Nell - welcome to this thread. Diana is two days older than Brianna. I introduced her to bottles of EBM when she was about two weeks old. She took to it with no problems. I used a TommeeTippee bottle and teat. Now I use Pur self-sterilising bottles and teats and also have an Avent bottle and teat. Diana gets about 2 bottles of EBM a day and the rest comes directly from the breast. I'm not sure what advice to give you if Brianna is not taking a bottle - maybe use a different teat, and give her heaps of encouragement (I think that even at this age they understand our tone)... Hope you both work it out. It kind of sucks when you can't get any 'me' time. Although I spend all my 'me' time doing housework and other chores...

I'm M.J and my beautiful baby girl Bella was born on 16th June - 18 hours labour then an emergency c-section! I also live in a rural area with family 800km away. I do have a wonderful supportive partner, that helps, he is a god sent!!!

Bella is sleeping for 2 lots of 6 hours at night and is BF, she is thriving and I feel blessed to have her. I just wanted to say hi to you all and keep in touch with other bubbies born the same time - look foward to speaking to you all

Your little princess Bella, was born on the same day as my little prince Caeleb. :) He's also breastfed, sleeps for 2 X 6 hours and is thriving. LOL - Maybe it's got something to do with the date they were born on?!? LOL What did she weigh? How long was she?

Thanks for the info on teats, bottles, encouragement etc. DD was 6lb 9oz and 8 days late. She was kind to her mum with head cir only 33cm (lucky me):D. She's stacking on the pounds and sitting currently in the 90th percentile range for her age (8wks and 3 days).

Induced as doc thought bub had IUGR. Oxytocin drip in at 8am - mild contractions til about 12ish. Spent the arvo rocking on a fitball and headed to birthing room for the second stage of labour which lasted 1 1/2 hours. Birth was fantastic - so different to what I imagined. I hung out on all fours slumped over my friend the fitball with DH feeding me water (I drank heaps). Couldn't get into the shower or bath as monitored all the way through. The experience was so positive and honestly not as painful as I was expecting. During the transition phase DH was asking how painful contractions were - I kept saying "oh maybe a 5!" I somehow thought things would get heaps worse. I think my pain threshold is quite high!

Does anyone find that bub is unsettled on weekends or times that DH or DP is home? Weekends are unsettled for us as DD finds it different to our weekdays when it's just the two of us. DH is upset that she is like this.

nellnell - sounds like you had a really positive labour experience. A lot of the girls here had horror labour stories... :(

I can't say that Caeleb is "unsettled" as such when DH is home. It is different though from when it's just us two. DH keeps him awake longer than I like, but I understand that he misses him like crazy during the day and just wants to spend time with him, so I let it slide. LOL - Caeleb misses his Dad too, he gives him lots of huge gummy smiles and coos at him constantly when he gets home. Aww... :)

We decided from the start that it would be DH's job to give Caeleb his bath at night, read him a book and put him to bed, so he can have "Daddy and Me time" with Caeleb. This seems to benefit both of them and they both really enjoy their time together. Does your DH have jobs that only he does for her?

Hi there and welcome nellnell and M.J i am kinda new aswell i have been around but just not able to get online real often with an 7 week 6 day old and a 3 year old so i havnt been able to really bond with anyone and make friendships...which makes me feel like an intruder lol.

I noticed the updates on some of your bubbas and wanted to put in Ashlyns...

Oh, Rylansmum! Never ever feel like an intruder. Everyone is welcome here, no matter how much or how little the post. We're all busy Mum's, so we understand that posting on BB is sometimes the very last thing that you've got time for. :)

Thank you for the comment about Rylans name i fell in love with it as soon as i saw it and i am so glad im not the only one who thinks my babies are beautiful..i am biased :p

I was considering Caleb (different spelling obviously) for Ashlyn if she was a boy but DP best friends' son is Caleb so it was out and we found out we were having a girl lol..your Caeleb is beautiful the photos were absoultely gorgeous..i want to get some portraits done like that of my 2 but Rylan and Ashlyn have been sick for the last month and Ashlyn has a rash all over her face which i think is excema (sp?) so i havnt been able to get them done.

How has Caeleb been sleeping? I think i might be a lucky one as Ashlyn has started sleeping through..Rylan was the same!! I am having a nice relaxing night atm DP has gone to see John Butler Trio (bastard) and both the kids are sleeping...ahhhh me time!!

Celsie - about jobs just for DH. I love your idea about DH having a 'job' or some kind of routine thing to help out. We share most things but I think I may suggest the routine thing to allow DH and DD to spend some quality time together. I suppose it opens up a little 'me' time as well. :D

Rylansmum - hello and welcome. Brianna wasn't born with a birthmark but developed what they call a strawberry mark on her bottom. It is only small, but red and raised. Apparently these marks are supposed to disappear by about 2 yrs of age. Ashlyns loveheart sounds gorgeous.
Must say I'm jeolous your DP has gone to see John Butler Trio. I'm listening to Josh Pyke at the moment on 'Sunrise'. His album is fantastic!

Brianna is asleep in my lap - had a frustrating weekend as she only wanted to catnap during the day. Nights are fine as she usually goes to bed at 7-8pm, wakes for a feed anywhere from 1am-3, then either sleeps through to 6am or wakes for another feed between the 1 and 6am feed. I consider getting up once to twice pretty decent compared to what some others deal with. Are your bubs sleeping during the day? Catnapping? Can you get anything done? I was hoping to go back to the gym soon but Brianna needs to be able to sleep for about an hour during the morning for me to be able to do this.

Dh's jobs with Ashley are her bath (or shower - yes the bath never eventuated! lol so to the shower we go!!!).... and he also does the 6am-8am shift before work ! So when she wakes up, plays with her and changes nappy etc and tries to get her back into a nap before he leaves for work so i can have a litle sleep! :)

Rylansmum - we went and saw JBT about 5 years ago in brisbane! it was a great concert! Actually i had no idea who it was lol but obviously since he became more popular i did! lol.

Well we had the best night in weeks last night. I had a killer headache and thought oh no!!!
BUt then put ashley to bed about 630pm and she slept till 3am!!! oooh!!, changed and fed her then she slept from 330 to 7am!.... bliss!!! hopefully it will happen more often..

AND NO DREAM FEED last night!

PrincessMya - Glad to hear you had a fantastic night. I really makes a difference!

What are you guys calling a dream feed? Is it when bub closes eyes, concentrates and goes back to bed like a superstar?

I find that if Brianna feeds like this, it doesn't have any impact on the length of time she sleeps. She can be fussy and sleep for 2hours or 6hours. She can feed like a dream then still be wanting a feed in another hour. No rhyme or reason

I usually put ashley to bed at 630 then about 930 i lay her next to me while she is still asleep and place my nipple near her mouth, after a few seconds she latches on without waking up then she falls asleep on the breast when finished and i put her back to bed. So she doesnt really wake up at all.

Usually if i dont she wakes at 12am for a feed but if i do usually 2am.... but last night i went to sleep without doing it! ::P

Nellnell - I was totally jealous aswell, but i made him buy me a shirt lol small conselation prize...he said it was an awesome concert though.

Ashlyn never sleeps long through the day maybe half hour an hour max, it is so frustrating and if she does happen to fall asleep her big brother Rylan wakes her up just about every time!! I usually give up trying to get stuff done or just let her cry until its done...going back and forth calming her down of course lol

Ashlyn has started sleeping through though she may fall asleep between 7-9pm and not wake till 5am some nights she will have a top up (i guess its a dream feed cause she doesnt wake up) around 3am then sleeps till 7-8ish so i can deal with a crappy day routine well lack of lol

DP doesnt have any 'jobs' but he will either take over with the kids when he gets home and ill do dinner etc or he will tidy up and start dinner...if i am dealing with Ashlyn he will get Rylan organised for bed etc so im lucky.

I gave up with the gym lol

Just went out for a long walk as today feels like spring. It is just devine being able to get out into the great outdoors when the weather is fantastic. Walks take longer now though, but I suppose pushing the pram up hills is a bit of strength training for the legs. Hope the good weather hangs around for a while so I can start the fitness program. Welcome M.J and Nell Nell. Nell Nell, sounds like you had a great induced labour, mine was pretty horrific the contractions were really severe about an our after the syntocin and just got worse and worse. Ended up with a c/s in the end aswell. But good to hear a nice labour story.

Also regarding catnaps, Lewis hasn't slept in the day for the last few days, just a few cat naps and yes it is really hard to get things done isn't it. His biggest sleep is around 7pm-11pm, then similar to Brianna, he wakes about 4am then 6am etc.

M.J sounds like you have great sleep patterns going on and you Rylans Mum and Celsie!

I caught laryngitis last week so had to wear a mask to feed Lewis and couldn't talk to him, it was really frustrating. I'm all better now.

Anyway I will catch up with everyone's photos soon and post some more on mine too. Lewis's hair is growing back now on top, so he doesn't look quite like an old man anymore!!

Rylansmum - Caeleb is a really good sleeper. He goes down between 7 and 9pm and usually doesn't wake up again till 2 - 3am. He has a quick feed, burp and change and is straight back down again and won't wake up till about 7am for his next feed. I'm so jealous that Ashlyn sleeps through the night! What a clever little bubba!

nellnell - Let me know what you and DH decide on for "jobs for Dad". DH adores his one on one time with his bubba boy, as he misses him like crazy during the day. As far as catnapping goes, do you own a sling or a baby carrier? Caeleb was a little unsettled during his 3pm nap today, so I got him up and put him in the Baby Bjorn carrier and continued on bringing in the washing etc, while he slept. :)

PrincessMya - Woo hoo for Ashley's long sleep! :dance: It's so nice to get a big block of sleep huh!!! Does Ashley have any problems with wind from her dream feeds? That's been the main issue that's put me off trying it with Caeleb. He's become so good with getting his wind up and not having lower wind pain, I'm too scared that dream feeding will send us backward, IYKWIM?

MumofLewis - I must say a little woohoo for Lewis too. What a great weight gain! He must feel like carrying around a sack of potatoes now! :lol:

DH is home and is playing with the boy, so time for us to be a family and do tummy time and read a book.

Firstly thank you all for your warm welcomes!!!!

Mumoflewis - I was induced also, it was horrible!! My water broke on the Thursday morning 6am but no contractions (I was already 11 days overdue) hospital told me I had to stay overnight and be induced 8am Friday if nothing had happened by then.

Friday 8am I was induced, my blood pressure went through the roof so I had to have a epidural at 6pm and I about 1 cm dialted! By 8pm I was 4cm and by midnight I was fully dialted and was told to push - I pushed for 2 hours and Bella would not move, so had to have an emergency c-section. I had these grand plans of having a natural as possible birth....but I was not diappointed, it was all for my beautiful baby. 2.44am Bella was born 3980grams or 8 pounds 12 ounces but the birth took its toll, Bella had hyperthermia and her blood sugar levels were low because she uesd all her energy in labour. She was in special care for 4 days - she is 9 weeks now and doing so great! feeding, growing and sleeping sooooo well!

I am loving being a mum for the first time, it means even more as 3 years ago I had a miscarriage, and I can truely say I treasure every second with Bella

Celsie- it is so much easier when they start to get themselves into a routine...I am so lucky she has started to sleep through but i think its because he bloody big brother wont let her sleep through the day lol....It has been a rough begining though she had a terrible cold and she couldnt breathe while she was asleep..i could actually hear her stop...it was so scary. Then she would throw up just about every feed because she had so much crap in her nose and throat she couldnt bring it up when she coughed and it made her gag till she was sick...so i didnt get much sleep even if she was i wasnt lol.

teepee2- I just noticed that our little girls are exactly 1 week apart...thats cool!
Ashlyn is a beautiful girl thank you she is such a sweet natured thing so placid and she is just starting to smile properly...and its so adorable...it is kinda crooked like she has had a stroke lol (not the best description) but one side of her mouth goes up and the other down its so cute.

Mikayla is gorgeous im sorry to hear the troubles you have been having i hope you get something sorted..there is nothing worse than your child being unwell or having issues you cant help them with.

Mumoflewis- I am very lucky to have any pattern with a 3 year old running around yelling and carrying on all day lol but you gotta think Lewis is a bit younger than Ashlyn so maybe he will kick into gear soon because she was still up atleast twice through the night up until she was around 6-7 weeks then all of a sudden she just didnt wake up lol...so touchwood he starts letting you get some sleep soon.

Rylans mum - Yes Lewis is still pretty young to sleep through I know, and I'm sure it will come soon enough. I don't mind the 6am feed at all as it is daylight and the day is beginning, but that 4am one kills me! I've never been a morning person!I think it makes such a difference to my day on whether he even sleeps well during the night as I really like to get out and do something every day, even if it's just a quick walk. It makes me feel more human!

M.J - I ended up having a c/s too after being induced. I found that the recovery was quite hard as you don't get much sleep and rest. It took me a good 3 weeks to feel normal! Mind you it's great when you do feel well again isn't it. You then forget all about it.

I went to my mothers group today for the first time. It made me realise how much I've learnt from this website over the months and how lucky we all are to have this great support network.at our fingertips.;)

How's everyone's weight? I'm just wondering because I lost 8 kilos after the birth which was obviously all the baby and fluid. But I have been eating really well the last 4 weeks and have stopped eating the crap I was eating towards the end of pregnancy (chocolate mainly!) and I'm out walking most days, but I just haven't lost anymore after the initial loss. I still have 8 kilos to go which I know will take months but I'm sick of not fitting into anything apart form trackies and leggings! I'm dying to wear jeans again but am determined not to buy a size bigger or I may never get back into my old ones!!

Have really been aware of the growth spurt times coz she will be completely feral and appear hungry 24/7 and not sleep at all during the day. Actually, have an inkling that there might be another spurt happening because consistently for the past day or so she will wake an hour after falling asleep, grizzle and cry a bit then sleep again. So did an experiment today: I had been leaving her to resettle herself but today she didn't seem like she was going to so I thought I'd try a feed and she took a full one no worries!!!

Does anyone's 'let down' hurt?? This is going to sound completely loopy but seconds before I have let down, which hurts this time - never noticed it with first DD.........but seconds before I get really happy!! Like really happy!! Yes. I am weird. :D But I know that I am about to have let down and so prepare myself!! LOL!! Kooky me huh?!


And Mumoflewis - am hearing you about not wanting to buy bigger sizes!!! Had a tear the other day when we were just going to get out the house for five minutes as a family...........all my pre-pg clothes are those lovely flattering things that are shapely etc. very bad for showing off all lumps and bumps post-pg!! So am living in the same handful of tops and holey jeans and trakky daks.....am looking into getting to the gym but am worried about affecting my bm etc...............anyone have any thoughts on this?? Never been a gym person but am really determined to get myself into shape this time. After DD#1 I hid behind the, "I'm going to have more children soon so there's not much point working too hard on my bod just for it to be re-mooshed!!" Coz as far as things go, there ain't going to be any other munchkins popping out of me!!!!!! (not closing door entirely but it is barely open a hair width!! LOL!!)

Ok.
So that was my 5 minutes of me time, must go attend to DD#1 now.......hehe!!
I really hope that I can keep up with all you lovlies and hopefully my 'bbl' won't be six weeks away!!

Hi all just popping in for a quick one! Haven't had time to catch up on all posts, but from the few I've read, it sounds like we're all getting the hang of our little ones and figuring out what they want and a bit of a routine - yay!

Angus seems to be growing (to me) after his slow start, have just been advised not to let him go more than 4 hrs between feeds during the day and let him do what he likes at night. He tends to wake up at 4am (no matter what time I put him down after 9.30!) but I reckon waking only once at night is pretty good - works for me. He's a lot more interested in interacting with people and his environment now, likes to be sitting up looking at stuff rather than lying down in the bassinet when awake. We're going through a period of having trouble attaching on the L side, and I've got a couple of sore spots that I'm trying to stop developing into mastitis. He's smiling a lot more now too, and we finally have it on camera!

Re gym and weight - now, this is really going to annoy some of you so I apologise in advance.......(ducks head to avoid flying missiles). I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in 11 days and my jeans are now looser than they've ever been as I lost muscle bulk due to lack of exercise during pregnancy. My dr has asked me to eat more to ensure I'm keeping weight on and eating enough to ensure BF still goes ok. I know that is really annoying but there's nothing I can do about it - and believe it or not it does have a down side. I know that the MCH nurse and other people have been looking at me and thinking I've been starving myself or doing too much to try to lose weight and I find that really annoying, as it's just my natural state. I have hardly done any exercise, the most was going for a walk to the gym with my husband the other day (about 5-6km walk) - and Angus and I had a play while he worked out. My shape of course is different and I know there's some clothes of mine that won't suit at present as I've still got spare skin on my tummy and the boobs are now a 10D to DD rather than a B, but I'm glad I packed them away ages ago and am not tempted to get them out again!

Good to hear so many people sounding so positive and alive and enjoying their babies - I know I'm enjoying my lovely boy too.

Teepee - Angus had terrible reflux to start with too, but he has just seemed to start to settle down a bit, fingers crossed. He's a little older than Mikayla, so maybe she will settle a little as well??? I'm hoping she does for you - it's awful isn't it?

Tell me about the weight! I dont come close to fitting into my pre preg clothes yet, i have about 10kg to loose yet. I dont want to buy clothes that will only fit me now and so I am wearning mat clothes still. I was pretty thin before Bella, and I dont expect to go back to that but I am keen to loose at least 5 kgs!

Celsie - suggested bath thing to DH and he was really keen to do something to help out and spend some Q time with DD. I do have a baby bjorn active (expensive but its already paid for itself!) and I use it all the time when DD is unsettled. Thanks for the tip though. :D

Like feathertop I too droped back to pre preg weight 2 weeks after birth, but I was really lucky to only put on 10kg throughout my preg. Mind you it was hard work - I prepared my body for prenancy for at least 6 months prior to TTC so I was in my best physical condition. It's just the way I am - a bit of a perfectionist. I ate well throughout my preg and exercised most days - but gave the gym a miss after 30wks as my back was starting to be a pain. I'm just saying that I'm VERY LUCKY that my body was kind to me. :pray: that it will do the same second time around.

DD is into a bit more of a routine at night now, last feed at about 7pm, then sleeps til 2.30am and not again til 7am. It makes a big difference to the tired factor!

Charleyfrog - Let down is painful at every feed. I haven't felt the happy feeling though. They say that there is a fine line between pleasure and pain. :)

Okay Feathertop and Nell Nell you have just ruined my day!

Its about now that I'm regretting eating for two and baking choc chip muffins weekly whilst waiting for bubs to arrive!:doh:
Oh well there's a few months to go until summer at least so I can hide under big clothes for a while longer yet.....:)

MumofLewis - Ahhhhhhh - sorry, please don't let it ruin your day. My SIL put on about 25kg for both her kids and she works hard to get down to her normal size 10 within the year. Don't punish yourself, just do as much as you can. Now that spring is on its way it will be easier to get out and about. Walking is a great start and not too hard on the body.

I wont even get into the weight conversation - I dont even want to look in the mirror anymore! My belly's gone all soft and floppy - YUK!!!!

Well we went to the paediatrician on Tuesday and he's put Mikayla on Losec for the reflux. He said that we've basically tried everything we can apart from meds so its now time to give them a go. I've had to find a compounding pharmacy to make up a syrup as Losec only comes in tablet form - I picked it up this afternoon and will start giving it to her tonight. She'll have to take it twice a day and although we were told it can take up to 2 weeks to work, friends of ours said they saw an immediate improvement with their DD, so fingers crossed!!!

Feathertop I'm glad to hear Angus' reflux has eased off. You must be so relieved. I really hope the Losec works quickly cause I dont know how much more I can take of having to hold her all day! The vomiting doesnt bother me all that much but once the pain and screaming stops I'll be very happy.

Rylansmum Mikayla's starting to smile too - its amazing how much they change and how quickly. I notice something new every day. She's so alert and has an instant smile when she hears daddy's voice :D

Great to hear from you Charly. Sounds like you've got your hands full but no doubt have everything under control. You are the supermum of our group after all :P

DH is taking me out for dinner tonight so i'd better get organised. I'll catch up with you all later.

Hi everyone, i was also lucky with my pregnancy weight i put on 12kg and im back to my pre-pregnancy weight...not that it was anything great to begin with anyway lol....but i am wearing the same size jeans and pants but some are just a little squeezy around the belly...but i have had to wear different style shirts now.... as you said Teepee2 my belly is all big and floppy aswell.
What is making my life even more difficult is the fact i am bridesmaid in 2 of my best friends weddings one on the 22nd september the second the 20th october so atleast you girls dont have the added pressure of fitting in bridesmaid gowns and then having the photographic proof around forever and ever LOL.

This will be my last post for a while i am going on holidays to Surfers Paradise on saturday woohoo so excited..so hope you girls have a great week and the weather gets warmer so we can all get out there and get back our yummy mummy bodies!!!

Hope you are all doing well.

Diana is having a bit of an unsettled week. She is mostly good during the day, but in the evenings she is hard to put down as she starts sooking and crying almost straight away. Tonight it turned out that she was just hungry, but the other day she would only cry and play with my nipples, and not want to suck. :( Hopefully won't ge having a repeat of that :pray: and these unsettled evenings will improve soon.

She doesn't sleep through the night yet, waking up for a feed at about midnight and another about 3-4am. Still, it's manageadle.

She has also been throwing up a lot recently (after most feeds and in between :( ), so hopefully she is still keeping enough down...

Re my weight - I don't own scales, so I don't know. I fit my pre-preg clothes, although at my 6 week check up I was about 4-5kg over what I imagine my pre pg weight was. I'm trying not to be too concerned.

In 7 1/2 weeks she has stacked on 2.2kg, no wonder she's heavy. :lol:

Just a quickie for me.. sounds like June is the month of reflux babies, as Aiden also Silent Reflux.

Hmmm... so, that explained alot. We tried Mylanta for about a week, and then got the losac. We are going tablet form, as the Paed said you end up with a stronger dose? Anyway, i just disolve the tablet in a medince cup, tip it into a bottle teat (which i made the hole bigger) and he drinks it done no problems..But, by gosh, what a rough 2 weeks we have had.

Have also ummed and arrhed alot about going to ff, but, have made the decision to stick to EBM. And much happier. Have got reflux formula, which he has if i cant produce enough milk, and also have started to put thickener into his ebm bottles to help.

So, i have been coming on every day or so, to read how you girls are going, but, just havent had the chance to post. Between upset baby, mothers groups and all the 6week appointments etc...!

He had his needles yesterday as well, seemed to handle it ok.

My weight - hah! Put on 18kg, and so far have lost 10. I want to get rid of the other 8 before end of October, and then, maybe an extra 5kg before the end of the year.

At the paed

Friday week ago, Aiden slept thru - 9hours, but since then, back to about 6hours, then a feed, and then 3hours.

What time do you lot put your babies to sleep? Aiden goes to bed anywhere between 9 & 10pm. Wakes about 3am for a feed, and then sleeps till about 7.

Oh, the losac kicked in nearly straight away as well. I can tell the difference in his crys when the reflux is getting bad, it changes to more like a grah noise.

It sounds like he's sleeping well. What is his DOB? DD is 9 wks old and for the last week feeds at 7pm, sleeps til 2.30 then again at about 7am.

Wow, it seems everyone's little ones are thriving. Debbie Aiden will be a basketball player for sure measuring 60cm!

Lewis normally goes down around 6pm-7pm and sleeps for about 6 hours waking about 1am, 4am, 6am. However last night he didn't go down until 8.30pm and then only woke at 2.30am and then 6.30am which was great! So I'm going to try and stretch him out to about 8pm now.

His day sleeps are pretty unpredictable, some days he has nice 4 hour sleeps and some days like today he is having none of it!!

He's such a smiler now especially with a full belly of milk! Its great to see a little person developing isn't it!:heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:

Hi all!! Well DH has taken 2&3/4yr old out for a few hours so that leaves me and sleeping DD#2......:confetti: LOL!!!! So thought I'd pop in and say hi and then go sit in the sun before mil arrives...:rolleyes:...apparently she has made DH some desserty thing and wants to see the girls............I just carried them and pushed them out for her!!!!! :doh: Anywhos, not going to let that affect my free time in the sun and with you lovlies!!!

Had yucky news from friend who had her baby last week on Monday - she had to go in for surgery the other day as she had major bleeding and clots as some placenta was left behind!!! Oh my goodness!! Thankfully, after spinal block and emergency curette she seems ok .... how yucky!!!

DD#2 will feed around 10.30pm and then go through for a 6.30am feed BUT!! Fusses and fluffs and snorts around, still asleep mind you, sometimes from around 3am until the feed. Multiple times I will check on her and she will have gone back to sleep for another 15 mins.......but this morning she didn't wake til 5am as she had somehow managed to wet herself up the front.....go figure!! So as I was changing her she was giving me gorgeous smiles and she has also started to pull her arms and legs up as she gives me a massive grin and then makes these oh so cute gurgles and high tone goos and gahs!! Awwwwww!! So I fed her! Lol!!! How could I resist that?!?!?! Hahahaha!!

And it seems as though DD#2 has changed tacks with her reflux......instead of chucking all through her hair when put to bed after keeping her up for ages to ensure she doesn't....so changing outfits and bedding all the time......she now just chucks on me!!! :lol:

It's been lovely actually as she is becoming more interactive as I took her outside after her 9.30am feed this morning - snuggled her in a blanket and chatted with her and sang to her and she has gone down for her nap like a dream!!!! Woohoo!!!.....oops, spoke too soon!

Well, going to soak up some sun, away from the crying and before my other Prince & Princess return!!

Can I just offer a little bit of friendly advice? Dont go to a fancy restaurant with a new baby!!!

DH was lovely enough to take me out to dinner the other night and decided to keep the venue a surprise. Of course we took bubs along because I had no idea where we were going. Well let me tell you that the "Sheraton on The Park" in Sydney is not the most child welcoming of locations. Poor Mikayla was very unsettled and had bad reflux so she screamed the whole time we were there. Everyone in the restaurant kept turning around looking at us and I ended up in the foyer trying to settle her while DH had dinner on his own. I eventually ended up eating mine with bubs in my arms. The food of course was fabulous and I so appreciated the thought and sentiment on DH's part but had I known where we were going I would have left Mikayla at my mums!!!

Can I just ask those whose babies have already had their vaccinations - did you give them panadol before hand?? Mikayla is having her 8 week jabs tomorrow and I've heard that panadol 20mins earlier takes the edge off.

For anyone in Sydney, we are trying to arrange a meet up in mid Sept somewhere in the inner west/st george area (at this stage in Hurstville or Beverly Hills). If anyone here is interested please pop in to this thread for the details September Meet . Would love to meet you if your able to make it.

i gave aiden panadol about an hour before hand. oh, and have a bottle ready if you can to feed mikayla as they get abit upset.

Tina - I gave Caeleb Dymadon (he hates the taste of panadol and spits it out) 1/2 an hour before and every six hours afterwards, because he didn't handle his vaccinations well at all. It did seem to help. Good luck and be brave, I think it's harder on the Mum than it is the child.
