My partner has opened his big mouth to his family, well he says only one person and it has spread like wildfire to everyone in his whole family that we are trying again. MEN!!!!!!!
I got a call from my MIL yest probing me i just fobbed her off
Its not a huge deal just annoyed me!
I really want hardly anyone to know in the first 12 weeks so im going to have to stitch his mouth closed
Hehe Kell, I'd warn him that if he's going to go on like this that you're not going to tell him when you get a positive result!!!!! I can imagine that would get your point across!!!
Good idea Corelly! These men just get too excited. And they say women are blabber mouths!!
Good luck Kell. I'm glad work is suiting you better. I agree that it is stimulating being in the workplace.
My work is fine but demanding. It seems ( and someone said this to me recently) that when you return part time in an old full time job you just cram 5 days in to 3. Yep that is pretty true. I already have heaps of time in lieu saved up from working AH. And I've been asked to help facilitate the statewide conference in June! Nice opportunity but more work.
The Reading time has some rules and they recommend that you encourage your child to sit but most of the children roam around with parents supervising them. T surfed the room on the first session but sat on my lap for the 2nd and seemed to enjoy everything. I met another mum and bub which was cool. No clicks noticed yet. And no grime - OMG that sounds aweful Corelly. Glad to hear the bugs have left town at your place - no wonder you were conscious of cross infection!
FW - glad to hear you have met a local mum. Hope it works out well.
JF - sounds like you get to enjoy the baby times for longer. I think it is nice not to grow up too fast.
AFM went to doc on Monday - ordered bloods so had them done today - to check for pregnancy - OMG no! - if not pregnant then have to have smear and ultrasound. Seeing doc again Friday. Not too worried yet.
I'm am really excited that A has stopped throwing food on the floor (who would've thought that I'd get so excited over something so trivial) Now when she is finished eating she will hold up her bowl and say finished and wait for me to take it from her. Very proud moments over the last few days!
Kell - When are you testing? You are gonna tell us the results, right?
Yep id be excited too if Ella stopped throwing food - what a clever girl Miss A is!
Will be testing on Monday morning don't think its worked this month. Im sure it will be a BFN. Hey were having fun trying anyway so wont be too dissapointed, well maybe a little. Yep ill def be letting you know on here one way or the other
Ella was so naughty at swimming today screaming and carrying on - i was so embarrassed they really know how to turn it on when they want dont they she normally loves it.
I hate it when you feel other parents are staring at you and your child
Kellbell - good luck for Monday! Fingers crossed for you!
Cheshire - I hate it too when people stare. When DD was in her brace it used to kill me, because not only would they stare, they'd whisper, like, oh look at that baby's legs, wonder what's wrong with heeerrrrrr. I'd want to scream at them, I CAN HEAR YOU!!!!!!
Super Pumpkin - sounds like you had a nice time at the reading session. We'll have to wait a bit again because the bugs are back . Hope your blood tests come back okay.
DD's nose started to run again a couple of days ago and she's been clogged up horribly since. She's happy enough, but grrrrrr. Thanks so much playgroup peoples!!!
What's everyone doing for mother's day? We're doing the Mother's Day Classic walk around the botanic gardens in the morning and then my mum and stepfather are coming for tea. Got my Mother's Day pressies early - a pair of Collingwood socks and a digital photo frame. YAY!
Corelly, i think that's even worse & so rude.
There was a Car crash near our local shopping centre on Wednesday & 1 man was killed.
We got there just after it happened & People were taking pictures on their mobiles of the man, It was disgusting. We even heard a bunch of guys saying they were going to post it on FB.
WTF! who does crap like that.
Corelly so sorry to hear your DD is sick again, some people are just selfish to you both.
Thanks Cheshire. - Oh, I know what you mean about car crashes and things - we saw a fatal bike accident and there were cars parked everywhere - not to help, just for photo ops and to have a gawk. I just don't understand it. Maybe because DH is in the CFA too, and he and the people there experience way too much. I look the other way.
Corelly - hope the bugs leave your family alone soon. They can be so tough and hard to get rid of these days. As for your cousin - I understand your concern. I hope it makes a man of him. Your mother's day plans sound great.
FW - well done A! I wish T would stop throwing food on the floor.
Kell - tantrums do get worse of course but go away eventually - so embarrassing! The free parenting mag had an article on it the other day and best advice was not to respond emotionally but to reassure the child that you will help them to cope with their strong feelings. Obviously at 13 months it is more about not reinforcing the behaviour with our reactions. If the child feels you are in control then they will feel secure and the tanties should eventually reduce - over the next couple of years!! Great news of course
Blood tests were good so just have to wait and have a couple of other tests soon. At least the pregnancy one came back negative - that is a relief!
We celebrated MD at a fine restaurant and it was DS 2s 18th Birthday. All the immediate family came and we had a great night. I got some new clothes and slippers, a recipe journal and chocolates. Very spoiled! DH bought danishes for breakfast and we had a generally cosy day. T was terrific all day (after a terrible nights sleep!)
HAPPY MOTHER'S day to you all!
Kell. Sorry you didn't get the result you were hoping for, but you'll have another bubba on the way in no time, I'm sure. xx
SP - Thanks for the get well wishes, DD is almost over it, so hopefully it'll disappear for good now. More is coming out about my cousin, he's excited so that's a good start.
Had a really nice Mother's Day, and hope you all did too.
