    Red face Ummm

Oh no, dont take me wrong, I hate living with the inlaws. Its not a person thing against them thoughm they are lovely people and the kids love them so much, I just have very fixed ideas about how I want to raise MY children and they have differnt ideas and ignore mine LMAO, we have had lots of very tense moments, but Im learning to let go, and stop being so posseive (sp) of MY kids and see them more as our kids, belong to the whole family- as is more the way the chinese view it. Here the MIL mainly cares for the kids but I cant let go that much, Im am the mum and its my job to do that, feel abit sorry for like that, she lucked out with me haha.
PID is pelvic inflammatory disease, can lead to infertility (worst case), eptopic pregnancies etc as the infection leaves scar tissue. Have had to push the doctors here abit, in a country with a 1 child policy they are abit relaxed about things that may lead to infertility or cause issues with other pregnancies. We have 2 kids so they think we have finished, not realising we want atleast 1 more kid. Lucky I had a Batholin cyst removed and the surgeron has taken me under her wing and is incharge of my care. very open minded young women, her husband is a brain surgern who studied in AU so we are in good hands, now. Think Im on the mend now and hoping wont have much scaring! really want another baby, in about 1.5 -2 years.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!!! And thanks for advice re Will's routine. It is still all over the place...just give it a week to see if he settles into something.

I am going back to work next year (January - ARGH!!!) but only 5 days per fortnight...so thinking perhaps I won't drop breastfeeds as people are suggesting to me that bubs will just hold out for BF when he sees me..perhaps send sippy cup and formula for if he is desperate!

CM - congrats on pregnancy!! You are a brave woman!!!
becstar - Wow Jake is standing alone and clapping...Will walks if I hold onto his hands and holds onto furniture but hasn't got the balance thing going!
Andie E - Cam is clapping too...I clap for Will all the time but he isn't interested...but he started waving 1 month ago!
Nina- congrats on wedding...bubs in 11kg...big boy!
Hello Hayley - Ari James is just a little bigger than Will
Macca79- Another Will - does seem to be popular name!
Hello doubletrouble - you are on a big adventure...My nephew's name is Ollie!
njd - think i will go with your advice re holding out with BF - really don't want to cut back but thought I had to!
Luey - Will has just started combat crawling too!

Just want to say mum2willie make sure that by missing feeds when you go back to work that you don't get all sore and engorged. For sure keep feeding him, but unless you want to express at work then I would probably start dropping a feed. I'm happy to be corrected if you other BF mums disagree that this won't be a prob
    Take care

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me tonight. Will is going through a screaming phase right now and is a real handful. He started commando crawling on the weekend and is into everything! Plus he has become 'Mr Independent'. It is his way or the highway.

I have just discovered the wonderful world of AIO's and pre-fold cloth nappies. I love them! Am in the process of trying out different brands but the are soooo much easier then terry squares.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hi girls,

Just popping my head in here for two minutes. Will catch up with everyone re: personals at a later date.

Just wanted to back up your last post CM re: dropping BFs. I'm soon going to have to reduce BFs (tho not for another couple of months) to get ready for my return to work in April (when I want to still be BFing morning and night). Mum2willie, I wouldn't advise going "cold turkey" during the day - firstly ... ouch! secondly, I imagine you could increase the risk of getting mastitis if you suddenly "skip" 2/3 BFs. Of course, I'm presuming that Will won't see you during the day???? Just my two cents worth .

Will BBL for a "proper" catch up.

    Hi Ladies,

I have a few moments while my toast is cooking to post

Macca that is great about the nappies Whooot! I am also loving AIO's lately, since Jake got so darn wriggly it's hard to put on a nappy and a cover, so an AIO is the way to go, plus I'm getting lazier, lol.

Laura, LOL, I do that too

About the Bfing, I didn't even think about replacing BF for FF in the day. That might be the way to go Julia if you are happy with it?

doubletrouble, I still think you are a saint, I COULD NOt live with my IL's!! It must be hard when the custom is for MIL to bring up the children. And it's good you got help with the PID that must be difficult to find in a 1 child policy country. Like you said I guess infertility isn't that big of an issue to them.

Ooop gotta go, BBL I hope!

thanks for all the congratulations girls....
Our wedding was the most beautiful day of our lives....besides Cohen being born.
How have you and all your bubbas been? Cohen has started to crawl as of the 1st of Dec and on the 3rd he decided to sit up unassisted and just LOVES being mobile!! Has given me heaps of freedom too. In the last couple of days he has turned into a real character and is pulling faces and laughing....so precious! Makes us laugh ALL the time.
He is getting his 3rd tooth and it has been no sleep in this household. Back to waking 3 times a night for a bottle and screaming every time I put him in his cot for a nap during the day. Verrrrry frustrating and noooo fun for Cohen either poor lill kid. Bonjela doesn't seem to work much and I don't really like using too much panadol but I hate seeing him restless!!
Besides that not much... I can't believe that our babies are nearly 1!!! It's crazy!

    Hey there,

Not sure if you girls remember me - but I was due to have DD on March the 26th 08. However due to a severe bout of pre-eclampsia - I had DD 2 mths early on the 26th of January 08.

As she is developing at the rate of a 8 mth old, would you mind if I join this thread?

Hi Leesa. Of course you are welcome in here
What is your little munchkin up to? Mine is crawling and pulling himself up onto things. he is super cheeky and I'm sure he knows when he is doing something a bit naughty! Congrats on your BFP! I am UTD too and due July 10

Well girls Flynn is being a bit of a monster. He is super cute and super cheeky and just into everything. He is like an energizer bunny. He crawls everwhere, even through my blockades! He stands up on everything. He stands up in the bath. I hate it in the bath, I think it is dangerous and am forever saying no sit down and putting him back on he's butt and then he is up again2 seconds later, smiling at me with his huge cheeky grin!! ARGH it's driving me nuts. I sound like a broken record. Don't do that, no Flynn, sit down, get off, stop that. ARGH!!!! Give me a break buddy.
    He's pretty good otherwise.
Hope you are all well. I've got to go to bed.
    Take care.

And then of course you were flat out dealing with your Premmie NB in hospital Good to have you back, I look forward to hearing (and maybe seeing??) about your DD. Plus she will then make it 3 girls, and TONS of boys, lol. And congratulations on your BFP too!! This one was a planned one then? lol That's great news especially cos I remember you were told you couldn't have kids am I right?

Becstar - you have the best memory lol, yes, I was told I was unable to have kids - and now number 2 is en route!! And yes, this was a planned attempt! First cycle, no problems! Is there a list of who delivered when, and what the sex was etc? Or is that your awesome memory at work again?? How do I go about putting photos up?? In Belly Belly, or FB? I've got stacks of pics on FB already. And what's this news - are you UTD again too????????

Catherine - wow, another of us UTD. Are there any others? Wow, Flynn is standing up! In the bath would be a bit scary I'd imagine!

As for Maddy - she has her two bottom teeth, and I think her top two aren't too far from popping up either. She is a mover thats for sure...on the change table, I can't pin her down to change her nappy without a huge struggle. She is rolling, and really wants to crawl - so she's a bit frustrated I'd imagine! And the raspberries she blows at me while I'm trying to feed her some food makes feed times trying lol!
Maddy is well, luckily she didn't get ill from being born a premmie - she was only small. But she is catching up size wise - in leaps and bounds!

Hey ladies - it's our first Xmas with our new bubba's!!!

My baby took his first steps!!!! I am soooooo sad. He has been standing up on things for weeks now and then got clever and has be freestanding a fair bit but tonight he was holding onto the couch let go and stood for a few seconds then took two steps to the chair. Where has my baby gone. It is so unfair. I havent encouraged him in the slightest, he just wants to be like his brothers. I was hoping he would be one of those lazy babies that dont walk till they are like two or something. But I guess Scout has other ideas.

Ok enough of my poor me thing. Welcome to Mum2willie, double trouble and welcome back to leesa. Where abouts in NZ were you born doubletrouble? I am a kiwi too, born in Napier and moved here just over two years ago.

Scouts routine is all over the show too. He is only having BF for his last feed and first thing in the morning feed now, oh and if he wakes during the night then I will feed him but he is on formula during the day. My problem is I am lucky to get two bottles of 180mls into him during the day. And this is at a stretch. He is eating like a trooper tho, 1 weetbix and piece of toast for breakfast, sandwich, yogurt and fruit for lunch, veges and custard for dinner and desert. Plus snacks as well and he drinks loads of water so im not too concerned but should I be persevering with the bottles or just stick to what makes him happy? I think he is fine but I dont know if he needs more milk.

He who thinks he is clever has just woken, damn those top teeth I wish they would hurry up so I will have to leave it there but hi to everyone else and will be back later

Ahahaha! Stacey I was just coming in here to say the same thing!! How sad Jake took his first two steps last night in the kitchen to Dad! He didn't even realise he was doing it alone, lol. He's been standing by himself heaps the last couple of days, so funny to watch! He slowly stands up, and when he gets wobbly he kinda crouches a little until he gets his balance, then stands back up again So cute. I'm trying to get video or a photo but whenever I find and return with the camera he's off crawling.

I tried to get back in yesterday but couldn't. I think it was the site??

Oh, I added Leesa on FB too so if you see that I am friends with a Leesa ***** then that's her Look out Leesa you'll have us all coming to find you!! Maddy is gorgeous and doing so well!!

Oh and my news, no I am not UTD Leesa, TG!!!! I'm all done We signed a contract on a house the other day It's an hour from here, so we have to move to a new area which is a little daunting. Plus just all the worries/stresses of buying and moving!

oh gotta go, Ben is whinging today.....fun.

ETA - Leesa, a list of who, what when were?? Hmm...I don't know. We did way back when they were born....... We can start for you though I'll just do Jake and you can all add?? is that ok?? Maybe just add in where you all fit for b'days?

    Thanks for doing that Andie.

That is so cool that you have got a house Bec! Congrats!

Well done Leesa defying those experts that said you couldn't have kids!! That is awesome! I'm coming to find you on FB

Flynn is still not his usually happy self. I don't know what's going on. If it's teeth they are taking their sweet time. We didn't have this much trouble with the last ones? He has taken to waking thru the night and not just crying but screaming. And he keeps going even when he is being held last night I couldn't even get him to take a bottle. I couldn't handle it (mainly the screaming and arching away) so DH settled him. I'm thinking about going to see the MCHN and she what she thinks might be going on. SIGH Any suggestions???
