice and clean and follows strict hygiene procedures, then the spread of anything should be minimised. He and Marley are from the same pod! I seem to have more devil than angel lately lol!! I love sunbleached, curly hair! It really suits him, can't imagine him with a "proper" haircut.

Tali - I think Facebook has taken over our lives lol!!!! I spend so much time on there. Addicted to a new game, Word Twist and of course Lexulous. We are getting the pool surfaced with a new product called Quartzon which is super smooth like really fine sand in Ice Blue (really pale blue with flecks of darker blue and grey). It will be a salt water pool, with a chlorinator. Our final tree in the backyard was chopped down last week, mainly due to bees living in it. Now we don't have to worry about the leaves dropping in and we only have the flax plants on one side which don't drop leaves. There are so many things to think about when putting in a pool. And yes, definitely solar heated!!! I think thats a must for Melb weather and hopefully we get an extra couple of months use. We also have a gas heated spa at the end of the pool so that will be used in winter. I am getting so excited about it starting. You are so amazing being able to move so often and just take it in your stride. I am happy that you have found somewhere to settle, you must be relieved to know where you are going. I don't know much about Mackay, is it near the beach? What a bonus being able to see DH more and not having to spend money on flights...#4 might come sooner than you think now Marley does not shut up ALL DAY! She even talks in her sleep. You should be super proud of being a mum to a 9 and 6 year old - you look amazing!! How did Zayden go at the drs? Hope all good news for him.

Busy week so far. Helping out at the mothers day stall at school on Friday then us mums are treating ourselves to lunch. We purchased all the gifts this year for the stall so we are guaranteed to get something nice this year. All the gifts are really lovely and a bit improvement on last year.

What's everyones plans for mothers day? We don't do much as I don't have a mum and DH's family are pretty low key with everything. Will probably just be me, DH and the kids but not sure if he has anything planned.

Take care everyone and hugs to you all.

Mackay!! I know a loty about it as Dad was born there and I still have my family living up there, so if you want to know anything, just ask... Some info though about Mackay!!
Mackay is found on the east coast of Queensland and is 970 kilometres north of Brisbane and has a population of about 143,000 people.

By the Pioneer River, Mackay experiences maximum temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 11 degrees Celsius and is considered a great place to come for its tropical weather for most of the year.

OMG Jess any info you can get me would be great... I only have driven though Mackay as its normally our 1st stop from Cairns to Melb... I know where it is, I know its warm but not as humid as Cairns, I know it has beaches but thats about it...

If you ( or you family ) could find out where the " good " and " bad " parts are and which are the better schools to go to, as we need a really good school for Zay one that can deal with him beening below average for his age... I would love to live near the beach... Plus if you could let me know what type of shops they have, I have tried to Google, but it only comes up with 2 major shopping centres ( which I take is all they have ) but it doesnt tell me what is in them... I just really need to know if it have the big 3 ( big W K mart and Target ) a spotlight would be handy too ... but just that general type of stuff, like Hospital doctors dentist....

What ever you know would be great... I guess I will soon find out anyway... BHL only just said to me today never in a million years did he ever think we would end up in Mackay...

Mel, Zayden has mild ADD so at this stage doesnt need any meds but just needs to learn how to sit still and consertrate to whats happening around him, the school already having him in extra math and english class's to help him catch up... when we move we are going to demand that he stays in year 3 and NOT go up to year 4 ( as he should be in QLD) but with all the info we have and testing he has done I dont think that will be a issue, but we will be looking for a school that has a good english program and special help class's..

BHL has always wanted a SPA lucky we are moving or he might have just invited himself around for a dip, we had friends in Cairns who had the best set up with their spa the had a TV ( with foxtal connected ) and a bar fridge with in a easy arm streach away... once their kids were in bed they would sit, drink and watch their show while in the spa...

    Well said Tali!

    Happy Mothers Day everyone.

Would love to hear the interesting pressies everyone got - esp the ones the kids bought or made. They are usually the best ones.

I got some candles, photo frame and note pad from Chelsea (mothers day stall at school, which a group of us purchased all the gifts so we knew we would get something nice lol!)

Marley made me a candle holder at day care.

DH with the help of Chelsea got me new pjs, dressing gown and donna hay mag subscription (which he does every year).

DH went to McDonald's this morning and bought me hotcakes and the girls bought it to me in bed. Very cute! Then me, DH and the girls went to Jells Park for a picnic, which was wonderful. A late atea at MIL, then home for toasted cheese sandwiches.

Back to making my own brekkie tomorrow

    Wow, what a great day!
    Thanks for the sms, Mel
My MD was a let down, barely salvaged only by an impromptu visit to MiL (whilst walking dogs on the way to the supermarket for food for dinner that DP was going to cook when I absolved myself of dinner plans) We had stew at her place and I watched the first half of Bones...which I had planned to watch since I saw the promo on Friday! Mmmmmmmmm...David Boreanz could be a newsreader and I'd watch his news reports So, that's been the highlight of my day. No brekky in bed cos there were no ingredients in the house.
Hope everyone had a much better day than mine!

    Good afternoon

Had quite a nice Mothers' Day. I received a Whipper Snipper!!!! (as requested LOL I maintain the lawns around here... the majority of the time).... can't wait to get out there and do the edges!

Thankyou for the sms too Mel Good to hear you had a lovely day too. I agree, child-made gifts are the best. Wade made me a lovely drawing... and it was given with so much affection... I pray that he never loses his ability to display affection... Verity has gone a bit arms-distance with her outward displays of affection over the past few years But she has been better since returning from camp. I made her a home-coming cake and put it in her room to find when she returned (a safe place from the boys as well!)... I think she knows how much we missed her.

Went to Doncaster shopping centre for the first time since their renovations on Sunday too (with Wade and Verity on the new Smart Bus)... was the closest place that sold the AFL jumper Wade wants for AusKick. Was easy to get there so if Mel/Maya ever want to meet up there let me know.... bit closer than coming all the way over to my place.

Off to read Amanda's thread HERE before I better log off and get some work done!

Bath you are so up with the technology!!!! Twittering. Is it fun? I know about it, but have no idea how it works. Fill us in? How is the whipper snipper going? I bet your edges are extra neat now. I haven't been to Doncaster for years. Would love to catch up there on day. Wade sounds like Chelsea, loves to cuddle and say I love you Mum. I have to work a bit harder with Marley!

Maya - how is your David Boreanz fascination going??? Watching tapes episodes of Bones all day lol!!! Sorry to hear your Mothers Day wasn't what you expected. DP has a bit of sucking up to do

We went to our first Holy Communion on Sunday for a friend of Chelsea's. It was beautiful although some of the parents did go a bit overboard with their daughters. I think simple but pretty is the way to go - not the beauty pagent look! It was such a great service and Chelsea's friend actually sang a solo and did an amazing job - we were all dabbing at our eyes. We decided to leave Marley with MIL as she wouldn't have lasted very long at church - patience is not her strong point at the moment.

Pool still not started - about 2 weeks away, hopefully! I just want to get it started.

Still no real action on the TT front. I am getting a bit frustated with it, she is nearly 3 and not really doing anything on the toilet/potty. Any suggestions?

How is everyone - long time between posts again.
