Thanks Tali, its always nice to get confirmation that you are doing the right thing. Having never experienced this before, its often hard to know what to do!!! Apart from I find that if Marley has a full belly, she is much better. Someone suggested that she might suffer from low blood sugar, and gets cranky. Who knows but I might mention it to dr next time I am there (which is not often thankfully!!).

We ran a christmas stall at school today, the kids loved it and we had lots of lovely little gifts that the kids could buy for their parents, grandparents, siblings etc. Two of the mums made these beautiful embossed candles, they sold like hot cakes at only $2 each. I bought 4 to give as gifts to Marley's carers at creche. One of the teachers bought 25 of them, one for each of her students which we all thought was such a lovely gesture. Many of them had religious type symbols, being a catholic school and they sold very well.

Been searching the net for inspiration for presents, so far only found a great place that sells hair clips (a fetish of mine, we have squillions!). Better keep at it!

Oh, Mel, I agree with Tali! You are doing all you can do, really. Just be available for her to melt down to. Doesn't matter what the looks on other people's faces say, they all KNOW what this is like! I figure that when Oscar melts down I may as well be there to pick up the pieces when he's done. bugger, gotta go again...

Rory- i hope you arefeeling ok after your d&c, i cant imagine what you are going through but you alwasy find a positive outlook on things.
Mel- ive had bitting incidents too and they friggen HURT!!
talk about getting embarrassed in public, i deal with episodes almost every time we are out in public.
The latest was yesterday. Nixon had a sleep over at nanny & poppys and we decided to meet in the city to see the xmas caves at DJ's.
i caught train in with Ty, mum with Nix and my sister with her 2 girls.
Nixon really doesnt do well in big crowds and noisy environments, i dont know why i pushin myself and still try and do these things.
Nix had a few meltdowns, dealt with them, the biggest one come walking through the QVB going back to the trains, we had to go up escilators, Nix was holding my hand and i needed him to hold his aunties hand cause i had to take Ty with the pram up there wasnt enough room.
my mum with 1neice were already on their way up.
just asmy sister went to walk on Nix cracked it, i watched hopelessly whilst already heading up with the pram.... she was trying to hold neice 2 hand plus a slumped Nixon.
a random lady end up taking neice 2 hand and bringing her up, Nixon screamed the place down and halted the escalator cue...... everyone starred ofcourse..... all i could do was smile.... otherwise i'd cry.....
anyway Nixon's OT report has come back, he has a sensory processing disorder (SPD) and a sensory motor based disorder of "Dyspraxia"
still learning about it all and he starts OT in Jan.

I'd be worried if you weren't, Rors - spending time at every point in the spectrum of emotion is ok, being static at just one point is maladaptive You WILL make another beautiful child when everything converges to make it right.
Had a very successful inspection day today...would be surprised if nothing came of the three offers we'll be presented with tomorrow evening...
Oscar had a bad dream the other night that I jumped in a river with crocodiles to look for Tallarah (!!), then his bottom lip quavered at the same time as his voice (as he was telling me about it, upon waking, so that he was still sleepy and had his arms around Tallarah) as he uttered "...my baby sister" - I just wanted to eat him up whole! I'm glad he's a sibling now, like the other Junies

Maya dont make me cry, that is just about the cutest thing ever, you better save me a piece coz I could just eat both you children, too cute...

Nic glad you are getting some answers as once you know what the problems are you can work on helping him though them, just sometimes has to be a hard long road to get there Zayden has a mild form of ADD, which among other things if he is made to make a decion ( even if its what flavor ice cream do you want) a melt down can happen, even now that he is almost 10, he will be come so upset with hime self because he cant decide that he will walk out without anything and then just be sad, its easier on him if we just go in and choose for him...

Rory, when you are ready I am sure you will get your 3rd buddle of love

well its Christmas eve here at our house, as we will be leaving for Cairns at 3 am on the real Christmas day, so it was either tonight ( tomorrow is the only day BHL has off until christmas day ) or when we get back...

the winkies are very hyped, even Kai this year which is very exciting, she can bearly sit still, poor Zayden has already asked why today has been the longest day ever, which I so remember always thinking when I was a child...

Tali - just noticed your new av!!! How cute. I hope you all have a wonderful xmas eve tonight. Doesn't matter when you do it as long as you do it together.

Maya - Oscar is little cutie, that is so sweet. Wonder where he got that dream from? They dream such strange things. I'm sure some days Chelsea wishes she wasn't a sibling lol!!!! Marley can treat her quite poorly sometimes. Good luck with the offers, you must be sick of having people trasping through your house every weekend! Thanks for your affirmation too. We haven't had any repeats of that behaviour since, and I hope we don't!

Nic - yes they do hurt lol!!!! Sorry to hear its happened to you to. Was beginning to think I was the only one. You were lucky someone decided to help, most people just give you the look and watch. And you are right, smile or you cry! There are times I just want to crawl into a hole with things she does. Glad you at least have a diagnosis, but often those big words sound scary and confusing. Take your time, read up and ask lots of questions of your OT. It will be learning curve for you as well as Nixon.

Rory - let the tears flow as freely as the smiles do. And I hope we don't see too many more posts at 5am!

Still not organised for christmas yet!!! Getting there, but still more to get. Monday night is the night. MIL will look after the kids while DH and I do the marathon shop. When will I learn lol!!!

Only 1 more work day and I am off for 4 weeks - YEAH!!! It will be nice to wake up on Monday morning and not have to get Chelsea ready for school and I think she is glad to have finished too. They get so tired by the end of the year.

Hope everyones xmas shopping is going better than mine
