Just got word that my cousin's girlfriend is pregnant. He just turned 20 last week :o
They've only been together a couple of months. Don't live together either. She's already got a LO and she's only 22. Hope they're going to be okay.

Corelly - hope the bugs leave your family alone soon. They can be so tough and hard to get rid of these days. As for your cousin - I understand your concern. I hope it makes a man of him. Your mother's day plans sound great.
FW - well done A! I wish T would stop throwing food on the floor.
Kell - tantrums do get worse of course but go away eventually - so embarrassing! The free parenting mag had an article on it the other day and best advice was not to respond emotionally but to reassure the child that you will help them to cope with their strong feelings. Obviously at 13 months it is more about not reinforcing the behaviour with our reactions. If the child feels you are in control then they will feel secure and the tanties should eventually reduce - over the next couple of years!! Great news of course:)
Blood tests were good so just have to wait and have a couple of other tests soon. At least the pregnancy one came back negative - that is a relief!
We celebrated MD at a fine restaurant and it was DS 2s 18th Birthday. All the immediate family came and we had a great night. I got some new clothes and slippers, a recipe journal and chocolates. Very spoiled! DH bought danishes for breakfast and we had a generally cosy day. T was terrific all day (after a terrible nights sleep!)
HAPPY MOTHER'S day to you all!
Well got a BFN :bfn:
I didn't feel like i was but was still a little disappointed
Oh well bring on the fun this month :p
 Kell. Sorry you didn't get the result you were hoping for, but you'll have another bubba on the way in no time, I'm sure. xx
SP - Thanks for the get well wishes, DD is almost over it, so hopefully it'll disappear for good now. More is coming out about my cousin, he's excited so that's a good start.
Had a really nice Mother's Day, and hope you all did too.
Corelly x
Kell i'm sorry
SP glad the results were good.
Corelly I Hope your cousin steps up & takes on the responsibility of being a father.
Sounds likes you both had a great mothers day, The girls got me a Bracelet with all our birthstones colours. It's very pretty.
Bummer about the BFN Kell - Good luck for this month!
We had a nice mothers day as well with my mum and grandma. Mum helped A to make me a card and decorate it with a heap of scrapbooking embellishments.
We haven't had any public tantrums, yet. Not looking forward to when it actually does happen though
All the best for your cousin Corelly, I hope it works out.
My exciting news is that DP is coming home in the next couple of weeks. It's been a long 5 months and we can't wait to have him back!
Sorry to hear about your BFN Kell. Crossing fingers like crazy that this month is it!!
We had a great mother's day here too. Very relaxing and got spoilt so I'm happy! Hehehehehe. We have had a couple of public tanties from DD1 but not from DD2 yet. I'm not looking forward to both of them doing it!
Well, better go. Gotta do toilet duty xxxx
FW - that is very exciting news! You must be hanging out to see him. I hope time flies now for you.
Mo - what a lovely MD present. Very thoughtful and special.
KB - Good luck for the coming months!
Corelly - I hope your cousins excitment is followed by a deep sense of responsibility
Glad to hear you all had a nice mother's day.
Last night, DH and I were having an arguement, and I was asking him why he hadn't done something. Obviously I had said 'why' a fair bit - DD piped up and said "Why, why, why". Totally cracked me up. She's starting to really make changes - she's got a set of night garden finger puppets and this morning I asked her to pick up Iggle Piggle and she did, then did the same with Makka Pakka and she did that too. When I say "Woof woof" she says "Puppy". I'm a bit excited! She's pretty cranky today, a bit bored maybe. We've been cooped up in the house for a couple of days. Yesterday, I just wanted a day at home, but today DH took my keys to the car and house to work with him accidentally, so I couldn't even get the pram out of the car to go for a walk!! Whoopsie. I've been pulling out all different toys that I've had put away for her and crawling up and down the hallway with her, but it's just not cutting it. Poor munchkin. We've got a specialist appointment at RCH for her tomorrow, so she won't like that much either.
Hope you're all out there having some fun
Corelly x
Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow Corelly. It's so cute when they understand what you are saying to them. I think A's cutest moments are when it's bath time and you say "bath" to her. She starts to wave and runs down the hallway to the bathroom, loves her bath
That would be so annoying being stuck at home all day. We love to go for a walk to the shops with the dogs almost every morning, except for when playgroup is on. And A is always sneaking outside to sit or play with the dogs and pick cherry tomatoes off the bush. Yesterday arvo we went to visit some little girls around the corner from where we live and played on their trampoline and in their sandpit. I haven't heard A laugh and giggle that much for a long time.
How is everybody? Been a bit quiet the last couple of days.
We have booked flights and will be at the airport to meet DP on the 24th. I am so excited, we've booked a self contained unit for 4 nights and will be staying with friends for another 2 nights. DD is going to be beside herself when she sees her daddy in person again
Not long now FW bet you are counting down the days!
Well i don't know what my body is doing!!!! I def not pregnant but AF refuses to come where could she be :wall: she is so evil!!!!!! Just come already so we can try this month. It should be over by now instead she is not here :o
Almost a week late now and very frustrated i am! and im never late but preg tests say neg so i wait and wait.....and wait some more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love she understands us its so cute. Ella also runs for the bath after dinner!
Though we had a horrible weekend with her teeth she has cut three at once poor munchkin - teeth are no fun!
What has everyone else been up too???
FW - How exciting! Your time away sounds fun. I feel for you having so long apart.
Kell - Arent our bodies fickle sometimes!
We had a catch up with all the friends and bubs today. T is the only real walker. All the bubs are so cute I just want to cuddle them. I think babies are really my thing you know. It is a shame having a couple of little ones is so much hard work. If I could stay home I'd have another one for sure.
I am definitely counting down the days! We have some catching up with friends to do while we are in Brisbane but Mon/tue/wed will be pure family time possibly with a bit of shopping in thrown in for good measure :)
Kell - That is annoying about AF. I have only had AF once since having DD even though we're not breastfeeding that much anymore
SP - Babies are so cute hey. At playgroup the other day I was holding an 8month old little boy and he was really tiny compared to A at that age. He was sitting on my lap and A came up and tried to push him out of the way. It was so cute and I had to try not to laugh - she is very protective of her mummy!
A is fascinated with bellies at the moment, blowing raspberries on my belly, playing with the hair on grandad's belly. And her latest thing tonight was trying to stick her fingers down her throat. I kinda laughed before I knew what she was doing. I laugh at her alot and find it difficult to try to contain it sometimes, especially when she's doing something that I don't want to encourage
I know its hard not to laugh at them. you know its cute in a 14 month old but wont be cute in a year. Ella can do a farting noise, we think its funny but we prob should stop laughing at it
FW - So close now!
Kell - Hope you get a good result soon :)
DD also does the whole shoving her hand in her mouth and gagging, and I too can't help but laugh. Terrible isn't it? But the thing that I just love and adore right now is that in the mornings I bring her into my bed to feed her and then we go back to sleep, once she wakes up again, she wriggles up and rests her head on mine and makes this "mwah" sound. So nice to wake up to that!
We had our hip surgeon's appointment yesterday, she's now been brace free for three months and the awesome news is everything is fine with her hips and we don't have to have another checkup for a whole year! YAY!! So we are DONE for a while with surgeons and specialists!!!!! WHOO HOO!
Hope everyone is well
Corelly x
FANTASTIC NEWS CORELLY!!!!!! I'm so happy for you and DD. You must be over the moon. Very cute about the kisses in the morning. Gorgeous :)
Hi everyone! In the middle of dinner rush, gotta go! xx
:leap: thats great Corelly she must be doing great if you don't have to go back for a whole year!!!!!
Also AF showed herself finally :) now i hope she stays away for a long time like last time at least 18 months or more
Fingers crossed this is the lucky month for us :crossfingers:
Kell hoping this is your month :)
Corelly that is wonderful news, i can only imagine how happy you all must be.
So very happy for you all :D
Thanks heaps girls, we're pretty stoked here right now!
Nothing much to say for the minute really. DD is finally looking like the sniffles are leaving. I need to get back on the weightloss bandwagon. I was doing really well too before Christmas, lost the 9kg I put on when pregnant plus another 5kg, then slackened off once the hot weather hit and I'm finding it hard to get walking again. The chocolate keeps calling me from the drawer.....!!
Corelly x
Yay Corelly! That is such great news!
I am on the weight loss bandwagon atm too. There is a BB challenge thread in the diet, weight loss and exercise section that I have just joined to help give me a kick start for the home stretch.
I am busy atm packing and organising for next week. I've cooked up some muffins to freeze and take with us so that we have healthy snacks to eat during the day instead of buying fast food
Hi everyone!
DD yesterday climbed on me and then got herself up onto the couch  . Cheeky devil! She can't walk yet, but she's climbing? Go figure!! Going to finish B/F this weekend. Feel its the right time, although I might be a blubbering mess this time next week! We'll see! DD quit having a dummy a couple of months back, so she really grizzles sometimes when she wants a comfort feed and she just will not take the dummy. So it'll be lots of distractions around the feed time. DH and I are going out for dinner on Sat night so hopefully she'll go to sleep for my mum and we can avoid it altogether!
She can say "Nice" and "No" now and says "Puppy" when we say woof woof to her. Cute as!
FW - I don't expect to see you on here anytime soon with DP back!! How exciting! Hope you enjoy your time away and you get some "us" time together before family and friends stop by. Enjoy!
Hi to everyone else and hope you're all okay!
Corelly x
Popping in to say Hi & see how everyone is doing?
Both girls are good, Kodi is becoming a chatterbox, her new thing it to put her hand out & say STOP.
Soooo cute.
Ella is sick this week she has a cold and a temp poor baby
I hate it when they are sick :cold:
Are any of you toddlers into tv shows yet? what are there favs?
She seems to love yo gabba gabba this week i dont normally let her watch too much and shes normally too busy to sit and watch telly but has been watching the abc kids shows in the morning being sick this week and she is transfixed by it.
My SIL is having a girl i got to go to her scan yesterday the 4d one she is 28 weeks. Her baby has been refusing to show whether they were a boy/girl but def a girl. very cute i am excited to be an aunty in 12 weeks :D
Going to make me even more super clucky if that is possible!
Where has everyone gone?
Its pretty quiet in here :D
We have a household of sick people here - dont think there will be any lucky BFP this month feeling as sick as a dog :cold:
I'm here just nothing interesting to report.
Still no AF but i'm getting some bad cramps so here is hoping she is here soon.
Kell hope you all feel better soon :)
I'm here too. Flitting in and out though - have a very very sick horse at the moment and hoping he pulls through :(
Kell - Hope you all get better soon. Those bugs suck. DD is still into night garden, but she's getting excited if I can get Waybaloo on at the right time!!
Hope everyone else is well.
Corelly x
Hope your horse is okay its not fun when they are sick
How many do you own? - i used to ride heaps before i had Ella and always wanted my own horse
I cant wait till she is big enough to go for a ride
I have two old boys, Kell. 26 & 27 years old, had them since they were 8 & 9. The older one went downhill fast yesterday. He stopped eating and drinking and was breathing really heavy. Heartrate was 80, should be 40. He's had two goes with tubes into his nose to get some water into his belly, and when that happens, he eats, but we can't get him to drink on his own. He's had blood tests that have come back with no infections and nothing sinister, so we have no idea what's wrong. They both live at my mum's house, so I'm going back there tomorrow again with the vet to rehydrate him again, but we don't know what else to do. He can't keep going like this. In the entire time we've had him we've only had the vet out to him twice, once for an injury and once for dermatitis. So this is all a bit scary and I don't like where it's headed. He's always been my boy and I love him dearly.
Wow, sorry, that was a bit long. Let you know what happens. Sick of all this bad luck, time for the good luck fairies to shine my way, me thinks!!
Corelly x
Fingers crossed he comes good. Whats his name?
They really get into your heart don't they i just love horses.
Had a good friend lose there boy Coots a big black horse last Friday and its devastating
He was such a beautiful horse makes me sad thinking about it. She had a lovely poem on facebook about him running free but much rather have them here with us xoxox
Hope he starts drinking again :crossfingers:
Corelly - I hope your poor horse is OK. How long can they live?
Kell - T loves In the night garden and Bananas in pyjamas. She hasnt seen anything else though!
Cheshire - hope your aunt visits soon. I really cant imagine missing her though!!;)
We are off to Lorne tomorrow as I have to speak and facilitate at a conference there and DH and DD are coming. Should be fun and full on too! We will spend the weekend in Apollo Bay afterwards and visit friends.
Sorry for MIA but SUPER busy:o
Kell - his name is Red. Hardly anything exciting or original! He's a beautiful chestnut and he turns a really rich red in summer. Our other one is Indy, a big bay boy. They've been best mates forever now and we've had to seperate them and Indy's just whinnying all the time. Not easy.
SP - the length of time horses can live for really varies. For a horse well cared for, can be anywhere around 30, but I'd consider anything 30+ as something really special. My boys were in harness racing before we got them, and worked pretty hard from a very excited teen rider  when we got them, but have had a very lazy few years as they've gotten older. Good luck for the conference, and I hope you get a little bit of sun while you're in Lorne. What is the conference?
Anyway, DD is well and chatting up a storm. This week she can say Nonna, bottle, book and Makka Pakka. Was hilarious when she came out with that last one!
Corelly x
Bron if i didn't want to start TTC soon, i'd be more than happy for her stay away lol.
I just hope it's not heavy & painful.
Corelly sorry to hear about your horse & i hope Red starts picking up soon.
Hey girls, I'm back! We are slowly getting back into the swing of things. DP is looking for a job and hopefully he'll pick up something close to family soon. It's good to have him back but I'm actually looking forward to him going back to work :)
Will be back for personals later, hope everyone is well.
Welcome back FW! I can imagine how much you're loving DP being home again!
Good news from me! Red picked up and started to eat and drink again! The vet this morning came out with the belief that she would have to put him to sleep, but he was okay before she got there and his heart rate is normal again. PHEW! We don't know what caused it, but are thinking that maybe he's eaten something suss, then has refused to eat or drink because it was causing pain, which then led to him getting sick really fast. I'm so so relieved he's okay. Thanks for the well wishes everyone.
Corelly x
Great news Corelly about Red!!!!! :leap:
What a relief!!!!
Welcome back FW must be great having him back :D
DP proposed last week, I guess I should be calling him DF now :D We are pretty excited and will be having a huge engagement party in the next couple of months, the wedding won't be for at least a year.
We had such a nice time in Brisbane and caught up with a lot of friends. We were all exhausted by the end of the week though from all of the running around. We're having a b'day party next weekend for Alexandra which will mainly be family so that will be fun.
Corelly - How did you go with weaning? We are nowhere close to weaning yet, in fact A has been wanting boobie more over the last week. Good news that your horse has come good - I think that we become attached to animals just as much as humans, especially when you've had Red for so long.
Kell - A still watches Yo gabba gabba and she also watches chuggington sometimes. We have pay tv at my parents so can tabe it on the mystar box thing and generally when I want to get something done I'll put on an episode for 15-20mins of quiet time. Wow, that time has gone really fast for you SIL, doesn't seem like that long ago when you first told us that she was pregnant.
Mo - That's exciting, another one of us TTC. We probably won't be trying again til next year. Is there anyway that you can bring on AF? I started the minipill recently and got AF for the second time since A was born 2 days after I took the first tablet, not sure if it was a coincidence or not.
SP - Hope that the conference goes well and that you get a chance to relax as well :)
OH FW!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You must be over the moon! What an exciting time ahead for you.
Weaning is going okay. I gradually have dropped feeds since she turned one and she dropped the morning feed to my surprise herself a few weeks ago. I totally stopped on Friday, and Sunday has been the worst of it. She was crying, I was crying, so I went and had a long shower and by the time I came out, she was asleep with DH. She's on cows milk with her breakfast and lunch and I give her a cup of formula before she goes to bed, but I think once I've finished the tin, I'll just go with the cows milk. It's been pretty uncomfortable for me, even with only the one feed per day. I've expressed every day just to comfort level and last night was the first night I didn't need to and I'm still okay today.
Hope everyone is well. What are all the babies eating these days?
Corelly x
Congarts FW, That is great news :)
Corelly K will try/eat anything. He favs are finger foods, pasta, Chicken & she loves fish.
Maddi on the other hand would be happy to live off yoghurt & Cheese.
Hi everyone!
Just thought I'd say hi and see what everyone's up to. We've been busy over here, took DD on her first train ride into the city today, and she was just so good. She's really starting to talk now, lots of different words. We're having so much fun with it, seeing what she says next. She's finally falling asleep for DH, which is just a lifesaver for me, and actually starting to go to bed between 8.30-9pm so I'm finally beginning to feel a bit more human and DH and I can have a bit of time together after he gets home from work.
That's it from me, off to bed.
Corelly x
