Thinking of you Maya  watching my phone... keeping it charged... no pressure of course... bubba could be another week away... just thought I'd let you know you're in my thoughts.

Thinking of you Maya  watching my phone... keeping it charged... no pressure of course... bubba could be another week away... just thought I'd let you know you're in my thoughts.
Thanks, Bath! No news and no movement, this kid's in for the long haul...feeling like a permanent state now...
Nic - cakes look awesome! You are very clever.
Bath - yes checked out the pics and was really disappointed I couldn't come. Definitely next time, even if I have to take the day off.
Ali - sorry I missed the catch up. Sounds like you and Bath had a great time though. Time difference must be hard, esp for the kids. Hope you managed to get through the mountain of washing (I hate unpacking!!). Have you started your book yet? It's fantastic, I couldn't put it down. Still have to get the sequel which sounds even better.
Maya - I think we should start some guesses on what you are having, weight etc. Might pass the time for you lol!
My guess is a girl, born Wed 14th (my wedding anniversary and Ty's birthday too!!!) in the wee hours of the morning (4.30am), 8lb 3oz.
Ok have to be quick but here is my guess...
I too think pink! so it will be late thursday night or very early Friday morning... size will be 3.5 kg.... GL Maya xx
My guess: Just to be different: A blue bundle arriving Saturday close to midnight and weighing 8 pounds even. :stork-boy:
Julian has said that it's alright to have the baby on his birthday the 15th, he doesn't mind at all.
Good luck Maya and sending out positive vibes to you and bubs.
Oh and for what it's worth I think it's a boy as well, even though I want to say pink, I believe it's blue.
Happy Birthday to Julian!!
and happy birthday to my big 2yr old boy Tyron for yesterday! The poor thing had to go to the docs on his bday and has tonsilitis, ear infection and gunky eye..... considering all that you wouldnt even know he was sick he is such a trooper. it was only cause tues night he had a bit of a temp and i got a looksi in his mouth and was horrified when i seen his tonsils were huge and red and pussy.
have any of your 3yr olds put on an injury yet?? Not sure what happened with nixon but this wood peic of his door fell down and after that nixon stopped using his left arm... he wasnt complaining that it was sore anything but would not use it, i was trying all sorts of things and gave him a lolly pop and asked him to take it with that hand, he picked up his left hand with his right.....
so i took him to the doctors, hesaid his shoulders felt good, had good circulation, seen him slightly move his fingers so didnt think anywhere was broken..... all night still wouldnt use it but i did catch him in the shower pick up this little cup with his left and he looked at me and put it down........
when he went to bed i told him the majic fairy was coming to wave her wand over Nixon's arm and fix it.... he woke through the night saying "my hand" so i thought for sure we would be back at the docs, then when we got up and started doing Tyrons presents it was majically fixed!! he said "the fairy came and fixed my hand" "my hand is working" and has been fine ever since!!
Maya - im gonna say ub will arrive in the wee hours of Sunday morning 18/10/09 say 346am and weighing 8lb 4oz
Happy Birthday to our Junies' little brothers this week!!
Still no go - thought it would happen yesterday after 3 hours of dilating...ah, well, nothing for it except to head out today to Baby Bunting (Oscar's car seat) with the family because when we thought it was go time DP didn't go to work...and started his leave, doh! Will contemplate acupuncture for tomorrow (don't have to wait till creche day if DP is home and now MiL is home from holidays!). I'm a bit dejected now after yesterday's hopefulness! I didn't post about it anywhere else, though and I only told the midwife and GF who's attending the birth...so us two went to the movies, instead :)
Nic - Oscar has only 'put on' injury insofar as going out in sympathy with me for my pelvis, and it's better as soon as he has his own version of my thigh pillow. Yesterday I thought he was doing the same with his belly cos he kept saying it was sore...only, I had NEVER said my belly was sore, I was just breathing peacefully through the tightenings! Turns out, by evening, he went for a poo and it seemed as if his belly HAD been dealing with something. He's very creative, so I guess it's only a matter of time before he pulls a Nixon! Had to chuckle, though, reading about the fairy ;)
More news when this baby decides we're worthy of meeting...
Congratulations Maya ...
what a inspriation you are to all of us...
enjoy your babymoon, dont forget about us junie's now ;)... wish I was close to have a looks see...
Congratulations has also had to be said for our little junie on becoming a Big Brother, well done Oscar, I know you will become a very loving and caring big brother to your new little sister...
Congratulations Maya!!! I was soooo thrilled to receive your sms today! Instant smile on face! now REST and enjoy your babymoon... you only get ONE per baby! Once you start to return to normal everyone will expect you to carry on as normal... don't go there too soon! ;)
Oh and Tali! you WERE very close in your guess too! Well done :)
welcome baby Tallarah!! thats a very pretty name i like it! and she did decide to arrive of Julian's 1st birthday!
Thanks girls, it's been so wonderful to read everyone's messages here, in the BA (my goodness, Bath, I got teary!!) and on FB (I haven't made any announcements there, and probably won't till Sunday - don't know why, but decided to set some limits on that platform).
I reckon Tali was on the money! I sure as hell didn't want to wait till tonight, and turns out I didn't have to.
Tallarah is a quiet little being...and wouldn't she want to be? There is no point trying to compete with the likes of her big brother, she can just be herself :) I have my work cut out for me - raising a boy and now a girl to be feminists ;)
And, yes, I was thinking today that she DID come on Julian's birthday, after all!
Birth story coming soon - shouldn't be too long a story!
A wonderfully written birthstory Maya! So much to be proud of  I suspect that Tallarah may continue to be a little more reserved and cautious than your DS ;) It kinda happens that way that siblings are very different. Wade and Niall are so very different as you know. The trick (and often the hard thing) is to accept their different ways. Sometimes I wish that Niall was more reflective and cautious like Wade and sometimes I wish Wade could be a little braver and outspoken like Niall... all for my own convenience of course  It's easier to parent the child that is more similar to yourself... well in the early years... a different story when they are teens, as I am learning!!! So looking forward to getting to know little Tallarah! :)
Amanda: I'm in the mood to do an avvy... send me through your requests... you did mention that you would like an update?
Mel and Maya: yours are sent in now and in the queue for uploading.
Rory: congratulations once again! :D Can't wait for another few weeks to pass so that I can add a bump to your avvy too!
I take it I have miss a big announcement Rory, so congratulations on you 3rd baby...
Bath I would love another Avvy if your up for it... I was thinking this time just me, and maybe a green tree frog in there somewhere  Oh and please keep my hair blonde even though I am red ATM but I know soon enough I will go back to been blonde ;)
Not much really happening on my end of the world, same old same old really, Kai is loving the kindy program that she is doing, its only 1 day a week but she love the time away from me, which is biter sweet... been up here she is meant to be starting school in 2011, still not quite prepared for that, think she is too young, but the cut off up here is the 30th of june, not april like melb, so we might just have to go with that and see how she goes...
other than that like I said not much, its not been 10mths and still no luck getting UTD, but this month I have stopped trying, no longer on the TTC thread, dont chart, would even know where I am in my cycle, and dont really care either, I am not going back on the pill just yet dont see the point as we dont seam to concive very well, plus I am not too sure if I am quite ready to stop all chance completly, but not TTC either iykwim, if its meant to be it will be... otherwise I am quite happy with the 3 happy and healthy winkies I have got... and at times thay are all I think I could ever cope with ;)..
Maya I hope your milk is settling down and your getting to enjoy your babymoon
Just popping through
A little belated but congrats maya on the birth of your healthy baby girl- love the name too, I taught a Tallarah and she was the most gentle soul. I hope you are enjoying your babymoon.
Congrats Rory- I am crossing my fingers I will be joining you shortly as we have now started TTC #3
Tali- Sorry that it is taking some time getting UTD, hopefully a more relaxed approach is just what you need, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Bath- I finished reading The Declaration, it was awesome. It took me a little bit of time to actualley get into it, but once I was I couldnt put it down, it is one of those books you just keep wanting to know what happens next. Certainly puts a whole new perspective on parenting and motherhood though- I really cant imagaine exchanging my right to be a mother with anything.
Anyway better dash, off to work today. I hope everyone is well!
Did I miss something - Rory pregnant!!!! That's fantastic news.
Maya - how are things going with you and your little bundle of joy - milk still flowing like a fountain lol!!! I remember the first time we met, we had coffee at Gloria Jeans at Knox and you went to feed Oscar and this huge stream of milk flew across the table lol!! I have been loving the pictures on FB, she is just so serene.
I can totally relate to what Bath is saying about sibling being total opposites. I have one quiet, reserved and very polite child and one crazy, outgoing and loud child!!! They couldn't be more opposite and managing their differences is so challenging somtimes. But they are how they are for a reason and I just have to learn to adapt to it.
Tali - its so hard to imagine our Junie babies at school! Marley will start in 2012 which thankfully still feels like a lifetime away.
Ali - you'll have to read the next instalment of The Declaration (can't recall the name at the moment but Bath will know). I think they gave a preview of it at the end of the book.
Chelsea's school is having a Twilight Market tonight and thankfully the sun is shining!!! It has taken alot of organising but I am looking forward to it. Hopefully we get loads of people coming and make it a really successful event for the school.
Better go as I am leaving work early today to finish the set up for this afternoon.
Hi to everyone, hope you are all well! :)
Just a quick one here too... I've been such a good Domestic Duty Do-er today! Washing, vacuuming, sifting through the vacuum bag for pieces of Lego wearing a surgical mask... the lot!
Tali: would love to do another avvy for you... I'll work on it tonight.
Mel: LOL I didn't know that about the boobie milk at Gloria Jeans! :D Very impressive Maya!
Ali: The sequel to The Declaration is The Resistance. It's a bit more horrific with a more complex plot but I was equally entralled by it.
Amanda: Keep an eye out for your new avvy update too... it's been sent in for uploading.
Maya: off to FB to check out your piccys of Tallarah now :D
Maya: just noticed that your avvy is uploaded.... hope you are still in FULL Babymoon mode.... don't you dare "come back" to normality too early... it get's very tiring once you have more than one child! *zips up her bossy boots*
Great news, Rory!!
Mel - glad the market went well last night. Did you get the CFA on board in the end?
Bath - my avvy is so ace! I got such a surprise to log on and see it!
Tallarah is ace and Oscar is loving her - he came back from Kindergym today and asked to 'hold her', which I think just means lying next to her stroking her face, he's so sweet with her and loves to call her 'my sister'. He opened some cards for me yesterday and said "oh, wow, a book for my sister"!
I wanted babymoon to last for at least a week (which is short, I know, but there is social pressure to get out and about...more on that next) and I haven't left the house yet, T still hasn't had to get into the car and I'm just working on getting to know her and falling in love with her :) That said, tonight we've been invited to a dinner at my girlfriend's (just up the road) for her DSD's going away do and tomorrow night we're supposed to go to a 40th birthday in the next town. I'd rather go to my GF's if I had to choose one, and even then, I'm not inclined to go. I just feel it's too soon (and she understands, she was here for the birth) and definitely too soon to take a newborn to a raucous 40th with peering faces, loud music etc. Had T been born a week sooner, then MAYBE, but it will only have been just over a week by tomorrow and I don't want to thrust her into the world yet, particularly because tomorrow night's company is not quite my favourite ATM (the clique I managed to step away from last year and feel better for it). Tonight's company is wonderful, but just too soon for getting out and about - it's MY time.
My parents are coming this weekend - I have to let them hold her or I'll never live down the barbed comments from my mother. Not a biggie, I'll just 'intuit' that she needs frequent feeding or changing if she makes any noise ;) Actually, if she DOES make noise, then she needs me - that's what a week of having her in arms has taught me! And, boy, does she love the slings!
Well, Ali and Tali TTC, and Rory UTD and we're all still hanging out in Junies - you guys are my little comfort zone  I don't have many of them, either ;)
OK, better go watch Buffy (this DVD is due back next week and there's another 3 discs to go!
Maya - love your new avvy, forgot to mention that before. I love how you are just relaxing in the bath. CFA did come last night, they were so fantastic. They arrived at 4pm and didn't leave until after 7. I don't think the truck was empty of kids until it actually left. It was a huge hit!! They let the kids sit inside, on the back, pull out the hoses and one of the guys put his breathing gear on (scared some of the kids witless!!!) and sounded like Darth Vader :D There was 4 volunteers and they were all so friendly and I think they enjoyed themselves too. One of the stall holders did massage and I saw a CFA guy (a rather cute one LOL!!) go in and get a quick massage! We also had a lady there from a company called Warbotanicals, they are based in Warburton. Beautiful natural products, bought some cream for Marley called Itchy and Scratchy!!
Oscar sounds like her is adapting the role of big brother very well. He is a very sweet boy.
If you don't feel ready to head out then you stay put girl! Like Bath said as both of us zip up our bossy boots lol! Friends should understand and you don't get this time over again. Any new pics yet? Will need to see a steady stream of them now ;)
Look after yourself and that beautiful tribe
Maya I LOVE your Avvy, Bath you do a great job, Amazing  I can almost always tell when someone has a bath avvy, you seem to be able to squeeze just that little bit more into to them that make them pop...
Maya I am so glad the Oscar is been a great big brother, knew he wouldnt be anything else... so cute to watch them bond with there new siblings, now see didnt we tell you that you always will find room in your heart for you new children, bet in a few weeks you wont even remember what it was like with just one... I have loved seeing the photos Tallarah is just the sweetest little thing ever, makes me just too clucky... cluk cluk cluk
Mel, glad everything went well for you yesterday, and the weather was nice... sound like it was a great night...
Bath you know you really are making me look bad, I dont know how you even have time to make that cake today... it looked quite hard, on the show... but also very yummy, let me know how it tastes, and if it was really that hard, never knew I might try it myself one of these days... BTW where did you get the recipe ?
Ali good luck with your own TTC journey, I hope it doesnt take you too long...
Tali: Awww shucks :) thanks about the nice avvy comments... I have to say it helps that I generally only do them for members i feel connected to :) The recipe wasn't all that hard... the trickiest bit was assembling it... spreading the lemon curd was very tricky. The recipe has now been loaded onto the Masterchef site. Although i think the way they have written it could have been clearer :(
Hi all - embie is still sticking - 5 weeks today :)
Maya hope babymoon is travelling well !!
Must go because I am in the middle of packing for our trip to Bright - 5 days with the boys! YAY! Speak next week :)
Yay for the sticky baby, Rory! Hope you have a great weekend up in the mountains :) I thought I'd missed Ollie's birthday, but no...he's an end of the month kidlet! Can't believe he's gonna be 2 already.
Bath - thank you so much for the card! Oscar opened it and exclaimed "A book for my sister!" - he's being so cute with her.
Mel - you get in your pool today after work?
I had a great day today. We were going to go to Mt Martha and come back in time for the photographer who was doing our family shots pre and post pregnancy, but she emailed to say she'd be earlier (but I didn't get the email and she was on our doorstep before we could leave, luckily!) and we ended up not having to rush back from our aunt visit/beach day (DP's aunt lives down there) and it worked out well. I ended up realising a vision I had for a photo of Tallarah curled up in the seat of a saddle I have at home (keep meaning to clean it up and list it on eBay...so it's just been sitting behind a chair in the loungeroom!), so I can't wait to see the proofs. Susan Darcy is a wonderful photographer and builds a great rapport :) We'll be back at Mt Martha on the weekend, as it turns out, so maybe I'll get a swim in next time (I was wearing Tallarah and she was fast asleep today).
I just love how well Oscar is getting on with T's arrival. I got out of the shower today and there she was, cradled on his lap on the bed with a very proud big brother smile on his face...a melting moment for sure.
There is no real comparison between the two. It was hard with Osc, not just as a first, but with the feeding and colic issues, as well as Oscar's insistence on being awake for large chunks of the day! T seems to know that life will be there when she's ready and is a very phlegmatic baby.
Hey, now I'm like all of you chicks - I have an eldest child! Life is good (apart from the crappy bits that are not baby-related!!) and I'm enjoying my newest little person, even though I thought I didn't want to 'do' newborn again...ha!
Better get ready for bed (even though DP made me a yummy iced coffee...we'll see how that affects me)...xxx
Oh Maya, that is so sweet. I can imagine Oscar sitting on the bed cuddling her!!! Stop telling stories like that, gets my cluckiness going lol! Photo idea sounds amazing, did you manage to get her curled up on it? Tallarah sounds like a very relaxed, chilled out baby (just like her mumma!!) but it seems indicative of being a second child. They just seem to go with the flow. Didn't have time to swim yesterday as I had to go out, but the kids were in it and not wanting to get out. Even the lure of food wouldn't get them out!!! When you are ready for a trip down, come over and chill out with me and then I can sneak some of those beautiful newborn cuddles. Marley would love to hang out with Oscar.
Rory - well done Rory, I'm sure he/she will keep sticking nice and tight in there. Have fun in Bright.
Pool is certainly getting a workout now the weather is improving but the girls seem to want to use it regardless of the weather - they are like fish!! Yesterday the pool temp got up to 27 and even just dangling my feet in, was beautiful. DH got goggles for Marley as she is always trying to steal Chelsea's. She looks hysterical!! I will try and get a pic and put it on facebook. Trying to get them out is another issue. They get given plenty of warning that it will be time to get out but Marley throws a wobbly when she has to actually get out. I'm sure she will start getting the message soon enough. It so lovely and relaxing just sitting on the deck watching them play. I'm really looking forward to summer now and relaxing at home with them over the holidays.
Enjoy the unofficial long weekend Melbourne girls, and if you like a flutter on Cup Day, hope you have a win!
Amanda's new avvy is up, yet another master piece Bath well done
Maya things are sounding so wonderful at your place about now, congratulations on sticking to your guns and having the babymoon you wanted...
Mel glad you girls are loving the pool, we have the winkies in swimming class, Kai;s first time  she is loving it, for someone who didnt like the water is now fast becomming a water baby like the other 2 have always been... she too has googles boy O boy does she look funny...
well lets see, I found out my sister after 2 yrs of TTC and finding out she has a blocked tube and pcos, that she is UTD  she is now 6 weeks, keep telling her to join BB, plus she would be in your belly buddy group Rory... so very happy for her...
we have decided not to TTC anymore, so now I just have to tell my heart that there will be no more... I find myself looking down at my belly every now and then and thinking ther will never again be a life growing inside me, its a very sad thought... but something I will have to learn to live with...
which will be hard when my sisters all start to have there children, but something that was always going to happen seeing as I had mine so young and they have all waited until later in life to start their familys, I guess in someways it good that I wont be in the same state, so that I dont have to be reminded all the time...
gee that sounds so selfish ...
Hi girls, thought I would have missed some posts but I haven't missed anything lol!!! Where is everyone????
Chelsea and Marley had their baptism last Sunday and it went beautifully (apart from Marley not letting me take any photos and not happy about having her hair wet!!!). The pool was finished in time and was full of kids Sunday afternoon. Most were in there for over 4 hours, barely getting out to eat! Everyone had a wonderful time which was great and the girls got some amazing presents. They both got a pandora bracelet each, which was amazing. They look so cute and now family can buy extra charms for them for christmas. It was a such a warm day, but the food was excellent (thanks for my BF Mal, who used to be a chef!) and everyone commented to him how beautiful it was. Their outfits were perfect and they both looked adorable. I put some pics on facebook but Marley refused to let me take any photos of her, so I have none with her godparents and I didn't really take any at the party.
My other BF Michelle was here from Brisbane with her DD. It was so much fun having her here, apart from Marley and her DD fighting! They screamed at each other like banshees!!! It was hard not to laugh. We went to the aquarium which was fantastic for anyone that hasn't been before. She went home on Saturday afternoon so the house is a little quiet and I always miss her when she has gone.
Back to work on Tuesday but enjoyed the week off. Weather was fantastic and the pool has been getting a workout. The kids are in it nearly everyday and night - the dusk swims are the best. Pool temp has been 30 nearly every day.
Hi to everyone, hope you are all well!
I've been meaning to reply to our thread but end up running out of time...if I can get near the computer at all!
Tallarah has been sick (I have a boo hoo in the Plat thread) and that's why I'm up - she's only just nodded off after being up nearly every hour with her snuffliness.
Mel - I wanted to call you this week for a catch up (while she's still technically a newborn, for newborn cuddles!) but we've been so lurgied that I decided against social visits this week for everyone's sake :( So, I'll sms you soon to organise something! A week with your GF sounds like it's too short! Aquarium is on my list of things to do with Oscar before too long - he enjoyed the zoo last week before his cold got the better of him and he got too tired for any more. The baptism sounds like it was really lovely - will have to trawl FB for pics cos I can't imagine M all dolled up!
T is asleep and wheezing away (like Mr Snuffleupagus), so I better get back to bed for as long as I have left to catch up on sleep... :(
Maya - sorry to hear Tallarah has been unwell, how is she today. Nothing worse than hearing a newborn sniffle. When she is better, I want those newborn cuddles before she gets too big!!! The zoo is heaps of fun but can be a long day, the aquarium wasn't too big and so nice on a hot day and plenty to see (and up close too). Miss M scrubbed up well - but the smiles didn't last long. How are you and Oscar feeling? I am home on Monday and Wed after 11am. So please pop down for a visit - tell Oscar to bring his togs!
OMG its been weeks between posts!
Rory- congratulations on baking bubba 3 thats fantastic! how are you feeling?
Bath- a very very overdue thank you for my new avater, again its fantastic, and wow i love Maya's new one too!
just quickly as i am headed to bed. Nix had an OT assessment on Monday, still waiting for the full assesment report but he has a "sensory processing disorder" still getting my head around what its all about and reading a book called "The out of sync child"
he isstill waiting for the big diagnostic assesment which i missed a call from today a cancellation spot come up for the 15th dec, i rang back 1 1/2hrs later when i got the msg and they had rung someone else.... i was soo annoyed i didnt get a chance to call back and they had moved on!
still dealing with the day to say struggles with him, however he had his preschool xmas concert today and did SO WELL! he was a "cheeky monkey" and stood on stage and did all the dance moves!!
Hey Nic, glad you are getting some answers with Nixon. I am feeling well, though very tired. My symptoms are stronger with this pg than the last two (boobs tender, nausea is quite common) so some say I might be having a girl this time but I have a fear of twins! (I have heard the symptoms with twins can be quite pronounced). Fingers crossed its a singleton LOL!
Better go - prepping for Ollie's party tomorrow- I am off to make the WW train cake - wish me luck!!
Hey great party Rory!!! My boys' eyes popped out of their heads when they saw the train cake! You did so well catering for all those people! Someone counted 20 kids ALONE and most seemed to have both parents with them... the woodfired vegie and chicken pizzas were GREAT! Mick's done a brilliant job on the garden since i was last around too. Such a cute little bump you have there too m'lady ;) Can I start work on your avvy update???
Sorry i have MIA lately girls. Last two weeks we've had modem issues here at home... kept me off the puter for a few consecutive days... probably a good thing actually.
Maya: how's Tallarah? All better now, I saw on FB that she was still suffering from respiratory infections due to inconsiderate (ill) visitors grrrr! And how are things coming along with your house (not sure if you have mentioned in here in BB... although i have just come straight to this page... haven't read back).
Mel: (and jobsearch update) LOL I could be doing your job at Melbourne Uni!!! The minister at church asked me today if I might be interested in an office admin job at the Theological Dept. the hours are school hours AND there is a direct bus route from Wade's school pretty much to the door of the uni offices!!! My minister also lectures, I believe. I'm not sure i could handle processing accounts... but I'll have a good look at the job descritpion when she obtains one for me. Also being close to Elizabeth Street in the CBD I'll be able to tram it in to have the occassional lunch with DH... that would be great :)
Better go back and see what I have missed....
Nic: Hmmm... "The Out Of Sync Child" sounds interesting... I know you are probably feeling very worried about this initial diagnosis but I find that ultimately it's good to know... and eventually you settle down and kinda learn to live with it. Bit like my thyroid disease... I was in denial at first, then worried to death... now it's more like "oh well, so be it... it could be worse... so many people live with illness... maybe it won't turn out as bad as I think... we live in fortunate times and a fortunate place here in Australia". So i hope the worry isn't getting to you too much
Nic - as the others have said, at least you know what the problem is and hopefully find a solution that works for Nixon. I'm sure you'll be doing plenty of reading on the subject. Gotta love the xmas concerts, they usually bring a smile to everyone's face.
Rory - glad the party went well and what a perfect day you had for it. Hope you are going to load some pics on FB? Twins always scared me too - as they run in DH's family alot. When are you going for your scan? Put your poor mind at ease.
Bath - that job sounds perfect, almost made for you! Thankfully I don't process accounts, that is all handled centrally. I just stick to the student admin side which I love. Fingers crossed for you.
I had Maya over for lunch recently and it was so lovely to have those newborn cuddles I was wanting!!! Tallarah is just divine and Marley was quite fascinated with her and particularly when it came time for feeding. Marley asked Maya "why is she eating your boobs"!!! It was hilarious! Oscar and Marley enjoyed some time in the pool, even though it wasn't overly hot. Oscar is like a seal, plunging into the pool and spending so much time underwater, he is amazing. I do have some pics from my camera, and if its ok with you Maya, I will put them on my FB? She is too cute not to show off!
Better race and get Chelsea from school - hope everyone else is well and I would love to know how everyone is going with their xmas shopping (mine is not done!!!)
Just back from an interview with an employment recruiter... might be able to do a few short courses through them to improve my admin skills :)
Mel and Maya: Yes! i'd love to see some piccies! I can just imagine Oscar the Seal!!! He MUST show Niall his tricks one day! Poor Niall has never put his head under water for more than a second (when he accidentally slips in the bath)... I must do something about that this summer. Now that Wade has had a term of swimming lessons i might feel a bit more confident taking them both to the pool.
Rory: If it's any consolation when I was briefly pregnant with twins i felt "flat on the couch" sick with nausea before my period was due! It was very intense... very different (for me) to being preg with singletons.... apparently I was growing two placentas. I'm looking forward to hearing the result of your scan if you are going to have one :)
Niall had his first pram free trip into the city today. DH had lunch with him and Verity (who bunked off school because she didn't want to do belly dancing LOL I appreciated her help as DH struggles to take Niall to the toilet sometimes unless he can find a parenting room). She has now gone to pick up Wade from school... so she has earned LOTS of Brownie points today! Oh and it was so liberating not to have to worry about ramps and lifts for the pram today... I think i will always be clucky... but this realisation that there can be a life post pram is helping me move on! I wish i could have worn Niall for longer... I miss that too... but this wretched thyroid of mine put an early end to that sadly. Can't wait to see a snug little Tallarah in your HAB Maya!
ETA: Chrissy shopping bascially done... I just can't help picking up the odd thing here and there though... am loving the Oxfam free trade store in the city for gifts this year!
I was driving today thinking I needed to post in here again, and voila! Mel's beaten me to it!
Nic - whilst it's not ideal, it sounds like you've got a game plan forming and that's gotta make life infinitely easier.
Rory - sounds like it was a great day yesterday! I nearly cursed that I didn't go because just as I was ready to leave for my riding club lunch Tallarah threw up an entire feed (after a coughing fit made her gag :( ) and I started all over again (minus the potato salad making, I had that sorted) and got there after most people had eaten...sigh! Anyway, I really am sorry for myself that I had a clash of events, cos that cake sounds awesome :)
Bath - The job sounds really exciting! And right in your element, too - intelligent people, subject matter you can engage with, in the city...so, tell us when you get it!!
Mel - I don't mind at all - I have no doubt that T will be a camera tart like Oscar ;) Oscar really does seem as much at ease on land as in water - I reckon I'll try the local pool on a hot day soon, cos I won't have to worry about him AND give T some water time. Your pool is just so beautiful, like the rest of your home! We had a fantastic afternoon and Oscar fell asleep before the end of Orange St...and STAYED asleep for the rest of the night!! He kept talking about Chelsea and Marley the next day - he really gets along so well with girls (and seems to have an 'older girl' thing...hmmm...). Marley is such a cute little clown - a clotheshorse clown, girl after my own heart, he he! Thanks so much for a fantastic afternoon and scrummy lunch :) Oh, I got home and realised I left the muslins behind :( What a dummy!
I think a Melb Junie catch up is in order for Jan again. What do you think?
Oscar has been sensitive this week and melting down when denied arbitrary requests. I know why, though - he's been sidelined for the whole week and has watched back to back DVD's in order for us to get done what we needed for this Open house thing. Now that the first one is over with he can have my attention back - I have felt so bad at the end of the day but we were really under the pump, on top of Tallarah's cold, my damaged nipples (it's thrush! Confirmed today, explains why the cracks weren't healing) and Oscar manifesting the neglect. We had 2 offers, it became one and the other one fell through on finance :( We've got some other interested people coming through before this Saturday's open, so it would be nice to have to only go through one more Open. Hoping, also, to do a drive out West Gippy way to look at properties on Saturday adn then the real estate agent can take separate appointments through all day long (we had to vacate home again on Sat cos someone came back with her partner). Exciting times. What a year.
OK girls, I need some opinions. Yesterday I started showing a bit of light brown "streaking" after the loo and one or two small (fingernial size) brown streaky clots. I used a pad and nothing, but this morning there is enough brown to go thru my undies. I am just after 10 weeks, so logically I know t could be breakthrough bleeding. Should I call the Mercy? I don't really see the point because if its a m/c there's nothing I can do, right? and it could just be nothing, right? Fingers crossed its all ok....
Rory, hmmm, not really sure... i never had breakthrough or any other kind of bleeding after conception. Do you still feel nauseous? When i had my blighted ovum (discovered at around 10 weeks) one of the first symptoms was lessening nausea. Maybe you should call the hospy and see if they will give you a scan a bit early? Goodluck!
Rors, call them and see them if they ask you to go - the worst that can happen is that what's gonna happen will happen anyway or not and if they think it's something they'll run some tests to confirm. Fingers crossed it's just breakthrough, babe
Thanks girls - stranegly there has been nothing since I posted - pad shows zilch! I rang the hospital and they said to come in if concerned but to just "take it easy" and that is could be normal. As for symptoms my nausea is getting stronger if anything (if you recall I was largely nausea-free with the boys!). I do have a bit of come what may attitude about it but I would be still disappointed to miscarry. I know going to hossy will mean lots of waiting around and if it will happen it will happen (either way :)) but thanks for the support girls :)
Rory - how are things today? Sorry I wouldn't know what to do in that situation, having never experienced anything like that with either pregnancy.
Bath - pics are uploaded. Be prepared to gush over little Tallarah, she is beautiful!!! How nice are pram free days. I love it, not having to find a lift or escalator that can take a pram. The trip takes a bit longer but if you are not in a hurry, then definitely worth it. Verity sounds like she earned her brownie points, nice to have a helper around. Well done on the christmas shopping and we have an Oxfam shop at our local shopping centre now, might have to check it out. Heard anymore from the recruitment agency?
Maya - how is Tallarah and her sniffles? It was lovely to have you over, will definitely do it again (while you are still around). Oscar is so good in the water, hopefully Tallarah will take after him in that area. Two water babies! Chelsea thought Oscar was hilarious, she enjoys being the oldest in a group. I still have the muslins, I can either give them to you next time I see you or I can post them. My clotheshorse clown is getting worse! She changes her clothes is she spills a drop of water on them, and she just rips everything out of her draws trying to find what she is looking for...drives me nuts  Jan catch up would be fantastic. How's the thrush now? Hopefully not giving you anymore pain now you know what it is. Had anymore people through the house? It must be hard trying to keep everything in order, just in case someone wants to come around. Good luck with your road trip, hope you find just what you are looking for.
Took Marley to see The Wiggles on Monday, it was fantastic. I loved it, Marley loved it and so did my SIL and my niece. Such energy, lots of singing, lots of dancing and it was a big top theme so they had clowns, juggler, acrobats. Marley danced her way through the show and waved so many times I thought her hand was going to fall off. We had excellent seats and I would definitely go again. Been absolutely flat out at work, its always crazy at this time of year with new applicants. Lots of christmas parties and they still aren't over yet!!! But on the plus side only 5 more work days until the holidays and then I have a month off
Christmas shopping still not done. DH and I are going to do it all in one night. Will ask MIL to watch the girls and just get it done. I don't want to have to venture back to the shops again after that, its already crazy.
Happy shopping!
