MrsC....we still use the prefolds as well as the other ones too...good for emergencies if I try something new and it leaks everywhere lol. Josh has become quite the cat napper too....Between each feed he will have an hour at the very most (normal seems to be only about half hour tho)
Phoenix...Josh loved his dummy until he got a headcold, ever since he will sometimes take it but mostly not....he prefers his hands now!! I hope the dietician and pead can help you guys with getting better eating and growing :hug: Will be thinking of you and got my fingers crossed that it all goes well :)
JB...I know what you mean!! We worry when they dont sleep much then worry when they do :rolleyes: Three nights in a row now Josh has done all-night sleeps. He has his last feed at about 7.30...goes down about an hour lately, then I dont hear from him till about 7am!! Scared me so bad the first few times :lol:
Kellbell....Wow I cant get my head around thinking about school or preprep type stuff yet...Im still in denial!! My little man is gonna be a sweet little baby forever and stay here with me hahahaha Hmmm if I need to start thinking about school stuff I guess I need to have the "am I going back to work" talk with hubby!!
Hollo...thats awesome Chelsea is starting to burp herself now...hope she rolls over when you can see it! Josh is trying to roll but cant figure out to twist is hips lol
For all the cat-nappers......how do you go about getting things done round the house when you have a cat napper?? I was getting used to the solid sleeps, being able to get some housework done and even grab a cuppa! But now Josh is just napping here and there its taking some adjusting!!

wow susie slept from just after 10 last night till 8 this morning, had her feed, then a scream then a bit more to eat and went to sleep where she is now! we're visiting mum and dad, and I have nothing to do cause I didnt bring anything, no cross stitch, no crochet, not even a book rofl! its just lovely though I must admit :) my boobs werent so happy with the long gap between feeds, she only fed off one so I pumped off the other and got 110ml and probably could have kept going lol! now to just get her to take a bottle!!
Mo - *BIG HUGS* hope the food probs get sorted out quick!
Helen - I get housework done when I can during the day, and when Brett is home I do some whilst he watches her. although hopefully a few days with a couple of 1.5 hour sleeps is her setting a new pattern *fingers crossed*

Whoa that was a big sleep!! I bet you werent comfy at all with such a gap between feeds!
Oooh a 1.5 hour sleep would be a great pattern to have! Im really itching to get back into scrapbooking, but the housework always seems to come first during a catnap!

Linda i always suffer from low iron, it's one of the reasons i had to FF Maddi, but this time i really want to b/f till at least 6 months. If i can't i can't but i'm gonna try my hardest to get there :)
We try to involve M with her food, sometimes she's more keen to try the food & other times she wont have a bar of it.
Helen i try to clean when she isn't cat napping in my arms, Otherwise i'll feed her & put her in the bumbo & do little things like vacuum or clean the kitchen etc...
Mrs C, What a great sleep Susie had. I have the same problem with the bottle.
I'll keep trying & maybe one-day she'll take it lol

Mo big :hug: hope things get sorted out for you soon. Your little girls look so beautiful and healthy to me! Have found a Bumbo in the toys r us catalogue on sale so going to get one for Ella, hope she likes it as much as Kodi!
Ella has decided to be waking up a five in the morn, i hope this is just temporary, she is so hungry by this time. I think i might try rice cereal in the next couple of weeks.
I have finally written my birth story only took four months :lol:

Mo sweetie :hug: oh babe I am anemic too so majorly understand. One thing I found out when I was TTC was that I was low in Zinc wich helps with the iron absorbation too. I would offer to come round and make you a disgusting high iron meal but we both know you don't really want to eat that :lol:
Kell a few of us are tripping to toys r us on Tuesday if you like after a preview of the stuff I have made if you want to join us. You are more than welcome to join us for all of it :)

Miss C is managing to go from a 10pm - 6am for feeds my big girl :cheer:

helen - ally has been poking her tongue out since she was born so am used to it, she also chews on her fist and dribbles all the time as well.
jitterbug - is she is sleeping yeah for you. ally sleeps from 6:30pm - 7am and has been for over a month now. she will wake when she is hungry.
mo- bubs has had a dummy since she was born all my kids have had dummies until they are 2-3yrs old then they go! i hope things with the kids will get better soon.
mrs C - ally has a few catnaps and a 2-3hr snooze during lunch time and then down for the night, is she is not grouchy she must be getting enough sleep.
hollo - yeah for the rolling hopefully u will get to see her do it soon! we have no signs of rolling yet :(
AFM - our trip to sydney went well, the boys played up alot but ally was great even in the car she took it really well. We are planning to start food in a week or 2 just starting with apple puree and seeing if the tongue reflex will let her swallow it. she is grabbing toys now and even grabs her bottle and will hold it for 30sec, she giggles alot now and is always smiling at us. i have her needles on the 15th cant wait to see how much she has grown.

Just passing thru real quick...Josh went to sleep no dramas tonight so Im off to catch some zzzzz's myself! Just wanted to pop in and say OMG my baby boy is three months old today!!! Where on earth did that time go!!!!

no idea wats going on with my precious...certainly have not routine happening!! she is changing her poohing pattern..not every nappy as was..has only done lil dribbles since sat! shes been ery grizzly..more than normal. she slept 11 till 6 then 7:30 till 10 and has had a couple of catnaps but she really needs another big sleep she so tired!

Ella was up at ten to four this morning :doh:
She has been up at five the two mornings before that!
I don't know what is happening this week - maybe a growth spurt?? but gee it was so cold at that time of the morning. She was ravenously hungry too, so think ill start some solids soon esp if she keeps getting up that early.
Gotta fly, i hear her waking from her catnap :D

Time is flying past.. David had his three month MCHN visit on Wednesday which went okay. He is doing well height wise and has started rolling tummy to back and is working hard on back to front rolling. He has started following us around the room and is very aware of his surroundings. Which has made breastfeeding difficult, he keeps pulling off and smiling, gurgling and looking around and then won't go back on. Which has led to bad weight gain this week. Apparently its a phase 4 month olds go through (so he's ahead of himself). Has anyone else found this? How did they overcome it and how long did it last?
He has also started watching us eat, he follows our spoon/fork quite a bit and last night I fed him sat down to my tea and he watched I had two mouthfulls and he screamed I couldn't settle him so I offered him milk and he had a huge feed. Was almost as though he was trying to say oi where's mine. lol As he is still 3 months though MHCN said that if we wait until we get back from our holiday then we'll start solids as he'll be 4 months.
Its just been hard feeding wise, I really want to keep breastfeeding but its difficult when he is so distractable. MHCN says to offer it 3 or so times in his awake period which is tiring. I wonder what formula feeding is like and if it would be better but then I feel guilty for thinking about it :S
Good news MrsC with the long sleeps, we have started to enjoy full nights sleeps since David started sleeping in the nursery last Friday. David is sleeping from 9/10pm til 5am, then again til 8ish. Then the day starts, its been lovely having the sleep but MHCN said to make sure he gets LOTS of tummy time to make sure he doesn't get flat head.
Has anyone else had flat head or been warned of it?

Kodi's still having poor weight gains, falling below average now. I think if her weight gain is still poor next weigh in they'll start pushing formula.On the bright side she looks healthy & is happy and content. So that's a positive :)

We are having a bit of difficulty with breastfeeding too. Constantly pulling off, looking around, smiling, talking and not really staying on task! Makes it hard to feed her whilst out and remain discrete. It is easier at home because I can try and minimize the distraction a bit. I am hoping it doesn't last too much longer but yeah, so far it isn't going too well. We weighed her yesterday and she is at 6.1kg so about 300g over 3 weeks. 2 weeks and she will be 4 months... more needles ick. Next week DP is working nights... 10pm to 6am. Hopefully, it won't be too bad and she will sleep! We have regressed a little back to feeds at 7pm, 10pm, 4am and 7am but we are surviving haha. We still have quite intense cradle cap so are thinking of getting the moogoo cream for it.. has anyone tried it?
I hope Kodi has a good weigh in next time and everyone else is going alright. How time flies!

mo- do they have any explanation for you as to why kodi isnt putting on weight? when hannah was little she only put weight slowly and because she was happy and alert etc like kodi is they just thought it was normal for her, just had to do regular weigh ins.
jitterbug and auzzie- that happens with breastfeeding. they go through stages like that. so stick with it and it will get back to normal.
kell- we had a few early wakins too around 5!! happened twice and i was not impressed! LOL
it is getting hard co-sleeping with both of em!! hannah comes in in the early morning and is chatty which wakes chelsea up. hannah quietens down and then chelsea is awake which then wakes hannah up again and around we go in a circle til i have enough and just get them both up LOL. how do you co-sleepers deal with that? any ideas in getting hannah to stay in her bed all night?
chelsea has been getting into the finger sucking thing, but the last few days she has found her thumb. it is frustrating her to no end cause it keeps coming out and her other fingers are long and outstretched so they are poking her in her own eyes! LOL i cant wait til she figures it out properly.

i weighed chels yesterday she is 6kg, so her rate of gaining weight is starting to slow down a little.
i am starting to think about my weight too! really need to loose about 10-15kg but it is easier said than done! i have started at the gym, only found time to go to one class per week but its the food that i am having trouble controlling. i am always hungry!! and am a bit lazy combined with lacking in time time make healthy snacks. i am dreading the calorie counting that i know i am gonn have to start up again!
anyway, thats all that i can think of. take care.

HI guys :) Been awhile since Ive been online....Ive been trying to make a gift for my friend whose daughter turns one on Saturday and its just not working how I imagined it!!! So I figured I needed a BB break :)
Wow all this talk of solids is really quite scary!!! I cant get over how quick all our babies are growing up already!! It still feels like only last week we brought Josh home lol
AuzzieChick Thats great that David is rolling so much!! As for the distracted feeding....we are formula here and Josh is constantly getting distracted, looking around, giggling or just wanting to have a chat! Sounds like he is having some awesome night sleeps for you :) Josh has a shocking flat spot on one side of the back of his head...and a lovely bald patch to match lol.....when I asked the nurse about it she just said its pretty much unavoidable with back sleepers and it will go away once he is crawling and walking.
Jitterbug The bad cradle cap has returned again here too....I was using olive oil on it and it worked really well for awhile, then just stopped working. I have moogoo here but never thought to try it on his head lol! Poor thing is starting to look really funny....the cradle cap is only on the very top of his head and thats where he has lost a heap of hair....so he looks like an old man going bald on top with the sides still there!!
Hollo Josh is having the same trouble with finding his thumb.....I went to him one day cos he was screaming only to find he had jammed his fingers up his nose!!! It will be great when he figures out how to take his fingers back out of his nose!!
I weighed Josh on Wednesday....he is up to 6.9kg now!! I also got a set of digital scales so I can work out his weight by weighing me with and without him in my arms...saves me making a trip to the chemist each time I want to check (cos I always spend money while Im in town lol)

Hes become a real little chatterbox too....will talk himself to sleep alot of the time, and even talk in his sleep lol. He started to giggle which was sooooo adorable to watch, but now he teams the giggle with a really high pitched squeal...not sure what he thinks that is lol

Hollo-it's because i'm sick, so when/if i improve she should as-well.
Auzzie- K is the same with the feeding, but she is slowly getting better.
JB--i've just being olive oil for K's cradle cap. Haven't needed anything stronger yet.
Helen-K rolls all the time now, she even did it for the health nurse yesterday. She can be such a show off.
I love it when babies babble, it such a cute sound.

chelsea has rolled to her back a couple times and is trying soooooooooo hard to go from back to tummy. she gets so frustrated and whingy as she is trying to do it.
she is cooing away too and almost laughing at times. her legs are really strong too, if i hold her upright and put her legs on my lap she can hold most of her wieght for a good while. oh, we got a bumbo too, not sure if her neck is strong enough to be in it for a long period but its good for a few minutes. she likes the change of perspective.
mo -hope you get better and K's weight gets back on track. it must be a little stressful for you guys! try not to worry.
jitterbug, i have been meaning to ask you.. how did you get 3 squares of rep and only 400 odd posts? you must have been contributing awesomely since you joined! :-)
