Bron - forgot to say, i ended up getting some pawpaw ointment (im sure it was you that told me to get it ages ago) and it has been MJ saviour this last 2 weeks.
She is teething bad, has an awful dribble rash and she is contantly rubbing her jaw and ears so making the rash worse... i lather her in it about 4 times a day - the only time she looks good is the morning thou.
    Poor thing.

    Trina how are the girls?
Danni - the best thing about the way im doing food with MJ is that there is no mushing or pureeing at all - HOWEVER a friend of mine got something from Mouneax (or something like that) that u put the food in a you just push and turn it and it puree's the food for you. I will see if i ca find some info on it of you like.

MJ had hommus (homemade) on toast and broccoli trees for dinner - she LOVED the hommus (like her mummy) i wonder if she will have garlic breath in the morning

PMSL SJ nothing like bubba garlic breath. I gave summer some cheese and tomato today and a bit of bread, gosh it was everywhere so messy she loved it though.

Danni i have a little processor thingy like what SJ is talking about like a magic bullet that is advertised on tv but i just got it from big w months ago it is the best gadget/appliance i have ever bought, i love it!!!! It juices, blends, purees crushes ice, chops. I steamed veges put a little of the steam water in and 5 seconds and its done, it comes with lids so you can store whatever you have chopped/pureed straight in the container you chopped it in. Comes with ****tail jugs with coloured rings so you can tell which is yours not much of a drinker these days but may come in handy one day
    SORRY FOR THE INFOMERCIAL........

All children sick in my house poor codie isn't well so going to see how she is in the morning, she wants to go away if she is sick but im not sure

Im off to bed sooooo tired

SJ i fed Summer veges with pureed chickpeas

I think I know the device you are talking about. Might look into that.

Damn Snugglers nappies. Never again. I had to redress Jesse 3 times last night coz they leaked. Going to buy Huggies today. Not impressed.
That's so strange. I love snugglers. Although I've heard they are great for girls but terrible for boys, maybe that's why you hate them and I love them. I guess if I have a boy next time I'll compare and see if that theory is correct.

I just mashed Jesse's vegies with a potato masher last night.
    Pumpkin, potato & broccoli.
I tried to give him a bit tonight, but he wasn't interested. I think he was still full from the bottle anth gave him earlier when I went to do some washing.
I did give him some pear, but he gouldn't get hold of it again. i'll have to cut it better next time.

Danni - I heard that too. Got my Huggies though. Its hard to do all that extra washing with no wash/mach.

I tried giving Jazz a bottle when we got home from daycare. She had a bottle at 3:30 and then veggies at 4:30. She only drank about 50ml of her bottle at 6pm and then was too tired. I gave her a bath and tried to give her more bottle but she just wasn't interested and fell asleep as soon as I turned the light off in her room.

She only seems to have 4-5 bottles and one or 2 solid feeds a day now and she is really happy with that. Her weight gain is fine so I'm not worried.
1 Bottle first thing in the morning
3 at day care plus a solid feed
Then she may or may not have a bottle in the evening before bed. I always offer one, but she wont always take it.

That's OK Danni. The recommended amount on my FF tin is 3 - 4, 180 - 210 ml feeds a day.
    Sounds like she's getting enough.

I've found a good treatment for nappy rash! My FDC lady told me that a mother of a child she used to look after was very much into natural things and used to use lavander water on a tissue to wipe and it always cured / prevented nappy rash. So I decided last night to cut up some nappy liners (that I haven't used because I only have a few clothies and am too slack to use them). So I've cut them in quarters, I soaked them in some warm water with a few drops of lavander oil and a bit of sorbaline. Wrung them out so they are just damp and put them in the huggies wipe containers. I'm also using sorbaline instead of any nappy rash creams or powders and the redness is decreasing.

I had to stop using commercial wipes because they all containe a bit of alcahol and poor Jazz would scream when her bum was getting wiped coz it would have stung.

    Just dropping in quickly.
Gotta be at school for open class at 12.15, so better shower & make myself presentable first!
Just wnated to have a winge really, there's a thing on at the oval about 5 houses up from us & when they were setting up & testing the sound they were doing it at 10.30 - 11pm last night!
They had the music so loud I freaked! We have 2 cars in the drive way & the music sounded at first like it was coming out of a car. So that scared the cr@p out of me, then it got louder & started echoing through the house!!
I ended up getting up the guts to go out side to find out where it was, but I'm not happy!
Then they started again at 7am this morning!!!
Its going now & I just wanna punch someone! Its really annoying me!
Anyways...I'll be back later. Sorry for the winge.

    Hey girls,

Posting from Byron Bay (Doni brought his laptop with him - still has to check emails). Having a lovely time, we are staying extra night (Thurs) because we are loving it so much. I even got burnt today (silly me no sunscreen on me but plenty on DJ), but luckily we made sure DJ was well covered up. His first time to the beach, loved the feel of sand between his toes. We forgot to bring the camera along with us though doh!! Doni put his feet into the water but it was too cold so he didn't like it. Didn't have him on the beach for too long was too worried about him getting burnt and he was overtired. So, all good up here. We are seeing a close friend of ours while we are here. Had dinner last night and he is staying with us tonight so he can spend the whole day with us tomorrow. Going to Nimbin and Mullimbimby tomorrow.

Still no teeth but teething... Spoke to mum again and my brothers first tooth actually didn't come through until he was 1 year old!!!!! and in one week he got all 6 teeth within one week but was teething for several months beforehand.....arghhh so it could be a while before DJ gets his first tooth. He has been teething for 1.5 months now....

He loves his solids though. My baby food that I made didn't last for whole time so bought some organic baby food (no preservatives etc). It is the Only Organic brand and I find it to be really tasty and less like baby food and more like real food. Anyway he had pumpkin and wild rice today as well as pear and wildberries. Loved both of them We gave him a little bit of honey on our finger last night and loved that. Must have a sweet tooth like his mummy.

Skye - yes DJ cried when he was doing a poo. He is no longer constipated now.... thankfully but he gets it every now and again, still no tooth though.... and still teething.

Prama - welcome back and I bet Steve was over the moon to see you both woohooo can't wait to see you. Maybe next week?

SJ - oh how cute on the baby led foods..... DJ loves his veges and fruit. Haven't tried him on cheese yet....We gave him a very small amount of honey last night and he absolutely loved that!!! not too much just a taste.

Trina - oh how did Summer like the chickpeas?? It is interesting trying different foods with them. I couldn't store my freshly made baby food for the whole trip so bought some organic no preservative added baby food. He had Pumpkin and Wild Rice Mash today and loved it Also gave him Pear and Wildberries and loved that as well.

Sorry I have missed a few of you in personals, couldn't get to the other page....

Take care girls and will post again hopefully in next few days or when we get home on FRiday.

Shell - please dont give DJ any more Honey, it one of the ones that should never be introduced before 12 months... not for allergies, but becasue it can contain a form of botulism that can be dangerous to babies. check out this link

Thanks for the heads up SJ..... Didn't know that.... Luckily it was only a little on the tip of Doni's finger..... He has been fine since having it as well. I won't be giving him anymore after your post. Thanks again for the headsup.

another quick one. sorry so tired from training.

danni - hats off to you for working and being a mum. im finding it exhausting!!!

shell - yes, they told us no honey, cow's milk till a year old.

trina - do you just chickpeas from the supermarket and cook it up? I like chickpea!

skye - can you complain to the police?

Sorry i didnt post properly before... Just wanted to respond re the honey, but didnt have time for anything else

Skye - what a pia!!! i would have gone down there and told them off

Danni - i use camomile and calendula tea in the solution that i wipe MJ with.. the camomile is soothing and the calendula is antibac so will help prevent anything from occurring. Fingers crossed none yet... but the naturopath at the local chemist told me that if she gets nappy rash to add it to her bath water too.... i get camomile tea bags from the local supermarket and the calendula tea from a heath food store...

Lisa great to hear from you and fantastic news on the rolling

i have been hiding it in the girls food too cos not much taste and all the good protein i put it in spag bol last week and nobody suspected a thing mwahahahaha *evil laugh*

I add kidney beans (among 7-10 other veggies) to our spag bol... it all gets blended up so no one is any wiser!

Prama - hope the course is going well, what a whirlwind, only just arriving home and then on the course, o wonder you are exhausted. Bet it was great to see Steve again (wink wink)
The chickpeas that i use in our hommus are from a can, but i am going to get a bag from the supermarket and cook them up.

MJ had avacardo on toast for breaky, no lunch as she was buggered and cheese stick (just to clarify, i cut a bit off the block not one of those processed things) and pumpkin for dinner.
I have noticed that her fine motor is improving so much now that she is having to pick up the food herself... she is so much better from last week when we first strated.

We have been haviing yelling/screaming competitions lately... she loves it and giggles soooo much.

She is still not rolling as much as some of the other babies, she is quite happy to just look around...

DH has been working stupid hours, last night he came in at 1am, he is still at work now, he promises that he wont be much longer.

Well i think thats it from me Oh MJ has slept through since Saturday night (hope i havent jinxed myself)
