Tanz - are you b/f or f/f your bub. Either way, the girls are right, 6months before solids. I think in the UK, its 4months, and we, depending on how Aiden is going, may start him on Farex at 4months. At 6 months, even if you are exclusively b/f, i think you still need to start introducing solids.
Well, i have had a tough few days. I got mastistis, and, once i had it diagonised, i realised that i have had it before as well. So, i have decided to wean. Not that i really had much of a choice in one way, as they are so sore, i cant express anyway. I had a little cry yesterday, (lots of big crys in pain) but, a little cry, as i said sorry to my little man for not being able to do it anymore. I am so scared that when it clears up, if i keep expressing, I will get it again, and i never want to go thru that pain again. It was and still is horrendous.
I think Aiden had a little growth spurt as well, but, with the reflux, it was abit hard to tell what exactly was upsetting him. The last few days thou, he has settled down nicely again, and once more, my good little boy.
While we are planning on more kids, and having them close together, i have gone on the mini pill, perhaps just till christmas.
Hope you guys are all doign well, mums & bubs, and that you enjoyed your fathers day!
Debbbie you poor thing. Sounds painful. Don't feel guilty about ff, you have given Aiden a great start to life. Which formula are you using? I was using Karicare but he was in pain most nights with wind and only went to the toilet every 2 days and took about half an hour to push the poo out. Anyway I switched to Nan 1 HA gold (didn't want to use nestle but had to) and he has been brilliant ever since. No moaning in pain and goes every day for a poo. So if Aiden has problems in that department I highly recommend the HA Gold!
I think his solid sleeping last week was part of a change in routine, as he is now back to catnapping every few hours in the day whereas a few weeks ago he wasn't sleeping at all! So that's good news for me!
