Buggar prama this site really annoys me like that sometimes..I have taken to copying what I have written before I hit submit becasue its happened ot me a few times to.
How you doing? you have been on my mind a lot
Danni SJ is right there should have been an incident report and you should have have been asked to sign the copy that stays in the centre and and gotten yor own copy to tak ehome. The centre is required bylaw to keep any records of your child until get this..they are 21 years old!!! GO back and ask for one. Poor Matt it is often the dads that get more upset about things that happen at childcare and yeah your right accidents do happen and it wont be jazz's last either. Sickness and bumps and scrapes that happen not only at childcare but a thome too its just seems worse when the kids arent in your care.If supervision at theentre isnt what you should think it should be then care might not be the place for Jazz. She does sound like has been enjoying it though.SJ is right it doesnt make it easy to swallow when they are so young though but its part of life I do hope Jazz is ok.
    Trina hows things?
    Skye hun
hang in there am sorry you are feeling this way atm you are doing such a great job you just need some good things for you wish I was closer to do some girly things with you

    bron -
I normally copy my posts. But yesterday esp. I could post on one thread with no problems, and then go to another thread and get a token error. It was just random, didnt seem to be consistent error..........

danni - yeah, they MUST fill an incident report.
yoghurt is good for babies, as it has more calcium than normal milk. it's not cow's milk per se, just like formula.
but of cos if you dont want to give jazz yoghurt, you have every right not too.

im going to see the osteo today, i feel like i pulled a groin muscle. have been in so much pain, can hardly walk, it was so hard picking up poopy, changing him etc.

Well, I spoke to the director of the CC today and sent her an email advising we are ceasing all care for Jazz effective immediately. I know we still have to pay for this coming fortnight but Matt said she's not going anymore at all, not even for the fortnight we are paying for. So he's got her every Wed & Fri starting tomorrow. (Although he was half asleep when he said this so I wonder if he'll remember) LOL.

I have asked the director to send me the bank details so we can do EFT for the money we owe. When she replies to that I'll ask her about an incident report for Wednesday. Thankfully Jazz's eye looks fine today, maybe slightly bruised if you look really closely but it just looks a bit like a tired bag under one eye rather than a bruise.

I feel kind of bad for taking her out of care, but it's becoming too much of a financial burden for us and also we feel there is no comparison with FDC. In my experience a CC is a business, they run it like a business in that they charge a fortune and have the least amount of staff they can legally have. I find that the child:carer ratio in cc is not suitable for a baby as young as Jazz. At FDC (well, at our FDC) it's run like what it is, a caring, loving home environment where the carer and her family genuinely love and care for the children like their own. There are only a max of 4 children in the home at any one time and even though it's only the wife who is the carer, her husband can assist as well but mainly does this with their own grandson who they look after most days. We have really started a good friendship with the carer and always feel welcome in her home.

Sorry for my long post. Prama, due to regular problems like you experienced, when I have written a long post, I always copy it before hitting the post button just in case so that if there is an error I can just paste it and try again.

    Hi all.

    First things first

Thankyou all for your support. I'm so lucky to have you all.

Danni - I have a friend who had her DD in FDC for about 18 months. It was onle 1 day a week to start, then everyday when she worked & they are really good friends.
My friend & her family moved up to Brisbane at the end of last year & when they came back for the last holidays at her mum's the FDC lady was there waiting for them!
Her DD misses her like mad & thinks of her as like a sub Nan. Its cute.

I just found out there's a pre school here for free. Its run through the public school, I might go see them when Bri's feeling better & find out more about it. I'm not sure how it'd work when we don't use the public school. Bri will be going to the Catholic school here, so will have to find out if its still free.
Might ask about the FDC thats run through the DC centre across the road. I think I'll get both the little ones in somewhere 2 days a week & go start looking into TAFE.

Hope we are all feeling better soon.

I don't care who's fault it is! It's bl00dy annoying & it happens way too often!

On a happier note I just got the professional pics I had done of the kids when Jesse was about 1 or 2 weeks old. I uploaded some in my gallery. Check 'em out.
