Poor Kodi. I hope she is not put off dancing! Isnt it terrible when cute turns to tragic!! I hope she heels quickly Mo.
Corelly - Wow 6 days of work - huge! Hope you kick the cold quickly. Ascorbic acid (purest you can find0 in large doses seems to work very well even after symptoms start.
Kell - yeahthe Aldi crowds can be pretty selfish even on a normal shopping day I have found. The toys were really cute and was tempted to buy all of them! T loves her table and chairs and plastic food. She is looking so grown up now. Tried herr eating at the table and it works until she decides to get up and feed the dog : )
-
Aw poor Kodi! I hope it heals quickly, Mo.
SP - Thanks, am trying to kick the cold and have tried really hard to avoid giving to DD, but no luck :( . Tonight she's super grizzly and running nose. DOH!!!! How are you going?
Last night DD woke up at about 1. DH was sleeping in our spare room because of me being sick, so I snuggled DD in with him and left them to it. I got a blissful 8 hours while for the first time ever, DH woke about a billion times because HE was worried about DD falling out, rolling into the wall, him squashing her, etc....... And all I could do this morning was secretly think, "SUFFER MATE!" and quite openly laughed at him! It was nice for him to go through what I go through every time DD sleeps in with us! Yep, bad wifey, bad!!!

Dr said K's cut is healing nicely, i'm so happy :D
LOL Corelly, i remember being that anxious when i first start co sleeping Maddi, DF was so scared he'd hurt her he started sleeping in the spare room.
Even now he's still paranoid about sleeping next to Maddi unless he's napping, lol
It's become second nature to me, i think the only time i've had the bed to myself since Maddi was born was the night before i had Kodi.
-
Hehe Mo. I think these big hunks of men just look at these tiny babies and go, NO WAY!!! I'm going to squash her!!!

Corelly have sent you a PM so we can be facebook friends - i need some more friends for frontierville
I cant sleep with DD i still get scared ill roll on her!
-
Kell - No worries, have sent the reply :) As far as co-sleeping goes, I wish I'd never ever relented. It was by accident I did, we were away and she was so distressed that I put her in bed with us and its gone from there. Now she's a thrash-about-in-sleep baby, so I get even less now. Hehe.
I'm not having the best of weeks this week. DD caught my cold that I had so poor little munchkin is just sick and a bit sad. It's my last day at work tomorrow so that's a good thing, I've enjoyed it, but ready to be at home again. DH ended up quitting his job (he had three days to go) in absolutely spectacular style - have you ever wanted to tell your boss where to go? Well he did :D but now we're really on the scary bandwagon of trying to get our own work. On top of that Vic Roads pulled his van off the road to get a new gas tank after that Honda exploded, so we forked out $2500 to get it done, and today he goes to show them the certificate and they tell him, oh no, didn't we tell you, you need a roadworthy as well. We need the van on the road now so he can work, needed it going yesterday. GRRRRR. And the best thing of all to make it an awesome week is that his stupid mother rang my parents to see if she can talk to him. We have had nothing to do with her for four years, she knows why, it's a really really long story, and she rang to speak to my mum because now they "share a grandchild". Oh no you don't witch-from-hell. Over my dead body.
So anyway......
How are you all?! :D
-
Poor K Mo! Glad she's ok, tough little monkey!
2 days till O day Kell! best of luck. fingers crossed for you.
DD has one nap. about 2 hours, sometimes only 45 minutes beginning anywhere from 9.30am to 12pm. Not a lot of day sleeping but she sleeps 7.30-.7am-ish so i don't mind.
ETA- Wow Corelly, scary MIL! Bummer about the van. Baloo has a cold too. Nasty cough and a runny nose, it's horrible when they are sick.
-
Corelly sounds like a crummy week for you hope things start to get better soon xoxoxo
Thanks fingers crossed it works this month for us!!!!
One of my best friends had a baby boy this week so went and had cuddles today i had completely forgotten how small they start out!!!!!!
He was 10 pounds too so a big boy but was tiny to me. Guess im used to lugging a toddler around now
Was a bit of a shock actually holding a newborn again but made me even more super clucky if that's possible :D
-
Fingers crossed for you Kell. Hope it's your month!
JM - Hope Baloo gets better quickly. It is just awful when they're sick and miserable.
Sorry for my vent in here before too guys, should've really typed it out in the boo hoo room, but got distracted and over tired too.

Nah Corelly, vent away in here i say!
-
Corelly - yeah vent away! Hate those toxic relies:shakehead: Hope bubs is well soon. Go your DH! Not many people actually do that. Did it make him feel better?
Kell - fingers crossed for you this month;)
JM - Hope your bubs is better too.
AFM - T has been out of sorts since we went to hospital. She has had the worst nappy rash and runny poos. Hope she didnt get some horrid bug in that filthy place! Fair dinkum it was really dirty in there. Kell - what do they teach nurses re asepsis these days?
I'm still on sick leave and this is the first day I could say the energy is coming back a bit. We will walk to the shops now.
My Dad just returned from 7 weeks in the UK. Picked him up last night. I hope he is less anxious and annoying! Corelly - I wish I could cut him out of our lives sometimes too - he is a very difficult, demanding and intrusive/controlling man and wants to come over all the time.
Hey my emoticons are working again!!!!!!
-
SP - I hear what you're saying about your dad. For us it was a decision DH made and it was on the back of a lifetime of emotional abuse for him. For me, well, she hated everything about me that I couldn't change - I am Australian (yep going back to convicts on one side even), and I have divorced parents. The fact that my parents get along makes it worse because she couldn't fathom that - you stay together no matter what and if they can get along, then surely they can live together. We were always the "talking point" at each joint family function, but not because my parents hated each other, but because we know how to behave. Go figure. Anyway, its a story for another day and another time if one day it gets the better of me and I type it all out!!!!
- I'm sorry T is sick and hope all the bugs leave you soon.
Thanks JM and Kell too.
Hey, saying the obvious here, but we do have a nice bunch of people in here :)

Corelly sorry about your MIL, i have the same kinda problem but it's with my Aunties.
Apparently i ruined my Mums life when she become pregnant with me at the age of 40. She should of been making herself a wonderful life but i came along & stuffed it all up. The have blamed me for years like it was my fault!
My Mother has never seen me as a mistake tho, before she got really sick she used to write i was a gift from God because i saved her life.
I only found her journals last years but it made me smile knowing she never blamed me for how crummy things got.
Now she's in a nursing home with Dementia & i'm the only one who sees her, Some family i have.
Jane hope Baloo is feeling better, when are you heading back to Oz next?
Kell fingers crossed that this is your month.
Hi to everyone else.
Had my iron infusion yesterday, can't wait till i have some energy back. On the bright side my meds seem to be working & my U/C is going back into remission.
Kodi is doing well the bruising & bump has gone but she still has the blue line of glue. Looks cute tho!

Hey everyone!
It's been a bit crazy around here.
*Been away to visit my sister and send off my parents on their overseas trip
*It was my b'day a few days ago and now I'm an old fart like Mo ;)
*we have pretty much decided that we're going to stay up here until DP gets a job and when this happens we will start TTC#2
*busy making engagement party invitations atm which is doing my head in because I'm a perfectionist
*We've started DD on ventolin today after umming and aahing the last week for her possible asthma so hopefully it helps her cough even if it isn't asthma
What's with all the sick bubs? We all seem to be going through it atm
I've tried to read back the last 2 pages so I apologise if I miss anyone
Mo - Good to hear that K's head is healing well - it didn't look very nice. That is horrible that your family would blame you for something that is completely out of your control. I have great relationships with my immediate family, but parent's families are completely different stories. It really makes me wonder how brothers and sisters can turn out to be complete opposites and how some people can be so underhanded and nasty. I am really happy for you that your health is improving again. I bet you need your energy running around after the girls all day :)
Corelly - Sorry to hear about your MIL. At least you know that you are doing the right thing for your family and protecting them right now and your DD can decide if she wants a relationship with her when she's old enough to decide for herself. Although from the sounds of it she probably won't want to know her! Did you enjoy being back at work apart from getting sick? Has your boss asked you to come back yet?
SP - I've been thinking of you and am pleased to hear that your energy is starting to come back. Do you have a defined period of sick leave before you have to go back to work or is it whenever you feel well enough?
Kell - Good luck and fingers crossed for this month! I had cuddles of a month old bubba at playgroup the other week and I was the same, he was so tiny and seemed so fragile
JM - Hope Baloo is feeling better soon and isn't kind enough to spread her germs to the rest of you. Haven't checked out your blog for a while *toddles off to check it out
JF - How is Immy going with her walking? I can't remember how long it took for Alexandra to favour walking from her first steps, wasn't long though, maybe a week? I would love to have play dates if we do end up back in Brisbane, but for the moment I've got my heels dug into the ground. DD was off her food and was wanting boobie heaps but has calmed down a bit since and is back to her gobble guts self again. One thing that I've done to increase A's food intake is to give her a few of her super favourite meals for either lunch or dinner for a few days in a row ie. Spaghetti, pea and ham soup with bread, risotto. Maybe you could try that with Immy
-
Mo - Glad to hear that Kodi's wound is disappearing and that your meds are working. Hope it all continues for you.
FW - I enjoyed work, but it made me realise just how much I love being at home IYKWIM. My mum loved having DD and so did DH so it was nice for all. Especially nice was the day I came home, DD looked at me and said "Mummy!" and looked straight at my mum and said "Bye Bye". Poor mum!!!!!! I haven't seen my boss yet, going in at the end of next week to pick up my pay. She's still away at the moment.
SP - Forgot to answer the other day - yes, DH telling his boss where to stick it did make him feel heaps better, except now the b#$%^&* won't pay him. GRRRRRR> All okay though, we'll fix that tomorrow ;)
And from me - DH has two weeks worth of work that has come in so YAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! We still have a roof over our heads for now! MIL is continuing to stress us out, getting a mediator to phone DH. So I guess she might consider taking us to court next. We're ready for that though, wrote out 15 pages of things that she has done. Was the most emotionally scarring thing I think I've ever done. DD is almost over her cold, thank goodness. She has started asking for things now, tonight was her bottle, so pretty cool!

Corelly - Great news about the job for DH! I hope you find justice with MIL. I feel for you in your battle at present. It can really shake your foundations at times.
Yes this thread has a lot of lovely people in it indeed!!
FW - thank you for the support. I am back at work tomorrow - Blah! Will miss my family but I do feel strong enough now. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Did you get some nice pressies? Enjoy your Engagement planning.
Kell - hope you are having FUN!
Mo - Sounds like a tough journey you walk. I hope you are feeling stronger today (hugs). (still no emoticons?!)
T is improving but nappy rash is still a problem. Got cream via doctor which helped a bit. Not sure if she is reacting to all the cows milk since I weaned her? Would like to try something non cows milk based like soy but dont know which one tastes the best. Any suggestions ladies?
