Hey Charly - any sign of the connect 4 piece??!
Oh dragonstorm!!you are SO funny!! Love your posts!! I was going to pull out some of the stuff you said to comment but then realised, I agree with everything you said!
ah too funny!!
Hey Charly - any sign of the connect 4 piece??!
Nope!and still can't find the darn thing anywhere!!
We did have a worry on the weekend as we had to take DD#1 to hospital with severe gut pain and vomiting
..... just looks like it was a bug, maybe gastro? but it was only top end......
so MumofLewis, the mystery deepens......
P.S. Celsie.....it looks like it may be safe to come play after all![]()
Oh Charly that would be driving me batty not knowing where that piece is. I bet one of the girls stashed it somewhere "safe". Caeleb's always hiding his spoons and forks in his secret hiding spot down the side of his high chair.
I've just averted a Christmas disaster. Tate has been busy (working like a dog more like it!) getting the area ready for the play equipment for Caeleb's Christmas present. He's cleared the area, had 8 X 1 metre holes dug, filled them up with concrete and a 3 metre wooden poles, painted them and is about to put the shade sails on them this weekend. He's also putting up the swing set that I'd put on lay-by in July. Tate picked it up a few weeks ago. I hadn't even looked at it. I assumed all was okay. WRONG! It was the wrong one! They'd put the wrong one on lay-by for me. So, I took it back. No worries, got my money back. Problem is, no-one has any swings sets left!!! Argh!!! Luckily though, I called Hills and they had them. So, I have a courier on his way to get it for me. Saves me a few hours of driving and Caeleb will get his swing set for Christmas as planned. Phew!!!
My bump has finally made an appearance. I don't look like I've been eating too much pizza anymore! LOL And I can eat again which is nice.
This baby is so different to Caeleb. Caeleb was a little fire cracker from the 1st time I felt him move till... well, he still is. Never sits still for a minute. Always has ants in his pants. This one doesn't seem to kick anywhere near as much. Maybe I'm just too busy to notice...
Tina - I have to asked... how are your bits?!? ROFL - Mine are all swollen are sore ALREADY! I swear this didn't happen till much later the first time around. They never looked the same after having Caeleb... so I can only imagine what I'm going to see after this one is going to be born *shudders*.
Okay, now I've grossed you all out... I'll go! LOL
Hi all
Celsie - we all have some terrible mummy moments. Gosh, i am guilty of many. Thankfully, they are getting less these days, but, i have thrown some wobblies in my time, and spent days after blaming myself, and so hard on myself for the way i had reacted. I guess its all normal.
That play area that Tate is building sounds great thou.. I am sure it will be all worth the long days and hard work. I am glad you found the right swing set. What a pain.
Not much happening here. Aiden having a lovely day sleep at the moment. Has had a few rough ones this week, its so nice for him to actually be having a good sleep. He should sleep well tonight then.
Still not looking preg.. except for my bb's! I have put on about 5 or 6 kgs so far, (trying to be good this time around, after putting on 18kg with Aiden) and, I reckon most of that weight is in my bb's. And my butt.... Oh well, its all for a good cause, but, it would be nice to have a bump, and to actually look pregnant.
I guess all the kids are the same atm.. but, isnt it amazing how they can go from being little 'adults' almost, seeming mature, placid etc, easy going, and being like that for days, lulling you into a false sense of security.. that.. wow, you are in control, things are going great.. and then.. for no apparent reason.. BANG! suddenly this screaming tantraum throwing child is grizzling at your feet. We have had some wonderfull weeks, but, the last few days seem to have gone backwards.. hopefully, so far, today has been great. We had a meetup at a very child friendly park near the city, and it was lovely to be able to relax and chat to the other mums, knowing that the fences where keeping the little ones in. It was small area, and Aiden played happy as, not needing me at all, and it was great to see that independance develope.
Well, Charly, hope you find your puzzle peice..... it will show up, it always does, just a matter of timing really, most likely when you are looking for something else..
Hope you are all well,
xx
Debbie - Can't agree more, it's so nice going to a park that is fenced in. There are plenty near me that aren't and I spend all the time chasing him around.
So do you find if Aiden sleeps well in the day he sleeps well at night too? I've often wonderd that myself.
Lewis is starting to say a few more things like 'what's that' and what's this' to everything. He also says 'key' when we are ready to go out (which is a good reminder to me!) And when you ask him where's his nose, eyes etc he will point, although often to the wrong place. Yesterday I asked him where's your Thomas book and he pointed to his face
I have been temping this month so am unofficially in the 2ww. I say unofficially because my temps aren't that accurate because Lewis wakes up at different times each day. Anyway Christmas day would be day 28 so watch this space.....
Ooooh Celsie forgot all about the lovely side effects of being preggers.
Sarah, def, if Aiden has a good day sleep, he sleeps wonderfully over night. Yesterday, after the park, he slept for 3 hours solid. I did give him a dream feed about 30min in, as, i knew he hadnt had anything substancial to eat, and i didnt want him waking up grumpy and hungry after only an hour.
Last night, other then waking just before midnight cause he couldnt find his dummy, i havent heard a peep, where as the previous 2 nights, where his day sleeps where only about 45min, he was wide awake at 4am, and i was leaving him to play in his cot till he went back to sleep about 2hours later, and still, he was awake again at 7, and grumpy as anything for the rest of the day.
You would think it would be the other way around, no day sleep, better night sleep, but, they need to feel rested and content sorta i guess.
Anyway - best of luck. I hope you get a BFP soon!! How long did it take you with Lewis?
it took 20 months last time with IVF etc. This time I'm trying TCM and acupuncture instead, so who knows...![]()
Good luck Sarah!!!![]()
that was going to be my next step as well.
Best of luck!
Hi everyone
Been a bit quiet here recently... Hope everyone is doing well and not getting too stressed out with Christmas shopping and stuff.
Well, I think I win the bad mummy award for the year: DH put Diana on the potty on Saturday and then called out to me in a very surprised voice "why is Diana wearing no nappy?". I went to check, and sure enough, she didn't have one. I know that she didn't take it off herself, so the only explanation is that I forgot to put one on her when I dressed her in the morning. Doh! I have no idea how I could have done that. To Diana's credit, she didn't wee or poo during her nappy free morning.
Debbie - Diana is the same - the better she sleeps during the day the better she sleeps at night and vice versa if she doesn't get a decent nap during the day.
Sarah - good luck with TTC.
Hi to everyone else. I will try to post again tomorrow.
Starfish - awww you're not a bad mummy!!Diana maybe is just showing you she's ready for TT......."Well mummy didn't put that big white thing on me this morning so hey! I'll just hold it in!"
Oh my parents did that once but they actually got out the house to their destination before they realised upon picking their little one up that, ooh, no nappy at all!! Thank goodness for packed nappy bags!! Lol!
Sorry been MIA too....DH & I have been holed up in our bedroom .... tmi warning ..... vomiting both ends!!Thank goodness for MIL!! She's an angel for sure! Stayed the night and everything. Our little ones are fine thank goodness although on Sunday, DD#2 vomited all over me! She was sitting on my lap facing me and so had no where to go except me! but that's all she did so we thought that maybe she ate too much breakfast too fast and then skulled her milk too fast and then ran around too soon (now there's a bad mummy moment!
) and so I bore the fruit (and weetbix) of consequence....ewwwwww. But DH & I had temps, aches, the lot so
Anyways, we're coming good to make that last mad dash to the christmas finish line now! Eeeep!
Seriously though, DD#2 shovels like a coal train!! We're trying to teach her to slow down but I swear she thinks the food will disappear if she doesn't keep it comin'!!DD#2 has also become an even bigger copy cat. She will immediately copy what her big sister does, good or bad
Pegs wooden blocks straight at her head........maybe hold off on coming round to play Celsie whilst I tame my bull dozer! *blush*
oh................No game piece![]()
Charly - sorry to hear that you have been sick. Thank goodness for MIL hey. I guess they come in useful from time to time. Hope you are all fit and healthy for christmas! Maybe Santa will bring a new puzzle peice..
Zofia - we all have moments of blankness.. especially if we're tired. You know that "i will just do that in a minute' and next thing you know, 1/2hr later and its completly out of our minds.. Good on Diana for holding it all in thou.
Aiden didnt have a sleep at all on Tuesday, we had to go to our 19week scan, so, after playgroup, i took Aiden to MIL's, he fell asleep in teh car as expected about 3min from her house, but, the moment he realised he wasnt going into his own bed, he woke up.. So, i left him, in the hope he would be so tired, he would go back to sleep, but, no such luck. We had a bad Tuesday night, it took me an hour of driving him yesterday to get him to fall asleep (after spending nearly an hour of him being a tired screaming hysterical mess trying to get him to sleep in his cot) only, to have him wake up again after being asleep for about 20min. Slightly better last night, and hopefully, will get him to have a proper day sleep today. Its surprising how quickly we get used to a full nights sleep.
I dont know what i will do know when Bubba #2 comes along. The original plan was for MIL to take time off work, and have Aiden during the day, while i was in hospital, and DH to take time off work when i get home from hospital (he's a subby, so he doesnt get paid if he doesnt work) However, if Aiden wont have a day sleep while at MIL's house, he will be a mess. He will be almost 2, but, i am sure still needing a day sleep. I am thinking that MIL will have to be my house, instead of Aiden being at her house, so that he goes to sleep in his own bed.. Just another thing for me to worry about..
Anyway, he's just about finished his breakfast, apparently, he's hungry today, a bottle, a peice of toast, and a banana. Normally, its a bottle and about 1/2 if that of the toast..
Catch up with you all later..
xx
Hi girls!
Debbie. How long are you planning on staying at hospital? I came home the next day (Ethan was born at home then went to the hospital at 1130pm for stitches)... and so no need to care for Ashley elsewhere.
She is the same wont sleep at anyones house. doesnt even like to be left at anyones house.
willbe interesting to see how FDC goes in janurary!
Sorry i have been MIA a lot girls... you know how is could be with 2 bubs under 18 months... can you believe ethan is now 10 weeks!!! omg
Ashley is a real cheeky monkey now. Very smart that i cant fool her.. we ar ein the process of toliet training . she recognises when she needs to pee and poo and occasionally we get it in the toliet lol.
today in the backyard we had nudie time and she started topee - pointed at her vajayjay and then looked at me and went pwoah (this is her word and she waved her hnad into fron of her nose lol)... hehe.
starfish. it sounds like she is getting ready for tt. easpeically if she is holdin on for a hour or two!! Ashley is the same and doesnt like nappys on atm hehe. Luckily she hasnt worked out how to get the snapped cloth nappies off! lol the velcro yes but not the snap!
we bought undies and i let her wear them occasionally but she pees everywhere !lol sick of mopping hehe.
well better go Ethan is waking... (he hasnt pooed in 3 days... so waiting for the explosion)
mwah
Hey PP fancy those Hewitts pinching Ethans middle name!![]()
I actually feel really sorry for them. I've seen articles calling them "Copy Cats" for choosing a name that the Beckhams have already used. Why shouldn't they use it. They can have any name in the world they like!!! At least it's a nice name!!! I don't think it would have mattered what name they picked... celebrity's always get slammed no matter what when it comes to their kids.
Anyway...
Having a somewhat lazy day today. Really tired. I've baked a batch of gingerbread biscuits... and that's about it. Waiting for DH to get home and take Caeleb for a walk before I attempt another batch. It's too hard keeping an eye on him and baking. I've literally made 100's of the damn things. Christmas presents for friends and relatives. I did it last year and everyone loved them. Seemed like such a good idea at the time...
How is everyone else going with their Christmas preparations?
lol i know!!! who cares about posh and becks!
they could have asked me! lol
but i agree celsie.. is it really that bad to have 3 cruz's in this world? (4 if you count our late puppy)
posh & becks....pfft! I completely understand the feelings of celebrities getting slammed though.....happened to me...............we named DD#2 "Chloe", next minute, Carmella (character from neighbours) pops out her "Chloe"! I mean really! The cheek of it all!
Christmas presents bought and all accounted for ............ ahhh whooopeeeeeee!! Dh & I had to drag ourselves about today (dropped kidlets off to MIL) coz it was really our last opportunity to get it done. But we conquered!! And bless Mr Rudd......we have our first bbq!!![]()
Now to finalise the menu.........
Celsie - oh you're so sweet!Yes, those things we do and think, "How great!!" But you're so lovely to do it again!! Sounds more cost effective too!
