Hi girls.
Mel- Thanks for your concernBtw- your pic of the two little angels was gorgeous. They are both so cute!
I went okay I guess. As good as it gets. I got suspended from driving for 2 months and a $300 fine. Which really craps me. Since I spent $350 on Lionel Hutz to represent me. Iw ould've preferred a higher fine and less time off the road. For those of you who don't know. I got caught a few weeks ago, on 0.005 BAC which is the legal limit! But they felt the need to keep up thier quotas for the night and book me for it.I tried to make a point of saying that my toddler is in and out of hospital all the time and this will seriously impact on my role as a mother. But apprently being a mother is not as important has having a 'real' job. HMPF!!
Anyways it will at least force me to walk and take public transport for uni. I have decided I will reward myself with driving again, but being about 5kgs lighter and fitter from walkingJust means that DH will be the driver to take us shopping etc. More of a punishment for him really.
Rustygirl- Know how hard it can be. When Seraya was about 6 weeks old I had to get her out of sleeping in our bed. I am glad I stuck it out. As my paed says, the longer you leave it the harder it will be. He made a point of saying that crying does not hurt them. I know its hard to hear them crying but it does get easier and less with time. I tought that it would be cruel and would teach them you won't be there for them but that really is a bit of bull fluff. Babies really don't have the emotional capacity or neural pathways established to feel like they are being abandoned. They are smarter then we give them credit for and soon work out if they cry, they get what they want. I am proud to say I stuck it out with both of the girls and the are best behaved now. They both have been able to self soothe from 6 weeks old. I never have to rock Seraya to sleep, neither does she rely on a dummy. It is only ever a little bit shaky when she is teething badly, but nurofen for babies and some booby milk fixes her up. :goodluck2: with it. I know its hard! Hope it works out for you and bubby.
Jo- Glad to hear Isabella is putting on weight again. I am pretty slack. I only weigh mine at needle dates. I can see her getting quiet chubby so that is good enough for me. Otherwise I think I would stress out too much. Riley might be getting used to having number 2 around. I know it would be a delayed reaction. But I know that India only recently went through the same thing. Could have been her molars, but a few other mothers seemed to think thats what they went through with their older siblings about 2-3 months after baby 2 came along. I guess the novelty wears off and they realise that they will never have all of mummys undevided attention again. She starting chucking 2yr old wobblys. Thankfully that only lasted a week!
Also sorry to hear about DH. Glad he is okay! That would've been rough for both of you! :hugs:
Hello to every one! Sorry must run. Seraya is looking for me and starting to get very vocal. She likes attention at 10pm every night. As long as you sit next to her she is happy. Strange.
to all. SOrry I couldnt do more personals. must go. xx
