Hi everyone!
Wow you've all been so chatty!
Been pretty busy here, hopefully things will settle down now.
Noah is going well, weighs 5.65kg & is 59cm long, just about ready to bust out of the bassinet.
I have decided not to have this op done, just too invasive, going to wait & see if it grows back, then I'll get it done. I am so glad I didn't give up BF all together so I am now going to wean him off formula , with the help on the SNS . Then we have to work out his allergies
Hope you are all doing well.
Is anyone Else's bubs getting a bald patch at the back of their heads yet? When I get Noah out of bed he leaves hair on the sheet argh wish he didn't turn his head to look around so much.
Well that's it for me, washing machine calling me:wall:
Hello everyone. Been getting into a bit of a good routine lately and starting to enjoy it all a bit more. Made chicken and vegetable soup the other day and it was a huge hit. My Mum stayed for dinner and wanted seconds!! DF has finished work for the week but is having a sleep with DD since he got home at 6am. Doesn't have to go back in till Tuesday afternoon so a huge weekend for us :) Tomorrow we are getting DD's feet and hands sculptured... should be interesting to see how she handles it. Not much else going on here.
Storm -- good to hear you are able to continue breastfeeding!! I really hope that it doesn't grow back. DD is getting a bald patch on the front of her head!! She looks like her Dad who is balding at the front haha. My Mum and I keep teasing DF, saying he better not have passed his baldness on (in a nice loving way, of course hehe). Also good to here that Noah's neck is fine :D
Good to hear all the little ones who coped okay with their needles! Aren't they all growing so big? I haven't weighed DD in a while but she was 5.5kg at her 2month needle appointment and she is now just 12 days off being 3months!! Will have to get her weighed sometime this weekend, it is always fun to see.
Hollo -- how annoying about having to have an ultrasound! Did the implant hurt? I'm terrified of needles. Hope you both recover from your germs quickly! We let DD sleep on her tummy occasionally and I understand what you feel. It is weird because 20yrs ago, Mother's would have felt like they were doing the safe thing... my Mum tells me she should be fine but I can't help but worry. I am a little less worried now that I know she can move her head and roll over but I still only let her during the day when I can watch her like a hawk haha.
funkeefrog -- hope Alexandra is feeling better after her jabs now. It is so hard, isn't it? I went in wanting DF to hold her but as soon as I saw the needles, I wanted to be the one comforting her... even though it was hard hearing her cry :(
Helen -- seems a few of us are coming down with things. I hope you are feeling better today and Joshie hasn't caught it. My DF is a bit sniffly and I keep telling him not to breath on DD or me!! So far, we haven't got it but I'm thinking it is just a matter of time...
Janie -- how nice to get a good chunk of sleep! Good to hear about the weight gain too. It is a bit stressful aye? Boobies really need a clear window!!
treena -- Sucks about AF, hopefully they can sort something out soon. Aren't the smiles just the best? I've started having to not smile while she feeds because she will smile back and fall off!!
linda -- so good to hear your store is going well :)
Phoenix -- Ah, that would be frustrating! Hopefully, the toddler starts sleeping a bit longer soon!
Welcome Dotty! Congratulations on your little princess! Hopefully you can find some good advice ;)
MrsC_Aussie -- good to know I'm not the only one doing that!!
auzzie.chick -- I hope David has gained some more weight this week. I was told that it can sometimes give a better picture to weigh over 4 weeks and then divide so if you look at it that way he has gained over 100g a week which isn't bad. Hopefully, if this week has been better then it was just a slow period iykwim? We don't weigh DD that often so for all I know she could have some slow weeks, too! Sending you chubby bubby vibes ;) Sounds like he is doing well other than that! Sucks to hear about AF. She hasn't made an appearance here, thankfully but I have been a bit crampy this week so it could be soon... we are breastfeeding here, too so I was hoping for a bit of a break!!
RazRock -- that does sound so similar to DD. She has a long sleep at night (8+hrs) but catnaps, snacks etc during the day. I'm okay with it and she seems happy so I guess I'll just keep following her lead!
Wow, this is a hugely long post! No doubt I missed someone, there are so many of us now :) Sorry if I did, been trying to write this in between the regular morning distractions. Hope everyone is doing okay. DD had a screaming match for a few hours last night, still no idea why!! My Mum thinks she could be teething because she is drooling everywhere but it seems too soon?? Anyway, better run!!
Take care everyone
We had our immunisations on Wednesday night, so David was very grizzly and clingly he got a mild temeprature (which was lucky it was mild as we had no baby panadol). He had a few massive throw ups which unfortunatley i wore, side affect of the rotavirus immunisation . Which at 2am I was a tad emotional and grumpy, so today have brought myself a body scrub from body shop and told hubby that he can entertain David for an hour while i have some self pampering.
Gym is going well had last personal trainer session today, geez I'm going to ache tomorrow been doing mostly stomach and back strengthening exercises. Oh and a little bit for my arms. Managing to get there twice a week, thinking I might try to walk to mothers group though, only down side is its all up/down hills. Will certainly be a work out.
Jitterbug- thanks, bubs weighed in at 5.69 on Thursday so had gained 220g in four days really confused the MCHN so have another weigh in on Tuesday just in case, before we have a gap till his 3 month check.
That is great news auzzie.chick -- sounds like it was just a slow couple of weeks and you are doing a fab job! Hopefully, the numbers are still climbing on Tuesday :)
Enjoy your pampering!!
I'm still around just had a rough week.
I'll bbl with personals when velco girl lets me put her down more than 2 mins.
Mo - I have velcro girl's partner Koala girl!
Well if I get half an hour with Miss C asleep on the couch there will be a party! :cheer: she has been majorly clingy since her injections and my arms are sore. I sooo glad I have the baby ktan and close to keep her in!
 to everyone will do personals soon xxx
Thought i would put us back on the 1st page.
I think Kodi has finally built up my supply enough to make her happy, these last couple of days have been horrible. Felt like all she to do wanted to do was feed 24/7.
How's everyone been? Anyone do anything exciting for the long weekend?
Nothing exciting here.
I gave Noah a bottle of EBM last night at 7 & he slept til 8.30 this morning so I know it's not my milk, although it did take me a week to get enough for a feed  time to boost it back up I think all the bottles he has been having have caused it to drop off some.I'm so glad he still settled at the breast though otherwise I'd have no chance.
Hope everybody had a great weekend, we had lots of rain & my driveway is mush, 3k's worth of slip & slide as Katie nicely puts it.
Have to take Noah back to the specialist tomorrow & the little 2 are at pre school/day care.
Hi All,
We had a busy weekend, caught up with some friends, managed to get some work done on my assignments and also buy an album to put all of Alexandra's baby photos into and get them in there which took a while. We had a big cull when we sorted out which ones to print but still had 250 photos, mostly baby photos but also some during pregnancy from holidays and stuff. Also put together some mini albums and fridge magnets for great grandmas who we won't get to see for at least another couple of months.
It's pretty much same old thing with us, not much new happening. Alexandra is in her cot at the moment staring at her rainforest mobile. She gets so excited waving her arms and kicking her legs and making this noise like a hiccup and huge gasp combined. It is really funny to watch.
Great to hear that Noah is happily taking your milk Jo - hopefully you can build up your supply again quickly.
How did David go with his weigh in today Auzzie.chick? Sounds like he's back on track from your last post.
Hope everyone else is doing well and had a nice weekend
busy weekend here too..went to my in laws. was a lovely weekend except susie and i hae both got a cold. horrible hearing her struggle to breathe! using saline dtops a lil bit (she hates them), bit of breast milk up the nose, eucalyptus oil on a hankie under her pillow and we'e done the steamy bathroom twice..before bed last night and justy a few minutes ago. DH and I hae decided we should get as vaporizer/humidifier thing so will have to do that today. for now Susie is back to sleep!
no mothers group for us today, dont want to pass on the germs. will hae to check if she can still have injectuion tomorrow!
mrs C is she has a runny nose you can get this thing called 'little fess' or something similar and its like a little suction thing that you use to 'suck' the snot out. LOL sounds gross, and it is kinda gross to use it but it is so good to get all the snot out because of course they cant blow their noses.
We had a lovely week at my mums last week and a nice long weekend
However yest was horrible Ella was so cranky and unsettled, i thought she might be getting sick, but she has woken up happy this morning, maybe just a bad day
She is three months tommorow, i better go and get her weighed this week, we havent been for a while
Mrs C - i dont think they do the vaccinations when they are sick, as it can be hard to tell if they are reacting from the needle or from being sick
Hollo that sounds gross but useful, no colds here yet, hope they stay away
A couple of babies in our mums group are on there solids, how scary all our bubs will be eating soon!
as far as i know they still do the immunisations if they have a cold, its just if they have a temperature that they will wait.
well i didnt have to ring the mchn to say i wasnt going to mums grup - she rang me to say its cancelledd cause she is sick!!
i have a simnilar thikng to little fess i think - saline drops and a bulb sucker thing...i dont think i succeed with it though,,,she doesnt like me doing it so really hard!

Hello everyone :)
Things are going fine here. DD will be 3 months on the 17th (exactly one week) which is a bit crazy to think about. Pretty uneventful other than that. We will probably weigh her soon since we haven't since her 2 month jabs.
Hope Susie is feeling better soon, MrsC. I'm glad DD hasn't caught a cold because DF has one and one sick baby is enough haha!
Take care everyone xo.
Ella had her three month check up today, 6.7kg and 63cm, so she has doubled her birth weight, she is powering along, cant believe how quick the first couple of months has gone:D
