It is hard isnt it, and it sucks they dont come with a manual, or even guidelines!!
I have tried Lactogen formula last night, mil came over and grabbed some saying how much it helped dp's sister's little one (she a member of bb amym) when he seemed to feed all the time. Well i know your not supposed to assume anything after one feed but i would have thought i would have seen SOME difference, but nothing, and he still had another feed 2hrs later!! Im using up the bottles of s26 ive already made up (1 left) before i give the lactogen a proper go. Spoke to Rick about it last night and said if this doesnt work, will with a thickner a go, and if that doesnt work we can put it down to him being hungry and def going through a growth spurt.
I cant believe how quickly i can get annoyed at Lachlan, just mainly in the mornings, even if he has had a good 6-8hr sleep. I told him to shut up serveral times this morning, not that he was crying but he was whinging, grunting, moaning and groaning, like he normally does, nothing was wrong thats just how he is sometimes. In the end i put him to bed awake and went outside (with the monitor) and had a coffee to calm down.
Then i get massive guilt feelings about what i did, even though i know i did the right thing by putting him down (in a safe place) and walking away, its not his fault, he just prob so over tired as last few days he hasnt slept much, he caught up on some sleep yesterday but not enough, I shouldnt get so angry and annoyed at him and i hate the fact i feel like this, he sleeps 6-8hrs at night so i dont know what im really complaining about either. (although he will wake or stirr a couple of times).
I know its normal for me to get annoyed with lack of sleep and fustration at not knowing what to do, but it still doesnt make me feel anybetter.
I sent Rick a msg when he left for work this morning, as he got annoyed at me too this morning as he was running late and blamed me (long story about his sleeping patterns), normally i dont let it affect me and he will always appologise when he's realised what he done, but knowing he had no credit left on his ph, i knew he couldnt reply and loved the thought he had to stew on it for a bit.
I wrote: Your angry, Lachlan angry, both at me, you should have let me go when i was going to go the other day, you both would be happier without me as i cant seem to do anything right by either of you!
I felt better as soon as i sent it, knowing its not true. Rick annoyed at the fact he was late and not at me, and Lachlan annoyed at being over tired and not at me. Im doing the best i can, and they are both better off for having me here.
I wish i could believe that all the time though.
ok vent over lol
Princess: it does seem awkward, but if she is sleeping then it cant be that bad. I doubt anything bad will become of it, babies are often resiliant (sp?) and can sleep in the worst looking positions without any after effect. The only place i could get Lachlan to sleep yesterday was in his swing while it was swinging, he slept in there for all of his sleep yesterday, and his head kinda on an angle, but i figure, if it get sore he knows how to move, and he did, changing his head position a few times, waking up having a stretch and going back to sleep. So i dont think there any health problems related to this, unless they slept like this for a yr or so lol
But will be interested in what others have to say
Apparently they grow out of reflux around 3months!!
I agree Infants friend doesnt seem to do anything neither does gripe water, but i have heard others swear by them, so i think its individual cases iykwim
