Hahaha. Good for you Mel! I hope your lunch is wonderful, I'm sure it will be. I love having someone else do the cooking AND the dishes!
I hope all of the rest of you have a lovely day tomorrow too. My DH thought that it was last w/e! I'm expecting some yummy pancakes and jam which we bought at the farmers market today. The jam is strawberry and vanilla, it is so yummy!!!
-
Sounds good Mel, hope you are waited on all day and get to sleep in.
The Jam's sound nice Catherine, I am jealous mmmm I can just imagine how it taste.
As Mel said HOPE EVERYONE has a GREAT MOTHERS DAY.
I have just joined weight watchers so will be watching what I eat. I have already brought myself a new handbag for myself and will be getting some bathroom scales tomorrow - uhhh the things tha make me happy these days :p
Luey, I feel the same as you, I don't think I want another soon (or maybe ever!!) although dp would love to have one tomorrow but I have put him off until D turns 2 before we TTC. Glad Torrens House helped you, sounds similar to Trisillian and it does seem to have helped it.

Hi all,
Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow everyone - hope you all get spoiled rotten!
I'm just hoping my DH thinks of a better spot to hide my pressie. Last year he hid it in the ironing after I'd said I was going to iron the few things there (well, that's what I told him, but I was actually thinking "ironing, bugger off, it's Mother's Day). Admittedly he took me out for lunch, but after a bit of a barney from me late in the afternoon about not giving me a gift, he basically put the ironing basket at my feet and told me to look inside. And there I found a lovely card and $100 voucher to get a facial etc. I'm still not impressed he left his gift giving/fussing till Mother's Day became Mother's Night (shallow, aren't I!!) ... so I'm hoping he learned his lesson! Guess we'll see. At least, the ironing is up to speed, so it rules out that as a hiding spot.
All well here. Cam and I are recovering from a nasty cold and cough. We've been off work/childcare all week. He's now ok, but I can't shake my cough. Bugger pregnancy ... I want cough medication, boo hoo!! Cam's walking about 90 per cent of the time and is into EVERYTHING! Are any of you having trouble with feeding your toddlers? Cam is going through a mega fussy stage - it's very hit and miss as to what he'll eat and how much. Thank God he loves eggs - he gets them every second day, at least. Anyway, if others are going through this, what do you find works to get them to eat?
Bub wise, I had a scan on Thursday as I've had some very light spotting. Everything looks good. I can't get over how different I feel this pg - so very tired, and continually feel off colour right through the day. Not to mention lack of appetite, unmotivated etc etc etc. I'm told all this is "normal" ... so my pg with Cam must've been a dream - all I suffered was some mild fatigue early on. Hopefully it nicks off soon! Bring on week 12-14!!!
Hi to all - sorry for lack of personals. Have a great day tomorrow everyone.
Andie xx

Just so everyone knows it's still me NJD just had a name change.
Glad the scan gave you the ok catherine and hope you guys get better soon. I would like to say D is a good eater and mostly he is but he has his days where he eats less then others. I try not to worry about it too much, if after say 2 or 3 days he was being seriously fussy then I don't know what I would start to worry. Sorry if that isn't much help
Had a nice day on Sunday, spent mostly with D as dp was sorting out fishing gear. He is going away on Thurs for about 14 days. Not sure if I should feel this happy that he is going away but anyway we will see what is like when he isn't here.
Enough from me, chat later, not feeling well.
Nxxxooo

you tricked me Nic ;)
Hi to all, hope you all enjoyed your day sunday. I had a good one and was spoilt :)
sorry I don't get in here much, trying to put my efforts into my REAL life, iykwim.

Congrats Andie on your pregnancy! You ladies are very brave. Hubby and I are toying with the idea of another at the moment but one is so much hard work.
Hope you all had a great Mother's Day. Despite repeated phone calls, I was very happy not to have to spend a long lunch with MIL! (We took her to lunch the Sunday before!)
Will is literally on the run. He is so steady on his feet and clambers up on things as well. But he is so much happier exploring the world.
He loves talking on the phone - well talking in general. He has so many words all of a sudden, does animal sounds when you ask about the animal and points to all the relevant parts of his body and names them - Where did our baby go? It has all happened so quickly.
Will is a pretty good eater - but I find I have to offer lots of small options of various things. Variety is the key to getting him eating and letting him do some spoon work himself (although messy but he now can scoop and get a mouthful in).
He has settled in to his new childcare (but they can only get him to sleep about 20mins a day!). Oh, and he is on one sleep a day now - Anyone else's bub doing this?? He usually sleeps for 1.5hrs late morning so is very tired by 7pm bedtime.
At Easter I had the big tug a war about BFing overnight! Just stopped as he was waking constantly for a feed. It was a few days of screaming but now he will usually sleep 8 hours straight and then we resettle and he sleeps generally 10-12 hours (but always wakes around 5am for that BF). Now I am feeding 2 or 3 times a day - much more enjoyable!
Hope everyone is well! Now I am working, I find it hard to pop in but read your posts!

Sorry for the lack of personals ladies..
DD is in hospital - has been since Tuesday. She has RSV (a respiratory virus common amongst those aged 2 and under, and apparently more so in prem babies) - but in saying that 1 in 16 kids will get it - and it's caused bronchiolitis in her case, unfortunately.
She'd been displaying signs of high fever (around 39 - 40 degrees), very uninterested in food/ bottle - but would have watered down juice in small doses, and had a horrible cough. (Hence the reason for my initial post)..
DF took her to the GP who said 'off to the hospital' to get her oxygen levels checked....etc etc and she ended up needing to be put on oxygen, and they are only just slowing weaning her off of it now..
I have since found out babies - not just prem - are more suspectible to this, and it won't cause an ongoing health issue...so I'm not so paranoid about it anymore...
I'm all for immunisations and wish the government would approve one for RSV to stop it from going to other kids and babies....
I hope everyone had a great mothers day!! DF traced DD's hand on her card - it was so cute...
Take care ladies!! x
-
Leesa - so sorry to hear about DD. My son was in hospital earlier this year and it is very scarey! Look after yourself and my thoughts are with your family.
-
Oooh yeah Leesa :( That's not good news! I'm a bit confused about the whole RSV leading to bronchiolitis (sp.) ?? I've never heard of RSV, and Jake's had bronchiolitis a couple of times, I know Melbel's James has had it quite a few times too? Hope Maddy picks up soon.
Jake is driving me NUTS lately. He's cutting two molars atm which look nasty. He's getting really jealous too of even the other kids, I can't cuddle them in front of him without him throwing a tantrum and getting hysterical. He tries to push them out of the way and hit them!! I don't know what's going on, even Ben and Chloe being so close in age weren't like this at all!! his climbing is just getting ridiculous, I've had to take the legs off the kids small plastic table as he constantly climbs on it and falls off. He's really undergoing a personality change and it's not good. He's getting quite agressive, hitting, pushing etc. I find it hard to know what to do as I know he sees they kids do it all to each other so I know where it's coming from but I don't know how to stop it. Of course I don't LET the kids treat each other this way but kids are kids iykwim?? I'm not there 100% of the time so they do do it, lol. I'm just finding he's reaching that age where "no!" really comes into play, and he's not listening a lot of the time. *sigh* Right now 3 kids is all i can handle!!
Ok gotta run, hope you all are well, and I can't wait for these new bubbas to pop out! Catherine I think you must be up first??
-
Hi all,
Cam is running around like a little tornado, so not sure how much I'll get to type. I've just been off work for the second week - my cold/cough turned into a nasty chest infection. I'm getting better each day, but wish I could stop coughing up crud! Cam was back at daycare this week. But, of course, ALL the kids in the nursery still have mega-snotty noses and coughs, so time will tell if Cam gets a second dose of it. On one level, I understand why some parents can't afford to take time off work to keep their kids at home when they're not well, but on the other hand ... why send them to daycare if they're not well so they infect all the other kids (who then take it home to their parents!!!).
Leesa - Hope your DD is recovering well. Imagine it's a scary time for parents when their children are that sick they require hospitalisation. Thinking of you.
Nic - hope you're feeling better. Your name change threw me initially, but a change is as good as a holiday (so 'they' say!).
M2W - Glad to hear things are going well with Will - it's great you are still BFing. We stopped about 5 weeks ago. Cam just stopped being interested, and then a week later I found out I was pg, so I wonder if hormones affected my supply, and that's why he stopped. I'm pleased we BF'd for 13 months, it was a month longer than my grand plan.
Bec - our toddlers are certainly starting to assert their independence, aren't they. Maybe Jake is just trying to match it with Ben and Chloe? Not much fun for you though, with a little guy who is throwing his weight around.
Hi to Melinda, CM, Jo, Hayley, Laura, Macca and everyone else!
As for bubbas popping out ... I'm last on the list (at this stage ) I think. I'll just be happy to keep plodding along week by week. I'm still feeling blah, and I've been having mild spotting on and off. It's not concerning me, but by the same token, it'd be preferable not to happen. First appt with Ob on June 1, so I'll get everything checked out then. Scan last week showed everything going swimingly.
Have a great weekend all,
Andie xx
oh yeah, Cam's latest trick is to throw EVERYTHING over the gate at the top of our (internal) stairs. By everything, I mean balls, toys, placemats ... he even managed to get the vaccuum cleaner head over one day when I wasn't looking. It's maddening, but I can't think of a way to stop him. He listens to 'no', but it generally doesn't stop him ... and I don't think it's a smackable ( I don't smack hard on the odd occasion it's deserved) offence - knowing Cam he'll stop it in a couple of weeks once the novelty wears off! Sigh, toddlers!
-
(He he - quiet bunch aren't we?? Thought I'd bump us to the top of the list ;))..
I don't know all about RSV either becstar - I'm just glad Maddy is home with us again! She came home on the Saturday late morning - had a 4 hr sleep then was as right as rain. She even started taking more confident steps all by herself. My premmie girl is growing up :D
(In fact she has taken to 'vacumn surfing'...she lays on the barrell of the vacunm and holds on for dear life when i move it around the house - bizarre - but she loves it!)...
I guess the order is catherine (I think she's about 4 - 5 wks ahead of me), me (I'm 30 wks tomorrow) and andiE in December...
Not sure if its the PG hormones, but I posed a scenario to DF last night / this morning about getting hitched on the beach - like ASAP! Then we could plan our proper 'QLD Pt Douglas (renewal) wedding in 2 - 3 yrs time (as we were going to anyway). He agreed - but he's afraid if this bubba comes early we'd have to cancel it (pffft, I think - it'd only be cancelling the celebrant and two witnesses!!)...but then again there is Murphy's Law eh?? Am I nuts???
-
Hi girls!
I've got about 7 weeks to go I think! :o So close. It has gone really quickly!
Flynn is doing well. He seems to be cutting more molars on the top gum. Poor little bubba. He is running around everywhere. He is really smart too. He brings me my shoes when I'm putting on socks and tries to put them on my feet! He knows that more drink comes out of the tap. And that chang a nappy time means run away from mummy until she comes to get me!!! He is a real rascal! His favourite toys are the ones which are not toys at all. The other day it was the broom and the cobweb broom. They were banished to the laundry in a fit of tears (his AND mine!!!) cos the was waving them around most dangerously! He has gotten tall enough to reach things off the bench which used to be out of reach and he can reach things out of the bottom of the bath now too. I am amazed at some of the things which he brings to me! He is pretty rough, I think it is DH's fault. DH let's him smack his face and pull his hair and stuff like that. It drives me nuts. I hope he grows out of it before bub arrives...I do not need that!
We have some exciting news on the house front. We were given a 2 bedroom relocatable home for FREE!!!! Well for whatever it costs us to move it. It's a bit exciting. So we are currently looking for land. Which is turning out to be quite frustrating. Hopefully the perfect spot for us comes up soon.
Anyway hope you are all going well :)
Take care.

Hi all,
CM - gee, just seven weeks to go. That's exciting!! I'm 12 weeks tomorrow, and to be honest Dec 12 seems an eternity away at the moment. Am sure I'll find time flies by all too quickly though. Flynn certainly sounds like a little character - I'm very envious that your little man brings you shoes and understands the concept of taps. Think we're quite some way off "logic" in this house yet! Cam's still only at "mumum" and "dadad" with his words. He babbles away constantly, and often things he says have certain sounds ... like he IS saying something, if that makes sense. But damned if I know what he's on about. Yeah, Flynn's daddy might find it funny for him to be smacked in the face, but I don't imagine he'll be laughing if darling Flynn gives his new brother or sister a welcoming whack. Not saying that he will ... but maybe the thought of it will change your DH's opinion ;) Dad's love playing rough n tumble with their boys though, don't they! Great news on your home offer - good for you. Hope you find your perfect block soon.
Leesa - So glad that Maddie is fighting fit again. They do seem to bounce back well, don't they. And the thought of her vacuum surfing made me grin - these kids do like the strangest things, don't they!! And hunny, if you want to get married on a beach ASAP, then go for it! Weddings are all about what the hubby-and-wife-to-be want, so your wedding plans sound lovely. Good luck with it all and keep us posted.
Cam's not well again - a middle ear infection in both ears, and a throat infection. And he's got a mega snotty nose. Poor little thing has been running high temps on and off since lunchtime yesterday, and we had a shocking night with him last night - usually a clear sign he's unwell, as he always sleeps through the night. Anyway, I took him to the doc and got the diagnosis. Upshot is, he was prescribed antibiotics ... and then about two hours after his first dose, he got a really bad case of the shakes and looked very off colour. Luckily it was before closing time at our medical centre (all of 200 metres up the road from us), so DH whipped him straight down and got him checked out. Looks like Cam could have an allergy to penicillan. He's had pen. before - about 5 months ago, but it was a milder dose. This time round it was stronger AND I'd bought a generic brand. Dr told DH that generic brands can use different sugars/flavourings than the "dinky di' brands. But he said it was only a slight possibility he reacted because it was generic. Anyway, guess we'll have to see what happens down the track - neither DH nor I have any sort of allergies, so it would seem strange for Cam to have one. But again, I guess we won't know for sure until he requires antibiotics again - in which case, I can only assume that they would have to be administered under medical supervision "just in case" ?? Dr gave Cam clarantyne (spell?) which controlled the allergic reaction and cleared up the shakes in under 15 minutes. And no more penicillan ... apparently we've now got a script for something different.
In other news, we've got our NT scan on Monday. I started worrying about it during the week, but checked on my odds with Cam and I was 1:4400. So, I shouldn't have any reason to worry. I guess it's at the back of my mind that I didn't take folate/vitamins in the lead up ... anyway, I'm determined not to "stress" until I need to :).
Hope everyone else is keeping well. Have a good weekend and please wish me Open Home vibes - after nearly two months on the market we're ready to sell, but the two offers we've had were well below what we were hoping to get. Luckily we haven't bought elsewhere, but at this rate we'll still be here on bub#2's EDD!! Arrgghh!

Hi all how is everybody? Bellies growing nicely? :D
We have had a month from hell really, my DHs dad passed away after fighting cancer for over a year so we had a rush trip home to NZ. He was in the hospice so we got there just in time (like by an hour and a half)to say goodbye which was good. It was a good trip despite the sad circumstances. Bloody freezing though. My poor boys have forgotten what it is like to be cold. Scout was actually shivering and his lips were blue it was that cold, two weeks was definately long enough.
He is a bit of a jetsetter now though. Two overseas trips and he is only 14mths!!!
Scout is still the he who shall be obeyed in our house which is I know is going to come back and hit me in the bum sooner rather than later. I find myself giving in to him just to keep him happy or quiet even though I know I really shouldnt be. He is just so determined and stubborn and I guess I am tired or just plain cant be bothered some days that it is easier. I really do have to knock it on the head though or I am going to be paying for it.
He has decided that some days he is a big boy and only needs one sleep. To be fair it is usually a 3 hour one in the middle but it sux as that means we have to go out sparrows fart to back by about lunch time,or leave it till after he has slept which then coincides with the school pick up. He is in bed by about 6.30pm on those days though which I like and he is sleeping till about 7.30am. So he really does love his bed. That trait he got from me but the stubborness is definately his dads side.
He is a loveable ratbag who is so busy and clever. He is "talking" a fair bit with words like Mum, dad, dog, cat, oos (juice) one two (when we put his shoes on) more? boys. He understands so much too he really isnt my baby anymore.
But we (Dh just goes along with what I have decided) have decided that we are going to do it again. Not till next year though as I want to try gender swaying and it is so confusing I think I am going to need a good few months to work it out.
Oh well I think thats about all in our camp hope all is happy and healthy in yours
xx

Hidee hi campers :)
Its so lovely to read all about your lives and babys, though they are not so little any more.
Ollie thinks hes a big boy and runs around with his brother, screams if Lucius goes outside to play and trys to leave him behind. He can say about 8 words and understands alot more. Is stubborn and so cheeky. Hes still not into eating really and that is an ongoing sorce of stress for us but he is happy and is a little man on the go! He loves animals, we have a dog and recently discovered 4 semi-wild kittens at the family factory so everyday he wants to go there watch the dog and cats (both boys love them.)
2 months ago FIL said we could find our own apartment, but finding 1 in the area we want for an ok price is proving to be hard and then getting the time is another thing- there are no regular days off for my husband and he is also busy trying to set up our new company, I am finding this agonising as I am so over ready to have our own home again. I feel alittle sad for the boys though, I know they enjoy living with their gandparents- both boys just adore their grandpa, but we arent moving so far and they will still see them alot every week.
Its getting hot here, and Kindy will break on the 26th of June till 1st of September, so will have the 2 boys here alot, though Lucius will want to go to the factory often- hes so cute, he wants to work, put gloves on and pushes round a cart for his grandpa to put things on.
How big are your babys now? weights and heights I am due to get Ollie sized soon.

:bump:
Gosh, we're a quiet bunch, aren't we? Imagine it's our toddlers + other children keeping us so busy!
All-boys: Sorry to hear about your FIL, hope your DH and your family are doing ok. I grew up in Tassie and moved to Darwin in my late 20s. I've been "home" at least once or twice a year since, but usually avoid the colder months. However, my nan and pop passed away (separately) in June and July (4 yrs apart), so went back then. Oh. My. Goodness. Itwassoooobloodycold!!!!!! You tend to forget - quickly - what REAL cold is like, don't you! I complain about Brissie winters now, and it's still 20deg min during the day . What a wuss, huh? Scout sounds like a real little charmer - and hey, a happy toddler generally equals a happy mum!! Woo hoo to you and hubby going another "round". Good luck for a BFP when the time comes!
Doubletrouble - how is the apartment hunting going? Looking for a new home is so much "fun", isn't it? We're moving in less than a month - with bub#2 on the way, our current home isn't quite right for us - only two bedrooms upstairs (where all the main living is). We found (bought) a four-bedroom home, with three b'drooms upstairs. Can't say I'm looking forward to the actual packing up and unpacking, but the house we've bought is pretty fab, so I AM looking forward to living there. I'm sure your boys will still see plenty of their grandparents - wished Cam's lived closer to us, truth be known. Fortunately we get to see them a few times a year for a good stint each time, but it's not the same as growing up nearby (I had the luxury of growing up with a wonderful nan and pop - mum's parents - who lived half an hour away. I could only wish that for Cam!).
As for us - Cam isn't too bad, although today he started to develop a bit of a chesty cough. Not sure what to make of it as he's been perfectly well. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens. Cam's still not talking "words" (except mum and dad), but he chatters away, pointing at things usually, constantly. He's still only got five teeth (three on top, and two middle bottom ones), so I wonder if he'll start forming words when another few teeth are through. He's still generally a happy little soul, although is starting to try be more autonomous ... which is now starting to end in a mild temper tanty. You know the kind: I want the knife. "No - you can't have the knife". Cam sits on the floor, face crumples, bends forward with a wail, looks at mum like she's caused his world to cave in "Waaaaaaah". Ten seconds later, gets distracted and goes off to do something else quite happily. For the record - he's never been close enough to a knife to want one ...just an abstract example!
Gotta go - dinner's just arrived (take away wood-fired pizza - a treat!). All's well with me. 15 weeks today and tummy is starting to pop. Been crook heaps lately - catching every virus and bug going around. Anyway, seem to (finally) be on the mend! Here's hoping.
CM - saw your ticker the other day, less than 3 weeks to go now, huh? Hope you're keeping really well. Can't wait to hear your announcement.
Bec, Mel, Jo, Nic, Hayley, Laura, Macca ... EVERYONE .... hope all's well with your tiny tots and you.
Take care,
Andie xx
