Just getting over our flu's from the last few weeks!
Yep heaps of new words here too. she actually called out jamie to her uncle jamie he was stoked.
yah for Mo that's so exciting about ttc again - maybe we will end u in another baby buddy group together!!!!
I feeling a bit down about our ttc - id forgotten how much i hate the waiting - waiting to ovulate waiting to test. also two of the mums in our playgroup are about to pop again and it makes me wish it was me. i know he/she will be worth the wait just hope it happens sooner rather than later. Am holding no hope for this month. think ill just wait for AF to come and not bother testing.
Ella will eat most things when shes in the mood. some days not much some days alot. she doesn't seem to like chicken but still loves her vegies and fruit and of course anything that is sweet although try to limit it as much as i can.

Kell I'm with you on waiting part, I honestly thought AF would be here by now & there still no sight of her. So darn depressing! Looking more & more likely that I'll have to wean K, then I'll feel selfish for doing that just so we can have another baby.

We are pretty busy atm. Looking for jobs for both of us in the hope that one of us will pick up something soon. DF is doing some part time work and I'm applying for a FT position that come with a subsidised house which is exactly what we want. The job is pretty exciting so fingers crossed that I get an interview.

We are having an afternoon tea/birthday party for A this weekend so I've been doing some baking to have some yummy stuff to eat. Will be getting stuck into the cake tomorrow, hopefully it works out ok! It will mainly be family at the party and only a handful of kids so it shouldn't be too stressful. If anyone has any tips or do's and don't's I am always open to suggestions ;)

Kell - Yep, waiting sucks. When we were TTC I felt like I was just permanently counting and then get muddled and spend forever looking at the calendar counting the days again. Hope you get some good news soon with some lovely pregnancy symptoms. Weaning is done for me and DD. She had her last feed about three weeks ago and we've only had one night of serious tears thank goodness. It was a horrid night too. And I've been able to stop expressing now too. Oh and the glass of wine was FANTASTIC!!

Mo - Don't feel selfish about weaning K. You've done a wonderful job, and instead of feeding her, you'll be giving her a gift of a little brother or sister.

So what else.....oh Red is good again, thank goodness. We were even able to reunite the two boys again - they'd been kept seperate while Red was sick, for the first time in 15 years. I'm sure all the whinnying that was going on kept the neighbours awake :) . DD is beginning to say ABCD, so funny. If we say A, she'll say B, then we say C, then she says D. No matter which letter we start with, she knows the next one! Only up to D though. Can't quite believe that really. I guess it's all those nights of singing the alphabet song to her while trying to get her off to sleep. It's her lullaby!

FW - Congratulations - that is the best news!! Has it been hard to get a booking for reception? Everyone I know seems to book a year or two ahead these days!
Corelly - Well done with the weaning. I wreckon I'm not firm enough with T so I let her just keep wanting mum. She will take the cup at night but still wants the comfort suck. I'm hoping my supply just dwindles naturally with reduced time at breast. Yay that your horse is better! Your little girl is very clever to know some alphabet!
Cheshire and Kell - good luck with TTC. I hate waiting for anything and I think the 9 months of being pregnant are a real drag too. We are always wating eh!
JF - nice to hear from you too.

The conference was great and bubs was popular of course. Lorne is lovely but it is winter down here - cold but sunny. Had a few relaxing days when the conference was over. It was the round up of the Victorian Dual Daignosis Initiative and the Improved services initiative to look at sustainability of system change projects (sorry you asked? : ))

Bron glad you had a nice time away, it would of been cold down there at night time.

JF so nice to hear from you, I bet next time you post your DD is running every where :)

Kodi is doing so well, she eats like a little champ, talks constantly even if it's only babbling. Follow Maddi every where.
I can't believe how fast she is growing up.
AF has finally shown up yay. I just hope it's not heavy, i don't suffer from horrible cramps & she doesn't stay long lol
I'm so happy i wont have to wean K just yet & that we can start TTC this month!

just a quick one from work. AF is due tuesday. Think she might be early this month as feeling quite moody and like she is close. Yah wed be in the same group. fingers crossed it works for both of us this month - wed get march bubbas again! Not going to bother testing this month i hate seeing that single depressing line. So waiting for her to show herself so we cab try again :-)

Kell i still have my fingers crossed for you this month, i know what you mean about that depressing single line it can really ruin your whole day!

As for me i guess it wasn't AF after all, what ever little bleeding i had is now gone. I've got no idea what's happening but i do know that we wont be TTC this month now :(

Oh guys I hope this is not going to be upsetting to you but I have just had 2 positive preg tests over the weekend!
It is a little upsetting for me and DH actually as we are not TTC. I had to go off the mini pill at the beginning of May due to unexplained bleeding and BANG! Of course we will be pleased as soon as the shock dies off!!
T is still BF 2 times a day.
Anyway hope you are all well. Will let you know more soon.

Jane so hard but when K is crying & M goes and gets her fav toy to cheer her up it's worth it!

Health will always be sucky I think. I refuse to have the op, unless of course i get cancer then I'll have no choice. Never know they might come out with some better drugs oneday soon.

SP I remember when i found out I was preg with M, when I saw those 2 lines I just cried. It was a real shock & it took about 2 weeks for it to wear off. Then I saw her HB & I was so in love :-)

Corelly - Glad that you've got your horses back together again, I bet that they're both loving it.

Kell - Good luck for next week! Hopefully you won't be seeing AF for at least the next 9 months!

We had a great weekend and a really nice b'day party for Alexandra. The foofa caked turned out pretty good, will have to put some pics on FB. I wasn't really expecting people to bring presents because her b'day was 2 months ago but she got quite spoilt with new clothes and toys, her favourites being a winnie the pooh teddy and a little puppy that you pull on a string.

The job that I applied for closes tomorrow and I think that i've got a pretty good chance of at least getting an interview. Starting to get a bit nervous though about if I do go back to work full time - I'm not sure how DF will go looking after DD everyday. She is a real mummy's girl atm and we're still feeding to sleep for her day sleep and when she goes to bed at night.

Wow SP thats great i am really happy for you. Hope its a happy and healthy 9 months ahead.

Yep work is okay sometimes its nice to talk to other adults and Ella has coped really well - i get special hugs and cuddles when i come home in the arvo she gets so excited its really cute. Also think it has been good for Jason to see how much time and work they actually take up in the day and they have there own special time now which is good as well. Saying that id be a stay at home mum in a flash if we could afford it :)

I'm tired right now and should go to bed. DD has been waking up all over the place lately, shaking and really upset. She's already sitting up in her bed when I get to her and stacks on a real turn when I try to lie her down, so I've been bringing her back to bed with me. Problem is, DH is a super chainsaw snorer and when DD is in bed with us, I can't reach him to belt him!!!!! DD sleeps and I stay wide awake, listening, grrrrrrrr. So I take DD back to her own bed when she's asleep, but within the hour she's up again. Oh vicious circle, please go away! She's stopped napping during the day too, she's too busy chatting away, repeating everything we're saying so our swear words have been locked up. DH has been called into his work's office tomorrow, and its looking like he's going to lose his job, so bit stressed there too. Wish that good luck fairy would see me waving like a maniac, wanting her attention, but she's been ignoring me for a long long time.

Problem is, DH is a super chainsaw snorer and when DD is in bed with us, I can't reach him to belt him!!!!! DD sleeps and I stay wide awake, listening, grrrrrrrr.

Earplugs!!! We have the same issue here and this is the only way that we can sleep in the same bed. Sometimes it is still hard to get back to sleep because I can hear the snoring even through the earplugs but they work probably 8 times out of 10 :)

I hope that everything goes ok with your DH's work tomorrow, that kind of stress can really take a toll on you

My partner is exactly the same def a chainsaw snorer. I have to be asleep before him or i cant get to sleep. I have to cover my head some nights just to block it out. sometimes when i kick him off his back i get some peace!!!!!

Kell - Completely understand the money issues. We are doing ok considering that neither of us has worked for more than 6 months, DF is doing some part time stuff atm, we're just hanging around til one of us can get a full time job. Even though I'm still on maternity leave from my old job and can go back whenever I want, I really don't want to go back to Brisbane because we'll both have to work and DD will have to go into childcare.

JM - Haven't heard anything yet. Applications closed at 11.55pm last night so hopefully by the end of the week or early next week

Back again!

DH has been given 2 weeks before he has to leave. Along with 6 other staff members. Not a good day for any of them. We're not sure what to do. We're trying to push for our own business to be strong enough to keep us going, but the phone is only just ringing and we're a little too scared to take the plunge. But what is out there at the moment job-wise isn't much. I've sent 45 emails today to try and promote his business, but no replies yet. Feel like a horrible telemarketer right now. He has enough work for our own business for 8 days, we just have to hope the phone keeps ringing. Our combined mortgage and car loan is enormous and we were hoping to get it all refinanced before he left this job because we know that banks don't like touching self-employed people until they can show some solid income, so we're racing the clock right now.

As far as the snoring goes, I'm worried if I use earplugs, I won't hear DD. And like you Kell, if I fall asleep first, I'm usually okay, if only DD wouldn't wake! She's cracked a molar through this week so maybe she'll settle again, fingers crossed.

Oh Corelly - I hope your luck turns soon! So often I have found that these seemingly negative situations bring change in a good way in the long run - I hope that is the case for you and your family. And may that baby girl sleep through the night soon to give you the strength to deal with it all.
FW - I hope you find the right job for you - soon.
Am finding I miss T more at the moment - probably hormonal. I feel a lot more positive about being UTD again now but I have a niggling fear that just as I embrace the idea something could go wrong - so a bit anxious at this point.

Super- i can't imagine having to go to work and leaving my babies, i take my hat off to you, it must be so hard some days.

Looks like K has weaned, she went to having a morning & night feed to only a morning feed & now no feeds. Been 3 days so far.
I'm kinda looking forward to having my body & being able to wear nice bras again lol

Thanks girls. I'm strangely calm and so is DH. There's nothing much going on seek so we're going to have to go it alone I think. We've got enough work for about 8 days, so hopefully the phone will just keep ringing and we'll get more work. We have absolutely no money behind us, so that's pretty scary. He lost a really well paying job last year when the GFC hit, he'd been there for 5 years and pretty much everyone lost their jobs. DD was about 6 weeks old when that happened. But he found another one quick enough. This time, he works for a company that works for BP. So due to the oil disaster, we're out on our ears again. The people that were sacked included two men in their 60s who were hoping to retire, just don't have enough $ yet, and another dad with a one year old and a SAHM for a wife. The guy who kept his job owns his house, has no financial obligations and has openly admitted to just working to top up his super. Nice one. KARMA KARMA where are you?!!!

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on it, but I'll stop talking about it.

Kell - hope Ella gets better soon, poor baby hasn't had a good run with colds lately has she? Hard to get rid of them, that's for sure.

FW - Any news on the job front yet? Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Any wedding plans underway?

SP - :hug: Know what you mean about feeling anxious that something will go wrong. Hope the first three months flies by, problem free.

JM - I'd like to believe that everything happens for a reason, so I figure I must have been an ax murderer in my past life for my unlucky life I've got!!!! :ROFL: Hope you guys have settled in well.

DD actually slept through last night, fell asleep at 8.30 and slept for 12 hours!!!! She played with her cousin all day yesterday and again today, so looking for a nice sleep tonight!

SP i really hope my cycles go back to normal now, 1 plus about not b/fing anymore i can take my meds & not have to worry about K getting the side effects. So hoping i can get it under control before i need to goto hospital.

:( sorry SP. Do you mean that breast feeding is contributing to m/c? Is that even possible? I thought it could stop ovulation but didn't know it could effect a pregnancy. I was feeding about 6 times a day when i fel preg with #2. Or have i read it wrong and you mean something else?

JM - There are varying opinions. If you are young (below 30) it is considered less of a problem but because I am over 40 and my Prog levels will be lower anyway it increases my risk of mc. As I am spotting it is considered a good idea to give up bf.
