Mo thats so cute about Kodi, :D Ella too has rolled halfway across the room before i can blink. Might be time for me to think about baby proofing the house

Ella tends to go to bed between seven and eight and is awake between five and six, except the other morning when she slept till 1/4 past seven and it happened to be the day we needed to be out of the house by 1/4 to eight. We were rushing around like mad people. Babies LOL, i wont trust her to my alarm clock again :lol:

Nothing much else happening here, 5 months on Tuesday though, where is the time going??

Welcome Ange and Shannon,

We are enjoying our holiday and Alexandra is loving the cuddles and all of the attention from all of the relatives. It is very funny to see her reaction to seeing new things, especially animals like cats, dogs and an aquarium full of fish.

We had 4 month needles the other day and it was nowhere near as traumatising as the first ones. We went to a new doc and Alexandra only screamed for about 10 seconds all up as opposed to at least 10 minutes last time. The doctor had a stash of toys under her desk to distract the kids and they worked wonders. The doctor weighed Alexandra and she is now 8kg - she stopped short of calling her fat, but advised to extend feeds out to 3-4 hourly. I'm not too worried about it because she is off the charts in all her measurements not just weight, was a bigger than average baby when she was born and her feeds are out to 4 hours apart. Interesting that we haven't had any comments from the other doctors we've seen or the MCHN that we see every 2 weeks.

We start to put Alexandra to bed at 7pm and she wakes up somewhere between 5am and 7am with 1 or 2 night feeds.

Mo, hope you get better super quick and JB, hope the mastitis is all cleared up now

Hi Shannon, i am so sorry for the loss of your precious daughter. What a tough time you must have had. :hug:

JB- we aim for 7 here too, but someimtes it is 6 and sometimes 7.30. But around there is good!

Kellbell- i have no idea why, but the little monkeys ALWAYS sleep in when you have to be somewhere, but never any other time. :doh:

Mo- we've been sick too. I had mastitis, Lu has a chest infection and Sas has snot city going on! Hope Nelle's soup helps. ;)


Sas goes down around 7 and wakes once or twice for a feed. We all generalyl begin the day around 7am. Lu kind of dictates that with all the noise she makes when she wakes up! She is no retireing flower that's for sure. :lol:

Shannon - Welcome to you and Olivia. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter, Mackenzie. :hug:

Mo - Hope you are feeling better soon! Nothing harder than looking after others when you aren't feeling well yourself.

kellbell - That happens here all the time! Any day there is nothing on, she will be up at 5am but if I need to be somewhere by 10 she will snooze till past 9... crazy, isn't it?

Justine - We should catch up for coffee again when you get back from your holiday :)

Not much else to report. Went to the BellyBelly Brisbane Meet-up today and it was good fun! Even took DF with me haha but he wanted to escape after about 30minutes there so we left pretty early. We are getting pretty good with bedtime now at 7pm, trying to be consistent is helping. I ripped half of one of my nails off and it is a PITA! Hurts a lot and now I'm scared to use that hand in case it rips entirely off haha.

Kell i'm lucky our house is already baby proof, shame it's not toddler proof. Kinda annoying how quickly Maddi picks things up now lol

Justine glad you & Alexandra are enjoying your holiday & Maddi was a chubba bubba as-well. As soon as she started crawling her weight gains slowed down & she's always been above average as-well.

Ange Bummer about the mastitis, Lulu's chest infection & Sassy's snotty nose, hope you all feel better asap. Nelle's soup was lovely & it's about the only thing i can eat at the moment.

JB ouch, have you tried putting a band aid while the nail grows back? Glad you had a good time at the meet-up, i'm hoping to meet the lovely Linda in few months time & i'm meeting the wonderful Amber(Boomba) in 2 weeks so really looking forward to that.

Ended up going to the DR's last because i couldn't talk, eat, drink swallow i'm on anti b's now, but it's already hit my ears
Oh well at least i'm not sitting here with a temp of 38.9 shivering because i'm so cold like i was last night.

hi all! welcome Ange and Shannon!
hope all you siickies are well again soon!
we just jad 5 nights in darwin which was lovely but busy - stayed with friends in their 2 bedroom apartment with them and their 4yr and 20mth old kids!
Susie was great on the flights! fed taking odd both times and she was asleep not long after we were in the air! 1st flight was awake for a couple of hours with tummy pains but panadol burps and spews helped that then she slept the last hour and didnt wae till we were walking off the plane! 2nd flight she was awake about 20 minutes when they were bringing food around yjen slept 3 hours and fed the way down! yay susie! she loed the weather though and not wearing layers of clothes lol! went swimming a coupe of times..borrowed swim nappy and rashie suit for her from my friend! she looed so cute! didnt take a pram cause didnt want to risk loss/damage to ours so just used the sling and we were fine with that :) she slept a lot in it! not sure she happy to be in cold weather again lol!

Susie gave us a scare yeserday too. dh was holding her and she stared choking so he yelled for me but as she stood up she threw up everywhere! still was funny for a while after that and a big burp came! shes on zantaz now too cause we yook her to emergwency night before we went to darwin cause there was dried blood in her spitup. it seems to be helping a bit, less spewing in general! she also had a weekend callout to iro just before we left cause she was holdomg arm funny...turns out her elbow was out ouch!

but aside from those traumatic things Im positive she has grown and she has really taken up suealing and laughing more now! its delightful to watch :) grabs for toys and reacjes for me when someone else has her and shes in a mummy mood! so cute :)

Mrs C, sounds like you had a great trip away & i hope the zantac helps reduce Susie spewing.

I didn't think i could get any worse but i have, i have to start forcing myself to drink or i have to goto the hospital & get a drip put in. There is nothing more the hospital or doctors can do because i'm b/fing. So i'm just praying the Anti B's kick in very soon.

Oh Mo that sounds terrible :( Have you got any ice cubes or iceblocks to suck on?

We went out & brought some icypoles. So at least i'm getting some fluids in now :)

We are getting lots of "talking" lately! It is so very cute and if I try really, really hard then I can pretend she is articulating proper words ;) hahaha

JB i like to think Kodi says Mama all the time lol so i'm sure Immy is saying Mama among other things as well lol.

Kodi is fast asleep, just waiting for the terror to finish her noodles before she starts to wind down for bed.

Awe Mo, you poor thing. Did you get the gastrolyte icypoles from the pharmacy? They would be good. Hope you start to pick up tomorrow. :hug:

The anti B's are startong to kick in, i woke up this morning after 4hrs straight sleep (which was great because i haven't been able to sleep any longer than 1hr since i got sick) & i could swallow without closing my eyes, putting pressure on my ears & tensing my body up. It still hurts to swallow etc... but i can push through this pain.
On the downside Kodi has a case of the sniffles & a dry cough, praying she doesn't get what i had.

It has been a tough ride! I went into labour with Olivia pretty much exactly a year after mackenzie passed away. She is born the day after! So there were a few mixed emotions! Olivia has also not been the easiest baby (colic, reflux, refuses to sleep) which has made it a bit harder to adjust! But where getting there!

Sorry to hear about all these mums and bubs being sick! hope everyone is feeling better soon!

Hi ladies! I have been MIA for ages I know but have been lurking a bit on and off. It is good to see this forum going so strong!
I would like to join in again if that is OK.
I realised that I am not making contact with many mums. So busy with stuff. Working a bit here and there. Hubbies birthday do, Dad moving house, just stuff.....
Tirion is a bright little girl. She tries to feed herself solids and makes a real mess!

Sorry to hear about all the sickness! Hope all are better soon.
