Maybe I just dont go for close fitting clothes as she is still small but I find 00s a bit short in the sleeve and leg now.

Mo - best of luck with the allergies - it can be a long road - had that one with DS1. Still going through it at 19 yrs so I cant be too positive unfortunately. Some people do get quick answers however and I hope that is Kodi's case :pray:
DS1 had rice milk for ages with OK results. I think you can supplement it. What is K on now? DS1 doesnt take any milk products even now and wheat is a problem too.

She is on soy, won't have bar of rice or oat milk. last time she tried her poo's were still runny not sure if they were the cause tho.
I just hoping her weight gains have picked up, last weigh in she had dropped from the 25th to the 10th.

With the clothes 00 fit K nicely she's only 72cms, I do put 0 on if she has a bulky cloth nappy as the 00 become ankle bashers lol. 1's just swim on her, a top is like a dress, shorts are like pants, the pants have to be rolled up & unless you can adjust the waist they just fall down.

DD is in 0's and 1's. Finding the pants in size 1 are enormous which is nice for us because as a newborn she was in huge sizes due to her plaster and brace for her hips!!

She is STILL sick. I finally got well enough to drive and took her to the doctors a week ago, where it was found she had a minor ear infection, a general cold and because my mum has it, we got her checked for whooping cough, which came back negative. Then she had a reaction to the antibiotics so we had to start again. Poor love got the worst nappy rash I've ever seen. Screamed when she filled her nappy, again when I cleaned her and forget a bath. She's starting to get better though, so hopefully we'll be hitting that playgroup soon. On top of it all, she cracked a new tooth, just to add to the overall grumpiness.

Been a bit busy trying to find a new job so been MIA. Skye is in size 1's. No idea how long she is or how much she weighs. I guess I'll find out next week at her needles.
Corelly, glad she's starting to feel better. Poor little thing! We've been camping three times with both girls. It's been great especially at this age. Skye LOVES running around outdoors and getting filthy. Hehehehehehhehheheh. We do the whole hog too, no running water etc. Love it! :D

I have had to put the spot books away as she just rips the things off, she is such a wild thing. She got a lovely bee one for her birthday that pops up she ripped the bee off in like 5 secs!! that is put away too

She soooo loves dirt, sticks and rocks shes love to be outside all day long getting filthy :D

Heres my whinge for the day - ive had enough of teething and she only has five teeth so stacks to go :o

Has anyone else got a picky eater - some days it feels like she eats nothing and she insists on feeding herself. Seems like more on the floor than in her mouth. What to do?

yep, chels is a picky eater. i feel like i am not feeding her enough too. the only thing she is guaranteed to eat is those puree food mixxes in a squeezy container. i feel guilty feeding them to her all the time but at least she is eating something.

i am back at work thursdays and fridays now too. chelsea wasnt impressed. i am in child care and the girls come with me to work. last week i was in the toddler room and i could hear chelsea screaming alll day. you know that breaking point scream where you just have to go pick up your baby and cuddle them... well it was like that but i couldnt do anything. poor baby! she is super clingy now too!

Immi is a bit of a picky eater too.

Anybody else have a non-walker still? I'm not worried, I didn't walk till 15mo but just curious to see who else is left with a cutie crawler?

Kellbell - Yep, DD is super picky with food. One day she'll devour a sausage, and I'll be thinking "awesome" and the next time I cook one up for her, she won't touch it. Some days it feels like all she'll eat is toast. Frustrating, isn't it?

Jellyfish - DD has only just started crawling so we're a bit off walking yet. It may not count though because she was braced up for so long. She's been commando crawling for a little while, and has only just got the confidence this last week to crawl normally, and fast too! She can stand up, but can't figure out how to walk around holding onto furniture.

Better go, she's chucking a wobbly!!!!!

Yes that exactly what she does she seems to love something i make it again and she wont have a bar of it :shakehead:

JF sometimes i wish K wasn't walking, it's getting to be a real pain taking them both out.

Kell, Kodi will try anything problem is she'll only feed herself so she only ends up so much in her mouth.

Who's still b/fing & how many times a day are they feeding?

I'm still b/feeding around 3 times a day. She's wanting it more in the morning feeds so I've been able to give her cow's milk with her lunch. Am starting to think about weaning though, anyone else at that stage?

We are down to 2 feeds morning & night, trying to drop the morning ones but it's not working lol
Yep Corelly, i want to wean her so i can go back on my meds.

we are still breastfeeding too. still lots of little snacks. (no longer than 5 mins) not at all when i am at work. HOWEVER.. over night is starting to drive me nuts! she seems to have gone back in her sleeping habits and is attached to my all night. she has a bottle of cows milk before bed but can still wake up 2-3 hours for breast. so i think it is just a sleeping habit.

Ella has weaned herself :cry:
I would have been happy to keep going for alot longer but she completely lost interest
I miss our breast feeding time.
I hope our next bubba wants to go longer than a year

We are still feeding to sleep here, it's the only way that I am able to cope with a bad back and such a heavy little girl. So probably 2 or 3 feeds a day and 1 overnight, depending on whether A has 2 sleeps or 1 sleep during the day.

Even though she gets a bit grumpy, I've been trying to transition to 1 big sleep instead of 2 small sleeps during the day. It was getting to the point where she would fall asleep in the pram on our evening walk and then wouldn't go to bed til really late.

I am really lucky that Alexandra is an awesome eater. She eats pretty much everything that I eat and like Kodi she is a stubborn little "I can feel myself" girl. She has pretty good control with her spoon and fork and will eat yoghurt, chunky pea and ham soup, shepherd's pie using the cutlery. Although she does have her days where she lets me know that she's finished by throwing everything on the floor

Kellbell - Just noticed your "hoping for a 2011 bubba" line in your sig :D That's exciting!When are you guys going to start TTC?

Hollo - Poor Chelsea and poor you, it must be so hard hearing her cry and having to concentrate on looking after other people's kids. Do you get a discount on child care for your girls because you work there?

Mo - I was thinking about you the other day and whether you'd weaned K. Are you replacing the morning feed with soy milk? Allergies suck big time!

JF - How are you and Immi going? I think it's cute that she is content to crawl around. I reckon that Alexandra started walking out of frustration that crawling was taking to long to get everywhere!

FF-K has a feed around 6pm & will wake up at 4am for another then she is on soy all day.
We are really lucky she loves soy, i read that a lot of kids out grow it by 3 so fingers crossed K does too.
K is pretty much down to one sleep for the exact same reasons, She would end up going to bed at 11pm because of her days sleeps.

Hollo K was the same with the all night feeding, i really feel for you there.

Yep we've decided to try for another baby. Think my partner is more clucky than me :lol:
Who knows how long it will take, took a while to get Ella so hopefully well be blessed with another baby soon.
We always wanted two years between them - i really have a strong feeling well get another march baby. Im pretty excited to think of another baby!!!! also terrified at the same time if that makes sense

Hi everyone,

We're just giving one bottle at about 3am now. No more bottles during the day. S is a good eater but can be picky. I'm not so worried about it second time around because she has plenty of gorgeous rolls so she's obviously getting something in there. Still haven't got her needles done. I need to get A looked after so that I can devote all my attention to S and I just haven't been able to get anyone available yet. Only a month late :s

We're not having anymore kids. We'd always only planned on having two and we are so done. I'm ready to move on from the baby stage and enjoy them growing up and us doing things as a family rather than planning our family iykwim? I'm happy to live vicariously through my friends IRL and on here :D

Kell - all the breakable books have been put away in DD1's room and they only come out at night for a read at bedtime until DD2 is old enough to just read them and not rip into them! I love books and would hate for all these beautiful books to be ruined. Good luck with TTC! How exciting! I know what you mean about being terrified at the same time. I was exactly the same.

Hollo - that must break your heart hearing her cry. Big hugs to you. It's nice that you can have the girls close at work :)

S went down to one sleep at 10 months. She just did not want the arvo one and I wasn't going to force the issue. She was happy enough when she was up. Periods of rubbing eyes and a tiny bit grumpy but then she'd be right after five minutes. So yeah, she kinda gave it up herself. It's nice because she has it early, is awake about 1pm so I have lots of time to do things in the afternoon. I think DD1 is starting to give up her only day sleep though, so I don't know what I'm going to do about that!

Gosh heaps of catching up to do! I have been busy with work stuff.

Found a playgroup sort of thing that suits - the reading time at the library! They sing action songs and have activities as well as stories. T loves it! I dont have to do anything which is cool as I am working most days and Friday is my only day to chill with her. And my Dad goes on the same time slot to do his internet thing so I see him too!

Breats feeding - well - would like to wean (I suppose;)) as it would be freer for me but T is a booby baby and still tugs at my top at times so we have a morning snuggle, an avo snack, and feed before bed but she goes in cot awake - no fuss surprisingly and seems to say good night in her gobble di gook way.
Sleeps - 2hours in a.m. and 1 hour or so in late avo. Bed time is between 7.30 and 8pm mostly. Sleeps through now since taking lots of solid food
Solids - feeds herself and drinks from a small plastic tea cup some cows milk at meal times. She doesnt like the Toddler s26 any more! Weird. Kinda fussy with solids at times too and likes to throw her dish on the floor as well as feeding the dog selected bits. "dogs dont like fruit and salad!" I say all the time.

Hollo - That must have been really difficult for you. I hope it improves. I wondered how they manage so many bubs at child care re sleeps and crying and stuff. T has been very clingy and mums girl since i returned to more work.

Kell - I hope you are blessed with another little one soon. That sounds awesome! How is work going at your end? T loves dirt too and out doors is her fav. The playground is fun now and she points at all of them as we pass. We have pink gumboots - too cute I say!

Mo - Best of luck with the allergies and I'm glad she likes soy. You are lucky not having AF. I have been on minipill since 7 months and just lately have been getting bleeds too often. Anyone else had that? Not supposed to on MP.

Someone told me they put chilli on their nipples to wean their baby - that sounds so mean!! How far would you go to wean? I had trouble weaning DS1 and I just dried up naturally at 13 months (working might have done it) but he used to hit his head on my chest and scream for a while - heart breaking. I dont want that to happen this time. I love feeding her but I dont want her to be too old and still asking for milk from me - I find it a bit embarrasing personally. How do others feel about it?

Nik - 3am for a bottle must me tough! Are you up at that time anyway?

We're no where near even thinking about TTC. It's a scary path for me at the moment. Chances of having another baby with DDH is high, and I don't know if I want to put a baby through all of that again. Plus I'm just so tired all the time. I might feel differently when DD starts sleeping well. She slept through for three nights in a row last week, so that was awesome. Maybe we're at the start of it!

When you put it like that, I'm not sure that I'd go back either. That's gross! Our playgroup is pretty well maintained and everyone pitches in at the end to wipe down chairs and tables and clean the floor (the kids all sit down and have morning tea) I would highly suggest creating a thread in the member meet ups area and create your own playgroup of bb members with littlies around the same age. If we were still in Brisbane and not the middle of nowhere that's what I'd be doing. It's cheaper, you can do it at a time and place that suits you and you don't have to worry about there being a "clicky" group. I met another newbie at playgroup the other day and I got along with her really well so hopefully we'll be able to do some play dates outside of playgroup too.

We haven't been to any library sessions yet. I have to find out the times - I know that they do story time a few times a week. Are the kids supposed to sit down quietly? because that might be a problem, haha.

SP - chilli on nipples sounds super mean to me, I bet it didn't take very long to work! I'm of the attitude that it'll happen when A is ready, same with sleep. I have given up fighting her to sleep so if she isn't ready I'll bring her out and try again later. One less thing for me to stress about. But this is what works for us and it might not work for other people

Work is going good. i have moved hospitals closer to home about five minutes down the road and i am really happy. I miss Ella but i am liking the stimulation of work. Everyone has been really nice to me so very grateful for that and to get out of where i was working as i was hating it!

We used to go to a library music thingy def a good way to meet other mums. the kids def didnt sit quietly. it was a baby one so will have to look into a toddler one, im sure the librarian mentioned it once, she outgrew the baby one.

I was in a huge group through the baby clinic and there were some real not nice mums in it. its broken up now but still meet regularly with a couple of the mums. its so cute how they are starting to play together!

I bought a whole lot of HPT's off ebay now i have to hold off till next week to test and not test early. I need to forget about it for a week. i doubt wed get that lucky the first month but i guess ill find out next week. I will NOT test till next week i really do not like the :2ww:

Kell that is so exciting! I can imagine you fighting the urges to test early. No babies for me in the near future so I'm gonna take a page out of Nik's book and live vicariously through you :D

My partner has opened his big mouth to his family, well he says only one person and it has spread like wildfire to everyone in his whole family that we are trying again. MEN!!!!!!!

I really want hardly anyone to know in the first 12 weeks so im going to have to stitch his mouth closed :D

Kell my DF was the same, i m/c at 7wks before Kodi so i didn't want anyone to know till i was 12wks but he couldn't keep his mouth shut men!

Hehe Kell, I'd warn him that if he's going to go on like this that you're not going to tell him when you get a positive result!!!!! I can imagine that would get your point across!!!

Good luck Kell. I'm glad work is suiting you better. I agree that it is stimulating being in the workplace.
My work is fine but demanding. It seems ( and someone said this to me recently) that when you return part time in an old full time job you just cram 5 days in to 3. Yep that is pretty true. I already have heaps of time in lieu saved up from working AH. And I've been asked to help facilitate the statewide conference in June! Nice opportunity but more work.

The Reading time has some rules and they recommend that you encourage your child to sit but most of the children roam around with parents supervising them. T surfed the room on the first session but sat on my lap for the 2nd and seemed to enjoy everything. I met another mum and bub which was cool. No clicks noticed yet. And no grime - OMG that sounds aweful Corelly. Glad to hear the bugs have left town at your place - no wonder you were conscious of cross infection!
FW - glad to hear you have met a local mum. Hope it works out well.
JF - sounds like you get to enjoy the baby times for longer. I think it is nice not to grow up too fast.

AFM went to doc on Monday - ordered bloods so had them done today - to check for pregnancy - OMG no! - if not pregnant then have to have smear and ultrasound. Seeing doc again Friday. Not too worried yet.

I'm am really excited that A has stopped throwing food on the floor (who would've thought that I'd get so excited over something so trivial) Now when she is finished eating she will hold up her bowl and say finished and wait for me to take it from her. Very proud moments over the last few days!

Kell - When are you testing? You are gonna tell us the results, right? ;)

SP - hope everything is ok with your blood tests

Cheshire - I hate it too when people stare. When DD was in her brace it used to kill me, because not only would they stare, they'd whisper, like, oh look at that baby's legs, wonder what's wrong with heeerrrrrr. I'd want to scream at them, I CAN HEAR YOU!!!!!!

Super Pumpkin - sounds like you had a nice time at the reading session. We'll have to wait a bit again because the bugs are back :( . Hope your blood tests come back okay.

DD's nose started to run again a couple of days ago and she's been clogged up horribly since. She's happy enough, but grrrrrr. Thanks so much playgroup peoples!!!

What's everyone doing for mother's day? We're doing the Mother's Day Classic walk around the botanic gardens in the morning and then my mum and stepfather are coming for tea. Got my Mother's Day pressies early - a pair of Collingwood socks :lol: and a digital photo frame. YAY!

Corelly, i think that's even worse & so rude.
There was a Car crash near our local shopping centre on Wednesday & 1 man was killed.
We got there just after it happened & People were taking pictures on their mobiles of the man, It was disgusting. We even heard a bunch of guys saying they were going to post it on FB.
WTF! who does crap like that.

Corelly so sorry to hear your DD is sick again, some people are just selfish :hug: to you both.

Thanks Cheshire. - Oh, I know what you mean about car crashes and things - we saw a fatal bike accident and there were cars parked everywhere - not to help, just for photo ops and to have a gawk. I just don't understand it. Maybe because DH is in the CFA too, and he and the people there experience way too much. I look the other way.
