Wow I have been MIA havent I?
I was just sitting here thinking this time last year i was having pains and excitedly waiting for my baby. Now as I look at him pulling himself on to the couch and chasing his brothers around (with two massive bruises on his forehead I might add) I cant believe a whole year has nearly passed.

Master Scout is the "he who shall be obeyed" in our house. It is quite shocking what I let him get away with,

when I think of my other boys I never would have done it with them, the way I am with him.

He is dynamite though. He is very confidently walking and has been since about christmas. His new thing is climbing on everything, hence the bruises to the forehead as inevitably with the climbing comes some great crashes. He has just cracked the 10kg mark and has 6 teeth. Four up the top and two on the bottom. He is finally

(yes it will happen) sleeping through again from about seven till seven and he is having two one and a half to two hour sleeps during the day. How much are you hating me right now???

But in all seriousness he doesnt stop in between those sleeps so he really needs them and so do I!

The cluckiness thing is starting to kick in againg and I would really love to have another one but DHs job is a bit unstable at the moment so will have to hold off a bit. My brother and his wife are finally preggers though after IVF so hopefully that will hold me off for a while.
Big congratulations to those of you who are pregnant, that is awesome and I hope you are keeping well. Hope all your babies have enjoyed their special days for those that have had them. I expect there will be a few tears on my part tommorrow as I think about my baby growing up.

I think I have rattled on enough to bore you all and sorry for the non personals but I am hopeless at keeping track of where everyone is at

Happy Birthday Scout!!

Just quickly all is going good here, DH started his new job yesterday and I think it seems it's going to work out in the end he can finish his apprenticeship.....phew!!

Birthday went well....I guess the big development is (and I KNOW you are all going to think OMG!! crazy woman!!) Jake is in his own big bed since Saturday. He loves it

Sleeping much better most nights....he wakes around 4-5am, which is much better. So now I have an empty cot sitting here

We are onto cow milk after lunch in a bottle, then a BF and cows milk top up for bed and a snuggly BF in bed in the mornings. Oh and Stacey.....Jake is very much the same as Scout, lol. For him the walking world is old hat now

he's much more into climbing EVERYTHING!!

Bec you don't sound crazy too me as we have been thinking of putting D into his own bed as well. I was reading somewhere that sometimes they wake up in thier cots when they hit the sides etc... cause they can be a little small and found they sleep better in their own cots. Good news about your DH and the new job.

Well work keeps rolling around, in the middle of it at the moment, soo tired..... so what else is new

Hi all,

I'm late sending birthday wishes, but wanted to say

Cohen and Scout for earlier in the week! I got on here Tuesday and said as much, but once again BB went kaput on me when I hit submit. Are you guys finding the same thing - that BB seems to 'drop out' often? It's started to give me the irrits ... you spend the time to type a decent response, only to lose it when the connection fails. Anyhoo ....

It's been a quiet week for us - Cam was supposed to have his second week at daycare, but instead came down with hand, foot and mouth disease! I can't get over how hideous it sounds ... particularly as it's not really a hideous condition. It just looks like Cam has a little pimple rash below his knees, with a few pimple-looking things on his feet and toes. I can only assume he caught it at daycare last week - he came down with the spots on Monday. He seems to have a mild dose of it and he's well, but I understand that if they get the blisters in their mouth, that's (understandably) when they get very grizzly and grumpy. But, we're under quarantine till the spots go. Hopefully it will go by Monday, as I'm back at work on Tuesday (oh joy

).

DH is going to work from home Tuesday so Cam can have a shorter day at care (provided he's ok to go back). Seeing as how he's missed going this week, DH and I don't want to him to have to do 7am till 5pm on his first day. We were supposed to build up to a full day this week, but obviously things didn't pan out that way!

I've got a few jobs to sort, so I need to keep going. I'll be back in the next couple of days to do personals.

A very belated

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those beautiful babies in our thread!! It sounds like everything went smoothly (minus the yellow M&M's lol) - but never mind!!

Bec - I'm so glad about DH being able to finish off his apprenticeship!!!

That is great news. So I guess you'll be searching for a house before Feb eh? Either renting or buying?? At least the pressure of DH's job stability is off of your mind now!!

It's amazing how advanced all these babies are progressing!! I'm jealous - I can't keep using the prem baby excuse, can I??

Maddy is able to stand up with assistance and hold onto the furniture and walk around that way. She has three bottom teeth and two top teeth. She sleeps a good solid 10 - 12 hrs from about 6pm - 8pm, which has been a blessing. I get excited each morning to see her standing in her cot with a big grin on her face, jumping up and down - she's such a happy baby.

Oh, and Maddy wanted to share a secret with you all.....She is getting a baby brother!!!! YAY!!!

AFM - I have encountered some 'issues' with a boss at work - who had a go at me as I didn't want to attend a promotional display we were putting on - as I knew that standing around for 1-3 hrs would absolutely kill my back...a half an hour shopping trip does these days. He did the silly thing and told me not to use pregnancy as an excuse! Our workplace is hot on these topics and I put in a formal complaint about him. Now he's trying to get me into trouble for very, very minor things. What he's forgotten is that the 'big' manager - who is high up the food chain loves my work, and can see straight thru this guy!!! He, he, he!!!

Leesa and Catherine - I can't believe you are both 20+ weeks preggas!!!! That is a nice time in the pregnancy though = well it was for me! Must be exhausting working too!

Will is moving about so quickly and confidently now. He is practically running! It happens so fast. He is so much happier now moving all on his own.

He is cutting his bottom right molar at the moment - he keeps pointing to where it is sore!

Two nights ago I moved him into his own room and stopped BFing at night. I was just too tired. The first night he through the biggest tantrum ever! He screamed and screamed for over one hour. The neighbours commented the next day. They said they had never heard him before but he woke them at 3am!!! A bit embarassing. He woke twice the next night but settled without such a fuss in about 20 mins. Let's hope tonight is better again! He is now in his room in the portacot. I thought we needed something different to completely stopped the constant feeding overnight. I still want to BF but i also desperately need my sleep! So enough was enough and we are having a go no extra feeds. The day before this I fed him 8 times!!!! I am way too soft with him! I will let you know who we go.

People who have been to sleep schools - a few of you went a few months ago - did it make a long term difference? Did it work for you? I would love to hear some feedback about your experiences because I really would like my little man to sleep again!

Better go and get some sleep myself.

We went to the sleep school in Jan. Yes there is a long term difference.
The main difference is that he is in his own room in his cot. He falls asleep by himself. With the help of the sleep school I learned to let him grizzle/cry, they would let him grizzle/cry upto 30 mins, I usually go in after about 5 - 10 mins and rewrap him. Most of the time I only have to do this once, sometimes not all, sometimes 2 or 3 times if he is really bad.
I'm not really tucking his arm in anymore just wrapping over it, usually by the time I am out the door his arms are out.
I think the fact that Dp keeps him up for 3-4 hours b/w sleeps has something to do with it aswell. You can imagine how upset he gets when I try to put him down after 2 - 3 hrs so 4 hrs it is

In saying this he still wakes once or twice overnight (at the moment I am sleeping in his room and the nights I don't he wakes once) Then he wakes up anytime after 6am and is ready for the day.

Hi guys,

Thought I'd pop in and say G'day.

Remember on my last post I said I had news, but that it wasn't another baby yet ...?

Well, guess what we got early this afternoon ....

I - we - are utterly stunned as this was completely unexpected. We were going to "officially try" in about August! Having said that, we weren't using contraception as I needed hormonal drugs to help conceive Cam, and I assumed I'd need similar for another conception. Unfortuately I've got absolutely no idea how far along I am, or when I could be due - I didn't really get AF back since before Cam. Thought I had AF 3 weeks ago (very light bleeding ...), but obviously it wasn't. Anyway, we've been digesting this all afternoon - and yes, we're thrilled! I'm thinking that "all being well", I'll be due towards the end of the year/early next. I need to get to a doc to find out!

I did the pg test earlier today because I've felt totally off colour the past couple of days - thought I'd take a test just to rule it out (I was SO sure I wouldn't have been pg). I actually thought I had a touch of gastro again! You can imagine my surprise when two lines came up. After picking myself up off the floor, I took another test just to be sure

. I'm still feeling crappola - I didn't get morning sickness with Cam - on a scale of 1 to 10, it was about a 1, for all of two weeks. This is about a 6 - I feel blurgh, but no throwing up (yet!).

So, looks like I'm joining the "two under two" club! Of course, IRL we'll be keeping this well under wraps until I'm past 12-14 weeks ... but I had to share with you guys.

Time for a few personals ...

Nic - how cute that D is fast becoming a cuddler and kisser! Cam has been a cuddler for a while, but I'm trying to get him to give us kisses. Sometimes I think he might be, but then he might just be taking the opportunity to slobber on my face instead

. Good to hear things have settled down with D's sleeps.

M2W - what a relief for you that Will is happy and settled at daycare. Hope he is going ok with his tooth - it's not much fun for some bubbas, is it. Don't worry about the neighbours, if they haven't been through it themselves, I daresay they might one day! Good luck with him sleeping - I've been fortunate to have a good sleeper, so I can't offer much help.

Leesa - glad to hear you and your growing bubba are keeping well. Take good care of yourself and take it easy! Glad to hear your nasty boss has disappeared for a while!

CM - I so understand our DS's fascination with ovens. My boy is always turning the clock/alarm button on. Thankfully it's difficult to turn ours on, so Cam hasn't worked it out. Glad to hear you are keeping well too. Gosh, you don't have long to go, do you! How exciting! Good luck with buying a house - it's a big step, but so worth it in the end.

Bec, Mel, Jo, Hayley, Macca, Laura, plus anyone else I've missed - hope you're all keeping well!
