Sarah - Aiden has started the sucking thing as well. Also starting to grab my tops when i am holding him. Why he only seems to pull the neck parts down to reveal bits when in a room full of blokes is beyond me.
Has Lewis's poo's cleared up? I am womdering if i should change the formula? maybe just nan 1? myabe the gold is to much for him? We fly to Melbourne end of Oct, and am petrified of him doing a big one on the plane!!
I stopped wrapping Aiden at 4 weeks old. He hated it. Its a pain thou sometimes, as his jerking movements will keep waking him back up, but, mostly he's ok, as long as i pick the right moment to put him to bed. He has changed his bedtime to 7pm, but, if he is overtired, then its hopeless getting him to self settle, and i wish i could wrap him, but, if he is happy and tired, he will go to sleep on his on. The last 2 nights when he has woke for a feed, i have feed him in the cot, before he wakes up properly, and he settles back to sleep alot quicker. I am a light sleeper, so generally wake as he is starting to stir, so i whack the bottle in. Last night, he went from 7pm, till 3.30am, a feed, i was back in bed in 15min, and he woke again at 7am. A feed, little play and is asleep again. Now he has settled more onto the new formula, his sleeps are starting to drag out again. When i changed it, he went from a 9hour sleep, back to like 4 maybe 5hours! Slowely, they are getting longer again.

Starfish - how cute for Diana. Aiden found his foot once, but, it was fluke, and DH said AIden got a fright when he grabbed it. Poor bugger is probably to scared to do it again. She is growing well. Aiden was about that weight when he was 60cm. Now, last time i weighed him, at home, he was 7kg, and about 66cm long. He a big boy.

Mackusz - yes, we remember you. Stacy isnt it??? Maybe i am wrong.. your girls are absolutly beautiful. I love the one of your eldest girl feeding Aliyah. They look so cute together. Good luck with the BFP. Let us know how you go.

    Catch you all later!

    Debbie,

My ECN said his poo's are okay. It is just because the formula is hyrolysed to make it easier to digest. He is regular as clockwork now and doesn't have any pains so I'm really happy with it. I do DREAD the moment when someone witnesses the smell though!!!

Debbie - sounds like Aiden is doing very well and is growing like a weed as my grandma says
Jackson is now 60 cm long and 5.6kg when I got him weighed on Tuesday - there were some very small babies waiting to see the nurse and it was amazing to think how big our DS has got in just a small amount of time (he's now doubled his birth weight!!!!)
Starfish - how cool that Diana has found her feet - Jackson rolled over from his tummy to his back on Monday - gave himself a huge fright and now hasn't done it since so I think my DH thinks I made it up!

onto finding cute clothes for little boys - my brother is getting married next May and I really want to find a suit for Jackson - went to Myer in the city and the smallest they have is a size 2 (Jackson will only be 11 months old) anyone know of anywhere in Sydney that make small suits?

Charly Frog - did you have any luck with the ukelele - my MIL bought Jackson a little blue one from Allens Music here in Sydney (since his daddy and uncle both play guitar) and I think they have pink and red as well - let me know if you are still trying to track one down

better go and make some lunch before it gets too late
    hugs to everyone

    Mel,

There is a shop in Marrickville that sells small suits. It is a christening type shop on Marrickvile Rd.
I hired one for an 18 month old from Myer for my wedding. Have you thought about hiring?

Sarah - thanks. I was contemplating changing the formula. But, he is pretty regular. Generally goes every morning, about 6ish, depending on what time he wakes up. So, hopefully, he sticks to that. I use cloth nappies during the day, and sposies at night, so, i keep him in the sposies till he has done it, so, i dont have to worry about having a smelly nappy in the house!

Mel, i would look at hiring. When we hired suits for our wedding, the hire shop had loads of little boys suits as well, and a friend of mine had her little boy in a tux for a wedding they went to, i am sure she would of hired it. If not, if you know a crafty friend, you might be able to get one made.

Oh, big news - Aiden rolled on to his side this morning. He had his sleeping bag still on... i didnt think they where meant to be able to roll with those. So, he was on his back, rolled onto his side, and then back onto his back again. He is starting to grab more stuff on his play gym now, although, i am still wondering how many of them are a fluke, as mostly he doesnt seem to be watching his hand that has hold of the toy. Although, yesterday, he was on my lap, and he grabed hold of my watch, and he was watching what he was doing, so, maybe...

Our little ones are getting so big already!!

Debbie - Those sleeping bags do not stop any determined little munchkin DD#1 worked out how to stand up in the cot in hers when she was old enough and gave me the fright of my life when she rolled over in it for the first time as I was at my mum's and DD was in another room in her portacot. So when I poked my head into check on her and looked to where she was 'supposed' to be, my heart skipped a beat when she wasn't there cheeky nana!!
Wow! Your little one is a big boy - so much more of him to eat all up hey!! LOL!!! DD#2 gives me the biggest grin when I 'eat her' At her last check up a week ago she was 6.6kg and 60cm long. Hilariously enough, she is almost exactly half the weight of her big sister and there is a whole 2&1/2years difference between them!!

Mel_thekiwimum - Haven't had a chance to look for the pink ukelele as yet but will keep you & Teepee2 posted! Thanks ever so much for all your help though!!! DH was very excited to hear of the possibility of the pink ukelele!!

DD#2 has worked out that she can wriggle ALOT!! Trying to put a clean nappy on her is a bit of a laugh atm, as soon as I've tucked the new nappy under her bot, as I am about to fold the nappy up over her, she plants her heels and leaps like a frog backwards up the change table .... over and over and over.......hehe! She also can wriggle around so that she is half on her side and at an angle to what I left her....found her almost at right angles to where I had left her for her nap time the other day!

I feel like she is a poo machine up unil her 5.30/6pm feed and then she can sometimes go right through til her 6.30am feed before it all starts gushing out again! Although, I did change her at 1.30am this morning and then another 3 times between 7 & 8am good grief!! She is now in single 0 bonds outfits and 00 in all other brands - I had to move her up because there just wasn't enough room the super poos in the nappy as the outfit was squashing it too much........almost cut a singlet off the other day rather than trying to negotiate it over her head without spreading poo from here to everywhere!!! Bigger outfits have thus far (fingers crossed) worked a charm!

Must go, DD#1 extraordinarily tired due to late night last night and then just not sleeping for her nap today and DD#2 finding arvo naps highly over rated!!

    Take care all!!

Oh! Picked up a gorgeous piccy frame yesterday - completely impulse buy but it was reduced from $20 to $10......bargain!! It's pink with "cherish" scripted in the corner and then on the bottom half of the frame is the following:

"my precious angel - do you know how much we cherish you?
do you know how we count each overheard giggle,
    each pitter-patter down the hallway,
each moment we get to spend with you as a perfect blessing?"

I'm going to put a piccy of my two girls in there

Charly - Your poo stories are hilarious, I can't believe DD2 has to wear a size bigger clothes to accommodate them!!

Well I must have been bragging a bit too much about Lewis's long night sleeps, because last night he woke every 3 hours! Not sure why, am hoping it is just a short lived phase. He was full of smiles though, obviously very proud of himself!

He has started to try and roll from back to front, but his arm stops him from going all the way. I just bought a sleeping bag today as he has begun kicking the covers off also. He is a real chatterbox now, my MIL taught him to say Ah-Goo and now he says it non stop. I'm sure he would have said it anyway but the MIL needs to take the credit, you know how it is!!

Help! I've just noticed Lewis's top gums, he has 2 white teeth under the gums 3rd from the middle on both sides! Clear as day. Does that mean they are coming through now or can you just see them for a while first? His gums aren't red but he constantly has his fingers in his mouth. I thought the bottom 2 came through first.

Sarah - i thought the bottom 2 came thru first as well, but every kid is different i suppose. Maybe it explains why Lewis didnt sleep as well last night?? I would suggest getting some bonjela and get yourself ready for teething. I am dreading it. I actually checked Aidens bottom gum yesterday, as he was so grumpy, i thought maybe he was starting, but, nothing. I might have a quick look at his top gum.

Charly, the picture frame sounds lovely. I love that little verse. Your girls will look so sweet in it.

Ah the teething fun-ness hey?! Even though all the rusk boxes say that their teeth should come in a certain pattern, they (the teeth) simply pop out when they absolutely feel like it! My friend's little one got her first tooth at 12weeks!!!! Eeek!! The other thing too that I found slightly frustrating with DD#1 is that although I could see the tooth clear as day beneath the gums, it took weeks for a particular tooth to pop through...one of her molars actually cut through and then receded and then pushed through some more, needless to say we had an unhappy camper for a while there!! Another tooth that hadn't shown signs of cutting through actually cut through and came through completely whilst we were waiting for the molar to make up it's mind!! ...and I had to deal with the grumps in the mean time I have heard also that teeth can move beneath the gums without coming through for a while causing the poor little one teething discomfort with no pearly white to show for it! Fun huh?!

We used a teething syrup that the Women's and Children's hospital provides as we were told that there is a certain ingredient in bonjela that is kinda like aspirin which we were told isn't the greatest for little people.......I think the hossy concoction was a more natural one?? Anyways, it worked a treat - just dipped a cotton tip in and then rubbed it on DD's gums......although she was a sausage as she apparently liked the taste so much she would try to suck the cotton tip!!

Well, Port Adelaide Football Team are completely useless! DH even helped me out so I could plonk myself in front of the TV to watch the grand final - this is the first year I have really gotten into it and Port had to go and embarrass themselves completely!!! Nuggets! Really hard to sit for five when you have munchkins to feed and change and look after - even with DH helping out!

On a happier note.....DD#2 is ticklish!! Under the chin!! Oh the chuckles were adorable...........then I gave her hiccups oops!

have you tried the brauer range for teething. Have thought i might give that ago as well.

Oh, and Charly, Aiden is sleeping wonderfully in his cot for his day naps now. 4 yesterday. They are only about 1 sleep cycle thou, but, he has lots of little regular ones. Just now, he was getting grumpy, so, picked him, put him in, tucked him in, and stroked his cheek for about 30sec, and he was out like a light. I am glad i persisted. He hasnt slept in the swing now for 2 days now. I use it just to entertain him now, but, its got nothing really on it for him to look at, so, he dont like it much now anyway. pack it away for the next one i think.

That's fantastic Debbie!! Well done!!! You're a very clever mummy!!

Might have a look at the brauer range myself as we've moved further away from the w&c hospital so it'd be great to get something just as great without the 50min drive!

So those big teeth may not actually pop out for a while then? I must admit he doesn't seem in pain or grumpy, so maybe they're not bothering him yet. It's hard to get a good look as they aren't in clear view unless you push his gums to the side.

I also heard that about Bonjela. I saw some Medela teething powder in the chemist the other day which I will probably get now that it looks like I might be needing it soon.

Charly - Bad luck for Port Adelaide, not that I know anything about AFL. I'm a soccer girl (being English), and the players just seem to have better legs

Oh the lament!! It was a complete shamozzle!!!!!
I agree too that soccer players (the truest form of football ) do have the better legs........why else would I have made sure that I got out to my brother's soccer matches when we were at school????? Hehe!! It's not like I know any rules apart from, "get the round ball in the net at the right end of the pitch!" LOL!!!! Don't know footy rules either for that matter apart from the scoring thing and which big poles to kick the ball between........I'm hopeless! Oh a bit of mind suck is good every now and then!
